Getting closer and closer, absolutely can't wait. Again, as of recording this, so recording this on August 4th, you guys are listening to this on August 5th. We had the NFL Hall of Fame game last Thursday. So football is here. We will have some form of football, even though pre-season NFL football is hardly watchable. Although I will say it is fun trying to see watching some of the K-sit guys trying to make teams. Again, none of that in the Hall of Fame game. But with Echo Boido and Phillip Brooks, who will be playing a lot for the Chiefs pre-season, seeing how Felix Envy, DK, Zama looks, and the Chiefs pre-season, that's something I'll definitely be dialed in on as well as trying to catch highlights of our guys and other pre-season games. But really, it's the countdown for August 31st. As of the time we are listening this, we're what, 26 days out from that very first kickoff. We're what, 19 days-ish away from Week 0, which I already tried to do my Week 0 excitement. I'm not going to sit back. I'm not going to go through and tell you why I'm excited for each of those three Week 0 games. But hey, it is almost here. And Blitz month is going to make it go by even quicker. So this week, quick rundown of what we got this week, of course, we'll have five shows for you Friday up in the air. We got some irons in the fire, and I'm kind of at Liberty and we'll get a Blitz month preview for you guys on Friday. I'm not sure who Friday would be. Let's just hope that, let's just hope one of those irons get to come out of the fire. But we got today's episode and then the three 100% locked in loaded Blitz month preview episodes. Tomorrow we're going to have Ace Edwards from the Aggieville Alleycats podcast. Then we got the two young guns at the two big websites. We'll have Cole Carmondy on Thursday and then on Wednesday we're going to have Drew Galloway, Drew Galloway with KSO, Cole Carmondy with Go Power Cap. I say young guns, but both these guys have been doing their thing for a few years now at their respective spots and both are excelling greatly. So already have Ace and Cole recorded getting Drew recorded here soon as well. I can say that the episode with Ace and the episode Cole, 5 out of 5, definitely listen. So that's what's going on this week. Again, stay tuned for Friday. May have to move a Blitz month preview into that. Might be able to get a super special guest, so stay tuned working on things. This episode, this Monday episode, I'll be talking about there's three 5 stars and two top 54 stars that K-State has made the cut for in basketball. So I'm going to discuss my reaction to that, four out of the five of those that came out last week. So it was like every day last week is like, oh, K-State makes the top seven for this five star. Oh, they make the final eight for this five star. Oh, they make the final eight for that five star. Oh, they make the final five for this four star. So I'm going to talk about my reaction to that. Is it spelling a change of high school recruiting strategy? Why is K-State getting in with these blue chippers despite a mediocre at best season last year? I'll give my take on that here in a moment. After that, we'll touch on the two latest commitments for K-State football. Both of them are safeties. So I'll talk a little bit about that, and then I'll end with things that I took away from video I've been able to see from pre-season camp, whether it's from the open practice or some other video highlights I've been able to procure. And then also some whispers coming out of Manhattan after one week of practices. So that is the map. That's what we're going to talk about today. Before we get into it, how about our friends at Manhattan Brewing Company? I hope one day I get to talk about how excited I am for them to expand to Johnson County and the Kansas City Metro. But until that time, I do want to get all of you in the Wichita areas excited. They are launching the Manhattan Brewing Company Lounge here in just a couple weeks. I believe they have a pop up next week. They've been all over the Wichita Metro. And look, Air City USA, they have great tasting beer because they've been taking to it so well. Manhattan Brewing Company is opening up a permanent spot down in the Wichita area. I know exactly where I'll be getting pre-game beers before the K-State Wichita State basketball game later in December. So make sure if you're in the Wichita area, make sure you check out all their pop ups and check out their space at NBC Lounge when it opens up. For the rest of us, anytime you go to the happiest place on planet Earth, happiest place in America, Manhattan, Kansas, make sure you're stopping by the brewery. They have all sorts of great stuff. And folks, we are right around the corner. I can almost taste the pumpkin batch beer. So be ready, get excited, the best beer that they do. And I say that that's my favorite beer. It's my favorite beer. But guess what? If you like pumpkin beers, it doesn't matter if you like stouts or anything that's super malt for it. If you're a hop head and loving the IPAs, something sour, something sweet, something crushable and crisp, it doesn't matter your taste. Manhattan Brewing Company has you covered. And guess what? They also have great cocktails as well and their partnership with Bullet Burban, my favorite bourbon. So look, it doesn't matter what you like, Manhattan Brewing Company has you covered the best brewery in the state of Kansas. The plan is to be recording a couple episodes from Manhattan Brewing Company here in the coming weeks. So if you do see me in there recording, feel free to come by and say hi, as long as you don't see us talking. Manhattan Brewing Company truly the best. All right, let's get into it again. I talked about what we are going to go through in this episode. We're leading off with K-State, being in the running with all these blue chick basketball prospects, which really has our friends in Lawrence, Kansas, and none of them actually live in Lawrence. But, you know, our friends who cheer for the team in Lawrence, Kansas, they're beside themselves. Saw some absolutely unhinged behavior from KU fans last week on Twitter when seemingly every five star who made an announcement of their finals seven or eight schools, K-State was included, and they could not handle that at all. So the three guys, and it's like the number one, the number three, and the number eight player in the nation, all having K-State in their final seven or eight, we got A.J. Dispanda, Malik Thomas, and Darren Peterson. All three of those guys, the first one absolutely butchered the last name. So I'm sorry, A.J., I promise you come to K-State, I will pronounce your name. I'm not going to say perfectly, but I'll get better. So all three of those guys this past week trend down their list in K-State was all part of them. Is K-State the leader for any of these? Probably not. You know, as much as I would love to grab two or three of these guys, you know, one is heavily linked to BYU, K-U is the leader for one of those, which definitely got their fans mad because K-State is a player in all three. And again, not a leader for all three, and I'm not going to sit here. I'm not going to predict that we grab all three. I'm not even going to predict we grab one of them. But would I be shocked if K-State came away with one of these top ten players? No, I am not going to be shocked at all. I think K-State is a very real player for these three, and here's the thing. With high profile recruiting of any of any, it doesn't matter if it's football, it doesn't matter if it's basketball. Once they start trending their list, if they get it down to under 10 and say, "Hey, these are the seven. These are the eight that I'm going to be focusing on," you have a shot. You are in the game, you know, EA sports, you're in the game for this recruitment. And again, the reason why that is so important, that is when the recruit is publicly saying, "Hey, look, I am close. No new customers. These are the teams I'm focusing in on." And I think, especially with basketball, once you get that cut down, I think we have a staff. I think you have Jerome Tang, and I think his entire staff, they all have the ability to be very good recruiters, and once you get into that period where, "Hey, you know who you're going against," and you're in the race to try to get an official visit. And I think Jerome Tang says this, I think Chris Kliman says this, Taylor Brat says this, and we're still working on getting Taylor Brat on as well. But once you get them to visit Manhattan, Kansas, you have a shot. That is how special of a college town, that's how special the facilities are, that's how special the fans are. If you can get them to come on a visit, you definitely have a shot. So I think K state's going to be in the running, and it's going to be really fun to follow those three, and then there's two more that we'll talk about here briefly here in a second. And I think the reason why K state, especially in basketball, is in the running for these guys. We saw it during transfer portal season. K state is one of the biggest players in all of college basketball when it comes to NIL. When it comes to men's basketball NIL, K state consistently was being mentioned by the national media of teams that are the most aggressive when it comes to NIL. And I think we've seen at times with football as well, they'll do what it takes to go after guys that they want and be competitive in the NIL space as well. I think in both sports, I think, I think what high profile recruiting's come to, blue chip recruiting in football, in basketball, and even the high end three stars in football. I think that the initial conversation with every recruit, and this is me from the outside. No one has told me this, this is just my perception. You have to have an initial number to get in the door. For a men's basketball recruiter or a blue chip football recruiter, they probably say, "Hey, look, if you aren't offering at least insert, goal or figure here, it's not going to work out." And I think the great part about K state with Wildcat NIL, with K state's big money donors, if they have allowed the coaching staffs for both sports to have that flexibility and say, "Hey, NIL will never be the reason we can't get in the door." We are going to do what it takes to get in the door and allow our coaches to truly get back to recruiting. And what we saw in the transfer portal, what we saw with national coverage and talk about K state's NIL, I think with basketball, there is no doubt, there is no recruit in the country that we couldn't get in the door because of NIL. Now are we going to be able to outbid everyone for every player? No. No, there is definitely a limit, there is definitely a budget, and I am trusting both sporting staff who adhere to that. I am trusting the different NIL arms to take care of that. But then being able to get in the door and get back to traditional recruiting is a massive thing. If you can't even get in the door, it doesn't matter how good of a recruiter you are, it is not going to matter. So I am very pumped about going after those three five stars. I would love to land one of them. I am not naive enough to think you are going to get two, you are definitely not getting three. But if you can land one of those three, it would be absolutely massive. The two other names that you need to be familiar with when it comes to blue chit basketball, high school guys that they have made the final list for, the semi final list, I guess you could probably call the final four, the final list. But two other guys they will be looking to get in for official visits are four star guys, both in the top 50 Nigel Walls and Cam Ward, both of the, like I said, both of these guys as well as the three five stars, they all look to be wanting to take an official visit 2K State. And again, you have these five guys and I am starting to wonder, okay, has there been a massive change when it comes to high school recruiting? If you go back to the first full class, of course, kind of infamous now, you know, you have Dave Ames, you have Buddy Rich and you have RJ Jones, tough to keep all the RJ's together with K-State basketball, but you have those three and those really seem to be the three guys they zeroed in on from the jump, they got all three guys and then they took three guys. The next season it really seemed to be finalist and really zeroing in on two guys, David Castillo, who I think at this point was already committed or if it, if he hadn't already committed, it was coming up close here in August and then Big Pat and Gangba, who ended up at Duke. We all remember that. So I don't, I don't think the strategy of taking at a minimum one guy at a maximum three guys has changed, but it might be, it might be, I'd be interested to ask Jerome Tang this. They may have changed the fact that, hey, they're willing to quote unquote zero in on more guys. I feel like, and this might be all anecdotal. This might just be in the moment thinking, because I'd have to go back the last, you know, August of 2023 in August of 2022 to, to, to go back and really see if this is true or not. But it seems like being involved with five guys, this late into the game is a little bit of an anomaly. They seem to have zeroed in on a smaller group at this point. Now is this a sign of them wanting to take more? Like I said, I don't think so. I think it is always going to be between one to three guys. I think predominantly they want top 50 top 60 guys and they're not going to look too far beyond that. But it is interesting. Something that I haven't talked about on here, there's been a little bit of chatter outside in kind of the quote unquote mainstream. So I'm talking, you know, Kansas City Sports, Stock Radio, National Sports Podcast, you know, legacy media and the newspapers, there is the roster limits, which by default are raising the scholarship limits in both football and basketball, football going from really an unlimited roster, you know, there is travel roster restrictions and pre-season camp restrictions. But really you could have 150 guys on your team come August 1st or come, excuse me, the game week, that's when you can have everyone versus a hundred during pre-season camp. So it's going up to 105 and you can have scholarships for all those guys. But specifically with basketball, you can get up to 15 guys on the roster now. I think some rosters have 16 with three walk-ons. So 13 scholarship and three walk-ons, but you can have up to 15 scholarships now. I'll be interested to see if this does change things for Coach Jerome Tang. Is it one to three blue chip guys plus one high school project? Is it, you know, two extra transfer projects or going to JUCO? I'll be interested to see how he uses those. Coach Tang has been, he has a little, has a little bit of a pipeline in to Manhattan Christian College and grabbing someone in their final year of eligibility and getting them to walk on for K-State, a little bit of pipeline right there. I'll be interested to see how he changes that. I don't, I don't think that's changing how his high school recruiting is going, at least not with the blue chip type of guys. Because ultimately here's the thing, I think you're going to have a tough time in modern college basketball, bringing in more than three, you know, blue chip high school guys at all. Because with the, with the ease of the transfer portal, and we saw it two out of the three left for K-State this past year, players are not okay, you know, not having a storing role early. And if, if you're not going to be able to give that to them in year two, they're going to go somewhere where they can. So I don't think that's going to change, but I will be interested to see how Coach Tang deals with that two extra scholarships. Football, we'll touch on that, touch on it here because I did bring it up. It'll be worth keeping an eye on. You see K-State continuing to offer walk-on spots for this upcoming year. I don't, and I think the proposal is for the 25-26 season, so next football season, so starting next August, this rule would go into place. I'm not 100% positive if it's a done deal or if it's just a proposal. But if it goes in to practice next season, it'll be really interesting to see how the fallout happens with football. Because I know places like K-State, I think they have 125, 130 guys most years. I think there's some teams that have all the way up to 150, it's insane how big some of these rosters are, almost like one walk-on for every scholarship player. It'll be very interesting to see how football teams manage this. Our team's going to be like, "All right, we're taking on 105 true scholarship players, our place is like K-State going to keep it around 85, and then carry just 20 walk-ons, the best 20 walk-ons they can get. Are they going to take some of those upper-end walk-ons, put them on scholarship? Because that's what it's going to take to fill out like a viable 85 to 95, and then you take 10 more traditional walk-ons. I don't know how it works in football is going to be very interesting. I think you're going to see some lower levels of football, whether it's Division II, FCS, Group of V, lose out on some players because they can get a Power IV scholarship. But I think there's going to be a big trickle down of, okay, highly athletic walk-on talent that still want to continue to play football, they're not going to have a spot at some of their current schools. You're going to see an exodus of some walk-ons trickle down through the levels of college football, you're going to see guys that maybe historically would get walk-ons at a place like K-State or a place like say North Dakota State. They're going to be available for some of these Division II schools. It's going to change the landscape of college football maybe even more than anything we've seen so far, especially for the trickle down effects. It's going to be very interesting to watch the continued evolution of college football. We will keep moving on again. This is a recruiting heavy episode for me with the blue chips in here and a second we're going to talk about K-State football's latest two commitments. As always, be sure to check out our friends at K-State Online and go Power Cat. They cover recruiting way better than I ever will, but really these are the biggest stories, tangible stories from this past week in college or in K-State sports, so that's why we're talking about them. We're going to talk about the latest two safeties, but before we do, we're going to give a shout to our friends over at Charlie Hustle. Again, we've been talking about this for a week or so now. We have our Blitz month as we get ready for college football season. For them, they have the countdown to kick off over at Charlie Hustle. They're going to start dropping here very soon. Brand new items, not just for K-State, but across the entire college football landscape. Of course, they had their big 12 mascot family portrait. They had that drop on last Friday. If you're listening to this on release day, if you hustle over to charliehustle.com, you might have a shot at it, it was a limited edition drop. I got it as a crew neck sweatshirt, they had crew neck sweatshirt and t-shirt. It is awesome. I thought it was some of the best stuff they put out with their partnership with the big 12th, but I have it on pretty good authority. We should be looking for a new K-State varsity bomber jacket, a brand new hoodie, and then two new t-shirts, one of which is maybe my favorite t-shirt they've put out from K-State since our partnership began. So shout out to charliehustle. Keep an eye on them for their countdown to kick off, charliehustle vintage made fresh. And of course, I'm currently rocking something from the KC baseball collection. They have a great partnership with the royals. They have a charliehustle t-shirt giveaway, the first home game of every homestand all season long. They do some great stuff with their Kansas City football collection as well, sporting Kansas City and the Kansas City current officially licensed gear with them and the iconic KCTs, Kacey Harttees. So again, if you love the Kansas City region, if you live here, they also have some great products for you as well, charliehustle vintage made fresh, shop at charliehustle.com or throughout the Kansas City Metro. All right, last week was another good week in what has been a hot summer for K-State football recruiting. We'll talk more about this with Drew Galloway later this week, but K-State picked up two commitments, both are safeties, both on the razor's edge of four star talent depending on what recruiting service you like to use. And I know the initial reaction was, oh man, we're taking two more safeties. What's going on here? You already have some guys that were slated at safeties, so you're currently sitting at four guys, and I know everyone's like, oh, what's going on here? I'm not worried about it, and there's a couple reasons why. The first is, yes, you're now sitting with four safeties in this class, but you're playing three at a time. The next thing is we've seen Joe Clanderman and Steve Standard kind of jockey over a couple guys. I think that they love to use the safety room as a breeding ground for future outside linebackers for guys who kind of continue to grow and develop more their body closer into being linebackers versus safeties. So I'm not too concerned there and the development that they do out of the safety room, they just continue to produce NFL quality safeties. So again, if there's any spot on the entire roster that I'm never going to freak out about them taking quote unquote too many guys is going to be the safety room again. The two guys they got this past week, Logan Bartley, who is one point away for being a four star on rivals. He's out of Florida. That was a flip from Florida wake forest. He also had a ton of interest from Ole Miss in Minnesota, had an Ole Miss offer. He gave a couple interviews and said Minnesota was going pretty hard after him when he officially decommitted from wake forest, then out of Ohio, only one spot away from being a four star on all for getting a four star on three is Noah King. He's out of Canton, Ohio. I think he's technically listed as an athlete, but he's definitely going to be a safety four case state. And again, if you look at the measurables for these guys, if you look at what they're able to do as athletes, they're running times, what they're able to put on film, you look at what their height and weight is going into their senior year. Again, remember, these guys still have an entire year left in high score, at least a full football season. I'm not sure if either of these guys are going to be early enrollees in coming up in January, but both of these guys are already measuring out where you would want future NFL prospects to be. Again, I've said this and this might be something I'd talk about with Drew later this week, but I think you're currently looking at three future NFL draft picks at safety for this current defense. Again, I don't think any of them are going to be first or second round draft picks, but I do think that you are looking at three future, you know, fourth through seventh round draft picks. I think all three of those guys will get drafted with Jordan Riley with Vijay Payne with Marquis Segal. I think all three of those guys will hear their name called hopefully not all next spring, hopefully get Vijay Payne back for his senior year. But again, I think these are guys that will be able to contribute early. I think they're guys that are going to be able to contribute often. I think by the time they're done at K-State, they're going to be all conference contenders and they're going to be on NFL draft board. So I think these are two very exciting pickups for K-State fans. And look, in the early years of Chris Klyman and the Bill Snyder 2.0 era, these both are guys that might be class headliners. And that is how far we've come when it comes to recruiting. So two guys absolutely worth getting excited for. Another reason why I'm not too worried about taking both of those guys is RJ Collins out of Kansas City who is a four star according to ESPN. So ESPN four star and they also have him as the number five player in the state of Missouri. He has the ability to play safety and cornerback. He is a super athletic guy. He is a state record holder for Missouri 5A, 200 meter dash, crazy athletic. And I think regardless of whether he ends up in the safety room or they move him to cornerback, I think he's someone who's going to take a little bit more time to get on the field ready. I think he is someone who's definitely going to be a red shirt guy, although he might be able to contribute on punt and kick off coverage for four games while keeping that red shirt. I think it's going to be easy to move him down to the corner room. I know some spots have him as a better corner than a safety. So again, I think beyond, hey, we're just great at developing corners. We play three of them. And some of the bigger, excuse me, safety, we're great at developing safeties. I'm not bad at developing corners either, but we're great at developing safeties. You play three of them and then a lot of those guys have the ability, if they really fill out to slide down and play one of those outside linebacker spots. We're also recruiting a lot of guys who can play corner again. That's what we saw with Marquis Siegel. That's what we've seen with Straff Thompson, who came from a junior college and we're playing him at safety. He's someone who also played cornerback. That's something that we saw with Reggie Stubblefield, the sauce boss, who really was used all across the field. They love to take guys who maybe played cornerback at a lower level or in high school and turning them into a safety who can play main coverage as well. So again, it doesn't matter where RJ Collins plays. I think he's going to be a little bit of a project, but that's also why I'm not worried about taking that many safeties. Again, I think that we're in a great spot there in the safety room. Again, another thing that folks talk about, I mentioned it a couple of time, Dominic Mitchell, who's the other safety and he's out of Phoenix, Arizona. Again, if you look at him, he's a highly rated three star. He's a guy who also plays linebacker currently in high school. So again, when you look at these four safeties, you've got RJ Collins, who definitely can profile either at safety or corner. You have Dominic Mitchell, who sees a safety but has experienced playing linebacker. So he might be one of those people who, after his red shirt year, they move down to that outside backer spot. Then you have Noah King and then you have Bartley, two guys who will profile as NFL safeties. Noah King, sorry, and Bartley, Logan Bartley. I think they profile out as NFL type safeties. So I think that when you look at how they've brought those four safeties in, I think they've executed absolutely perfectly. And like I said, we'll get a mini August recruiting update with Drew Galloway during his Blitz Month appearance that should be happening. You guys should be hearing it on Wednesday. All right, we'll wrap up this episode with stuff that I've taken away either from hearing whispers from folks who have been at all the practices so far, taking my observations from all the different video that has been put out from the open practice. And some of the video that I have been able to procure one way or another, and I won't say how. So you know, it is what it is. These are just my takeaways, obviously, we get some media with coaches and players this week. I think if you're listening this on release day, Chris Klimann will have a press conference. I think at one o'clock, and I don't like this. I liked Chris Klimann doing his weekly press conference on Tuesdays, but that has been moved to Monday this year. So we'll have Chris Klimann media. His weekly press conferences will be, I believe, at 2.30 or 1 on Monday. All season long, usually broadcast on ESPN+, K-State Sports Facebook as well. Then it ends up on YouTube after a couple hours, almost every week. So we'll hear more on Monday. I doubt anything breaking news-wise will come out from that. That will cause us to do an episode, but we'll also digest as much of his press conference and any other media availabilities, and I'll give my take next Monday. The first thing is, and it's the most notable thing, I'm not worried about it at all, but DJ Giddens has been wearing the red no contact jersey. I'm not worried about this at all. Again, there have been enough folks who I trust, and even when I asked the questions of folks at K-State, nobody thinks that there's any concern about DJ. He's going to be ready for week one. He's going to be ready to be the workhorse. He was participating in spring. I think they're just being overly cautious, because look, he's going to take plenty of hits. He's going to deliver plenty of hits. He's been in the offense. He knows what's going on. I just think there's no need to be taking any extra hits, especially early on, first week of practice for DJ, but that is noticeable. You see it anytime. I think Kelis had some video out, K-State Online had some video out, Go Para Cat had some video out there. Again, it's easy to notice, because hey, it's one of the only red jerseys out there, so figured I would touch on it. The next thing, and this is stuff that I saw, this is stuff that I've heard. This is stuff that maybe heard some whispers around Manhattan during the summer, but it sounds like Blake Barnett really is having a good start to camp. I'm not predicting him to be quarterback two, I think for away conference games, you're going to see Roberson and Knuth be the guys who travel. I think Blake Barnett will have a lot of time on the scout team, and honestly, if you need any proof of this, it's that him and Dylan Edwards are both wearing the number three. I think there's zero expectation to see him play, but when he missed as much as spring, I think he missed all of spring. He was in a boot from an injury he sustained in his conference championship game, played through it one state for his team. You miss all of spring practice, but it seems to me, based on what I've watched, based on what's some stuff that has trickled out of Manhattan, based on some stuff that's been told to me, he's hitting the ground running. Again, I think that he is the level of athlete that, look, if you're in a situation later in the season and you needed to throw a wrinkle out there and you needed someone to run the old school triple option wishbone, he might be the guy to do it. He broke Christian McCaffrey's touchdown records in Colorado. He's not an Avery Johnson style athlete, but he's probably a second most athletic quarterback on the roster. It's good to hear encouraging things coming out of him, and it's good to see from the limited video I've been able to take a look at that he's having a good start to fall camp. I'm a big Blake Barnett fan. I think he's probably going to be the next starting quarterback after Avery Johnson's two seasons at K state, but a lot of time between now and what, 2026. Again, I mean, this shows probably going to be around in 2026, but so if he's not the next starting quarterback, you guys can't hold me to it because I'll be long gone from the podcasting world and I'll probably have a private Twitter account. But yeah, it's fun to see that sort of thing. I think he's going to be a weapon. I think folks should keep an ear out for any positive Blake Barnett talk. It also seemed like and this was during open practice. So again, the media was able to be around for like 30 minutes for practice number two or number three, and there was a lot of jet motion. There was a lot of motion in general, but this is something that I really like. This is something that I wished Colin Klein would have done a little bit more. I think in the college game, especially jet motion and a lot and just motion in general is great to try to test the eye discipline of your opponent. We talked about it on multiple occasions last year where K state's defense, I would get a little worried for the linebackers and some of the secondary. You're having to test your eye discipline before the play even gets going, especially when you had Austin romaine out there, especially when you had inexperienced linebackers out there with all the injury trouble they had, that really puts a stress on you before the balls even snapped. When you have a guy like Avery Johnson or even in a hypothetical with Blake Barnett, you have a guy who can get up to 22, 23 miles an hour running the ball and you have Dylan Edwards. You have Jay Brown. You have Keegan Johnson. You have these speed surfs that you can line up at wide receiver coming full speed and that's your first read. The linebackers have to be keeping a head on swivel. Sometimes the snap comes and it's a true jet give. Sometimes it's a touch pass. Sometimes it can be turned into a read option, which then could be even almost a triple option. If you have the pitch back rolling with you, there are so many things you can do when you are doing jet motion, jet option, jet sweep, jet pass, a player to a drive. It is going to put stress and a test on linebackers and anyone who's playing in the slot, whether it's a nickel corner, whether it's a safety coming down into the box. That is putting a lot, a lot of pressure on them and I love seeing that rolling. The other things are just more in the total. I think that when you look at this team, and I think it's going to be very obvious when case it's warming up, when you see some of the pictures on social media from practice. If you go to any of the meet and greet events around Manhattan, if you are in the parking lot because the team walks through the parking lot when they arrive, these guys are big. When you're talking about off the bus looks, this team is starting to look like a top 25 type college football team. Case state in the past, they've had teams that look good coming off the bus and they suck. Case state has had some teams where it's like, oh man, you see them warming up, pre-gaming, you're comparing it to the other team, you're like, man, how is Case A have a shot and those teams compete for Arlington or compete to go to the big 12 or to win the big 12 or their top 25 teams. All that types of stuff. We've seen it both ways. But I think if you're talking Snider 2.0 to present, I think this is the best walking off the bus team that we've ever had. And I think that this is the most athletic team that they've ever had. They're going to win a photo shoot and they're going to win a track and field competition versus probably any other team from maybe even the Ron Prince era on. Maybe since the early 2000s, late 90s on, I think this team compares to the best of them, but you don't win football games in a photo shoot and this is football not track and field. So it's going to be about can they translate that size, can they translate that speed, can they translate that strength onto the field. Now I'm encouraged because I think that Chris Klimann and this coaching staff, they do a great job of translating these athletes and getting them ready to play the game of football. I think that's part of the reason why my excitement grows really anytime someone shares with me some different video or some pictures. When they share with me, when different journalists put clips up from practice, when you see what's going on in Manhattan, I feel like I get a little bit more excited every single time because you see that raw athletic ability, you see the type of physically imposing players that they have. I think this can be a really, really fun season. I hope you guys are as excited as I am. Like I said earlier, I believe this afternoon Chris Klimann is going to have media availability. I'm not sure if it'll be broadcast live on Facebook and ESPN+, but I'd imagine by late afternoon, early evening, it'll be on YouTube. A lot of great folks do a good job making sure that that gets out there for public consumption. If you want it, it'll be interesting to hear some of the stuff that Chris Klimann has to say after what I believe will amount to five or six practices, so I'll be excited to hear from him. I think throughout rest of preseason camp, there's one or two press conferences a week. I think some of them are podium. I think you get one podium session a week, and then you get some of the coordinators or position coaches outside of practice, and then you're going to get some players a handful of times over the next couple of weeks, so there's going to be a ton of stuff coming out of availability. I think we're two or three weeks out from the first depth chart being released, so it's going to go by super fast. I can't wait for it again. We got tomorrow, we got Ace Edwards, Wednesday, we got Drew Callaway, Thursday, we got Cole Carmody working on Friday, trying to find what the Friday show is going to be, but we will have four more episodes this week, all of them revolving around, giving ready for football season, because it's almost here, folks. It's awesome. Absolutely love it. So that's all we have for my dog, Chauncey, the best dog in the world. My name is Scott McFarland. We love you guys and go cats.
