Why did I want to talk with Daniel Hearn on the Knockin' Doorz Down podcast? I am your host Jason LaChance, and I spoke with Daniel Hearn because we share a mutual passion for ending the stigma around addiction recovery and those suffering from mental health issues.
Daniel is an active member of the addiction recovery community and a loud voice to end the stigma so that no one thinks they have to suffer in silence. They have found that recognizing the unmanageability of our thoughts and actions is often the first step toward recovery.
The lived experience brought them to this point. Daniel Hearn has himself been walking the road to recovery for several years. To give voice to those silenced by stigma—expected to act appropriately while in the grips of insanity. They are here to help those who are lost as we once were, to grow as we are, and to show the world that the lie is dead. We do recover.
