Knockin‘ Doorz Down

Ryan Cook | Opioid Addiction Recovery, Tools For Self Improvement, Self Awareness, Finding Love and Fishing

Why did I want to talk with Ryan Cook on Knockin' Doorz Down? Ryan is a professional Fishing Guide and is in recovery from Opioid addiction. His passion for fishing helped not only save his life but it has allowed him to give back, help families bond over fishing, and become a mentor to youth as well as those in the special needs community. This is Ryan's second time on the podcast, on this episode he and I get more into what has worked for him in recovery. What did he have to come to terms with in reconciling his past?  We also openly discuss our anxiety and depression as well as the use of prescription medication with the goal of ending the stigma around its use for those who it can benefit.  Soon to be married and continuing to grow as a person, partner, and professional Ryan continues pushing through the hard times with a greater sense of purpose. This is Ryan Cook in his own words on Knockin' Doors Down.
