Why did Knockin' Doorz Down podcast host Jason LaChance want to talk with Jason Carter?

Jason Carter author of the autobiography To Hell I Ride a comedic and often heartwrenching look at a life of self-discovery.  Jason Carter was living what appeared to be a wonderful life from the outside. A remarkable wife, amazing kids, and a large house close to the country club, but he was fighting an internal battle of unresolved trauma and alcoholism. He was living with thoughts of suicide, as he says "a musky sock floating in the soup"; his unchecked drinking. After a session with a psychologist, he set off driving from Texas to Telluride, searching for clarity.

Hypnotized by the open road, he finds himself wheeling through numerous sequences that accelerate his ruin. His book To Hell I Ride is determined, it’s darkly comedic, and it’s his journey into extreme self-awareness. As Jason explores his past, he confronts the inner personal demons haunting him today. Brutally honest, he bares it all; how alcohol crept into his life, the haunting reality that each drink took him farther away from the life he wanted to build, and the truth preventing him from salvation.

This is Jason Carter in his own words, on the Knockin’ Doorz Down podcast.
