Jason and Mikey sat down with Travis Miguel, one of the founding members of the heavy metal band Atreyu. They discussed substance abuse and the availability of substances especially alcohol in the Rock Music scene. As often times events that Atreyu plays at are sponsored by alcohol companies.
As well Travis shares insight into his childhood. He spoke of how music became a huge part of his life and passion, with the support of his family. He also shares how being an introvert may have been part of the reason he began to drink so that he could loosen up in social situations as well as before he went on stage to perform.
Now 7 years sober, his wife also stopped drinking which has greatly improved their already solid bond. Travis also has some hilarious answers at the end of the interview as we ask him random questions.
