Jason and Mikey sat down with the Better Life Guy, Matt Pink on the Knockin' Doorz Down podcast. They discussed why Matt wrote the best-selling book "Better Me, Better You" which not only tells his story of addiction recovery but all works as an interactive guidebook for a better life.
Matt grew up with a great childhood and a close-knit family. However, he would drink and party with friends, but his friends continued to grow into adulthood and start their families. Matt would continue his ways of drinking and drugs. After the death of his son in 2013, his addiction began to consume his life. That's when he really hit the bottle hard, sniffing "Gear" along with anything else he could get his hands on.
After years of drinking, doing random drugs, and couch surfing all around London, Matt Pink had a spiritual awakening that would change his life forever which he shares. He knew what he was doing was wrong, however, one random man that appeared and went off in the night that he met outside the pub, woke Matt up and guided him in the right direction. Had it not been for Matt's friend being with him, he was sure nobody would believe him.
Matt has now been sober for over 3 years, is an accomplished author, meditates, works out daily, and is constantly making progress to achieve his goals. Married, with a family and as he revealed on the podcast he has a baby girl on the way.
