International Bestselling Author Kathrin Hutson has been writing Dark Fantasy and Sci-Fi since 2000. Kathrin had a very challenging upbringing, with her parents divorcing around the age of ten. Kathrin states she doesn’t recall much before the age of 10, at which point she began her interest in writing as a means to escape the confusions of life. Not fitting in, Kathrin started experimenting with various substances that led her down a path towards sexual trauma and full-blown heroin addiction.  As well as a toxic parent who’s gaslighting turned her world upside-down.

We discuss her battle with addiction, recognizing her pattern of toxic relationships, and how her newfound sobriety brought her the loves of her life, her husband and daughter.
