And, you know, I think in life, we all go through different phases where, all right, I'm going to focus on this, and I'm going to focus on this. And I do think life in general is about finding out what matters. And what's the number one thing right here right now? Well, over the past couple months, of course, that's always going to be my faith, my health, and my family, and we'll start with that. But beyond that, when it comes to content creation, when it comes to spending my time, energy, and effort, and being able to have as big of an impact as possible. And the most important thing for me, I believe, is to focus on what we were doing with no filter. And so, a lot of time has been spent, whether it's on the daily hustle podcast, which I'm going to use as well to deal with shrill, it's editing videos, whatever that is, that will just enhance the main focus. And that all said, I don't think there's a single thing that I have done as I was thinking. I think there's very few things that I've done in my life or from the content creation perspective, other than the written email communication with the daily hustle that it has as big an impact. It goes out to go, I don't know, 18,000, 20,000. And over many end up reading it, I don't know, the open rate is actually really good, considering. But I think when I'm out about, if I get to hear from friends and family and just random people and say, "Hey, man, love the daily hustle" yesterday, like, that's, yeah. And so the daily hustle podcast is actually created within that same sort of realm to be able to come on here and do that. The one thing that the daily hustles, as you guys might imagine, is that they take a while. If I'm going to sit down, I'm going to have to sit down. If I'm going to hike up a treadmill and ride the daily hustles, that's typically a good hour plus. I'm just focusing on that. And even though some of them are short, it doesn't matter. But from here on for, I don't know, I'm going to commit to today and tomorrow. Maybe they don't come. Again, this just comes down to priorities. But in my mind, right now, I plan on doing them here on Opera Street. I do. I just, I love doing that. I think they're very clear of Peter from the writing perspective. When I wrote to let them book, the parenting because you got to be sports along with the daily hustle written where I would have spent time writing that, went into that book. And then I wanted to let them obviously have time to go share the book. So it was really stoked and supported to be able to get on the treadmill and knock out a daily hustle. Here it is. Well, yes, it is August 5th 2020 forward. It just happens to be national work like a dog dip created to honor all the people in our great nation that tirelessly plus their ass. Day in and day out with full fucking send effort. Daily also quoted it. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. Yes, I'll get help with translation. Six years ago today, I was in the midst of the Let them play travel across America on the bike portion, writing from Oakland to Chicago averaging well over 100 miles a day, and clearly risking going too far on a daily basis. The challenges enough to be put in road closures rerout roughly 100 flat tire three bikes bills and getting lost on a thermal nuclear plan. Yet, each day, I simply focused on one pedal stroke at a time and putting one foot in front of the other to get us. There are six more trials. We all have limits, but in order to find our limits, it's imperative that we risk going too far, while still being obsessed with what will help take us the next 20. It's then, and only then when we will find out exactly what we are truly capable of. I'm going to see daily hustle. I'm having a flashback on the thermal nuclear plan. The thunderstorms that we hit in Wyoming, where it felt I was writing on the moon. I can't think of all skin off for all the support that I got from him. Obviously, that trip wasn't possible without Tara, but what they had to do, enter on a daily basis. It's just been a strange family as it was for me from the physical perspective. They did it in a coral and Tara did a really good job of getting them out, getting them to the parks, going to the next clinic, but having that support there, it was everything. But we did hit a spot roughly, let's call it, 18 to 30 miles away, and it all depended on how fast that the ride was going to be. Obviously, if we're going up the continental divide, we were going to make the stop a lot shorter than 20 miles. If it was all uphill, yet if it was a real fast flat downhill section, we could set it for 30 miles down the road. We would pick a spot where we would feel up and we'd turn. Some stops were super short, and so the ones that we'd get the band to sit down, those are the ones that were just killers. You can't get the band, man. You just can't do it. So, there you go. It was 2,400 miles, right? Over 2,400 miles on that ride, and many people ask me still this day, like, dude, how did you get through it? It's like 20 miles ahead. That's it. 20 miles ahead. It's sort of like the race of life. If you look at life, it could be incredibly overwhelming. If I'm trying to think about all of the things in my life, I'll give you another example, whether it's a riding, like I mentioned earlier today, whether it's trading the podcast content on the daily hustle on Houston's wild, whether it's being a dad, supporting the kids and their ski and everything that they're doing to the girls and their horseback riding and holding his baseball. And then, yeah, the whole element of coaching business. So, that goes into the play. And, you know, where does that fit in? And then, often I think, I don't say overwhelmed, and health is a top priority for me. So, if that's the case, look, I've got to make sure I'm getting up on most days. It's 5 a.m. to knock out 5, 10 miles before I do come on here and do this, so I don't have to think about, oh, where am I going to get my miles in the rest of the day? And on top of all this, I'm going to sparring for a pickle up player. So, I'm spending, I don't know, 2 or 5 hours a day out on the horse, and I thought it was something I really enjoyed doing. Not to mention the fact that you're trying to maintain relationships in your life that matter. And just like anything else, it's important that we prioritize those relationships. It's going to start with the family. It does. And it's tough because I think in our lives, we go through different phases, and the people that we hang out with is very dependent on the activities in which we're doing. For example, when I played baseball, you know, a lot of people that I hung out with were guys that were baseball players and people in the baseball world. And then when I worked at MLB Network, the people I hung out with were a lot of broadcasters. When I got into the endurance course, there was triathlon or ultra running, I hung out with ultra endurance athletes. That was it. As I get in a pickle ball, I hang out with pickle ballers. And I hang out with people in the same sort of media world, content, and things. Like, those are the people I communicate with on a daily basis. You might as best be fulfilled, whether it's Henry or Joe or whoever else. Like, do all this shit matter. And I think it's important to prioritize it. But I'll give you as an example. Look, I got my friends from college. I got my friends from high school. Look, I love those guys. I would do anything for them. And would certainly be there if they needed me. It becomes more and more difficult, though, to find that time. I was looking at my weekend schedule. I'm not kidding you. All the way through September from here on out. Every single weekend, every single weekend, every single weekend, every single weekend, every single weekend, every single weekend, every single weekend. It's okay. I mean, it's beyond okay. It's good, right? It's great to have an idea of what we're doing and have a plan and everything else, but I think it can be overwhelming. So, how do you get through it? Well, go to the next 20. I don't know. I mean, I'm going to get off this podcast, I'm going to put a football in 28 minutes. So, with that, it's one foot in front of the other. We're going to have a family dinner tonight. Yeah, yeah, but from a daily hustle. For tomorrow, I want to ride another one. So, we're going to do that. But it's literally when you look at it from a grand perspective. At the end of this, I'm just allowing you to figure out what to do with the sport, what to do now to get me through that next 20. And that is the biggest news that we missed this weekend. No one lives wins the 100 feet in a book finish. This was really, really fucking cool. And talking American's pretty start, no allows or rides on the Paris Olympics. And now his intentions of keeping with four gold medals on Sunday. He took the gold medal to men's 100 at your final by 5000 of a second. He came out just barely ahead of Jamaica's key shot Thompson, and the US's tread the photo is awesome. Look at that. That is wild. I'm isn't just like frame by frame by frame. What's amazing is it looks like there's like three of them are like out stretch with the arm in the air. So that's really cool. No back don't bitch. Our dude. He wins the Golden Slam. That's right. Even the characteristic tough no back to talk about help, but shed it here at the end of the men's singles finals. The Serbian tennis legend had won all four grand finals and practically every honor there is in the sport, but the Olympic battle had steeped him. He had tried five times. Granger for the ones who get it done. In his first cold. Simone Biles, holy shoot, is wild what you're doing. Claims metal number three witness. Ted! Fucking Ted! Simone Biles Olympic medal collection is officially redoubled in it. She claims her death holding medal and seventh cold in the vol apparatus final on Saturday and making a demon she experienced at the same event Tokyo three years ago. When the infamous twist is to send it, despite speculation about potential retirement, Biles said after Saturday's competition that she hadn't ruled out Los Angeles in 2028 when she would be 31. Now, I can't speak to gymnastics. And obviously, it's a lot more taxing on the body than baseball is. But I will close to Simone Biles. The best year that I had in my professional baseball career, 31 years old. We'll see you in LA. All right, on Sunday, SUNY Lee held down the floor as the only American in the uneven bars final, earning a bronze and defending her podium finish in Tokyo. Algieria's Kalya Nimmore finished her long-awaited, fulfilled her long-awaited destiny when he rolled a cute quin on a Chinese silver. This is a title the ordinance, right? That means to quote. It says, "I want to tell the entire world that I am female. I want to tell the entire world that I am female. And I will remain female." Kalya said after questions about her sex rose. Lynne to ting a featherweight representing Chinese type A was also history. He is also a guarantee to medal after her quarter four of victory Sunday. International Olympic Committee President Thomas Cloch said earlier that hate speech directed at the two athletes holding an acceptable and stressed. There isn't any doubt there are both women and eligible to compete. Okay. I get what he said and I get what she said. It's fine. I'm good with them being female and there's no hate speech. I know certainly coming from my end. No hate at all. I'm just saying that she is obviously dealing with different characteristics than the average female, which makes it an unfair competition. That's all. So if he's going to compete, that's cool. But there then needs to be a different division that is whatever you want to call, but it's certainly not here. But obviously if she wasn't not to go that route. So it's just a really weird situation. I feel bad if there is hate speech going their way. But you hear things in the accounts of getting hit by the Italian boxer who was talking about like she'd never been pushed like that. It's just it's too much and it brings in a question whether or not it's fucking safe and whether or not it's completely irresponsible from the IOC and allowing these boxers who claim to be female and have I get it like yeah sure. But ultimately you're got to look at the number whether it's testosterone numbers, whether it's the XY chromosome that at least we know the one has. That's that's an issue, a fucking huge issue. All right. Other Olympic highlights. The underdog is an understatement as Christian talked to the American cyclist who didn't even qualify for the Olympics, but it's now going over the gold medal. About Bobby Fink and the U.S. women set gold records on 1500 meter freestyle and four by 100 meter medley on Sunday, T.S. is now taking home. The most rolled medals from the quadrennials. Katie Ledecky. She's already back at the stage. She cannot be stopped. She was not a best winner on her ninth goal in 14th overall medal on Saturday taking the 800 meter freestyle and recruiting her fourth Olympic games in style. What are how much water she'll be in the pool. She's not thrown down at all. Raising in a down for Julian Alfred won the first Olympic medal in any sport for Saint Lucia on Saturday when she took gold women's 100 meter final, which she now can claim she's the fastest women in the world. That's awesome. If you haven't seen it, go check out scenes of Saint Lucia who watched her win this race and it was absolutely fucking bizarre on the street. The crowds are full of crashes at the Paris Olympics outside the event. Not so much business is down to the shots, restaurants and cafes, taxi drivers sit idle at the ranks of some blaming the Olympics who are driving away. The fair is interesting. Very, very interesting. Flooring up, by the way, is getting pounded by Eric and Debbie right now. So hopefully everybody stays the same. And I know there's been a couple of days already going to sat with her son, her and 12-year-old that are treated all in on a motorhome. So just certainly state deals with the understones here the other day, just fucking wild. What a moment for him. We know he's the best golfer in the world that it's not even close. He's been number one. It's amazing what he's doing. And it's also amazing. I believe how unrecognizable that he still is. I mean, you can even talk about the whole arrest incident that took place. So, anyhow, yesterday, he comes back. He was down three shots going into the final round and boss out a course record. I think it was 62 to win the fucking gold medal. I want a moment and what an outfit that Shepherd was wearing. I don't know who was responsible for dressing. And you could pick Oregon Vans them out. Hey, you'll like the Olympic track and field you need to. You're like, whatever. They absolutely fucking drilled the golf belt. I need that golf belt. Scotty Stiffler, certainly making a name for himself around the world. All right. In baseball. Let's hit it real quick and then I'm going to see it. Pickleball court is calling my name. All right. So, you're in judge. The other day was intentionally walked with two outs and nobody on. This is after he hit a 477 foot homer on Friday night. He hit a homer in his first fat on Saturday. He comes up in the second inning on Saturday, the second inning. The Blue Jays are down 4-1 and Blue Jays manager Josh Snyder decided that he was going to intentionally walk Aaron Judge at that moment. Now, it ended up working out, but it brings up the question. Seriously. Ah, it's down 14-1. You're in the second inning. The worst case scenario is that he hits another homer and then you're down 5-1. At least, as a baseball fan with Josh Snyder, I know you are, you get to see one of the great hits in the history of our game. Now, he's going to have to do it for a few days. He's really starting to do it. He is legit. There's no way that I'd rather watch in the batter's block right now than Aaron Judge. So, there's no way, if you're a judge now, you could tell me. I'm sick of watching him swing a bat. And that's what he said. When you're gone, you're fucking lying, man. No way. There's that fanboy in you, dude, that's in all that. When Barry Bonds would come up and even after he'd be destroying baseballs into the bay, I still wouldn't get a little giddy. That's the same way when Aaron Judge even appeared on the other end of it. Even if you competed against it. And don't get me wrong. I was never rooting for Barry Bonds to hit a fucking homerun. No, but when he came up, it was my attention and my focus would amplify 10 points. And there's good reason for that. And one of the things that I wasn't bad at. The other was, I'm going to make a slam. I'm going to make a big slam. You're right, right? And then the other one was like, who had a ball? Who had a ball? He's the only one. The only one I ever stood in the outfield. And worried about him. It didn't blow me up high. So I, the highest player, he didn't want it open one day. I swear to you, I thought it was heavy. And it was a game game, Oakland, left field. The team that was in there for a fucking hour to have eventually came down. Got it like that. That was it. But I do understand. Totally. Walking these players and a lot of situations in a second situation and a tie game later in the game. Second inning, good down three runs. Really? You just open it up. The potential for a corrected number. Where's it? Hey, if I just go after judge, he gets a homer. That's only one. We're down five-one instead of four-one. But the debate will rage on because I still want to sit again. Yesterday, the guys, literally, I don't think we've seen anybody like him since Harry Potter. And, you know, you can make the argument. Whatever else, but I don't think so. I just think right now, what Aaron Judge is doing is so next level. Yesterday, around the league, San Francisco, 8-2, Arizona, 6-5 over Pittsburgh, Miami, 7-0 over Atlanta, New York, 8-4-3 over Toronto. They win again. The Nationals, 4-3 winners over Milwaukee. The Baltimore Orioles stay hot, 9-5 winners over Cleveland. And Jackson Holiday, another homerun, he's now cementing himself as a big leader. So, let me see. It was tough to work the first goal. I think you're a baseball fan at your root form. And I fully struggled, struck out how it happened to pass. But back down to Triple A, made all the necessary adjustments and has come back up. He's been actually slaughtering at about three meetings now with a couple homers, seven RBIs, since getting called up last week. Kansas City, 3-2 over Detroit, Kansas City, 63-50. Now, Tampa won nothing. You know they'd always find their fucking way to get to it. But, over Houston, they're 57-54. The same record now as the Astros. This is a legendary. The Chicago White Sox have now lost their 20th straight game against the Minnesota twice. The irony was that the twins were asking the team that broke our 20th win streak. And then they're also the team to continue the White Sox 20-game losing streak. Things on the south side cannot get much worse. But at this point, you're a baseball fan. Are we rooting for this streak to continue? Or are we going to be super stoked when we see them break it? Good. I don't know. I think 20 is up. Fuck it. You know what? White Sox, I'm with you. Let's get a win. Let's figure it out. We will get a win. Who do they play tonight? Oh, shit. That opened. I got to go to the game. The White Sox, 27-87. They're chasing the worst record in the history of the history of the history of the history of the history of the history. So, think about this. The Oakland A's who had zero expectations. And everybody expected them to have the worst record in all the major league baseball. Our 46 and 67. So, they're basically 19 games above and ahead of the Chicago White Sox. That's how dogs shit the White Sox are there. And it's just sort of, like, I knew there would be bad. I did not think there could be a match. Really had no clue. A couple of the other games that met, they lost the Angels. You know, I'm brought in Washington, Angels, 49 and 63, then the A's in the back. Oakland went down to the Dodgers 3-2. That was in Oakland. San Diego playing in baseball 61 and 52 count, 41 and 72. It was, I said, you know, 10-2. The Phillies get a win, 6-0. Over Seattle after getting blown out the night before in the Chicago Cubs 6-2 over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cubs were creeping back toward 500. Don't count them out. All right. Let's see here. That's about it. Nothing else for now. Back over to the hustle, Jim Morrow, and everyone have a fantastic... Shit! [MUSIC]
