As Far as Bentching Goes, How Do We Handle It If One Has to Bentch Outside (e.g., Park, Yard)?
Welcome everybody, it's your number 865 getting back to our Hilchys Barrochos. Okay so we spoke about a few years ago reference to a fenced off backyard. So we said it was a Makhlakis in reference to Shinoi Makhaim and Lamysef somebody went outside in other words to have a backyard and have a fence around it. So I went outside, do I need to make a new Barrocha by Shahakul or Adama or Her Eights, right? So we said Lamysef one should not because it's a Makhlakis and many major posts can say that it's the fact that the backyard is fenced off so that would be fine. It's always best when you come back inside to either not to do it or when you come back inside to make a Barrocha and something else just to cover because of the fact that it is a Makhlakis. Okay but be it as a may where I just that's not what I want to talk about today we spoke about that a few a year ago. Now the question is like this what about in reference to benching? Interesting. I saw brought down the safe Shinoi Makhlakis quoting from the Mishabura and the Shauitzian but he brings it down very very nice how he brings it down. The question is by benching, right? By benching as we know the Halakh as well, let's just review which we did a long time ago. Somebody eats bread, you have a meal or whatever, not shop is in general. I eat a meal I'd have to bench in my place. Halakh as you have to bench in your place. So the question was what about if it's in one room, right? You go from room to room we spoke about that that's a little bit problematic but if as long as you're in one room it's considered your place. You don't have to sit in the exact seat that you were sitting in when you made the hamwaitsi, right? As long as you're in one room with the evidence or sure the Mishabura says that that would be fine and I would still be considered benching in your place the place where you ate. When we say ate we're talking about where you ate the bread. You ate the hala bread mat or whatever it might be. Okay so just to hazard over a few interesting points which we have to keep in mind constantly because it's something that comes up constantly. We're always worth a chem eating a meal and benching, right? So Lamisa, this does not apply so much if somebody ate in a different location. Like if you ate, if you ate bread in a different location then those are different halachids. We said in general just real quickly to hazard over again while we're on the subject. When you wash you have the mind, let's say I have to go to a shame for Brakh, I have to go to Sholish. I'm finishing my meal at a friend's house so if you wash in your house you could have the mind that I'm going to eat by my friend's house. I'm going to eat start the meal by my house and finish off, I'll finish off with shame for Brakh, I'll finish off by my friend or whatever the case is and that would also be fine as long as you have it in mind. Look how clear of the shore. As long as you have it in mind when you wash and you make a moi to eat at least a gazais in your house and then you could go and then you eat part of the meal or whatever you're going to eat over there then you go wherever you have to go and finish the meal over there. Now when you get to the other places it's important to keep in mind that you have to eat bread. The fact that you're going to eat you know cookies, cake, whatever that's not going to help. You have to eat bread. But even if you did not eat it gazais, a bread in the second location it is still good. As long as of course you ate a gazais of bread in your house, you establish that location and you ate a gazais of bread under a four-minute period or you washed actually it's supposed to be a cabe of bread which is too gazais but then you're good to go. But again going as far as other location you have to make sure that you eat some sort of bread hala matzah. Again cake and cookies or anything else fruits or whatever the case might be will not help in the other location. If one wants to actually mention the other location because otherwise the sepshine aloha springs down again quoting mr. Burish I would see and so on and then Birolach and then the Mahabir Amr so when he brings down that one would have to go back to the place. If you can eat fruits in the other place you'd have to go back to your original place. Khattrila for sure and bench because that's that's aloha you have to you have to bench in the place that you finished eating the bread. That's how he brings it down. Just to quote the Shana Aloha's in Ois Gimmel again quoting mr. Burun and so on and everything else but he says like if you eat less than a kazis, then you would have to bench in the place where you finished. The place where you finished eating the meal meaning the bread. Okay so just getting back to us a subject that I'm gonna get off on a tangent just because we're over a few quick details here and there which are always very important. So he says right as long as you're in a place that is mukaf mikites, surrounded by mikites, right? Let's say you're in the house so you're in a big room or in a hall, a wedding hall, a big hall, whatever. So if you bench in a different part of the room it's all one room it's still good. Okay so now the question is what about, so that again we spoke about but what about outside? I'm outside. How do I calculate myself outside? Let's say I'm meeting on a picnic table, right? I'm out in the park now the warmer days I'm out in the park and I'm meeting you by on a picnic table in the park and what do I do now? What do I, could I move around? And now I want to bench. I'm done. I wash they ain't. Everything is wonderful. I want to know bench. Do I have to sit exactly in the same seat? Could I move around? Could I go to a place where I could see the location at work? How does that have a lot of work? As far as going moving around outside whereby a person has to bench in the place that they ate the bread when they finish the bread. So first of all he says if let's say you're in an area, I mean it's hard to say how big but Lamyse he says in his dollar they're just reading the legend from the Charnalachism. Oh, how the mochi mochi says you're eating in a place. Let's say you're in a smaller park assuming that and it's surrounded by mochi's. It's not so big. There's only a small amount of tables there, whatever the case is. But the mysia mochi has walls around and so on. In mochi mochi mochi mochi mochi is nakshav kule lim kaim, lim kaim mochi lass. The whole area that's surrounded by mochi's. That's surrounded by walls would still have nakshav kule lim kaim mochi lass. That would still have a din of of a place whereby that whole area is one area, one place. If need be, somebody has to move around. I feel the work, before Markham Shiroi said, I feel the vice, I've got it. But I've got the meaning, like we said before, one big room and so on. I feel, (speaking in foreign language) Even if you don't see the original place, like we saw in the Mishabura, we spoke about this time, let's say again in the hall and the place that you ate. Again, it's always best to bench on the place, the table, whatever the place that you ate. What we're talking about, the person had to move, whatever the reason was, they had to bench in a different area. So as long as it's in the place that's surrounded by (speaking in foreign language) so you are still good. And even if something is sort of blocking your vision, that's the advice of what he says. Okay, so that's the story. Again, if you have walls around, fences, whatever, so then it's fine. That's right, even in the backyard. Somebody has a big backyard, right? If only you're all fenced in and have to bench, so you can move, if need be, the person can move around from whatever, from table to table, it's all one. But the question is, when you don't have a fence, oh, so that's what he brings up. (speaking in foreign language) If there's no fencing, not a room, obviously a room always has walls, but then I'm in the backyard or whatever. I'm in the park, right? I go to the park or whatever the case might be. I'm in a courtyard, but there's no michis, there's no fencing in. It's all open, so then it's much stricter, then you have to be careful. Now I have to bench. I ate a meal by the picnic table, right? (speaking in foreign language) In the place, you would have to eat, you would have to bench. Again, (speaking in foreign language) You would have to bench (speaking in foreign language) in the place where you ate. (speaking in foreign language) In other words, it's the same place. (speaking in foreign language) Let's say for whatever reason, I do have to move a little bit, there's maybe not a good smell, or whatever the case might be in that area. (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) So that's what he brings down again, does this (speaking in foreign language) from the Misha Bruin-Shar it's in, that if you do have to move, right? So you would have to move within, again, all (speaking in foreign language) what's the right thing to do within for (speaking in foreign language) within (speaking in foreign language) whatever the, not getting into the calculations, how much that is. But be it as a maid within (speaking in foreign language) within for (speaking in foreign language) of your way you ate in general, we say that the person's arboromisty, for (speaking in foreign language) the person in general is his area, his place, right? So if you ate in a certain place, and the person has to move around a little, so then you would have up to for (speaking in foreign language) to move around from side to side, if there are no (speaking in foreign language) if there's no fencing in the area where you ate, if it is fenced in, so then you can move around within the fence roughly. So just being careful not to go outside of the fence, when you could bench, if need be, if whatever reason a person would have to move, was somewhere within the fence, even though you have to move possibly from table to table in a park or whatever the case might be. Thank you for listening, (speaking in foreign language)
