[MUSIC PLAYING] NBC News Radio. I'm Lisa Carton. The National Hurricane Centers, as Tropical Storm Debbie, is expected to strengthen rapidly before making landfall in the Florida panhandle. Governor Ron DeSantis says the storm could have a bigger impact on the capital city than Hurricane Idalia did last year. There's going to be a lot of trees that are going to fall down. You're going to have debris. You are going to have power interruption. So just prepare for that. DeSantis says he's activated the Florida National Guard with a dozen swift water rescue teams on hand. Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris will be interviewing three candidates today to be her running mate. The vice president is scheduled to meet with Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona and governors Tim Walz of Minnesota and Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania. Team USA is dominating the medal count at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The US entered today with 61 total medals. Lisa Carton, NBC News Radio.
