Good morning folks, and welcome to the young viewers, more on the news for Monday the 5th of August, 2024. My name's Colin, and I hope you're all well joined today. Fresh off the back of the live stream last night, it's Jack, how you doing mate? I'm really good, what about yourself? I'm good, other than the fact, it's Monday's back, typical weekend, and we had the two days of sunshine and I'm wanting them all one day, and it's like the end of days out there, man, it's horrible. I, when I took the binsuit there, for a cute one, it was nice, I should have done that last night when it was nail at that. It's the biggest lie any adult tells themself into out there in the morning, where the steamy binsuit, getting petrol, it'll be easier to get to in the morning, it never locks out that way. Hi my hulking eggs, just a little door, I'll get in, as per this, but I don't know bins. So obviously, last night, if you have no watch the live stream last night, I met with an interesting show, obviously, I might say a tiny new show on the border and to the last night as well, obviously a tiny idea, the point across all the frustrations, the jump points, but they couldn't take all of it, being the first game in the season, so we went through quite a lot last night, but this morning, we'll pick up and I'll try to turn points with the liquid, get to the first of all, Oscar Cortez, so just run through his demands as comments on that, after the game for we've come on and said, I cannot say for the moment, he fell down in a jail and the bad way at the end of the first half, he hurt his knee and he was tested by the doctor who said he was fighting for the same half, but we first barely felt too much pain, so we had to take him off, it's no idea at the moment, because you're always an important player on the same half, which was huge in this period when you are less fresh at the end of the game, but it's experience of a young player also known your body and what is pain, what you can do, you cannot do, that's the part of the journey young players to get better assessment around that, so Jack, it's hard to say how serious and how worried we should be on this, I don't know if we've come on so well, but annoyed there that Cortez has said he's finally come in the same half and he's done himself in the first five to ten minutes Well, as a thought-clayman with him he's strong enough to manage at the tail, you've come in half, I'm surprised, nobody watching that or anything just fanned the game with a seat him good doing, no even just thought he's going to come back on, but then he ain't keys no coming off at some point, I think maybe a bit stronger management effort when I'm on it, sorry, I'm saying he'd tell me he's alright, you can see that, you'll see how he's no, and first time he makes around the second half he's done, and that's it, he's been in the same half, he's been in the same half, he's done and that's it. If we don't get a, we just want a doctor and a change room or a physio or something to have a look and say, "No, you're no worry." That is a failure on us that one. Okay, they much a bit of work in the job, but we could have prevented them, we could have for a second half. That's a point he did with Angel's coaching side or not. I mean, I've always got a one, I always know any of his friends anymore, but Naysmith Aberdeen, you could tell he was injured and he came back home. So we've done this before, it's not in you. We have done this before throwing somebody back home. It's probably been a very recent one. We're just going after type of hits. At the end we came out of the fundamental bill, where we're working back and it will build on fine and fine. Half time and it went out and I don't know if it was his knee or something as well, but it's a hard one, I think. And on one hand, you need to go away with the player's tells you these players are adults, right? They're ultimately no, and themselves after all, you know, after right being able, they are no. So man, just they need to take out of consideration, but to your point, this is a player who's no one back for a long term, Angel. It's the first game of the season, isn't it? I think, given the costs, it's around rangers, around injuries, I would all like to come on to be a bit cautious, but at the same time, it's probably going to his bench and who do we have here? But I don't know, maybe I was saying that, I mean, the bench is a very, very fair point because there's no other owner. And even like for like, obviously, Mattondo is a better one, but when Mattondo is no real equal, he impacted the game, it doesn't really impact that much anyway, but he's no impact without laying for a time left. And there wasn't any of them doing, it could change the shape, too, when they're trusty, they're living on the park, they have changed the shape in the game like that, unfortunately. I think you're saying a bit, I think it would have been rough, but then again, because it would have been rough, I said, "Oh, my knee feels all right in the next thing, it's his left shoulder, it's wet." So, it's not a bad riff, you never know it was going to happen. I mean, fair point, fair point, it was so all right. On Cortes himself, what was your thoughts on with any real touch on him last night? I don't think he was excellent, I don't think he was excellent, I don't think he was excellent, I think Barlin was probably the closest to that, but I thought Cortes looked quite bright. He was up against quite a solid heart straight back in Taylor. Hi, he was up against a very energetic boy at Taylor, I mean, I've seen some eggs with Rangers fans saying sign up, but I thought it did look very energetic. But I mean, I don't know if I'd be saying them, based on a game against Rangers at the moment, because then you'd be saying in the fall union, Barlin team, in the Birmingham City team, if you're going on that and based on going forward. But Cortes did look to me like Sunday who's came back for an injury, I think it looked like when I see him in preseason as well. This is also an offset back, which isn't a good for us. Okay, I never really played bad, but it was never a real effect in a game either. But in saying that, he was up against a guy and he was working a battle each other out. And they were not, they were not getting each other out and they were just going for it. But what comes on instead, Cortes has neglected either, probably not in a park, which, but if Cortes is going to be an injury, we're going to be able to get him proven as well. I know that that was going to be asking, but Cortes is about the injury because I'm seeing, obviously, there's a lot of criticism flying about him, for all, and to our online and general for anything Rangers. A lot of it's fair, a lot of it is fair, but some of it, you're kind of like, oh, I'm annoyed at the injury, so I'm just writing more about the color blue. One of them is that Cortes, we've seen Cortes on an obligation they buy when it was injured last year, and this is what we get. I don't know if that's to fail. I don't think any has had this criticism up until this first game. I think everybody said that he wasn't an injury pro and player. He was just up where he managed to get an injury and that there are two very different things. He's knowing that Ryan Jack came a roof-haloander mode, but if he was to come back in six weeks and breaks then again, people would just start seeing it that way. And I'm going to be fair, we've been in just support, even the most cynical, we've been in just support on that one. We're fizzing our fingers on the injury pro and players, so anything just spreading, it's me having one injury. If anyone is going to get presented, unfortunately, and a bit of scar tissue a bit, I think it's fair. I think we need to be more careful than other clubs, just wait. I don't know if it's something in the water or in the oven who knows man, but we do need to. I don't think it's the right time to say he's injury pro and yeah, my high-men a-way and see what he's saying is, I don't think, I mean, purely these podcasts are recorded. When we announce their call test, I didn't say any of this, I've been overseeing an injury pro and player. I was happy with it, so I kind of will go back on up. The next point I like on me, the corner bar in penalty, obviously, this is more than yours, and we are preempting that most of the headlines will be around, we should do angels of being given up anyway against them. I'm kind of torn to this one, Jack. I think it's an extremely harsh decision if they give up anyway, but I think if the rules of the game are thinking his hand away from his body and with the dirty face and growing last year, I find this is given every time last year, even though I don't like the rule. I don't know, I don't really call him, came in further, we can say that there's going to be more than you can say to the hand both, but what was your thoughts on this one? I think it's one of the ones if we cross, if tabbing across that board and the hearts defend others, you want a penalty and hearts want a penalty, greatly at least so I don't think it's, I don't think it would be a stone waller, but I've seen them given plenty of times. What I would say is, but we have been quite unlucky, I know there's always a narrative in the world football, but we've actually been quite unlucky, the last few painters, even including that friendly rough giving away. I'd say the Winston one had come on up, and the dear man, the one against Celtic, and that friendly where I've been commenting of us, and the Winston hand both come on up where I don't know what he's made, but that was less than the bad in one of those three so maybe we'll do one. That doesn't do the hearts, any favours, I get that, and they'd be quite late to go if I'm not. But if any just point of view, I think the last time we get a penalty, it probably was. A penalty has been the Golden's one against Celtic, which was unfortunate for us to lose, but his hand was out, and it's a penalty. So I'd say the last four penalties we have given away before that, three have been very unlucky, so maybe, maybe just even to say a look for us in that one there, but that will no certain narrative for the dangerous penalty. Rick, there's one? No, I know. Already, when you were to the headlines yesterday, the sudden the narrative of everybody's own way, this is one of the lovely stories. I don't think I'd run on a stretch for the Golden. This one is sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't. But it was interesting that he had been calling a bad in after the game, saying it was like, I closed your legs, wasn't expecting that at all. But even Steve Nesmith, who there was no love for on this point, says he has was where, if you play the game, there isn't much you can do, so it's not a penalty. I think when the opposition manager was no shown for it, I think I came to associate this year on his phone. He might not be a friend of a pod, but I think Steve Nesmith probably knows me a bit plain fit, but it means people in the country was a good player. And he summed it with actually a claim for it, and then it was the, he was no shy, and if he's worse than that, then I'd probably take his view of it when the experts at the record, in a sense, to be honest, and no doubt clamored your hearing line from certain other supports. The types of experts, one day, and then the iFAB was a expert on the next day. I couldn't avoid that. All over it as we speak. My brother-in-law was actually called Declan, and he hates her jokes. Every temple, himself did fun. He was called Declan, but it doesn't stop us saying that. That's probably the only big point for the game that we didn't touch on last night. I heard this weekend, so we know that there'll be a play strong since we're running ahead to the game tomorrow. In terms of signing back over the weekend, the Wesleyan and the new Rimmels of Outgoans and Cummins and probably the closest where I can see the actual news on Rimmel is Albion-Rimani, who's back in the remaining newspeople saying that the angels are there. They say it's putting a bit, and I found whether Gronens are going to negotiate, sell or close, and make it out of just fee. I don't think anything's going to happen. I think the next thing will be a big name saying it, or a key saying it goes through and in the first 11, but I don't think it happens until the angels move something or maybe can't wear or hug you or any other name. With big wages. I, but the problem is, it's so apparent that we'd something can put the ball in the net, or at least attack a ball in the box. I'd always spoke at it, probably talked to it there for us tonight, but it's not even, I mean, sometimes I'll get a game going now or maybe I'm lucky, but it was so many times nobody's going for it. But you actually missed a heater totally with a foul goal in front of him. We desperately need players, no even a player, players that can make a difference when a ball goes into the box. I'm sure it was about setting steady going to game the other day and taverniers get a ball. And you must know he's got a good cross to him, it is one guy in the box. That was shocking, owners, the people can have their thoughts and tell me where they want, but he can name the, even he's wanting to go against the mimics, can not deny he can cross a ball into the box. And no midfielders, even at that point, you think I said on half a goal, I'm going to sell in that box. I've seen the angels sent in half for years and they're like those go to go, but go into the box at that point in the game. Experience it in half so we can win a heater, not a threat. And the attacking sense, where you really desperately, if for no one use can't, where no go use had you, he desperately need to get attacked and players at the best team. And if maybe for helping the man, he's the quickest one to day in. I don't know what he's saying he's got to be a bit of a move of goal, but he is, would you say, at the moment, he won't say to sell, he's got to be fitted into Nilo. He's got to be more a threat than Desos, and we don't even know where their money is, and that's all for these strikers. Well, I should point out that I finally have been remaining missed again for injury here the weekend, so that means that that's all. Perfect, perfect dream just player. Get him into the woman, but yeah, yeah, there he is. It's a horrible situation, but in where the cycles, then Nilo will put in all this faith in him. That once he gets back back for a fit, he's probably going to be the main man, but I really like the Nilo. I think he will potentially be the main striker, but I need to caveat that with, we've only seen him in a handful of games. He's still a relative unknown, but he needs me to feel. Desos, with all his limitations, is so frustrating. Some of the positions he can get himself in, some of them are really good, but their name has just been Desos. There's one thing right in two things wrong, he's never got a change in weight. We can't even hang our heart and being our main striker this year. As you say, Igamani, as a body, and I don't know who made the decision, he's seen him. I'm sure he's a talented player, but surely we should have known his fitness level, his fitness capabilities, before we send them in, and planned for that. It's mental that he's not even in and around the short dinner. We always touched on it last night about project players, and I think Igamani as much as we've paid money in that, he is someday it's no going to be absolutely ready to probably impact here, unfortunately. But why are we doing that? It could be a good player, but nobody will find out. A problem is new because, as you say, with Desos, I mean, to a chance, he's a great 3-cell. It's fantastic play, fantastic touches. And then the finishes are awful for a Nigerian international, who's your top scorer, I'm expecting. One over two other ones in the first half. I've noted two of them with scores, and then Joe's going to happen with Danilo, and I've seen this rain just thing before, unfortunately. See if we'll know, fine, and also on those up front, and he comes back into the team, and he's know he's just going to get cold. And top of engine, if we're going to get cold, no good enough, blah, blah. It does negate it, and that's no good for him. Danilo's going to come back into the team, but he has to push for that jersey. You'll probably find that he'd get minutes even normally getting his fitness, because they're so proud of that, into the park. No, I get, we need, we do need another striker. And I think personally, if we were to move on there, so for example, bring in a more low industry kill for him in Danilo, he'd battle out. I'd be happy without making money, eventually it's a full choice. But this is, I've started to, I've started to make it to the weekend. And just the worst point on the strikers, and again, I've seen the comments here last night, and I know some of the questions I've called me happy for already. This isn't a happy for happen, but I don't find, I don't think we need a first team player sticking in, for example. It's amazing how often we've seen a world football. One key sign in coming in and improving the players around them. So I might be crouching here, Jack, but if Robin proper comes in, and he can improve their players around them. You don't want us to have a new sort of, that's worth two signs in itself. If a midfielder can come in and improve the amount in bad and give names in consistency, that's worth two signs in themself. We, I think one may be three or four key sign-ins away. I don't think it's a first team players that we're looking for. No, I think, I think it's four signs in itself. This is what I was talking about Sunday at the last day. I think up front, see as much as he adds one, we need two, we need two. We also need a striker, and I would say Seema's this guy who can play it right and attack your back post, or the front post. If other weight's coming in, he can drop a bit. And he did it on one nine. And I'd be happy if it weren't, we were getting by Seema in my off-skate. And that would instantly improve your front line. You'd look, it would look so much better if we'd done that. And I get your same pro, but if he is just a fit up, that there's no goals in it. We're going to watch that and prove the players are in a boot home, because he's a leader, and we desperately done that. A four guys I had actually written down, would be my deal sign-ins, would be Scott McKenna, Oliver Norwood, a bit less chef who donated. He's a free agent in Northern Ireland player. No, I'm no saying he's a world beat artist or that, but he's a cam. Number six, who would be an experienced player for us, and my two up front would be Seema in my off-skate. If we brought a four in, that's obviously a big ask, but it would change your whole complex, a lot of our players and how people feel about the team going forward. It takes a bit of quality. It changes your state, their performance order and other players, because they were probably looking at players at your own minds to be one and only does a new team, and that's no fair either. And we're looking at that, we're bad in the Amanda. You can see that the way we're lined up already as well. Another four bit over Norwood. That's a good chance, an interesting show. But, you know, the players that you've mentioned, they're like, they do come in and normally add options in the position, but I do think players would get the best of themselves by playing next to them. We've seen it with Steve Davis when he came back, when he came back, not only did he come in and just add a back class, and then midfield at the same time around. Guys like Lincoln, I became more composed. Ryan Jack played his game better because he had something like Davis next to him. It's, you know, it happens. It's not, it's not a sign. So, something like all over Norwood could absolutely be that guy. Davis was a recent example of it because when you came in right away, you've seen that after you were done, you have to be up and down the park. You can stick to his position because there was some day we had brain in there. It helped the rebound, a team having up there at Davis. Kim Aaron Jack just went up a level when they were already at a decent level at Rangers. Across the city, you look at Aaron Moydon. That job last year, I think these signings are always welcome to say, and see how they say Moy when they were playing good. We, when we say Davis of where we were really winning it, and we're winning a very track, we'll know the right track. So, see if he brought a Norwood and it was fit. He would instantly, would improve his and make his look better, and would be good, and then I'd feel free young players over there. So, there you have it, Rangers. We've done the digging for you, so we just need to get some players out of the way and then get these boys in. But Jack can't care. That'll do us for the day. Imagine tomorrow's news will be fairly busy with more reaction for the weekend, and obviously it's a very strong offense as well. But also a pleasure to speak to you, mate. Thanks very much for coming on. Oh, thanks again. I think I've seen you last night this morning. I've no seen Moydon. She's been up this day. She's done great. So... She'll be good, Jealous. Jealous? Or she'll be probably quite happy with it, to be honest. Well, always a pleasure, mate, and thank you to everybody listening, as always. There's no way of thinking in the comments. Are we on the bottom way, what we think? Or are we wide off the mark? That's not either way. And find the way to your subscribe, wherever you get your podcasts. Until tomorrow morning, folks, have a crack and Monday. Take care. [MUSIC]
