[Intense Music] Hey, I'm Spooky Crease. Welcome to episode one of Dreadful Delights. Hey, what's up? So, I don't know if you have anything off the bat that you want to talk about? Not that I can think of now, not yet. Well, I have a list of stuff to talk about, so I'm going to kick the list off with the movie and end it with the movie. So, the first movie I want to talk about is called In A Violent Nature, which actually just came out. I'm not sure if it's on shaming yet, but it is in theaters. So, I don't know if you've seen the trailer for it. I have not. All right, so it came out May 31st, which was a Friday, which is kind of funny, because if you flip like the 31 around is Friday 13th, and from watching the trailer for this movie, it gives like heavy Friday 13th vibes, but not in a cheap, copied way, if that makes sense? In a violent nature. Okay, continue. I'm sorry. Oh, no, you're fine. So, it gives like heavy Friday 13th vibes, but not in like a copied pace, but like in a inspired way. Okay, I'm going to watch the trailer, you keep growing. Which feels really nice and has me super excited. So, they kind of tease a couple of kills in it, and the kills look so good. They look like they're going to be super violent and just entertaining as hell. So, I'm super excited to go see this movie. It earned 400,000 in one night. That's not bad. The killer actually kind of looks like Jason when he's a man. All right, it gives such heavy Friday 13th vibes, but not in a bad way. I want people to think it's like, oh, it's a straight rip off. It feels like this could be a really good like Friday 13th movie. Like in the, what's the word I'm looking for? This word there, I just can't think of it. Right. It's killing me. I don't know. I don't know what words you're looking for. Me neither. It's lost. It's gone. It's gone with the wind. But anyway, it looks like it would be a good Friday 13th movie. Even like a fan made file one, it looks good. But so, yeah, it came out like the pre-showing night, which was Thursday. So, May 30th, it made $410,000, which is insane. That's not bad at all. It has a runtime of an hour and 34 minutes. So, it's not overly long. Now, it actually looks pretty good, but like it would be on shutter. I think it probably is. I know I need to get one too. Maybe this week, I'm not sure I got to check my bills. But if I can, I will let you use the login. Oh, you don't have to do that, but thank you. Oh, it's no problem. So, it got 85 on Rotten Tomatoes. You know, for it to be 85th, that's not bad considering it was wrong. It was real. Let's see. Here's a little synopsis. When a group of teens take a locket from a collapsed fire tower in the woods, the unwittingly, oh, they, sorry, they unwittingly resurrect the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit, spurred on by a horrific 60-year-old crime. The undead killer soon embarks on a bloody rampage to retrieve the soul and locket. That sounds really good. I want to say, too. Nobody likes scary movies, though, around here. A couple of ratings right here. A very slow burn, but fun time at the movies directed by Chris Nash. I'm not sure. Well, he's done and produced by Shannon Hammer and Peter Kibolowski. I think it's the same. I have no idea who that is. I mean, either. Chris Nash has something in ABCs of Death 2, Psycho Gorman, Biocop. All movies I have not seen. See, I'm watching a trailer right now for no evil. And it's made by Blum House, and it actually looks good. Blum House makes really good. Well, they're the ones that make conjuring. Oh, are they? Oh, yes, it's a conjuring. Oh, my God, they made. Oh, my God. Speaking of which, does that name have a black phone clue coming out? I think so. I have not seen the first one, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. It's so good. It's so good. Very good movie. Tyler, you're coming in. So the director, Chris Nash, was in another horror movie that I absolutely love. I know I've talked about it before. It was another low budget movie, but had great practical effects called The Void. It came out in 2020. I absolutely love that movie. It is so good. But he played a character in that movie. Okay, yes, I haven't seen that one. So much could be watched, Chris. Oh, God, yes, you need to. So good. See, I'm actually very excited for this movie. It looks good. I don't know, it feels fresh in a way, if that makes sense. Like the last like Friday 13th, maybe that came out, had Jared Palaki from Supernatural in it, aka Sam, and it wasn't that good. I know you're good. You're fine. It wasn't that good of a movie. The only reason I've really watched it is because of Jared Palaki. I only watched it because, you know, it's Friday 13th, but like... Yeah, oh, but let me come go off the rails real quick. Have you seen what they're going to bring back? I think it's Plum House or it's A24. I'm not sure which one, but what movie franchise? I have not. My bloody Valentine. Oh my God, I've been seeing that everywhere. I should have got the posters. The posters are fucking awesome of it. You have a really good poster. There, our old movie theater got bought out after like 15 or plus years, and they had posters from like the 60s up until it closed down in 2012, and they, I managed to go in there a day before they like opened up to the public, and they had so many of my bloody Valentine posters, and I didn't grab them until I hadn't seen the movie. What's wrong with you, Squatch? I want to come over there and just fucking shake you. I did have a Freddie versus Jason, which is my favorite. Oh, so dope. And like five saws in the sinister... Yo, yo, I have a little fun fact about Freddie versus Jason. Wait on me. Do you know who was a stunt man for Freddie? Uh-uh. A wrestler by the name of Ray Mysterio. I did not know that. Neither did I. I came across a video of it like maybe four months ago, and it's like, holy fucking shit. Ray Mysterio was in Freddie versus Jason as Freddie. I freaked out. He's still wrestling. He's like 15 still wrestling. He's a lucha libre, saw a wrestler. So he has some mask and shit. He's fucking cool shit. That's wild. Um, is what's even wilder is. I hate to see him without his mask. It just feels weird to me because I'm so used to him having his mask on all the time. But yeah, so I can only imagine all the posters they had there. Oh, they had from like old movies that I was before my time. They had like Disney, Pixar, they had. I bet you they probably had like Star Wars probably. They did. They had one that I know of. Everybody was fighting over and defined at first. It was episode. It was a revenge of the Sith. That's one. That's so three. Oh my god. You know what one I would absolutely love to get. It was just two, and they're both old movies. So the oldest one would be The Warriors from like 1974, I want to say it was. Great movie. Such a good movie. It's actually, Christina actually likes it. I got her to watch it one night and even though it's old, it still holds up pretty well. It might be one or two things that are a little eh. Is it like every movie or? No, so it's a gang movie. A gang movie. Oh, okay. So the premise is like just one main gang who has a lot of power pretty much calls like the heads of each gang in New York to like this giant meeting to try and unify all the gangs. And then he ends up getting assassinated at the meeting and they blame on this one gang called The Warriors and they had to travel from where like the meeting was all the way back to Coney Island, which took them like all fucking night and it had to go through like a bunch of different territories to get back home. Just watching it. Yeah, I think we're being on gang movies, but I've watched a couple that were decent. So I have to give that one a watch. Yeah. And the other one would be, I want to say it's 1981 John Carpenter's The Fame. I would love to have that poster. All right, what was it called? Six spooky ghost documentaries to give you night mirrors. Yeah. So I thought, hey, that's a pretty short list, but it's a little longer than five. So let's bang that one out. That takes notes on it. So coming in at number six is the Enfield Poltergeist from 2020. Yeah, 2023, it's on Apple TV. I want to say the Enfield Poltergeist was what country to was based on off of. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. So it is about that. I feel like it goes probably more in depth on the story and stuff. Also, I do like the country movies, but Lorraine and Ed Warren are kind of shitty people. Now the real life, are you talking about real life or the movie ones? Yeah, real life, real life. Oh, yeah. Real life ones, totally. The movie ones outdoor. Oh, yeah, the movie ones fucking love them. I can't remember who plays Ed, but I love him. I love seeing him and like anything he does, because it's also in Sidious. The Red Door. Oh my god. Yeah. Well, no, he's in the first one and the last one that came out. Yep. Yeah, I'm every one of the first one too. Which I could do a whole show about fucking in Sidious. I love that franchise so much. You've seen the Red Door? I have. I think I actually own it on DVD. Oh, it's so good. It is, it is. My favorite character, which they managed to put her in the Red Door, so I didn't know her character died. I should say my favorite actress, and it is Olin Shay. She plays the older woman from the first one. She's good. Yes. Oh, she's amazing. I absolutely love her. Then I won't lie. I love the direction they took the movies, where it focused in on her and the two goofy guys. Yeah, that was the best. No, no, just the franchise that I won from like the first movie. And then like the ones after that were kind of like prequels, and it focused in on Lynn Shay's character and the two goofy guys from the first one that helped her. Oh, and be honest, I'm not. I have not seen like, I've seen the first in Sidious, and I didn't want you anymore working on it like the first one. Oh, except for the last one. Oh, you need to watch them all. They're all good. Like, I don't care how goofy they get in it or kind of dumb. They will always be like top tier to me. But before I keep on talking about that, let's get back to my list. So number six in Field Poetry Guy's documentary on Apple TV from 2023, because I'm pretty sure just a bunch of other ones. Number five is the Unbinding from 2023. So pretty much it's about a couple that found a statue in the, it's either Catskill or Catskill Mountains, which is in New York. So they find a statue in these mountains in the New York area. And they end up taking it home, which is a really dumb decision. I don't know why anyone would do that. If I found something like that in the woods, just randomly, I'm not taking it home. It can stay. Exactly. We've watched two main movies. Exactly. I don't think there's ghosts and shit, but I'm not a person to fuck around and find out. I'm not about that life. So they take it home and find themselves haunted by a sinful spirit. And this one you can find on Apple TV and Prime. Now number four, I've seen number four. It's creepy. It creeped me out. I think this and maybe one other one on this list are the only ones that truly creeped me out. So number four is the Pantry Ghost documentary. Pantry like food pantry? Yes. Okay. Which you might have seen the clips from it. I wouldn't be surprised. You can watch on YouTube. I'll have much information on it. But it's pretty much a documentary about a ghost that is haunting a pantry. And someone's house. Yeah, I don't know how long it is, but I know it is good. I would definitely suggest that if you want a nice, good creepy experience while you're watching something. I will. Let me pantry. I miss about pantry. Yeah. So this was from like 2012 around that time. It's actually 2013 in my bed. So it is now for quite a while. And I have not heard of it till now. Yeah. So to pantry, it's not like a walk-in one. It's just like a door with shelves. And in one of the videos, you can see like a hand and a face in there. And there's no room for anyone to actually stand inside. It's a crazy part. Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to watch this and feel. Yeah. You can watch on YouTube. It's about 40 minutes of... It's not bad. I don't know. I'm not sure if you have to buy it. It does not look like you have to. No, maybe you do. Maybe you have to do free trial shit. Trial shit. But yeah, you can check it out. I'm pretty sure they have like clips of it on YouTube. So you don't have to buy it. Number three is called the afterlife investigations. The Skoll experiments is from 2011. And apparently it's a five-year-long scientific study from the 90s to discover the secrets of the afterlife. And it is on Amazon Prime. Now, I haven't seen this. I'm not sure what it's about. But I kind of want to watch it. Even though I know the camera, like the camera is going to look real shit on it because it's from the 90s. And they didn't have that great of cameras back then. It's from the 90s, like 19 months? 1990s. Yeah, I mean, it really won't be that bad now. Come on. Ah, darling. I mean, from what we got today, it's real fucking bad. I mean, look at all of the 80 horror movies. I went to the head. Well, it's a... So these are documentaries. So I'm not sure if they'll have like, you know, like movie quality cameras, you know? Or if it's just like a camera you bought at like... Radio Shack. Okay, I see what you mean now. Yeah. So yeah, it might be really grainy and shit. But real quick, speaking of Radio Shack, the last time me and Trisea went up to... I want to say it was Montana. We found a Radio Shack still open. And I haven't seen a Radio Shack in like 10 plus years. I've never seen a Radio Shack. I think that I was either too young or before my time. Yeah, I remember going to them as a kid. They had a bunch of cool shit. But the one we went to sold a bunch like RC stuff, which was dope. It's like, I want all this. But it was super expensive. I'm talking like $500 for RC. It's like, god damn. So, that was number three onto number two, is an unknown encounter, a true account of the San Pedro haunting. Now, I've seen this one. This one kind of came in creep suit, if it's the one I remember. I don't know if you've heard of it or not. I have not. It's a really long movie title though. It fucking is my guy. You know, I watched this on YouTube, so I don't think it had that long of a title. But I watched this, I think, back in high school or maybe middle school. But pretty much it's from 1997, a mother and paranormal team face disembodied heads, mysterious orbs and murderous forces in this house. I think most of it takes place up in the attic. That sounds kind of funny though. It was, it creeped me to fuck out in high school. I'm making a list of where I went forgetting what's on my watch. Oh yeah. What was the name of that document for you again? So, now we're onto number one. Which actually I found very interesting. I kind of wish I would do like a day version of this because it's from 2005. So, it's not as bad as '90s stuff, but it is probably going to look real cheesy and shit. But it's a ghost on the underground. Or maybe it was in the underground. I might miss wrote the title. It's from 2005. It focuses on the British subway system and is narrated by Paul McGinnon. I think it's how you say it's I think. Who is from Doctor Who. And it's pretty much all of the ghosts. I get to say ghosts and parents. People have had ghost experiences in the subway system. From building it to using it, you know, any story that involves ghosts they talk about. So, I thought that was pretty cool overall. Kind of sounds like a day like was it 13 ghosts, but one movie? Oh my god, yes. You know what they should. I've seen people talk about it before, and I know they probably haven't even thought about it. But the studio should make like a prequel where you like show where like Ray goes in depth on each ghost in their backstory. Oh my god, I saw that. Somebody posted that there. Yeah, please do that. I don't disagree. Oh, yeah, definitely. Now, so this movie has not came out. Yeah, I'm not. Let me get the release date for it real quick. Okay, so this movie comes out August 9th. I'm super excited for it. I'm not sure if you've seen trailer for it or not, but it's called Trap. I really like it. So the reason I'm super excited for it is because it has one of my favorite actors in it. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned him before because he's out there with like Keanu Reeves and shit. It's a Josh Hart's net. I can't put a name with the face. What else is he playing in? He was in 30 Days of Night, the vampire movie. I'm like Alaska wherever. Oh my god, Squatch. You are missing. Oh, I would say that's probably my favorite horror vampire movie ever. Well, I'm just gonna have to watch it now, you know. I would put that in my top five. That is my, that's in my top five for horror movies. It's 30 Days of Night. Dang, okay, definitely have to watch it now. Yeah, so good. I actually love him. And just a bunch of other actors in that are really great. Everyone's actually amazing in that movie. And then they did like a sequel to in like 2012 or 2013. And it's straight fucking ass. It's so fucking bad. Dude, it's so bad. I didn't even fucking know about it till like last year. Or maybe the year before. It didn't mean that long to find out just a sequel to it. But anyways, so 30 Days of Night, real quick, it's actually based on comic. Really? What kind of comic? What kind of horror comic? I don't know if you call it 30 days or not. Or is it called something else? Yes, okay. Yeah, it's called 30 Days of Night. And it's a vampire comic. It's really good. Real quick speaking comics. There's another comic that I heard Netflix was going to do a show for. And it's called something's killing the children. It's good. I read the first issue. Fucking hooked. I have the second one. I haven't read it yet. Because I don't want to read it. They have to go down to Idaho Falls just to buy the next 10 issues of it. I'm trying to save my money. But yeah, so you should definitely check out a comic card. Something's killing the children. Really good. Sorry. Five comic. No, you're good. I was just going to say that. But what were you going to say? I've actually, I heard something about that. Like I even saw a TikTok about it or something. Oh, yes. I've seen quite a few TikToks about it. I actually might have sent you a TikTok about it. That's how much. Yeah, that's how much I like this comic. But anyway, so back to this movie trap. It's Josh Hartnet in it who he was in 30 days of night. He was in Black Hawk down from like 2001. I don't know if you've ever seen that. No. Oh, dude. So Black Hawk down is about Mogadishia in the 90s. It has him or Lando Bloom, Tom Hardy, and like a bunch of other really famous actors up in it. It's a really good movie. I watched it a lot growing up. Probably too much at a young age, I would say. So I don't know who else is in this movie. I'm just excited because he's in it. So to really say for it is August 9th. So super close for almost there to it. Let's see. It's directed by In Night Shyamalan. Why does that sound familiar? He did that movie The Village. He... Oh, I don't want to say it, but I'm going to say it. He did the live action Avatar movie. I have not seen it. Good. Don't watch it. Don't look it up. It's fucking god awful. If I was going to punch him for anything in life, it would just be that one thing. My goodness. That bad, huh? It's that bad. The cartoon's so good, but the movie's so fucking ass. Dude, so in the cartoon, the character's name, the main character's name is Aang. They don't even fucking calm Aang get the movie. They say Aang. Like, why the fuck did you change it from an A to an O? The fuck are you all smoking? Oh my god. Let's pull off this. He does a lot of horror movies or thriller mystery movies, I guess. I think he did split. Ooh, the one with the multiple personalities? Yes. Oh, that's a good movie. Yeah, he displayed Glass, the visit, the happening. He was part of, what's that? He did knock at the cabin with Dave Batista, which I still have to watch. Oh, I wanted to watch. I saw it advertised in the fingers last year. So I don't mean to interrupt you, but he did a movie with like the scariest fucking scene in any movie. And it's, I don't know how to describe it, but if you've seen the movie, you know this scene. But from 2002, and if a Mel Gibson movie called Signs, it's about aliens. Oh, okay. So there's a scene in it where they're watching the news. People know there's aliens and, or there's a lot more alien signs popping up, so much so that it's getting like attention in the news. So Mel Gibson's family, he also has Walking Phoenix from Joker in it. Fucking solid. Or watching like TV in the news comes on, and there's a video from Mexico where they're filming down like this alleyway, and you just see this alien walk by, stop and look and just keep going. And it's just so creepy, because it looks like such a real scene, like something you'd actually see happen. I know a lot of people agree with me on this, because I see some of the videos talking about this one scene in that movie. Look at that now. Oh, definitely. Have you seen any of the scary movies? Lately? Just any of them like the early ones up till, I think like three or four? Oh, scary movies? Like the comedy? Yeah, yeah, like the parody comedies. Uh, I have seen bits and pieces from TikTok, like as it goes. Oh god, don't give me sorry, please. Anyways, they made it from the movie in one of them, where like they have like these aluminum like tin foil hats into that like opens when it starts seeing chocolate out of it. It's dumb, but it's funny. So in Night Shyamalan also did the sixth sense with Bruce. I have seen one. Yeah. So he had some pretty good bangers and some not so good ones, the village. I've never watched, but I've not heard good things about. I haven't seen it. He did the movie After Earth with Will Smith and Jaden Smith. It was not that kind of a movie. Now you mentioned the visit, right? Yes. When did I, is that the one? I haven't seen it, but is that the one where the kids got to visit the grandma and the grandpa? Yes. Okay, I saw a TikTok on it and I've been wanting to watch it. Dawg man, this is seeing how I wasn't ready for it. And you just get like full grainy ass in the scene. Nothing but grainy ass. It's like, god damn it. I wish I would've looked away. Yeah. So yeah, he is doing this movie trap. It's going to be distributed by Warner Brothers Pictures. Wow. Oh, there you go. I'm not sure. I think it might have ended it, but I'm not too sure. It does have once in a while. It's like, oh, you have a 30 minute limit, but I'm not sure why. Oh, all right. Interesting for sure. It's fine. It happens. Don't worry. Me and my friend Carter, who I, one of the guys I started this with, like, fucking eight years ago, we were recording last week. And my guy had to out like maybe 30 minutes of the recording, just because how bad it got. But for us, it's, you know, we're doing pretty well. You know, it's pretty smooth. All things considered. Yeah. But let me go ahead and jump back in where I was since we had an interruption. You know, it's not OPC podcast episode without some technical difficulties. Um, so yeah, the movie trap. I got like a quick synopsis. It's super short, like two lines. Pretty much it's about a dad and daughter who go to this concert, that the, a concert that the daughter wants to go to. But it turns out the concert is a ploy to draw out a serial killer and catch him. Oh, yes, that's different. That's like a, that's not, you don't have many movies like that. Yeah, I think I just fucking ruined this movie for me. What? Because I know in Night Shyamalan, I know he does a lot of twists and shit. I, I'm gonna, I bet you five bucks that the dad's the serial, serial killer. And Josh harden that place to dad. So I bet you he's the killer. That they're trying to catch. Well, don't ruin the movie for yourself. I just, ah, my elbow. I hit my elbow. Fuck. I heard that. Ah, I'm having a good night. That has got to talk for up. It does. Oh, God. I hope I'm wrong. I really hope I'm wrong about, about that. But I'm still excited to see it. I will go see it. Actually, I probably won't go see. I'll wait till it streams. Cause I now have a kid and no one to baby. Hey, you won't come babysit. Yeah, I'll be there in two, three business days. Dope, dope. Um, but yes, I'm super excited to see this movie. Ah, it looks good. And I don't know, I guess that's it. Uh, there's other movies I would like to talk about, but I'll wait and talk about them next time. You know, I won't overdo it too much. But are there any movies that you're excited to see that you're looking forward to? Uh, honestly, just the new conjuring movie, because it's supposed to be the last one in the whole series. I forgot about that. Yes. So the conjuring, I do enjoy that series too, but it's a bit much. Um, I still have to watch maybe like the last and about movie that came out and both none movies. Oh, don't even get me started on my none too. Good or bad? Bad. I liked it. I just wish you saw the none more. Oh, okay. Yeah. You really don't get to see it until the end. I feel like when you really get a, but I mean, it's good. I mean, it's not bad. I gave it like a three. Al five. Yeah, not bad, not bad. Um, so like the first conjuring movie, I think it's by the scariest that they've done. Really? I kind of thought that one might be doing it. I won't lie, I got bored with that one. Like, if I had to read a five, I would give that one a two out of five. That's wow, I'd write it five out of five. I really liked it. Yeah, I would give conjuring to a three out of five and the conjuring a four point five out of five is why I would give it. I will say that I like the none like the original none. Oh, the first. Yeah. Yeah, have you the woman in black? That's a movie that don't get talked about. No, it's not. So here's the thing. I've never seen the first one, but I did watch the second one and doesn't have Daniel Radcliffe in it. The first one or the second one? No, the second one. Oh, I don't know. It's been a few years since I've seen it. Actually, since it came out, I think it's when I watched it. Oh, so the first one has Daniel Radcliffe. I don't think the second one does. I never watched it. Apparently, you can watch it on Paramount, Amazon, Sling of Rooku. Rooku, that was cool. Yeah, Apple TV, Fandango, Google Play, it's everywhere. I haven't watched that one, but I did watch the sequel and I won't lie. I don't remember the sequel. Yeah, that's how I am. Like, after so long, you forget the movie and you have to re-watch it. Yeah, I think I watched it when it came out. So I think the sequel was a prequel to it. I think it showed how she became, right? I think. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I was going to ask you, have you ever seen Sinister? I have. I like the first one. So playing story real quick, the first state meaning for seeing a way on was to go see the second Sinister movie. I haven't seen the second one, but I watched the first one. The first one is good. The second one is kind of really bad. The second one, I would give like a 1.5L5. The first one, 3.5L5. Let's see. I might say, okay, what's the, all right, which one has the lawnmower singing on? The first one. Okay, well, what's the second one about? I might have seen that. So I think the second one is a prequel, if I remember correctly. It's about two boys who am taken by the demon or whatever and convinced to kill like the mom and her boyfriend. Does it end up doing it in the end? I think so, but I'm not too sure. I think I've seen it. Yeah, I think, I think I know what you're talking about. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't like it, but it's funny because when me and Christine went and saw it, I was living in Alabama at the time and she had came to visit me. And when we were buying tickets like these two, like maybe 14, 15 year old kids asked if I could buy them tickets to it. And I should have just told them no. Did you? No, I told them no, no. Oh. Yeah, I wasn't cool. I'm still not cool. I never will be cool. After I told them no, I should have just took the money bomb, like a ticket to whatever kids movie was playing. I was like, God damn it, you're right. I should have done that. Yes, you should. Oh. Let's see. Come up with those devious ideas. Oh, have you ever seen, oh, I'm sorry, go ahead. Oh, no, no, I wasn't going to say anything. Oh, have you seen the Hellhouse movies? I have not, but I've been wanting to watch them. They're, they're okay. I, I get how that could be scary to normal person. But to me, they just wasn't, I don't know, scary enough. I give them a clue. Oh, two. So just a, I don't think it's three movies, but just two of them. Just like a duo, a first-sense sequel. Called, uh, God, uh, does your house is built in October? Yeah, the house is October built. Have you ever seen those? No, what's that about? Okay, let me pull up the wiki real quick. The house is October built is a 2014, I'm reading straight from wiki. It's a 2014 American found footage horror film and it's a directoral debut of Bobby Rowe, who I'm not sure who the fuck that is. It was, no one cares. So it takes place in like several haunted houses in like the main characters or, if I remember correctly, are looking for like, like extreme haunted houses during like Halloween. Um, like that one that was out in California, um, where like, like you have to sign a waiver and shit and they pretty much treat you through the haunted house. Okay. Uh, let's see. So it's something like that and I don't remember it well enough to pretty much give you a full synopsis of it, but I remember it was creepy enough that off memory, I would give it like a three out of five. That's not cool, man. Nah, um, it's something I definitely want to go back and rewatch. And I never did get around to watching the sequel. But it is from the producers of Insidious and Paranormal Activity. I'm with you there, but on the side note on that, they are like my guilty pleasure. Movies, I've seen them all. I fucking hate them, but I keep watching them every time a new one comes out. Yeah, I love it. I feel like I remember when the first one came out. I was super excited. It was supposed to be the super scary movie. Uh, I rented it from Video Warehouse in Alabama. And it was like a Saturday night. I went over to my friend's house, shout out Greg and, uh, LZ, two brothers. Um, and we, we chilled out and watched it and it was so fucking boring. And nine with that scary. Uh, and I regret, I regret renting it. But let's see who Bobby Rowe is. Oh, he was in the longest yard. Superman returns numbers. Oh, he's down a lot, man. Shit. Um, but speaking of movies or order, I feel like now a lot of people talk about. Have you ever seen Midnight Meat Train? Midnight Meat or Meat? Meat, E-M-E-A-T. I have not, I've never heard of that. Oh, so came out in 2008 and you know who's in it? Who? Bradley Cooper. I'm pretty sure it's one of his earlier roles. Um, pretty much he is a, either a photographer, a photographer, a photographer. I'm not saying that's so weird. Yeah, he takes pictures. He's a picture guy. Or he's a journalist. I can't remember which one. Um, but anyways, he kind of somewhat was upon a serial killer, kills people on the train. Like on like the last like ride of the train of the night went pretty much empty. And there's a crazy aspect that then I won't spoil it because it's just that good. Um, and it's based on a Clive Barker short story. I don't know what that is. The director Clive Barker, he did a Hellraiser. Oh, okay. I don't really keep the directors that much. I don't keep up with a lot of them, but I keep up with him. Uh, the guy who did Dave the Dead, George Romero. Uh, the one dude who did Shape of Water, um, fuck, what is his name? Give me one thing. I'll tell you his name because I already do like him. Gum, Gum. Del Toro. Cause I always fuck up his first name. But it's, um, so he's done, uh, Shape of Water. Uh, what else? Uh, no, it doesn't move. He did. I know you will know. Uh, Pan's Labyrinth. He did that. He did what? Pan's Labyrinth. Uh, not so much. Oh my God. Uh, he also did, uh, Hellboy in 2004 with Ron Perlman. I've seen Hellboy, but it's been a long time. So yeah, he was a director for that. He also did, um, have you seen the movie Crimson Peak? Regular. Oh, God. You're supposed to like horror movie squats. What are you doing over there? Golly. I know. I'm just, I'm just so mean and bunking the day that you know. I feel like, um, so he did a movie that came out like three years ago called Nightmare Alley, which has Bradley Cooper in it. I do believe. Yeah, um, which is about like a traveling freak show in a circus. It's pretty good. He did Pacific Rim. I've not seen that one. You've never seen Pacific Rim. Oh my God. That's such a good movie. No, it's, uh, it's, uh, along the lines of kind of like Godzilla, it's Kaishu movie, you know, Giant Monsters, but people build like giant mechs to fight back. And, uh, all these giant monsters are coming through like a rift in the ocean from like another planet. Fucking wild. Um, but super good. Just like two movies of it. Uh, what? What? No fucking way. I just found something out that I had no clue about. Have you seen, uh, Blade 2 with Wesley Snipes? You don't know who Wesley Snipes is. We've had this conversation on Kai. Who was in the first one? Oh, dude, you're miss out. But so Blade is a Marvel comic character. He's a half vampire who hunts vampires. I love who he is. I was never saying that. Oh, okay. So don't Toro directed at least the second Blade movie. I don't know about the first one. Golly, I am shocked. So shocked. Uh, let's see. What else has he done? Oh, have you seen the movie Antlers? No, but it's new in it. Yeah, 2021. Yeah, it's newish. I've seen it. It's pretty good. It's creepy as shit, man. Um, either am I bought it or I might have just found somewhere to watch it. I don't remember which one. Yeah, no, I really wanted to watch it, but I had. He directed that. Actually, that's why Scott Cooper directed it. By one, be surprised if he had a hand in it. Actually, I know he did. I think he helped write it. If I remember correctly, but that was good. And the movie, uh, Mama. I've not. I've never heard of that. Came out in 2013. I have no idea. So if I was two young girls who were abandoned in, uh, cabin in the forest and they were fostered by an unknown entity that they called Mama. While they were in the woods. Interesting. I didn't want to watch it. I never got around to it. You know, that's the light to you. Someone else directed that, but I'm pretty sure he. Was a part of it in some way. He said a lot, but anyways. Del Toro Auro athlete loved him. He's such a sweet guy too. Like if you meet him in person, he's a really nice guy. And, uh, the reason he got into like writing and directing is because, um, I want to say it was like when he was kid, he watched, um, the thing from the Black Lagoon or a movie like that. And he was really annoyed with how the movie ended or how it was and wanting to remake it. Man, when you look and watch that. Right. So he kept growing up and becoming a director, which is great. I love it. Uh, off-spite. Um, but yeah. So, um, I don't remember how we got to this point, Squatch. Um, you got me off on such a tangent. I forgot where I began. Fuck. Uh, what, what were we talking about? Maybe if I go back. Oh, midnight knee train is what we were talking about. Uh, so good movie definitely would suggest it. Um, yeah, how long is it? Uh, I don't have, I've run time for it. Good, which suggests it. Watch it. Let me tell you where to watch. Uh, it's on 2B Plex and it's on Prime, but you gotta pay $3.99. Same for Apple TV. Some Pluto TV for free. Wow, cool, cool, cool. I think I got Pluto. You really, that's weird. I never met anyone with Pluto until right now. I have 2B. I don't, I don't think I got 2B. I'm not 100% sure. 2B isn't bad. I just watched the movie on there. Not last week or I think I've been the week before. It's the last recording I did with my friend Irish for the OPC part of this. He got me watched this movie and we talked about it. It was a decently good movie. It was kind of like the movie Dodgeball, but it was about paintball. Oh, I forgot to. Yeah, but yeah, I think that is all I have unless you have anything. No, but I'll have stuff next week or whenever we're doing. That works. Yeah, Dad would love to do this weekly, you know, just pop out like two episodes week. One for us and whoever we're calling this. By the way, you guys, we'll have a title at the beginning of the show, but right now as we're recording, we don't have a name for what this is. But it's going to focus mainly on horror movies/media, ghost stories, stuff like that. Anything spooky that you can think of, it will be here. One's hard enough. It really is man. So much to do. So little time. But yeah, so if you guys have any suggestions for horror movies or anything, I will maybe make a post on Instagram or somewhere, Facebook, I don't know where, maybe TikTok. I don't know yet. I'll do it all even YouTube. Just let us know, you know, and we'll give it a watch and rate it, you know, talk about it, talk about what we love, what we hated, why it was bad, why it was good. Which I know it actually reminds me. There's a, it's kind of like a found footage movie from Australia. It's called Lake Mungo that I really want to watch. Mungo. Yes, yeah, I came out in, yeah, I said 2008, yeah, sound footage. I've heard it's really good, but I'm in check it out. It's on to be for free. Oh damn, to be has a last check watch. Hell yeah. But that's it for this week. I hope you guys enjoy. You can find us at, actually let me get my no pad back out because I have all of the socials. So Instagram is OPC podcast, Facebook's OPC podcast, TikTok is OPC podcast, Twitter chumps podcast, Twitch chumps play, which means Twitch just got done playing a bunch of war zone. What'd I just call you? I did not call you Squatch, did I? Yeah, yeah. I thought I saw it. That, that's a sponsored ethic glitch. Uh, I didn't hear it either, honestly. Well, she's owned out, but I'm pretty sure I said glitch was just a whole different friend. Uh, me and Squatch just got done playing a whole bunch of war zone. Oh, yeah, yeah, oh God, my brain. I got that dad brain going. God damn, I'm so sorry. But, uh, so yeah, you can find us on, uh, Twitch chumps play, we play just games. Uh, maybe one day we can play one of the outlast games. I had that last mission. Oh, like maybe group and do it. Yes, um, yeah, isn't that, yeah, isn't that the multiplayer one? Yeah, yeah, dude, I heard it was good. I heard, so I heard that they, um, like put in like character models that look like your friends that will attack you. Oh, they do. They did. Yeah, my buddy, we, we struggled hard. We got an F on everything we did. Damn. Uh, there's another game, um, I don't remember what game is, but if you play longer, I won't say it's like maybe 12 hours straight of this game. It's, it creates things for you to see that are not fair. Mm, that's cool. Um, I can't find what game it was, but it's like, that's fucking wild. Uh, anyway, so yeah, Twitch chumps play, chumps underscore play Twitter chumps podcast and YouTube is one pump chumps. Um, and if this little segment or episodes that we do, you know, about speak shit, get popular enough, we might actually saw a separate podcast for it, which could be dope. Um, big planes, a lot of planes, not enough time. Uh, watch, where can they find you? Uh, they can find me on Twitch and TikTok at simply underscore squatch. And they can find me on Instagram at simply underscore squatch email. Hell yeah. Complaintable to squatch. She's kind of hairy. I am. Hope you don't mind. I'll share a bit. Oh god, just like the dogs. No, like my roommate had dogs and we just got revved off the dog care, right? Then Chris, my girlfriend, her brother went to do training in the Mojave Desert. Uh, cause he's in military and we had to watch this dog cause there was someone else. And now we have nothing but black dog care over the house again. It's like, come on. We just got revved off the other dog care. Chris, I know I got two dogs and a cat. Yeah. Um, it made Chris, you didn't realize she didn't want a dog. Cause, uh, his dog was kind of hyper and always had energy and shit. Nope. It's like, I'm telling her she has to give bass a hound. Yeah, I get a lazy dog. But, uh, I guess this is it. We're going to end here. It was a blast recording with you squatch. I can't wait to do it again next week. Yes. So maybe I'm excited. Well, what? Exactly. Um, so skitush y'all keep it spooky and we're out
