Harrison Butker, Chiefs agree to four-year extension
5 Sports Update Kicker Harrison Butker and the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to a $4-year $25.6 million contract extension ESPN reported Monday. The deal includes $17.8 million guaranteed and makes Butker the highest-paid kicker in the sport with a roughly $6.4 million average annual salary. In a post to X, Butker said, "There's no place I'd rather be than with the Chiefs excited to finalize a four-year extension." Butker was entering the final season of a five-year deal with the new extension, keeping him in Kansas City through the 2028 NFL season. Last year, Butker connected on 33 of 35 field goal attempts, with his longest mate coming from 60 yards. He was 38 of 38 on extra points. Originally selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2017 draft, Butker was claimed off waivers by the Chiefs, made his NFL debut in the 2017 season.
