Today, we're focusing on staying fresh and indulging in a classic summer treat. Does anyone know the history behind Fresh Breath? On National Fresh Breath Day, it's worth noting that ancient Egyptians chewed on frankincense and Merpe pellets to combat bad breath. Fast forward to the 19th century and Listerine was created, not as mouthwash, but as surgical antiseptic. It wasn't until the 1920s that Listerine became popular for freshening breath. So today, take a moment to appreciate how far we've come and our quest for that minty fresh feeling. I love that you can hop on Amazon and still buy frankincense and Merpe. What? It's too funny to me. It's only $18. Yeah, I think I'm going to stick with the Listerine, but thanks anyway. Whatever, you don't know what you're missing. Oh my gosh. And let's not forget National Ripper Fote, this delightful treat combining creamy ice cream and fizzy ripper was invented by Frank J. Weisner in 1893. He was inspired by the snowy peaks of Cow Mountain and decided to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to his ripper, creating what looked like a snow-capped mountain in a glass. The black cow quickly became a hit, so why not take a moment today to enjoy this timeless refreshing concoction? World's greatest float maker will now demonstrate how to make an AW root beer float. First, the ice cream, next the rich creamy AW. I love root beer float, so I brought them for the whole office and oh my god, they're delicious. The black cow actually is still used today too as the name. I don't know if you knew that or not. I didn't and it's kind of weird because technically it's brown once you put in the ice cream. I think it's about the mountain actually as opposed to what it looks like in the class. Huh. Okay, we can go with that. I think I'm gonna stick to calling it a root beer float. Please pass it over and stop talking. Here you go. You're welcome. I'm Latoya Johnson. I'm Marlo Anderson. Thank you for joining us on our journey to celebrate every day.
