5 Sports Update For the first time in nearly four weeks, the Chicago White Sox are in the win column. The White Sox defeated the Oakland A's 5-1 Tuesday night snap against a 21-game losing streak. Chicago halted its skid two losses short of the Major League record, held by the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies, despite the first victory since July 10. That was prior to the All-Star Break. The White Sox are still a Major League worst 28 and 88, and remain on pace to break the Major League record of 120 losses in the season held by the 1962 New York Mets. For more on where the White Sox skid ranks among the longest in sports, head to foxports.com or check out the Fox Sports app. This episode is brought to you by our good friends at NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV.
