Welcome into the Gorilla Sports Podcast, I'm your host Alex Boulpin, and it's Wednesday August the 7th. Alright guys, we got to recap a losing day yesterday. We lost one and a half units, so now at the end of the world, we're on a nice 9 and 2 run, but we gave a couple of units back yesterday. Let's get into the plays. So we took Baltimore on the first five innings, minus half a run, and this kind of sucked because Grayson Rodriguez didn't start. He pulled out like five minutes before the game started, and then to put in Albert Suarez. Now granted, it was zero, zero after five, so we didn't score any runs anyway, so it's not like we lost that way. But when you have your super ace on the mound on and all there's something about it where you just kind of hit the ball a little bit better, but Chris Bassett, he pitched really well. So if we had only taken just the money line and not the minus half a run, we would have got our money back, but we didn't. We were a little greedy. We thought Baltimore was really going to get to them, so that didn't work out. We lost that one, and then our batter parlays, we took Raphael Devers and we paired it with Vladigorero. These guys are automatic together, so that was a winner, and then we took Xavier Edwards, our new boy. It's so good. He's automatic, this kid. And we paired it with Quetzal Marte. Now Marte got rained out, so we only won the half a unit on Xavier Edwards. And then we took Marcus Simeon. We paired it with Yandy Diaz. Now Marcus Simeon, he was part of that one hitter, that Fromber Valdez was pitching. It was almost a no hitter with two outs, and then Corey Seager hit a home run off him just to ruin it, but so he didn't get a hit and neither did Yandy Diaz. And then our boy Gunnar Henderson, he let us down. Oh, man, I was watching that game. He put a perfect shot in the gap in Dalton Varsho, tracked this thing down, dove out, and just smashed into the wall, dove up and caught this thing. I mean, I don't know how many outfielders would have got this one, but Dalton Varsho tracked this one down. That sucked his, uh, Niko Horner got his hit as well. So yeah, Dalton Varsho cost us some money. Thanks, buddy. All right. So those were our plays from yesterday. Now let's get into the board today. I like the San Diego Padres on the Moneyline today. Now the best spot I found that was on FanDul and it was at a minus 154. So I took that play. Now San Diego is on a 12 and two run. They are playing some good baseball and it's Michael King going to get today. This kid has been good all of a sudden out of nowhere. I was betting against him at the beginning of the year, but yeah, foolishly because this kid is on fire. Now he's nine and six. He's got a 326 year eight, a 1.16 whip. He only gives up 7.1 hit, uh, 7.18 hits per nine, which is beautiful. Um, his last, uh, uh, he's only given up one run in four of his last five starts, which is terrific. And these were against have good offenses, Boston, Texas, Seattle and Cleveland man. And then his last time out, he gave up two runs to Baltimore, another big hitting team. So five monsters in a row and now he's going versus Pittsburgh, who's kind of a middle of the pack. Uh, now they're going versus Marco Gonzalez. This guy's one and one. He's got a 372 year rate and a 152 whip. His last start did not go well. He gave up seven hits and four runs and two innings versus Arizona before they yanked them. Pittsburgh is not playing that well. Now they're four and six over the last 10. They lost two in a row and they're kind of falling out of this, uh, playoff race. They're now four games back of a wildcard, so they're kind of going the opposite way. So we're going to jump on San Diego on the money line today. Uh, and then I got some batter parlays that I like today. We're going to take, uh, Jose Altuve to get one hit. Now he's a three for four with a whole room, two doubles versus, uh, Urana and Texas today. So we like Jose Altuve, the Houston Astros, and we're going to pair with our boy, Vladigararo, 18 game hitting street, best in baseball, and he's back in 338 versus left handed pitching. So I love that look too, uh, and we're, our next place, we're going to take Bobby Whit. We found another place that we can take Bobby Whit, love it. This guy is batting four O three at home. He's got three 43 versus right handed pitching and he's got a hit in 23 out of his last 25 games. This guy is on fire and we're going to pair him with Brent Rooker. Love this guy. Now he's in the Oakland A's, uh, now they're just, they keep sleeping on this guy. So he's a minus 190. You could probably find it even lower than that. So he's a perfect guy to pair with Bobby Whit because we get him at a minus 108 together with Bobby Whit. Now he's going versus Dean Martin, uh, of the Chicago White Sox. This kid's got a 13.28 hits per nine. Love that. Rooker's got a hit in 20 of his last, uh, 16 of his last 20 games. He got two hits last night. So perfect. Give me Brent Rooker, Bobby Whit. Our next place we're going to take our boy Xavier Edwards. Love this guy. Miami Marlins. Uh, now he's back in 423 versus left handed pitching and he's one for one versus Abbott and Cincinnati today. So that's perfect. And we're going to pair him with, uh, Katel Marte. We tried to play him yesterday, but he got rained out and he's three for five with two homers versus Ben Lively in game one of the Cleveland games today. There's a double header going. So we like Edwards and Marte together. Our next plays, we're going to take one solo of the New York Yankees. It's going versus Davis Daniel. I love this matchup for these two guys together and we're going to pair it with Corey Seger. He's on a six game hitting streak and he's two for six versus Kakuchi. So perfect. You get that one in a nice plus 103. So I like those two guys together. And our last plays, we're going to take Alec bomb of the Philadelphia Phillies. He's on an eight game hitting streak and he's a two for four versus Gavin Stone of the LA Dodgers. He had three hits last night. So we've seen the ball while perfect and we're going to pair it with Yerkes and pro far of the San Diego Padres, like I was saying before, I think a lot of these San Diego guys are going to get some hits. But I think I liked pro far the best. He's at the top of the lineups that north of 300, uh, he's got back to back to hit games. And yeah, like he said, he's going versus Marco Gonzalez. All right, guys, so we've got five batter parlays. We got one money line. And if you're rocking with me,
