"Fox weather!" I'm Fox weather meteorologist Kendall Smith and here's the latest from America's Weather Center. Tropical Storm Debbie made a second landfall near Bull's Bay, South Carolina overnight and is slowly moving up the eastern seaboard as it unleashes a dangerous flood and tornado threat for millions of Americans. Tropical Storm warnings remain in effect along the North Carolina coastline and wind gusts between 40 and 60 miles per hour will impact the area today. Happy rainfall across portions of southeastern North Carolina and eastern South Carolina is expected to persist through Friday, leading to areas of considerable flooding. There is a level four flood risk. The highest threat on the scale issued for parts of the region, so make sure to use extreme caution. Meanwhile, there's no relief from above-average temperatures over the next two days across much of the west and to the southern plains and south. Record highs are possible today across portions of Texas and the Northeast Gulf Coast and again on Friday from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle.
