[MUSIC PLAYING] A very good afternoon from the sports team. Well, it was an epic comeback from a Kani Samine in the four by 100 meter relay heats earlier today. Samine started the final leg way, way back, but powered through to finish second in their heat behind the USA. It's a last chance for a medal for Samine, and along with his inexperienced team, which includes an 18-year-old by Under Walaza, a 19-year-old, Bradley and Koana, and also 23-year-old and Sean Maswangani. Samine and his team are stoked to make the final. Oh, man, I'm just really happy with qualifying for the next round. I think right now we are in a really good position for tomorrow, and we're looking forward to racing. Today was just about falifying, and we did that, and then tomorrow we just have to clean up everything and make sure that we have a good batch in exchange throughout these six changes and just get the job done. So Team South Africa produced the second fastest heat time. So they looking good going into that final, obviously, going to be without the injured Benjamin Richardson for that final. And some other results from Team South Africa today. Julia Vincent is into the Women's 3-metre springboard final after finishing sixth in her semi-final, Marioni Ferri, 100-metre hurdle repishage today, which booked her a spot in the semi-finals. And then looking at some cricket news, it is day two of the first test match between the West Indies and South Africa. Obviously, most of day one was reigned out yesterday. They only played an hour of cricket, the Proteers ended yesterday, 49 for one, and they've just started, they're all 49 for one. One overdone there, Tristan Stubbs, five not out. Tony D'Zorzi is 33 not out, the Proteers are going to want to put down their foot on the accelerator today to try and press on, given that they've missed most of yesterday. And then finally, in some tennis news, four-time champion Raffen Adele has withdrawn from the US Open. He didn't confirm if he has any health or injury concerns. He did say, though, that he is still planning on playing in the Labor Cup in Berlin next month. That's all for this hour for the East Coast Radio Sport team. I'm Nick Tatham.
