[Music] Hello and welcome along to the latest edition of the left-wing back podcast. It's County Final Week in terms of whirling in Carlo and we have a walker episode laying down for you. It's all association with our client partners, property partners boogie, chorus boards, tablet hotel, Carlo, poet don motors, PFT travel, pad of horn photography, railway unlimited, the Arboretum garden center, lockdown bridge, and Brendan cabinet furniture. So we've got two county finals on Saturday and two county finals on Sunday. On Saturday the junior finals are quarter to four. It's born rangers up against mode lincer rangers then at six o'clock once the rangers take on St. Mullins. The same two sites clash in the senior hurling final and Sunday at 3 o'clock at network column park. It's a game that's live on TV, catheart, television, and indeed on case he's already on. And before that at 1230 you've got the junior hurling shield finder between Carla town and the abrade. We've got people to talk about all of those finals on today's episode. We'll start the junior hurling shield final and Alex Delaney of Carla town will talk us through who to look over on the junior side. Alex has been very proud of with the intermediate side this year. Neighborly starboard Alan Brennan will be playing in Sunday. She'll finally he'll tell us all about that from every point of view. Tommy Bohe, the St. Mullins senior hurling manager, will cover off the senior and intermediate finals from St. Mullins point of view. His counterpart of course is Paul O'Brien, the Mullins surrender senior hurling manager who covers off the Mullins surrender side of things. And we catch up with Kieran Bulger of born rangers. Kieran is involved in various committees, board a national and local level. It's a whopper episode coming your way. And of course check out leftwingback.com as well. Lio Magoff has been flat out with some fantastic articles. For some published already, a great one on the Carla 116 Commodgy team. Congratulations to them. They won the honour and title at the weekend, seen off down. Lio has done a very comprehensive report on the game and some really cool history on Commodgy titles from Carla's point of view. They've been a few and far between, but it's well documented by Lio. Speaking of Lio, I've done an article on the Carla hurling final statistics terms of teams that have qualified on top of their own robins. They just would not kind of follow through and won the senior hurling championship outright. So the stats are there on that. Keep an eye on the website. Over the next couple of days, there's going to be at least three or four more pieces of content dropping across the weekend as we head into County final favour. We do hope you enjoyed the episode. And of course, if you've liked what we've done throughout the year, you can support our efforts for the price of coffee. It's on leftwingback.com. And you can see the buying a coffee in there. Thanks to everyone who has supported us and got in touch with some kind feedback throughout the year. Very much appreciate it indeed. Turn our attention now to native breed. And on Sunday of course, we have the junior hurling shale final, which is on before the senior County hurling final. A man who's played in a few senior hurling county finals and was successful in those as well and what you had. And indeed, possibly a senior football final or two is the man on the other side of the screen here at the minute. Mr. Alan Brennan. Alan, how's things? Hi, Kev. Good to see you again. Yeah, likewise, man. Been a while. Been a while. So you're back in this final again. I think you walked up the steps and took the shade last year. Maybe it's the championship one. You might have been hoping to have been in, but it's nice to be involved in County final then, nonetheless. It's great. Yeah. I mean, we won the junior shade last year. Cleveland Ryan was actually supposed to be captain of the team at the time, but I had to get pushed up to senior a couple of weeks beforehand. So I ended up taking the trophy on the day. But that was that was great. It's great to be back again. The curtain razor to the senior final what more can you ask for? Hopefully, we can give it a good shot on Sunday anyway. Yeah, it's class. And I think it's a great concept to introduce the shield that there is an involvement on County final weekend. Because, I mean, we played again for a bit of fun when it gets to that level, I guess. Well, some of that maybe don't. And while he's anyway, when you get to a certain age, you have to start enjoying it a little bit more and maybe not hitting it so serious. But to have that concept in there, I think it's fantastic, isn't it? It definitely is. Like, I mean, it gets you got to guarantee five or six games every year and, you know, top four and this year go through to the junior year proper, if you want to call it that. And I mean, that's what we were hoping to be to be honest with you. We had good numbers last year, and we're hoping to have the same this year, but just between one thing and another, same with junior, like in most places, you got a lot of players that roll in roll out every single game. And, you know, we'll play a card of town the first round. We had a good win over them. But, you know, we've had a couple of, I suppose, tough games since that. And we're back in the shield find now again, against card of town. And, yeah, looking forward to, you know, showing up and, yeah, see what we can do on Sunday. Good stuff. I forgot to mention, if you want to media finals that you would have played in a more successful, and as well, the strike rate is actually pretty good. I would think in county finals, Alan, from your point in view, regardless of what grade it is. Yeah, yeah, I don't want to jinx things for sure, but I don't think I don't think we've actually lost one, but I'm definitely jinxing it now. I don't know if Mark is listening. He's very superstitious, so he'll be like, what the hell he is saying. But, um, no, look, uh, we'd honestly don't don't think about that at all. We just go out, like, and, uh, you know, take whatever, you know, teams in front of us and each, you know, game as it comes. There's, like, there's a nice plan to you to experience on it. I mean, uh, there's lads more than half my age on the team that will be there on, on Sunday as well. And, uh, yeah, it's, it's great. Like, I got in jam and I would, I actually technically retired like a few years ago, but then COVID hit and I was, like, right, I'm getting bored here a long ago, back at it and went back and played a little bit and really enjoyed the, the couple of years junior and stay, stay gone. And like, I wouldn't say the training is too taxing. So we're just, uh, you know, making the most of it. And it's enjoyable. Like an asset thing. And that's all you're looking for. It's just enjoy it. And, uh, if there's some sort of work at the end of it, then don't brilliant. Oh, without naming too many names, I suppose. Who, who are these young guns on the, on the scene that, that we should look over? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, um, we're short a couple now on Sunday for shooting a couple of injuries and, uh, on holidays, but that's, uh, that's another story. But even Timmy Clark there, full back is, it's been hurting first while it was for the last couple of years. Um, Jack, though, and even Dan Rocha, that whole full back line, you know, is, is strong. And then as you move up the field, like you've got, um, you know, Gary Distal worked hopefully there and our center back. And then Mark Fitz is like, got, got, got a pace to burn. You know, we've got Conrad Lacy, Alfie Barco, you know, Dylan Delaney, Brandon Dwyer. So all these lands are, you know, they're, they're starting to put the hand up. And that's what we need to see. You know, we need to see these lands coming through and really pushing and, um, helping to get us back to where we want to be. And so, you know, it's, it's important that those ads are there showing up and we're there to support them along the way, like somebody older, the older folks and just doing whatever we can to nurture that talent and guide them, uh, if at all. And, uh, you know, hopefully a little trophy at the end of it, um, if we can manage that would be like the, the kind of the catalyst to keep them going out and, and motivated for the next year, you know, year and years to come. In terms of Adel Hardin, I think it's, uh, Horland's a big lift this year, considering the disappointment of not feeling that scene around. And do you want to mean that Yara Volkinet this weekend, um, or fortunately these issues have kind of been prevalent for a decade on and off, not, not entirely. And feel free to disagree if you'd like. But, um, sadly, there has been struggles up and down. There's lots of positive things happening from under edge point of view. There's a great 14s team. There's lots of good warping done. And it's not a cliche. It's actually fact, um, the club is in a pretty good place. Even if there was a setback at senior level, I would suggest, uh, but maybe you'll tell me a bit more about that and possibly double up with the fundraiser that's happening at the minute too. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Um, no, look, we're, we're, we're very mindful that like, if you zoom out for a second and just look at Carlo Harding as a whole, it needs every single parish, every single club, you know, contributing to that. And like, there's a small, let's say, a passionate group of, of hurling people in the county and it's no different in, in their breed as well. And under edge, as you mentioned, like a couple of under 14 teams, um, they've been doing well, 16s have been doing okay. Um, and they're good willing, I said, well, as you're in the week and minor is not too bad as well, you know, and you got, you're kind of doubling up on some players there between those teams as well. But, um, the key for us at that age is to continue to invest in that under age. Um, because we have to start at the bottom, if you're looking to rebuild, which we're, we absolutely are looking to do. Um, you have to start with the under age and nurture that talent and get them up to a level where they're competing at a level or they're hopefully winning as well. Um, but enjoying the whole experience of, of being a player. Um, and if you do that, like to come back from more as we did, like we were very lucky under age, we, you know, we had a lot of success and suppose that's what keeps me and others as well, like coming back from more and trying to pay that back too. So we have to get those lads continuing to play, you know, reducing the drop off rates. Um, that are not just prevalent in our club, but in a lot of clubs, as you go up through the grades too, from twenties to, to senior. Um, so if we can reduce that as much as possible, it kind of, you know, maximize that participation across all levels. And there's a strong group of people like mentors and committee members there that are totally invested in moving the club forward, if you will. And that kind of leads into the fundraiser. Yeah. So like, I mean, it takes a lot of money to run any GA club, as you know. Um, and so we've, you know, joined forces with the Komogi club this year, which has been brilliant. I have to say it's been the last like three, four weeks we've been, you know, pushing this, um, the support that we've got from the community to raise funds, essentially to keep both clubs running for the year. And then we've put a new hurling wall in. We've got that painted with targets and everything during the week that all costs money, Super Bowl development, um, but all the general data expenses that comes around in a club need to be covered. Um, and this is what that is for. And then, you know, hopefully next year we'll be looking to break ground on, on new dressing rooms too. So, um, and yeah, we'll probably require a massive fundraiser for that to fill the gap. But look, this is all a part of, um, moving forward. And we have the walkathon happening this weekend starts 12 o'clock Saturday. We've got Father Lawyer coming down. He's going to officially open the wall ball and we've got, um, some presentations for our county players. And there's a whole bunch of fun activities for the kids through the day. And we've got various groups of leaders that will be walking essentially for 24 hours. So, um, yeah, really looking forward to just all the games happening. Um, we've a couple of clubs coming in from the outside and some from within the county as well. That'll hopefully, uh, uh, uh, you know, keep everyone occupied and it'll be tea, coffee, refreshments, and cake stir for everyone too. At least though. And how do we support? There's a link on the social visitor, I think. There is, there is. Thanks for asking. Uh, there is a, a go, a go fund me link there. Um, it's up on all our socials, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Um, we even believe it or not. I never thought I'd say this set up a TikTok account there too. Cause apparently that's where all the cool kids hang out. So yeah, we've got one of those for help. You're one of them now as well. Yeah. You know, I deleted all my social media profiles there a couple of years ago. And I had to reinstall everything when I, when I landed this TRO role with the club. So, uh, I, uh, there's not much I don't know, but I mean, those platforms at the moment, but, um, look, it's, it was just about promoting hurling in the county. You know, that, that's all we were looking to do. So, um, if people are around on, on, on Saturday in particular to come down to the Super Bowl starts at 12 o'clock, it would be great to see people there. Cause though, I think it's a great initiative. It's a great idea. And for those that I suppose that are, are unaware and every day I actually don't have to run a lot of, because I think all the football clubs have a lot of, so they have to kind of, you know, work around that and find other ways to raise funds. So this is why this is such, uh, an important thing, I guess, to keep things taken over. Absolutely. And like we're, we're very mindful, you know, with the football clubs in the parage that you are, um, going to the, you know, in some cases, the same people, the same families, the same businesses. And the last big fundraiser we did, we did, I think was 2017 was the Broadway event. If you remember, um, which was, it was absolutely brilliant. It was great crack petrifying, uh, I will admit, but, uh, it was great crack. And since then we haven't had a big one necessarily. Um, so this is, this is a relatively, you know, big one that will keep both club sustained for a year and into next year and as well. Um, so all those funds are going to be put, uh, to good use. Good stuff. Great, great to hear. And great to hear from you as well, Alan. I know we're a little bit tight on time. We'll give a shout out there and listen, uh, a club made of, of ours. I know he's gone on the pastor's now and now, but he's definitely gone on the pastor's now in terms of affairs of his life, because he got married there yesterday. So congrats to Erton and, uh, and his new lovely wife and, um, you know, best look to you at the weekend. Great to hear from you. We'll have an extensive chat. I think it's on stage. There's a lot to dig into and it's great to see you keeping the, the shoulder to the wheel. It's not easy going. Recovery is definitely not simply even if you are in the goal. So fair bet you and, and thanks for joining us. All right, let's look. Thanks. Thanks for having us on. Now we turn our attention to all things Carla town and the chief marksman for the Carla town to media team. This, of course, is Mr. Alex Delaney. Alex is going to join us here to tell us all about the junior Carla town side who were in the Shield final against you on club near breed on Sunday. Alex, great to have you on the pod. Um, your, your counterpart bogey did fairly well. So, um, yeah, how was all of it too? Okay. Thanks for having me on. Come forward to the junior. You'll find 11 some that. Yeah. It should be a decent one. I think it's a, it's a good concept to Shield, uh, section because it gives, um, an opportunity for last to feature on County final weekend if, if the championship side of the junior hasn't worked out, what do you think? Great. Yeah. Sure. Like, you know, I started your, like, last three years, we didn't have a junior team at all. And, um, both of us, we started doing well, then to me, it's third year. And I think that had enough on effect really with training. Like, that's one to get up. Actually, we have, um, totally five ads available Sunday. So it's kind of shown how many ads want to play harder than now, considering we started going out with the, with the adult team, with the intermediate team. But yeah, it's, it's actually great. I think it's great to have the junior Shield. It gives lads, you know, a chance to play and not to come apart. And even the fact that it's on for the senior fight, I think it's brilliant to be honest. Yes, class, you're fairly close to making the code you find in yourself with the intermediates. Um, just lose notes, boss, the, the Rangers on the day. I think you're a pretty good year on things. Considerable. You're probably still disappointed. Not a, not a mid to final, I guess. Yeah. It hurts. Like, cause, um, we, we were convinced we were, we were going to win it this year. And I was, um, we, um, a few of us, you know, we might say it publicly like we, um, we were happy with the year, but I think a lot of us were disappointed about how it went in the end. I think, um, I think Rangers, it just kind of showed the experience that had that, like, they've been there before, you know, like you think a lot of us kind of lacked, lacked that kind of bit of experience and, and, um, adult hurting, but look, when you, when you kind of sit back and look at it's, it was a lot that are natural. Like we got the league final, got to the, any week, uh, 20, 75 as well. Like it's, it's good going in the next year. No one kind of, look, we've had big games this year. We know how to treat it differently. Um, know how to treat it differently. No, not sure. But, um, yeah, a bit disappointed, but looking back and it wasn't too bad to, uh, like the, the vibes coming from the club are largely positive. And like, on this podcast last long ago, we had worries for Carla Town, but now Carla Town seems to be in a very healthy position. And like the numbers that you're talking about for the second team kind of indicate that how well you've done with your first team this year, albeit disappointed still yourself, um, are indicating that as well. So like, it's all, it's all very positive. I know I spoke to you about this too, but for say from your own point of view, right? Like you're, you're a very good jewel player. You love your football, you love your Harlan. Um, how have you been able to juggle the two and how well ads that are in that position? Um, able to do was kind of, how have you been able to do with this year? Has it been difficult? Um, I, I guess communication is probably the big thing and I don't turn on Tommy with big Harlan at the back of the two. Yes, they want to see in the football field with those certainly wouldn't be against Harlan. So, um, I'm sure that has that got something to do with it? Yeah. Um, suppose last year I talked a step back from, um, from football at, at a level just cause I believe in certain, you know, hard and championship comes far. So I was kind of stuck to step back there. But this year, I'm the communication between Tarla and Tommy and Sean McManar, our Harlan coach has been good. Um, those that the football ads would be good if I was like, I remember Simon Ray, I kind of pulled me in Kyle there a few months ago and Harlan was starting to say, look lads, as long as you're off training once a week for football, like we don't mind at all. So it's good. Like there's no, there's no pressure. Like you won't have the hard chance to match. And you're thinking on a focus, like it should be as football training in the morning. So it's actually good now to come in the communication this year. I think, like it's difficult as well with the Harlan coach because you're driving with so many different football teams, like there's, there's a rogue pout in Ireland asking at the Blues, like it's, it's difficult. I think communication this year between Sean and other coaches is very good because they gave that the chance to, to commit like we had come on back this year, who was a mask addition to the team. Like he, he didn't play that sure. Uh, I think it was his first year paying adults with off. So if he's a year older than me, he's thousand four, um, perry commit this year as well, which is massive. Um, so it just gave that that chance to commit for the Harlan, which is massive for us today. There's an equal to showing you how communication that it is possible. Like, I mean, there's lots of important renders in the same kind of predicament. They might be kicking with the Cox or kicking with Kilbright or Valen, wherever the case may be. They're in the county fine, let the weekend. I mean, it can be known if lads want to do it. They have a go away with on this podcast, talking about the Kiltegan situation. I don't know what did you say, it was the five or six Harlan clubs, um, or football clubs involved in, in, in, in that kind of a Harlan team putting that together. It can be done. There's the proof from the button. And Sean is supposed from, I know Sean is near old man too, but like all the football heads there, I think would be, would be a sooner sentiment. They'd want to see a plan and sure. I mean, I can't always stand over and fully suggest that that was always like that, but it's certainly great to see it now. And the format probably does have its advantage in that it's a bit easier to do than if it was every second week, like, you know, yeah, yeah, it's the first season. I think it's worked this year. Um, I would have been more so far to two weeks on two weeks off one. Well, the communication was tough left this year, to be honest. And it's, it's nice now, you know, it's a nine to be able to harden, but at the same time, it's nice to have that break because we were 30 foot outs. Oh, that's doing. We were 30 foot outs there when we were doing hard non football, but it's nice now we have the focus on the one at the bottom. Um, so in terms of this team on, on Sunday, this junior team, um, you're all by stroking away, I believe, is he? He's trying to anyway, yeah. Good stuff. Good stuff. And like he's, he's got quite a story. So he's a leash man originally had played for Carlo at one particular stage. Did you hire Felicia? Yeah, he did. Um, I think I remember my uncle, my uncle sent me something there. It was in the rap down he paid for something about it. I think he paid four, four times for leash when he was younger. He moves. No, no, he moved to Carlo. I think maybe he's out in the tree. It's funny story. Actually, he moved, he moved to Carlo the year before rap down he won the senior championship. So he never actually won. I'm not rap down yet. All the brothers now have four or five senior methods and he's non but, um, I think, um, he moved as well before if they only became redown yard who was just when they were the one, the one, the amalgamate then, and after he left, they've had success since so. Yeah, Jenny, uh, it's, it's a smart way that the whole thing finds out. And there's lots of stories like that. I guess Karate home do tend to pick up, uh, um, a few loose ones that come in along the way for one of a very, very important, which is, which is always, which is always a good thing. But, uh, yeah, it's great to see him broken love just very quickly for him. Let's go. Who are the guys we should be looking over on this car with Helen's under theme? If you're to name just who we're trying to even. Yeah, um, I suppose, uh, Brandon cast the dilemma grad to young lads, um, I would pay with them the whole way up there. Very good. They're definitely intermediate. Next couple of years are very good. Um, people, the older lads, uh, John Cleary, uh, not in the forest is he's very good as well. Um, both my father give out to me if I don't say him, uh, he'll be on the freeze there. I'd say, so, um, out of my goal, he's very good as well. You know, there's sugar that's there. Adam Seeger in corner forward, so you can corner forward as well. Oh, uh, there's food. Well, we see a Harlan senior company as someone's dead. Uh, I hope so. I hope so. Uh, so let's see, see how panza. Because, uh, there will be four cars made and I suspect there might be a time where you might get a car from football and Harlem management and you have a decision to make. But, uh, I get the feeling Harlan is, um, fairly close to your heart. Uh, it is, uh, my whole, my whole family's her family, the heart and my, um, it's just basically just in town, football, football has been bigger and harder. Like, so sometimes football does have to take the, the front seat, but my family will be very profoundly hard. And so, no, my aim is to play a senior, senior county. If that's football or Harlan, I don't know about being the county audience. Yeah. We're going the right way about running a boycott. So more power to Alex and, uh, listen, thanks for having that chat with us here in the podcast and best of the car to come with the weekend. All right. Yeah, it all has to all. Yeah. Thanks for turning our attention to this year's junior Harlan championship. Finally, there is a course on Saturday, a network called on park, foreign rangers up against one of his rangers. The man on the other end of the screen here is a man who has been on the left wing by podcast before. I think it was in a similar enough circumstance, probably back in 2020 for that junior final with foreign rangers and battling killing. Now, here, and you probably want like hearing that it's exactly the same circumstances. Maybe you prefer to be taught on intermediate or maybe even a senior final. Well, anyway, it is what it is. Here's foreign rangers. It's 2024. They've been moving well. Some good results. Can you do it this time? Well, I suppose you have to get to the final first. Um, uh, so they're during the final, like last year, we lost the semi final to could have on, you know, fair square could have went on. They won that junior championship, but I suppose that heart. So suppose the only thing you can do is pick yourself back up and get back into the final. We didn't achieve that last year. So look, that's as far as you can get. So then it's just look, it's a one off game now. Appreciated against opposition that they've played before. They actually paid them the first round of the championship. But suppose what we've learned over the years is that teams that you play in the first round are necessarily the same 15 or 16 or 17 lands that you play in the last round. So I think Edward Cody has managed to find a pair of boots and tags again. So he's out like there, like, that's one thing we don't have. Like we have Joe Waters this year, which is great from an experience point of view, bit of physicality as well. Uh, but your MLR like the experience all over the pitch like Willie Hickey is there. I know he was playing in gold the last day we played, but he's outfield now. And like, that's just, we don't have that. Um, so our lads skillful enough, they're fit enough. They have all the hurling. Absolutely. But look, it's just, it's the margins on the day of a final. As we saw last year with a semi final, anything can happen. So one, we hope they do is winners. You'll see the panel. There's over 30 on the panel. So in theory, looks, we have enough for two teams, which is a good thing. And, you know, if we were to be successful on a Saturday, you know, you can go up to intermediate known that you still probably have a junior hurling team. So in terms of carol hurling, that's a good thing. But, uh, no, because of last year, we're, we're taking nothing for granted. And when you're playing mountains, the Rangers, you can even take less of for granted. Yeah, it was a humding or a semi-final last year in fairness. Like you were very, very unlucky on the day. And I think, you know, going towards the whole huge worst experience kind of mantra. Yeah, Willie Hickey is a trade, I think Eddie Cordy is at six, John Cordy is probably at 11. The Joe Waters at 11 for years, you mentioned there has played county hurling before. He's a great great to have around as well, he's a really good character. And you mentioned the skills for hurling as you have, your county man, Larkin Dyla is operating at six, I say, according to reports. I haven't got too many junior games, I'll be honest with you. I haven't got too many games at all with everything that's going on, but, um, it's an interesting one to see Larkin at six, but like he has all the hurling for it, and I'm sure he's far isn't there. Yeah, Larkin is looking. Larkin's a great hurler, and I suppose he's been exposed to playing with, um, you know, fire superior lads, like county level, if you know, you're even if you're a popular ball to my hearty cabinet, Chris Nolan, whoever, like, um, so I suppose our younger lads, you have to remember, like we have lads on this team now on Saturday who are 17, 18, 19, right? They're not children, but they're chaps. So for them to be playing alongside Larkin Dyl, who's playing intra-county hurling or experience, it's great. So they look up to Larkin. Larkin, you know, he's still a young lad himself to be fair. Yeah. And it's great now. Larkin's got her own, um, is involved with the panel as well. So, you know, he'll be there, thereabouts, uh, you know, start on Saturday to be fair. So it's lovely to see those, I suppose, family, um, kind of teams and coming together, like, you know, having a few brothers and stuff like that and Gordon, but going back to Joel, yeah, as Joel says himself, he's about 35 plus Vash, age wise, but look, his his his leadership, like, you know, that in the heat of battle, like he'll tell the young lads to if he says them to stop talk or shut up, they'll listen to him. Whereas if a 21 year old is telling a 19 year old to stay quite or go back, it's not quite the same. But when you have that bit of experience and Billy Shannon as well, um, the captain, so like they're the two most experienced guys we have in the team, I think the next oldest could be 22 or three. So yeah, but it, it looked from that point of view, we're in a good place in terms of youth and whatever. But when you're playing against someone who's 26, seven or eight or even 42 or three, you know, physically, they are going to be more physically developed and a bit of experience and to put the ball over the bar rather than go on for a goal, like they have that. You know what I mean? Like these guys have worn MLR, worn county jerseys, one senior Herman county finals. Our lads haven't like, you know, I mean, a few of them won minor championships last year, which is good. It's good for the psyche. So when they're in Dr. Colin Park, they don't, they're not scared. Um, some people think that born Rangers team are scarred, like from losing county finals, but it's not like that. No, no, no, we're, we're, we're, we're getting to move away from that, hopefully. Like most of that panel will say, like, I know you lost a couple of finals or whatever. Well, a lot of those guys are probably like 13 or 14 at the time, like, you know what I mean? Yeah, if I would have been involved with the kind of coach and it seems like, I mean, how our first year in 2015, I think we got to a county semi-final junior, how we did it. I mean, the average age was probably bang on 28, but you probably had 18 year olds and 50 year olds. Uh, it, it, it, it doesn't, it didn't work out. And I think we played mice in the semi-final and I think Robbie Foley banged in three or four goals and that was it. Like, you know, but that was the reality where we're coming from. Um, like, it's, it's great now when you look at the team, it's so young, but at the very start, I, we, we had a challenge match once against Bally Gunner. Um, and it was Bally Gunner's third team. And we were invited down. It was great. If we made a track down to Oxford, we were running about 10 minutes late and I went into the dressing room. And the first person I saw there was Fergal Hartley. And I went, oh, oh. Anyway, it didn't end very well, but like in fairness, the Bally Gunner, what I love about the Hurland community is they were trying to pay us compliments. Uh, I think their manager came into the dressing room and they said, well, one thing I'd say about G-Lads, you're not dirty. And I went, is that all you have to say? Look, we've come a long way from those days of trying to get lads to play a Hurland and, and Jared now, Jared Bulger over the team, like, you know, Jared would have been the stalwart when we started, like, you know, you put Jared in center, back or center forward. You know, he always led from the front. Um, you know, he's a fierce, proud, burn Rangers man. And like, he would, like, he would do an for the club, uh, like most of us. So it means a lot to him and his young, that Connor is playing as well. So it's when you get all those connections, now it feels, when I say it feels like a proper club, you have people establishing the community, people growing up in the community playing Hurland and now the connections between mentors and, you know, uh, team members, which, which is great. Yeah. You're all out of the graduate thing from last year, along with several others till we have from that minor team. Yeah. So yeah, Daniel, Daniel is, yeah, he'll be there there about to start, I'd say on Saturday, like, but like he's, which is great. When you play your first county file, you go in with its complete ignorance, right? It's naive as he. So there's no interior, there's no pressure. I don't know what to, I don't know what I should be doing. You just go at it, like, I think sometimes when you play it a few, all of a sudden you might set an expectation on yourself. So as a 17 year old, there's no pressure on him. Like he can go out and enjoy himself and run and hit the ball and whatever it is, like, it's probably a bit more, yeah, play with absolute freedom. That's what you want. Like, um, so yeah, there's, it's like, there's, there's Daniel alone and there's lots of other other fellows there, young lads on the team. So hopefully they don't feel any to pressure or to knock on an effective last year, such like, you know, and I think Jared, though, and Eddie and James will just tell the lads last year is over. You know, we can't change it. And we, all we can do now is go out and Saturday and play mountain instarangers in a one off game and forget about the first round game. That's the often the problem. You see the caror clubs, they say, Oh, they won't have him for that game and they won't have him, sure he'll be out. Doesn't work like that. No, it doesn't. One last word on Mr Waters and just featuring the 11 and six battle. Like if Eddie Cordy is to pick him up, like those guys would have met each other several times down through the years. It's fascinating. The other thing on him is, if things are getting tight now, right, coming down the hall stretch, not even in the goal, there's only one place that ball is going, like, sort of, and he landed as well. Like, you know, that's the thing about him. And it's the, it's the beauty of lads has been able to still contribute. And I know what he's relatively new, as you said, to the adults in the river, the club, for some, there's something really, really nice about that, who like it's great to see the open converse, but the guys at the other end still given their all. And how would I ever do in some cases? I just can't get me head around it. Well, it's good to see. Yeah, like Joe, I'd say, and I mean, this is a nice way for a man of his generation, you know, but like, he plays full of matches, like, and he's full throttle, like, and he's getting stuck in the action, like, and he wants the ball. He's like, he's like another anyone else, like, you know, he's not looking just to lay the ball off. Like, if he thinks there's a score on, there's a score on, like, there will be a physicality, like, so looks psychologically himself and ever called a ball dropping down. They'll use the cute piss, you know, whatever they have to do, if it's to scream or shout at the ref or drop down or do whatever, like, you know, they'll do it like, or especially against younger lads, like, you know, they know that they won't out sprint them, but they'll outthink them, and you know, they've all the experience and they know how to put somebody off, like, if you know what I mean. But then, like, Joe, Joe is a great sense of humor. I mean, he'd even tell me on young lads, like, you know, you stay away from the scoffers, leave that to me, like, or as I said, that, you know, a 21-year-old couldn't tell a 17-year-old that, but Joe can, like, and they all know it, like, sure, you know, he's being there with the bride or the tallow rugby and everything, as well, and carolo hurling. So they do look up to him, but he's a great character, like, it's that lovely sense of humor where he gets the mixture between lads. There's a game to be won here. I don't know, maybe it was the semi-final I heard him talk at half time, and I was kind of looking back like he was gene-optimized, like, it's a pure leader there, and they listen, which is the difference, like, they do listen. Yeah, sometimes the words mean more coming from certain people, and he's definitely one of those people. Just them, I guess, with Rapidoke fairly quickly, you know, but the miners have been gone so well, the board renders, the big Clara, the other night in the Ticani League, you know, in the 11th, I think we're up and crawl apart every day. Everything seems to be on a crest of the way, which is fantastic, and look at where not-blowing smoke or anything involved in all that, having for some time, along with Jarlet and several others down there, both with the lads and with the gutters, I have to say, in fairness. But you're also involved, as a different level, I suppose, with the Horland Development Committee, that we heard about. I think possibly in February or March this year, some heavy hitters on it, Brian Quarry is on it there. I think Neil McManus, like you mentioned, for several others, not going to now drop them all. Well, you've had us hold out come about when I suppose how that's going and where you seek to kind of drive things. Yeah, I tell you last year, like Carlo Gia, Golf Classic, Jarlet Burns, actually, was a guest speaker. I think at the event, so I just got to speak into Jarlet and tell them a bit about burn rangers. And I suppose, when he became president, and one of the main managers was hurling development, and I suppose, burn rangers. And I know I've spoken to you before, like, you know, we're in football area, like, I mean, I don't like using that term, but like, the reality is we're in a football area, Carlo, so starting to hurl, and then how did that come about? And he just was intrigued and fairness, like, you know, balance, you know, the clocks and could ride would give us their, allow us their facilities, allow hurling in, you know, welcome to success. And, you know, we work so well together, like, between managing underage training and matches. And it just seems to work, right? And he just thought that was a great model and a great story. And obviously, the hurling development committee, you know, one of our main aims is obviously to most hurling in the 32 counties. So like, that's one of the things really, when people kind of think about the hurling development committee, that might be thinking about championship changes or rule changes, not that, but a lot of what we've been doing in the early days is really thinking about how we can develop hurling in weaker counties. So, you know, there's a Carlo hurling development committee as well. And we're looking at the same things, like, how can you promote hurling into different areas? Like, you know, I have my own opinions on that in terms of how we train county squads, you know, parts of Carlo, like, you know, you look at Tolo, you have, you know, one of the biggest boys primary schools there is you have a fine secondary school there. Like, it's it's it's fertile ground, as I would say, for hurling. Like, and, you know, and Jim Shepherd in fairness in the past would have been heavily involved with Tolo hurling. And, you know, that has, I suppose, stopped. But like, you know, it's there, you know, there's people in the area who are interested. Now, born Rangers are probably benefit from one or two people or young lads. But I'd be the first to admit, I don't care where any child hurls, you know, if they are Harvard born Rangers this year, and they go to Tolo or they go to Kildavan. That's what we really need to develop, you know, and it starts with under sixes, you know, you don't start with an adult team, you have to start with under six and work your way up slowly, slowly, slowly, getting coaches and people involved. And you mentioned that, like, we're so lucky in born Rangers. Like, I see it now as I've kind of moved away from the younger ages, but I look back and I see the coaches involved with the underage teams in the club, and they're far superior than what we were. And like, I just came from a hurling background and like, the training that I got in Tlekenny, like, you wouldn't do it now. Like, it was literally built the ball across the field. You know, so the quality in standard of the coaches, I suppose, in the county is definitely improving. And that's what that's what really is needed. And that you just need to replicate that in 22 counties. You know, our ambitions in terms of to grow the number of hurling clubs, there's about 1500, 1500 adult hurling clubs in Ireland. It was about two and a half thousands adult football clubs. So there's a bit of a disparity there. So I mean, you know, our ambitions are to probably grow that by, you know, 10% over the X number of years, you know, which would be a good achievement. And it'll need to help and support us both of everyone in the GA in order to do that. I was like a testy project. Sounds like a serious workload. I don't know how you're able to juggle everything, to be honest with you. But I mean, it's a serious undertaking to be involved in two different committees, to be involved at the club level, to hold on a job, family life and all that. And I don't know, it'd take me half the year. That's all you can say. Look, I mean, it's hurling, you see, I mean, hurling people and they often heard it before, like, I mean, if you're down here and Kerry, you'd meet a hurling person, like, you know, you'll just talk. And there's no, I often find that hurling people share a lot easier, that there's no one holding action back. Like, you know, I don't begrudge a hurling team in a different part of the country to develop or flourish. Like, you know, I love it when I see St Mullins amount and syringers go on well in a senior club championship. Like, it's just great, it's great for the county. Same with the click any league, I love when I see Cairo team speak, click any teams, because it's good. It's a boost for everyone. So it's the commenting. I know the workload is that I'm just talking about hurling the whole time. And I suppose apart from work and family, that's probably what I talk about most. So it's a never-love really, like, it doesn't become stressful. No. That's a great thing to be able to do. Because sometimes, you know, I guess when you care something's a watch, like, and you do care about hurling a lot, there comes time where maybe you don't know where to stop. And then I can guess a little bit too much, the German goes over. You seem to have that mastered. Oh, yeah. Well, like, in terms of the club, like, I'm the next generation, you know, not the next generation. I'm looking at the next generation, and it's getting Daniel involved in coaching, which underates or tends, you know, shame his English head. And, you know, he's involved with the junior hurlers as well. He's over the 14 team. So you need to be passing on to the next generation that way. So that releases you, you're going up and up the age groups. And so then you start maybe setting back more on committees. And that's what, you know, you can do. And then the experience, you have gained from that, hopefully you can kind of transfer that to other clubs in Carroll. And then from a national point of view, like, you know, I'm, I love learning. So I'm learning from a Neil McMahon, certain things I'm learning from a Willie Meyer, certain things, you know, like Jim McInerney, like, and, you know, they tell you their own stories. And there's nothing hidden and the connections then, like, I'd be thinking then, I'd love to get someone down to do a session with Burn Rangers, or I'd love to take a team up to Antram to show the Carroll ads, like, you know, we think we were mad about our GA in Carroll. You go up to Antram and you'll probably know this to yourself, like, it's different. You know, they take it to another level than we do, like, you know, it's an identity, you know, it has a lot more meaning, perhaps, than it does for us. So I mean, it's just exposed all the clubs and players to that, you know, but the one thing that bans us together is GA, or in this case, partying as well, like, so it's making all those links and friendships. I really enjoy it. The example, once myself and the Bowser up, the Lurek, and there's talks of a big boss going up on some stage, but you know what, maybe we'll make a family thing over as long as we've got a few points of Sambo and Evelyn things, you know? Oh, no, but it's lovely, like, I mean, like, Sir, we went up to the Carroll, Antramatch, like, and you saw yourself, it's different level, the cheering that was going on and all that, like, it was a bit more intense, it was a close ground, my God, yeah, stand was nearly in on top of the pitch, and you kind of, and even in the failing, our team from downplayed Warren Rangers. And again, there was the most intense game. Yeah, we played, and we played Wexer teams, but the down team brought it to a different level, like, and again, you look at the football this year, and if you probably have done this, like, all the club learns from one by Ulster teams, like, the division one division two, the, the, the Sigherson Cup, like, every worthy cup was won by an art, Ulster teams, you know, they take the G8 to another level, and like, they're not big counties, like, you know, so, I mean, it can be done, but they live and breed it like. Yeah, they were fairly friendly as well on the gate, and like, all the shores were a hundred percent, like, hospitality ways, on the ball, and even that story is Sambo, while he was in the jacks, and Sambo and the jacks are washing your hands beside him, or whatever, and that's how he, I was like, he had hardly come on the ball. So he didn't know me from Adam, like, we just saw down the Earth, like, try the main, it's like, chatting to anyone, people up there, definitely more scope of some stage. We're gonna be able to put your name on the, on the Boston, will I? Oh, I do put it on the bus, yeah. Maybe be going up with a junior Harlan trophy, as well, who knows, listen, I'll wrap it up at that knock here, and I said five or ten minutes, but the chat was so good, I had to keep her taken on, enjoyed a few days in, in, in Kerry there, and from short, was here on the best weekend. All right, thanks a million. Great. Cheers, thanks, Keith. Now, we're turning our attention to St. Mullins, and the Global Course are in two county finalists this weekend. They're playing Melissa Enders in Boston, the intermediate finalist Saturday, the senior final course is Sunday, it's live on T.G. Carr television, and lastly, we live on KSCR, we have a match report with Leo Magoff. I will have a reaction afterwards on the podcast. A man we spoke, if you want to go on, this is where the podcast joins me on the other side, he's the same one as my answer, Tommy Boogie, Tommy House things are? Good Kevin and yourselves. I'm not so bad, it's county final week, you haven't had much time to prepare for Sunday. Two serious semi-finalists, Tom. Yeah, preparation time has been very short, you know, maybe it's not a bad thing, short run into a final, doesn't allow any hype to develop. But yeah, it wasn't what we had planned, Bagma's Town started, eh? They sure did. Look, if the first day was a surprise, I don't think many people saw the replay outcome common, that's so much in terms of you winning the game, but the fact that it will go to extra time, they were expecting St. Mullins to come with favorites, and I suppose many felt maybe wiped the floor up by the sound, which might seem a bit unfair, but generally, when you're an underdog, it's very hard to raise the two days in a row. But Bagma sounds like a credit, it did raise it. They did big time on both days. Bagma's Town are a very good side, and sometimes maybe they don't get the credit they deserve. And like, it had been a strange situation whereby the last rounded around Robin, both of us knew we were going to be meeting the following week in the semi-final, and that's something I've ever experienced before, and it possibly led to a different kind of preparation, and Bagma's Town really brought it to us, and we were quite content to get out with a draw in the end, the first day. Yeah, they got some turnaround in the space of your days. And like, to play the same thing, three times in quick succession, I suppose, is a bit of a, is a bit of a mad one as well, but, um, no idea what they were primed and ready for it, and look, in manual respects, it kind of just goes to show that a lot of what happens in the group stage doesn't really matter who is not once again, to the semi-finalist, but even a dash, there's nothing, there's nothing cautious as you. Like, the difference between Robin Horland and Knockout Horland is huge, and, like, Ant can happen in a Knockout game, and teams will always rise for Knockout Championship. And like I said, a minute ago, Bagma's Town are a good side. They brought a plan, they executed their plan, and they made life extremely hard first. But, having said all that, those two games will stand close. You need us going into a final, and we got two of them. And we passed it in the end, we passed the test in the end, but, we barely passed the test. Just speaking on the intermediate side for a minute, and I know, okay, I appreciate your, you're not heavily involved, but you know, a lot of the lads that are mixed up with the senior panel and stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They've been phenomenal time in fairness, like the intermediate side. It's been the standout side in that championship this year, putting up great scores, and sure, that can only be a good thing for both grades. Well, it's, like, I think one feeds off the other, like a train, and, and, and I said this before, about, say, Mullens, like, the numbers they have, and the amount of holders they have in a small club is amazing. And, but there's some really, really top-class holders on that intermediate side, you know, and knocking on the door, and it's a bit of a balancing act then, if your intermediates are going well, you know, you don't want to sort of maybe take one or two with our top players, but, like, there's times when we had injuries during the year and that, we ended up, we took Sean Conley off it, we took Patrick Walsh off it, you know, they would have been on the intermediate team also. But we had to use them, which is unfortunate for the intermediate management, but they're very understanding. There's never an issue with it, you know? Yeah, they can mean the same, the same their team loss be number one. Well, that's the way it is in any club, you know, and should be, but we would love to say the intermediates getting the win on Saturday night, you know, because that tees things up for the next day, and it gives that little bit of a buzz around the place. I haven't seen Rangers intermediate side this year, but they have taken up the two of us. Yeah, well, if Dennis Morphy is knocking around, and Gary Kelly, I think, is in the goal, and maybe Richard Kelly is a center back, like, they're a little bit of experience anyway, and some good chaps too. They are. And said Mullins are something similar with the likes to share Miss Morphy and these round and then some really good young fellas on it, you know? So both teams are probably there's probably not a hole in between them, you know? Yeah, they're never this issue. From your own point of view, 22 years ago, things were pretty good. You were set one of his manager, and you won that championship. And here we are back all these years later, which we did speak about what we think on the previous podcast, but you're in the final level. So it's a little bit different I suppose from when we last spoke. What are you kind of meta-Rangers this year? For me, I've seen them in a couple of games, and the Balenkin and Grooke in particular, Balenkin and all the Harlan. The renders a lot of score, and I quote, the draw. They threw everything along and took along nicely. Weren't they true? They're a serious outfit. They have developed their system over the last couple of years, obviously, and executed the perfection, 99% of the time to go out in the field. And what they have then, you see, is they have individual brilliance in various spots around the field. And even sometimes your system might be working 100%, but then you have people like Kevin McDonald and Ted Geiss and that young Dona Morphe and these guys, and their unbelievably good orders, they really are unbelievably good. And even in our group game at the beginning, which wasn't championship pace or championship intensity, but you could see how good they were. You know, and then I taught their display in the second half of the semi-final against Balenkin, was top jazz. It's very hard to gauge how these finals go. I mean, more often than not, it's been set one as a render as in the final, and it's been set one as a render as winning them since 2008, when they really last won it. So it's so, so difficult. We've seen times where we think we're running a football in it, and one team or whoever has run away with it. That's happening as in one as a winner. It's happening in a Rangers' favor. And we've had a couple of close encounters, of course, as well down for the years. It really does bring things to life down around that part of the county, doesn't it? It does. And I passed through a virus every night going and coming from training, and I just noticed on Tuesday how many flags were up around the village, like the whole main street is flags, the whole length of it either side of it. But, you know, the one thing about them, both clubs is they have developed the culture, and they have developed seriously good horrors over that 20-year period. And it's our common to fruition in the last few years. But like, these clubs would amaze people from outside the county, you know, with the amount of work they put in, with the numbers they have, and with the quality the players they have. And it's a lot of come down to 65 or 66 minutes on Sunday, and there is no predicting what way this game will go. Well, it's great that in fairness, just a side knob before we finish up, the TV camera is coming down. I don't mean to come at this from a point of view that might entice or induce pressure. I think it's a great thing. I think it's a fantastic exposure for the game in Carlo, that the country is going to get to see this. We saw Carlo Drama, Ticchini, on G.A. Go. T.G. Carter has been very good at covering Carlo things down through the years. But live coverage, I mean, you can't ask for a betterness. It's a great endorsement, I think, of where things are at too. Yeah, and I don't think it adds any extra pressure to players or management or that. It doesn't, like, still you're preparing for a county final. You're preparing for the game. You're the biggest day of the year for you, and that doesn't matter. But what everyone would hope is that the game turns out to be a cracker, and that the exposure for the county is exactly what it was the day they played, they drew it to Kenny, that it gets people talk and that it sort of brings the game to another height in Carlo, that you get more kids out, Roland, you know, that's what you're looking for. It's to grow with the game. If that, if bringing the cameras to Dr. Colin Barr does that, that's brilliant. Happy this is you. Well, Tom, we'll leave it on that note of very best looking. Thanks for having a chat with us here. All right. How about it, Kev? Thanks a million. Turn your attention to Paul and syrengers now, and we're joined by the senior manager, Paul O'Brien. Paul, great to have you on the podcast. How was things? Yeah, good now, Kevin. Go to go to the end. You're preparing the last few days, I suppose, ahead of the senior final. It's a fantastic weekend for honest arrangers being in the senior intermediate. I need to join your finals. I think it's the second year in a row, which that has happened, and a fine testament of the work that's been going on that low, I guess. Yeah, yes. I suppose it was hectic enough there on Sunday morning, all three of the teams were training there on Sunday morning. Thankfully, it was a good morning, and the senior come out with him, we're training as well, so there's a good buzz about the place at the moment, and good to have big numbers in the field this time of the year, you know. How would Eddie Cordy manage that now? Eddie Cordy doesn't know what's trying at all, when you stop. Eddie Cordy doesn't be doing secret training on his own before our sessions run around the field like a lunatic, but yeah, no, he's managing it well. I was thinking he's doing something early because he's moving fairly well still, and in that junior, finally, he said for a nice total, I would say, with jaw water, so he would have hardly counted with for years when he woke against foreign renters. Now he was never one, of course, the time jaw was, but I don't know if that's a battle that Eddie taught you might be having again this time around, but I should look at it. It's fantastic that Eddie's still going, John Cordy, Willie Hickey, all those guys, and the club was to be on a stressful way ever, like, whatnot. Yeah, there's, I suppose, within each of them, three teams that are playing at the weekend, there's no use kind of blends of experience and yield within it at all. I would like, with any of them teams, say, the junior and intermediate in particular, to be bringing fellas up to a level, it's great to be playing alongside the likes of Willie and John, et cetera, you know? Yeah, even from the intermediate point of view, like, you know, I think that's what you're kind of touched on, as well, you've done this more field center forward, I suppose. Gary Kelly is in the world, actually Kelly is knocking around, and I mean, when you have that experience there with the lakes and the cavernas and the boulders and them guys, which is, that's exactly what you want, like. That is, it's massive, and like, you see it, obviously the intermediates and seniors trying to get our all year, and one of the things with ball panels is you'd kind of see little conversations going on of knowledge being passed down, and it makes a huge difference, like, because you see it in other clubs where maybe someone would finish up and they'd tip on into the distance that isn't happening in ranges and that, I suppose, wealth of experience and knowledge is being passed down, so it isn't lost, you know, and it is a massive thing. Right, so in terms of your years, so far, with the senior self, was there in particular, right? I just found it really admirable, actually, that while performance is probably warrant hectic in the early stages, that really keeping in games and get something out with them. In particular, I suppose I was at the ball and killing game, I was at the set, all this one, now, balling killing a group game, that is, and I found balling killing doing a lot of the horrible, but you did a lot of scoring, and still can wear it resolved. Yeah, look, the reality of that day, Kevin, is balling killing short of battles, like, they, they worked for a harder than us, and I suppose one of the things that I suppose was important for us is, and unfortunately, from a parallel holding perspective, they breed around in the competition, but the fact that we had the gap week that we kind of gave us a little bit of an opportunity to, to reset, because it is difficult enough, considering the fact we saw many lads in the senior hurling panel, and obviously they're pushed to the pin in our collar this year to be competing at the answer championship, that we've sold it, live a lead in time to then force couple of rounds, you know, so it is a case of, yes, you're trying to win games, and yes, you're trying to be successful, but there is a bit of building towards, I suppose, where we're at now, you know. Yeah, of course, and, look, you hit, higher levels, they would suggest probably against balling killing when it mattered in, in the second half, where all it comes, it was not the game, it only comes when we're not at them, but that's certainly how it seemed, was that the case? And, yeah, again, I think balling killing were probably the better team in the first half again that day, they, they're really true, they're truly huge amount at us, and I suppose the one thing we're kind of lucky with is that we do have a good panel, and lads are coming off the bench every day, and it's not the same feeling, every day, but on different days, different fellas are coming off the bench and, and making an impact, which is, which is something we're kind of lucky for, and one of the aspects of that is there's, there is kind of difficulty in picking teams because there is that kind of competition within the panel, and we'll say, like, there's fellas who are going well and training, who maybe aren't starting, and then they're felling away going well and being in and out with a team, and it's a good position to be in, because it's going to lead into that competitive training ground environment, you know. And guys, kind of stepping up this year, Dean Tobin, Ped Joyce, I've been impressed with those two, the protector of their kind, and can in, in Chris's absence, I suppose, John, John coming, I think a little bit later, I don't know, as he struggled in early on, but those two lads, the first two lads in the end, in particular, are you been really impressed from a scoring point of view, should lads inside are the same, don't they, Karen, you have, you have it all in there, and then Chris back in the mix now, at just the right time, we have to address elephant at home as well, like, I can't let you go here without talking about feed and what's going on, and the club have said they're not challenging the river and so be it, but there has to be something unpleasant about the whole thing from, from I guess your point of view, not having them, and seeing how the whole thing has panned out. Yeah, sure, like, look, you know, there's no point to me, lion, would I like to have faker this weekend? Absolutely, faker's a Greyhorn, and I actually, I would have known faker before I arrived down in the Rangers, and I suppose I would have actually came across faker when he would have played his forest county flying against Mullins in 2021, maybe, and he was really good at that day, I was actually watching that game closely at the toy and because faker was just after arriving at the college, and when he comes into force here in college, and he's already playing on the club senior team, and an established club senior team, and he was excellent at that day, and look, yeah, I'm fucking annoyed like that. He's not available this weekend because in fairness, he's been driving, he's been driving, training down in Boris over the last number of weeks, you know, since himself and Chris got back from America, you know, and look, it's just very unfortunate the way things transpired, you know, that's, yeah, that's kind of the way that, you know, yeah, I'm sure you're looking to park it or whatever, would it be fair to suggest that the consistent application or the inconsistent application or what he was kind of done for, as well for shreds people in times like this? What do you mean by that now? As in, like, you know, I'm sure if you go to a lot of junior intermediate games or whatever, you might see lads coming off the line and nonchalant contacts, now I don't know how severe this contact was, I don't have the video, so maybe you've had to replace for me to comment, what I do know is that you're not really supposed to come in after line at all at all by what I'm hearing, and even if it was minimal, I would suggest that we're probably seeing a lot of this happen at the lower grades, I think it was probably unfortunate that he's been met an example of, is that fair? Yeah, he has been met an example of, and it's, you know, again, it's disappointing because of how much he's given to Carlo, not just from a horrible perspective, from a football perspective, as well, you know, at under age level, so it is disappointing that that transport, but you know what, again, on this particular week, that's something that we would have dealt with three, four weeks ago, and with a lot of things, you can spend too much time focusing on stuff that's outside your control. Yeah, and you can't be a controller. Well, that's where I come from from the consistency point of view, the application when, you know, maybe I give you a job asking the questions, that was a good question, hit me back with no awareness, yeah, the George Foreman is coming back my direction in terms of being grilled, but yeah, look, I mean, how do you find it again, it is, it is special, as you said, it's not an unusual parent, I'll quote you that way, and from a content point of view, not that you're too concerned about this, how do I keep one up on the way it is, but anyway, here we are, it's just a really interesting, I suppose, week for everyone down that direction, given the proximity of the clubs, given the rivalry, these guys are, a lot of these guys are friends of a lot to feed, don't get me wrong, but like, there have been epic games in these finals, you know yourself, like the performance you came with last year, set one of them to come and wait the floor renders down through the years, renders have done it likewise, there's been a couple of games tight, but by and large, someone seems to take the bull by the horns and push on or whatever, whoever plans out, but it's a serious rivalry, isn't it, you know, you're in the court and trust with there. Ah yeah, and it's a rivalry built on that familiarity and respect, and because of the fact that the teams play each other so, so often it's just, it's just always there kind of front and center and both, but I'd say both clubs are going, well we're gonna, we're gonna play these and number twice during the year, I know we would have even had another tournament game where we played against walls as well, and there's just that familiarity there, and as you said, like everyone knows everyone, and if you look at the make up of the senior county panel, them fellas again are probably training with each other more, we'll say that group of 20 than the air with their clubs, you know, so it's just, there's a huge amount of, of knowledge and, on strengths and weaknesses there across, across both camps, like, and just before I finish up, you're still doing a bit yourself for you. I don't know what you describe as a bit, but yeah, I surely to talk out as how we describe it, from time to time, yeah, fair and corollina. Is that closing the mind the one at which is he or is he just giving over? No, you know what, in fairness, Ali would have talked there a while ago that he was a cousin of yours, Ali's probably not playing too much anymore, so I'm after moving up into the forward since he's a goalkeeper like, so I'm after moving back up into the forward since Ali went away because the goalkeeper's a little bit better than he is now, then he won't because when Ali was there, so I can go and bring the trade up in the forwards, yeah, and now he's, I don't sell man, he was with us there for a good number of years, and he's still kind of hovering around WhatsApp groups, and if you see, is there's 13 or 14 fellows available, he'll put his hand up that kind of a job, you know? Yeah, can't be. Did you play a bonus sword on that thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Glenda Gelson was our successor at that stage, yeah. Yeah, Mayfield, was it Mayfield against? Yeah, Mayfield, yeah, yeah, we, we got there by a good few points, actually, we were, we were poor, I don't think we got a few fellas sent off, or he wasn't one of them now, he was taken off because it was brutal, boring, yeah, that was, that was the way of it, yeah, that was football now, yeah. Full crack for Glenda Gelson, yeah, yeah. It was good. Yeah, I didn't, I know Jay's, I didn't think actually that was going to come off here now, but yeah, it was, it was a bit crack, yeah. I look at told you a North Script one, I told you a North Script, so that's, that's the way this thing tends to go, but look, we're just back to the whole thing itself, I'm going to finish up on it, all I'm going to say is best look to yourself in the lads, thanks for giving up your time and you look, will, will, will, will, will, will be, will be there someday at some stage, all the best balling tanks million already. 100% now what I've talked to him.
