It was it was impressive to see of course the US women's team has advanced to the gold medal round and They'll be playing For the gold, so it was good to see them win Women's Olympic volleyball will be playing for a gold medal as well. So the metal count continues to rise for team USA and Not only does the metal count Continue to rise, but the gold medal count continues to rise as well for the Americans and in looking at it Checking the metal tracker as they call it right now The US with a hundred and three Total medals 103 They lead by more than 30 over the next closest pursuer. That's China was 72 And then the host nation France with 53 by the way, that's a that's a record for France For a metal count for the home nation there and then in gold medals the US has the lead there only by two over China But they do have it 30 28. They have a 38 25 edge in the silver and a 35 19 edge in the bronze. So The US has the lead in all Four metal categories gold silver bronze and total metals right now. He said one We didn't want everybody to go into a panic We wanted them to be able to compete and then two we wanted to be able to make it as discreet as possible And you never want to tell your competitors you're sick. So he did say he's not sure if he'll participate in the four by 100 meter relay that takes place tomorrow Tomorrow afternoon, but he said the Americans do have the speed to run the race without him if he can't go We said I'll talk to the coaches.
