So we should probably try to update you as we go forward. Also, we're going to hear more from Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkeesian and from Longhorn players. Texas had a practice this morning, so we'll we'll let you hear from them some sound from them coming up as well. But there's a lot to to recap with what's going on with the Olympics right now currently in real time at the moment starting with and we've been updating on this. The U.S. men's basketball team is down at the half by 11 points to Serbia, 54 to 43 they trail by 11 and intermission. Steph Curry has done his part. He had 17 points in the first quarter, just three in the second, but he had he's seven of 10 from the floor, six of nine beyond the arc. He's leading all scores with 20 points LeBron James has nine Joel MB that's seven Devin Booker has three among the starters off the bench into the Davis with two Anthony Edwards with two Kevin Durant has not scored. He's only taking one shot. He's over one in in the contest. Serbia is is not led by Nicole. He does have nine points, three rebounds and seven assists, but they have two guys and double figures are Monovich and Bogdanovich are Monovich with 15. Bogdanovich with 12 right now and it's a 54 43 lead for the Serbs. They were up by 15 in the first half before it was trimmed back down to 11. We'll keep you updated on that and the winner is going to play France and Victor when but yama apparently got cut up during the game. It was a cut on the left side of his neck, but they won. They beat Germany 73 69 in the first semifinal and they had the crowd behind him and all that sort of stuff. So the winner is going to play France for the gold. Also the 200 meter men's race today took place and two things happened with regard to Noah Lyles. He didn't win and then they had a revelation about him. He finished in third place as let's see Lee Tobogo a Botswana earn the African nation its first gold medal. And he won it and another American Kenny Bagnaric got the silver and Noah Lyles finished in third place. And it was right after he did that to get the bronze on the NBC broadcast. They indicated they'd spoken with his mother who said Lyles had been diagnosed with COVID two days ago. He tested positive a couple of days ago. He later in an interview said he was tested after not feeling well around five in the morning on Tuesday. But he added he never thought about not running after the diagnosis. He's not sure if he will still participate in the four by 100 meter, but he said the Americans have the speed to win the race without him. That's sort of thing. So yeah, Lyles tested positive for COVID and wound up getting a bronze. Yeah, an incredible dramatic reaction by him after the race ended. I mean, it was almost like Paul Pierce being carted off in a wheelchair going into the locker room so he could go number two. I'm not saying he's not sick. I mean, obviously he looked completely gas, but you know, I thought Cedric Golden had a really good point from the Austin American Statesman is that, you know, in the introductions, you know, he came flying out, you know, doing his thing. He's a great showman, right? He's a great showman. But then you lose the race. I don't know. Just get off the track and let the gold medal get the proper recognition. Now, of course, we're just seeing the American coverage, Craig. But I mean, the race ends. He gets bronze and he's getting more coverage than the gold medal and even the silver medal winner, which doesn't sit right with me. Yeah, I understand, understand that as well. Sidney McLaughlin, their own and also had a big day today. She won gold in the women's 400 meter hurdles final. So good for her. She was able to, able to win that. So there was another gold medal for the U.S., which by the way now has topped 100 total medals. And they still have the gold medal lead by two over China. I think they have 30 in China is 28 in that. So that's, that's where that is. By the way, the U.S., which had been down 15, has trimmed the margin to seven now with just over eight minutes to go third quarter. So they're two minutes into the second half and the U.S. Well, that's back out to a 10 point lead. The survey is just bombed to three. So it's 57-47 there with eight minutes remaining in the third quarter. And again, we'll keep you posted on that one as well. So big news with regard of that. Olympic women's golf has been going on. And Morgan Metro of Switzerland is leading. She had eight threes on her car on the front nine. She shot a 28 on the front nine. Pretty good. And she wound up at 666 one shot lead of her ruining yin of China. That's at the halfway point. Lydia Ko, the only golfer to win medals in the last two Olympics at a 67. She's three off the pace as well. By the way, if she gets a gold medal, it puts her into the LPG Hall of Fame. I always thought that the golf thing is a little bit weird about that, about the number if you hit a certain number. It's kind of like college football, right? With your winning percentage. That's keeping Mike Leach out of the college football Hall of Fame. Same thing. I think it's kind of cool. I think it's kind of cool. No, I think there should be some amendments depending on the player, like if someone passes away a little bit earlier before their coaching career playing special exception. Yeah. One Longhorn is playing in the women's golf event, Sarah Cuscova, who's representing. I want to make sure you get the country right. I think it's Chetia. She's currently tied for 45th. But yeah, interesting to see Nellie Corda, six shots back, but still still two rounds to go. So a Scottie Sheffield at one point was what seven shots behind Raw on Sunday. So maybe we can see U.S. sweep the golf competitions. Cordy Corda shot a 70. So she was six under for the day until she had one bad swing, one bad lie and three putts for a quadruple bogey on the par three sixteenth. It's my game. Get a seven on the par three. Hey, those closing 16 17 18 water lurking all lower the place. So it's, I mean, we saw Rory make double. We saw Ron make double. So it's, it's a tough course. And it's, it's a great course, I think, for this Olympic competition. Wow. Okay. Also, just getting word about the Americans taking gold and silver. Holloway and Roberts also winning in the hurdles.
