Dead type friends. So, there's a fair choice for the kits. And deploy that to the developers. Any of these kits we want to change the colours of? We can. So, those are the kits here. So, we'll have obviously be in sports on at Champion 5's. And we're deploying it in the basket like we're athletic. So, it's got some connotations on the professional teams. And then it's got a few random ones on random colours. So, you can pick any kit you want. Pretty smart one. So, Kit. So, Kit. So, you see that in Australia cooking the day when they had, I think it was the same in Brisbane maybe. They had the old school arsenal. You know, the yellow and blue one. Oh, I think they were left in a day. Yeah. So, it's the same. But, like, I think it might have been. We'll see if I can get it up, surely. But, yeah, they had, that's all the old school arsenal. That's very cute. Those two tops are probably one of them. You've seen it for now, right? Well, do I click on it to yourself, mate? Let's go, yeah. Talk about MPL. No, not really. Just talk MPL instead. So, they're getting me born in Calgary? Yeah, probably. Yeah. Just, no, it's still in there. Oh, that's fair. Everyone has to speak. That seems to be fair, man. That's where the Liverpool Academy is. That's like Popos Coast. Yeah. And then you, obviously, first of all, I've always been on Liverpool with your academy. Well, did you start, like, before you were in the academy, were you just local? Just local Sunday league teams, yeah. Just playing with me, mate. And then went into the academy. Got released, probably, 13, 14. Then went to Rexxon. Oh, better back to LA? Yeah, man. I'm gonna be there now, yeah. And then, yeah, got the classic excuse, are you too small and you're too lightweight? That was from Liverpool and then... Oh, what's your message? Nice. I like that one. I should have prepared for that one. I've got me foot in it, myself. Yeah, and then got the same excuse again from Rexxon, when I was 15, 16 for the scholarship. Right. And then... How did you do that when you heard that information? Did you just take your water for dogs back? No. The Liverpool one was hard, obviously, being there, supporting the club and all that. Yeah. I remember, yeah, crying my eyes out, walking out to the car park with me to add. Then the Rexxon one didn't really phase me as much because it wasn't too much of a big jump. Yep. And I was playing, you know, park football and enjoying it, so that one, really didn't really phase me as much. Yeah. Yeah. Did you... Like, when you're... That's quite a common thing to you. I mean, I'd probably hand to you as well. I was always used some day who was a cracking player, like I was too small, at least from Celtic, however, too small. And they'd always class. I was now making my glinty in Celtic and he was always the one small, but he was superb. Didn't like quite get to the level he should have, but Alex Ferguson wanted to have met on the old mental house to try and sign him. It was always that same thing. I was too small. I'm like, the fuck? Too small? Okay. Do you have any history? Like, ridiculous. But for you, did you go, "What can I do about this?" Or did you just go, "Do you know what?" and go, "I don't like you." Yeah, I had the mentality of fuck you typing, I could just wear on it, yeah. Fuck you typing, I'm on a preview wrong. So then I went down the non-league pattern and, you know, signed for a non-league team, just local. Started in a couple of quid and then, yeah, kicked on from there. Which is funny in it, because it's like, "I don't know, you're too lightweight to play this level. I wouldn't play non-league, but it's way more physical." And I'm not too small for that. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go out out there a bit more time and space, a bit of buzzer in there. I'm trying to do that. They're looking easier to small, without giving you exposure to the environment, to see if you're too small. Do you know what I mean? Like, you go down the line and you say you're going to get passed about, and you need a reality deal with it. But too small, too lightweight, I get. But it's very easy. Like, you're talking about one year, and then something can pack on a bit more so about size, maturation, et cetera. But too small, like, what does that even mean? Unless you're a goalkeeper, I can see you understand in there, but are a set of half? Yeah. But is that even me? The too small? So small for what? Lightweight, you're just saying that, because you're high-performance, and you want everyone to attend. Yeah, it's too small. I'm saying, I'm not at all. I just know the conversations. For me, it's like, for a player who's young, it's just a player that's in Australia, specifically who I go overseas. I'm like, you need to put stacked and taking a favour. A few turn up there, and you'll lightweight, say, the shoes out phrase. It's an easy out for them to say that, why would I bring you on here, and you get you pack out all the muscle? You need to rest, you need to rest, as I push you turn up, you're a bit physical, you've got a bit of muscle. That's what people want, that's the characteristics of what people want in football. And for, yeah, right, right, my reason that S and C say the thing is a small piece of the puzzle, but you can argue to your blunderface about it. You need some wing muscle on you, you need a bit of strength on you, you need a bit of power, speed, blah, blah, blah, blah. So, just pying it off, it's going to just remove, it's going to give you less of a chance. So why not just remove that and do the fucking work? I know he's asking you if you're fucking bodybuilder, a powerlifter, a crossfit champion, just like, everyone does it for a reason. Resuming, some people do it for resuming, some people do it for strength and power and speed and explosiveness, some people do it just fucking love it, some people won't be mad meatheads, they won't be units. Whatever the reason, as long as it doesn't affect your football when it promotes your chance of actually giving itself a chance, like, why would you not do it, man? Remember the man came, I kind of lost his name, he came over for man United, and one of the cognizant, he was holding like trials or scouting, whatever, for man United. And the first thing he says is basically, they told us that they didn't even look at a player unless they were tall and bibbing in it. So he said not because it was his joint, his opinion, it was just that's what the clubs in the UK are looking for. So he's like, if I've got a guy coming over, if I've got a boy over here, he's like 18 and he's in six foot and he's got to be bit about him. Maybe he's expecting a little bit of a fucking unit, but he can tell he's a man, or he's got the attributes to be in that. Okay, actually that's what we're looking for, big physical, strong player, of course he's a technical tactical now. But that's just, let's keep bowing in, bowing in, he always has got bowing in, he's always like a fucking hell of an absolute man. And people, one of the boys on the team, Lummi, he played professional over in Asia and he says, we've played man sitting a friendly, and he's like a lot of the lines you see on TV, even the lines you look small, if you seem a person, you don't know if you can smell. He's like, they're still units. Like, what's the big guys on? Yeah, yeah, two or something ridiculous. But even the lines you look slight and tiny, if you seem a person they're not as small as they appear. They've still got that, they can tell, they're doing a bit, they're so strong and like nimble and all rich of it. But yeah, I think, it's a funny one, because at the same time you can just be a bad unit and be shy to fit though. The talent's a bit different, that's it, skill is kind of at the end of the day. But it's interesting mate, that's when you went to non-league, obviously that wasn't an issue, been too small or too lightweight. So what happened, what changed? Just a couple of ends to get kicked, like I said, yeah, you get kicked, like as a winger as well. I was playing against big, solid right backs, like, fat right backs as well. Like a team when you look at an old school football, so like, angles. Yeah, and yeah, just got kicked every week and it just made me stronger basically. Yep. It's done a lot of gym work, legs and try to bulk up a little bit. To, I think, compromise in terms of, I had the skill and I was quick and whatever, but I needed to roughing up. And, like, get kicked and bounce up and, you know, try to, in a way, learn we're getting kicked and still play. Yeah, yeah. Also, captain. Yeah. Oh, straight, straight, like the gym work and all that, all that stuff. That, that, that, that old job result. So if you're going to get kicked out of the game, your legs need to be strong and deal with it. Otherwise, you wouldn't want to see the lines, you're saying my legs dead again, being kicked. But that's, Charlie Austin, I remember having a podcast and he says that he had a chance to go, like, 16, 17. Yeah. A bell, a bell and a bell and a bell and a bell and a bell, but he says, he just continued playing men's football at 16, 17. This is the best day ever because he knew if he, he was around for the shooting score and basically, I'll shoot and hit the target, no matter what, it's quick as possible. Surely because he was so used to being younger and as soon as he took a touch, sometimes when he smashed it. Right. Because your young boy, so he says, get out, touch, shoot, touch, shoot, touch, shoot. Yeah. That's, that's like, those dark hearts. So, like, I didn't even know, I didn't learn and I was even getting that. But then, your other friends as well, like, as you, you'll find waves north to get kicked. If you do something three times, you get kicked three times. No. The whole time you're worth it. I need your shot. So nice again. Yeah. Oh, so good. Yeah. And then when you are, you are playing on Nick, you're what was over? Yeah. So, as a roofer for two years, I was, obviously, same as MPL over the year, playing twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday at the game on a Saturday. And then, yeah, roofing six a.m. till four o'clock in the afternoon, then going. So, I could have stayed to training Tuesday and Thursday, yeah. I'd rather be, but off because in June? Yeah. That's it. Now with that, that made me appreciate it a lot more as well. Like, being a, when I did 10 professional, like, even being semi-professional, I was still committed and given 100%, but, like, work came first, you know what I mean? At that time, which we both, at the time, was quite flexible. He was like, you know, if we've got a game tonight, for instance, have half a day off or he believed in me that I was going to, he only seen me doing roofing for a year or two because he knew my goal was to be a professional footballer. I wasn't going to leave any stone unturned early to try and get that. Yeah. Good minute. And then, you joined Southport? How did that come about? Again, the manager in the non-league team that I was at, he got the Southport job. Right. And he was, like, coming here with me, trying pre-season, you know, start the season here, but you won't be, you won't be a long-time thing if you, if you do what you're doing in the non-league system. So, yeah, went there. That's good. Now there was conference, conference north, maybe after that time. But, again, only two nights a week. Yes. This plays on a Saturday. I think I only played one game. I played all pre-season. We were playing, like, sort of, ever in Preston, Rochester, all teams like that. And then, around the north-west for pre-season. And then, first game of the season, for Southport. That's when Plymouth came in for me then. Very? Yeah. Most of us are so good to have your cat, I believe, in terms of, I'm taking it from you. Yeah, but you're not going to stay here because you're destined for better hands almost. Yeah, now he was, yeah, he was very good. I owe him a lot, really, because he was the one that said, "It's only a matter of time if you keep doing what you're doing." Yeah. You will get there, type of thing, and he knew, non-league, like, the back of his hand. So, if you're trying twice a week, non-league and Plymouth full-time? Plymouth is full-time? Yeah. Plymouth is full-time. There's been a championship at the time. So, you went from, "How'd you?" I was just going to say that. So, did you do it? So, if you're trying twice a week, doing a weekend, and, naturally, your gaffers saying, like, "You've got something, you've got a high level, and you probably believe in yourself." Well, you're doing anything. What were you doing in between those times? Obviously, you're gaffing, roughing or whatever. But what else were you doing? Like, trying them out, you're doing extras. Yeah, it was always, like, quite fit. I was in the gym most days, after work. But not in some decisions. No skill stuff, no extra sessions. So, just twice a week in game, twice a week in game? Yeah. That's mad for you. I think, like, the roofing. The roofing's off, yeah? Yeah, bulk control. Only when I was on Gerard's roof. Our name's off, that one. We're in jail, too, for you, yeah? Yeah, so, good story, actually. I was, the boss, I was roofing forward at the time. He was like, "Are you going to like the house that we're working on today?" And I was like, "Oh, yeah. Big mansion or something like that, whatever it is." Or it might be local. It saves driving two hours on to a different event. Oh, yeah, no worries. So, this is 10 to 6 in the morning when he's telling me. I'm like, "You just want to get back down in the van until we get to the site?" Anyway, it turns up this house, torn up another, just on the roof. As a note, big house, obviously, nice big house on the roof, working away about two o'clock in the afternoon. This Bentley pulls up, thrives up. I was thinking, "What's best for now, yeah?" Like, Gerard gets out of the car. And I was basically, I was working on Gerard's house, yeah? Yeah, for a few years, did you speak to him? Yeah, I spoke to him, yeah. And obviously his wife, now he's, she was very, very helpful, always, you know, coming out with cokes and sausage, or... Do you offer that roof? You're too small, go on that roof, Nick. Yeah, too lightweight. You know how yourself buddies went in. No, but that, yeah, even not, like, just talking to him and that, I was that sort of thing. Is that football? Yeah, I used to, like, just ask him, not advice, but, like, "What can you say to me?" He was aware that I had a play for Southport at the time as well, so, well, I think me boss told him. Oh, okay. "Is that me or Southport tracking on?" Yeah, "Ah, that's him!" And I hi-vis'd. Well, yeah, he was, obviously, very, very helpful, giving me advice, and then that goes back to why the story is good, because then, six months later, we played against him, sorry. Did he come up to you? How'd you want to go? Yeah, no, yeah, yeah. I kept in touch. I kept in touch, and he was, like, swapped shirts and all that. Oh, well, I got to go play 'em. Yeah, he looked after me, definitely. Have you ever smoked him since? Yeah. Yeah. Did you still speak to him? That's funny. Yeah, it's funny that I'm like, "Shap in five, just get him in!" Yeah. I was playing piano, unfortunately. Yeah. It doesn't make the cut. Yeah, I'm about to be able to imagine, you know, rock, and then, all of a sudden, like, "He's a boss, who's on the map?" I'd be there if not, didn't I? What is it like? I'd jump after it. Yeah. Classic stuff, funny, because even as I grew up in a man, and you see, yeah, like, to be fair, now I've, like, real with that. If I'm celty, I'm an employee by the mass. But the old school players who I used to love, like, him at Larson, I'd be so starstruck. Like, "Oh, my God!" Because all that nostalgia comes back to you then. I'm a boss out, man. And Bijera's opposite. Definitely. Ah, he's one of the best out of them. Yeah, he's the... *laughs* *chuckles* *chuckles* *chuckles* *chuckles* *chuckles* *chuckles* Okay, now. Erm, so, planets are gay. Do you play the Peter Club record for you to secure your services? Yeah, I think it was, like, 120 grand, I think. Pounds, which, obviously, back then, for the, for the non-league players that jump into the championship. It was a big fear. Probably got questioned a lot. How did you feel about the jump? Like, that's, that's massive, too. Yeah, surprise. Like... How did you balance roofing and full-time football? *laughs* Yeah, that was, that was hard, given the boss the phone. Yeah, he wasn't. He thought he wasn't. Yeah, he wasn't. He said it was inevitable when it was going to happen. And, like, the mentality, it was, "I'm going to do whatever it takes." So, yeah, that phone call was easy enough to, to say that I was late. I can buzz a match. I'm feeling, man. They did that. How did you feel when you obviously get excited, right? But, in terms of the job of leaving yourself in, like, I've got this, going to have that jump, or is it how you get, like, "Oh, this is big?" Yeah, no, I thought, because there's plenty of teams in the North West where Southport is, like, rotsdale, like, not, not in all the clubs, but lower league clubs. Yeah. And, I thought, maybe I'd get a sniff at one of them first. Yeah. But then, Plymouth, it was actually in the championship, the chance. It was a bit of an eye open, I thought. Yeah. 'Cause, Plymouth, I'm not sure if you know where Plymouth is, compared to Liverpool and the map. What is it? So, the fact that they was down there watching, watching me, would have been a... So, did they, did they scout you out with the German agent? They scouted me, yeah. Did you have an agent all the time? No. So, just they directly contacted you? No, they contacted Southport. Right, okay. The manager, who was going back to, about before, they contacted him, and he sorted me out with an agent then, and negotiated, and, yeah, it was, wasn't much to negotiate really. Yeah. Just, man. I know. Let's see. A rooster or championship player, yeah. So, it was a big jump, but, going back to the question, you know, I wasn't fazed at all. I thought, you know, me and I will give it a crack. And I think Rooney, Rooney mentioned it a few weeks ago, when he first trained with Evans. Oh, he's on the roadshite? He said the roadshite. No. So, then, when I'm going, when I, I'm not being disrespectful here, but when I went to Plymouth, I thought... Okay, this is not bad. I'm, I'm going to be alright, yeah. Yeah. I fancy this. Like, yeah, and it was, took me a bit of time to get, into the team, but then kicked on from there, yeah. Yeah. That's some fear, and I've gotten it trained. I'm like, "You're such a shite." No, I know. I wouldn't say shite. Of course, of course. If you were from part-time to full-time, you can even, two, twice of which are in part-time. In fact, if it were amateur, you wouldn't... This isn't how much I jump. Give me a couple of, any club, even if you've gone full-time to full-time, you need a few weeks to jail to get a sharpness back, blah, blah, blah, but that's classmate and superb. Because I take it there for selling his employment as well. So, what was their support? Yeah, he was actually. But that's what? Yeah, he wasn't great. He was poor at cabins and stuff like that. Yeah, man, it'd probably be more of a big score. It was at Lenore. It was at Swindon. And when I went down to visit him, I'd sort of take you to the training ground and you can meet some of the agencies that have bought the cabins. Yeah. A lot of it is. That's awesome. Unless they've got new facilities and, you know, bought a lot of... That sort of level is... There's poor cabins, yeah? Even Brighton, when I went to Brighton, they started off in poor cabins training at a university. Who's your guy for that? You're probably going to ask me later to do the best, man. I'm not telling you this. I'm not name's off anymore. Is that all right? So far, Gus Paul, Steve and Gerald, it's not bad. Yeah. Two decent players. Name's your own level, you're playing as well? Two years. Two years. And then from there, it was excellent. No, so when I was at Plymouth, I went on long-term stuff for a month. Right. Just to get some games. Yeah. That's a short one. Not long, yeah. I think the Plymouth wanted me to be involved in the first team, but realised that I needed the block of games to get myself ready, so they just sent me down the road to extra. Yeah. Played five games in a month. And then... Who's that? Next to, it was good setup, yeah? Yeah. I'm not going to tell you the manager was... Oh, come on. Now, but it was good. It was a good experience for me playing League Football. Like, there was in the league below me one at the time. Well, like, what did I get? You started at the time. Yeah. And then, yeah, just now they're enjoying me time there. Did you know what's that making improvement in yourself, going off your set from two next training to be in a national team? Yeah. Quite clear. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I think... ...Fitness is obviously a massive issue. Yeah. But when you even see it and go back to MPL, you see a difference already, like, when we play Sydney FC or Wanderers, et cetera. The X, that's the one thing I'm doing today. It's so fit. This was extra two nights. So, I think it's a big fucking massive difference, man. Massive difference. Yeah. Right. And in full-time, you remove, right, like, you're a bit good example. Hi. I'm no longer graphing a fucking riffle right now, so I can recover. Yeah. I can go to gym, I can line the couch, I can get better. I can get better. I've got better clarity, mental clarity. I'll maybe... You'll earn the training seconds in a little bit better. You're less stressed. Like, that's completely ignored. Or just the training time. Because if you try to train all those mornings and then go on riff, I'm going to riff every fucking afternoon and then try to get to the gym. And then fucking hell, man. You can't train like it. If you're part-time fit, well, you can't train like an elite player. It's too hard. I was just laughing at it because you said, "An equal riff." Er, but how did you... Oh, what was your say? Go on riffing? Riffing? Riffing? What did you say? "Maw down, wait, riff." Riffing? [Laughter] Riffing? Erm, class meet and then, I'll be here two years at Plymouth, because it's very moveable. Yeah, Brighton, yeah. It's good for you, it's not me. [Laughter] Now we played against... So, our Plymouth, we played against Brighton. Mm-hmm. And he came up to me at the end of the game. Oh, you've got to have a boy with us? Yeah. Well, I'm not in the patch, are you up to you? I think I'm a person. [Laughter] So, yeah, he came up to me and I was a bit star. So, I thought I was like a... Chelsea legend, sort of thing. He's a class man. He basically said to me, like, "Ask me a few questions. I will, am I?" And, like, said that he's interested in me. Not poaching me, but... It's a stranger danger. [Laughter] Yeah, not poaching me, but basically said that we're going to come in for you. Like, would you be interested? And I was like, fuck. 100th, then. [Laughter] No, it seems great. It seems great. The day was in the league one at the time. I said, "Oh, go over there. Thank you." Obviously, massive change now in a club. Yeah. So, there was in league one at the time, and then I went there in... January, and then played the remainder of the league one season, and we won the league, got promoted, into the championship, then. I was a part of it. Like, man. Good year, Vegas. Oh, yeah. What did you say? Yeah, magic, man. On the club, I'd take it. Yeah. So, there... I know... So, my mate was... the league one, played off a final round in the middle. And... I remember I was saying it was like... The salaries were all going to double. They were going to mad trick. I don't know if it was vague. It was something mad like that as well, man. And I remember just... Is that playing a... Obviously, a human, but... going out in a game, saying, "You know, you're the one that you get promoted, and you're thinking, you're turning a lot... I'm going to mad so... by being a success week. You think? Yeah. Of course, actually, man. I'm not saying. It's definitely, I think... It's a bit of motivation for the boys as well. And of course, Albert. Vegas, boys! That's very... 20 minutes. Oh, for now, you man. Yeah. Now, but... it's definitely a big motivation, yeah. Right. Of course, that's mine. But, obviously, to play championship football is the biggest one. Oh. Going from league one to... to the championship. The time, but we had a good team. Did you play with the... Did you just go straight up with Brayden? Yeah, we were going to leave the only hockey. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Oh, it's mine. You want to help us play as a manager? Very good. RGP? Very good. No. No, very good. All right. Yeah. Very good. It is last club was the greatest national team, I think. Oh. Yeah, I'm not sure. Oh, I'm going to go up now. And... most of the time? Just... the first manager that I've seen playing out from the back. Oh, really? Sure goal kicks in that. I'm used to being in a long league and... Yeah. Long balls and tactical days and some of the sessions. It was all like... playing out from the back, like... movements, you know. It was tactical knowledge of the game. It was... It was crazy. Yeah. I don't know. Is there any more just now? It was a grease last. That was all it's got. Yeah. Great. It was a great game. It was a great game. It was a great game. It was a great game. It was a great game. It was a great game. It was a great game. It was a great game. Yeah. It was a great game. Very good. And then you were at... Brighton for everyone? Two years as well. Anyone who was Brighton... who were you at Brighton squad by? Who was the first one? Oh, he was a young boy coming off. Yeah. Oh, he was a young. Did you play much for you at that time? Yeah, he was... Yeah. Stand out. I fell back. Yeah. And Poeth, obviously. He probably was a lot of Poeth from his... the way he plays out from a back in that, you know what I mean? 'Cause... he won't, man. Like, I don't speak to him now. He was just in the show, bit of it. He won't mind me saying that he wasn't like... Oh, technically, yeah. Technically, he's not playing out from the back. But at Brighton, that's all we've done. Like, just played out from the back. Everything was playing between lines and stuff like that. And he came on a lot there, even though he was a young lad. Yeah. Yeah, he was probably the standout. And I was being... ever since. He's been there since. I see. That's a fair amount of time. Yeah. Well, that's probably helped him because now obviously when... I mean, to go up... to go up. Obviously, you could... 'Cause that was always a conversation. I remember, like, with another group. It was like, big loose dunking a back, playing out. But you forget you had that foundation. We had Poeth, taught him a lot of the... or improved the technical side of the game. And even though, like, the managers that have been before, they'll be part of it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. They've all played... They've all played. Oh, yeah. I don't know if that's the philosophy of what they want. But when you were there to know Brighton... I've got a wee bit of it. They've had a bit of it. They've had a different approach. It's not asked 10 years in terms of how they... like, they've obviously done very well with the way they've developed the club. But it'll be the treatment developed next year. So, would you see the foundations of that when you were there? Yeah. Right. I think... The first season was in league one. And we got promoted. And then once we got promoted, the gym was like... Let's get going. We got a brand new stadium. We were still training at the old training grad, but got a brand new stadium, brand new training facility. You know, the recruitment was better. The players that they were bringing in, they were spending more money in the championship at the time. Mm-hmm. It was like, you could tell the gym was like... We're gonna... We're gonna keep going, yeah. It's exciting, and that's good. That's good. Nice place to go for play as well, obviously UK. It's not a lot of brilliant locations, especially for a foreign player, but Brighton's a nice wee place to go as well. Lovely place, yeah. Lovely place to live. And then after Brighton. Boom. Now Cardiff first. Cardiff. Yeah, Cardiff from Brighton. Two years. And then I went to... From there to Cardiff City. And how did you find Cardiff? Good, yeah. Very good. That was probably the most successful as... Why did you leave? Do you get signed or did you leave? So Brighton was nice. Got signed, yeah. Brighton was mid-table in the championship at the time. And Cardiff was in and around playoffs and pushing for promotion. And they tried to sign me January previously. And they couldn't, for four other periods, and Brighton didn't want to let me go. But I was itching to, because I wanted to play in the Premier League, obviously. They were basically pushing me and pushing me. And I was like, "Let's get this done early." Because we... same again. I always had those strains, like... The games that I've played against, the teams that I've moved to... It was probably motivated me to make them move, if you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah. At the time it was Brighton. Oh, sorry. At the first time it was Plymouth, and we played Brighton. And I knew there was a bit of interest, so it motivated me a bit more to, like, "I'm gonna have a good game here." Like, they might say me type thing. And then, again, the same at Cardiff happens. We was playing... Brighton was playing Cardiff. And I was like, "All right, I'm gonna have a good game here. Give myself a chance. Show them what I'm about, type thing." And, yeah, I had a good game against them, and then... Start. He tried to slam me in January for that same season. Never ends up happening, and then he slammed me. Then the following season. And I knew it was a courtship, Cardiff. Malcolm Mackay. How was it? Yeah. He was going to make Celtic. How was he? And he liked to play his role there or not? Yeah. He was a centre-off for any, so he was play, play, play. But then, if you've got her heads in, kick her. No, no, no. He had like kids. Like, okay. But he, you know, have we got a controversy, Cardiff? Text message or something? Yeah, it's fun. I think it's hacked. Something like that. Like the owners. I can't remember. There's just some sort of controversy around, I don't know. There's racial or sexual or something like that anyway. But I remember he got, that's why he got sacked. I think it was a knock. Yeah. You're having a hand, huh? Yeah. I've got a hand. I've got a hand. Nah, it was, yeah, it was the night before the Liverpool game, actually. Oh, really? It got sacked the next day, yeah? Yeah, yeah. That's not good then, yeah. So, you were saying to Cardiff, when they were in the championship? Yeah. Start of a fresh season. Right, okay. So then you played full season. Yep. And it was your first season you got promoted? Yeah. Do you remember that experience? Yeah, that was, that was crazy. Obviously, playing the big part in it as well. I think I played 37 games or 38 games in that season. We first season at Cardiff. Yeah. You can't even explain, like, we were scraping by, like, so you referred to that Rockdale, you were talking about them big games, not so much big games, but the important ones. Yeah. Yeah. You listed three before and then... What was this, but it wasn't beginning, it's happy. That was us, like, every week. So we'd scrape by 1-0 or, you know, we'd be down 2-1 and 1-3-2. We never smashed teams, but we were... Good points. Yeah, we got the points and we knew we were going to win every week. We felt like. Yeah. And then, yeah. Who was in that team that stand out? So, obviously, you've had a good season, but who else was in that team in that team? There was a lot of Scottish players, actually. Yeah, Tom Cowie. Hi. Craig Conway. Yep. If you don't do anything, click on me. And he was. Yeah, he was, yeah. Who else? Kevin McNaughton. Oh, who's good for? David Marsh, who was in goal. Thank you for, eh? Erm... I hired a Helgeson, a slaker. Yep. Yeah. Fraser Campbell. Slaker. Hi. Hi. Who else? Peter Whittingham, who's probably asked that. My God, who had addressed this all, now he passed away. A couple of years ago. And who did Markey get you promoted? Yeah. Markey got us up, yeah. Right. And Markey was very good, hard. Yeah. But fair as well. And he's been back to Vegas? Yeah, we went back to Vegas, yeah. So, going back, I said, right? He says you sang for Cardiff one million. Yeah. I think it was 1.2 with add-ons or something like that from... And that was in the point where you got 10%. Yeah. (LAUGHTER) Go on the agents, I'm glad. (LAUGHTER) Class. And back to Vegas, did you just win? Did you just win? We won, yeah. We won there. No, you're not. You've not played in playoffs? No. That's one thing. It's just, you know, like, you went away and I think we were like, playoffs were pretty good as well. Yeah, I would have liked to have played in the playoffs. Yeah, with Brighton, we went up all the matter and Cardiff, we romped the league like we was up with five games to go, I think. Did you find a big definition between League one and Championship? Yeah. Yeah. In terms of bit more quality, like, there was physical league, one was physical. Championship was obviously a bit more quality. I haven't worked back, now. Like, X, Premier League players dropping down or, you know, stand out players in Championship that have been around for years. Yeah. You're going to that Championship. I'll try to get back at it as a fucking nightmare in my mind. Yeah. But it's good, some good teams, good, good, good teams. Great ones, yeah. Good TV. You see a lot of TV about it as well. So it's, yeah, it's well watched. So good, do you watch a lot of it, though? Yeah. I'm being sports, actually. Well, right. Yeah, see me pumping, man. I have a rebel. [LAUGHTER] I do, yeah, I do watch a lot of football in general. What's the point of Championship? Card. Yeah, you still have a card of fun. Yeah. Okay. So card of Liverpool and Hibbs? Yeah. Three-shite teams on volleyball. [LAUGHTER] And then, actually, she's going to get promotion, mate. How was the Premier, shit? Yeah, it was, the parties went on for a while after promotion. Did I? So, would you have been to Vegas? I love it. In August, I think we've done five days in LA and five days in Vegas, yeah. Five days? You've done five days in Vegas after five, isn't it? Yeah. Ah, magic. We did last year, one night in LA and five in Vegas, and it was probably after one day six, shall I, right? Yeah. That's enough. Tens of me shifting. Yeah, it was a proper trip. Like, it was good, though. We had, like I said, we had the great time. The parties was crazy, but, and then, you knew once that trip was over, then, you're going into, you're going into a Premier League? Who was a mad, mad people on the night out? Who card of team, I think? Me? Apart from you. You're scared. You're scared. So, I might assume that. Nah, there was a few, yeah. You've spent a few Scottish lads on the team, because usually Scottish lads are a lot less. Yeah. Kev McNaughton, was it a bit of a loose one, yeah? Craig Conway was loose, and... Was it? Yeah, when he, when he wanted to be. Erm, who else? Peter Oderwinger, you remember that? Yeah, he was mad. He was crazy. And then we had other good players that let their head down as well when the time was right, but majority quite sensible. And as soon as you came back to Vegas, was it like, heads good on? Yeah, pre-season. Yeah. I think we still had six weeks off, or whatever, but everyone was in the same way of thinking that. What year was that? 2011? Was it, or '12? Oh, what's it been? 2013? 2013? 2013. 2013? 2012? So, it was 2013, season starting? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. So, it was one year he played the net. Obviously, it's natural, big improvement in level. Yeah. The championship. Obviously, not a link one year, but championship, big difference. Yeah. Yeah, very. Like I said, physical, better quality players. Um, just, you're playing against, like, Premier League teams that have been relegated really, so it was, it was always a grand where ever you went home all the way, you know what I mean? Mm-hmm. But, now the championship, like, can't speak highly enough with the league because they've played the net for so long, but it's, it's a grand. Yeah, yeah. Proper, proper grand. And the championship is just less than a lot? Yeah. That's basically everything into one and even higher. That's what I was saying again. Come back to you, I've seen it with the physicality. I can, like, imagine you're going in that and still having a mentality like that. I don't care. I don't have to be, I can be lightweight, but you've got lads like the Jared's. You fucking guarantee he's strong. Yeah. If I don't guarantee he, like, I don't know. Like, so if you look at what we saw, they better meet football. And he, like, but now he's faster, he's stronger, he's more powerful than me. I can make a chance. Yeah. You need to give yourself some sort of a fucking match up wherever you can. Because it's going to be very difficult to close that skill gap. Yeah. And try to outwot them, outwostle them, whatever it might be. And you put it up like, obviously, you'd put it against Jared. Yeah. Get out of your chat to him again now. Yeah. Yeah. A few times, actually, yeah. Obviously, we played them home and away. And then, not just Jared, they'll be playing against Liverpool in general. Oh, I'm probably on shoot. Amazing atmosphere, yeah. Like, Japanese. Did your mom and dad go to game? They made some effort. Oh, yeah. Sit down. In the car. How did you play when you played that? It's all right, yeah. I got the chance to make it 1.0 to us as well. Oh. Yeah, Mingalay tipped it over the bar, I think. I think it was Mingalay at the time. Yeah. Tipped it over the bar. Did you celebrate with your schools? [LAUGHTER] People was asking me that I was celebrating that if I scored and I'm like, "Of course, of course, of course." Yeah. You know what, sir. Even though it's out, I'm filled with money. Of course, man. It's Liverpool, but... Yeah. And I was, I had to go game. And a cliché question, who's best player you put against in the Premier League? [SIGHS] He's obviously have a lot of direct opponents, but has anyone even... Ashley Cole was probably... Oh, fuck. [INTERPOSING VOICES] He's left back in terms of... Connect. Right. Probably the best loose, maybe Suarez. Oh, he's got a shot. Right, when he was at. Unbelievable. That season, I think it was. That's a cool body. He was... He's got arguably one of the best left backs in a long time. Yeah. He was phenomenal, man. How did you find playing against him? Tough, yeah. Tough, yeah. Very tough. Because he's not, again, he's slight. Yeah. He's strong, good. Yeah, clever. Differentially... Two, one over. He's not, yeah. Very good. Yeah, one over to the other, English, yeah. [LAUGHTER] [INTERPOSING VOICES] I don't care if I'm standing up. [LAUGHTER] Two last class will be in terms of, like, when you're a weak guy, you're a Roberto fan. If someone told you, you would play it and if you would not... Not even... It's an express thing, isn't it? Yeah, you can't play for Liverpool, but... Yeah. You've played that amateur play in a Premier League game, and that's mostly with Dune's and Middle League. Yeah. That's a good one. He's an experience. So, John, that was when Markey was sacked? Yeah. Just the night before Liverpool... Oh, that game was OK. He got wind of him getting sacked the night before, but then... Yeah. The game was out the way, and he got sacked at full time, basically. Oh, Liverpool game, yeah. Yeah, but was that a little happy through the season or something? Yeah. I think it was around January or Christmas. I think it was around January or Christmas. Oh, yeah. I think it was around February. Oh, he got a soul-scare. Oh, how was that? Yeah. I can't remember him doing Cardiff. How did he go? Not great. No. We got relegated, obviously. But... It's not a tough game in the season, almost. Yeah. But he was good coach as well. Yeah. You tried to create some decent coaches? Yeah. Yeah. No. I can't do this. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, my guy, he's all shot. Yeah. Yeah. Coach, have you, from you as a coach, have you learned to gain from former coaches? I've tried to take a bit from all of them, yeah. Mm-hm. Yeah. In terms of, you know, my big tactical stuff or some, like, we mentioned, I think we was off here when we spoke about it, but the playing, prepping 10 versus 11 and 11 versus 10. Yeah, yeah. That was quiet. Yeah. Malice Macais, old school mentality type things, like, no gloves or... The people's region. (LAUGHTER) Gloves or snoods or beanies or something. I'm fine. I like that. Training grand or... Yeah. And then SoulSka have to talk a bit from him. So what's up, I coach your social. Like, you see, somewhat like, Paul, you're not going to play it at the back, or was he different style? He was more of a... A lot of his staff don't know all the way. So, he seems like a man manager. Social. And SoulSka was the talk, yeah. The manager. The effects of that manager. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I thought that's quite a good game. That would have been the manager, because it... Oh, you would know a bit better than us too, but being an actual... An NPL coach at a first-end coach where you have to do... Everything the coach is managing the recruitment bar, man. Yeah. Tough, man. The future goal is to make sure these players... I don't want them available and make sure they're all happy. Or one that gets 100% on game day. That's... Right. [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] More seasons. >> Yep. >> Tried to get promoted. >> Yep. >> Again. >> My hundred and so many other people today. Pecada, is that yeah? If you went back to Cardiff right now just walking through the city, that would be been noticed. >> I'd say so, yeah. I'd say so, yeah, cuz I had the good relationship with the fans there. And I was probably, well, I was the longest time I've been on a club six years. >> I had on something else, but some people don't do it all at five years, six years. >> So, six seasons of Cardiff are 170-ish, yeah, 168. Six seasons I asked, and so I'm going to call it. And then you said you went to a few years at Cardiff. >> I stayed at Cardiff six years and then I left Cardiff. >> I believe you. >> Just time. >> Just time, yeah, one, one of course the manager at the time. And he loved me as well. >> Yeah. >> That's a good relationship with him, but. >> New one was your gaffer? >> Yeah. >> How is he? >> I'm taking the piss again. >> Another one, I can't mention a gaffer without, like, I said no one was your gaffer. >> No, I'm scared to the, I think there's only a couple more left, so I've only got a few more left for mention. >> No, I'm just surprised because I'm not surprised to use a gaffer, he's a good character on football. >> Very good. >> So, he's curious about what I'm saying? >> No, he's legends. >> Yeah. >> Because obviously coach with so many videos of him did that and he goes back. In terms of what he actually is like, is a, from a football perspective, how does he coach, what's his style like? >> Manager-type thing, isn't he? >> Manage as well, okay. >> Yeah, poor. >> Was he 30 stories about him? >> Yeah, loads, yeah. He was like, you know, the videos you see on YouTube or Instagram or whatever, that was every day. He'd done something every day, yeah, he was brilliant. >> All right, good, good, good, good. >> Just, so, we was all in a little one day and he went, my wife, she hadn't, she hadn't done a dream last night, that you scored. >> You scored? >> Yeah, pointing at me, you scored. So you're playing tomorrow? >> It was just out in the way, it was like, yeah, she hadn't done a dream last night that you scored, so you're playing, you're in, you, you were shot, you're not in, but he was, he was so like, just off the cuff, you know what I mean, everything, the sun, different every day. >> I love that, man. >> And the lads just loved him, like, you can see why all those teams have done well because he had played for him, and I'm happy, yeah. His man management skills were unbelievable, like tough as chilting him, like, on a Tuesday morning. Tuesday was the first day of chilting, when we was at Cardiff, and it was only like 45 minutes away. We'd rock up at training, ready to go to training, and he was like, nah, chirp training, boys, biking and egg rolls, get your suits on, we're going on the races, bro, took us out, took us to the races, like, all day in Cheltenham, we had Wednesdays off, normally, so. >> So you had a few drinks? >> Yeah, he was feeding us them, yeah, basically, yeah. >> Oh, yeah, dream last night, you were Stephen, you were Stephen, you were a pain for you. >> My management was definitely the best that worked on the end. >> That was funny, man. >> Character. >> He's a big character, we went to have a beating last year to see that. >> Yeah. >> Didn't do it, although, thank you for a bit of a jolly, and you try to take him to the end of the race season. >> I think it was the final, or... >> But he got sacked, he got sacked, he got sacked, lost, he was able to beat him when I found him, but he got sacked before that, because it was a bit of a... >> I was about to carry on. >> I was about to carry on. I didn't give up your thing, he was going to be a jolly, and then he quickly realised that he was quite hard. >> He took a few players there, they were always takes a few players with him, he took Junior Hoyleth. >> Oh, okay, absolutely, that's right, he has to put it on, if I can't answer, I don't know. >> He was a card for us for years, yeah. >> You're a good player? >> Yeah, but he had an acupia, I took him to card, he was a very good player, poor. >> Same thing on the plate, Celtic. >> Yes, of course. >> Junior Hoyleth's just got up with two goals, nice, wasn't it, nice, that's right. >> Yeah. >> He actually played quite well. And after the warm up, he went, "No, I'm going to ask you about your list, am I okay?" >> Oh, yeah, that was it, yeah, so you had to just add that on this conversation with one, like he basically said, "You're not part of me, you're not going to start every week-type thing." And I was like, "Yeah, fair enough, thanks for the conversation, chance to meet back to have a house in Liverpool area for 10, 12 years at the time." And then I'd never lived in it, because obviously Plymouth, Brighton, six years a card, 10 years at this house, and I'd never lived in it. So the opportunity to go to Bolton, which is 50 minutes from this house I have in Liverpool, I was like, spirit of an all-brainer, two-year contract, you know, I had a championship at the time as well. And you went and was on that? >> No, that was just before it. >> Oh, okay. >> So Phil Parkinson was the manager? >> Oh, yeah, okay, yeah. >> He was, so he saw me here for two years and then, yeah, just the chance of, that was the conversation with one, really, you know, you can stay, you've got a six months left on your contract, or you can, you can go, go and live at home and get a decent contract at Bolton. So he decided on that, spent two years at Bolton, yeah. >> How was Bolton? Because he had a few extra finances, finances, ain't he? >> Yeah, it was still like, we went months, no, not really, because it's all clear, it's up by the time I was leaving, but yeah, we went like six months at a time, not getting paid, like, PFA got involved a few times, yeah, it was tough for the players, like, players couldn't even afford to get to signing, like young lads couldn't afford to get to signing, but despite all that, we was, we had a good group and stayed up on the last day. >> Oh, nice. >> Yeah, 94th minute winner, I think. >> Three weeks again. >> [LAUGH] >> Yeah, what did we do, actually, I think we just stayed on the course. >> That would've been a great feeling to be there. >> Well, yeah. >> It's a funny one, we're about to be even low for MPL, so, you know, I was like, it's funny, I feel like I'm all in pain, like, we're not going to, we kind of make playoffs. And obviously, it's never been nearly bottom of the league, but I've sort of rather be in this position where you get something to play for, it feels more exciting. It's supposed to be full of it mid-table when, like, I feel like you're in football, for all these big exciting games, well, it's obviously the risk is much higher. >> Yeah. >> But the buzz, it's funny because you're out celebrating, like, you're celebrating coming, like, fucking fourth ball, I mean, but it's like, song feeling, it's not amazing at the drawings. >> I was up there with, like, getting promoted, actually. >> The relief? >> Yeah. >> I've been out there now, so. >> Because we needed results to go our way as well, and we was down in the game a couple of times, and then, yeah, to score a ninety-third minute winner, I think it was to stay up, Adam Wilberham. >> I don't know what that is, you know? >> Okay, yeah. >> Who's in Bolton, say that, say, big names, all in Craig, then, obviously. >> No, Bolton. >> Adam Wilfonser? >> I haven't. >> Think of it. >> I mean, earlier. >> Yeah, yeah. >> I think he's got a good score. I haven't scored goals. All the team, man. >> David Waitress, Annabelle. >> Is that good, perhaps? >> Yeah. >> Roger, I don't know. >> Yeah. >> I don't know about it. >> I don't know about it. >> I don't know about it. >> I don't know about it. >> I don't know about it. >> Yeah. >> Because then, I was working with us, and it said to you, your same season at Bolton, you played 36 games. >> Yeah. >> And then your left? >> Well, that was me, contracted, ran out, so I was a free agent. >> Oh, who are you up on? >> 30. >> Yeah. >> 30 won? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Right. >> A bit of a random one, actually, like some agent got in touch. >> Yeah. >> I had options to go to Hull, and another league one team at the time. >> I could follow, certainly. >> Yeah, it was Melbourne at the time. >> I remember the day, like, going on to the misses, and I was like, yeah. We're out of contract at the time, like, out of contract. There's a couple of clubs interested agent sitting at me. This agent calls me, and he basically just says Melbourne City are interested, and I'm like, didn't think too much about it, not another. He won't need to go into Manchester City's training ground in Manchester, and they're going to do a bit of a presentation on what the clubs like, and, you know, part of the city football group type thing. So, it went to Man City's training ground. Obviously, you go in there and you're like, wow, this is Man City. >> This is one of the cabins of the world. >> Yeah. >> And then, yeah, it went in there, did a big presentation on Melbourne, and then went on. Before it went there, actually, a phone call to the front of the agent was like, oh, Melbourne City interested, so I went on to all the misses. There's two teams, a hole that interested in me, and Melbourne. She went, the only Melbourne I know is in Australia. I went, yeah, that's the one. >> That was a reaction. >> She was like, oh, my God. And then, yeah, took a bit of time, but ended up starting on Melbourne. >> Yeah. >> And then, being here since, yeah. >> Yeah, it was Melbourne. >> Melbourne was good, yeah, very good. Good training facilities, well, well-run club. >> Yeah. >> And, obviously, successful on the pitch as well. Played a lot of games, you know, won trophies there, so I can't complain. I think it was a good move in the end. >> So, do you want to lead one championship? Do you want any cops? >> Not in England, no. >> No, no, no. And, obviously, Australia, they won the league. >> Yeah, nice. Nice. So, 36 games. Is that right? >> I was playing as games at Booth. >> Ah, okay, sorry. >> I am Booth. Before you went to Melbourne, then two years at Melbourne? >> Two years at Melbourne, yeah, one cop beating there. First year, we got beaten the Australia Cup in the final. Against Adelaide, and lost the grand final. >> Of the LA, of the LA to send me FC. So, that was a bit of a blow. >> Yeah. >> And then, the second year, we won the double, yeah. >> How are you? >> Won the league and the grand final. >> Yeah, I'm fine. >> I'm here. >> I'm here, I'm major. >> Man, I'm here. >> Watch it. >> Yeah. Not bad. I don't like that. >> Well, actually, that's interesting because you're MPO2. I was just thinking as my head was the top of MPO2. Actually, MPO2 is, in my opinion, the best league in terms of, it's got, for use. If you use one league this year, it's massive. You get promoted, automatic. Officially, the title winners, there is no grand final. There is no, you're not really the winners. We are the winners, but it's rock deal. When the league, everyone will be spoke to MPO once so fast. And yeah, don't like, and this is coming from the players. Like, yeah, we won it, but it's going to be forgotten about very quickly. It's who wins that final. MPO2 I do think should have finals, because there's too many teams in that league that have anything to play for. But it's a good dish here, like you boys, winning the league is everything. Because you were straight up, man. It's massive. Do you think that we'll be thinking about it to show you? >> Yeah. Big talent and mentoring. Even, like, winning the league with Melbourne City, it didn't really feel like anything. >> I feel like, yeah. So, like, Camden, mate. [laughter] >> Going to St. Kilden instead. [laughter] >> No, but yeah, that was, that was probably, I think, a bit of a blow. Like, winning the league, but not feeling like you won the league. It's going to have to back it up in the grand final. >> It's taught me to seem like such a long fucking, like, day in, day out. So I'm not for training for the weekend, winning, but, and you get to the end. Yeah, it's just like, no, no, it's just, like, qualified. >> Yeah. >> Pulling it mad. >> What the fuck? >> No. >> When you're at, what the fuck? [laughter] You see some of those games? >> Yeah. >> It is a funny, it's an interesting one. We spoke with you quite a lot. >> So, after you won the double at Melbourne City, you came loose? >> Yeah. So, I left. >> Well, I'm sure. >> Me contact again was up to, I had the two-year contact in Melbourne City. >> So, do you want me to stay? >> Do you want me to stay? >> Do you want me to stay? Yeah. But the only offered me a year. >> Right. >> And then into, like, a coaching role type thing. >> Yeah. >> Where I thought I can. >> Put a reminder. >> Yeah. >> And, pulls off of me two years. >> No. >> Playing clear. >> Yeah. >> Anti-military time was the one that signed me. I had a conversation with him. Why I was still in Melbourne at the time and, yeah, it came here. Being here since. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> And then, do you think, I actually go here. You play for two years on the good stuff. Do you think you do a kid playing? >> Yeah. I feel like it's a lot more. >> Yeah. >> Do you mix that? >> I haven't got regrets because I'm loving what I'm doing now. >> Yeah. >> But, and all of it's still playing, you know what I mean? >> Yeah. >> Like. >> Well, I think playing the player one comes away. Alien gives up. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Seriously. >> You go through, obviously, both in Cardiff and you come and you play in the LA. Was it easy? >> Not easy. That's the wrong word. But, in terms of, did you feel like that? >> Yeah. >> This is alright. >> No, because I never had that mentality of coming here for the lifestyle. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> So, that's basically why, going back to the regrets about not carrying on. I had options to carry on. Like, I had an offer in India. I had an offer in Singapore. >> Okay. >> Just last, last year. Because I probably went back to England and played lower leagues there. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, that's basically why. Going back to the regrets about not carrying on. I had options to carry on. Like, I had an offer in India. I had an offer in Singapore. >> Okay. >> Just last, last year. Because I probably went back to England and played lower leagues there. But, I thought it was the right time to start the coaching journey because it's something that I've always been passionate about. And then, thankfully, obviously, I'm grateful to MacArthur for the opportunity. >> Yeah. >> But, I knew if I was carried on playing for the sake of one more year in India or Singapore, then this offer might not have been there. >> It's right. >> It's gone, yeah. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. I'm grateful for the opportunity and I've been happy about this. >> Yeah. Coach's education in UK, I'll show you. >> I don't know why I was at Cardiff, actually. >> Oh, yeah. Good. Good. >> With the Welsh F.I. >> Oh, yeah. The Welsh one is a Scottish one. And we're just not going to go Scottish. But the Welsh one is Scottish one. A lot of clubs from coaches from all over Europe go just for the Welsh one. Or the Scottish one. >> Yeah. >> Pretty good standard, apparently. >> Yeah, it is very good, yeah. So, I've done that when I was at Cardiff. Twenty-six, I think I was twenty-seven when it was me. >> So, you knew that you wanted to go into coaching? >> Yeah. Yeah. I wanted to stay in football, like, forever and ever, yeah. >> Yeah. I know I stay in football. Even me and I have a professional in it. But when you're in it, man, it's just so class, isn't it? >> Yeah. >> Nice. It's just the best thing I've ever had. And looking at your coaching here, what's your aspiration and what's your idea that I want to? >> Again, yeah. I think you've got to have the same mentality as you did when I was a player, like, to be able to go as far as I can, really. >> Right. >> I think, especially in coaching, I know it's a bit cliché, but, like, all the best managers and coaches to learn sort of every day, whether that's about themselves, football-related, like, how to manage players and, you know, people. It's just, it's never ending early. Like, at football, obviously, you get to a certain level where you've maximized everything else about it. Like, you give all 1% and you commit and you'd be the not take yourself off, but in coaching, I think. >> There's always something else. >> There's always another. >> Yeah. >> Because, obviously, you're playing careers. It's only 20 years or 25 years where a coaching is going to be for the next 30, maybe. >> Yeah, of course. >> You know what I mean? >> Do you feel like I'm almost, like, a novice again? >> Yeah. That's what I like. I'm going to get from it is, like, this is the start of it coming. >> Yeah, appreciate it. Now, looking back, you're clear. I mean, obviously, I've done multiple categories and socials. Even there's a South Portland, like, how hard that is and about details and stuff they told players you think, he was fucking right. >> I've said that to a lot of players recently. Like, not just the players that I worked with today, but any players or me mates back home who still play for car, different stuff, and, like, you know what, you just used to turn off a turn at nine o'clock and then you go out on the pitch and it's everything's done. Four year cones out, balls are out, like, you just turn up, turn and get off. >> I don't understand that. Now I appreciate the amount of work that coaches do and, like, the preparation, like, even the video sessions and planning sessions, like, so much work, so, yeah. I give it a lot of credit to the coaches that I've previously worked under that I haven't probably given enough credit for. >> Yeah, thank you. >> You see football completely different. You see football completely different, but for a different lens. >> Yeah, you do, yeah. >> Like, if you had the coaching lens on as you have played, you'd probably be a much better player because you look at the game, you can play a different, but obviously there's emotional maturity and emotional intelligence not involving that as well, because a lot of you need to remove the emotion you look at, the actual moment or the picture you're looking at. But, coaching is, like, I've played with a lot of players, I think, but you've done me on the 20s and you got a table through the licenses, even if you didn't want to be a coach. It's still, it's still learn a lot from knowing, like, the processes that involve in it because you go, fuck, actually. And he's talking to you go, I know he's coming from. That makes more sense to me. You might not agree with it, but I think a lot of players, if they can see it from that, they're definitely improving their game. >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Can you say, man, well, what was the question? I want you to ask, from your side, what's the best goal? Do you feel you scored? Maybe not the best goal, what's your favourite goal? >> Probably the Man City one in the Premier League. >> It was my favourite, but best goal was probably only last year or the year before, I think. >> You won't be in that room? >> Yeah, it seems like most players, yeah. It didn't mean as much as it was only to make a 3-3, but that was technically quite, and that was probably the best goal of score. >> You're my second goal? >> Yeah, that's my favourite, like, because it was just family league. >> Family goals, yeah. >> Class. >> And it was to make it one-one at the time we went on to get slapped, but, like, yeah, yeah, I thought I scored in the great-offs, but I think we just lost 4-2, I think it was a 4-1. But that moment to make it one-all is, like, closing. >> Yeah. >> Did you have another one to close? [Laughter] >> I don't know about that. It's been a tough thing. >> Yeah, yeah. >> [Inaudible] >> That was a play of me. Last question, I brought for you, obviously, before you gave me the goal. >> Yeah. >> A point of two points off, top? >> Two points off, yeah, it was still to play. >> Very confident, yeah. >> Last year? >> Yeah, definitely. I think it's- >> It's in our hands. >> It's in our hands, yeah, because we're playing on through it. >> Yeah. >> That's the only thing. But we've got a difficult run-in, like, no cramps about that. >> So, so, you guys? >> I got four. >> Mind you up. >> Right on me at this weekend. So, right on the end, Saturday, Hughes, you know, follow me, you know, through the week after, and then last game of the season, the Chicago. - Is that a hymnsa? - A hymnsa? - A hymnsa. - At our place. - Yeah. - A month through the game, is that their place? - Yeah. - Poppinsata, is that it? - Poppinsata. - It's a good thing. - It's a good thing. - It's a good thing. - It's a good thing. - I think you'll be able to let that in, post it in the streamer, one meter, you can not only hit the gym, it's authentic, try to keep it good. - And by the way, good luck to you, the hymnsa. - Yeah, it's gonna be high. - It's interesting. - Yeah. - As you see, it's just nice that it's in your hands. - Yeah. - Plus, right. - Thank you. - Quiz, see, quiz, predictions for the left. - I've been looking forward to this, I'm actually... - For me, you need to get yourself in the top. - Alan, he's at the top at eight points. I think this is so tight mate, I'm gonna tell you to think about where we have three shots on this, 'cause it's two, two, one, seven. - I know. - All right, so nice, if he gets it on nine, it makes it a bit easier. - So what is it, just a point? - A point. - A point for a point? - A point for a point. - I think we should maybe go to the next couple of weeks, in terms of... - It's not a days, it's only four weeks left. - I've got an idea of it. - Right, okay. - Okay. - Right, okay, actually. - I see, I'm not sure, I've seen the coach, I'm only going to go to the next couple of weeks. - I can't, I'm just asking you, lost. I've only lost one in seven to eight games. - They lost our... - I'm not calling you in one now, I think. - Yeah, so they lost the last two games, two draws, two wins, they lost the game before that. - But I think it went like two or three before that as well. I don't have a hell of a run. - Good run. - And since, of course, I saw the limit. - Draw for me. - Draw. - Down there, they're both teams. - I don't know, I think they're 52 points between them. - Yeah, throw. - I went to, saw the limit. - Spit it out, hold the moment. - Spit it out. - Half going to spit it out to be fair. - Yeah, I'll say spit it. - Good lie to them, I'll leave them alone. - I had a dream last night. - I spit it out of class, I might leave a shot. - Big game, black time of winter, I won't tell him. - Black time of the game, Cup. I won't pick fighting for them all, black time proper safe. I'm going to go back to the city still. I'm still going to go back to the city, ain't I? Got a good quality up front. - I'll say black time as well. - I'm going to draw. - Who's actually going to rock down? - It's tough when it goes just hard to go to. - Right. - I'm going to go and draw. But I think what I'll do is throw in the league, bang, that's a hard game. Cause Robes are trying to fight for players. - I have, yeah. - I'm going to, bit of a spanner, I think, moves. - I think it moves as well. - What should I do? - I think it'll be good for the league as well. - I'll be, I'll be interested in how it will go. - How do you think that, that you'll look at the, what Rob Gillall have put into last night? - It's a factor, I think he gives a factor. - Which is hard, but it's hard to go as fast after my week. - Tough man. - Class pitches rather. - Maybe. - I'll begin to be able to, man drew it versus Spartans. - Man drew it for me. - Draw. - Draw. - I should just hope not. - Yeah. (laughing) - Man drew. (laughing) - Man drew. - Man drew. - Sweet. - Draw, tell me how that aligns. - Draw. - I've went dolly. - It's aligns for me. - Man drew. - I give, tambour, just the parents. I give for tambouras. - I'm going to go draw again. - Sure. - Tambour. - Tambour. - I'm going to go with tambour as well. (speaking in foreign language) - Esté. - Esté. - Yeah. - Same, same. (speaking in foreign language) - Don't trust him on this. (speaking in foreign language) - If anybody got a jet, so new castles are tough. Again, at home. - Not much. (speaking in foreign language) - I know. - Yeah. - Yeah, the midweek games probably have an effect as well, because they're showing their crop. - I don't want to show them. - And then they're playing your mods. - Yeah, okay. - Where is tambour in the league? - I'm forced to, let's start that actually. - Let's go shoot. - And then you look at here, start more tight on points for them, two points behind. - I'll go with tambour. - Big call, go. (speaking in foreign language) - I'm on a good job. - So the union of Home Bank's donated. - Bank's donated. - Same. - Yep. - And this choice that's going on last week. - Shouldn't, shouldn't they? - They're doing that. So they're a lot of it, Stephen. (laughing) - Can't be able to do these by the way, magic. - Can then ride magic on very poor. - Yeah, they are. - Same. - Same. (speaking in foreign language) - Same. (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) - You'll be begging him up. (speaking in foreign language) - How does it go, plan? (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) - Jump, line it, snap to the anchor. - No. (speaking in foreign language) - For like months and maybe a year, (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (laughing) (speaking in foreign language) - I'm not being, I've been listening to the podcast and I enjoy it, so it's something that I wanted to do and I'm glad you asked me to come on, so. - Oh yeah, I'm glad you keep on going. - That's good, you have books, personally, right? - You're going to say it, right? - Well, I'll go through your champagne face mate. - Do you see it? - It's the best time to do bottle cup. - GP. (laughing) (laughing) - Yes. [BLANK_AUDIO]
