The whole new way to start your day with nationally televised reporter, Tiffany Blackman. Any pizza for me can be a personal. Can't wait! Former Falcons and Alabama offensive lineman Mike John. You shut your mouth when you're talking to me. And Atlanta sports radio guru, Bo Morgan. You know I am, I'm swift though. You tell them I'm coming! It helps come in with me, you hear! It's a new experience. And a new take on a sports morning show. The Morning Shift is on. Sports Radio 929, the game. Now, here's Tiffany, Mike, and Bo. Good morning! It is Tuesday, and this is the Morning Shift from Sports Radio 9, the game. We are live here in the kids studios, Robertine, Bo, and myself, Tiffany, here hanging out with you this morning. Gentlemen. What's going on, Tiff? I don't know, you tell me. You know what I mean? You're weird this morning. I'm good, I caught up. Are you getting a weird vibe from her? Yeah, this is weird. Day Day, I'll tell you, I'm a little bit sad this morning because one of my favorite characters on the house, I don't want to give too much away, but House of Dragon might not be joining us for the rest of the season. So I immediately start texting Day Day because he's the person at work that we talk about House of Dragon. We go back and forth, and I'm saying, "Day Day!" And he goes, "That person was my favorite." And I go, "Monsou!" So, that bummed me a little bit. So then I tried to get my mood back. That makes you show that's not real life. You remember the good. Oh, I'm sorry, if you've never been connected to a TV show, Tiffany, are you that person? Yeah, I mean, it's not going to make me sad. She didn't grow up watching so properly. I did not. I did not. Did you? Did your grandma used to make a watch "Monsou?" I know who some of those key players are on some of those shows, but yeah, no, I wasn't, you know, invested... It was pretty hilarious. In college, you know, we'd go to lunch, come back, watch days of our lives, being a bunch of dudes, then we'd go to baseball practice, and we would discuss what's going on on days of our lives. That was the one with the time that the... Yeah, like time through the outlasties on the days of our lives. My mom also watched "Young and the Restless" with the guy with the mustache. Victor, Victor Newman. Victor Newman. "Day Day!" I knew it! But we're like, our TV viewing is very simpatico, me and day days. Yeah, so Victor Newman, and that was... I used to have to watch that crowd when I was cute. Jack Abbott, that evil Jack Abbott. Oh, I do remember Jack. Yeah, he was like Victor's rival. I mean, I know, you know, I'm not going to say I haven't watched episodes, but I, you know, yeah. Tiffany is the only one that's going to come out of here. Like, we're going to lose man cards. We're talking about that, and they're going to be like... Man, so glad Tiffany was there to say the show you're talking about so far. I mean, you know, I was, you know, busy playing sports. I was like, I don't beat kids up on the playground. I was not getting red cards. Yeah, right, right, right. Anything... Actually, I'll talk about myself first, because I never did. Guys, I got a way to blanket again, and it changed my life last night. Oh, yeah? Yeah. What time did you go to bed last night? Or, you know what, better question. I thought I should not score this out of here, but I would... Did you fall asleep immediately is what I would say. Probably, well, because I was so exhausted, I should have been a contributing factor, so we'll get the real assessment on the way to blanket because I'm not exhausted today. We'll get the assessment on it tonight, but I was asleep within probably the first, like, 10 minutes of getting into bed last night. Finally. I know. Because you're capable of homicide. Well, you still are, but not quite as much. I still am, but not as much, not as much. Yeah, I fear less for my life. I should. I feel a little safer when she sleeps. You know? You should. Treble's the one that came in here looking like he didn't have any sleep. I did, because I was watching a braise game and then Diamondbacks go up, what, three to one? I went to bed because I had no faith that they would come back, and what do they do? They came back. Well, they, before we, you know, I know we're getting into it, but, you know, Shark Week is this week too. I know, and I have not been, I know, and we have to watch the replays start on the Gulf. Well, just go. It's been a sharp summer. Yeah, no kidding. And that's, you know, that's actually been some of the theme is, but not in, not in the summer, but there was one last night. A shark attacks being up in certain areas, and then they had one about the Mako, and apparently the, there's like a, like, there. The Mako's the fastest shark, I think. Well, it's also the most evil looking shark because it's got those big old eyes and the teeth really like, like, like serrated blades. Yeah, they're, they're, they're like ratchet looking teeth and, and a ratchet is what I would say. And, but they have a, they had one they called it the beast, like about 15 years ago. And it's gone. And it was one of the biggest Makos that ever seen. They think that one of its, uh, and says, you know, like, Ken folk is out there now. And it's, it's just thing is gigantic, like 15 foot. I'm obsessed with sharks. I love Shark Week. I do love Shark Week. I do too. And I'm, I'm going to have to sit down, shut it down at an earlier time this evening so that I could catch up on what I miss. But also we should stop calling it shark attacks. What do you expect to happen when you go in going to their house? Exactly. It's a, you're home invading. Maybe a shark encounter. Is that probably? Yeah, that's probably all of the bull sharks. The bull sharks are truly evil because they're like in fresh water now reproducing in fresh water. They are particularly ill-tempered. Got to find a way to adapt. Yeah, they, um, them and the, them and those, those tiger sharks are pretty, pretty mean to tiger sharks are mean to tiger sharks and bull, you know, honestly, great whites and makos that for the most part, I mean, you have to go most of the time, you have to really go out in their area. A lot of times their bites are mistakes. They mistake you for something else. The bull sharks are just mean. What do they call an investigative bite, something like that? Yeah, it's just, whatever it is. Yeah, it's just kind of testing it out. Hey, what is this? What is this? This chicken? Hopefully you don't give it by a shark. I was watching one just to put the ball on it. Sorry, tip, but I was watching one shark documentary, whatever you may call it. So it says, a lot of times they mistake like surfers for walruses because of the long you mean, yeah, seal, seal. Yeah. Is the silhouette looks like a seal? Right. Exactly. You done? I'm done. Thanks, tip, for that. I mean, intrude. This is how I brought to you by Morgan and Morgan injured, higher Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. Robbie T did not get to see the rest of the race. I gave up on them. I get some, it was like a 11 30. It was close. It was five to four. That shows my thing in this team though. Last year it was routine after the seventh inning and come back. I know they come back. They win five to four 11 innings. They broke a 28 game losing streak where their opponent scored four runs or more, which is an amazing stat that the team we watched last year would ever go through a stretch like that because how many games they win where it was eight, six, seven, five, five, four, eight, seven. But, you know, Tiffany, you make fun of Rob and I what because every time we see a guy that this team has never faced, we get panicked. And last night, I just, you know, Gilbert Diaz goes out there and looked like, I mean, Roger Clemens do throw six innings. He's hitting 98 miles an hour. Rob, you were impressed with his curve and gives up one run. And they look at him as a reliever long term too, which is interesting. But I say what if he's a reliever, then he's going to, he would be a hell of a closer with me. He might be on me. Holy snikies. But, but look, the Braves were able to inch back elder. So they switched it up. We talked yesterday about Chris Selby and the guy, the Braves who, and I even said yesterday, I said, Robert feels like they're going away from the six van rotation. It's back. Boom. It's back. They have elder out there. He goes, elder actually pitched pretty well. He was cruising till six inning. What do you think? What do you think it may be? Could be fatigue or maybe third time through the line, but he didn't get tattooed, just gave up a run. And I think he walks somebody, then he left the game and then you bring in a home. Yeah, Holmes wasn't his best, but he did get out of it. The elder was tagged with the three iron runs. Holmes gets out of it with only allowing two more to cross the plate. And then Sean Murphy, Eddie Rosario, who gets caught up as well, gets on bases. His only hit of the game came timely. I'll see you all who's blown what four straight. Thanks a lot. See you all. He's on my fantasy roster and gives up a two run shot to Murphy and the Braves were able to win it and extras of Marcelo Zuna comes up with a big sack fly. Speaking of those in, let's find out who's participating in certain events. In the all star game, we'll discuss when we hit the front page next on the morning shift on sports radio night and on the game. Now with the MLB app, you can get baseball your way. Pick your favorite team, your favorite players, and get customized highlights, stories, and breaking news right on your home feed. Back to more of the morning shift with Tiffany, Mike, and Beau on sports radio 929 the game. One, two, three. It's time to take a look at today's top headlines. This is the front page on the morning shift. Time to go in the front page and Marcelo Zuna will compete in this year's home run Derby. The designated hitter for the Braves is in the midst of a resurgent season. He entered yesterday with 23 homers and an NL leading 72 RBIs. So other entries in the slugging exhibition are the Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt, Jr. And then for the Phillies, it is Alex Baum. Alex Baum, excuse me, and then Gunnar Henderson for the Baltimore Orioles and then Peter Lonzo of the Mets. So more participants will be announced in the coming days. So nothing lasts too long to home run Derby. Remember it used to last seem like five hours. It was never ending. Yeah, did you like it better the way it used to be like back in the late 90s or the kind of elimination, the guy, you know, player versus player that they have? I like it back then because it was kind of new. Now it's just kind of it's like the slam dunk contest. It's a big yawn for me. Well, I will say that at least we're getting at least guys want to do this. Um, Peter Lonzo apparently is addicted to it. It's like his Superboy every year. This is just this is his fifth straight. Um, I'm excited to see, um, Gunnar Henderson in it, because he's been a guy. I'm really excited to see Marcel. I will say that, um, I was had the article that came out Saturday, not come out, uh, or Sunday, whatever it was, whatever I sent it to you that David Brond did about Marcel. I would have been a lot more worried about Marcel doing this, but I do believe now that he actually has a better understanding of his swing than he's had in a long time and understands what to do to make that adjustment, if that makes sense. Like, I don't believe that this will necessarily ruin his swing. In other words, like we've I don't think there's a whole lot of, uh, information out there to confirm or deny that Homer and Derby can affect a guy's swing. I just, I haven't seen enough evidence. That, that seems to be just a kind of a talking point. Is it kind of like an urban myth? Kind of like the you think it's not necessarily that. Well, the mad girl, I don't think that was, that was clearly on the cover. You're going to tear your ACM. Yeah, but it's kind of going away itself for the most part, but I don't know. I think it's, um, I think guys kind of getting bad hat, they can get in bad habits, maybe. And it's sometimes, I think the discipline of the plate or that maybe if you're putting in the work to get out of those bad habits that you do, but I do the homerun Derby and you get back into cage or take some BP, hit off a tee and do all the basic things you do to keep your swing maintained or put it back together after Homer and Derby. So well, and that's the one thing that, that, that don't worry about with Marcel is he changed his swing like three weeks ago just to hit homeruns. And he was like, this sucks. I'm not doing very well. I got to go back. I'm just overall happy for him because he got clowned. He deserved he had a lot of self inflicted wounds. And we all do. We're all messy in our own ways. And now this redemption is kind of a, a wonderful thing to see because he was in the pit of hell. Yeah. And now that he's basically, this is a second straight, you know, he's on pace for another 40 homerun season. Be a second straight. Another 100 RBI season. Be his second straight. That option of $16 million next year is probably going to be the easiest decision. Alex and topless might have to make this all season. Who would have thought we were convinced last year that he'd be out of here by June. Yeah. Doesn't need for assignment or something, you know, shows how much we all know. No, nothing, nothing. Atlanta United defender Caleb Wiley has been named to the United States men's Olympic team for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. It was announced. And so the US will play in group A, they'll be facing Olympic Coast, France on July 24th and New Zealand on July 27th. And they'll also be playing on July 30th. You pay attention to that to get ready for your assignment over there. Yes. Yes. That was what we were all waiting. You can prepare, but you can only prepare so much until you actually know the set roster. So and luckily that came out yesterday morning or was it the yeah, it was yesterday. So yeah, now will be basically diving in. Now let's go time. Well, now let's go time. Apparently, Caleb Wiley is going to be the Chelsea's next player because it sounds like there's reports that came out late yesterday that he is about to transfer to Chelsea. The athletic had it. One of their guys had it looks like it's going to be around a 10.9 million dollar transfer fee, which is only like eight and a half euros, I guess. I don't know. I don't really know how the euro to American dollar thing works, but that is the other news at Caleb. So big day for Caleb Wiley, essentially, where he's going to get to go to the the EPL and play for the United States Men's National team. So it's been good for him. I'm like another player. This whatever you want to say about the business model, they might not be winning titles right now or trophies or however Darranilles used to say it, but they are still developing players and making money off the transfer fee for somebody else. Yeah, but that's the model of the MLS. I mean, that's the model. You either used to be the reverse. We'd get guys towards the tail end of their glamorous names who have lost the step, but I think it's like a farewell tour for them when they came to the MLS. Rob, I think it's, um, I think it's both though. I think it is a league where you bring in young players and develop them and send them. Well, it's like when they brought in Rooney, Rooney a couple of years ago, or you bring in guys like Beckham, Rooney, Messy now, you know, and they have kind of a couple of year farewell tour and try to help, you know, build the league. I mean, Messy's getting a lot out of his time in the MLS. Also, just a quick note, Atlanta United, they take on India 11 tonight in the quarterfinals of the US Open Cup. That's at seven o'clock at a 5th, 3rd bank stadium. The game is going to be broadcast right here in 1999, the game with pregame coverage starting at six with a Gordon and Garrett Chapman. So stay tuned for that. Boy, I'll be in in a room with those two. Just shoot me now. Oh, oh, no. Oh, it's kind of, but it is kind of like the polar opposite. Garrett is very proper. Yes. Very, not only is he like a prep school kid. Yes. And then you've got a yelling at you. Yeah. You've got a yells at you there. It's like, why are you yelling at me? Yeah. I know. It's a walking heart attack. This story from Jeff Borzello of ESPN, Yukon coach Dan Hurley, who led the Huskies to back to back national championships. You also remember, he turned down the Lakers job last month. He has now signed a contract to stay in Connecticut through the 2029, 2020, 2030. I can't even freeze it even be saying that season. So Hurley's new deal is worth 50 million over six years before performance base incentives. He said it was an honor to coach basketball at Yukon and to represent this world class institution and the great state of Connecticut. I wonder what his ultimate goals are. But I still feel maybe he wants to end up in the NBA. He just didn't want to go out there and be under LeBron's talks. He's a cloud. He didn't want to develop Bronney. My golf players were better than he's gone. Yeah. You know, I think you're, I think you got a lot of truth to what you're saying. I also though, don't think he's an NBA coach. I don't think his, you think his demeanor, you think he's too hardcore and I would, yeah, but people can soften their message and kind of read the room. I don't know if he can though. He's, he's pretty intense. Yeah. I think, I think you are 100% right on everything you just said, but I, and I think the latter, the very last part is I don't think he's a guy that's going to soften his stance. I don't think he's it. I think he, I think he's a very good coach, Rob, but I think he has got an ego that might not fit in this room. And that's just the, that's just the feeling you get from the way he, the way he taught, like how many coaches are going to talk to their fan bases that would, no, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but how many coaches are going to, going to talk to his fan base the way he did? I don't think he, what did he say? Well, he basically called them bad fans for how they were acting at one point in the regular season or maybe the tournament. I don't think he's a guy that is going well with a guy making $55 million a year. Who are you talking to me like that? Yeah, man, I make more money than you do. And I do, I do think you're right about the, I don't think he was going to go there and, and listen to LeBron, because I think LeBron is the de facto head coach. And you know what? That's okay. LeBron's earned it. Look, it's earned it. If you want to give your, what does he earn to do that though? It'd be a toxic presence. I mean, every other year they, they, they get rid of role players. Who's a common and I mean, you and AB, I guess. Boy, yeah. Well, I'm like, he can't say healthy. That's part of the problem. But, but look, if LeBron James is the all-time leading scorer, if you want to give, if you want to bring a guy like that in, you know that you're going to pay him the, the, the very maximum you can pay him and you're going to have to concede control. So yeah, if, if someone, he's earned the right that if someone thinks that they're going to do that and give that up, that's your bad decision. Not, that's not his fault. I mean, that's, that's, that's just no different than we saw other guys. It's not LeBron's fault, lack yourself aware. This is funny how nobody wants to go out there and play with them. Well, nobody wants to come here and play either, apparently, because I don't, I don't different reasons. I know. But this one in the same where no one's knocking on the door to come play here either. That's the one thing I'll give Hawks management. All the things you want to say about how they've mishandled it, which they have, why is no one knocking on the door to come here? Well, you know, when players want to play with guys that they think they can win titles with, why is no one knocking? We always say the Hawks won't go get anyone. The NBA is a, a superstar control league. Why is no one knocking on the door to come play in Atlanta? Well, I think we have a superstar that has looked at a certain way in the league amongst this peers, clearly. Yeah, I don't disagree. I'm just, it's a fair question, I think. Sure. A fair question. Okay. Yeah, it is. I mean, you know, it's Rob Rob's 100% right. Why is no one going to play in LA? Why is no one to come play? Go look at where guys are going, they're going to play with you think you think anyone wants to play Anthony Edwards? I bet a lot of people do who also is, you know, probably going to be the star of the US Olympic. We'll get to that in a minute. We'll get to that in a minute. Yeah. That will be coming up on the other side as well as a TV's timeout. But yes, he had a lot to say. Makes me like him even more. How can you not? And also, I still can't shake the MJ like they do look alike. It's kind of wild. So anyway, that's all coming up on the other side. When we come back here on the morning shift, on sports radio 929 the game. Morning's on the game means more of the morning shift. Nice. On sports radio 929 the game. Back here on the morning shift, this hour brought to you by Morgan and Morgan injured, higher Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. All right, the USA men's basketball, group stage opponents are scheduled for the 2024 Paris Olympics. It is set after Puerto Rico qualified for the Olympics on Sunday team USA schedule at the games is now confirmed. So the United States will open up against Serbia on July 28th at 11 15 a.m. Eastern time. And then they will face off against South Sudan on July 31st at 3 p.m. So this is all according to sports tracks Keith Smith. That part is so all right. So it's set, but this looks like a it's a pretty fun roster. I think all the storylines that are coming out of this. As we call him here on the show, Jolene bid. Now, Joe will indeed you. I don't know if you heard that. Who called on that? What happened? I was just like reading. I know I was just reading. What'd you call him? I called him Joel. No, he is, but I was just reading and sometimes my brain does whatever it wants. Who's your favorite old golfer? Chai Chai Robert was, you know, Jolene bid, you know, never know my friend's gonna do on a different day. So it was one of those moments around because it was early in the show's existence. And you know, I kind of trust Tiffany's, uh, Annunciation of name names and enter in her reading capabilities. And I just kind of looked at her and I kind of cut my eyes back in my kind of look back at her and I was like, wait, I was like, what? What are you guys looking at? You want for me? What do you want? Indeed. I was like, if I'm pronouncing this name wrong this whole time, I don't even know why I don't even know why I did it. Anyway, but yes, there's been some fun storylines. Coming out of all the media availability that they've been having at Team USA's practice, Dylan, you ready for that? Anthony Edwards sound? So yeah. So Anthony Edwards is, you know, confident going into this. I'm still the number one option. Yeah. I mean, y'all might look at it differently. I don't look at it no differently. Yeah, I just go out there and be myself, shoot my shots, play defense and, you know, they got to fit in and play around me. That's how I feel. I'm the number one option. I love it. I mean, do you ever love that? That's what dating. I'm the number one option. I love it. He's so likable. He is. He is former dog. Yeah. Atlanta. Atlanta kid grew up here. He is. Boy, he's what you want in alpha on a team. If you want to got to lead your team, that's the kind of guy you want a true alpha guy that his teammates, he's got an infectious attitude to say the least. And he's an easy guy to follow. He and a true competitor. The funny thing though, is, you know, after yesterday's scrimmage, the select team's Cooper flag, who I saw going on a little bit, dude, he, he, he looked like a, is he 17? Hasn't even played a college game yet for Duke. And he looked like a man out there balling. He looked like his wife and kids were there watching us. How old are you seeing? That's 17. But he's the first. So there have been other college players to go. Oh my gosh, four of all Boston Celtics. Marcus Smart. But the difference between him and Marcus. And then who was a more recent draft pick? I just dug. I'll think of it. Anyway, there's only been two college players to be invited to go practice with team USA. And then this kid's the other one. But the difference is he's never played. He's never played a college game before. So. Yeah, Doug McDermott. So you're talking about, but yeah, and it's, it's, it's, it's really, it's, I've always really liked when they get these guys of practice. I think he kind of shows who they are. Remember back in the day, back in the 92 dream team, the big deal, Leitner was Leitner that made it. But he was such an afterthought. Yeah. Well, I think that then you had to have one, one college player in the year. And he was great. But even then they kind of, they kind of, they, they, they, that, that was a team full of, of alpha bullies at times. Like they weren't afraid to kind of embarrass you in front of other people. But the fact that Cooper flags already doing this, he's already predicted to be the number one pick in 2025, which sucks. Cause can we get next year to you think maybe we can get Risha Shea Cooper flag? Can we just, can we, maybe the Hawks win a lottery two years in a row? And then we don't have to worry about superstars coming. Well, they're certainly seemingly trying to position themselves in such a way. Is there any doubt in your mind that the USA will win the gold medal? Oh, there's always doubt. Yeah. I mean, who are your most dominant players in the NBA? Now for the most part, foreign players, they've caught up. The world has caught up. And that was David Stern's vision though. Yeah. But we've got to spread the basketball gospel. Yeah. We've got the Jason Tatum's of the world. We've got the Anthony at worst. I mean, look, I think it's not going to be as easy. I mean, they're not going to go out and beat Angola by 70 again. I don't think, you know, they should. Well, you know what I'm saying, they're not going to steamroll through. I know. I know. And they start off having to play yoga. I was going to say in Serbia. Yeah. Yeah. So it's honestly not going to be easy to start, but, but, but the reality situation is, is we should still, we should be there at the end of the day, holding up the gold medal easily. I mean, to me personally, this way, just like I always expect our, I don't know, this is home a little bit with you. But I always think our women's soccer team should be the team standing there at the end of the day because we have dominated that for so long. I mean, for the most part, we have been the world superpower in women's soccer. I don't know if I necessarily want us to win the gold. I'm kind of a big ivory coast guy. So you're, you're rooting, you're rooting against. I'm rooting for the ivory coast against the country. What? Have you defected? I didn't know about it. Are you an investor? I might be. Do you have another give like dual citizenship somewhere else? I should look into it. You might have to now. I have to now. I don't think you would pass the test. And I think they would see you as a security threat somewhere else. And some sort of interloper. Yeah. You're a national threat. You follow me everywhere I go. Well, he naps a lot. So he's not going to do much. Well, hey, get ready for another Powerball jackpot tomorrow. Powerball players can win millions playing in store or online at Georgia Lottery dot com or GA Lottery dot com. So that five oh five o'clock commute to your dream estate might just make up for the time spent in traffic only from the Georgia Lottery. So have you guys played? Oh, I play all the time. I got the app. Well, every morning when I drive in, I see the sign and I see if someone won the last time there was a drawing and I watch it and there's a certain monetary amount that I go. All right, I'm in. I'm gonna start by but it's funny because I was driving in this morning and I saw that the Powerball was 41 million and I started trying to do the math in my head like if I take it all right now, they're gonna this much is going out in taxes. What would I get? And I was about a million dollars off. I thought it was gonna be like 20 somewhere around this over 20. It'd actually be 19.4 million. You would take home if you did it right now. If you go to the website, they always break it down for you. They have. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm I'm in. The other the other one is like at 140 something. So they're both pretty good. All right, this gives me an idea. Let's hit a TV's timeout. Now listen up. Now let's take a look at what's going on in Tiffany's world. The same front with TV's timeout on the morning shift brought to you by maximum cash homebuyers.com. They're cash offers for as is homes. Don't waste your time with repairs. Call 678-902-2000. So the lottery has got me thinking. Oh is Georgia? I can't remember. They one of the states where because there's certain states where you can choose to remain anonymous but you test have to pay. It is. Yes, it is. Okay, so we okay. So well you have to pay to remain anonymous. Yeah. Did you see the guy when he won the lottery or you wore like a Jason mask? I think it was. I did not think he clearly paid to stay anonymous. Yeah. Well, he didn't he's not going to pay to say no. Well, I'm gonna wear this mask. So my question is are you paying to stay anonymous? Absolutely. Yeah. I'm with I'm with Rob. Yeah. There are states that that's not even an option. The only states you can have the legal right to remain anonymous are Arizona Delaware and Georgia. That's it. I would absolutely remain anonymous because here's a deal. You want people knocking on your door? Well, I have people kidnapping you pulling up in a white van and throwing the back over your head driving you off. I would have a driver in a security team because I'm I'm I'm very important right today. But I would I wouldn't quit my job either. I love this is fun for me. I love what I do. I would pay off bills and then I was still coming here and doing a show. I would tell y'all to go to hell so quickly. All you. All you. I don't have the car waiting. I mean, honestly, I would see me again. I would retire probably in about 10. Mornings on the game means more of the morning shift. Nice. On Sports Radio 929 the game. Back here in the morning shift, this hour brought to you by Morgan and Morgan injured. Higher Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. All right. The USA men's basketball group stage opponents are scheduled for the 2024 Paris Olympics. It is set after Puerto Rico qualified for the Olympics on Sunday team USA schedule at the games is now confirmed. So the United States will open up against Serbia on July 28th at 11 15 a.m. Eastern time and then they will face off against South Sudan on July 31st at 3 p.m. So this is all according to sports tracks Keith Smith. That part is so all right. So it's set. But this looks like a it's a pretty fun roster. I think all the storylines that are coming out of this. As we call him here on the show, Jolene bid. Now Joe will indeed. I don't know if you heard that. What who called him that? What happened? I was just like reading. I know I was just reading. What'd you call him? I called him Joel. Knowing who he is. But I was just reading and sometimes my brain does whatever it wants. Who's your favorite old golfer? Chai Chai Robert was. Jolene bid. You never know what my brain is going to do on a different day. So it was one of those moments where I was early in the show's existence and you know I kind of trust Tiffany's. Annunciation of names and enter in her reading capabilities. And I just kind of looked at her and I kind of cut my eyes back in my kind of look back at her and I was like wait. I was like what? What are you guys looking at? What do you want for me? What do you want? Indeed. I was like if I'm pronouncing his name wrong this whole time. I don't even know why. I don't even know why I did it anyway. But yes, there's been some fun storylines coming out of all the media availability that they've been having at Team USA's practice. Dylan, you ready for that? Anthony Edward sound? So yeah, so Anthony Edwards is you know confident going into this. I'm still number one up. Yeah. I mean y'all might look at it differently. I don't look at it no differently. Yeah, I just go out there and be myself, shoot my shots, play defense and you know, they got to fit in and play around me. That's how I feel. I'm the number one option. I love it. I mean, do you ever love that? That's what they do. I'm the number one option. I love it. He's so likable. He is. He is former dog. Yeah. Atlanta. Atlanta kid grew up here. He he is boy. He is what you want an alpha on a team. If you want to got a leisure team, that's the kind of guy you want a true alpha guy that his teammates. He's got an infectious attitude to say the least and he's an easy guy to follow. He in a true competitor. The funny thing though is, you know, after yesterday's scrimmage, the select team's Cooper flag, it was going off a little bit, dude. He he he looked like a is he 17 hasn't even played a college game yet for Duke. And he looked like a man out there balling. He looked like his wife and kids were there watching us. How old are you seeing 17? But he's the first. So there have been other college players to go. Oh my gosh, four of all Boston Celtic Marcus smart. But the difference between him and Marcus and then who was a more recent draft pick? I just dug I'll think of it. Anyway, there's only been two college players to be invited to go practice with Team USA. And then this kid's the other one. But the difference is he's never played. He's never played a college game before. So yeah, Doug McDermott is so you're talking about. Thank you. But yeah, and it's it's it's really it's I've always really liked when they get these guys of practice. I think he kind of shows who they are. Remember back in the day back in the 92 dream team? The big deal. Leitner was Leitner that made it. But he was such an afterthought. Yeah, well, I think that then you had to have one one college player in the year and he was great. But even then they kind of they kind of they they that that was a team full of of alpha bullies at times. Like they weren't afraid to kind of embarrass you in front of other people. But the fact that Cooper flags already doing this, he's already predicted to be the number one pick in 2025. Yeah, which sucks. Cause can we get next year to you think maybe we can get Reese's Shea Cooper flag? Can we just can we maybe the Hawks win a lottery two years in a row? And then we don't have to worry about superstars coming well, they're certainly seemingly trying to position themselves in such a way. Is there any doubt in your mind that the USA will win the gold medal? Oh, there's always doubt. Yeah. I mean, who are your most dominant players in the NBA now for the most part foreign players? They've caught up. The world is caught up. Now is David Stern's vision, though. Yeah, but we've got to spread the basketball gospel. Yeah, we've got the Jason Tatum's of the world. We got the Anthony at worst. I mean, you like, I think it's not going to be as easy. I mean, they're not going to go out and beat Angola by 70 again. I don't think, you know, they should. Well, you know what I'm saying? They're not going to steamroll through. I know. I know. And they start off having to play yoga. I was going to say in Serbia. Yeah. Yeah. So it's honestly not going to be easy to stop. No, it's not. But but but the reality situation is, is we should still, we should be there at the end of the day, holding up the gold medal easily. So you're you're rooting. You're rooting against. I'm rooting for the Ivory Coast against the country. What? Have you defected? Did I know about it? I know. Do you have a factor? I might be. Do you have another give like dual citizenship somewhere else? I should look into it. You might have to now. You might have to now. I don't think you would pass the test. And I think they would see you as a security threat somewhere else. And some sort of interloper. You're a national threat. You follow me everywhere I go. Well, he naps a lot. So he's not going to do much. Well, hey, get ready for another Powerball jackpot tomorrow. I would retire probably in about 10 years. You know, if I'm lucky enough to retire my own like, like, you know, walk away when I want to. But I know I would I would. This is fun. I I would let Amy quit working because we shouldn't need to work anymore. But I'd still come in three hours a day. A lot of people want to work as we you kind of want to work sometimes, you know, but on your own terms. Yes. Exactly. I would probably step down as the APD. I probably I don't know. I probably wouldn't. I still enjoy that too. I'd go into my life as a professional trainer. I would finally get my certification. You guys have never here. But you're still working. Yeah, I know. But that's what I'm saying. That's what you want to do. And it's like, you know, it's all my own time. No one's tweeting at you. You know, I'll get one of those sleep chambers. You know, I don't think this is true now. But a lot of times, say maybe 20 years ago, if you saw an older person wearing that orange vest at Home Depot, there's a chance they're a millionaire. Yeah, because they've been at Home Depot since day one, they just want to work. Yeah, there's a lot of orange vested millionaire orange apron millionaires walking around. Well, I don't think that's the case anymore. But I imagine there's even the even guys who would made me acting and decided that you know what, they had expertise in it. They still like doing that kind of stuff, but they don't want to do it. Yeah. I mean, dude, we got to find something. Yeah, you got to sign something to buy your time. Well, yeah, I mean, you do have to be busy so you can live long enough to enjoy your money. But yeah, you can only play golf. I guess you can play golf eight hours a day if you want. I guess you're walking. You'd find the certainty to want to work and do something at least a few hours a day, I would think smart would come in here. Talk, talk trash all day. Three hours.
