Mike Bo and Tiff hanging out with you. So good morning. Happy birthday, America. Tomorrow. Happy birthday Eve, America. You know what I mean? Happened tomorrow. Obviously, we won't be hanging out with you guys on July 4th, but excited for the holiday coming up. And man, I'm I don't know about you. About you guys, I'll be headed to the headed to the butcher at some point today to find something to throw on the grill. I make that thing sizzle tomorrow because it's just there's there's nothing better, man. I I got a couple questions thrown in on which one Wednesday about you guys 4th of July activities, but stoked to stoked about the holiday coming up. I actually just might pull my version of the the grilling M&M freezer. I'm going to instead of cleaning up my closet, I'm going to clean up my my freezer. I have got so much meat that I have this ball in there that I need that I could just throw on the not even the smoker just yeah, I'll take it out today. I'll take it out. I'd probably take it out tonight. Let it let it all just overnight and then prep it. But I mean, I've got I've got a rib roast in there. I've got some some beef ribs in it with beef ribs I might want to take out before. I got some short rib in there. I mean, I've just got things that would be perfect for the 4th of July that I got some Omaha steak burger. Those the tenderloin burgers in there. I mean, I've got just a ton of meat in there that I need to. So I do have a brisket in there. Maybe I could just maybe now I'd have to throw that out. Show the loaded question. I just plan on showing up tomorrow. We're family in town. Oh, I was going to say, why are you showing up? Not here. No, no, not here. I showed up at my parents house. Family in town and Donnie B always cooks. I'm sure my uncle will probably be joining in the the fun with him. And I will just show up. I'll tell you all this. I don't know. I think we've covered this for but the sweat preparation for me is already underway. You know what I mean? Like I'm going to spend the whole day in swim trunks. Like just it no matter what happens, I'm probably going to sweat through anything away anyways because I will probably spend the whole day outside. It's just we're we're we're a family that runs hot. You know what I mean? I'm going to bring up meat sweats. I have flashbacks to that. That doesn't make anybody feel good at 6 a.m. I know I I gave my son a buzz cut last night. Looks like a looks like a 10 year old, but he's only three. I don't know. Did you guys ever get haircuts from your parents when you were young? Like, was that a thing? Is that weird? Boys, but girls and I don't maybe some girls did. Right. On my end. Absolutely not. Yeah. I cut my own hair once. Yeah. That's happened for two. My son ran the scissors up through his a couple times. No. We always I mean, I might have when I was super super young, but I had long hair longer hair for like kid like, you know, like down to like here. Oh, I might get a ball cut. Yeah, but it was but my hair was like white when I was when I was younger. I was into the corn. Yeah. No, just a blonde. Children are the corn. You ever see that movie? Yeah, but I'm not a corn child. I'm not evil. But yes, as someone calling a toehead or something like that, I don't know. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. And the children of the corn was a little bit harsh. They call me a Targaryen. I was a Targaryen when I was young with them. Yeah. I grew up. Yeah, man. But no, I gave I gave my son the the buzz last night and got him got him right. He was feeling like, you know, the hair blowing through his the wind blowing through his hair. So we're ready to rock, man. It's obviously been hot outside, but we're going to try to cool off as best we can get the girls fired tomorrow, but enjoy the day today, at least for the July eve. So it is what it is. Yeah, that was the thing, but sure. It is. It is. It's a party night. It should be kind of like Thanksgiving Eve. Yeah, that's why they say this should be bigger than Thanksgiving Eve for me, because you can go to the pool tonight, too, if you want it, you could do that that pool night drink in kind of thing, no, a night swim, get it in. Look, anytime you got a week, a midweek holiday, the day before is always an eve and yeah, it's always an eve in my opinion, because that's that's the day that actually you get to celebrate because you get to sleep in a bunch of the things you want to do. I don't know. Your sleep was on the struggle bus last week. So this is a good chance to catch up. I'm going to try. I'm going to try. Yeah. And then I'll get a little bit. Well, actually, yeah, I'm on the I'm on the road Friday. So tomorrow is the sleeping day. So got to get it done. Oh, I didn't know that. Maybe you should look at the schedule and check your email. You're gonna miss, you're gonna miss you're gonna miss Bradley Chubb. We've got Bradley Chubb on Friday. Dolphins defensive end. You guys can handle that. Join us at 45. So that's gonna be fun. He's got a camp coming up. You know, he's from Austin. He's a Georgia boy. So yeah, he'll be on with us Friday. So I guess you get to miss that. I got some WMB action. We back up in Indiana. So, oh, who did the fever play New York Liberty? So, you know, pretty good. Pretty good one. You know, what else is coming on Friday? Grant McCauley and Tiff, I about had to have it out with him last week about this, but I've got even more questions now. So I hope he comes prepped on Friday. Well, I don't want you to hurt him. And in case you do, he knows that he could call Morgan and Morgan. This hour is sponsored by them. It's America's largest injury law firm. All right, let's talk about the Braves. This is not to be used as evidence. The show is not to be used ever. Run the tape. The Braves feel like it's, you know, they lose five to three to the Giants. Ronaldo Lopez allowing two runs for hits and he had four Ks out of six through five, five innings. Walked for, excuse me, and had six Ks. There he got carried this morning. Doing great. Five innings pitch. But, yeah, this is a, I'll let you, I guess, put it in better words than I probably can. I don't know where y'all are better words. It was like, there's time to this offense. Is this like, I would just assume get a root canal, then watch this offense, take some of the bats. And the problem that was actually in which one Wednesday. Here's the issue. Now, look, I'm going to, I'm going to be negative while, while being realistic at the same time and the read because I'm going to be negative. Well, I suspect that from you. You know me. The reality of the situation is when you get past all shot, I mean, really Austin Riley, it's not very good. I know Sean Murphy has not played a ton of games and he is starting to heat up. He did have a homerun last night and I'm not going to sit here and kill him, but the reality of the situation is guys not even hitting three, his, his own base percentage is not even over 300. And honestly, to me, uh, you know, you need guys with three, 20 to 30 on pace percentage or higher and a productive, to be a productive major league player. You're not getting that from Sean Murphy, Duvall, Forrest Wall, Zach Short, RC is not giving it to you. I mean, you're not getting any production from the bottom, bottom half of this lineup and part of that is due to injuries. Why aren't the big hits coming? Let's take a listen to Austin Riley. Each night, it seems like, you know, when we're in the situation, we're just, we're right there. And just, you know, can't, can't get that, you know, that, that, you know, that, that, that, that big hit to build that momentum and keep going and, and, you know, for whatever reason, you know, we just got to continue to, to push forward and, and, and work every day. You know, there's like, you know, five stages of grief and all, you know, that kind of thing. Um, I'm watching this game yesterday, Bo and I are prepping for the big race last night on the Chicago street course in the simulator. Uh, and, and I'm watching this game take off and I'm, I'm sitting there like cringing every time I feel like, uh, an opportunity is missed. Be it a runner on base or be it Kellnick striking out runners on second and third with one out, uh, or an all low, uh, run out of low pass serving up a, you know, a tater or whatever it may be. I, whatever the case may be. And then I almost slapped myself because I'm like, this was supposed to be one of the greatest offenses of this generation. And I'm sitting here cringing about the lack of bringing one run across the place. Who, who, who, who, who's supposed to be the greatest offense? You mean the one with Ronald LaCouña playing with Michael Harris, healthy with fact that. So those guys were tearing the car off. Well, well, that's not the point. That's not the point. What the point is though, what is the point? The point, you want me to say it? I'll tell you the fact that this is, this lineup last night is, uh, is not honestly, force walls on a major league player. Zach Short is on a major league starter. Zach Short plan. Well, because Orlando Arcea, I guess, didn't brush well enough because he's got an abscess too. I don't know what the hell to tell you about that. But the problem is, is I'm not going to sit is, is frustrated as I am with this team from an offensive level. They have been better somewhat lately, but I can't expect Jared Kalnick to get every big hit for this team. I, I mean, Matt Olson has to do his job too, as well as O'Zuna has cooled off a little bit. But when I, when I think about the ineptitude of this offense, I look at the fact that I'm, I'm depending on Adam Duvall and Forest wall to come up with big hits and in Zach Short. And honestly, we told you this was Arcea last year, but everyone was like, no, no, see, we don't need Dansby and I'm not saying Dansby's killing it into Chicago right now. But the guy we had here was a guy that was producing. Now the, the shortstop position, it offensively is a black hole. One of your outfield, core outfield spots, really both of them right now are black holes because Kalnick's having to play center. I, I think will you get, at least get Michael Harris back and maybe Arcea comes back and starts to maybe get hot. I don't know. But the fact that this lineup last night, the fact that they got three runs almost was amazing. It's just not a very good lineup right now. But when I hear this should be the greatest offense of all time. This isn't that offense. You, do you, the biggest part of that offense was having Ronald Dacunya lead off where even he could draw walks, he could get on and create play, you know, something with his, with his legs. You don't have that. I'm going to hold my tone. Well, we'll continue the conversation. And maybe when we come back, we can switch gears to something positive with the Braves. Maybe a little Jesse Travis talk. I don't know if you guys are up for that, but, oh, he gave up a dinger last night too. So, well, we could talk about something good. But he's got a t-shirt. Dang it. Well, we are back here on the morning shift on sports radio night tonight, the game. [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] >> Now with the MLB app, you can get baseball. This is one of those songs they played it so much, it kind of irked me, and then Mike looks over and is like, I love this song. I know it. >> Here's what's crazy. What do you mean they played it so much? >> It just got, you know what I mean? >> Look, I don't know if they played it a lot. >> The album was crack review. >> I think I lived in Jersey when this came out, I believe, I think. And maybe I was down here in middle, when did, I don't know, we'll have to look up when it came out. >> I understand. It would have been 95, maybe? >> We were almost coming down here, so I would have been in Jersey then. And yes, I felt like this was. >> '94, '95, '96, something like that. Yeah, it's a, no, it's a good tune, man. Come on, who doesn't like Hootie? >> I didn't say I didn't like him. >> No, I'm saying you said you hated the song. >> Did I say I hated it? >> What was the word? >> I said they just played it so much, it kind of irked, it kind of irked. >> That's not the word. That's not what you said when we opened the second. >> Did I? I don't know, I'm Michael's off, so I made sure my Michael's off. >> He said, of course you love this song. >> Oh yeah, of course you, yes, of course you. >> I hate this song. >> You said this is not the song, it makes me angry. That's exactly what you said. >> You know what, that's true. >> Oh, you're joining, you're here with us? >> Well, I joined when it was necessary. I listened to all of your angry speech. >> I defended you all day yesterday. >> You know what? >> That's a good point. Yeah, that's a good point. She went to bat for you yesterday. >> I know, I know, she was a little bit out of you back. >> It was kind of alarming. >> It was actually a lot. It was a cry for help. >> Other conversation. >> But didn't you attack a song that had a video with Dan Marino in it and he's throwing passes to Hootie. >> I didn't attack this song, I didn't attack it. >> I didn't attack it and I don't not like Darius Rucker. >> It's okay, it's him. You can say you attacked it. >> What about what about the guy that's what about the guy that's not going to read it anyway? >> You know what? I think Trevor Lawrence literally based his entire look off one of the dudes in that band. >> You're right, dude. The guitar player? >> Yeah, that's the guy that's the guy that's the guy that's the guy that's the guy that's the guy that's the guy that's the guy that said, you know what? >> Because I want to be I want to be the guitarist from Hootie and the Blowfish. >> I saw Hootie at truest parka a few years ago. That was a good good show. >> Why doesn't he go by Hootie anymore? >> Darius Rucker. >> Yeah, but he was Hootie when he was with the Blowfish. >> But he can still be just Hootie. >> I think Tom Petty left when Tom Petty didn't do stuff with the heartbreakers, he was just Tom Petty. Why is Hootie- >> Is Tom Petty's real name Tom Petty? >> Pretty positive, yeah. I'll double check it, but he's from Gainesville, Florida. You know that. >> I think everybody knows that. >> Yeah, I think everybody knows that. >> Well, I want to remind you that he's from Gainesville, Florida. >> But you're not? >> No, I'm not, but Tom Petty is, and he won't back down. They play it at the fourth quarter. >> All right. >> All right, good to go. >> You want to pick up your conversation where you guys left off with the Braves. And yes, they did fall five to three to the Giants, so they do have a three game set with them going on. That was game one. And Ronaldo Lopez, allowing two runs, four hits. He walked four and had six Ks through five innings pitch. >> Well, Ronaldo Lopez is up to 79 innings pitched on the year. All right. And why that's important is because last year at 11, the year before that he had 13, the year before that he had 42, you got to go all the way back to 2019 before you would see a year where he pitched more than he has already at this point in the season. So I think that's a, that's a big thing for a couple reasons. First of all, I thought his pitches yesterday had great life on them. I don't, I think that he's still throwing with high velocity, but he did. He did look like he was laboring at times and you saw that kind of come to fruition with the back to back homers. >> Fatigue is an issue when it comes to Lopez. Let's take a listen to Snit. >> I thought the last game, I said, you know, the poor guy had two rain delays before he pitched. He had a rain delay the night before we played the first game of the double header, he always had a rain. That's not excused, but it's reality. Tonight, for some reason, I don't, I didn't see fatigue in the stuff. He just had a hard time harnessing the strike zone and being efficient, which he normally is. >> Yeah, I, I don't, I didn't, I didn't think laboring to me is a term when guys are sort of locating and they're, they're, it's like a grinding kind of thing. I just didn't think he was locating his pitches last night. I don't know if you want to say that's fatigue or not. If he continues to go out there and not locate pitches and now he's got up and he's short, it's, it's, I think it is. >> Yeah, that's all right. >> It starts, it starts, continue to get shorter like this. He's not a guy that's been really over five or six innings anyways in this season, but if he continues to only go, first off, if he's going four to five innings and only giving up two runs, I think most Braves guys would take that because in reality he is supposed to have been your fifth starter. But I just thought he didn't locate well last night. I don't know if that's a heat thing. I don't know if that's a fatigue thing. I don't know if that's just a, he didn't have it that night thing, which by the way, being pitchers have all the time. So I don't think it's a need to panic last night over innings yet. I do think this six days rest thing has been very good for him and Chris sell. >> Well, I think the reason I bring it up is because of this. If everything stayed the way it has, you would have Ronaldo Lopez. If he stayed on five days rest, which he has because you've had six pitchers thrown, if he stayed on five days rest, he'd be going next Monday. All right, that means he would miss the Philly series. I think if you would like to move him up to four days rest and pitch him on Sunday, that's a big series, right? The problem is on the back end, he's also lined up to make your last start before the all-star break. If he makes two more starts and he stays on that rest, he would make your last start for the also break. So half of me is like, I'd love to move him up and see him against the Phillies. The other half of me is going, I'd love to push him back and make it where he only had one more start before the all-star break and give him even more rest if he actually is fatigued and he is laboring. >> Yeah, I think, honestly, to your point, I think it's a, I don't, the last, take it. Well, the last part of your statement, stricken from the record. >> Yeah. >> I don't care if I don't care about that. I want him to have the rest, right? Because to me, what's most important is having him in August and September and then figuring out a plan for him in the playoffs and whatever you want to use for him. I am fine with getting Schwellenbach, that's another, a start in that Philadelphia series. >> Same. >> Because you know what? Hit the freaking ball. And that's what worries me about the Philly series because they're missing Harper, they're missing Real Mute, they're missing >> Swarber. >> Swarber. But guess what? We're missing Harris, we don't have Ronnie, we don't have Strider. Adam Duvall is, he is what he is right now. I don't know if R.C.S. tooth is gonna be better by then, I'm assuming it would be. But like, you know, and he's not been very good from the plate as it is. >> Let's hit the front page. >> One, two, three. It's time to take a look at today's top headlines. This is the front page on the morning shift. >> The Atlanta dream falls to the Chicago sky, 85 to 77. And in this one, it was kind of similar to the loss that they had against New York just a couple days ago, where it was late, it's a late game kind of issue, it seems like. So in the fourth quarter in the New York game, they were down 60 to 59. And this game against the sky, Chicago held a 66 to 64 lead with 10 minutes to play, and then all of a sudden, you know, it's a sky outscoring the dream going on 19 to 13 run in the or in 19 to 13, excuse me, in that fourth quarter. So a little bit of trouble. >> Chicago dominating the boards last night with Angel Reese Cordoso and Don Staley in tow in the house, you know, able to be there and support some her former players. So really, really cool, but it just got dominated on the boards last night. That was kind of the nature of the game. >> Yeah, well, I mean, Angel Reese, you know, makes makes the All-Star team and she goes out and does what she does. Well, they call on her day day, they double double Queen. >> Double double Queen. Yeah, 11 straight now. >> Yeah, she's been her, her and Caitlin Clark have been everything and more than they were advertised to be coming into this. I know Angel Reese said that she had a lot of doubters in her in her press conference about the All-Star game. I'm not really sure where they're located, because I haven't heard many people doubt her. >> Well, I'll get to that to her. >> Caitlin Clark or Cordoso. >> And then to come out, you can see what the final tallies were for that. >> Yeah, Cardosa and the young lady from Stanford that tore her ACL. >> Brink. >> Brink. They, you know, all four of these guys have been good at times and this Cardosa and Brink have been injured. But look, the dream are going the wrong way. >> Yes, but I will say on a bright note, we're talking about rebounding. Atlanta did win that rebound battle. It was 37 to 34. Tina Charles double double 19 points and 14 rebounds. But still, you can't let Angel Reese do what we all know now that she does best, which is crash the boards. And she can do it. I know when I talked to her, I did the fever game that I had with her. She says she's ambidextrous. She can go attack it. I go after that ball with either hand and and bring it in. So, yeah, tough night. Hopefully they do not keep going in this direction. But yeah, it was not a good way to close out that game for them. Show Hayo Tani will not be participating in the home run, Derby citing rehab. >> Yeah, this is a loss for Major League Baseball. I mean, we talked about this a little bit last week, Tiff, with do we want a guy like Marcelo Zuna participating? Kind of said he would. I asked Grant McCauley on Friday. Bo is like, hey, do you, would you have a problem with it? He said, absolutely not. But look, I have never loved the sluggers for my team, so participating in the home run, Derby. I think when you add in the fact that he's re still rehabbing from the Tommy John, Dave Roberts kind of comes out, you know, the manager, the Dodgers says, I'm sure he'd love to just didn't fit into what his goals were this year. And his goals are to help Los Angeles win a World Series. >> Yeah. And Squid Swimmers make the playoffs. And he's doing that single-handedly trying to pull my team out of the basement in our fantasy league. He is 27th on run last night. Dude, he has been absolutely in Fuego since June started. >> I don't even want to talk about the finish of baseball. I got Harper, Tati, like they're bad. >> My team is so bad. He is the only bright spot for my team right now. >> Yeah, good for you. >> [LAUGH] >> When we come back, let's hear from Bronnie James on his multi-year guaranteed contract with the Lakers. Did he always envision playing with his father? He'll give you that answer on the other side when we come back here on the morning shift on sports radio 929 the game. [MUSIC] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] >> I bet you like this song too, Mike. >> No, I'm good. >> Are you sure Mike? It sounds like something you're just saying to. >> Well, it is good. >> Yeah, we know how you are with your taste of your music. Yeah, we're gonna make a top five mic list of music. >> Yeah, you like things that sound like kid bops. >> First of all, I was a kid back when most of the songs came out and stuck in a ball yesterday's list was about what Bo was singing, not what I was singing. What Bo was singing, what Bo was singing. It wasn't a top five list of songs I love. It was what Bo loved. >> Don't change the conversation, Mike. Tiffany's right. You like boppy songs. What you did was you compiled a list of the garbage. First of all, we're not talking about hooding the blowfish. We're talking about the list you compiled for me and you took songs and you probably did the same thing for Tiffany last week. And you compiled songs that you like and tried to push them on us. >> That's exactly what happened. >> That's right. >> That's right. >> That's right. Not good songs. Songs you would be singing, not songs you'd be jamming to. >> But I wasn't. I wasn't. You know what? I played a lot. >> Tiff, your list was spot on. I don't know what's funny. You know what's funny? Y'all are talking about being boppy. Tiff had DMX in there. You had Jayce. >> Whoa, what are you talking about? >> That's what I'm saying. Don't tell me like boppy music made these lists boppy. >> Jayce, I'm going to bring this back on track here because we have a lot to get to in this segment which is brought to you by Morgan and Morgan injured higher Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm. All right, Bronnie James signing a multi-year guaranteed contract with the Lakers. That's according to Sean Charnia and according to other reports as well. So the question was asked, they did a press conference. The question was asked if he ever thought about playing with his dad and let's take a look at what Bronnie had to say. >> You know, I always try to put that narrative of me trying to get my name out for myself, but just coming in and trying to get better. You know, Rob has told me that there's a great development system here. So I just want to come in and get my work in and get better every day. But I never really had a thought of, you know, me going to play with my dad, but that's always, you know, there to take part of. But it wasn't a main focus among it. >> I never thought about playing with my dad, but I only worked out for two teams, one of which my dad has played for for the last five to six seasons. Plus he sounds just like his dad. >> He does sound just like his dad. >> I mean, he sounds identical to LeBron. And give kudos real quick. Give kudos to LeBron and his wife, Savannah, standing in the back. They didn't make the moment. And I think LeBron has had enough moments. And this is probably part of it where he did not make this about him. >> Yeah. >> So the way I love that, I think that that is such a classy move. But go ahead. >> Well, I was going to say I'm going to get out of the way because I've already given my thoughts on LeBron on Bronnie last week when all this was kind of playing out in the draft was going on. And you didn't get a chance to speak on it, but it's a mixed bag for me. I don't have a problem at all with the Lakers drafting LeBron James. I don't even have a problem if LeBron directed them to do that. I have a problem where Rich Paul comes into play and Rich Paul is phoning team saying do not draft Bronnie. And he's also telling people we are not signing a two way contract. That is not something that's going to happen. So it's cool when it just happens kind of organically. If you want to draft Bronnie because listen, his dad's there and you think it's a cool story. It's an entertainment business, but where Rich Paul comes into play is kind of where I got sidetracked with it. So I am curious to kind of hear your thoughts because we haven't heard from you yet since all the Bronnie James stuff. I don't mind, I would say 80% of it. It is what it is. I think I would love to be in a position where I get my son drafted to my team, but that's just not going to be possible. >> Well, I think you nailed it there for me. I completely agree with everything you said right there about. I don't really care if LeBron said it or not. I have no issues with that. The issues I have is where you try to tell all of us we're idiots and we're dumb and we don't know what we just saw. I don't care about the nepotism part, whatever, who cares? Like it's happened for so often. >> Thank you. >> The fact that I don't that I don't like nepotism, but I see it in our industry very much nepotism is rampant in our industry. What I don't like is telling me, I didn't really think about playing my dad. Yes, you did. You worked out for two teams. Your agent is your dad's best friend. Okay. What I care about is the fact that JJ Redick had he not taking this job would be murdering the Lakers. >> All over this. >> You just, the fact, how many players, and this is not a knock on what he went through because I understand it was a huge health scare, but how many people can go through the heart condition that he did, play 25 games and average less than five points, I think, in those games, in college, basketball, and be drafted second and get a guaranteed contract and not even a two-way deal. That has nothing to do with other than the fact of who your dad was. And you know what? I don't give a damn. Just don't tell me I'm stupid and I'm not seeing what I'm seeing. We all see it. That's fine. I hope Bronnie goes out there and proves everyone wrong for doubting that. He does have doubters. That is real. But just say, you know what? I'm lucky. I grew up with Bronz's kid. I got the best coaching ever. And I'm going to go ahead and prove to y'all that I'm going to earn and deserve this. And that's fine. And he said some of that. Just don't say the obvious things that are so blatantly obvious and say, that's not true. >> Market is date down. July 3rd, I agree with everything he just said. >> That's right. Same. >> Mark it down. >> Same. >> Well said. >> Let's set a TV's two-part timeout. >> Now let's take a look at what's going on in Tiffany's world. The same front with TV's timeout on the morning shift. >> Brought to you by maximumcashhomebuyers.com. Fair cash offers for as is homes. Don't waste your time with repair. Call 678-902-2000. >> All right. Going to condense this because two things came up. I know we were talking WNBA earlier. And so I wanted to get into the fan voting for the WNBA All-Star ballot. And then I also want to talk about Jesse Chavez and some t-shirt action. So with WNBA, when you look at the voting, fan voting, by the way, Kaitlyn Clark came in at number one with over 700 well over 700,000 votes. And then you had Alia Boston with over 600,000. Just behind her is Asia Wilson with just over 600,000. Brianna Stewart, 424,000. And some change. And Angel Reese with 381,000. Those are the top five, right? And I was looking at different takes about this list. Is Kaitlyn deserving? Yes. The only questions I have I think would be because Asia Wilson is dominant. >> I think one of the best players in the league. >> In the world? Yes. That's why I only like why. But again, this is all the fan voting thing. So why wasn't she number one? But again, I don't have an issue with anybody on this list at all. It was just kind of like, you know, but that's what the fan voting gets you because I know we've seen this in what NFL and certainly with with the MLB. I know we're talking about that not too long ago. Just how the fans are, you know, I think NASCAR is a great example where the best driver or the best athlete, the best player doesn't always get the most fan book. Delaware, Jr., and Chase Elliott. I'm a huge Dell Jr. fan. And Chase. I did say Chase. I'm no, I'm a Ryan Blaney fan. Chase Elliott, they have won the fan vote, I think consecutively for the last 20 years. And and Chase had a championship, but they have been consistently the best drivers. >> Yeah. Noah Grickson wins it wins it this year, which was just out of left field because everybody else that everybody else that would have wanted actually made their way into the all-star race. >> Yeah. Yeah. So it's just, it's one of those weird things. And it's, listen, for a lot of, for a lot of this stuff, and I think the reason it happens, Tiff, is because there's no like age limit, right? If you have a phone, if you're a 10 year old girl and you're watching the TV and you go vote, right? And the name that you keep seeing appear on all these shows is Caitlyn Clark. And so I think that, look, you get a lot of that. I think it's, it's good and bad, but it's great to the point where she's growing the game for some of these younger kids. But at the same time, this is what you're going to get. It's, and it's not always deserving. It's an imperfect science. So it is what it is. >> Fan voting. All right. So to Jesse Chavez and your Braves, he is not out here campaigning in these streets to try to be MLB all-star, but it's nice to see you and your teammates have your back and think that you are worthy of that kind of caliber of award. And so they have Braves, they basically have Chavez 24, kind of like a play of the whole election thing, but the guys were rocking these shirts. Yesterday, I just show in support for their guy. And so I think it's, I think it's great to see. >> Do you have a picture? I can't remember what it says about a kid coach to, does it get coach to Texas? >> That's his nicknames. A coach is his nickname. And I just clicked it. So I'm trying to open up the bigger picture. >> I think it says get coach to Texas long because the officer game obviously in Arlington. >> Yeah, it says get coach to Texas. >> Yeah, I love that, man. I love, first of all, I love the whole moniker. I love the entire Jesse Chavez story. And I was making a joke earlier. I was like, well, he gave, but you know, a tater yesterday. And by the way, we hadn't even talked about that. The guy hits a homerun, doesn't know where the ball is Jesse Chavez. He literally hits it and he's like looking in foul territory, looking up. And he's like, where'd it go? And all of a sudden it lands in the chop house. So that's unfortunate. But I love the Jesse Chavez story for so many different reasons. A number one, the fact that he has almost only been good with the Atlanta Braves. And I think that this is time to shine. If it is his last year, man, I'd love to see him go out with an all-star. >> 17th season, and he has a 1.5, one ERA in 27 appearances. >> Yeah. And he couldn't make, I think, the White Sox spring training. >> Yeah, I was shocked at sunlight. >> He couldn't make them out of spring training. He's been so good with the Braves. And it's just crazy how he goes somewhere else comes back to the Braves. He's dominant. I hope he makes it. He deserves it. He was going to make it last year, and he breaks his leg right around this time. I think maybe a week or two earlier than this, but he broke his leg right around this time last year. And it basically cost him. And I think that is why you see that Roto world and all these, and put these, made these shirts, and now that the Braves are wearing them. >> So pretty cool. I guess I did line up with the WNBA staff, because it's all fan voting. >> I thought that's why you did it. I thought that's why you did it. I was like, man, good for you, all-star voting right to the forefront. This is one of those things where, listen, the fan voting can be a good thing if it before it got that way. >> You know, when we come back here, you guys want to break down your concerns about the Falcons and position groups, or are they concerns? You guys want to have a discussion? I guess. >> Training camps almost here. >> You know, this hour brought to you by Morgan and Morgan injured, higher Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury in law front. We will be right back here on the morning shift on sports radio night tonight in the king. >> I bet you like this song too, Mike. >> No, I'm good. >> Are you sure, Mike? Sounds like something you're just saying to. >> Well, it is good. >> Yeah, we know how you are with your taste of joyous music. Yeah. We're gonna make a Top 5 Mindless of music. You like things that sound like kid bops. >> First of all, I was a kid back when most of the songs came out. And second of all, yesterday's list was about what boat was singing, not what I was singing. >> What boat was singing? >> It wasn't a Top 5 List of songs I love. It was what boat was. >> Don't change the conversation, Mike. You know, Tiffany's right. You like Boppy songs. What you did was you compiled a list of garbage. First of all, we're not talking about hooding the blowfish. We're talking about the list you compiled for me. And you took songs and you probably did the same thing for Tiffany last week. And you compiled songs that you like and tried to push them on us. >> That's exactly what happened. >> That's right. That's right. >> That's right. Not good songs. Songs you would be singing, not songs you'd be jamming to. >> But I wasn't. I wasn't. You know what? I played a lot. >> Tiff, your list was spot on. I don't even know what it's funny. Y'all are talking about being Boppy. Tiff had DMX in there. You had Jayce. >> Whoa, what are you talking about? >> That's what I'm saying. Don't tell me how like Boppy music made these lists Boppy. >> Jayce, I'm gonna bring these back on track here because we have a lot to get to in this segment, which is brought to you by Morgan of Morgan of injured hire Morgan of Morgan America's largest injury law firm. All right, Bronnie James signing a multi-year guaranteed contract with the Lakers. That's according to Sean, and according to other reports as well. So the question was asked, they did a press conference, question was asked if he ever thought about playing with his dad. And let's take a look. So what Bronnie had to say? >> You know, I always try to put that narrative of me trying to get my name out myself. But just coming in and trying to get better, you know, Rob has told me that there's a great development system here. So I just want to come in and get my work in and get better every day. But I never really had a thought of, you know, me going to play with my dad. But that's always, you know, there to take part of. But it wasn't the main focus of monitor. >> I never thought about playing with my dad, but I only worked out for two teams, one of which my dad has played for for the last five to six seasons. Plus he sounds just like his dad. >> He does sound just like his dad. >> I mean, he sounds identical to LeBron. And give kudos real quick. Give kudos to LeBron and his wife, Savannah. >> Savannah, standing in the back. They didn't make the moment. And I think LeBron has had enough moments. And this is probably part of it where he did not make this about him. So I had it's cool when it just happens kind of organically. Like if you if you want to draft Bronnie because, you know, listen, his dad's there and you think it's a cool story. I don't care about the deputism part, whatever. Who cares?
