This is the Goradio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 0808 1717 700. And the big news today is that Calla McGregor has announced that his international career is over at the young age of 31. 63 caps, three goals. The Celtic captain called it quits today, said he spoke with manager Stevie Clark during the week. Obviously, he spoke with Brendan Rogers. We'll hear his reaction in a moment or two. Craig Moore is here who's got many caps for Australia, Mark Guidi, top pundit in the country as well. Craig, what would you say first of all about Calla McGregor? Seems a really quick international career, but can you understand it? Absolutely. First and foremost, it's been a wonderful career for Calla McGregor. But I think in terms of prolonging his football in general, the schedules are a tough one to bounce from club to country. So I think that that is a consideration. And you will now focus on doing his very best for Celtic. But I think it's a good decision at the right age. And it's also even as a player, and I think Calla will be going through this at times. You've got to think, you know what, I've done my bit. And it's now time to pass it back on to younger players to go and have their moments to go and shine for the national team, Paul. Mark seems like no time at all when you revealed that he would be playing for Scotland. He came into it relatively late, didn't he, for as an international, just 2017. So he was 24 at that point. But what a career for the Celtic captain. Yeah, he's been superb, Paul, for Scotland, the national team. He's played it to European championship finals under Steve Clark, 63 caps. It was a mainstay of that Scottish side. But he's made a decision at his age. And I can talk and understand why. And the Brendan Rodgers, Scott Brown, made a similar decision as well. And you think, Calla McGregor, I've not tallied the up, Paul, but it often plays more than 55, 50 games a season. So this will give him, as we all know, that we break in September, and we break October, and we break in November. And at his age, when he's a mainstay of the Celtic team, a lot of pressure on his shoulders on and off the part is captain. It will do him the world of good. That said, big blow off the national team. That is a big blow to Elizabeth. He said today, I've made a decision, which was very difficult, of course. But I feel it's the right one at the right time. It was very important. I spoke to Steve Clark. I did it during the week to make him aware of my intentions. As I said to Stevie, it's just the right time now for me to move on from international football. It's been a huge honour to achieve 63 caps for my country, appearing even once would have been a dream come true. So to get 63 to be inducted into the role of honour at 50 caps is something I could only have dreamed of as a young kid. Throughout my career, Callum McGregor said I wanted to make myself available for Scotland all times, and my goodness he did. And whenever selected, give the absolute maximum possible to help the country and represent the supporters with passion and pride. So his first cap against Netherlands in November 2017, a friendly mark, as you know, his last just a month and a half ago against Hungary in 2024. He said international football has been a really important part of my career. I've learned so much achieved some incredible highs. That famous night in Serbia being one of the very best, and I've been blessed to share these experiences with some great people. Playing for Scotland always meant so much to me. Reaching two major tournaments will always be a source of real pride and scoring at Hamden in the Euros. In front of a fantastic support, will always be a special highlight for me. Of course, like many others, I wish we could have gone further in these competitions. But nonetheless, it's been a privilege to have played for my country in such a stage and to have represented my country for such a long period. So he then thanks the players and the managers that he's played under. Mark, it's been quite a career. Are we going to see more people going at relatively young age as a changing in the guard in this team? Yeah, I mean, I think it'll be Callum of no, his own body better than anybody else. So, you know, we'll have picked up weaker and niggles here and there. He's been out a couple of times, but within the past two or three years as well. They probably just think, you know, I've done my bit and he's a kind of guy. You can tell the poll we know, unless he was 100% committed. If he's bored, he feels 100% and mentally, he feels 100%. He wouldn't have had Scotland on. He wouldn't have let down Steve Clark on any of his teammates either. So he decided to call it a day. You've got to respect that it's unfortunate because there's no doubt he could still give the national team in our three or four years if he wanted to. But this is his decision. He focused on club football and we would respect that. And the thing for the thing, we've got Billy Gilmore coming through. We'll have Lewis Ferguson coming back soon. So we are strong in the midfield area. Well, anybody else there? Andy Robertson said one or two injuries. He's a skipper. He's 30. He's a year younger thing. Andy will give it this World Cup campaign as a few of them will then they might review it because everybody wants to see Scotland get back to World Cup. I don't know in Callum's case, but I do know some of the players, some of the senior players, they feel really bad about what happened in the euros. I think they felt that they would do better. They gave everything, but it didn't happen for us for whatever reason and that they, well, they might want to go out and do it again, try and get that World Cup qualification, but it must be tough for them. And the demands of playing, he played more games than anyone in Europe season before last. It's phenomenal. It must be great you to do it. You'd also to travel around the world. How tough is it as you get to your 30s playing club and country? It's extremely tough because there's no rest and there's a lot of travel and again, because Callum's a competitor. I was a competitor. You don't want to just go and travel and be part of the squad. So you're there to start and to play matches. So therefore, people are always trying to clip at your heels and all that sort of stuff and take your position. So it's that intensity and it just doesn't stop. But he's coming into that age where again, probably the same time, I kind of retired because again, another cycle you're thinking, well, yeah, you can get there, but again, some great memories and you kind of think tap into that because you're not always going to go beyond, I guess, what the team's achieved in the last three, four years, two major tournaments. You might go a period where you're not qualifying. The Asian Cup for me, Paul, come about and that was going to be more traveling. So that's when I kind of bowed out from the national team because it was too much and you get to a stage as well. You're a little bit older, you know, time with family is precious on those particular breaks and more importantly, more importantly, I think to keep that love and passion for the game, there is a time where you need to step away and then that focuses now with his football club. So they're going to hugely benefit as well. If you want to pay tribute to the former Scotland player, Callum McGregor, still very much the Celtic captain, but he announced today his retirement from international football, 08, 08, 17, 17, 700. What was one of your highlights seeing? I mean, he mentioned there that night in Serbia, when we went through the David Marshall, save will never forget it from Meet Travitch. Give us a call. Mark Greedy is here, so too, it's Craig Moore, because we've got a weekend of non-stop football. But last year, just before we go to that here, it's Brendan Rogers speaking this afternoon about the decision of Callum McGregor. Yeah, listen, he's had a great, what, seven years with Scotland 63 caps from a selfish perspective, of course, for Celtic. It's really good news because he will recover, he gets the chance to recover. I think you all know the number of games that he plays. So this will give him those little opportunities to have a breather, because he's really intense, Callum, and that's what I love about him, and his appetite to improve. He never has a day off ever, even if he has a free day, he's either recovering, he's thinking about the game. So these little windows that he will have will give him the chance to do that. But a fantastic career he's had for his country, he can be very proud of that. And now getting into this next part of his career, he has always focused on Celtic. And he was asked, is it too much for players, the number of games? Domestically, European football and internationally? Well, I think the top players that are playing lots of games and lots of international games, it is becoming a challenge for them. I would go for saying it's virtually becoming like a lot of business. It's really football, it's like a 12-month season. And we may find that going forward, that you may have to look to give players rest and breaks somewhere in the 12 months. It might not necessarily be in the summer or or whenever, because they're playing so much. And I think he's seen that a little bit in the girls. I think he's seen a tiredness and a whole raft of teams and players. But I think in terms of Calum's position, he was very clear on what he wanted to do. And as I said, he can look back with many great memories as a Scotland player. And now concentrate totally on Celtic and his family. All right, Celtic fans, as this to your advantage, well, it must be that he's going to be available and not involve, because the internationals, as we know, start again next month. Oh, 808, 17, 17, 700. We're going to get down to this weekend. And there is some transfer news. It hasn't broken yet, but Brendan Rogers is speaking quite openly about his thoughts and what he's going to be asked about, Eda. And he's going to talk about that in a few moments and also about Matt O'Reilly. It looks as though that £25 million bid is in from Brighton, and could he be on his way to the Premier League? And for Rangers, chat a bit toward Cantwell, but in some ways, I'm going to say, have you decided he's gone really? But the manager was asked about him this afternoon. So we'll also give you Team News ahead of the weekend games. But what about Kelly? Last night, and St. Marin, both of them drawing. Kelly, 2-2 with Tromzo, and St. Marin, 1-1 with Bran. And, Matt, first of all, where we go to the New Love Street. It was a late, late goal, the Sabola Sanja. 90 plus two minutes, so it's a lifeline. Yeah, very important, not to lose a home game. Paul, so it's keeping the tie alive. Sippman won't get a good lift from that. I think Sippman Goldkeeper had a wonderful game, but I think Sippman won. The fact that they kept hanging in there, I think they were worthy of taking that tie back to Norway. So hopefully they'll get the job done. You're just supposed to be a bit more European experience. Paul, we'll be a bit more know-how, but certainly can't be ruled out and credit to them for keeping going to the last kick of the ball. Ellery Bulkham, you pointed out in the office beforehand, you're impressed. Yeah, and I think he's made an excellent start to the season. Makes big saves, and I think he's going to save some room a lot of points throughout the season. But in particular, this match against Bran, he again had to make good saves. So Marin, Mark, as you said, they hung in the match, and to get that late equaliser, a good result for him because probably over the course of the 90 minutes, Bran were far superior and controlled the game. But Paul passes, don't make goals. They had the ball. They passed it about a lot, but probably weren't ruthless enough in front of Gold themselves. But I think for some mirroring to go away, it's going to be a great experience, one that they haven't had a lot of. But I think that Bran probably going to be too strong in this return leg. And Craig, what about Kelly? Similar story in a way, it's a draw, it's 2-2, and it was a late-leak goal by the young sub. Bobby Wales-Kell Vassell had scored in six minutes, so they're going to goal up into one-done. What do you think off to Tromsall for next week, 2-2? Again, I think that what both clubs have done is allowed themselves to stay in the fight. Anything can happen, Paul. It's about going over there and starting well, especially when you're away from home. It's really important to start first 15-20 minutes, try and bed yourself down into the game and not concede. And if they can manage to do that, then anything is possible. I think over the both legs for both the teams, they're going in as not the favourites, but that doesn't mean that they can't progress. Yeah, I mean, I think that they've both got a good chance, but I would fancy commandant, probably more than somebody. But bigger picture, it's just so important for our clubs to win games in Europe, Paul. We really are in a perilous position. Moving forward in terms of champions league access, the amount of teams that we get in, because quite frankly, as we all know, our results in European football have been deplorable. In recent years, my men just have carved out some fantastic results over the past five or six seasons on the European stage and got another one the other night away from home to dinner OK, but some of our Scottish clubs have lost to inferior opposition games that you shouldn't be losing. We need to be qualifying for the group stages, Paul. So we need our teams to be getting through it. Otherwise, we're going to be way way down the list in European football. Three weeks to go in the transfer window, we'll just see down south spurs have agreed 65 million to sign Dominic Solanki. They said it's going to be him arriving, Tony. You don't often see spurs spending that kind of money. And I just mentioned that in the context of Scotland, Celtic and Rangers, Celtic, I suppose, particularly given that it looks as if they're going to get what 25 million or they're abouts for Matt O'Reilly. He's been in Rogers speaking about the Matt O'Reilly situation, but first of all, you broke that news on Monday that it was Brighton wearing with a really serious intent to try and get them. Yeah, brightening up here to be the favourites just now, Paul, but the positive for Celtic, if you're late, I know it's a negative if you lose them, but the positive in terms of finance, there's a wee bit of an auction get going. And the bids have actually get serious because up until now, the bid from Atlanta and Southampton have been about 15, 16 million, Celtic went out and looked in and out. They've now got into the mid 20s, which is more realistic, so Celtic are actually looking seriously at it. And it's leading to an inevitable conclusion, which will be Matt O'Reilly leaves the club. I said Monday, I think, probably within seven days, I'll stick to that because the clubs down the road will want them in. Good bit of movement starting to now, Paul, because the league season kicks off a week tomorrow or a week tonight, I think it's the first game, actually. So, yeah, I'd expect Matt O'Reilly to be a fantastic money for Celtic to get absolutely fantastic money, but a real blow, a real blow to the team because he's an outstanding player. So he's not gone yet if you're just tuning into the Go Radio Football Show, but Brendan Rogers this afternoon, it was asked what's the contingency if he goes? Yeah, but we have to, again, part of improving our squad is getting other players of quality in. So you always have to have that ready. You have to be braced for that. It can't be a surprise. We don't want Matt to go. I think that's first and foremost. I know the club's model and how it works, but there's absolutely no rush to move Matt, or we would love him to be here and to stay here. And I can see it in himself. He's really happy. But, of course, if you have the chance to change the conditions in your life and a club makes enough of great value then, then, of course, you have to look at it. But yeah, there always has to be that in place for sure. If he goes, he'll be a huge loss. We'll talk about the recruitment in a moment, but he was asked about Adam Ida, the headlines this morning, that they seem to be in the ballpark of about six million with add-ons for the Irish striker. I'm hoping, by the end, the window that that can be done with some others. But, yeah, God willing, and that we can get that sorted along with one or two other players. Very spiky speaking about Adam either there. That's as close as you get to confirmation. Yeah, I mean, he wouldn't, normally, the lawyers wouldn't speak about it. So he has been specific, though. It suggests to me it's as good as done. This time last week, it was saying a bit prevalent on the adult he was saying within hours. So they know that, basically, there's an agreement between the clubs, the two clubs. It's been a bit haggling, um, growing. Yeah, you'd probably find that the ballpark will be 77 and a half, which I think is a really good deal for Celtic. But, you know, just what Brendan Rogers said there, and how he said it, sounds to me, he's as if he's exasperated with the transfer window so far in terms of, he didn't want any deals done sooner, he didn't want any more quality in the door, so that he's been asking for quality players, Paul. So since the start of September last year, when he basically came out and not too many of us basically said, I wasn't happy with the plays that were brought in, the seven or eight project players, albeit to a theme of come good. Then in January, they wanted four quality players. They're still waiting. Yeah, still waiting. And it's a club that's got plenty of finances here to go and broaden the net in terms of who they want to go and bring in. So, Bernardo Schmico was brilliant, Bernardo step in the right direction. He does another step in the right direction. But let's not be kidded, Celtic, are in the verge of losing Matt O'Reilly, who's a goalscorer, and the guy who provides many, many assists again. So you're taking that out of the team as well, not just these goals. It has to be replaced by a proper player, not pretty little Bernardo someday of a, of a better milk. I noticed a link with Bobby Clark. Yeah, I was going to ask you about that. From what I know, that is a genuine interest. Bobby Clark, young Bobby, at Liverpool? Yeah, Liverpool. It's a real interest. Something that's been on the radar for four or five months from what I can gather. Again, from what I can gather, the boy is certainly interested to learn more. If Liverpool are willing to let him go, but I think Andy Slott likes him, but he's willing to listen to more in terms of what Celtic would have to offer. It'll be a long deal because I think the minimum fee is 12 million quid for him. Obviously Celtic can't go to that kind of level. But if they could get young Bobby Clark on loan, could play along the midfield, could play up front, quite dynamic. Then I think that would be a real, a really good signing for Celtic if they could get that one over the line. But I think at the moment, Andy Slott hasn't made up his mind when they want to keep the boy and integrate him to his first-team squad or let him go out in loan and gain first-team experience elsewhere. Played with Bobby's father, Lee at Newcastle. Great man as well. But I disagree a little bit, Mark, just in terms of, I think, Brendan, I think when we heard his comments or the clip's interviews leading into the start of the season, I felt that it was the most confident I've heard. Brendan Rodgers going into a season. He was so confident. Of course, they would all love to do earlier business. But for me, it come across in a way that we're in a good space and we're going to be in an even better space. It's not happened just now, but it will happen. The matter royally thing, of course, the transfer, that's going to happen. And the reason why that's going to happen is one, Celtic will get the money that they would like. And they're in the position, that's a strong position to get exactly what they would like. But part of the sale of players coming to Celtic is we're going to develop you, you're going to be successful, you're going to be exposed to European football. And we're going to sell you. So it's important that they fulfill their words to the players. So I think, like I said, that's why I think the matter royally situation has been a couple of windows now where there's been loads of speculation. So I think that's kind of prep the supporters for this is going to happen. Now is the time where it is going to happen. But I think Brendan, like I said, I think he's in a good space. I agree with you. We both said that last Friday night, this time last week on the eve of the season, we should have sounded really confident in terms of what I think his confidence was about as in we are going to win the league. We are going to do full. I'm really confident of where we are in terms of looking at the level of the opposition, Rangers, et cetera. I think he felt Celtic and will agree. Celtic is a really good space to go on win the league this season. The point I made of it, I'm sounding exasperated was in terms of the transfer window this season. So two different things. Two different things. He's talking about signing, not arriving as yet. On the verge of losing one of his very best players, albeit fantastic. So my money, they cannot knock back. But he'll still be confident of winning the league, but he wants it to be more. I mean, let's be honest, the look for a left-sided center half. If they're not, they should be with the great respect to Liam Scales. I've been looking for over a year for some of the challenge Greg Taylor. Now, I'm very comfortable with Greg Taylor as a first choice. So for some of the community push him that's willing to be a reserve left-back sort of thing. Great. He's looking for two strikers. They've added meters over line fine, but he's still looking for another one, and he may well be looking for another quality. Why play? So I agree with the point of the confidence, but I was taught a bit just specifically the transfer window. I'll tell you what, Mark, we'll hear more from him on recruitment in a moment or two straight after the break. Greg, you'll be interested to hear it as well. We're going to hear from Philip Clemont and also from Robin Propper. It's Paul Cooney with Mark Whitty and Craig Merk English. Well, the EFL gets underway, doesn't it? Tomorrow, the championship and the first and second division. And obviously this weekend, the community shield. Does that what it's called now? It used to be the charity shield. Yeah, that's just a dub again. Yeah, it does indeed. But here in Scotland, we kick off tonight. Of course, there's two games in our championship, Air United against Air Dream and Queen's Park against Livy. And then tomorrow, Dunfermland against Volkuk. Volkuk's invisible. What I started they had last weekend. Yeah, motion against Hamiltonakis. Lizzlin will be there, and race rovers against Partic Thistle. In the top table tomorrow ranges against Malibu three, Ross County against Dundee United and Dundee against Hartz. We're going to hear more, I promise, we've got more there on Brendan Rodgers and recruitment at Celtic. But Craig, I want to say, what about your old team Rangers the other night? Most people thought this was going to be really tough against animal cave. But my goodness, much criticised. I see Barry's talking about him this morning in the paper. Said he'll desert last kick of the ball, one one. Well, in the end, it's a fantastic result for Rangers to be able to bring the game back. And being a strong enough position. I think Rangers would be delighted with that. There's been a lot of discussion around about the squad. Already this season about the strength of it. You know, Cideal Desser is another one that comes up all the time for a debate around about is he good enough for Rangers? I mean, the improvement that I think he would clearly even know himself is that the amount of chances that he gets for Rangers, he needs to be finding a way to convert more of those chances. But he scored a very important one there against Kiev Paul. So again, strikers are very much all about confidence. And to get that goal should give him a lot of confidence and gives Rangers a fight and chance in what was, you know, and still is a very, very tough draw. Champions League season two years ago was tough for Rangers. No question. We know it. But apart from that, the record has been remarkable the past five or six years. What is it about it? I mean, almost everyone, Rangers fans falling in here were really worried going into the game. I think you were too. What is it about European football? I think we're with European football is just it's not as hell to skill to. There's a little bit more time on the ball. There's a little bit more patience. And I think that the way that Rangers actually play even domestically is they're not going. Rangers are not going home. You know, they're very, they're very, they try to stay very organized. They try to stay compact. They don't necessarily throw a huge amount of numbers forward. They don't leave themselves man for man at the back and white sort of stuff. So there's less risk, I think, to the way that Rangers play. And therefore that gives them an opportunity to bed down into matches, Paul. And then again, it's the moments within the matches. And we've seen it over the last couple of years. And, you know, especially the games here in Scotland or an eye blocks where you managed to get that first goal, the lift from the supporters and the noise in the stadium. And it really is a 12th man, Paul, really has been strong to be able to get the team over the line in some really tough times. But I've seen the away game against Brussia Dortmund on the way to the Europa Cup final. There wasn't a Rangers fan in that stadium that felt Rangers could win that much before the ball was kicked. It was one of the best performances kind of seen. And it was a huge surprise. Kent was on fire and all that. So it's strange, but it has suited Rangers. But the Champions League, the Champions League is a different kettle of fish. I think the gap now between those top teams, to our Rangers to potentially even a Celtic, it's getting bigger and bigger. Here's what the manager said about that performance and the draw the other night. I don't think only the results, it's not only about that, it's also about the way because the players played a good game from the start because we started really well that game also. So it was not like in the last minute you scored an equaliser out of nowhere. We had at the end six good chances and they had three good chances. So that's the most important thing and then the results follow. So it's confirmation that week by week the team is getting better and players get better physical levels, players coming out of injury, getting better, players coming in, get to know each other better, getting physically better. So that's the way we're going to continue the next weeks and months. That's why I said also we're going to be of course better in October and November. It's a logical thing. Mark, it's a huge result for Rangers and for the fans going to Hamden tomorrow. Yeah, yeah. It was a great result for Rangers, Paul. You don't go or go down defensively how Rangers considered the goal. I'm sure we'd have been concerned to Philippe Clemente, not good enough. But they stayed in the game and you know, we're on the show on Monday night myself and Peter Grant, we say that's all you want to do away from home, potentially a really difficult tie for Rangers. I didn't think I thought they would lose the game. So to come back with a score draw, Gray, and I'm pleased for Cyril Desser's, I really am. I think we're saying this show a number of times when you hear him being interviewed, really honest guy, a guy that cares, a guy that never causes you in moments, trouble. You know, he's no one of these guys at once or the focus they've on himself and a really good teammate. And he does get a lot of chances and takes right. I mean, you could do the hat trick at 10 Castle and sort of the shooter for the hat trick. You think there's some of the chances that he's missed, but he's a best at Rangers. I've got at the moment. There's quite a lot of trust there from Philippe Clemente to go and play him. And it gives Rangers a great chance on Tuesday night. Still a lot of hard work to be done, Paul. A lot of hard work, but I have to say that looking at the teams on Tuesday night, a fancy Rangers at hand and Tuesday night, I couldn't understand why he didn't make a absolutely leathered part of the Zambo grade, because I really expect something a bit special for me, didn't really see it at all. A decent team, but not, I would even say a good team, just a decent team. So I think it's there for Rangers for the taking and Tuesday night, Greg. Yeah, again, I think that being at home, and I know it's not home, but it gives you a wonderful opportunity. And I do think Rangers are favorites in this match, just because it's here in Scotland. And I see Deserts paying for haircuts for some Rangers fans. That was a nice touch, wasn't it? Nice touch, yeah. And that's what it marks, touches on though. He seems like a really nice guy, and trust is another important word there. Philippe Clemente obviously has huge trust in this player. I don't think we've seen the best of, so in terms of where he can get through, if he can get to, you know, being able to score three and five, for example, at the moment, he's still one or two. So if you can make that improvement, certainly he's never going to let you down with his effort. On transfers, we know that Philippe Clemente said a few weeks ago that Todd Cantwell had asked for a transfer request earlier, probably the end of last season. Then again, just before this season, reports now that he could be on his way to Turkey. I cannot give any more information. No, it's a rumor. I don't know how close it is or not. No idea. Is he off-screen? Do you reckon he is? I think he's definitely off. Whether or not, although that's again, I think you listen to Clemente, he doesn't know anything. Well, he would be the person that would be hearing things if a club has generally come in for Cantwell. For me, he's not going to be a miss. You know, he's a talent, but for me, it comes with too many, too many other things. And I just think that what job he's required for ranges and everybody within that building is about focus, is about togetherness. He, for me, looks a little bit as if he's for himself. Looked as though he's off to Trebspawn Sore, which I always find tough to say. We're joining John Lynch over there. And Mark, what about Janis Haggie? Also, looks as though he'll be going. 25-year-old came with such promise, played in the Euros, but he's off-skis well, probably. Yeah, I think these are the guys that ranges weren't off the wage bill. Paul and I think a chance for your fee for them. Yeah, the better. Janis Haggie, a really good talent, the really bad injury a couple of years ago. Then he went out and loaned last season. So, yeah, there's no future for Janis Haggie at Rangers. There's no future for Todd Cantwell. At Rangers and probably, you know, there'll be one or two more as well before the end of the window. That's what happens. These guys have been getting an opportunity. Bottom line, they've not been good enough to help Rangers win a title. So if you're not, move on, take your baggage, go and replace you with somebody else. And replace these players, mark with the people that want to be at the football club. And their heads are not turning, they're there for the fight, they're there for the job at hand. And they know the challenges that come with the expectations of the football club. They're chasing down and have to chase down a very, very strong Celtic football team. And that is the challenge. Just ahead of the break you were talking about Brendan Rodgers and his feelings just know about recruitment. This is what he said this afternoon. I've said it before, recruitment is vital for success on the football pitch, bringing in the players that allow you to elevate the game and especially when you go up the levels into the Champions League. Your recruitment of players is crucial because especially in the big clubs, you know, if you don't get it right, you have very little chance to put it right. You know, if you don't bring in a player that fits your style and is suitable for the football that you want to play, to improve that player when there's very little training time is very difficult. And that's why you want to get the, not just a player in, but to get the right player in that can bring your game and elevate the team's game. And he's at a sufficient level that then allows you to improve him clearly. But that's absolutely key. So I'm hoping, I've said before, I'm looking at by the end of the window. And that is when you can, George. And I know it's for supporters and they want to see that team on the pitch, absolutely right. And as coaches and managers, we want the players in as quick as we can to get them integrated into the squad, all that. But at the end of it, if we can get to the end of August and have a stronger squad than what we finished last season, it will still be a successful window for us. But the point you're making is absolutely, I totally get that. To have success on the football pitch, you need to recruit and you need to recruit the best possible players that you can if you want to achieve in European football. Mark, really? Yeah. I've said a few times, Paul, when you now reflect on Celtic's transfer window this time last year, there's too many projects. And what a great point that people will forget that Brendan Rogers made. That one sentence, there's very little training time to develop players. So what's happened? And I said that if you take, it is totally unfair and I'm managing any staff to give seven or eight projects sign-ins. You do not have the time to work on these guys. You do not have the staff and numbers to dedicate to it. So what you do as a manager, you will assess the seven or eight with your staff and you'll say, okay, between his attitude and his willingness to learn and that level is that we can get a hold of him and we can take him up a notch. And so likes a polar banado, maybe yang to a lesser extent, inherited Liam's scales, but he's going to talk to the person, right, see those boys for whatever reason. We're going to put a shift in with him. We're going to really get them. The rest of the guys, for whatever reason, they're either miles off of it or they don't show the right attitude and they're discarded. And that's absolutely right, Paul. I don't have a problem with that. It's true. But then he's saying, he needs better players, players that are going to elevate the team. And, you know, he has won the title. He has got over the line to bring in this 40 million quid. He has taken Matt O'Reilly to another level to make him a 25 million pound player. So you look at all that. Brendan Rodgers deserves to get the very best that he can and to go and help Colin McGregga, to go and help Cash Per Smykel, to go and help Cameron Carter, Vickers, Kyogo. So you look at what's helped it have lost the past 18 months. Abada, Jack Amakis, Jota, and now potentially, O'Reilly, they've replaced them with inferior players and that needs to change. Do you think you'll get the right kind of replacements by the end of this window? Well, he's made it clear, Paul, and we're saying this isn't something that's just happened in the past couple of weeks. They've known for months and months and months and months. They need somebody to challenge Greg Taylor. They need an upgrade in Liam Scales. They need one, possibly two, other strikers to go and push Kyogo. They need a better wide player. What is our plan? Surely there's a forward-thinking process there. More than later, we're going to lose Matt O'Reilly. What are we doing? Who have we got lined up to replace them? Not another million quid project player for Scandinavia. And he said last year you've been running one project. Yeah, too much. The buildings follow them. It needs to be made and improving your starting 11 because, again, it's not just about the domestic anymore, isn't it? It's about what you can go and try and achieve and how you can improve in Europe. Therefore, you definitely need to improve that starting 11. I was having a little bit of a laugh in terms of Brandon saying the time and the time and how important it is, Mark. Recruitment in Australia. We used to wait to the very, very last minute because it meant we used to have to pay less money. But it just shows you in terms of the difference of comparisons in the leagues and the money and the standards and the expectation. Celtic will get good players in. There's no doubt about that. Whether they're that top echelon player, those players that you've touched on, they've lost. Bernardo, I think, is a good signing. He's somebody that's going to continue to improve. I think what you've got to remember as well is some players, like Koon last year, was an unbelievable. He's already shown as if he's making significant steps and feeling more comfortable within himself and looking fit. But now, again, there's players that you are actually going to see huge improvement from also. Yeah, you should do it. Another thing is we're able to bear in mind. I said, Brandon, I just saw an exaggerated 10 minutes when I made that comment. The Steve weeks to go, the window closes Steve weeks to go. A lot can happen. There can be a lot of positivity. A lot of good things can happen in this window in three weeks to go. I want to play that back because I heard it differently from usual. This is how he answered when he was asked about Adam Media and the fact that Luke Shozodida is coming. Is he going to come? I'm hoping by the end, the window that that can be done with some others. But yeah, God willing, and that we can get that sorted along with one or two other players. Looking for a higher authority to make sure it happens. So somebody finds what are you thinking? O8, O8, 17, 17, 700, Mark? For me, he doesn't sound, I think, yeah, he does as good as over the line. Just that we hear that can appear in the other ones. And Brandon Rogers is very, very clever, Paul. He never just says things for the sake, and he chooses every word carefully. And I'm always wary. It always makes me to sit up and take notice when a manager uses a word hopefully. That is not a positive word to use for me. It's very downbeat, hopefully, hopefully. For me, that's not a good word to use. But let us hear the three weeks to go. Hopefully, God willing, we'll get one or two others over the line. That sounds, at the moment, that sounds a wee bit downbeat for me in terms of, I think, why not? It should be frustrated that other parts of the building looks as though, are not doing their job right to get what they need into this quote. And maybe, again, we don't know. I don't know what's working behind the scenes, you know. But what I do know is personally working in it myself, Paul, the transfer window is absolute madness. It's chaos in the sense of... I mean, just without company and what sort of stuff, it's like there's that many things coming through and you've got to try and prioritize. And then all of a sudden, there's a change of tact. All of a sudden, there was interest in now somewhere else. I think the most important thing that when you're looking to identify a player and you test that early doors, if there's that appetite that the player wants to come to the football club, that's a great start. Because you'll get a lot of players and agents also, and again, I'm an agent where you have people turn on their head right into the very last because they're looking for the best option, the best, maybe financial option, depending on where that player is in terms of his career and the age. Go back to Ange when he was at Celtic. It was all about the character and someone that was coming in that was desperate to go and prove themselves to go to another level. But they want it to be at the football club. They're the kind of people that you want to be identifying. You were in Madrid during the week, is that the kind of gal that could deal? Is that yours? I wish I was. What a great, I was in Madrid. Transfer rooms event, over 200 clubs, looking to obviously conclude business or start opportunities for a new business, sensational, I come across. Is it like a convention? I want to find out more about that because we need to take a break, want to hear more on that, and team news. This is the good ideal football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go. Let's go. Sure, it's been tuned in from Eagle Shimmer. He was saying last night. He laughed when the guys were going to go, but Ross came to. We're running at a time and I was going to go, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay." But we're not really doing well, not yet. Much as we like it. So that's, it got my sense of humor. The Staggies. The Staggies, isn't it? Thanks, Rob. And that one. Yeah, of course, yeah, Rob's from that part of the one. I thought he was great. I heard him in the, I think, the people the other night doing the Rangers commentary, brilliant commentator. Thank you. So Rob. Thank you. Yeah, I'm sure he'll be back with us soon as well when they send me to Radio Dingwall. That'll be sooner than you know. And this weekend, we're talking about the games coming up, looking forward to bringing a bit more from Philippe Clemente. And I want to hear about that symposium you were at in, looking up, symposium in Madrid. It's a brilliant city, wasn't it? It's a poison, wasn't it? That's Spanish for, I'm not going to clue exactly. And last year from the manager, speaking about Jeff Dee, what did he make of him the other night? He's a very talented player. That's why we, we made a big fight during six months to get him here. But from January on, we, we kept a lot of contact with him. And he was really convinced to come to Rangers, although a lot of teams were interested in him, although his team where he was playing wanted to keep him. And another, and a lot of other clubs wanted to sign him, but he was really convinced about the project here with him. And he's a, yeah, he's a very talented player for the future who for sure needs to learn still a lot of things, but it's normally only 20. And he had one year experience in Europe. But he has the right mentality to fight and to be there for the team as a lot of physical and technical qualities. I'm playing a bit higher up when he came on and people might have expected. I thought it was a possibility here, but I didn't think I had to do it now. But if other players don't perform at that moment, at the level they should perform to play, then you need to look for other solutions. Greg, you made that swap? Scott Wright came off on Kim Jeffty. Yeah. And again, the option of this particular player, I think he complies it. Jeffty can play as a left, full back, a left wing back, a little bit further forward. And again, if Scott Wright, I think was the one that came off in this particular match, you need to be on it. You actually need to be on it. You need to be contributing, I think just in terms of those attacking options, poor just work great, it's not enough. You need to be able to create or make a difference in a game of football. Scott Wright probably does that coming off the bench a lot better than starting matches. So yeah, two players for every position. Jeffty is probably not a left winger as such, but Klomont made his point. Scott Wright, you made his point. He made his point. Yeah. But just so you look at Philip Klomont and he's 10 months that he's been in charge of him, he's no shot. He takes some of the off. I think they're not on it. Todd Cantwell has been a victim. Fabio Silver was taking off as well. And a few other sorts of warning, particularly when you're away from home on Europe and you go one down year and a half-time, you're looking for guys that are going to roll up the sleeves. You're looking for something that's going to create that wee bit of brilliance. They've thought that Scott Wright, not on it. Off you come, Jeffty, on you go and he's been impressed. What about Vaclav Cerny? He was asked about him and his fitness. He suddenly played a big part in the goal. I need to see to get results and let players grow and make them better and Vatlav, like I said, I think he had six trainings now. I don't know. So it was before four weeks in holiday. So for him, it's like pre-season up. So people cannot expect him to play 90 minutes for the moment, although he would love to do. But he said also he needed, after every action, some time to recover. And he was a little bit frustrated about that because he wants to be important for the club and then to play more minutes, but he felt also that it was not possible. So we need to take in account those things. That's my job today. Greg Merr, what did you make of Cerny? Really like him. The player that certainly has a lot of confidence, more importantly, has a wand of a left foot. So fantastic delivery and I think he's going to be a very good addition for Rangers. And Clomont is obviously trying to do his best there to manage him back to a situation where he can deliver for the team, but not put him in risk of injury pull, because again, the problems that they've had over the last 12 or so months, you want to make sure that you have players fit. And most importantly, so they can deliver for you on a week-to-week basis. Well, here's the collector's item for you. The next one where the Rangers manager has asked any injury worries after the game the other night. There were no problems after the game. So nobody came back with knocks or injuries. So that's a positive thing and it's important to integrate the new players, to give them minutes. It's also important that we have a game on Tuesday again. So it's looking with which players you want to start. Our players ready for now for 90 minutes and then Tuesday again. So it's making a balance between those decisions. Mark's unusual, but that's good news for the Rangers fans and I'm wondering in the next hour to get your thoughts on the Rangers lineup for the game tomorrow with Motherwell. Mark, it was strange the other night though that Ross McCausland came in from the start. No harm in it, but he wasn't involved at the weekend. Yeah, I liked Ross because of the poor. I think it's a really positive player, obviously, that there's improvement to come. You're still relatively young, but he will have benefited from that. They weren't a first-team action that he got last season and he contributed back out of really good goals for Rangers as well. So I think he's got a big part to play for Rangers moving forward over the next 10 months and it's just him finding that level of consistency as well. Just being a wee bit more aware defensively. Just adding wee bits and bobs to his game, but he's certainly heading the right direction and I think he's a really strong asset for Rangers. We're going to see him a lot this season, do you think, Greg? Yeah, again, he's very reliable. He will never, ever let you down because his work ethic is incredible. He covers a full right flank. So I think in terms of him starting matches regularly throughout the season, I think he's going to be dipped in and dipped out. But one thing that Ross McCausland, he never ever let you down. He leaves it all out there. See, Alex Lawrey's been said to him probably look elsewhere. It just didn't happen for him. That's a shame. Isn't that such a promise? I remember you spoke about him about 18 months ago. Well, again, this is me just being this is not just because it's Rangers of being a football person. When you see someone with real talent, you really want to see them fulfill that and get to the level that you believe that they can. I think that Alex Lawrey was a and still has a chance, but a top-top talent. For whatever reason at this moment in time, he hasn't managed to get through to the level that I think he can play at. But there's some hard work ahead and I think maybe moving away if that is the case, Paul, a fresh challenge where he can get back to join his football and feeling important. But again, it's not about everyone's got to do everything for you. You need to do for you. You need to go in and train will, prepare will, and then deliver. A lot of it is in your hands how you conduct yourself. Dedication. Yeah, you've got to be dedicated. You've got to be disciplined. You've got to be willing to listen to what your coaches are saying, what you're more experienced teammates are telling you. And it is a shame because you look at Alex Lawrey when they did Boston on the scene 18 months to two years ago. And I think what happens in the kind of West of Scotland, Paul, we're Ranger supporters, we sell to support as an ander on media is that because we see fewer and far between coming through the system, we just always brilliant. They'll do this and they'll do that. Maybe we're a bit unfair. Just you'll cut them a bit slack. Don't put them as much in the spotlight and let's see what they're about. But it just goes to show you taste a little bit talent. It has get talent. I don't know all the ins and outs of Alex Lawrey and why it's no harm from it Rangers. But in many cases in Alex Lawrey, maybe one of them, it just shows you it's just not all about talent. It's a bit attitude and it's a bit discipline and it's been absolutely dedicated in making sacrifices. I think there's a few other factors always that play. You need a little bit of luck, of course. You need good management at club level. And as yourself, as a person, you say, great professional, dedicated, want to listen, want to learn and give 100% every single day. But I do remember when he was playing I think in the lowland league mark and I do think it was mismanagement because Rangers were winning six-nil. I think he'd maybe scored two or three goals. It's an 87th minute and he's still on the park. That for me is poor management of a player, of a talented player at that time. And then we heard maybe the things always, because you wanted him to come off in the beat team, getting ready for something in the tank. Absolutely. At six-nil, the game has been and gone. Your star player is off, you protect your star players. We've got a star player here tonight. I'm just checking names here, Marguerite, Greg Moore. That's the news coming up. We do want to hear more about this symposium honestly. No, so was it two for more? CC, after listening to you. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen live weeknights from five on go. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Call Oh wait, oh wait, it's 17, 17, 700. Let's go. Two of our Friday evening Go Radio Football Show, Paul Cooney with the former Rangers. New Castle, United, Crystal Palace, Ebersia, Murchin, Gladbach. Yeah. And more, I know there's more. Very close to you. Yeah, of course. Real Madrid. Yeah, not quite should have been. No. But and he's with us here tonight as is Marc Guedi, distinguished journalist, former president of the Football Writers Association. I don't know how I'm doing all this because there's so much to do in the next 55 minutes or so. And thank you. The downloads have been massive. Seriously guys, more and more people are tuning in and then picking us up on their whatever they get their podcasts. So it's good news, isn't it? Yeah. Absolutely. And with the news in the first hour, we're just looking out for, well, you heard Brendan Rogers saying, "I had to meet you." They spoke about it. It looks as though that's going to happen. And a couple of other two, three, more settings to come before the end of the window. For Rangers, we heard Philippe Plimong, clean up bill of health for the players. Yes. Things are either way, but the cold hope is okay. It does. It has to be seen me flying about and stuff. And you do it all the time, Craig. And then the Scottish summer weather has been disappointment. But for Rangers, no injury worries after the game the other night. And what a result that was for them. And a massive weekend for your old club for Rangers playing against Motherwell, where they'd be expected to win. But sure, Kettlewell will have his own thoughts on it. And for Rangers, Janice Hadji, probably on his way soon. And also, we know that Todd Cantwell looks as though he's going to Turkey. Not yet confirmed. I see, my offskate looks as though he's going to Gerona. So for him, can third in La Liga. Yeah, they've won a wonderful season. They had, I think, the part of the man's sitting group, Paul. So a wonderful season in La Liga and my offskate, it's setting a lot of interest. And again, he's, I think, put him in that Matarilla category. It's inevitable that he's going to go. It's just a case of wearing it. And I think Abadino get, you know, they've got some 4 million pounds from, which is a fantastic business for them. Sure is. He was mentioned for Rangers, maybe even for Celtic. But it looks as though he's off to La Liga. What a place to play. Yeah, Nyan. He's not going to be too disappointed with that move. But my offskate, he was a very good player. Very good player. You know, he had different ranges of finishing. Good left peg, good in the air. So if that comes off, be a great move. And Champions League football. Yeah, with Gerona. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, yeah. What's your who, you know, as a player? Fantastic. It was not to like exactly. Rangers have got a new player in, of course, just what 10 days ago, Robin Propper from 20, who could be playing Rangers if Rangers, as we know, can beat Kiev on Tuesday night at Hamden. I know that Salzburg are what two won ahead, but they are going to 20 to play them next week. Well, Robin Propper could come up against his old teammates. What kind of player is he? Yeah, I'm a build-up player, so I like to build up with the team. So I have a quite good pass on left or right. Yeah, and I work hard for the team. I try to do everything to help my teammates. So I think that's it. He was asked, are you ready to start? Yes, I did all my work at Stenten in preparing the season. In a few weeks, I think five or six weeks with some friendly matches. So I think I'm ready and I can play. Marty? Yeah, I think you see Robin Propper make his debut tomorrow against Balawell and what he said is he's too football. So, you know, if John Suttles, you're a natural right-sided player or you want to play Balagan, you know, it sounds like Propper. It's going to be one of the set of halves. He can play left or right. It depends who is alongside them, but you know, ranges of money. He's 30, 31 years old. He's got good experience. And yeah, good talker. Sounds up for the challenge. And I'd expect him to play tomorrow and to beat the heart of defense on Tuesday night against William Koeff. Yeah, Greg? Yeah, again, he's a player that obviously, you know, Clement Torres, there was a clause in it that nobody really knew. And so they've got what they believe to be a top player for all those still decent money, but not a huge sum. That has great experience. And I think that that's really important in terms of the backline four ranges is I still feel that they shift too many goals and that, you know, set plays and corner kicks and, you know, the basics. I think that they certainly still need to improve upon that. So, hopefully, Propper is someone that can come in and really marshal that back four to make him a well-drilled unit pool. I think it's important because if you get that right, you've got a strong goalkeeper behind you, then you can start to build. Are you thinking about your team for Rangers for tomorrow in the next few minutes? And Mark, that's a sub-editor's great thing for him, isn't it? The name Propper. You can imagine that, because I see today they'll get Bojan off-skate for my off-skate, because in that newspaper world, it's still obviously for the clickbait and all the rest of you. You look for a headline, don't you? Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, there'll be a few good ones to come out of that, I'm sure. For sure. Greg, any surprises for you, for the Rangers team, for tomorrow for the game with Motherwell, so Jack Butler and obviously, I'm just kind of throwing it at you now. Yeah, nothing. You still have to have, you'll have to. Propper should come in. You almost midfield three. And is that just resting? Balagan is going to be that type of player that comes in when needed because of his age, because he has great experience. He's not going to let you down, but he's not going to play every single game pool. You've got midfield three, what? You've got deer one day, you've got... Corner Baron? Corner Baron, and you will have maybe... Tom Lawrence? Yes. Three up top. Obviously, you've got Decis through the middle. I don't think Scott Wright will start. Ken Churney start this match, or I know Phil Collins says he may not be ready, but I'd still like to see his play start and go and put a game to bed and then bring him off after 45 minutes. So I'll go with Churney and I will go with the other one. I will go with... Bhababababak Cortez. It's Cortez. No, he's been up the injury. So, he just picked up the last... Yeah, he's had the last game. Yeah, maybe Jeffty. Maybe Jeffty. Okay. Can play that further forward position because he wasn't happy with Wright. No. Jeffty come on, he seemed to be happy physically. He could be enough. We'll go with that. I'll listen to Mark on that one. Yeah, Mark, that'd be... Would you disagree with that? Yeah, I don't think they're saying it. Yeah, just for me you've been interested to see who's a central defensive partnership. But at the moment I would say Sutter and Proper and Ballagan Zayd as a good backup. Interesting to see what happens with Ben Davis. I ain't gonna give another one. It could be offloaded before then. The window is one of hefty ways. If you're only on King, kickin' about. So yeah, I would expect Ben Davis to be before the window closes. I find a word from Proper. About his move to Rangers, how did that come around? Yeah, but I'm really glad that I'm here. It's a big club. I know that you speak a lot about Rangers and what the history is about and what they do already. So, I'm really glad that I'm Rangers now. I try to do my career step by step and I think I find now the right option to go abroad. And I was feeling confident that it's going to happen. I had a few times earlier in my career that there was a possibility to go abroad. But that wasn't the club for me. And now, yeah, Rangers came. So it was a no-brainer for me. Rangers up against. Motherwall and Motherwall. We do really like to take something from Rangers at Hamden should be a good game tomorrow. We've also got Ross County, Dundee United, and Dundee against Hartz. That's the 530. And then on Sunday, Hibbs again, Celtic, Aberdeen, again, St. Mern and Kelly, again, St. Johnson. And the Celtic game is on Skye. Good to see Darryl's back. I see on a Premier Sports podcast. So that's good news. Darryl Curry, not an old young colleague of ours. That's great. He's been out for some time. It's brilliant. He's making a partial comeback. Let's hope for more. As he said himself, in his social media today, Paul's just slow steps, baby steps, but steps in the right direction. Remember Darryl's a young man coming into the radio. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, he was there. And then I worked with him at BT Sport. He's a fantastic presenter. He really is. He's so on it. He's preparation, seconding on. These guys can't get away with not prepping properly. So he's a really nice guy, a really good company. So that's really when you told me that news today, Paul was really chuffed for him and I hope it's the start of his proper recovery. Absolutely. He's another real gem that I found some years ago, along with my team there at that point. I mean, he's a special talent. He's absolutely brilliant. So Darryl, we're all rooting for you. It's great to see you back on that podcast at Premier Sports, because he is improving to be one of the best in the business. So you're on the way back. Let's look then at Sunday's match of the day. So we looked at Rangers there, Rangers fans. What you think and you agree with Craig and Mark's team? What about Celtic? Up against Hebs, here's Brendan Rogers. Of course, I'm delighted for David. He's got the opportunity. So we sat when you see, like, it's a Nick move on, but David is a young manager about 36 years of age. And that doesn't seem that long ago. I was 35 myself starting. So it's gone so fast. But I'm excited for him. He's at a club that knows really, really well. He's a three caretaker. Stents there, I believe. So he's feeling now is the right time to step forward. He's a club legend, led the club to one of the greatest days in history, and now making a step in to becoming a manager. And I'm sure he'd be really excited about that and really excited about his first game, being at home as the manager. So the first off of us, we always prepared for a special game, being the next one. So we had a really, really good performance. This game is also a special game for us as well. And that's what we've prepared for all week. Mark, what are you thinking ahead of that game? Yeah, I mean, I agree with Brendan Rogers, no, David Gray. It's a chance for him to bounce back at home after a really disappointing result in performance. I think he said it's unacceptable. It won't be tolerated. But we've been hearing that about him for probably three or four years now. He's probably just not really found a proper rhythm. I think behind the scenes as all sorts, it's been going for a while that's never really helped him. And I think if Malcolm Mackay in terms of the football department and David Gray and the football staffs, they can just pull out to go on with their jobs without interference, without negativity coming in. Then let them crack on because certainly David Gray is an unproven manager with Malcolm Mackay. He's a brewing operator. He knows a game. I think it's a good choice with director of football. Brendan knows Malkie very well, too, had him at Watford as a player and helped him his coaching career. But Celtic were terrific last Sunday afternoon. They were absolutely terrific. It won't be commander. The blue commander away could have scored many more goals. Some wonderful football. Kyogo really looked the part. Casper's Michael and goals, the solid as you like, Catler Vickers, back in the start and line up. So a lot to be positive about for Celtic. And they will go there feeling very, very confident. But that said, Easter Road, live in the telly. The couple of scary ones there last season. Paul, one of the pivotal moments in Celtic, one in the title was the injury-time penalty that Celtic got Easter Road through a bad decision that Adamida stuck away under pressure. So it will not be easy for Celtic. No game is easy, particularly away from home. But I think it'll be an absolute cracker to watch on Sunday afternoon. Same starting at 11 as came out against Comar. I would imagine so not unless Matt Riley's away or Matt Riley's involved in talks. That could be one. But no, apart from that, yeah, I don't see any reason for Brendan Rodgers to change. For Hibbs, it's a horrible start in terms of the away defeat. Defensively, we're really, really poor. My bad mistakes. An interim manager and club legend, I believe, in David Gray, he needs to put a good performance because it can still turn very, very quickly in Celtic and in a great form. So Hibbs need to be defensively a lot better than what they were in the first game. Well, they've backed him this week because, as we know, they spent £600,000 getting the under-21 Scotland striker from Fulham, so that's good news. Kiran Bowie is in there. And then we know Kukarevich is in Nicki Caden during your highlight. We talked about last week as well. So they're backing him at the moment. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, they've got to bring, you know, they had a number of lone players last season, Paul, so they lost a few of the Mianna Kukare then, beside these brother Chris, they are twins. I played with a dad, Steve, Albin Rovers, and used to work with a mum at the Sunday. They grew up great, yeah. So, yeah, like the caden. Boy, so yeah, good luck to him. He's a good type. You know, a good type, you know, really good pros. We're talking about boys that give everything, you know, wanting to learn, and they've put a lot in the game. And, you know, they'll find that a tough one for them in Sunday afternoon. Well, Paula Bernardo was speaking yesterday about being at Celtic full time. The fact that he left clothes and storage over the summer, hoping that he would come back here, or I guess, you know, if he was going somewhere else, he'd move from here. But he's loving it here. He wanted to come back and he said he's ready to win his starting spot in the 11th. Yeah, I need to work for that. It's better that way because I feel a lot motivated to be on the pitch that way, to win my space, to win my place. So, yeah, I think it's good for me. Was it an easier decision to come back here with us? I always thought about coming back to Celtic, so I think it was easy for me, because I loved all the season last year. And the club, the club treat me really well, so it's a pleasure for me to be back. A bit more about coming back. Yeah, I'm delighted to be here again. We had a fantastic season last year, and it's so nice to be back on this club. I want to be champions again. Hopefully, we have three titles to win in domestically. So, yeah, I look forward to that, and to have a good season in Europe, too. I want this season a little bit better for me than the last year. Last year was really good, too, but I need to improve. And I know that will be a better season for me, too. Kean's on asking, "Mark, what do you think of Pillow Bernardo? How good will he be this season? It's a four, five-year deal, isn't it? Yeah, five. Yeah, I mean, he's one of the project signings of last season in terms of it was a loan deal, which has been made payment. Celtic had got over the fee credit to them for that. Maybe a couple of weeks longer than what they wanted, but that said, they've saved themselves a couple of million quid. So, that's good business to get him in the door for three and a half to four million pounds. I think that's really good business. Like we said, if you compare the Pillow Bernardo to the guy that arrived last summer, to the Pillow Bernardo now that Brendan Rogers has got back in, it'll be night and day, you know, big improvement in the player and more improvement to come. It'll be settled as a surroundings, no language barriers, he's scored a goal, a belt against Rangers, so you know he can handle that big game when it comes around, but he'll just have to fight to become a starter. And the team, you know, McGregor and Hitati are nailed on to start. O'Reilly, we think it's going to leave. So, there's a place to play up there for someone, and that's up to Bernardo to go and stake his claim to make that his place. He has to go and grab that, absolutely. You know, Matt O'Reilly with thinking is definitely going to happen, but strange things happen in football, but he just needs to prepare himself and train and work as best as he can to make sure that then, when that opportunity comes, the big clubs, you've got to take that jersey, you've got to take it, and you've got to make sure then you defend it, you know, you don't want to make sure, you don't want to be given it away. You want to be playing in front of the 60,000 and enjoying yourself, and even with his interview there saying that last season was good, but I need to do better, I need to do more. So, he's heads in the right space. And his head was in the right space after the Cup final, where he played such a role in the goal towards, well, right at the end. Yeah, for sure, it was a really special moment. We won the Cup last the week before we won the championship, so yeah, it was a great memory and was my first two titles in my career, so yeah. And of course, as we know, he's the Portugal Under-21 captain, which is amazing given, you know, the talent there is over there in Portugal, and his final thought was about Champions League football. Champions League is Champions League. It's the best competitions of every competition, so I started two last year, so yeah, I wanted to be a starter, so yeah. Greg, final word on Celtic, just now we'll get all your predictions soon. What about Rio Hittati? This time last year he didn't start the opening games, and then there was injury where he's and all the rest of it finished well, but it was named Man of the Match last Sunday against Kelly. Yeah, and first goal. So he's come back in good order, and again, he probably struggled a little bit, because yeah, as you say, he had the injury, but he's a very, very important player for Celtic when he's fit. He's another player that I think continues to hit the levels that he can in time. Celtic will profit from this player as well. Yeah, he's a quality player. Mark, there's no way that Hittati could go at the same time if Matt already goes. No, I think players need to accept it, and I think they do accept it. Celtic is about the quality they've got. They kind of just sell everybody, so a rally's top of the kind of pecking order and tears have been allowed to go if a number is met, and then I think this time next year I would expect Hittati, if he kicks on again, to be the next guy that will go for a big money fee, and that's just the way it's unfortunate for Brendan Rogers and for the Celtic supporters, the guy on your team, but that's just the way it works. It's a business, but yeah, Hittati this time last year, I think he had to win Brendan Rogers over for whatever reason, and he did so. He sees him as a bit stop-start because of injury, and there was no doubt that Celtic suffered when he wasn't in the team, but when he came back, his introduction back into the team, along with the contribution that James Forest made, I think the key to Celtic won in the title in the cut last season. Someone on the way out is Boston Lawl, one of the younger players. It looks as though he's on his way to Stoke City, there's a medical this afternoon this evening, £2 million signing down to Stoke City for him. It's not a bad move though, isn't it? It's a good money pull for the Central Offender, a young Central Offender, yeah, it's a great money. Yeah, it's a great money for you as well, thanks, yeah, that you can't complain either. But I think for a boy it's had a handful of first-team games, that's really, really good money. But then another part of you think, of Stoke, I want to pay that for him, a championship team. I have Celtic, no, keep them, I don't know if anyone's OK now, but that's it, really good money for a cricket. And maybe a sign there's more coming in, and others on the go. Ben Doak, is he coming back, maybe on loan on the Schlotz, and the other thing that don't might have to go out to get more experience? We mentioned the first bit, Bobby Clark. What's the Ben Doak? Listen, if Celtic could get Ben Doak, Paul, I think that's a terrific sign, we're talking about you know, adding quality, more quality in the wide areas, and Ben Doak, for me, takes that box, I've watched my few times for Liverpool, been fortunate enough to be down there to see him play live. And as I know, Jackie McNaman is, he's agent, so there's a relationship there, should there be something. But again, maybe we'll be talking about when Bobby Clark is in the programme, and the Schlotz, maybe just you know, weighing up all his options, assessing his squad, and it could be that on the Schlotz, get one or two guys he'd like to bring in, if he gets them in, that would then mean that Ben Doak would be allowed to go on loan, if not, then he keeps Ben Doak, but there's no doubt that Ben Doak is a talent, and if Celtic could get him, he's a kind of guy, he gets up off your seat, Paul, you know, he dribbles, he takes what he's on, and old-fashioned, weighing out really exciting, sporting decay, those least about him, Kenny loves him, he works in playing in there, he undone 19's Champions League teams, yeah, yeah, yeah, ripping it up at that level for Liverpool as well, and he's played in the first team, you know, good clock, really light to move on, lucky to end your last season, otherwise he would have been in the Schlotz and squad at the Euro, so yeah, he's getting plenty to offer, a Celtic could get that one done, have a feeling it wouldn't happen Paul, but a Celtic could get that one done, that would be terrific. And a good age, you know, 18, I mean, played for something at 16, like your mile, yeah, it's incredible, it really is incredible, and by the way, one thing you did, he's pace, he's rapid, he's absolutely rapid, I remember watching at the 19's Champions League match in Queens Park, they played Liverpool against Rangers, I think it was 400, I mean a 4-3 game or something like that, and he was unbelievable, he really was but pace, direct, scores goals, and it already dipped his toes in the first team before he left Celtic, so would be a great option, whether or not you say it kicks through. After the break, we do want to hear about what happened in Madrid, and also, here's a question, is it the time now when you look at Spain and what they did, look at your mile, went back to school then, after it, he was days into being 17, why don't we let the hand break off, and if they're good enough, throw them in at the deep end, what do you think, oh 808, 17, 17, 700? This is the Go Radio Football Show, listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go! Great job Craig and we're here with McQueen, here with me Paul Coney, and look into the weekend, we'll get your predictions very shortly, Craig, you were in Madrid during the week, and it was agents from all over Europe, all over the world who came along, what was it? You know what it was about, there were a few agencies, Paul, but it was mainly, it was sport directors, it was head of recruitments, it was CEOs, 200+ clubs, it was fantastic in Madrid, it was absolutely ill scorch over there. But for me by the way, 38, 39 degrees, I'll bet you were back, and come across some really great people that we already know, and met a lot of other people, Valencia sporting directors, actually a player that I signed that Brisbane Raw, what's his name? His nickname was Corona, fantastic player, Meg Wil. Sporty sporting director of Valencia, bumped in a Jack Ross, who's now at Newcastle. He seems to be enjoying himself there with Peter Amidge, who's done a '23s coach, ex-teammate of mine, Carlton Cole, who's working at West Ham, so... But Calvin, I don't know where he started. So I tell you what, Paul, it was brilliant, and again, I'm sure from that particular event, there'll be plenty of signings that have happened by a lot of clubs sitting down with clubs. Decision-makers, Paul, basically... Good, it was really good. It was a really good one, brilliant. Because other industries do it, and it's good to know that football is doing that. That's the way you do it? Isn't it? Yeah, absolutely. Sure. Yep, good chance to end what... Any players you've got just know that you can mention that are on the move or whatever? Not so much here, to me. I've actually got younger players, one who was at Rangers, one who was at Celtic, who I'm trying to move these boys and hopefully get them transitioned into men's football and kickstart their career pool. We've got to play a potentially, we've got to look at trying to find a loan agreement for a player in Guangju, in Korea. It's just not getting the gain time, but it's a good player. It's a really good player, so again, every player, you've got a different challenge. Some are playing and they're happy and it's just making sure you've got the right support around about them. Others that are maybe not playing and you kind of go, "Okay, well, this might be the time when we need to step in and find a solution for everybody else." So the player continues to develop because we all want to see the players reach their maximum because for the club pool, it's value. It helps the price go up on the player. Want a happy player, but it's the network and the support that you have on ground, because I've got players that are all over the world and there's only one of me, so it's important to have that strong network mark where you trust people that are on ground in different countries. I've been lucky enough to do that because of the network that I've kind of formed over the last 20, 30 years. Jack Ross, you mentioned him there. It was in the Nigma, wasn't it? He has so much talent and then it went wrong. You know, the late everyone Gordon said, "I made a mistake on that one." It went too early. It went too early. It was a shame, isn't it? A week before the cut fails, I'm terrible. That was the start. It was shocking. It didn't happen from the DA to cut the heavy defeats. And yet, Marcus, you know, sorry to start the season. Remember, they did brilliantly at the beginning. Remember, the first round in Europe were like, "Wow." But then it just went wrong for a player. Will he come back into club management or is he doing 2L as the... What was he... I think it's more overseeing the academy side of things as well, but I think when you get people that they love to be on the grass and they love to coach day to day and all that sort of stuff, then again, you can never say never. The first time I met Jack Ross, actually, he was at Sunderland. And I'll tell you what, he was hugely impressive for me. He was a great communicator. He always wanted to look to do his best for what was happening up here in Scotland. So if you come down and he was fantastic, but what he will do in the future, who knows? And look how close he was. Play-offs, wasn't it? Right at the end. It just didn't work for him, then he was gone. Andy Walker's doing the game. I'm just looking at Skye there. That's a deep deal, of course. It's pressing north end against Sheffield United. Of course, he's all clubs, Sheffield United. Exactly. Yeah, he's a blade. I've noticed, Mark, that they're really promoting it on Skye, you know, with the EFL. They're all these games. They've really been at all the different grounds, putting resources into it as well. I hope in Scotland, we'd love to see, you know, a real push, get money behind it, because it plays such a big part in good television, build up good interviews with people so that more people go to the games. Yeah, I think even you've seen a few Scottish connections, Paul, and the build up to the big kick-off tonight, stroke tomorrow. For example, Greg Dorkerta, captain of Chaunton, vegan three-four good years at a whole terrific young player at Hamilton. He's moved to the end. He's unfortunate that he wasn't caught on the 21s, but still get plenty to offer. So, isn't he's better? He wasn't caught. He's a bit of tart and flowing through a lot of the clubs here, which is nice to see. I heard him on with that other great Scott Jim White yesterday morning. I heard a bit of it. Yeah, so it's great to see Scott's doing well down there. How the Scott's going to do tonight? Greg, well, we kick off in the championship here tonight, here against Adrian at Somerset Park. So, Luis McCabe, two young managers, and obviously Scott Brown. What do you reckon on this one? Yeah, no. I mean, Adrian got off to a good start, didn't they? Yeah, actually, Adrian also. Yeah, it's both one last weekend. So, yeah, no, there should be a good match, because both managers, both clubs are looking to play football in the right manner. So, it should be a cracker, I think, here will be too strong tonight, though. I'm going to go for it in here. You're going for the honest men? Yeah, a game. I think we're cutting game at Somerset. If I was going along to watch it, both are good, you know, Adrian went off a race-rovers, of course, Dean Murray's job and he united the way you ham up Nachis. Yeah, I'll go for two, one, two, he united. What about the game? Hamden, Queen's Park, against Livia. They've brought it forward, so with Rangers playing there tomorrow. What do you reckon, Mark? Well, obviously, I think, are the favourites, Paul, to go up there from the championship back in there. Again, day one, last week of home, went over, done family, and Queen's Park lost it at Fall Cup this time last week. I'm going for a Desmond in that game, Paul, two, two, two. I can see a draw. I'm going to stick with a draw. Also, Livingston, are they favourites to go straight back up to bounce back? Yeah, but it's tight, so tight. When you look down, you look at the 10 teams, you could make a case for just about any one of them. Yeah, no, you're right. It's a really interesting competition. A lot of teams, you're right. That will be there there abouts come down to the season. Greg, there's a better draw. You've gone for a draw as well. Done family against Fall Cup, it's a bit of a local derby. I mean, it could be 70,000. You've got to skim that. Yeah, it's not going off. Yeah, yeah. And the billions, of course, so are the invincibles up against them. Fermin, and you mentioned bad result for them last week. What do you think tomorrow? Yeah, I'm going to go for one-one. One-one? Well, Greg, and then he's on the fence. No, no, I'll be tight. Well, not on the fence. That's what he believes. I'm going to stick with Fall Cup. Yeah, I'm going to stick with Fall Cup. I think that they've gone on this long run, and they got off to a really good start with the league, that I'm going to stick with them. I was kidding, I do really enjoy working with you. I said it, I stayed like this. Exactly. I don't like you, I say it. He's coming twice now. James, five-year contract, surely, with a new station for him. Morten against Hamilton, so that's a good one. It's hard one to read, isn't it? Yeah, and Morten got a good point there for how last week Hamilton lost. I'm going to go for Morten to win. Dougie Emney's team to win, true now. True now. What do you think, Greg? Morten victory there. I think Dougie will have his team well prepped their physical outfit as well. I think at home, that'll be too strong. And Craig, is the reason you were an absolutely brilliant player. Growing captain at Rangers as well. 53 caps for Australia or more. They're abouts. Is this why you wouldn't be a manager? Because Ian Murray gets one game in the league, loses it by a goal to Airtree, and he's out of a job. It's a tough business, isn't it? It really is mad. He's done a wonderful job. But sometimes we don't know, maybe behind the scenes and all that pre-season didn't go great. So then you have to start the season well, but it's a brutal business. Yeah, it is brutal. And unfortunately, that'll be the first of a number. Who's next? What do you think though? So he's all team race Rovers calling Cameron's and charges, and there's two of them up against the Jags. The Jags. I like the Jags as well. But Ray Throvers bounce. A bounce should lose your manager. And they somehow find a way to win. And then people go, "Yeah, we've definitely got to have that manager." And then it changes again. Ray Throvers to bounce, how win? Mark, what do you reckon? I'm going for the old teddy lags, I think, Patrick Thistle will get off to winning the first game of the season. So I'm going to go to one. To one. To the Millie Hall Maggies. Right, he's done for them. So let's hope for some great games over the weekend. Some of the other headlines with the top headline today was that Calmack Retires, Calm McGregor retires from international football, 63 caps, three goals. It's Steven Naysmith and his coaching staff have penned new contracts at hearts until 2026. Quite significant. And Mark, he deserves it. I mean, there were just doubts about him at the time of the year. Paul, I think this time last year, the European results, it was almost felt like he was kind of hanging on game again. Steven Naysmith, but he's turned it round. He's coaching staff and came back avoiding God and Forest in your contracts, Paul Gallagher, the goalkeeper, keeping coach. So yeah, I mean, you look at hearts last weekend, Paul. I know we'll talk to you on them later, but certainly the evidence of that 90 minutes. Anybody going to time castle world going to have to play really, really well to come away with some for sure. And they've got a they've got a deeper squad now as well. You know, that's a great thing. You see, look at the start of the season, Mark, and you know, it's good to see new faces. But they look as if they've got that depth as well. And the challenge for Naysy is going to be the expectation about how you how you go on improve on, you know, what what you've done last season. Because they are the third best team in the country, are they? Absolutely. I mean, no, do you charge the moment by a distance, Paul? Yeah, yeah. Everyone's saying, Albert, Dini, whatever, but a lot to be done there. And if my offskis is offskis, he'll be tough to replace. Yeah. And he'll be losing those goals. What would be the heart strike back? He would look good, didn't he? By the way, what was it like Costa Rican? Yeah, Costa Rican. But by the way, I thought he was unbelievable. Ah, what's that? By the way, aggressive, fast, long throw in. Yeah, long throw in. He had that in straight away, and he got stuck in as well. So the heart supporters, I'm sure, will be right behind him. But what a great impression he made. I like that pull. That's a way football should be played. Did you have a lock top off camera on him? Did you see nobody else? You seem to know a little bit of him there, but no, he was really, really good, Mark. I know you did that. Great find. Great find. Have a sport at him. I really could know what he's, you can tell he's got a personality. And it's great to see that as well. He'll be a terrific player for that. I also thought, too, again, you're talking about managing your decisions, getting your decisions right. Going for Zander Klatt, it's two top saves. So it was a big decision for Stephen A. Swithney Staff. Zander Klatt, actually Gordon. They've gone with Zander Klatt. And it paid off and started. Right decision for you. Okay. No, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Great going. It's an amazing piece. 41. Zander Klatt. Yeah. Like also an international keeper. Maybe not quite as good as Greg Gordon has been. I mean, no, I think Greg Gordon in his frame was exceptional. Absolutely exceptional for a decade. But now, I think it's a change in the guard. And Zander Klatt, he's talking about good sign as well. One of three from St. Johnston. Good bit of business. Isn't a good business. And of course, Greg Gordon, what a career in the combines. Three times player of the year. Is that right? Yeah, because I was your guest at it. No, but it's amazing. And he was the most expensive goalkeeper. And a million pounds at the time. At the time. Wasn't it? Roy King was his manager. Yeah. Yeah. He was top top. But you're right, Zander Klatt coming in. And making saves. Big saves. I think it was one Baron, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. It was a great strike. One high up just below the cross bar as well. Two top saves. Craig, well, he's on just saying Jack Butler's everything okay. Craig, he's a big Rangers fan. He wants to know that he's going nowhere. He'll be here. Can't he end up? Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I don't see Jack Butler moving. For sure. And Connor Baron, he wants to know what you think of it. I mean, people thought he might be French player, but he's right in and doesn't look at a place. No, he doesn't. He doesn't. And he's certainly not going to let the Rangers' supporters down Paul because he gives it absolutely everything. I don't think he will start every single match. But at the moment, due to the squad and the manager trying to put that squad together, he's experiencing a lot of game time and he's done very, very well. Connor Baron. Mark? Yeah, I liked him. Paul thought he was good with Aberdeen. I thought he made a really good impression on me last Saturday afternoon. Can he take the ball, the way he just moved to a three yards here and there, just to create an angle to get at them and to get it going to turn, they try and drive. So yeah, I think Connor Baron, I think he's going to be a mainstay in the heart of that range as much. I feel like he'll have these ups and downs. He has only 21. But to get him for nothing, Paul, again, he takes that Scottish box on European football. A really good piece of business. O8, O8, 17, 17, 700. We're into the final section next. What's the verdicts for tomorrow? That's coming after this. This is the good radio football show. Listen live weeknights from five on go. Let's go! Into the weekend. Just before we do, Craig, what about that game last weekend? Dundee United against Dundee. Dundee United just back up. See the number of people who have said here's David, for example, saying, "I didn't realize it was such a great game. The rivalry." Yeah, it really was a fantastic match. I mean, obviously, both sets of fans go home happy in terms of the draw. Well, of course they want to win, but some really good goals scored in the match. I think Dundee and I did the well crafted. The two goals were excellent goals. Obviously Simon Murray was a continual handful, I think throughout the match as well. Late drama with the penalty. I think it was a penalty. But town of dice went its full as well. It's a good atmosphere, and it's great to start off with a derby, and it certainly didn't let us down. It's a proper stadium, isn't it? Well, we'd so many great games up there over the years. Yeah, brilliant Dundee United, Dundee great for the Scottish football. We have to say the television picks last weekend, what we got, 10 castle. Even though it was no-no, it was a brilliant game. It was really entertaining, you think, Dundee Derby, Sunday lunchtime that didn't let us down at all. Celtic Commandant, Sizzling Performance from Celtic, and then St John Stavardina, the drama, Phil House at McDermott, and the Monday night to say farewell to Geoff Brown. And it was lovely, albeit, I wanted St John's to get a win, but what a great turn out for Geoff Brown. I'd be a proper football man. I just loved his club and gave St John St his all. And Skye did him proud. I thought they did him really well. Yeah, really, really much. Good man, he's son Steve as well. A lot of times the Brown family, nice people. Yep, and he had these kill to him with the family tartan, the gritty tartan. I know, sorry, it was the Brown tartan there. So, yeah, well done to him. Right, what about this weekend then? Looking forward to where we're going to kick off Rangers against Motherwell. Tomorrow, 3 o'clock. Looking forward to you first of all then. So, Hampton Parks, Strange Paul, seen Rangers there, but you know, it's important for two reasons. Get a good result, because Tuesday's so important as well. Get them in the Champions League. Rangers to win 2-0. All right, okay, I was going to give you a moment because I was going to hear from Philippe Comeong speaking about going to Hampton. Yeah, we're looking forward to it because you need to adapt. We know one thing we will have, again, 50,000 fans behind the team. So, that's a really important thing, that you have that amount of people. It could have been a stadium, for example, for 20,000 people. So, that's different. So, we have the same amount that you have in Ibrox, and I know the fans will be behind the team to push them. It's a little bit out of scenery, but in that way, I have experienced a few times already with half our fans at Hampton, who made a very good atmosphere. So, they will be double now. So, I expect more than double the atmosphere for before then. Yeah, great. He's obviously referring to the, what, 20,000 Rangers fans at the Cup final, given that the fat cats get a fair number as well. So, yeah, what are you thinking tomorrow? Yeah, look, well, I think Rangers will come out, and win this match, but Mother will obviously start it off well enough, picking up a drawer at home. But, look, Rangers need to go and get a win. Hellmark. I mean, you draw away from home, don't get me wrong, hearts are very good. It's not the end of the world, but you can't afford to drop any more points if you want to be trying to win a title this year. So, Rangers have to win, and I think they will against Mother will. You reckon score line, what do you think? One nil, one nil, two, one. I think it'll be tight. Yeah, it's more getting the result, isn't it? Yeah, absolutely. And Mark, you were saying, just before you reckon a two, one? Two nil, I know. I just think Mother will go any struggles for golders, gold this season, Paul, they'll do it. Yeah, so they've lost a cutler, they've lost player's battle as well. I know they've brought in a cutler boy, so hopefully they'll do well with him. But, yeah, I can see Rangers having a fairly comfortable afternoon tomorrow. And Paul McGinn, the captain, that's a lot of good articles, you know, with these two brothers knowing, John, just until weeks ago, captain of Falkirk, and of course, John, the captain, or, well, there's a remarkable story, isn't it? Paul's a bit of an unsung hero, isn't it? Because hebs, I think, missed him big time when they let him go a couple of years ago. That's a big mistake. Yeah, and then I remember him at Dundee, he really solid as a right back, we got him down, wingers very rarely get the better over me. He'd really good recovery just to get back and block, you know, crosses. And he'll thrive in the captain, see? Paul, he's a terrific professional. He's had to walk hard to get in the full-time football as well. And when he got that chance, he grasped it because he wanted to what? He wanted to listen, they wanted to learn from all these coaches, and he's got the respect to that mother will decision him. So a good appointment by short-care to be able to give Paul the hand band after William Kelly's departure. And the Rangers fans, you know, there's been so much chat over the summer about the ground, but I'm sure they will forget that tomorrow. Listen, they're going to see Rangers, they haven't seen their team while playing proper competitions since me. Yeah, and look, they have to. I mean, the players I'm talking about, you know, those concerns and all that, they need to just go out and win games of football by winning games of football gives you confidence in my momentum. And I can't stress the importance of the first three, four weeks of the season. It's massive because you could be chasing big time after four weeks, or you put yourself in a position where, you know, the team starts to bed down and can get stronger. But you have to go and win the game against mother will. It is a different surrounding for this particular match, but that's what they're going to have to deal with. Dundee, I'll be there tomorrow for the kill walk on Sunday. So if I cannot pop into Dundee against hearts, that's a good game. Mark, isn't it? In fact, it's on the telly, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's one I think premier sports. Yeah, I have past five. That'll be a cracking game. Dundee hearts really good, really open, entertaining. We look at the way hearts played, look at the way Dundee played last weekend, the crowd and the TV, the armchair fans, I think I'll be in for a treat for that one, Paul. Yeah. Look, it's good that he's staying, isn't it? Yeah, because they don't want to sell them. He's the captain and he just stepped up cool and took that penalty last weekend. What do you reckon tomorrow, Craig, on that one? Dundee against hearts? You know, I just think Dundee off a huge value. I really, I think they're an exciting team. I think they punch above their weight, but not by hanging on in games. I think that they definitely have a go on at home. It gives them a great opportunity. I can see this being a score draw, Paul. And what about Dundee and ate it? Who are going to Dingwell then, Craig, Ross County, Dundee and ate it three o'clock. I'm going to go Dundee and I did when here, I think Ross County are going to be a team that are going to battle this season. Tough one for the stag, he's this season. What do you reckon, Mark? I'm going to go for one, one, Ross County, one, Dundee and ate it, one, and I'm going to go with days when it ends. You're going for the two. The two two there as well. So Sunday then, Kelly against St. Johnson, what do you think, Kelly? Obviously, a huge game last night that given everything got that late equalizer 2-2. Yeah, come on, look. They started the game well, finished the game well, one or two bits in between probably not great, but they've kept themselves in the tie, which is really good. I think they'll beat St. John's then final off. Look at all the predictions last week, Ken, Paul from all the music people, colleagues and all the media guy. I'd say probably 80% tips at John's to go straight down. They're finishing 12th place. They lost in Monday night with spoke about home Aberdeen. I think Commandock will win 2-1 on Sunday. Craig, I think Commandock, the consistency of the levels, the performances that they're being able to get from them is going to be too good on the day. I think it will be close. I think St. John's will make it hard enough. 1-0, Commandock. Right. So, and St. Johnson had it really tough, the home record in the league is tough. He's got enough goals, Paul. Yeah, I know. I think from last year, I don't know if they'll win there. Okay, Aberdeen against St. Moon kicking off with Hugh Craig Moore. I'm going to put on some battles there over the year. I love playing up there. I love that. Look, Aberdeen, I still haven't seen enough, obviously, one game. I don't know what sort of season I'm going to get for Aberdeen. I'll tell you what, pretty confident to know what we're going to get from St. Murem. I think that they're a good, well-organized side. I think that they can go away here. I'm going to go for a draw. So, Murem, we'll get a draw. I don't think they'll lose this much. Okay. Mark, what do you reckon? I mean, what a start for the season, but I think I know what you're thinking there. Yeah. I suspect that sometimes we see our clubs, Paul, when they're playing the Thursday night, they find it really difficult in the Sunday. And I think that's might be the case for St. Murem. This Sunday, and Aberdeen, good in McDermard and getting a win first-home game for Jimmy Taylor, in terms of competitive football. Aberdeen won St. Murem. No. It's going to be 1-0. And just some news as we come to the head-seltic game. Now, this is just speculation, but I see it on some of the sites, including the excellent record site here, is that there's an interest, surfing are interested, apparently. And they've been enquiry for the versatile Crystal Palace player. And his name, as you know, is Jeffrey Schloop. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It was Leicester until 2017, before Brendan Rogers' time. Schloop, I mean, he's paid 231 times for them, that there's been an enquiry from... You're playing the way there is, I think. Yeah, I think so, yeah. Yeah. Good, good, better. Good, better pace. Live back. Live field. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, Jeffrey Schloop, he's a proven premiership performer at that level, down south, so Celtic can pull that one off, Paul. I would applaud that move. And we did say early in the week, you wouldn't be surprised if Brendan Rogers, with the experience he's got in English football and his contacts, you wouldn't be surprised if you saw some players have still got something left in the tank, but they're not going to be 15, 20 million. But he's told a bit of experience. Yeah. You've just mentioned that he's been, you know, he's been a performer at that level for six, seven, eight years, so he ticks that box. And you know what you're going to get from a good experience player. Yeah, I think that a really good move of Celtic could pull that one off. So Craig, what do you think's going to happen on Sunday then? Is the early kickoff in 12, 13, and Sky? What are you going to see, Hib Celtic? Again, Hibs will want to perform better than what they did open a day of the season, but I just think that Celtic are going to be too strong. Paul, I'm going to go for Celtic two-nil victory over Hibs. What do you think? Yeah. Yeah, can you find enough? I'm just down there. I agree with that scrolling two-nil Celtic. You know, I think Hibs will make it tough for Celtic, but eventually Celtic's quality, the rhythm that they have and the play will be too strong for her being it. And I also think as well, all beat Casper's make-up was a really taste. I think they're going to have to do really, really well at his court against Celtic this season. I think they're going to have to really be just something special. Two-nil Celtic get each the road. And up front, Gilga was really, really good last weekend. It wasn't me. Yeah. I see just another that we heard from the long earlier, he said he was involved in the decision to move to Hamden during the period where Ibrox is being renovated and the new disability section being formed over the next couple of months. Mark, thank you so much. Thanks Paul. Enjoy that. Thank you Craig. You're in great form. Thank you. Welcome back. And we'll just get out of here. So, he's been in mid-night. We're doing a win. We'll see you next time. We'll go back. You'll be there for a long time. Thanks so much. The news is next, and then some great music with Zoe. And have a great weekend.
