Obviously, Roman Reigns returning at Smackdown. Tonight, returning at Summer Slam, but some huge developments in the bloodline story that OTC shirts selling off the shelves very, very quickly. My goodness. But Sean, let's start with that. Let's talk some Roman Reigns. Back here on Smackdown today. Huge news at Summer Slam. It did great things for our post show here at Fightful. We were closing in on 40,000 views on YouTube alone, but everybody wanted to talk about it. I assume people are gonna be in to talking about it tonight. Any additional information that you have for us there? Yeah, there's just a lot going on there. So, FightfulSelect.com. Best $5 in the business. That's who's bringing you all these scoops that I'm about to unleash on you guys. And I got a whole bunch coming over the next week. I mean, I've got so much contract news across multiple companies that I've got somebody who one talent says has been signed by AEW coming tomorrow on FightfulSelect. $5 a month, $54 a year if you prefer that. But Roman Reigns right before the show or about an hour before the show revealed that he's got full new expanded music, sort of a remix of what we heard before, heard a little bit of a taste of that prior. But obviously Roman Reigns is going to be featured more often. He's announced for next week Smackdown as well. We also have been dropping scoops in the discord. So, a lot of people thought it was a foregone conclusion that Roman Reigns would return. But we're not allowed to operate off of foregone conclusions or assumptions. So, if you were in the discord last Saturday night, you saw me as soon as I heard people were in gorilla, I'm like, this person, this person, this person. Much of that happened this evening as well. We kind of revealed he's going to go back after the tribal chief title, which we kind of knew, but the physical thing as well. But Roman Reigns, we had reported he actually wasn't in the top three in merch over the weekend. But I mean, that was for the live event, the Superstore and stuff and he's been gone a while. They didn't expect him to be. And now they definitely expect him to be. Especially as a babyface, he could end up rivaling Cody Rhodes, who has been blowing away merch numbers for a long time. But those custom title belts of Roman Reigns sold out and made them a ton of money, just a ton of money. But a lot of other news, Bobby Lashley's deal is up this week with the WWE. That's not it. We're going to have more details on this on Fightful Select tomorrow, but Lashley will be near the site of collision tomorrow, but I don't know if it's to be at collision. He just happens to have like a late birthday party nearby, of which I know that a lot of wrestlers are like, hey, let me see if I can get booked on collision and get that travel. So Bobby Lashley's deal is up this week. People that I talked too close to him think that he will be headed to AEW. Lots of contract news, but we had Kevin Owens as well with the title shot. We had revealed that. I think a boo actually may have tweeted about that today as well. And I want to shout out a boo of Russell Puris, friend of Fightful. But this is opinion based. I love and I got messages from people in WWE. He loves to close those logic gaps. Like, if something like this happens and he doesn't deserve a title shot, it's not just going to be as easy as Cody saying, well, you know what, I'll give you one. He's going to be like, well, no, I would need to be motivated to have one. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was Kevin Owens idea. I don't know that for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me whatsoever. Giovanni Vinci is back. He has not, from what I understand, he hasn't been hurt. When I talked to people backstage in WWE, they said he had just been waiting creative and there's going to be a bit of a more focus on him. He has been highly touted for his athleticism within WWE for a long time. He got compared a lot to Cesaro Claudio years ago at the PC. So I think that he's going to get a little bit of a shot here. And if it doesn't work, I could see him back in a tag team or something like that. Another element that got brought up to me was the fact that I mentioned that they were setting up a bunch of women's trios. Like, not just on SmackDown, but Raw as well between Lyra, Kate, and Katana as well, or Casey and Katana, as well as just a number of other ones. Shayna Sonja and Zoe, yeah, there's been a lot that have been around for sure. Yeah, I was told that's not an accident. I don't know what that means. I was just told it's not an accident. So, but also, we're going to have an awful lot of news. Listen, next week's going to be an interesting news week. There's going to be some news that will be very kind to Fightful. And another recent report, I'll say that much. If what I'm hearing is true, but we got some super chats, got some Humper chats. We got Bad Robot saying hello, favorite post show and the true King of the Ring, King of the Receipts, SRS. Hey! We got Pretty Deadly, Andrade, Santos and Big Ladies. How happy is Alex? This is one that intrigues me because she's like the reason I got into women's wrestling specifically. But we've kind of heard the conversation turn from, she's not going to return. She has a neck injury to, well, maybe, she'll be around as far as CM Punk interviews have gone. Any year to the ground on that, anything that you've heard about that? Well, I'll say this, Alex and I convince you to turn your gain up too high. I'm allowed to, then I shouldn't need it that high. I'm so loud. There were a couple of series of events where I thought maybe it's possible. So when CM Punk went back, there were a lot of people that thought maybe Britt Baker can promo her out of retirement or something like that. She's very clearly an incredible shape. She stays like she looks like she belongs in a ring. Then there was the wow thing and then it's like, "Well, no, she's actually being paid effectively to be a mascot for wow women of wrestling. She's not going to do any wrestling there." She did her seasons wrapped up. But then when she did heels, there was a couple of people saying, "Maybe that's more likely." Since WWE and CM Punk, I'll say this, it seems like a lot more light-hearted near CM Punk in general. I would imagine that you probably got a guy in that house saying, "This wrestling thing ain't so bad if you ever want to come back to it." But even he has said that's a decision on her. Listen, I really respect that about CM Punk is that he is not going to put unrealistic expectations on his wife or pressure her in any regard. He is going to leave that decision completely with her because they have both been in very similar positions in that regard to where sometimes you need that time apart or time away. Yeah. Well, this is hilarious because if the question was about AJ Styles, I just asked you something completely different. Oh, the question's about AJ Styles. He'll be back sooner than later. Wow. Yeah. I mean, yeah. He doesn't have to, he's not there every week. I'll just say that. He's not there every week, but yeah, they will cycle him back in pretty quickly, I would assume. He did the Japan tour, and I know he was very excited to do the Japan tour, and worked Cody and worked in Akamura, and he did the Marafuji match, but had largely been off TV since then. But yeah, he's still there. I would imagine he'll be back on TV. Probably it wouldn't surprise me if they waited until after bash the Berlin, but that's just, it's an assumption there. Guys, getting those super chats, get in those humper chats we've got Sean on for a little bit longer here. If the apology must be as loud as the disrespect, my microphone was apparently shouting. So it'll be equal for you guys. But Joe saying, well, I've been thinking as soon as Roman came back at SummerSlam, is I feel like Roman has finally been the dream babyface. A certain someone spent years trying to make us think he is well-suffering, suck-a-tash, seems like it just took him being the most dominant heel, maybe in the history of wrestling for the past three years to become that. But it was a tremendous pop. I'm so intrigued to see where this goes. Sean, do you have any thoughts about where this might go for Survivor Series? Which side the rock ends up on? Do you see Hiculeo coming into the picture? What are you thinking about as we build to Survivor Series? I do think Hiculeo will come into the picture. However, it's really difficult to determine when at this stage. I think it's pretty clear he'll be on the side of his brothers. And listen, you got a four-person team right there. You can go with Roman, Jimmy, Jay, maybe, Sammy, or Jacob. I think Jacob is the one that people are going to look at and be like, well, who side is he on? Because I all do respect to the Tongans and Solo feel like they need Jacob a little bit. You know what I mean? Jacob is so very clearly like the next up guy. For a long time, people were like, maybe it'll be solo. Everybody right now is like, it will be Jacob. Sorry, I got the hiccups. But it's clear it'll be Jacob. The disrespect to Tonga Loa. But will with a chat saying, does Roman know it's not real the way he was shooting on the fake bloodline? Also asking for an update on Delta. Well, I can tell you this about Delta. She's incredible. You guys have a lot to look forward to. But that was confirmed by fightfulselect.com reported by, I think, L.A.J. might have broken that news a little bit first. Yeah. L.A.J. broke it. Just like she probably broke her golf club at Topgolf. I wouldn't know. I didn't play against her. But Corey Brennan was able to confirm it, but definitely want to give L.A.J. her flowers there. She is relocating right now. Got it. Okay. That might have, there was a typo in that. That might have been about Dakota High. We're trying to get, she sidelined right now. I don't think it's too bad. She's still on TV. They were able to get her involved in that, that physical angle. Although I will say this, there has been a change. And it's actually something I was talking about with Brandon Thurston at the last, at the, the press conference, because it's something that he mentioned. He might, uh, yeah. Yeah, that's what we were doing. We're rubbing shoulders. But he mentioned that he was going, like possibly going to ask about it because back in the day, if somebody wasn't cleared, for in-ring action, they weren't getting touched almost at all in WWE. And now we've seen a big shift in that where Seth Rollins is able to be written off. Dakota was able to be written out of that match. CM Punk was able to do a few things before as well. So I think that's something to definitely look out for. And I will say it makes, it does make things a little bit more difficult for me, because it was pretty strict back then. Like, in fact, the way that I found out, Corey Graves was cleared was that he did that 24/7 title thing. And I go, oh my gosh, they would not have allowed him to do that if he weren't cleared. And that was a complete shot in the dark. And then somebody was like, how did you know he got cleared? Like he went through a lot to do that. But yeah, it's, it's, um, kind of, kind of wild how that's changed. And I think for the better, you trust these professionals to go out there and do something like that safely and, and make yourself a little bit more flexible by the way of storylines as well. I think it was incredible that one of their top draws, and for the most part, I think they did a pretty good job of building out CM Punk versus Drew McIntyre. I wasn't the biggest fan of the payoff, but those two guys were injured for the majority of that feud. And they still found ways to keep it on screen. I thought that was great. And this is also the benefit I think of having so many stables around. If someone is injured, they can still be a mouthpiece. They can still be kept relevant, which is something that I as a fan really like, but Apex Calibre saying solo will fail, and Rock will take over his bloodlines. I love some of the conspiracy theories we've been getting about the rock coming back in here. And also saying rock versus Roman high chief versus tribal chief. Man, I would love it if they built to rock in Roman non title at mania. I think that would be such a very, very cool thing to do because it was all a match that we wanted. It was just not a match that we wanted like this. So any thoughts about that? Are we thinking that far ahead to the next mania, Sean? I saw people saying like, Oh, well, solo versus Roman at mania. And I'm like, what if you stretch this out? Keep in mind, it's not stretching it out to the beginning of April. It's stretching it out to the end of April now. So August, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, April, like nine full months. No, that is not good in my opinion. It is either rock versus Cody or rock versus Roman, but still, you don't need to stretch this out until WrestleMania. I think rock versus Roman for what is the real title in that family? The the tribal chief moniker. I think that's important. I think so too. The head of the table. That's what we started arguing about in the first place, right? But any other any other updates? I'm very excited about this Kevin Owens program because I'm a Kevin Owens gal. You're talking about the way he justifies everything. It just like pulled at my heart strings today to hear him say he didn't deserve it. But Randy Orton going over to face Gunther. Have you heard about if they're just being kind of loose with the draft rules once again? Or if there's trades about and any news on that? I mean, sure just seems like it. I don't have anything outside of being told. Yeah, it's I mean being told effectively what you said, but I wasn't given like a real reason or anything. When I said, you know, I'd like at least some sort of additional explanation storyline reason, just make sense of it. Sort of like what we saw with with tonight and Kevin Owens. I was told that don't hold your breath. So sure, sure, that makes sense. Does the rock beat Cody and drop the title to Cina? I think it's so brave that John Cena is avoiding the indies really to not face you. I say that with with great sarcasm. I think he's trying to dodge you. He saw your work. He seen your drop toe hold and he's like, I'm gonna announce my retirement tour a year and a half. So I don't have to face Sean got weak weak toes. That's it. That's it. He doesn't want them dropped or held, but maybe listen, no, nobody has dropped nor held a toe, the likes of which I'm capable of. So certainly not and controlling the wrist. My God, but I didn't I didn't do that to Effie last time. Cause a little fun fact, I didn't realize he wanted me to whip him off the ropes and do it. Like, we were supposed to do a completely different spot where I pull him into me and then do it. And then I maintain risk control, but listen, I'm an improviser. What can I say? Go out there and make magic. What a gifted Matt technician also thrown him into a chair holding his wrist might have been really, really mean, but I guess instead of fighting Sean John Cena might instead go for breaking the record of most amount of titles held. I don't think they would mind taking that away from Rick Flair and giving that to one of the most universally beloved people ever to do it in the wrestling industry. They've been updating those record books. You're on the same page with that, Sean. I think they will. My only regret is that they didn't have him do it like 21 times that way. Wow. That way he can't claim it. Cause I mean, realistically, Rick Flair held that title like 21 times. W.D. just decided it was 16. But listen, I could go on about how I think that NWA and TNA and WCW and WWE should combine title lineages and recognize certain title reigns. But I feel like maybe new Japan should start with combining title reigns and they need to clean up a lot. You're right. Book it, Lauderdale. Okay. Everybody wants seen a SAP at GCW for blood sports, seen it getting involved with blood sport. I'm here for it. I'm here for it. Taking on my boss. So some good stuff there. Any thoughts on that, Sean? You know, I think that they're in a great situation right now where they can do rock Roman or Cody rock. But the one that they wanted to do, and they've waited to do for so long, to me, you do it just in case you don't have the opportunity to do it again in the future. You've got to do it. You don't want this to turn into a four horseman mania main event or a shield triple threat main event. One of these things that stood the opportunity of being a big thing, staying take or even like you don't want it to become that. So this book is great. I am the happiest little camper that ever was. So that is some good stuff. But before we dive in, Alex, what were your thoughts kind of overall on SmackDown today? It does seem like there's a new shot in the arm after SummerSlam, for sure. Yeah. It felt like they were trying to refresh things a little bit here and there. There was other things that just, you know, we like to question and we like to try to figure out what the hell's happening. We like to see what's going on. Yeah. And we also like to kind of figure out the landscape of things. There's a lot of wrestlers backstage at SmackDown. So I am the one who's always questioning is why aren't we seeing more of those people out on TV? Because even though we got that shot in the arm, it sort of still feels like I'm still seeing a lot of the same faces on television. You know, I understand stories and things and such, but... But like my kingdom versions cannot come more appearance, for example. Ah. I'm with you. Yeah. By the way, big shout out. Shout out to Danny Sizer on the chat coming over. But let's dive in to this episode of SmackDown. We get a Cody Road... I'm going to church. Let me get a Cody Road's for a while. Kicking us off before Alex goes to Mass. Okay. Where he doesn't get to say a whole lot before Solosokoa jumps in. It is kind of angling for a rematch. And what I love about this and what is to come is that there is justification for why people are getting title shots. That's all I ask in this world is that I want wins and losses to matter. But we start off with Cody kind of tearing into Solos a little bit again, saying he's cosplay as tribal chief. He's delusional if he thinks he has claim to this rematch. And then he starts to get get circled around like piranhas. We see the numbers game catching up to Cody a little bit here. But who comes out to help him? But Kevin Owens doesn't even up the numbers game because Randy Owens got other stuff to do. But I love what we get here. He comes in with the two steel chairs. That's enough to kind of fight them off a little bit. And right away Cody Road says you've been in my corner this entire time. You are the prize fighter and he offers him a title shot at Bastion Berlin to which Kevin Owens says, no, I haven't earned it. And I love him so much for this. Because he says, look at my win lost record. I haven't won. I haven't earned a title shot. But Cody says, I think you deserve it. He says, the crowd is chanting, you deserve it. But I think they were shitty. You still got it. But far be it from me to argue with that. And later, we see a nice backstage segment with Nick Aldous, who is a very good general manager man. Right. I love him. He's so good. He's so good. Everything he does makes sense. It's all I've ever wanted from authority figures. And he has so much presence. We talk about it week over week. Like what an addition he's been as an authority figure on SmackDown. But they're having this discussion about it. And Nick Aldous comes up after Cody had said in the ring, I'm gonna talk to Nick Aldous about it right now. He goes and does. And he says, I'm actually lining up a title shot for Roman raids to which Kevin Owens says, well, why the heck does he get a title shots? What, the rematch clause that has been instituted around here in literally years, go into the locker room and find anybody else. And they deserve a title shot more. I loved that from Kevin Owens. I love Kevin Owens so much with all my heart. And because of that passionate and inspired kind of monologue that we get there from Kevin Owens, Dick Aldous says, I don't need to get Roman and I don't need to get anybody in the locker room because that's why you deserve it. There was a moment when Cody's in the ring and with KO and they're both holding chairs and I freaking see Kevin Owens take two steps back behind Cody. I'm going, oh God, is this where they're going? Obviously, but it was so like, you know, because Kevin Owens, he plays everything so gray down the middle that you never know whether he's going to punch you in the mouth or give you a big bear hug, you know, and I love it. I'm here for that. I am too. And it's also like what we've seen from him before, right? I really do love that kind of stuff. I think maybe the move is that Randy Orton screws up the Kevin Owens and Cody match after losing to Gunther and he is the one to turn heel on both of them and Berlin. Do you think it's going that way or do you see a Kevin Owens flat out heel turn on the rise? Would it be mad about it? Because heel Kevin Owens is like my favorite. Yeah. You know, he's been, he's been a face for so long now that I kind of, you know, he's that one person that you can rely on that if things don't go his way. I mean, look at the way he treated Sammy, you know, when he was feuding with Sammy, like that's crazy, right? His best friend. Why wouldn't he do this to Cody? I don't understand what's happening with Randy and why he's when he showed up a Monday night. That made absolutely no sense to me. I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think Randy gets involved. I don't know why. I feel like this is a specific thing happening in our Smackdown timeline. It very well could be. This is the way I would have assumed this was going to go because a town down under seems like they are on the brink of extinction, right? We've seen so much dissension between the two of them. Montes Ford continues to be an athletic freak. I'm so glad that they seem to be wanting to make them a tag team again, probably on the baby face side as they should be. Dawkins hits theory with the doomsday blockbuster for the pin in this, but gosh, I was so excited to see the street profits being taken seriously. I don't mean a character, but backstage again with Bobby Lashley exiting. It's like, let's get these guys on track because Montes Ford is one of the most complete package wrestlers that there is. Angelo Dawkins is great and one of the most improved wrestlers that we've ever seen. I feel like on the main roster, the way he continues to evolve is is really wonderful. And I want them to be looking strong and they did tonight. I was glad about that. This was a perfectly serviceable match. Yes. I, I, Grayson Waller is really good in the ring. I don't think and I know there's people who differ with me on this and I welcome your dissenting opinions, but I am right now. I don't think I don't think this Grayson Waller turn is going to make Austin theory the baby face that they want it to be. I just, I don't, I don't think he reads as a face. I think he needs a manager because I'm always amazed by his in-ring work, but he is just not connected with the crowd at all during his title reign when he was US champion. And I don't think this has done a lot of favors for him. Grayson Waller has a very high ceiling and I hope they, they do tap into that, but what did you think about this contentorship match that we got? I, so this is one of the things that bothered me. We're continuing to put a 10 down on their on television knowing that, you know, if their demise is coming. I mean, I believe I've been the one that has been extremely vocal about, yeah, about the, the, these two and breaking them up. I mean, from the beginning, I'm like, I don't know, it just feels like they, they haven't really clicked. I feel like one is, is kind of holding the other back a little bit, not in a bad, like nasty way, but just kind of like, I'm not feeling their synergy. You know, us here in the corporate world, we use synergy. Of course. And synergy there is not working. What can you say about, you know, the street profits, except that we've been waiting for them to just kind of be taken more seriously. They've been off TV, on TV, off TV, on TV, like, let's just, let's just, you know, the tag team division in both companies have not been very hot as of late. So let's come on. But a while ago, we were talking about how Alex Pulaski and I were talking about how there's so many devices for titles now of King of the Ring, you got a shot at summer slab, you have money in the bank, you have rumble, like there's a lot of devices around here. And how cool it would be if in Royal Rumble, they made a star instead of using it to advance what we know are going to be title stories anyway. So his thought was, what if Montez Ford won the Royal Rumble? He was like, and Cashden and lost or like lost at summer slam. But like that guy that you're like, Oh, sick. He made it to the final four. What a great showing for Montez Ford. And then he just wins it kind of like what everybody really wanted with Roman years ago. He was like, what if they just did that? Because it's not that he's not the complete package, right? What if they just did that? And he, he lost that mania, but that's okay. Because titles change on different pay per views. Now that's something that's been very refreshing about the new era. Like, what if they just did? And I thought that was, I was like, man, that would be so much fun because Royal Rumble doesn't really get used as a star maker that much of recent. I feel like the last time they put it on someone really unexpected was Alberto Del Rio. And that that worked for what they wanted. There were obviously issues there, but they made him a top contender with it. But like Montez Ford as an out of nowhere guy that wins. And gets his, gets a shot and maybe loses. And then whoever it was against, whether it's like Cody or whatever, is that summer slam, like, man, that would be really fun. That would be really fun. I like it. And she gets interrupted by Chelsea Green and Piper. And what was a very fun segment? Like these big personalities interacting are so great. And Chelsea Green just continues to be so, so valuable. They play off their money in the bank history a little bit. I love Tiffany saying, why don't you just go get thrown off a ladder again? But this was this was really, really good stuff. And Piper Niven being like, nah, it doesn't even like pink. And if you were really her friend, yes, she would have known that she also runs into pretty deadly backstage with pop to be tremendously. And I know pop do tremendously because they are the best. And they're saying like, Hey, can we help get the set up? Oh, we should cast you in our pretty deadly musical, which is so great. They ask about her vocal range says they're looking for Sabrina Carpenter combined with someone else. I forget that it's so entertaining. But this is this is good. I'm glad we're continuing to put Tiffany in feuds where she can stay hot. Like I think Tiffany versus Chelsea would be good. Tiffany versus Piper would be good on her way to probably eventually cash in on Naya. So we will see what happens there. I'm assuming we're leading toward Naya and Piper. But this was a whole bunch of fun. And I love when we get to see Chelsea green doing what she does best on screen. It makes me very happy. So your thoughts on the segment that we got here? I, you know, she is, she's in an incredible talent. And not only in the ring when you see her physically in there, but gosh, like she's just all around so damn good. That backstage segment, she's just like flowing man, like natural, like she's having a real conversation with someone there. And yeah, ridiculous person, but you've met ridiculous people. Yes, exactly. So outside of that, there's really nothing more to say than that. She's just, she continues to show off why she will be a future world champion in the company. Yeah, I think she has assimilated very well to the main roster. And I'm glad she's shining because she deserves it. She's, she's doing very good work. So, but we move on to this quick recap of what kind of went down with Jade and Bianca and Alba Fire. And you're the love of your life. I love Don. And we get a very quick match here that Jade wins. And I feel like they are stuck a little bit with Jade. She hits the jaded for the win. She dominates the crap out of Alba Fire. And the issue to me is Alba Fire should not look like this much of a chump when she's this vulnerable of a tag team champion. They never get to defend. They had no TV time, much less wins going into the PLE where they won the belts. They had a really great defense on NXT because they can go. But I think there are still certain limitations with Jade where what she is able to execute, she looks great at, but she can't really expand yet into longer singles matches or if not, they just are pushing her like Goldberg, which God bless him if that's the case. But like even the octopus stretch that Jade just powered free from into a gut-red suplex. Like I just, she's a champion and she's incredible and she's the most successful women's NXT champion from the UK division of all time. And it, it really bums me out. It really bums me out that this tag title, right? Is this is, this is what we're doing with it. Like I just want the women's tag titles to feel important once. And every time they do stuff like this, I'm like, I get why Mercedes and Naomi left. Because they're just, they're not, they're not treated as anything other than props to make single stars. And that's just not the way it should go. Now, the trio stuff is certainly very interesting, right? We get Blair Davenport coming backstage. This British Isles faction is, is something that could be really cool, but they had her lose and she's barely been on the show. So how am I supposed to take them seriously? I love Naomi showing up here though. I love her natural hair whenever she, she wears it. It just looks so awesome. It feels like it fits her personality so much. But I don't know. It's if you're trying to make your tag champions look good, this ain't how you do it. And I kind of bummed me out, kind of bummed me out to be honest. But what were your thoughts? We talk about this weekend and week out. Why do you have your champions lose? What is, here we go, quote unquote, what is the story? What are we doing? Will it be finished? Yeah, like, I, I, I don't get it. Why are you booking my beautiful eye on to freaking lose, you know, and, and, and just like, like, and, yeah, I'll go fire. Sorry. Both of them. You're a lot of them. It's fine. Yeah, to, to lose and just like kind of like, I understand that, that Jade and Bianca are a big deal. And I understand as well that they are a powerful team, like they should be running shot through everyone. But I don't think like this is the right, I think that they needed to kind of just like, what, what we've seen with the men, you have these incredible tag team matches with, you know, building yourself up to, to the championship belts, right? There's definitely enough women in the, in the division to do this with. And I think that's what we're looking for. Am I wrong by that? Like, give me, give me a tag team tournament for the women. Give me everything that you have put inside of the men's for all these, all these tag team tournaments and everything. Like, give me that fire for the, for the women. Agreed entirely. And NXT used to have the, the dusty. They've merged the women's tag team belts. If you don't have space for it on SmackDown, send them on an NXT program. Yeah. Do something. Do something. Because to your point, hey, did you know Jade was strong? Yeah, I knew that before this match. All you've done here is make your champion look weak for no, for no real reason. So that is a bummer. But we'll say, I know pretty deadly, the musical would be a bust, I think. But I want it to happen so bad. I wanted to happen so bad, too. I would be the first to line for tickets. I feel as though Giovanni vignette hasn't really gotten to showcase what he could do on the main roster. It felt like in NXT, Ludwig was more of the, like, kind of like the Matt Jackson and Giovanni Vinci was the Nick Jackson and that he was, like, Ludwig Kaiser was selling in a motive and telling story very heavily and then you had, like, an athletic phenom on the other side, different stylistically, but that kind of balance. Giovanni Vinci, also a cool promo, can do a lot of really cool stuff, but I think you're going to be blown away by what he can do with the ring if they let him do what he's able to do. Take the chains off. Take the chains off this guy. Let them go. Let the boys play, let them work. Let them do their thing. Are you feeling your journey, Vinci, outside of being, like, in the Imperium Act on the main roster? Pretty much that's about it from what I've seen. I thought he was being played as a Trump the entire time. So when I saw this, when I saw this promo, it really, like, made me happy to see, you know, first of all, I was like, okay, they're going to let him go full with Daliano here, right? Let's go. They let him do that for a few weeks in NXT and then called him up, so I'm not totally surprised to see this presentation come back, but yeah, I'm excited to see what they're going to do with him. It seems like, again, with this certain regime, you know, they have certain people that they kind of let them be them, right, and use that as part of the game, which is something we saw, and I know you didn't grow up with this, but it's something that I saw in the attitude era. It was a, it was a piece of you turned up to the own degree, right? So this is kind of like the same thing. They're letting a lot of these workers and wrestlers kind of bring that piece of themselves and they're just giving it that extra, you know, production love behind it. Absolutely. Absolutely. They are. It's nice to see Giovanni Vinci's great. It's a little weird that we were getting like classist version of Goonther while this is getting rolled out, but I'm kind of hoping that we abandon that because that was not like the best, but we get LA Knight doing what he does best in this, but before we do meet Normus. I'm glad they got this done six months in advance, but I think that was part of some of the weirdness withdrew was before he resigned. We've seen what happens when things wait too late. It really affects the creative, but sure. LA night getting this huge pop well-deserved says that summer slam has come and gone. And he says was it a question about how sweet it was to beat Logan Paul in his hometown. And he said more than Logan Paul deserved to get stomped out. Yeah, the only thing that night cares about is making good on telling everyone to call him whatever they want as long as that includes champion, which is some good kind of more up-the-middle baby face stuff from LA night. We get so much of the throwback attitude era throwing jabs saying Logan Paul's head is so empty. They could put up a spirit Halloween in it stuff that it was really, really nice to have like some some more emotive stuff from him. But Santos Escobar interrupts, which I love to see, and he wants to congratulate him and says it's not every day a guy like LA night gets to taste gold. And that he's just not like championship material is what he kind of implies and that he's going to fade into being an opening act once Santos Escobar beats him for that title. With everybody saying Escobar C which I love from him. Night couldn't hear any of that over the crowd, but he does tell Escobar that he sucks and he's going to beat the brakes off of him. And he says that he's beat him a million times before and he'll beat him a million times again. And then Andrade heads to the ring because this is going to be a contendership bash. Now, I really love that LA night is the champion and I love that we have a US champion that is present. I love Santos Escobar. He's not going to win, but I think it's a really good first defense. I hope it does something for him and moves it in the right direction. I like that they set this up, but my thing is what the hell aren't we doing with Carmelo Hayes? That guy lost twice. I thought that was going to be fodder for LA night to pick up their history where it left off and be like you've been doing nothing but losing. I'll kick your ass again. Who cares? Whatever. Yeah. Let me talk to you. I thought we were going to get one of those, but first round draft big Carmelo Hayes hasn't gotten shit since he's come to the top of the roster. So now what I mean by that is he hasn't been given a real story or few desync his teeth into. He has had some incredible matches and some against very marquee talents, but two losses in a row to Andrade where he showed out doesn't really do a lot for him. Get this guy in a story. He's an incredible heel promo. He's incredible. He's really good face promo, but he's an incredible heel promo. He's fantastic in the ring. He's cool as hell. I don't I don't like it unless this is going to turn into a triple threat like wire, which is what I was thinking. Yeah. And it could I mean, both of them need to be protected, I guess. So I don't know what you do there, but let's talk about what we got out of the segment first, and then you can let me know what you think about Carmelo Hayes. But what'd you think of the promos that we got here? That's well done, man. I think that, uh, you know, anything LA nice says people are going to buy. I mean, anything he can say, I just punted a child in the parking lot and everyone will scream right after. Yeah, you know, like people are not going to be for not going to like boo him. Um, they they sure booed the hell out of Santos, which is what you want to see, right? Because the last thing you want to do as a heel is come out and the fans be flat sitting on their hands. And he was getting nuclear heat, um, against Santos against, uh, LA night, uh, Santos was. So it's it's kind of good to see that. I'm extremely happy, even though, you know, LA night's thinking they'd be going anywhere, you know, this title's not going to go anywhere anytime soon. Um, it's still nice to see that he's getting that that hate. Agreed, agreed. I think, uh, I think the fact that he's getting that heat when there hasn't been really strong programming around him is a very good side is a very, and people are so much behind LA night that anyone who decides to come out and go up against their, their hero, they're going to boo the crap out. It turns out the thing that they had to do to make him into the top baby face was to give him a four year title reign is a monster heel. Uh, and, uh, then to make sure that he won all of his title defenses, uh, by having his cousin's cheat for him. Boom, instant baby face. Honestly, I'm surprised Vince McMahon didn't try this earlier. It was so obvious. Okay, but did you consider he could say suffer and suck a tash and that was not enough. See, that was not part of the, that's not all that happened. His entire jerk head cousins and family formed a whole other thing, but right. But anyway, uh, it's like a whole other deal. Yeah, it's a whole other deal. Uh, am I, am I happy, Fakie and Eichner is coming back to wrestle? Yes. He's fakey and Eichner. He's not Fabian Eichner anymore. He's Fakie and Eichner. I just wish that he was that and not Giovanni Vinci. For those of you too young to remember, a few years ago, they just had him abandoned Imperium for no reason, sort of running vignettes about a guy who likes wine and fast red cars a lot. And also coffee and also he wore a belt buckle that said V. Um, and, and so that was that was the next day that was wild. They have fun. And we have to like live with it. So, um, that was the gimmick and he was great. The matches he had were great, but also the gimmick stunk. So now they're like, okay, you brought him up, put him back with Imperium, then he got jumped out of the gang. And then he was gone for a couple of months. And now they're like, what if we just did the same, absolutely terrible gimmick? We did with him an NXT, um, do that on the main roster. And we won't know if it's going to be good or not, but as long as I see Fakie and Eichner wrestling matches, I'm going to, I'm going to be happy about it. Me too. Me too. Very excited that he's coming back. I'm intrigued to see how like, if he finds a new tag partner or if he's just in the mid card, like him versus LA Knight, sign me up for it, right? Like, that could be, that could be very fun. Um, uh, also, um, I mean, I'm, I'm sure you guys discussed this, but Cody Rhodes is a terrible friend. I mean, uh, he, he, listen, you must respect your friend's wishes. Put some respect on my friends. Listen, he, uh, you offered the title match KO politely declined. He said the thing is KO. He can't say why he really doesn't want to do the match because he's, he's finally reached a place where he's good with being a good guy. And he likes being that and he doesn't want to go back to being a bad guy. And when he says, no, I don't want to face you for your title. What he's saying is, if I face you for your title, I'm going to slip back into that dark place. I don't want to go there. And he can't say it out loud. But if Cody was a good friend, he should just know that's what Kevin's trying to tell him. But no, I got to be altruistic Cody Rhodes and force you into taking the title match that you told me you don't want. So, but it's your sneakiest trick yet was you were like, I'm going to provide a bunch of creative insight and value, but I'm going to mask it. And in my sourflower range, when it's going to be such a good story. And I want to see Kevin Owens go to the dark side, but go ahead. I love that they just use the shatter machine now. When they first started using it, Dax had just tweeted out a picture of their one of the most iconic matches in history. And I love that they've just adopted it because they won't do it really well. And two, it just feels like such a nod to what was one of the best matches I've ever seen. So I'll take that. But this was really good. Very fun to see pretty deadly in action. It's so nice to see them in the ring because I am going to be first in line to get tickets to their musical. But they are great. They're a really good team. I thought the chemistry here was fun. So not mad about that at all. DIY winning is good. They should be pissed about their loss. But we'll see what is next for them. And I think it'll let Cody kind of be separate from things for a while and we back in what he needs to. So I really thought we were gonna get like a very long drawn out promo from Roman. And I think it's the reaction to him is so big. It's it's it's gonna be a really interesting thing on how they handle him and Cody on the same show. Agreed. Right now he feels bigger than the title for sure. Like he just he's feels like he's the biggest thing in the universe. And and and I don't know how that it feels like it's gonna be like you know this town I'm big enough for the both right. It feels like there's got to be a moment like that even if they're respectful of one another. Like there's nobody on raw who's as big as this not even punk whatever CM Punk is. There's nobody on on Raw who's as big as this. You got to have one of these guys on Raw and the other guy on SmackDown. How you get there? I don't know. But you got it. So I kind of get where they're going. But Alex, I figured the reaction was going to be this big. But Drew who doesn't have to pay for chats. Cuz says Roman and Cody are the top baby faces on one show with no dominant heel. Drew and Gunther are the top heels on one show with no dominant faces. We need a switch up. I would argue that Drew is kind of the face because I don't think taking a bracelet is the worst thing. They wouldn't argue that though. They're definitely.
