[Music] [Music] Happy Fourth of July. This is the Johnny Cleveland Show. I hope you're enjoying your holiday so far. It's about noon, a little bit past noon here in the Buckeye State. What plans do you have today? Are you barbecuing already? It's pretty nice here where I'm at in the Columbus area. I know there's a little bit of rain coming this direction. So depending on where you're listening to us or following us or watching us, you might have different circumstances. What are your plans today? You're going to be cooking out, barbecuing, going to the pool, going to the lake. Are you already at the lake? Hope you're all having a great, great holiday. Again, we are part of the Fanatical Elves Network, part of Fan's first sports network. I'm your host, John Suchan. If you're watching us on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, the X. Thank you. Thank you for being here. Got a new little background. We found a picture of Cleveland. What do you know? You know, we are the Johnny Cleveland show. We're all about Cleveland, all about the Brownies, particularly here on the Fanatical Elves, but we do talk guards, we do talk calves. And this is my Johnny Cleveland show, which we started this back in 2020 at the right when the pandemic was kind of getting started and have really, really enjoyed coming to you. We've got a great group of other colleagues now that have joined us here in the Fanatical Elves. The Fan's first group has been awesome over the last year supporting us. And we just look forward to doing bigger and better things over this next year. I always like to give a shout out to the colleagues that I have, but like Lou Marconi does a great talk with his Burning River Browns talk, you know, Olsen with his East Bank sports shows out of the office, all that awesome stuff. College of Wooster grad too, which I like. I'm from Wooster as well. Steve Gill knocking another park all the time with his Dog Pound South show. It's been with us the longest. We got the youngster Sam down there in Dallas, Texas, we're in his cowboy at Jarrell Flint with his dog radio shows his dog store.com. We really would appreciate you going to his website, finding that, buying some of his gear, his apparel. We also have a store, the Elves Network. If you go to the X page, click on that. You'll see a bunch of apparel that's for sale. No, Olsen helped put that together. Make sure you're checking that out, buying our stuff. We really appreciate your supporting us. We have lots of giveaways. We haven't had one in about a week. We'll be doing one here probably next week again. So make sure that you are following us, retweeting, reposting all of our material. We really would like you to also subscribe to our YouTube channel. We don't have a lot of followers on YouTube right now. We do have some, what, 150, 200 of you? Thank you very much if you've already subscribed. But we really would like to grow that part of our brand. And we'd appreciate it if you went over there and followed us and subscribed. The best thing to do for us right now is to subscribe to us on Apple on Spotify, where you're hopefully listening to us right now. And then you'll never miss a show if you follow us or subscribe to us. It's free. It doesn't cost anything, but it'll come up on your phone. Boom. The Fanatical Elves got another show. I like to listen to some other podcasts in the area. There's a lot of good podcasters out there. I know we've just got to follow. We've been following the Ohio State Sports Podcast. We've also recently listened to the beer and browns podcast. Great guys. Looks seems like over there. So there's a lot of great podcasters out there. We really appreciate you tuning in to ours as well. I listened to several others. The dog. What's the one I see here? I've got it up here on my phone. It's the dogs podcast. Some of you might listen to those guys really, really in tune with the brownies. Enjoy listening to their shows as well. I mean, I know there's a wealth of us out there and you can pick and choose who you want to listen to. What I really always love about our network is just the variety of guys that we have with our network. You can listen to me be the crazy wild fan that I am. Sometimes I don't make sense or sometimes I go off the cliff with my rants. But you also have Steady Addy and Steve Gill and youngster like Sam down there in Dallas. He really has a great young perspective as well as Noah bringing his East Bank sports show. So thanks again for tuning in. Happy 4th of July. Just wanted to come on today. I know many of you are out and about. But if you do get a chance to listen to our show, awesome. Not a lot of news today because it is the 4th of July. Brown's news is not happening too much right now. There's a lot of this, that and the other thing. There was a funny article that was posted. I wanted to get to that here momentarily about what parts of the traditional barbecues would be. Brown's players. So like the hot dogs, the hamburgers, the potato salad. Speaking of potato salad, I know Joel and I were talking last night on the Fanatical L show and he was talking about potato salad. He was looking forward to eating potato salad. As I am, we've got a whole dish full of it in our fridge this morning. Do you like the potato salad, just plain old potato salad? Or do you like throwing in like for the deviled egg stuff and make it really super duper cool? I mean, which one do you like? Are you a hamburger guy? Are you a hot dog guy? Are you a Polish kabasa guy? You know, got that Polish jeans on our side of the family. So we always like the Polish kabobs. We'll get to that here in a little bit. Guards, just some Cleveland news, guards took the lost yesterday to the lowly White Sox. How exactly? I mean, come on, dude. The tribe should not be losing to the lowly White Sox in front of a sellout crowd. It's too bad. I'm glad that they got the sellout. I think it was like their seventh or eighth of the season, which is awesome. And the guards are doing well this year. But they've got the Minnesota Twins on their heels. And I know many of you think that the guards are a lock to go to the playoffs at this point. We still have, what, one, two, two and a half months worth of baseball play. Nothing's a lock. And our pitching staff has not been very solid. They Gavin Williams got to start yesterday and didn't do very well in five innings of play. So glad to hear, though, that Jose Ramirez and Stephen Kwan did make the all star team as starters. Congratulations to both of them. King James gospel. I write for King James gospel part of fans cited and we cover the calves and I've got a new article out this morning. Talking about three former NBA stars that took a chance in Cleveland or the calves took a chance on them. And they were disasters. They were failures and didn't work out. So one of those players that you might see on the on the on the article is Dwayne Wade. Yeah, you know, Dwayne Wade was here for like a split second and then he got traded. That was in that 20 2017 season prior to LeBron jump and ship again. And then he going off to Los Angeles where he's been ever since. But go ahead and read that articles on King James gospel part of fan sided would appreciate that as well. Also right for Northeast sports insiders and our fans first sports network. We've been doing some top 10 historically best brown since 1999. I've given you the first four that include Baker. Phil Dawson and Phil we trust. Three or number. Eight was Tim couch. And yesterday we came out with Josh cribs at number seven. Some of you are arguing with me that Josh Crypto should even be higher. I'm not going to necessarily debate that because you might be right. But any who. Okay, we're going to pause here on the Jenny Cleveland podcast part of fans first sports network happy fourth of July will be right back. Hey, did you notice I am wearing my red, white and blue. No, I don't know. White, but I have my red and my blue. So happy fourth. All right, so the Browns were compared to food items. The Browns players were compared to food items on the 4th of July. And I thought it would be fun. Hold on a second. I got lost my phone. Okay, I'm back. So let's look at this list here and see if you agree. I thought this was a nice Spencer German German. Of sports illustrated. Browns digest wrote this came out today. And he talked about players and what they related to as far as the barbecue. So who do you think the hot dogs and hamburgers are. A one Nicholas Chubb. That's right. Nick Chubb. Old reliable. He's what he says. Essentially without hamburgers and hot dogs. There is no barbecue making them the staple item of any 4th of July. Cook out. You pretty much know that almost everyone at the party will eat one or the other when it comes to a hamburger or a dog. In the same way that there's not a single person out there who doesn't like Chubb. There you go. Not to mention the idea of him being represented by the main source of protein at the party. Good job. Alright, number two is the potato salad. Our world famous potato salad. Amari Cooper. Interesting. It seems like he's the most underrated wide receiver according to the various slate recently of the Philadelphia Eagles. Potato settled is the staple of any 4th of July. But it oftentimes gets overshadowed according to this author on the 4th by the glitz and glamour of any of the other items on the menu. Kind of agree. Number three. They give Jeremiah Usekomorro. They compare him to street corn. Saying I don't know. Something about crunchy street corn says J.O.K. to me. Good street corn should have a little chart to it and possess some juicy flavor qualities and that athletic linebacker brings that when he plays football. Interesting. Number four. Who do you think mac and cheese is? Mac and cheese? No, none other than. This is the last stretch. Miles Garrett is what he says. If made right, mac and cheese can oftentimes be the star of the show, which is why it feels only right to pair it with Garrett. He is the star of the Browns more often than not and boy is it delicious when he is. No breadcrumbs though, he says. Bake beans, none other than Joel Betonio. Nothing screams offensive lineman like a steaming bowl of baked potato or baked beans. Buffalo chicken dip. He compares them to David and Joku. Dips are always a bit of a wild card. Ooh, there you go. There's so many different types of chews from and you need to choose one that will best complement the meal. That said, it feels like Buffalo chicken dip has become a go-to option for holiday gatherings, which sounds a lot like Nijoku, who has become a go-to weapon and Cleveland's offense when you need a first down or a big play. Not only that, but Browns under offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey is considered spicy, they said. And we consider, I guess Nijoku spicy. And finally, who do you think apple pie is? The apple pie, none other than steady Eddie. That's right. Kevin Stafansky, an American classics. Stafansky has proven through his four years in Cleveland that he's an all American coach and just like sweet, sweet apple pie brings the whole barbecue menu together. Stafansky holds the Browns locker room together. All right, there you go. Happy. We got our flag here. Happy 4th of July on the Johnny Cleveland podcast part of fans first sports network. We are the fanatical elves. We're a bunch of wild and crazy fans, just like you. Thank you for joining us. Happy 4th of July. Tune in next time. We'll have a coffee joke with Johnny Cleveland tomorrow morning Friday to get you up and around and going. Again, be safe out there. Enjoy the fireworks tonight. And go Brown's.
