the one that's been a lot of the fans. Aaron Stefan on a Saturday morning. It is currently the third round of NHL draft. Yeah. The capital's just selected. Eric's Matt's CEO. So the conductor, yeah, three picks away. One pick up New Jersey just picked Herman Traff. Caroline is picking at 92 and then the next pick. I mean, I could see them taking Kiva Hargio who's fallen a lot, but Vancouver. I mean, Vancouver taking him in the third round is good. We're going to. So care hard. You're saying just before we start recording that's the guy that was projected to go like first overall a few years ago. He's a finished defense man who was playing in the in like the finished men's league like as a 15 or 16 or all I think. So people were like, Oh my God, this guy's going to be so sick. And then he's had a lot of injury problems. He's a smaller offensive defense man. It's not like super valuable. But like in the third round bucket, I would absolutely take a swing on him. Yeah, if you can like mine that value, right? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I hope they trade the third pick to Carolina. Get the right to check in. Honestly, trading back would not be the worst thing in the world. Yeah, we know we talked about the draft a few episodes ago and I had four targets in mind just based off kind of Scott Wheeler stuff, really. But one of those guys went who was a Bernier, the French defenseman, but there's still three of those guys available here. We'll see what happens. It should happen any second now. The draft guide for elite prospects, they had Parker al cost at a 93. No, no, I do who that is. Zarin coming in hot from the editing bay. They actually ended up drafting Parker alcos alcos at 189th overall. He's a big mobile shutdown defenseman from Port Moody, who put up 15 points in 67 games last year. Great tracking data, big mobile intelligent player according to JD Burke. So yeah, that's kind of cool. Got him in the six round instead. Not bad. Not bad at all, folks. I think we should get a few Canucks picks during this episode, right? Because there's they're picking twice in the round. Is that right? Yeah, but it's just I think it's twice in the fifth. They have a late fourth and then they've got maybe it's twice in the sixth. Hopefully we'll get to the their fourth round pick as well. Yeah, I don't know if they have no picks in the fifth. Yeah, no, it's in the fifth and two in the six. Yeah. And then yeah, they're picking the fourth. I watched the draft last night. Made the Lindholm trade feel better to me because like they're picking at 28th. Apparently the guy Calgary gots pretty good, but I think yeah, Calgary's had a pretty good draft so far, I think. Zen Perak. I really, really like he's I'm pissed that I have to hate him now because he's on Calgary. Yeah, it seems like kind of a home run pick. And I like my girlfriend was upset that they didn't get T.J. Ginlow, which fair enough, I would be too. But it sounds like they got an equally good prospect. They got a really they got a better prospect, I think as well. And I think San Jose did really well, Minnesota did really well. It was I don't know. People were saying it wasn't an exciting draft and it wasn't in terms of trades. But I think it was in terms of like the you know, the variants of like rankings and stuff and like, you know, back and set it going up third. Yeah, that was so funny. His reaction was so good. I'm happy for our Montreal Canadian fans listeners that they're able to finally get their high upside guy in Demodoff. I think that's a really exciting pick. Oh, yeah, Caroline is trading the nice second overall pick, by the way. So I bet you someone's trading up here to take Kipa Hargio swap me over. Thank you for 93rd. I mean, maybe. Yeah, we'll see. God, Carolina just trades back so much. They just get so many picks. Vegas is so funny as well, trading Logan Thompson. Like day two is when all the trades are happening. Yeah, so I guess let's start with that. Yeah, just all the trades that have happened today. So we have, I think the biggest one is sort of Jeff going to, to Utah for Connor geeky, a second round pick that defense. Yeah, Moser. It's and like another late pick. I think that's a good trade for both teams, to be honest. Yeah, I agree. Like, I mean, they clear up eight and a half million dollars in cap space, which I mean, Elliott Friedman was pretty quick and saying they want Genssel, which kind of blows just to keep Stan coast, man. Leave Genssel to us. Give me something. Give me something, please. That would really piss me off. It did Reinhardt re-sign yet officially. I don't know if it's official or official, but it was reported that like he is going to sign for just below what Matthew could check sign for. Damn, because I was wondering if Tampa would take a swing at him, you know, but that'd be funny. That would be kind of funny, but also like why would he leave Florida? Yeah. Our last Patreon episode, I was like, imagine if Florida loses and then he's disenchanted and maybe he wants to come home. And then he won the Stanley Cup, but you had the game. Yeah. Probably not going to go traded for the pick with Carolina, by the way, and they've selected Jack Priddham. Okay. So give a hard you is available for the Canucks. I mean, third, third round pick. I think like that's a pretty good swing to take. Oh, it's like high upside in the draft, man. Just go for the one that might break big. Like the Bruce damaged pick last year was really smart. I hopefully they can mine similar, value with their pick. Yeah, pick here. We'll see. We'll see what happens here. But yeah. So yeah, the, the, the, the circuit chip trade was crazy. Like he had a really bad year last year, but he was also hurt, right? So, yeah, like the season prior, it looked like he could be a legit number one defenseman. Like he really, yeah, really popped. And he's still only, I believe it's 26, right? Like he is or 27. He's like her own a gauge. He is. Yeah. I think I think and he'll be like the guy, obviously. And they took Melvin Fernstrom. The Canucks did. Okay. Yeah. Never picked a guy called Melvin, huh? You know what? I kind of respect it. Melvin. They took, he's a, he's a Swedish right winger. We need more Saskatchewan and less, uh, Stockholm. It's so funny. They took a Swedish guy. They really do love Swedish players. Okay. So I'm on the, the EP ringside draft guide. I guess elite, elite prospects, six foot tall, 187 pounds shoots right. Okay. Uh, elevator pitch, a player who finds space and times itself well with the play in the offensive zone is off. 127 points and 99 games is off. Plug instincts enable him to take advantage of his shot. Okay. All right. Okay. Yeah. That, that works for me. Um, all right. Well, we'll, we'll, you know what? I trust, I trust them. I guess we'll, uh, I, I don't fucking, I'm not going to pretend I know anything. Yeah. I mean, either. I'm just, I'm just looking at EP prospect guide. So you guys don't have to, uh, seems like a purely offensive player, which I, I like his guys, his little cards here say sniper vision and raw. Okay. I like this. Um, for the like tracking stuff, his overall was a 68 offense, 94 transition, 20 defense, 27. Okay. Drance says really auspicious scoring profile evaluators seem to view him as the highest upside guy remaining on the board. All right. All right. That works, works for me. Okay. I do like the idea of having a guy named Melvin as well. Yeah. Okay. So we're probably about like 45 minutes away from, uh, perfect. Uh, before it has some clear holes in skill set, he lacks the quickness and the speed to escape defenders or beat them in straight lines. And he loses many of his one on one battles. But these weaknesses also shape his overall game. They force him to develop some unique ways to score. Burn some reads the play away from the puck, anticipates where the next pass will come and gets there as the puck carrying teammates turn to execute the play. His shot may not be the most powerful, but he gets it off from the right positions and angles to score. And then right here can also distribute the puck just as well. He finds teammates right at the doorstep regularly during games, racking up assists. All right. Yeah. I mean, look, I think if, if, yeah, as Kam Robinson says, the feed aren't great, plays a bit soft, but the kid knows how to jack points. Yeah. I mean, late. I'm not too bummed about that. Sure. I think also like skating can be taught, you know, you look at something like, obviously, the play, you know, Mark Stone or Jason Robertson, those are like the absolute best case scenario, but you might as well take a big, a big swing like this. Sure. Okay. Yeah. That sounds good to me. Why not? I'm hoping we get some actual Canucks, like trades today. That would be great, but. Yeah, because we had a flurry last week, like we haven't recorded since any of the stuff happened. We haven't recorded since the Oilers lost. We haven't. I thought we recorded right after. No, I don't think we did. What the hell is our last episode? We recorded the day before. We recorded on the Sunday. Oh, yeah. Cause I think it was, we were busy this week. So like it just, but yeah, I think, uh, you know, yeah, it seems like ancient history now. I know the direct reaction, but, but I will say like, I think we did play a pretty big role in Florida winning because we were acting like it was a foregone conclusion that the Oilers were going to win. We were talking about how Florida was going to be the new premier member of the sad club, et cetera, et cetera. So Florida, you're welcome. And thank God the Oilers lost God. That was, that was such a fun couple days online. Oh, yeah. That was because their fans couldn't even talk shit back. Like they just couldn't, right? Like, I remember 2011, obviously, and that was 2011. I don't bring the bell. It's brought it up. Less than 10. Yeah, I did. Yeah. It's tough because like, obviously this is like a crushing loss for Oilers fans. Oh, it sucks so bad. It sucks so bad, but then, but again, they have won five cups before. Yeah,
