Half the crew is still sick but this time it includes the GM! What is a RPG group to do? Play a one-shot you say? But.. the members who ARE here hate one-shots, they prefer to play established characters. Is there a solution? Will the one-shot truly be a one-shot?!? Listen and find out.

Actual Play: 12:19

[Music] Hello, welcome to Nights at Night Actual Play Podcast. This one-shot Dresden Files adventure was written and run by your GM Tom. And now, please enjoy episode 250, titled, "Damn the Alphabet." Actual play begins 12 minutes, 19 seconds. [Music] Love the podcast from friendly the ogre. Hey guys, I was recommended your podcast by Dougo from Dice Heroes, as I was catching up on their podcast. He suggested I listen to your fake core games after I ran my own fake core, after listening to the Dice Heroes, fate-running. But instead of doing that, I started at the beginning with shitlock. Ooh, bad choice. Terrible choice. I wasn't there. That's why it's a bad choice. So far, I love it. The players are great and there is wonderful interaction between the players and the storyteller. Good news. And the guy with the honeycomb inside his body was totally creepy. I might have to steal that for a game I'm running at some point. I just started at episode 14, who brings a werewolf to a gunfight. Only 234 more episodes to go. Can't wait. Scredly will be sad one day when he catches up and has to wait like everyone else. I expect it will actually happen. Thanks for listening. He responded with a second email that said, "Still loving it." That was a title. And said, "Also, I'm originally from the Columbus area, so I'm at least vaguely familiar with your area that you're playing in, so that's pretty awesome." I would imagine having some familiarity with it that adds a little different dimension to it as well, if you know the area happen. Well, thanks for listening, Scredly. Hope you enjoy the rest of the episode. Over on kotnpodcast.com, our blog site, Joe C posted. He made a comment about the title, which was from the inside. Admit it, Tom. You're doing this on purpose, aren't you? Aren't you? Well, actually to be clear, I don't know if it's been mentioned in a while, but our titles of our episodes come from votes on our Facebook page. To be fair, recently. Because if you're listening to episodes one through two hundred or something, no, it was picked by the storyteller or the editor. I think it happens at the very end of the second Dresden trial. Doesn't? Yeah. These titles are picked by the listeners, but the choices that are given are taken directly from something that the players said during the game. And the listeners have no idea what it means. No, but the context is, but they've just picked the most fun 71. I thought they were all from Thomas. No, like 50 percent. Yeah, probably. Quite a few of them. I spent a night reading them in the front row, and I commented on what happened in that particular episode. Oh, and you actually tallied the score? I thought he actually won. Well, it was close to 50. I had three in a row at one point. Smartasswisecrex.com, and just studied various phraseology, and then just tried to work it into the story. I'm the editor of that website. [LAUGHTER] He's making the calendar that we'll release next year. Anyways, Joe continues. Well, it looks like we're coming up in an extra special musical episode. Oh, fuck. Well, it's 250, which is this episode. It's dangerous to GM alone. Here, Mike, take this, and it was a link to a Google search for random magical effects. It's a big, old list for magical surges, perfect for gaming with some kind of chaotic, magical disruption, don't you think? No matter what gets rolled, scroll down the PDF and say, oh, the effect caused everybody within 100 feet to communicate in a song for two-day, six hours. Musical episode taken care of. Let the dwarven drinking songs begin. That is a very optimistic estimate of how long it takes us to play these sessions. Yes, it does. To be clear, the listeners already know, because the starting of this episode was the Dressing File Music. So this episode number 250 is going to be unique in that it is a Dressing File's one shot that where you ran last week when virtually half of the players were sick. It's been a brutal, brutal fall. I figured out why-- Nice cough. I'm leaving it in. Nice. We're fitting. I figured out why you did the one shot. Yeah? Yeah, that way I have to be there at the end of it. And I can't miss it. You can't miss it. It's the first anything I've ever been to. And it was completed. Yeah. Because it was a pre-existing character. It was like, he slayed every dragon, every gym dragon there was, in that one jump there. One jump there, that was an adventure. Which didn't die. Yeah, my character didn't die. His character was done. Which episode is right after this feedback? It may be two episodes, or it might be one overly long one, I think. High probably. I'm going to go-- Yeah, it's a one shot. Yeah, it's a two hundred and fifty one shot long, maybe an hour and a half. The fans, I think, will appreciate, you know, because you go so short usually, you know, half hour, 45 minutes, whatever. Yeah. Consistently? Yeah. Two fifty, an hour and a half. I got this. Because they need, those of those, those that live in the United States, need it to survive Thanksgiving. To drive the grandmother's house. Thanksgiving dinner. Believe it or not, extra time. Even make it longer, don't edit it. No, that's not going to happen. That'll never happen. When I stop editing, the podcast stops. Dies, I was going to say, but yes. Over to Facebook, we had a post on our main page. Sorry, Owen, I almost lost this one, but I did manage to catch it. Owen M posted and said, "Well, it was a while coming, but I finally got around to starting my own drugs and files game. Thanks for providing inspiration and compelling stories that filled my own desire to gather my family together and build the world. I'm trying to get the background ambient tracks to set the mood like you do in your game. Is there anywhere that I can source them easily? Love your work, some random guy from Australia." First off, congratulations. Oh, I want to take a step and run in his own campaign and please give us feedback and let us know how it's going. Sure. No, it's a quick answer. I get music from all over the place, so there's no one centralized location there. YouTube is obviously a very-- Oh, yeah. I mean, there's a number of different links that you can use to take YouTube and convert to an mp3. So if you just find some music you get like there, you can do that. Which a lot of our theme music is written especially for us, but the ambient music in the background, it's from all different kind of places. Right. I'm afraid there's no centralized location. Is there any website you can search for just a theme? No, I have one for sound effects. Yeah, it's like Sound.org or something like that. Yeah. Like, I can't remember what sound-- It's on our blog sites. There's a reason-- Oh, I should definitely check that out. Because there are a couple links there from way back when I started, because I used to fit start fiddling with that with world of darkness, way back when I think of things-- Somebody recently on the Facebook fan page put a list of ambient music. I'm going to have to look for that, and I'll make sure I get it to you on. Okay, sorry, I couldn't be more useful. Also, on our Facebook page, I posted an apology for the episode being one day late. The reason was because-- Well, it was actually caused by the apocalypse. It's a fallout for apocalypse. It was my youngest son who was born-- I saw it was fallout for on my machine, because his machine isn't robust enough. So I was editing the podcast on the work machine, and after about three or four hours of work, it went blue screen of death on me, and I lost them all four hours of work that I did. Now, I didn't lose the episode. I have many, many copies of that. I lost just the four hours I had spent, which was at that point, "Okay, I'm going to bed. I'm coming out just day late." Fuck it. Some disheartening should. It is, it is. I've noticed that in my game, our page, the impact of fallout. All of a sudden-- Oh, everybody's gone from the hills. All of a sudden the servers are clear. I can-- there's no one on the seas. I'm transporting stuff pretty easily, and I'm just like, "You know what? I can enjoy this for a while." What's the verdict on the game? Good bed. Good game. Bed RPG. Yeah. My son's friend did the same thing, but the game for the PC went to load it, didn't work. Came over to our house at works here. Guess what? I'm going to be here for the next week, every day. Mark's machine is a 32-bit operating system. It has to be 64. Has to be. That's what the problem is. Well, his machine's kind of older as well, but that he simply won't run. There's not even an executable that he had. Memory death. Yeah, it's limited to two gigs unless you have 64 beds, so that's part of the problem. On the blue screen of death, Ari jumped in and said, "Okay, hope the boss won't mind and accept the reason that I don't have a KOTN episode for my drive." You cannot drive. That's right. No, I'm going to go to work. How are you? Enjoy the time off, buddy. Chris N. Postman. You're welcome. Chris N. Postman said, "Ack, that sucks, Tom." And I have to agree. It definitely did suck. My game locked up, actually. I thought I lost a day and a half of progress. I just didn't play the rest of the night. I discovered this morning that I actually saved. In winter three, I lost a 20-second 24th somewhere around their level character because my heart got-- Are they interrupted? Oh, you're right. That's right. That's right. Is that like 40 hours of play? Oh, my 940, that was probably 100. Because I play like slow and think like-- Yeah, I play very slow. I think I had a total of 100 hours in. Sorry. Yeah, RPG's losing progress sucks. Work? Probably worse. It wasn't work. It was in a podcast. It's 40. Episode 249, she doesn't have a beard. Who are we reading? Iron ass. I'm not going to go. It actually was-- Mike went into a lengthy description of the guy who walked out and described it as a ranger. And he had a slight beard. And you asked because you want to know if he was in charge. If he had a slight beard, he wouldn't be in charge. He had to have a manly beard. And then Mike went, oh, no. It's she. She doesn't have a beard. I don't remember that. I would have figured it out completely. So Jason C. Posten said, first off, meeting a door and opening it without any preamble. You should be proud, Knights. Let's get to the point where we got blasted in the fucking face with a blunder bus way to read-- Real quick. The green force. The scary force. Like, Mike. The quote is, every door is a Rubik's Cube. Yeah. That door was a fucking puzzle. Yes, it actually was. Don't you tell me there was no preamble. Secondly, I distract the fire. Was not a choice of an episode title? Oh, well. Keep those dice rolling. That actually was pretty good. Yeah, that actually was. But again, can't catch them all. After losing four fucking hours, I was just hurrying to get it redoneed out there. And yeah, but my good title slipped through. Adam M. posted under 249 as well and said, "I'm glad to have some more dwarven action." I filled in the time by listening to Cleric Quinton's by Salvatore and heard Ivan and fight bolder shoulders, heroics. Now onto the KOTN antics. Take that, fire. REJ posted and said, doors, you say? To open, you claim? What wizardry is happening in this podcast? I'll be listening to Find Out right now. And talking like you. And he posted later saying, "Hey, get it and explosions in the same sentence. Watch it, Knights." So thanks. All right, for the feedback and everyone else. And that great Scandinavian humor. You know what? I did forget the teachers again. Next week, we'll give out two teachers, one for December, one for November. Just so that we don't have to worry and they'll get in time to wear it to the Christmas party. The Christmas party, though. How many guys have already spent? I don't know why you do that. But with that, we'll get on to the... I would like to say our hearts and prayer spot to the other people who are infected with what's going on in Paris, right? Yeah, that's tragic. Yeah, stay strong. Good thought. Okay, I am filling in as DM tonight. And in fact, we are not playing for the edition we're playing. They... Oh, you're not a deer, right? Game. How do you want to go to a dungeon? Are we running a dungeon? No, we're not running a dungeon. We're running a one-shotting dressing. That's what would be really good. Which you'll explain to the listeners what the hell the music was that was different. Because it will be. The intro music for dressing is different. It will have happened. It will have... Had... Is that a past perfect or? We enjoy that bit of time travel. It will have had been. Are we going to save this? Are we going to put it right where it was? I'm thinking of dropping it in between the... Because if I wait, it'll be, like, fifth edition, then this, then redesigning the Dresden world and characters, and then back into Dresden. What are the gems that we're about to own this? The fifth edition. We're waiting for Jim and Max, yeah. So, we're returning to Dresden. I am your GM, Tom, and starting on my right. I'm Michael, playing with the record Pierce. An old Vietnam vet, and an antiogenic organic alchemist. I'm Jim playing Edmund Shadowski. He is a rich businessman by court-powered cyan. I am Scott playing London Deals, a moral seer to the supernatural powers, all around wonderful, metrosexual. I'm Thomas, playing Maxwell Edison. I'm undercover Homeland Security operative. I'm John, playing Roberto Martinez, a People's Guardian, empowered by a fallen angel. So, we're not occurring in this film, would be Alan the Warden, La Zelda, and Bob was playing Steven. We're going to start everybody with their refreshed pull. Roberto has three left over, because despite having a base refresh of nine, he has spent six of them. So, everybody's three? How about Maxwell? Four. Oh, that's cute. My man here. Five. Who's done you? What? Five. I don't do shit. I just make shit up. I have a glamour of this, glamour of that. Ton of stunts. Little bit of hood spa. Can we do an advancement at the end of the last campaign? No, and we'll save the advancement for when we begin the next campaign, which it'll be right after the fifth edition. Assuming we survived. Assuming we survived tonight. So, we'll keep them exactly the same as they were before. You each had five aspects. I have Edmond down as rich businessman in Blackboard Science, keeping his power a secret, the difference between trying and triumph is a little off. Me as a good servant, but a bad master, and I know I'm easy to talk to but shut up. Is that current or is it? Yeah, but the shut up part's going on. That's just not easy to talk to is what I have. Okay. Maybe I could be in the process of changing and keeping my power source a secret, because it just seems like everybody knows, and he's getting to the point where he don't care anymore. Okay. Ruppa, you have your atheogenic organic alchemists. Acquisition and use of schedule one substance, my Irish grandmother's silver Celtic ring, and no harm to humans. Yep. And a secret tie. London, a moral secret to the supernatural. Everything has a price, but I'm London. And justify the means, and information is power. Correct. And Roberto, I have guardian of Cleveland, who's been powered by a fallen angel. His point makes everything sound reasonable. Power opens doors, wisdom picks the right ones. Yes. Some of my aspects aren't going to be 100% correct, but I'm going to come up with some wants. But they're going to change anyway. No, my trouble is not everything is black and white, whereas it tended to treat it as such. Other aspects include politics only slow you down. And problems with authority. That's really an aspect. It's a no-shit aspect I should have had all along. And that's it. Maxwell, undercover, homeland security operative. I didn't think that through every life is worth saving. I walk where angels fear to tread, and we can work it out. Yeah. I like that last one. It's very beetles. It's straight up. All right. We're going to start the scenario. Tonight's scenario. So what is this in the timeline? This is, let's say, a month after the events occurred. Of rituals. In Maxwell Edison is working in his office. Detective agency where you are the lead detective and the manager. Also the janitor. Yeah, I feel like nine out of ten positions. So Maxwell is working at a detective agency and his cell phone rings. A cell phone? Yes, cell phone. Not your work phone is your cell phone. Is this a secret cell phone? No, this is a cell phone that we've got like three. That's my shoe phone. Edmund frowns the pad taking cell calls on. Night check phone. Night issue phone. Edmund isn't the boss anymore. Edmund just owns the detective agency. I'm the boss. He's the boss. Maxwell is the boss. But he owns you? It was the boss? Sorry, I've been somewhere. If he works far enough. And it is a call from one of your informants or operatives. You have him in your phone as Bruce. That's not his real name. This quote's Bruce. Well, obviously I answered the phone. Hey boss, you're paying me to keep an eye out for you. I am. I just wanted to inform you that we had the police showing up at one of the addresses you told me to kind of keep an eye on. I wish one. Did I just like the three? Yeah, Zelda's apartment. All right. I guess I'll send the team down next to the heads up. She got caught. What? She got arrested. Any details? Yeah, he informs you that the police scanner informed him that it was a I don't know the actual code for a break-in, but it was a 342. Niners. That was a pretty good at a residential house. All right. Thanks. I'll call to the place. I'll send the team down next to the heads up. It was me. Clearly. And the story's on. Yeah, it should be one night. You know, one shot. I could have a bird off. We got into the story. Lost. I've been. Jeez! He broke it. He broke it. He broke his bird off. Something broke into Zelda's apartment. Well, obviously the first person I call admin because probably in an office next to mine, right? Neutral boss. Well, I don't know. I mean, are you focusing on the restaurant? There was some point when you were trying to make it to the neutral ground, the neutral grounds that kind of fell through when you. Yeah, it's all over. Oh, it's trusted. I've been at the next full installation of the Dresden's. But yeah, you're not very new. This week on the Dresden's. It's not looking good, shall we say, after the entire... Is there a thorough investigation going on? Yes. But they'll definitely be addressed at that time. So you call your boss, Edmund? Edmund. Which is good because that's his name. We got a break in Zelda's apartment. I'm getting the crew together. I called you first because you're highest on my phone list. I'm the highest. And I gather the crew together, whoever's available, and not doing something emergency-wise. I think the warden's out of town. Yeah, if you went alphabetically, the first call you'd make is to the warden. The warden is answering service who tells you. I'm sorry, but Ellen Montgomery is out of town at this time. I wonder if he's getting specific files with his buddies, because he's weird as fuck. I get off the phone with him. The first thing I do is try to call Zelda at the scene. What's up? If I can get on you. She's at the bottom of the list. Of course I didn't call her. You should look at his detective. Huge. Not to tell me. Busy man. Zelda's cell roles device, man. Yes, there is no answer. Oh, that's suspicious. I leave her a message to call me as soon as possible. Her, your place has been broken into. I'm not sure you're okay. Whoa, whoa. I have to get Rachel to put a little thing in their second. You're answering me, Pete. You've reached the phone of Zelda. Please leave a message and let your love in. Then go fuck yourself. Or something like that. Something along the way. I immediately call up Edmund again and say, "Don't call her directly. I don't want her to know we have people watching her house. That would be creepy." And then I hang out. Whoops. And then I head over. Edmund's never been concerned about being creepy. So we know where you live. We knew where she lived already, couldn't we? I don't think it was ever a necessarily brought up. We figured. I don't know if she knew where she lived. We're a detective agency, we figured it out. All right, next I'll call up London. What time is it? Evening about 7.30. So, class wine, class music, pouring kidneys. London here? How could I help you? We had a break in and Zelda's apartment. I decided to call up the whole crew. Oh. Is Zelda all right? I don't know. Didn't call her yet. Still haven't called her. I'm going alphabetically now. She's a Z, damn it. Shut up. I am your second third call who's involved at this point. Second, I call that Edmund first. I called the ward and she's out of town. No worries. I never had the pleasure of visiting her. Probably pedestrian middle class abode. So, I don't class. If that. Do you happen to have an address that I can meet you at? Oh yeah, I opened my address book. It's on the east side, it's near. I think she has some taste. Coventry. My shaker heights domicile is not far from Coventry. So, I thank myself that I have since fired Roberto and don't have a driver anymore. And then I get in my... You thank yourself? Yeah, every time I don't have to deal with Roberto, I thank myself. And I just realized I don't have to deal with Roberto. I walked out to my vehicle. Right. At first, he stepped out and he said, "I wish I had a driver." And then he thought it was last driver. No, the driver would be London. No, I mean... Good call, London. Oh, I don't. Good job, me. So, I get behind the Mercedes and head over to, again, the decided the way I go. No, you had a pickup truck. I thought so. Budweiser or something. Yes. Which I... That looks like the pickup truck from Stanford. Curried sanitation wipes to make sure whenever I went into the vehicle. But my own vehicle, I'm very comfortable in it. So, I drive over to Coventry and meet the rest of the group. I remember you saying repeatedly that you got it. Jaguar. Jaguar. Jaguar. That is for where I did not have a glass of wine before driving. If I'm going to be driving with, under the influence, I... Several? Okay. What day is it? Why are you worried about this? I don't know. This is my Tuesday, right? Yes. And so, the Mercedes is definitely more dentable, if you will, than the Jaguar. Jaguar. What a dick. Dick London. I even hate playing him sometimes. I have to go to a good shower after I play London. Third call Zelda, because he realizes he should have called him first. I don't want to know I'm washing her house and I'm hoping I have men didn't do that already. So... You don't want to tip her off to the fact that she's sick. Under some feelings. You get the same thing. It rolls over to voicemail and says you reach Zelda. Please leave a message unless you're London, then go fuck yourself. It's something to do with one last time showing over to London's house and there was a girl tied up in the basement. I'm not really sure about the details. And we worked that out. Still kind of skeaved out, I let that happen because I'm the one who saved that girl. Anyway, Maxwell's bad at phones. He immediately hangs up and he realizes he doesn't know what to say when the voicemail happens. If you wanted to delete this thing. Hey, this is Maxwell. No. Are you dead? Oh, just immediately hang up. And then he calls up Repa, because he's next to the least. Damn the alphabet. Damn it. He's nice. Says Roberto. Hit his sleeve. Hey, what day is it? In the week? Thursday. What time is it in the night? 7.30 p.m. Repa, I don't know if you're sober, but there was an emergency in Zelda's house. Getting together, check out if it's all right. All right, man. Really? Should I go check it out? I'm going to text you the address. We would hang out at the restaurant. You might have been, are you part of the parent up? Yes, that was it. Because she's definitely part of the parent. Yes, I would. You might have to remember all of these in it. You might have some friends in it. I haven't talked to Rachel about her character yet, but I imagine her being the replacement for Ryan fucking Nelson. She's now like a leader of the parent who had to play them. Oh, what did you want? Well, I thought we were gonna tell you. Roberto. What? You pick up. Yes. What? You picked up. I'm watching. It was a commercial. We had a large end to work with his Martinez. Did I tell anyone ever to call him? Is that Martinez? Yes. Yeah. We had a break in the Zelda department. We're a little worried. I'm getting team together. We need a happy hit. Here's the wardens out of town. Not that I wouldn't have called you otherwise. Surprise. Surprise. Okay. We had the wardens out of town. He's not able to help. He's not able to do his job. He never does his job. You know what? I'll be there. Just because he's soulless. All right. We're pressed to anger. He's still wearing a bandit. Yeah. With his soul. With his soul. In it, yes. I wonder how that happened. The police are there. I'm in sight when you arrive. And when I say you, I mean, of course, London, because he's actually the closest. If I remember correctly Roberta was a west sider as well as Repa. I'm downtown. So she was on a west side. No, I'm making her in Coventry because I want to. I do have contacts before. So it's not a known that I would have some contacts in the police with the amount of finder of objects and missing things that I am. But there was a particular police officer that you guys were involved with. RastadVenture. And I cannot recall his name. Somebody that Mr. Allen Montgomery was involved with. And you guys were called in on the rituals merged because of him. Don't recall the detective's name. We apologize to the fans who will find it before we start the next adventure. Because he'll probably be involved again. Along with, I think, there was a father Francis Beylock. Okay. All right. Well, I approached the detective who, again, I feel as if I'm on somewhat good terms. Well, we solved the murders. So we should have, and he did appreciate the help. And he didn't like how we intimidated his witness. There was a-- But that would be Roberto. Incident in the room where they were parked. Or the warden fried the cameras. Yeah, fuck. So he's in the room and outside. It's a small apartment shoe that's on the second floor of the apartment. And there are two patrol men outside. And they override a blocking the way. And the detective's inside the apartment. I'm going to recognize his vehicle. This is how I know that he's the one that's there. Someone who disliked Zelda for reasons that had nothing to do with her personality. More or less. I mean, there was something out that there was another conflict going on within London as far as disliking Zelda during the last story. He certainly is concerned that she's missing. She was part of her weeks of an investigation that we did together. So I will do my best to get to the detective as quickly as possible. Because perhaps my divination skills can help in finding her. And I think time is of an essence if she's missing. And there's been a break in. When you pull up to the outside, you see two police cars and what appears to be a detective car. And it looks like a nondescript car is not really marked. But the license plate tells you that it's a city, a fishwheel of some sort. So it doesn't appear to be any ambulance. There doesn't appear to be. Yes, but I guess the bigger question would be is Zelda's mid-sized cheap-ass import compact somewhere around that I can see? Or is it missing as well as her? No, I don't think she can afford a Honda Civic. It is not in the view of the front of the apartment building. Okay. That doesn't really mean anything necessarily because the parking space is available or much less than the apartments are. So does she park in a side-lot or street away or whatever the case may be? Maybe? You just don't see her car. I opened up the center console on the Mercedes and there are individually hand-wrapped cigars, a bottle of wine, some chocolates, some various options to take for... Emergency schmoozing. Exactly. So if I remember this detective correctly, he was partial, although it's illegal, to Cuban cigars. So I pick up two Cuban cigars, slip that into my lapel, and stride confidently towards the building in my rendezvous with the detective. Oh, okay. You walk up the stairs to the south of the department. It's no problem getting in the front door because it seems to be broken as well. Normally you would have something that would buzz you in, but it's a little bit crooked on the hinges there. As I'm going up the stairway, I pull out my iPhone 6S, group text, repa, edmund, and Maxwell, along with the- Your intention of the neighborhood, huh? Oh, absolutely. Well, first of all, I think he didn't have some kind of flip phone. It didn't even have texting ability. It doesn't take group text. It just shows up as a picture that he has to open. As far as repa, edmund, and Maxwell, and the answering service for the warden, all this text, door, displaced off hinges, looks forcefully displaced, could be trouble, as I'm walking up the stairs. Keep everyone informed with what's going on. Okay, so the others, probably coming from downtown would be Maxwell and edmund. Yeah, we'll probably bread together. Take the company on them. You're pretty close to the highway there, you should be able to get- Well, you wouldn't really go down the highway. Well, you would. It's in that unprofitable- Yes, it's in the fabulous areas. You want to get out maybe Martin Luther King and shoot up and then shoot over. Or shoot straight down. Car and edmund. You experienced some of us. There's no way to get in the highway going east. So it takes a couple of your limo, but I'll let you drive. Because I'm a great- Oh, Carnegie. You almost just had to live in the east. Now, Rappa, you have an option. One is to take the most mundane way of getting there, which is to drive the vehicle. I thought you'd say take the bus. Yeah, I don't think so. You also have a special ability to walk in another dimension and then back in. Yeah, I want to see what happened, not what- I already happened. What? Oh man, he isn't half. If you'd share someone what you're smoking, that would make perfect sense. If you knew what I felt- So what is it you wish to attempt? Do you wish to go there in a mundane way, in a car? Oh, maybe eventually. It is definitely safe this way. I'll take option B there and try to do some traveling. Asterily, yes. Do you wish to travel distance, time, or both? Both. Okay. That's harder. It is very much so harder. Well, in that case, I'm going to use a short duration ex solvent that helps me do this so that I'm not totally fucked up for a long time. And I'm going to drive there first and then take this fast acting short duration- This is the only answer to this time. Assisted to make my trip. I'm going to get right in front of the cops and do my job. Yeah, I'm going to get right within here. So that eliminates the distance that this is what I'm saying. And then I'm going to try to make a trip. I'm going to go there and then it'll take the time. Gotcha. I mean, come to the apartment or do you just need to be in the parking lot? Time travel is definitely frowned upon by the ward. Yeah, but that's actually not a good show. Okay. You might just be pursuing it. Yeah. Roberto, high-fives, wrap up. Just so you know, I mean, that is like one of the, like, they get really pissy and kill people over his time travel. I had forgotten that, but I hadn't forgotten that. I don't give a shit. Okay, that's valid. Um, is he actually traveling through time or just perceptually seeing what happened as well? Yeah, that was my perfect. Yeah. It's lots of great art. That's what you should say when they try to do it. Absolutely. Uh, Roberto, you never really told me where you live. I was under the impression that it might be- We talked about a gee- Gee's 50-50 square neighborhood, which is pretty shitty, but also pretty close. Well, he's closer than these other guys. So you may arrive there second if that's where you live. My car's actually broken right now, so I have to walk. I know, dude, Uber. You gonna fucking pay the bill? I mean, it's like a 10-minute drive. It's probably like 10 bucks. I think the private response is what the fuck's it? Right. That, yes. Does Roberto have a bike? Or does he just, like, he's walking because, you know, he's walking. Sister has a bike. He's using his sister's bike. It drives to go? And it's a little pink thing with- That wheel is a ring. That's got it. All of his is a sister. It's got a fell on a basket. It's a bit younger than he is, but the thing is she's in a wheelchair. So it's a really old bike. And it makes her grow cry a little bit. 'Cause you know, she's just okay to rush. This is why wealing that was me crying. A little pink bike that everyone watching is like- Through, like, that person's life. A fleevo. I have a big bike. The streamer's going in the handlebars. It's a little basket. Carrying a sledgehammer. Yes. That's where the basket- Where do you put this? Yeah, this is the basket on the front of the bike. And as your bike goes along, you have to cut through a wooded area with a gnoll, and you're going squeaky- squeak with the bike. Can you imagine the firefly reference? Somebody pops out the muggy and they're like- Fuck it's a burnout! I just run there. We're gonna get back here! Roberto takes two more hours because he chases down a rapist to the muggy. We will say that Roberto gets their second Maxwell. Admin get their third rep, it gets their fourth, but we'll deal with London because he is walked up to the top floor and is standing outside the door where the two officers are, and there seems to be someone in the room, which would lead to be the detective. Right. I mentioned the officers that I am a friend of the individual whose home has been broken into, and I'm also an acquaintance of your detective, and would be possible just to have a minute of his time, and believe my people to help him in his investigation. He clears a stroke, the detective trends around looks, and tells the officers it's okay. Gives a nod to you, and then kind of weighs you in, and- All right. I step confidently into the room, walk up to him, hand him the two Cubans. I remember that you enjoyed this. As you may recall, this is someone who helped us in our last investigation that we worked on with you. Or is that too formal to say we worked with you? We attempted to assist in your investigation. Try to give him full credit for what- I just got here. Who lives here? This is Zelda. Who's Zelda? Yeah. Zelda lives here, and we were- Obviously, I'm just concerned because it seems like there was forceful entry. If you can refrain from touching anything, feel free to look around a bit. What I'm seeing so far in my initial examination is a break and enter, but no signs of violence or a struggle. I don't see any sign of her being here at the time of the break. So her bed is made, is her purse here? Now, it's a good sign of whether or not someone's standing somewhere as if their bed's made. Now if her bed's made, then she- Her bed is not made, however I- We're also not saying her- Okay, so her purse is gone. The chances are the assailant is not going to worry about whether or not she has her purse. So it's interesting. Again, not touching anything. Try to make a quick case of the place. To see things that I would know that if I was out with a lovely airport for the evening, she would have with her lipstick, you know. It's evident that someone was looking for something for- Things are from all over the place, like cushions are out of the couch. Okay, so the place has been absolutely tossed. It has been tossed, but there doesn't appear. He's saying, according to him, I'm not seeing any signs of blood. Uh, it just looks like someone was looking for something or tearing through your stuff. Oh. I agree. And we will say that, uh, London spends a bit of time looking- Sure, we're going to make a roll and then people will start showing up. Okay. You can make a roll in the meantime if you're looking for something specific, or you can just make a general one and I'll let you know. The thing I'm looking for specifically is anything DNA-wise, it can think back, you know, a hair and a hairbrush. Well, you see there's no blood. But certainly if she- If there's a coffee cup that's been drank out of, it's going to have her lipstick and her saliva on it. Anything that I can stereotypiously- And there's a necessary roll for that. Those things all exist. It's your choice on which one you want to take. If you look in the bathroom, she's got a hairbrush and there's money. And there's no one in the bathroom at the time. Not at this time, no. The detective's in the bedroom and he's looking over things there. Being very concerned about keeping the validity of the crime scene, I'm sure I have a pair of gloves. I'm not saying that the other people that show up are not- Okay, sure, let's give them a look at gloves for those who aren't, but you have them in rituals they were having an outside event. So at this point, we'll say it's fall, so... I just don't think money would come to a potential crime scene without gloves. But if you want me to spend a- If you want me to spend a point- No, no, no. As October-ish, I don't have a problem. So, do you know you were coming to a crime scene? And the hair that I'm looking for is one that preferably has a follicle. It'll be a little more rich in DNA in a lull for my investigation to track her down if I need to. I'd say Roberto's probably next to show up. Sure, but he sees the cops when he's on it. And then around outside for a minute, until he notices Maxwell's car- Maxwell and Edvin are next to him. Regarding a limo. You're showing up seeing the cop cars in the broken front door, but no cops in the parking lot are at the main door to the- Correct, she lives on the second floor. It appears to be at least one set of officers here. And again, you guys are detected. You pick up the fact that the other that seems to be a detective are in the fact that it's got city plates, but it's not marked. Unfortunately, part of me is getting a little fight. You guys end up maybe club is right away from him. Put my bike in three spots. What did you do? Did you just take the wheels on him? We're in a panel van. Okay. I heard him. Yeah, he said a limo, but I'm driving. It's a limo van, man. When you have to show up at the door, the police are not really trying to let you in, and the detective hears you guys talking to them, and comes over and says, "I know, I know what I mean." There. I'm the private detective. He hides Roberto a little bit. They know not to mess with the crime scene. You were in love with the interrogation, if I remember. Yes, I was. So was the warden. I brought gloves and tweezers. I didn't bring any gloves because it got people to do that for me. Yeah, the CSI, the sun is an actual job, but our dude will be buying a bit. He looks questionable, so when is it more questionable? Oh, wrap up, yeah. Yeah, so if another guy comes up, just call us down. Yeah, my door. Call Edmund out. Okay. The front door broken into or out of is to make sure. I'm assuming it's broken into, but I want to make sure that it's correct. You'd like to make an investigation? I'm leaving most of the investigation up to- Max law. Max law. But I can all assist him, or I can make a separate role just to see if I can look at some of the details. Difficulty of giving him a +2 setting up, it says holding a flashlight so it gets to certain areas. Or- This is good. Or three headaches, sir. I think it's baseline to- One plus three minus. One plus three minus. Ooh, so basically he's getting injured. Edmund was partaking. Edmund's getting in your way. I started at good, then I woke minus three. Oh, she used to be good at this. You need to get back in the field more often or- Nah, I got people to- Get out of my way, you know, 50/50. Do I actually get a minus? Yeah, of course I do. All right. My investigation is great, so I have a natural plus four. I roll a plus one. And then I have a stunt that gives me another plus one and takes it down. One's up on the timescale, if that ever matters. But I don't think that's- In this particular case- That's fantastic. So you're up to fantastic. Him getting in your way, bumps you down a little bit. And you do notice, as Edmund suggested, it was broken into the building. But you noticed that it was done with tools. Specifically, something was jammed in near the lock and it slammed to pry it open. And you could see where it popped the lock over here and it scratched and it looks like kind of crowbar-ish type of thing. It wasn't that done with- Yeah, it was definitely tool-assisted. It was funny, it's not brute force. So this wasn't a random robbery. Who called the police? Who are you asking? I'm asking the detective. So you're working your way upstairs? Yes. Do you want me to check on the driver? I don't know what you're asking for, Robert. You go upstairs, you start talking to the detective. London's in another room doing his thing. The detective tells you that they got a call from the lady next door here. She's an elderly lady and she called in some kind of disturbance. It sounded like banging and she thought she heard breaking glass in different things where maybe it was an argument or a fight, but she wasn't sure. Or even him doesn't appear to be that. No. It looks more like it was ransacked. And you do see broken glass where a few things were thrown on the ground. All right, I'm going to try to figure out what they were looking for. I think I know what they were looking for. Maxwell might not remember. Okay, I did a month, you'll remember. Yeah, it's valid. But he'll offer that conclusion to the rest of the group to argue about after he tries to figure out. Because it could be just people looking for money. Could be into a neighborhood. I would say it's a plus five superb to actually determine motive from a room. While Maxwell is doing this rep, it does show up. Meet Roberto at the front door. This is our guy. Is the cops living there? Actually, I don't. This doesn't even go in. Okay, so you pull up to the building. You see Roberto standing outside by the front door. The front door leads to a set of stairs that had up her apartment on the second floor. Okay. The cops are outside her apartment door, not apartment building. Okay. I ask for an update because I want all the information I can get before I go on my trip. And I explain to Roberto what I'm doing. Why don't you join me? Because that went out so well last time. You're inviting me. I don't, look, I don't have a sword this time. Yeah, but whatever the case, Maxwell just walked through here. He said somebody broke through the store with like some kind of bar. It was planned. They came here. It wasn't like. Do you know if there's a back entrance? There's a firescape. There's definitely a firescape on the outside of the building. One on each side, main hallway goes through the middle of the building, and then there's apartment building on the other side. Each side of the apartment building has its own firescape. You haven't been here often enough to know if there's a back entrance, but you can certainly check. You can pretty sure you can walk on the front door and then go down the hallway and come up the back way and find a way around the cops. Or you can walk around the building either way. Well, I'd originally thought I wanted to sit and wait to see, you know, kind of let time go by quickly and see if I see any suspicious characters, but I've got too much ground to cover. So what I might end up doing is going up there last night and hanging out until I see something. I'm not sure how the time travel thing works if I can just like let time slip by quickly until something happens or what. But of course I want to get to the cusp moment. I want to be waiting around for eight hours. Well, if you're going on a trip, I want to go with you. I think as safe as might be to do this in a car. I don't know if Roberta wants to just like make sure nobody disturbs me as I'm sleeping in the car. But like I said, if you want to someone to go along with you, I'm more than welcome to. I think the stuff's fun. They're upstairs. Edmond's up to work. I know that, but I know he showed up. I mean, I think we're kind of communicating a little bit. Texting back and forth and such. Oh, you could be doable. What is text? Yes, exactly. All right, come on down. So I'm, yeah, and I know these guys got it handled in here and I'm just in the way. So I'm going downstairs. So you enter into his car as well, which begins to fill up with some form of small stuff. The way on earth that is going to help trigger this event. Nobody's a vampire, right? What? I don't know if you want to get them eyes. That's all I'm saying. Knowing what Rep is doing, I don't know that it's going to lead us to Zelda. And that is, I think, is a group. Our number one concern is where is she at? Sure. So I'm probably going to dismiss myself from the scene. Drive back to my brownstone in Shaker and use one of the pentagrams or circles to do a ritual divination to find out where she's at. Now this divination normally requires you to use your father's stopwatch. Correct. Is it a stopwatch? You have like a bucket of pocket. I find peace. Okay, let's try to get a watch. Jim, your pocket. What would be cool? Like, yeah, it's so kind of a shame, like a bullet and it goes. So, I mean, that's in the future. I mean, obviously, that's more. That's fine. We're going to have you leaving the building. We could have, I've been leaving the building as well. And Roberto's going to carve the car while they go far away. We'll leave a Maxwell in it. Keep an eye on the cops. Well, you don't want Maxwell to finish his role. You were doing a role on detecting? What was the motive of people that were ransacking? What were they? Whether they were looking for something specific, or describing the valuables, which at the very least, that's what I want to know. All right. Investigation. Nothing but a minus one. My natural investigation skill is five. I spend a fake point to increase it by two, because then I want to change it into the re-roll. I guess I'll just use buying concepts. More insecurity after it. Mm-hmm. For a total of six. Fantastic. Which is the goal it set for you. Yes. It is apparent that they were looking for not only things of value, but for potentially something like a hidden safe. They were tossing and looking behind walls, and behind bookcases, and false bottoms and drawers. Right. I mean, it was definitely not just valuables, but something a little more specific. They're looking for something hidden, not for something that's-- Right, just not to say a value, but something that was hidden. They knew she wouldn't be here, because any of that had time to search. I'm talking to the detective because-- All right, you're fantastic. Normally, I'd just be talking out loud, but I have a detective here to talk to. Well, actually, what's to hear what you're saying? They knew she wasn't going to be here, and they knew they had time to search. They were looking for not just valuables with-- Something specific, and something potentially from the areas that they were looking in, and the areas that they were searching. Relatively small. Yeah, I know what it is. I don't know why they know it's here. And I don't know where she keeps it, but that's not what I'm saying, the detective. They're looking for something in particular, valuable, relatively small, maybe jewels, but a hidden safe somewhere that she would keep it, and they knew she wasn't going to be here. They probably knew her personally, and possibly her schedule tonight. Or I don't know, maybe they abducted her. He's looking at you, and just she says, "Now you do that." I just looked-- No, we just need the detective. He would hope you don't leave some idea. I would-- But-- Oh, that's-- I just-- I didn't hear the same amount of time. Ten minutes. Yeah. Well, you're a player character. Yeah, yeah, there's paypoints. But-- You definitely gleaned a lot more information and the same amount of time that he was here. I think that's sure I call him. Well, I noticed-- And when you start pointing things out, he's like, "Man, you're right. That does make sense." If Zelda had a friend that would-- The trick is-- The trick is-- I mean, originally-- Sure. That's how we met. Yeah. If we could say that we got together, maybe once every other week, the restaurant was the name of the higher grounds. Yeah. So maybe we did that anywhere from two weeks to one day ago, and just what is the latest information that she told me, you know, what's going on in her life? [INTERPOSING VOICES] Again, I haven't talked to Rachel about her, the plans for her particular character. But I've seen a reason why she would argue with this. She was telling you that she is currently considered the head of all of the Paranette and Cleveland, fulfilling the same role that Ryan Nelson did before he turned dick. He was always dying. [INTERPOSING VOICES] Yeah, before he went full evil. And that the warden was kind of back in her in that. And they were talking about potentially doing-- not exactly a certification to prison her as that, but potentially-- Make it official. Yes, OK. And that was-- That was the last time you met. So that might well fall into where she is right now, as far as you know. Do I happen to know where she-- Actually, she knew this. Or she kept me fourth now. You did question her? Do I even know that she has it? Yeah, she was definitely the one who had it last. And you did question her a few times, just in passing. And her answer was always, somewhere safe. And I hope she's right. OK. That's all about that information. Maxwell does not have that information, unfortunately. So I find a place to park that's not like right in front of the building and it's going to look weird, every day. Right, every day, every day, every day. [LAUGHING] Go around back. Oh, I'll possess. Robert is like, I don't pay attention. They're just sleeping together in a car. So yeah, you pull around back. And in the meantime, London comes out, gets in his car, drives away. And not without-- Talk to-- Yeah, to everyone. I mean, if I have someone to talk to, I will talk to them. Like if I see-- Well, you're in the same room, as well. Right, I'll say-- I think it's imperative for me to confirm that she's all right. So I'm going to go back to the brownstone and do a ritual to track her whereabouts. As soon as I have a good direction to lead us in, I will get back in contact with you. All right, if it fails completely, she might be out of the area because of the water. Right. You know that. Sure, probably know that about 10 times better than Maxwell does. That's fine. I mean, no. So London walks downstairs after talking to Maxwell and you get in the street level and start heading towards your car when you notice across the street, these three are all talking. And Roberto is getting in the backseat and it seems like they're getting ready to pull away and drive somewhere. You're not exactly sure where you guys stand. Which is where I just sent a text because I'm not going to go bang on the car and see what they're up to. Yeah, you guys notice him. And he's walking towards his car. Roberto flips off London from my way of street. Yeah, you guys have the option to roll up in the window and talk to him, or he can-- Right, but he's-- Yeah, I'm texting them as I'm walking past, but I'm not inversed if they're trying to make contact. I mean, besides Roberto's hello, I'm looking at the other two just to see as I'm texting them if they need me to stop. I would say at this point, I'm guessing that he's going to go do his thing. So I'm just like, yeah, you know what he does. If I'm leaving, yeah, there's something that's coming up. Either that or he's just bored of the entire thing. Don't call me. No, so he sends you a text and says, heading to check. Whereabouts is all about? Now, you know what you know. I don't know if you share it with him. Yeah, I was going to say-- I sent him a text saying, we're checking our way. Or Rock is way. Make it kind of cryptic, just so we know what I'm talking about. Right, but no one else if they were-- Because anyone think that we're not looking for the fourth N. Right. I write back and say it seems to be the most logical. Favorite piece of jewelry or whatever. Right. I will send it to the group. Everybody should be thinking about who might know where it is and why they'd go searching in her apartment. And you might even know that she has it. It just is a quick aside. And I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with the session at all. But there are a ton of encrypting text apps out there. I'm pretty sure we can all afford-- well, again, I don't care about Roberto. But the people that have phones that can actually communicate with each other via text, I'm pretty sure we can all afford $3.99 or $5.99 for the best app out there to encrypt our communications so that it ever is intercepted. You, obviously, same with Edmund, and he provides for Maxwell. Yeah, I don't mean to provide for Maxwell. I certainly have a reason to rep a-- Oh, yeah, he has all the reasons to want to encrypt. What's the other thing to go on the dark web when-- On your tour? Tour. You get a tour on your phone. Not that I know you're in the middle there. Right, of course, I do. Is there a photo on the text group? Depends on who made it. If one had made it, absolutely not. All right, then Maxwell is forwarding all salient information down the pipeline. The basic information. Now, encoded in some way because he doesn't-- his phone doesn't have the ability to-- I've got a little 4s with a crack screen you can have. You can't afford the data plan. You have to be running around. We're going to get a pretty Wi-Fi. I had to choose between a car and a phone. And his car is broke. So you got to hit that fair. It was a bike and a phone. So you guys drive around to the back of the house. London heads off to his thing. What is Maxwell doing? Maxwell is going to conduct an interview with the old lady next door to try to figure out if it was all there was here. If you don't want to make up a character name back door, right now, we could just make the role and then we'll be back around information. That was Anna Bartlett. Rafa drives around to the back. You're with Edmund in the car. Roberto, are you getting out of the car? Because I don't know that there's smoke. Rafa's telling you that he's pretty sure the entire inside of the car is going to travel with him, but he's not 100% sure. It depends on how much he wants to control it. You've got to take Edmund along with you. I took enough for three because I didn't really want to take any more. Is this smoked? Yes, stepping on the car. OK. It's Anna Bartlett. And you go next door and knock on the door. And she kind of opens the chain tank a little bit and peeks out. She's an elderly woman. Ask what? Do you watch? Type of question. I'm helping conduct an investigation next door. I was wondering if you could offer any more details about the crime. She actually closes the door. And then she has to unchain it and then open it back up. And she closes it to open it. You say, "Betch." Thank you, afterwards. Check the door right in. We're going to go drop her really quick and ask you to make a role to travel. First of all, tell me where you're attempting to travel and how. The difficulty is going to be set by how you didn't do this. If you truly want to travel back in time so that you can perform physical actions, that's going to be much more difficult than to just travel astroly and visit you at that time. No, I don't want to be able to affect it. I don't want to physically attack. I just want to view us. Right. So that's true. Travel is fine. Easier. And also, more in the gray area of whether the ward would be upset if you knew about this. Because if you can't affect it, then you can't cause any damage or harm to the therefore. I remember arguing that point multiple times last time. OK. Yourself, the distance you're traveling time-wise, all have to do with the difficulty. I would say, at the very least, it would require a baseline superb effort. You're trying to bring one additional person along, and you're going for a short period of time of a day. I'm not even going to bump up to it, which is going to say it's maybe a fantastic effort. Well, it's not really a day. At what time of day is it then? Well, that's up to you. I'm assuming this is happening during dark hours. The current time is probably about 8.30. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, fuck an aim, man. I was going to say I was going to send Max a text message asking him about what time did-- You can do it. --what's this reported? So we're back to Anna Bartlett, who is telling you that she called the police roughly-- well, let's first give a little role here to tell how well you are talking to this lady getting information from her. Yeah, lovely cats. All 20 of them. Shores that cooler. I have rapport. She will leave in on hers. Or we have rapport, which is making good first impressions and making people like you in general. An opener. And empathy, which is figuring out things from people who are kind of deceiving you. I think for more rapport. Understanding people. More rapport. All right, rapport is fair. I'm not great at it, but I'm pretty good at it. But I'm not good. Holy shit. Just a skill system. Wow, look at that. So the average, which still means our old positive two when she rolled a zero. She rolled a zero and her defense, as it was, is actually a minus one, because she is a lonely old woman and just wants to talk. Takes a lot of shit to relax it, brings up the t-set. You are stuck there. Actually, two sugars, little hunter. That was my throat in the fall. So she informed you that she started hearing the noises. She remembered the end of 1974. I started hearing her. She was watching Matlock. Hey, don't knock it. Never watched it. Classic. And that starts at six. That was when she first heard the noises next door. And it sounded like someone was tearing holes in the wall. Yeah, she was concerned. She didn't think it was violent. She didn't hear any screams or anything, but she was a lot of stumps and ribs and bangs and all kind of-- And then they were going to catch around or something. Yeah, that was a fun situation. It's just Zelda's a very quiet young lady. She's a wonderful neighbor. She makes mean cookies, too, by the way. She's a very nice young lady. But she informed you that it was slightly after six, which you didn't then pass. A really quick pass that on. And then I try to steer her in the direction of, was Zelda there? Ask her why we're just hearing about this now. No, it was the same. What? It was-- Yeah, that's why I was confused, because when you talked about going into, like, to go into time, you were mentioning the night before, and I'm like, dude, why don't you sit there for a while? You're only skipping, like, three hours. I withdraw my aggravation. Yes, so. It's just time to-- I do that all the time. My intention? You don't want to hit us. Skip it forward. We're going to talk backward. It might even be three hours from now right now. So in adjusting for that, you think maybe a five on their own, get to where you want to go? OK. I'm actually not going to take any minus for additional passengers. I'm just going to assume that he has the ability to tag along. You think so? Not any ability, I'm just saying. I'm doing what I need to do to get me there. Hoping it works out for the other people. Yeah, it rules enough. I don't want to not get there. Guys, the bottom line is, rough at 16-- I don't guess that's going to be a problem. East End. I make it drag by-- I make it drag go on. Oh, that way, I got it. So make it my accident. So this is for World Walker. So investigation to know what I'm doing and then more and then survive it to get back or something. Can you get a plus two on the investigation if we still do that role? Given how much pertinent information I found? And forward, it's pretty good. Yeah, let's treat Maxwell's information as a maneuver to help you, which is plus two. Awesome. Timely information. OK, we're only going to require you two roles. I would like to do an investigation to have him find-- Suss out the correct gate and drug that he's going to need to open this. And we're going to say it's really pretty simplistic. We're staying in this universe. You want to go slight shift to the left so that you can get into the ether and then roll time back a bit. And then at least-- I'm great-- to get the gate tuned. And then we're going to do Lord to do the actual opening of that so you can step in and go. OK, so I've got plus two on the investigation role. My Lord is now plus four. OK. An additional plus one because of a stunt or plus two for sole related. I'm not sure where. If all your investigation role is unlisted, it's probably just plus zero. Total of minus one. And they're all plus. So the more-- if this is not sole related-- I'm not so sure about that because if I want my sole just to see what this intruder's sole is doing in the astral plane, that would be an additional plus two. So that's plus six. So I'm up to plus five, which is superb. It's one higher than you need to be able to do this. OK, to actually open a portal, there is no role. However, his power is pretty fucking different. So he wanted to make a make a role, like he said. I think I'm always just my lighter work, right? It's hard. We're going to typically go with a difficulty set based on what you're trying to do. Go with one role of lore in which you need at least superb. Take yourself further. OK. Suburb is five. You roll the minus one on the dice. Your lore and your spirit that gets at the final, correct? Yes, it's a total plus six. So yes, it's fine. Edmund, you're in a car, which is filled with all kind of fun drugs. You see Repa going through kind of a ritual thing, and you can see his spirit just kind of leaving his body and stepping through a gateway. Can I make a role to follow or can you? You can, however-- I have no lore. Right. And this would require Epic for you to follow. Because it's more difficult than it is for him. I'm going to give you a plus two because of the drug-filled car you're in. In addition to seeing him do it, it's like, OK, so this should be easy, right? Hand in the pipe. Right. Try to follow. So you do get a plus two. So I firstly need-- since I don't have the skill I need like a four to believe how we'll be doing this. Right. You do have any points? You do have things-- yes, I think you can spend that. Oh, the difference between try and own fizzle at home. So-- OK, you're probably allowed to do this. Give it a little deeper. It's getting a little deeper. Is there any way I can assist a bit of this using lore or empathy or some combination of-- Give him tips and pointers from how to-- I can do that for a plus. In hand, just a plus two. Well, you can spend-- first, make the role and then decide what you need to do it. Like, for instance, if you're old, it might be a minus descent. But before you do that, wrap up steps out through the door and you attempt to kind of rip the portal wider to help you go through. Setting up a maneuver in order to help if it's plus two. That's for a normal maneuver. This is pretty abnormal. So we're actually going to double it for him. Yeah, for him. But you're trying to set it up for him. So we want to get a plus four from you as a maneuver to do this. And you can use your lore and make a role. So you spend a turn trying to show him, look, see, it's OK. I'm opening it even wider. It should be really simple for you. So a lore role that achieves a four higher. This is still so related. Or, no, in this case, maybe not in this case. Well, it's soul-related. I guess it is. Yeah. So it's still plus six. So you need to avoid a catastrophic role. Your total is plus four. Yeah. And you might roll the even when you're done. OK, but all you're giving him is plus two. You're showing him the way. You're doing as best as you can. Walk this way. Currently, you have plus two. Then you add your lore into it, which I believe you said is zero. I have no lore. Yeah, so that would be zero. And then we let you launch to watch. So you're only right now at a fair. Nowhere near plus enough. So you could spend on a faith point and say the difference between-- Yeah. OK, but would you allow it two more? I'm not going to take you back. Or the other option is to roll the dice again and hope for-- A better role. A role again. And then if not, I don't think it's going to be bad. OK. That's plus one. So he spends a faith die. The re-rolls this role, gets a bit plus one, gets the plus two. He's at plus three right now. And he's still, that's really far away. Away's the one. And if Repa spends a faith point, the most you can give him is two more. He's still like him because it's just too new. Enjoy the ride. I'll see you in a while. It's a fun high regardless. I'll watch the door. Edmund just sees Repa kind of just collapse back into the seat as your spirit leaves fully your body. And you slip through, and the ghost image of him disappears as it seems to stretch and shrink, and then gone. You nailed it. I mean, you go back in time. You go a little bit past, so you're like 545. But you're still in the same car that you are in the back of the building just three hours earlier. But what do you do? Well, I'm going to head right up to the hallway there, right outside the room. Wait to see what I can see. So how do you, I mean, you walk around the building, go in the front door, then you shoot back. I don't know if I want to be that physical. I just kind of walk through walls. OK. I find a stairway so I know where I'm going. You levitate through the building. You find roughly the same place that our apartment is. You wait around for 15, 20 minutes. You hear noises downstairs, this lug cracking noise that appears to be the door being open. Fortunately, the main door downstairs. Yes. OK. You hear steps coming up the stairs. You see two individuals who come to right to her door as they-- I know the correct subjective time. Right. And it is roughly six o'clock, right, when you were told by the neighbor. Her door is forced open using the same tool, and they go inside and start ripping things apart, tossing the place, looking for something. She is obviously not there. One of the guys seems to be questioning the other. He makes finger emotions, showing something, roughly, you pencil-sized, and makes action. So it's evident that they are looking for the nail, because that is roughly the size it was. You try to memorize their faces as much as possible. Sometimes bringing information back is difficult. They actually spend a decent amount of time. You don't hear the police cars coming yet before they finally, apparently, give off without finding anything, and then start heading down the stairs towards the front again. OK. I'm going to follow them and see if there's a car around the corner or what their deal is. And in fact, what do you do? A white number. You do get the license white car. I assume you go back to the car, fall back in your body, and then come back. I try to make the actual time short. I'm only gone for short about time. I don't want to stress things out and not make it back. But if I could do that, fine. It's actually much easier to go back to your body than forward, just the lower roll versus, let's say, good. Good effort to return to your body. That's a plus three. Plus one on the roll, so that's seven. So yeah, it was epic. OK. Now, problem. You see Edman still standing, and he keeps leaning forward, rocking a little bit, kind of, like, poppes. So does this work? Roberto sitting outside the car on the trunk. Maxwell is talking to Lady Anna Bartlett. She doesn't really give you any additional useful information. She's a very nice, elderly lady who is very bored. You spend about as much time as you can tolerate before leaving the area and meeting these gentlemen downstairs. London is off of this house doing the ritual. You go ahead and wrap it. You meet up with everybody else. As soon as the cop webs are out of my head, I text Maxwell. Ohio plate, I'll keep art 456. Well, all right. I was just walking into the room where they're investigating. Still, they saw a plate. Got a plate now? Yeah, here you go. Read it off of my phone, which is where I keep my case notes. Would you want to say it with somebody that you couldn't go actually talk to in the future? That would be logical. Like a vagrant? I would respect about how I'm not logical. Never mind. Then he's a big boy. He's a big boy. He's a big boy. Here's a fake boy. What? He, Scott said, don't you want to say it was like a vagrant that he can't go talk to later and see if I'm lying? And he's like, hang on. Well, because he goes to ask the lady later on, she'll be like, what? What? We are the fortune? Maxwell has the trouble aspect all about it. Everyone loves that. Of course they do. And then they watch Alex Trebek in Jeopardy right afterwards. It's a thing. That shows. I'm going to watch my shows. OK. You want him to get the license button address, or are you going to do it through your sources, or? Oh, it's found. Maxwell's going to think about it for a bit. There's a fake point back. With the texts that are probably flying right now, it seems as if Zelda is not in imminent danger. Oh, yeah. I was just going to say that one of my next texts would be Zelda did not appear to be home. But that doesn't mean that she wasn't-- I don't know. In London's mind, it doesn't mean that she wasn't abducted. And then they went to her place looking for it. I don't know if I have enough just to say I don't want to divinate. I would say that I throw it out there. But the only person that I truly respect-- I mean, Maxwell, I like. And borderline respect. He's getting more respect as time goes on. They just could have his job. But the warden is somebody that I would probably could call me off at this point. I don't know if I would be called off or not. If Maxwell-- wait, no, he doesn't have this bill in blocks I'm using, never mind. I would say she's obviously-- she obviously wasn't there when this happened. But she still may be in danger. This is what I would say in the text. Ruppa, it's annoying. This is completely out of character. Didn't Ruppa hear that she might be with the warden doing some ceremony to induct her to be the leader? I was going to ask if I knew her schedules or regular meeting night for her. I'm pairing it in the first place. And did I know when the ceremony was? Was it a text sent or a message? Or hey, congratulations on what's going on tonight. Something like that where basically, I can have an a-humble. Oh, yeah, that's right, baby. Because, I mean, I could do some pretty cool scrying shit. If it lends to the story, but I don't want to waste the time to do it. Do you know that she leads a chapter of the parentate locally on the east side? And they tend to meet Saturday nights every first Saturday of the month. And then, what is it, the first Saturday of the month, right? It's Thursday, OK. And then on another Saturday, at least once a month, she visits another chapter around the city. But those are weekend things. It's not too introverted with most people's stages. OK, would you like me to do-- with divinate then? Yeah, I'm not going to make you make a role because it's not relevant to the story. Right. Then it doesn't add anything interesting to it. Good. I wasn't going to divinate. I was actually going to scry. I'm actually trying to see through her eyes to make sure she's all right. She's in a place of power. That's the thing you can do. What you get is you do see the warden. You do see all the powerful wizards. I know she said that she's somewhere safe, and it seems more of a festive occasion rather than dark. In that case, I curse her name under my breath and go back to exactly wasting the evening of my life. Go back to listening to my music drinking my wine and cutting my kidneys. You don't text us, let's just say. I absolutely let everyone else know. Well, with the exception of Roberto, that she's fine. I was able to-- Even in the second adventure you didn't hate Roberto as much as you do now. But it's a fine wine. Yeah, it tends to-- Mature us. Yeah, it matures us. And what odds do you think they're on whether she took the nail with her? Excellent question. We are not out of shit creek yet. Is the point here? Absolutely not, but no one's in danger. And if that guy wine is done breathing-- Well, you know, as Elvis said, that it was safe. I don't think she put it under a pillow. Certainly valid. But I am going to roll one last time, try to find some physical evidence that they left behind for him to track-- What the fuck, a rapper? I don't know what you can do. Anyone who's mad at you-- What did you try to accomplish? I'm looking for something that the two people who busted in your left mind. And then I'm going to fucking-- I just realized I don't need to do that. The other fucking plate number. Uh-huh. So we found our car. They left their plate number about it. Yes, they did. Did I notice that they lose anything or drop anything? I mean, other than straight hair or-- No, but I mean, just a little bit of, like you said, you can call into the office and say, just do a trace on this plate number. This could be Edmund's office. Well, you're on this now. I'm going to use-- You don't have to use the government thing to find out that the plate was-- That's good. This is a regular ass crime. I mean, it's a regular ass crime. The plate that belongs to a car and the car is owned by a Floyd Matherson. Floyd Matherson, yes. Who lives-- How is going to be a badass criminal? It's really not a badass criminal name, is it? I would not be Floyd Mather. No, but he lives on the east side. We're a little bit close to Roberto's neighborhood. His friends call him the F-Pong. All right. He's probably got a nickname. Yeah. Yeah, you don't call a guy, you know. Floyd. Come on. We have his house number. We'll tell the cops house number. It's called the address by most people. It is? It's famous, a paragraph. Edmund, can you still kick indoors? Oh, yeah. All right, let's hold on. You just want to break a door and you look at that thing. I was wondering if he was worth bearing along. You were the top of the list. I didn't ask because I know you can kick through walls. So let's go. All right. Roberto, you want to go over? Where are you going? Floyd Mather, since that. The last criminal director's show. Oh, really, Floyd? He's dropping a bag. Do I have to go in a fort? Yeah, we're just dropping a bag. Sure. No, I don't think I want to do that. That's perfectly reasonable. He's a loving man. You actually do know Floyd. He's a thug. Just kind of a liar. I will sit outside with my sniper rifle though. I like that fine. Well, they have a panel, man. I don't think he's loving a man. But I will shoot over this. Fuck. I hope he's not like being in charge. Maxwell doesn't like being in charge. His plan right now is go kick in the door of a criminal. We don't even know if they did anything. Actually, Roberto knows. Yeah, he's an asshole. He is pretty much an asshole. He's low, life, drug dealer. He's somebody else's mooc, though. Breaks in, does stuff. If you need to answer questions, he's got one too many eyes. I was going to say, Roberto, the lock drum and night pressure. Here is the operative question in my mind right now. Why don't we just fucking tell the cops? Where's the name? That's the reason. All right. Did you see her cards? She wouldn't leave her tarot deck. She's wicked magic. You don't just leave that when you go and visit a bunch of-- Yeah, hold on. If I were going to see his white council, I wouldn't bring any of my tricks. You wouldn't-- Well, her cards take them. You're going to get a neutered fucked up by the wizards. People touch him. So she does tend to do wizards on his back. If her purse is gone, I'm guessing she's got a card safely. It's a guess, but maybe my guess. I wouldn't trust the wizards. I wouldn't trust the wizards, so I would bring a gun. She wouldn't trust the wizards, she would bring a tarot deck. All right, see, let's talk about this. Is it a bad thing if we just hand this guy over to the cops? Because if he has the nail, can I do anything to people? I was there when they left. Ask your fucking demon. I just remember that. How about we anonymously tip the cops to this guy, wait, let them bring him in, and then we can go-- They're just us. Well, that's what we're working on. But I know that they did not leave Zelda's apartment in triumph. If we assume they're looking for the nail, I think we can assume that they did not find the nail. I mean, the only information that I guess that we really need or would like to know from these people is why, where they're looking for it, and why do they know that she had it? That's an important factor. Why do we know that she had it? No, we know because we gave it to her. They know because there's a way-- That's a good point. And the police aren't going to be terribly interested or-- believing that kind of-- So we let the cops catch him, and then question them whether under the cops authority, or should we just go to this guy and shake him down ourselves? The last time we tried to shake him down, it was a witness. And therefore, we were supposed to be nice. But no, the operative problem was the cops tried to stop us. So we should do it before the cops get in. Exactly, exactly. All right, and we can always turn him over to the cops later. Should we call London in for disguises, or should we just wear ski masks? When we're breaking this house to interrogate this man-- He knows me. That's worse. Oh, no. He knows me. He knows me. This is the first time I've shut him down. Yes, but this time, we're immediately going to tear him over to the cops. No, maybe. If he thinks he went too deep into something, he'll spill everything. He'll turn state's witness. He'll do whatever the fucking he needs to. That's not a good thing. For us, we look like cops, so say anything. No, no, no. The bad thing is, after we interrogate him, we are sending him to the cops, possibly. If we do that, and he knows who we are, we're going to get arrested for plucking eyeballs out. Or, you know, you are. I'm just going to talk nice. I'm pretty good at it. You're welcome, Troy. Yeah, I want to stay in the van with the gun, just to make sure that it gets out alive that I don't want to. Also, I could probably come up with some sort of-- Truth serum? Yeah, something that functions as a nominal truth serum. Does Roberto think that's necessary? The truth serum angle? The schedule's-- I'm pretty good at telling when people are alive. I guess it would give us a level of confidence. If you need confidence, I'd be confident if I'd kick a crap out of him. But it's a talking-- Truth serum would take additional time. I'm worried we don't have right now. I don't know how long I'm going to take you. Could you do it? Because you're in the way there. Do you have it? I'm just not going to hide anything, let's just go. OK. OK, I can give you just a standard drug that makes you trusting and talky. You just have that? Truth serum. Yeah. All right, I dig that. Something along the lines of-- That sounds helpful. And if the police do immediately arrest him, that's a thing that looks like regular drugs, whatever. All right, guys, arrive at the house. To be clear, you call in to work. They look up the license. They got the name. They got the address. You go to the house. Yes. So how do we even get in there to help us witness? Knock on the door. Have you heard the good word? Car there? The car is there. It's in the driveway. The same one that are up a song. These are crazy criminals. They are. Well, they-- I'm sorry. They didn't account for time traveling fucking drug addicts. They are parked in the driveway. They're bad. This house is shit. It's a very small ramshackle, single floor, fine car type of-- the yard is just filled with shit. It's not an addict I'm a user. They're blocked. So to come out, we want to buy some shit. And dealer? We got some money when they come out. Then we pull them into the van and talk to them. We'll have a lot of-- politely. Quite tough. It's late at night. It is dark. There are a lot of lights on in the house. Piers to be people walking around. Wrap up. That is two. You should solicit drugs from, you know, how the lingo works. You want him to come out, I'll scare him out. I'll go to the back door. All right, you do that, flush him out. Accept the fence. Don't. OK. Head around in the back, I didn't hear it, don't. Yeah. Do this. Roberto usually doesn't. Yeah, he never does. There's a glass door. It's broken. Of course it is. This is a shitty neighborhood. I kick one of the remaining pieces of glass in and say, knock, knock. I'm moving into the shadows of the front door where I can jump anybody who tries to run out the front door. Maxwell, I continue to sit my wine. OK, so you walk around the back of the house, what you see is it's got like a kind of screen door, and that is the last part of the door. But the inside door is the regular wooden door. So kick it apart. Do you rip open the screen door and kick in the wooden one? Deer in the van. Sitting in the van with the-- Looking through the scope through the window. Yeah. See what I can see if it isn't locked. Just open it and kick it in the wall. Mostly make a noise. You reach for the knife, you turn, and it does open. And then you just kick in, so it slams up against the wall. And then chop knock knock. OK. There are two gentlemen. One is in the living room pacing around. The one you know as Floyd is in the same room you are over by the refrigerator, getting a beer out of it. And they seem to be mid-conversational and it happens, but they stop. He looks, drops the beer, and says, fuck. And starts running through the living room towards the front door. I throw the table on him. Go for it. This is-- so this is a shitty neighborhood. It's weapons. Oh, yeah. So that one would be out of line. I don't think-- I don't know about a rush to get to-- I don't know about a sniper shot, but-- They took a good while to get to-- Fellows and bounce, a nice neighborhood. Yeah. Glucicuzzi. Might. Or weapons. It's almost Halloween. Weapon. Might. Or weapon. If you're throwing up-- if you're picking up the table and throwing it, it's a weapon. If you're simply kicking it, trying to fly across their own, that's might. Try to block the door, mostly. Right. That's fine. Let's get the shot out of him. Go for it. OK. We want him out the door. Let's get the shot out of him. Throw intimidation now. That's easy. That's modified by intimidation. It's both nice and nice. OK. And I have excellent strength, somehow. Magic. Go figure. It's plus 3-1 lifting, breaking things with might. And it just qualifies. OK. So you're just kicking the table apart? It breaks, but yeah. So I get a six. Fantastic. OK. You walk through the kitchen door. You kick the table so hard. It literally shatters into two pieces, just two big chunks. One goes flying, slams into the door that he's heading towards. The other one hits the wall and kind of ricochets off. We're going to go with the roll as well. So roll your alertness. Everyone that's involved in the combat. Holy fuck. You're like, what? Max was like-- It was so unexpected that Roberto would throw a table. I cannot move. Rapid, do you have regular drugs? And then he just sits there with the regular drugs for the entire combat. I roll minus 1, and my alertness is 1, so I'm 0. 0 for rapid. My total is 1. That goes in there. 1, a 4, and a back again. I'm actually a little negative 1. SC rolled minus 4 on the dice. I rolled a negative 2, and I don't know how that's possible, logically, since I'm the one who entered the room. But I have a 0. So we're going to start at 0, and then we're going to wrap around because you initiated the action. Sweet, I don't know next. So no, actually, wrap us next. Fun. I'm also 0. You see some shadows through the windows. You're outside with Edmund. Edmund's a little closer to the door. You're in the street in the car. So you can see Edmund by the front door, and you see shadows, and then you see while looming closer as it seems to be coming towards the front door. I'm going to make my stealth, bro. OK. See how well I was. Which of? Of course. You want to take an action, right, go out of the way. I'm going to let this play out. This guy looks like he's getting away, then I'm going to shoot his leg or something. Who's spend your turn aiming? Maxwell is waiting. I'm pretty sure as it brought my connect, see me by the door. What did you roll for a stealth? Fair, I got plus 2 because I am semi-vampire-y. Right. And then I rolled plus 3 on top of that. Wow, nice. What size is on my foot? I'm 2 above superb? 9. 2 above superb. So you're out there? That's dark this time of year. I am the shadows. Shit. As long as you don't look like a door, I think you're safe. Maxwell is behind the wheel of the van. He was long driving. And he needs to be the one to drive out of here before he hands it off to rapper, because rapper needs to shoot people. OK. Oh, yeah. And rapper might need to shoot people and admins too busy waiting in ambush. And Roberta's being a Roberta. What else does somebody needs to drive? So much driving. What are you rolling? I'm rolling for Floyd who went through the front window. Good point. Yeah. That's a barrier. He has to overcome that. That's what he was doing with his athletics in hero plus 2 and his athletics is 1. That's 3. That takes him through the front window and I'll take him through the front door. For the crash? With a crash. But we like just flooding out as the curtains come with him through the front window. He didn't tear them off the right way. I think it weren't very good curtains to be in this. Landing basically is a shower curtain. It's-- I know it's better shower curtain, catches him. It's a bed sheet is what it is, actually. Admin, he lands virtually at your feet, because he comes crashing through the window and lands on the porch, which is your kind of hiding in the shadows behind the bush. Maxwell just realized he should be the one waiting in ambush. She can grab a, like, motherfucker. Yes, he can. Scuse yourself. Excuse me. I'm very cinematic punching the throat or something. The second fog that I had up to this point been unnamed. Gary. Sure. Gary Simon. Get another box here. Watches Floyd do this, looks in towards the kitchen, sees Roberto there, goes, fuck, and tries to go through the front window as well, which is already broke. So I have to do a step over. He doesn't make any trips. And falls, takes any trips. And tap a flight, both of them on the porch. And then we go to Roberto. Roberto has this hammer. It lights up fire. And he steps out on the porch onto their chest. We're up a shoot and collected. [LAUGHTER] Roberto, on the other guys. Oh, no. [LAUGHTER] This can only get uglier if you move. Get uglier if you hate that. And this is intimidation, and I'm trying to boss him around. Give me an intimidation. Oh, questions? Here, we're going to do this in the lab. Hammer has a few questions. That is a bonus for many people. Do what I want. Physically? Maybe I do in the updated-- Oh, you're going to do their shit here. Because I don't think I have to refresh. I think I have one. Four, great. Very scary. Booby booby booby. After Roberto is up at max, which I'm imagining, you're still waiting to see what happens. Well, actually, before Roberto was supposed to be admin, I'm sorry. I'm assuming that Floyd's going to try to run. OK. It would be impressive. So I'm going to try to knock him out so he can't knock late. We can question him later. OK, we went a little bit out of order. But Roberto's down the arm with the flaming hammer, and you walk over and-- Why don't you knock Floyd right now? Curb style or punch? I mean, what do you mean? I can't go to help him up, buddy. OK. You grab by the collar, pull it off of the collar, punch him back like that. I just had to snap back into the concrete. You know, concussion. Go for it. I want to make sure these beans are good things, but that's what we want. Oh, no. He is not. Wow, minus three on the dice. Blood with his chin. Yes, he did. His athletics is one. That takes it to minus two. We're also going to give him a minus for being underneath and throw the way large fat. So I'll just raise the level. Wow. Just minus one and two. Minus two. That's all. What's your fist? My might. My fist is superb. So superb. Take it down two. So that's five. Take it down two, three. You actually get to add his minus three as plus three. Right, so back up the fantastic. And that's one of the same. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, I give plus two damage. But you actually hit him so hard that his head went a little bit through the wood in the porch. And it's kind of wedged there. Two. The other guy that's on top of him rules off in attempts to run his athletics, however, is zero. And he holds minus two. Tripping off the porch, falling-- basically he's hailing himself on the fence. I yell out the window. I don't know how all is a killer drug. I suppose it's like-- Fuck. Oh, yes, on three. We need to talk to those people. What is wrong with you? Yeah, the guy on the fence is not looking good. But Floyd is unconscious and apparently alive. I mean, he's got some bullets in his head. Put it this way in his head. But it's not-- Put it this way in his head, buddy. It's your option, Edmund, to determine how I think about it at the same time. Do you want to see him? Because he is clearly out of the same. He was just a thug, not many hit points. And you fucked him apart. I didn't kill him, busted his head open. He's bleeding, but he's not like in any danger of dying, or you might need a few stitches later. But nothing serious, and he's not conscious. Yeah, that was-- So Roberto drops his hammer to the porch. He walks over the guy in the fence and is like-- Pushing him farther down on the fence? He's a little bit deaf. Holds you not to run. I'm going to slide over. And you need to get out there. I'm going to slide to the driver's seat and just back up right next to the porch. Just not-- Throw this guffiness shoulder, bottom over the curb. Daxwell has flashbacks. I'm throwing Floyd over my shoulder, walking over the bed. I have driving of two, so I guess I'm going to drive a van. Yeah, you're going to go over a curb anyway. Do you guys throw them in the van? Take them. Where? Look at the same holdings. Not to the London. The same holdings. So we throw-- I was not listening from this scene. Seriously, do you show up with two B to shoot people? Back car? Outside of London, he's going to be pissed. This is making this decision. We have a holdings salad we used for crispy brews. You absolutely have a holdings salad. Could you rename it, by the way? That was one of the things you said in my episode that you were going to rename it when you were in charge. OK, it's just with the child for the list. It's one of the A's off. We all thought it was eight and eight and eight. So you have a holdings salad that crispy brews lost his eye, and you take him there, and you question him. Yeah. We will-- we're going to do the honor, because that's what he does, is intimidate-- Maxwell is in the room. But Maxwell, we'll ask the question. We're going to expedite this, because it's 11.15, and I wanted to finish by 11.30. We're wrapping up. I mean, I'm going to suggest, on the way over, we call London until we join the party. That's fine. Yeah. I mean, because it's just right now our cinematics community. And it's going to lead into the actual adventure. They have been hired, and it was by someone that they can give you a name to retrieve the nail. That person told them where it was. They told them who had it. They told them how to get it. They themselves could not touch it. And in researching a little parameter, but couldn't touch it? No, the person who knew where it was. Oh, it touched it. And the voice in your head is whispering that it-- That person is controlled by a demon. Not one of the coined demons, not one of the names, but just a regular demon, which should not be on Earth. Yeah, it is. Good news, everyone. And we'll leave that there, and it will definitely feed into the main adventure where we'll be trying to dress up. [MUSIC PLAYING] [BELL RINGING] [BELL RINGING] Oh, and, uh, represent, I just watched a documentary on marijuana. I think all documentaries should be watched this way. Mm, it doesn't matter. [LAUGHTER] Uh-huh. I don't know if I'm good. OK. [BELL RINGING] I'm John, playing at the New Morgan Nut. Playing with your E.S. when you're playing attention. My preparer, John, playing. Prepare to-- [BELL RINGING] Wow. Just give me an R and I could have gotten that. [BELL RINGING] I looked at you and went back. Casino chips for nannies? They're really cool. I mean, they're like- Oh, I like that. I had a couple of two of the rogue zoos from the only half, but it was prohibitively expensive. They would have been really cool if we could have designed our own. That would have been cool. Oh. But you have to order over $500, $500 some shit, maybe $300. I've got to poke or something. How much do they cost for a month to shut up? Plus set up and it would have been hundreds of dollars. We could just say a little bit. But we would have a lot of them. You could have given them away instead of T-shirts. And I only looked at one place. I didn't price shop. Well, it's a possibility that we will order a handful, or a couple hundred, and then we'd have them certainly more interesting than business cards at, like, cons that we go to and we can throw them into the T-shirt packets. Because whenever it's overseas, I have it delivered to my house because you have to. And then I open it up and toss in some business cards and then they could toss some of those. And then it should come out. It would be kind of cool. The difference between trying and trying up is a little oomph. That's really bad, Jim. And a secret tie. Secret tie? Ooh, food? Talking about food again? No. Secret tie is awesome. Oh. I'm sorry. Secret ties, yes. I didn't want to say what it was, because it was a secret. Oh. I don't know if you want to keep the secret. Maybe keeping our source in the public eye. I thought I made that secret public, but maybe not. And I'm not sure about this one, so I'm not going to really read it, and that's it. That's the one where he wants to kill everybody. Mm-hmm. Okay, you only have three of the five. Five? Come on, that's most of it. Yeah, literally. 60% is most of it. That's more than half. It's D minus, man. I'm half. Really? That's probably the one with the D minus. Problems with authority. That's really an aspect. It's a no-shit aspect. Which one of your characters is that polite to you? Oh, wait. Oh. Not true. That's also one of mine. Almost. Almost. Almost. I think the new Monera maybe was the only character he played that he didn't have trouble with authority. Well, he didn't have-- No, he had trouble with authority. We didn't have any authority. Daniel doesn't necessarily-- Daniel? Daniel? Pretty good. Yeah, there's going to be a little bit, but not a ton. Now, he just offers dissenting opinions, which is relevant because he's changed. Yeah, there's no Monera character that was thought he was authority. Didn't he? You're the one I thought you were. You were God. That was your character. In the ordinary. Yeah. Yeah, but I didn't push it down on everybody. You just expected them to go down. You had a following of one. Come on. Yep. That's how it's going. Yep. Ah. What do I try my name on the card? I forget who you are. Roberto. You can't forget Roberto. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. That wouldn't happen if you let me take one. Just like a math. What's your role? Mm-hmm. Lots of things. Mistake. That's like -300. Do you want me to put my AC on there? Ha! I like this game already. I rolled a -1, a -2, a -3, a -4, and a +1. So -3. Don't roll with your feet. Ooh, these are many, many more minuses underneath the bag. So you call your boss, Anthony. He answers the phone and says, "What?" Did you? You sound like a robot. What? I think a robot. You sound like a robot. I thought you were a vampire. Not a robot. The world is sold. The dayboard. It's 929 and London sucks. Yes. That didn't take very long either. Is that a wheel of fortune time for Roberto and his mom? Because you don't call during wheel of fortune time. I'll leave a message. It's a taxi service you can summon with your smartphone. Yeah, you just say, "I need to be picked up at this time," and some dude or lady who's driving across town and has no other thing to do. There's commercials all the time that it's a service where people just sign up on their phone and say, "I want to be an Uber right now," they go through the whole approval process. They become a driver. Then they're just a taxi. I'm sure about this on NPR. I didn't know it was in Cleveland. Right. It was in Columbus. We took it a lot when he was at the party in Columbus. Yeah. Just an average Joe. You know, whoever. Or maybe not. But, you know, they pick you up and they drive you because they're going to that distance or they just want to drive for the day and make money because they're off for the death. Anyways. Right. And now you two listeners know what Uber is. You could be Uber. Mm-hmm. Not that London didn't go right for the toilet seat. Mm-hmm. Note. Note. That's right. Yeah, it was Anna Bartlett, the president's wife. Questburn. Straight up. Nice. What's it doing? I even give you extra props because that's a show that you were probably young and two of you watching. Yeah. It was an unbelievable life. But Netflix it in. Very good show. Very good show. Good show. John. John, who plays Roberto passed me a question. I need to look it up. I will just answer without writing it down as possibly. And I think that's something we would determine on our full start. It doesn't, rather than unless it's- Unless it comes off. Right. That's what's going on. And really I intend this to be the one shot tonight, so. Is that working on? Oh, yeah. Let's do it like so. You all did? No, you did. I'll tell you. You guys going around? You guys going around? There's a bomb in Repa's car. I don't know. I am Bartlett. That was a good old man, not her first one. I don't know. Abby. What? Right. Anna Bartlett was the lady next door. Oh, no. I've imported some Thomas was looking at up and you're not asking about that so well. I'm helping please conduct the investigation next door and I was wondering if you had it. Well, the guy was like, "No, he's got it." Oh, he doesn't say it. I am helping. I'm conducting, I have a poor- You're not good at this? How well people like you? Well, I'm good. I'm decent. Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you said I have a poor. No. You have a rapport. I have a totally different thing than what you're making for people like you. It's an apocalypse. You're a right apartment. You know how to wear it? Which is making people like you make good first impressions or I have empathy which is like figuring out how she's acting and stuff from her if she's trying to hide it. Which do you want me to roll? What am I rolling the last time it was? The magnetic system is off. I'm hoping that the system, I hate the magic system. I'm hoping the parents' papers will, I don't know, that's the right thing. I keep reading it and it doesn't make sense to me. Anyways, sorry. I love the game. So, I think we did like three different roles and I don't think that was fair but that's a whole other conversation. Sure. Was it investigation and then lore and then survival? I don't know, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I guess already of those. Okay. Just real quick. There's investigation and lore and survival are all affected. It doesn't necessarily mean that there are three roles but it rolls to be made but rather that this power affects those three skills. Those will come in handy if you have that power so it's just a guideline on what you should have. Maybe I'm misremembering that. In particular, survival is just for when you get to the place that you're going, if it's a hostile environment, you're going to want to have survival. It's not necessarily a role you will always have to make especially because you're not going to the never-neverer, you're going to pass, I think. White cheer. Out of the ether, a fist comes through its backs, max hopes I had to reset the never-neverer. Mmm. It has the class range of London. I know. Sorry. Pulling me powers out of your ass. Yes. It's an important part.
