S.I.R.E.N tries to get throught the door - really we do - I blame the storyteller...
Knights of the Night
232 Hell is a Land without Marbles
[Music] Hello and welcome to the Knights of the Night actual play podcast. This world of darkness started. The Syneater was written and run by your star dollar Scott. And now, please enjoy episode 252 titled "Hell is a Land without Marvels." Actual play begins 15 minutes 47 seconds. Okay feedback this week we had a few posts from the kotnpodcast.com blog site. The first one was from Anonymous. Oh I love Anonymous! Don't worry he's a dick. Comment it on episode 230 which was titled "The Knife is Pissed." Does that mean? No I think it was me. It's good to change every week. Yeah. The comment starts with "I have been waiting for Syneater campaign to end so that we can get back to listening to a world of the darkness without time bullshit happening and an annoying girl. While I understand that there should be rules against character versus character killing, it is usually fine if the majority of the player characters want to kill the character. And I'm thinking as I'm typing this that you'll just delete this comment like you did to the others that I noticed were deleted when they were negative about the campaign or about Silver Bell. You mad bro? So. Others? Anonymous is a bit upset. I did respond on the blog as well as I will respond here in five years that we've been doing this podcast. I have deleted a total of one post. And it was in fact about Silver Bell and it contained two words. Kill Silver Bell. And I deleted it because there's nothing productive about that post. There's nothing constructive about that post. There's not even a clarification of why such things should happen. It was just a mean-spirited comment that didn't need to be there. Correct. So I deleted it and if I had it to do over again, I would delete it again. As I would delete this one for its mean spiritness as well. There's nothing constructive about that comment. At least they spent a little time to say that they weren't enjoying the campaign and it wasn't just a comment that someone. Sure. But it certainly wasn't ever overly constructive I guess. Right. I'd like them to enjoy their free entertainment elsewhere then. Yes. Not happy? That's fine. I think there is a point that they're making at least some point in this case where they don't like what's happening and can we please move on or whatever. Yeah, I don't have a problem with someone not enjoying the podcast and expressing that. I don't think that particular two-word comment was even worth this much time. This particular poster mentioned that we deleted or didn't read several emails. No, we've read pretty much everything. If there's any bit of constructive criticism that could be gleaned out of it. Like I didn't see this one. You guys did. No, it's cool. If we ever missed feedback of any type it was accidental. Even negative ones we've read. And I am the only one that we all have very thick skin here. So we don't like we don't hide things is what I'm saying. We don't have to run away from anything. This is a free podcast as long as the eight people around the table are at least somewhat enjoying the story and not showing up for the week because they hate it. Well, if that's the case we'll stop doing it of course. But as long as the people around the table are having a halfway decent time then you know I mean I'm sorry he's not enjoying it. But hopefully the next story will be more to his liking. I'm the one who gathers all of the feedback from all the different stories. You would not. I'm the only one that goes to that site and I'm the only one that ever deleted it and it was one. Right. One put also bottom us. Five years. Also by an honor. It was the same guy. Yeah, it's the same guy. It was spelled the same way too. Amazing. It's amazing. It's everywhere. Is it any white must? Yes, exactly. There was another poster on the blog site and this was from Chris M and he posted this under the comedians main page and he said he was looking for a Dresden file AP and it came across us on RPG geek and he's loving it so far. Currently he's about halfway through delivery. The verbal duel between London and Constan had me laughing the whole time and cemented London as my favorite character of the campaign. At least up to this point. There needs to be a copy. Yeah. I will definitely continue on with rituals and we'll likely listen to the rest of your stuff as your great entertainment makes me want to restart my own Dresden fellow campaign. Though I'm a terrible GM. But thanks for making these and keep up the great work. It's not a liability. You know and terrible GM maybe by his own standards but you know what if you listen to enough other APs besides our own of course you take things, steal things, use them, get better at it because that's a human condition. We all start off terrible at what we do and we try something for the first time. Usually we're terrible at it so don't give up man. Learn from it and grow. I was recently listening to rituals myself because I'm trying to get prep work geared up to go into my own the third chapter of the Dresden story. So I plan on listening to delivery and then rituals and I know exactly what he's referring to and that was a wonderful scene and I'm glad he said to this point because there was a scene just a few episodes later where you pissed me off this London so much that it was enough three years later and I was getting upset all over it. Just listening to it. I was like God he was being such a dick and it was standing in front of the door with Ryan Nelson and you were arguing that it was a waste of time and then proceeded to waste 45 minutes talking about how big a waste of time it is to open this door. That episode I will say in my defense that episode cemented the door meme as a meme for KOTN so it's all your fault. There are some worth having. This one might not be one of them. That's all I got. All right over to Facebook. Romulus P posted on the general page and said what are we trying to list this good thing? Well I think it's the one. Have you guys ever tried the Savage World game? It isn't so much a pallet cleanser but I would like to hear your take on it. I would like to see a game where the older generation of the group plays professionals and the younger players play students. Savage Worlds is he talking about in a fantasy sense or in a... Savage Worlds is kind of a system. It can play with anything. Yeah. They put out a general book. But he said specifically like masters and students or whatever the terminology was. Do you think he's referring to a fantasy setting or a modern day setting? It wasn't clear what he was referring to. Okay. It's sort of what you thought. About half of us have played that. We always played it at a convention recently. What was his thought? I played it before that as well. It's a very quick-paced easy game and somewhat like Fader, Dungeon Warly gives you a lot of leeway as a GM to move things along at a pretty quick pace. I enjoyed it. The rules don't get in the way. It's good. Which is a good thing. Yes. It's got exploding dice to have potential for some really big hero actions. Right. Okay. So it's a fun set. It'd be some day for... In very, very simple. Right. Very easy. I know. I've heard about it for years so it certainly has a following. Still on Facebook, over on episode 229, the standard ghost door. It's the standard ghost door. Chris N posted and said, "Why? Oh, why? Did I listen to the outtakes of this episode?" Thanks a lot, Mike. Now I'm hooked on Daredevil. He's playing you for... Could we talk to you about... I suppose he said, "Why are you blaming him?" That's an excellent series. Well, obviously it was Tom and Sheikah, I think. Well, he agreed, but he had just set through eight hours. Yeah, you have to binge him. We'll just start. You end up binging somebody for it. Let's change the way everyone watches TV. Luke G posted and said, "I wish that I could, but Netflix is not in Japan yet." Also, I really liked the planned description of shooting over the shoulder while running away. Cool idea. That was you outside, though. Yeah, it was just cinematic. This was worthless. Still on Facebook, episode 230, the knife is pissed. Luke G posted and said, "You know, I'm beginning to realize that this entire chapter could have been titled The Door. Given how much of the storyline, not just a nice normal cautionary, but the actual storyline has revolved around the door opening or trying to get through a door, or trying to get a door to open." True. Gateway being a door, I think is what he's referring to, and certainly the gateways played a huge part in the story. So, yes. Good point. R.E.J. also posted under that one and said, "Yes, I'm flying home tomorrow, and the nights will keep me company on the train to Narita airport." He was actually in Japan. Yes. Visiting Luke, apparently. No. Who does one trust if not the nights? He was in Japan, and Luke mentioned that they should try to hook up, and he said that it was a sudden spur-of-the-moment thing with work, and he didn't have direction that he would probably try that. The world has a normal traveler. I mean, that guy, if he's not flying somewhere, he's driving somewhere, listening to KOTN in Finland, I think. I want to say Finland. He didn't say airport, right? Because he didn't drive to Japan. Technically. They have flying cars. No, he couldn't have been like that. Awesome, yeah. Scandinavian's got it going on. So, I lost his play for Hawaii lately. Yeah, I'm not really sure. They ship him over on KOTN. I'm sure they're not. Well, I don't build them there. They don't have it. I saw one for Wake Island. That's weird. Wow, Wake Island? Dude, I was like, "Well, I'm here. I mean, Ohio." Right, I would have to take a picture of that. That's insane. I saw a last guy, I was impressed with that because, practically, he could have driven the entire world. That is a long one. That is a haul. Still, on episode 230, Paul B posted and said in the bloopers, you were talking about Breaking Bad to the British people, and I'm sure Canadians as well. Breaking Bad is a show about how the US is a really harsh place to live. Just to share with us. That's a good point, but obviously, like any television show, if one was to watch another type of show you would think that all. I mean, it's not representative of all of America. Breaking Bad is, we definitely obviously have a meth problem in our United States as they do in Canada and as they do in England and everywhere else. Yeah, I watched Ronnie Python and I don't think that's everybody. No, it's not. But so, it's just to be clear. They all walk silly. Rachel insists that it is exactly how everyone thinks. They all walk around the coconuts and pretend to be on horses. No, but yeah, I mean, it's a fantastic show, but yeah, it is a very dark slice of Americana, I guess, would be a good way to put it. Yeah. John, did you watch it? It's good. Bit some pieces. Yeah. And lastly, on Facebook, episode 231, it's called Metagaming or Cheedy Cheater Pants. Right. Which has to be one of our... I think actually those were both you. Cheedy Cheater Pants? Yes, very good. I was very tired last time. I heard a choice, so that one made a difference. It was Cheedy Cheater Pants and it was a young kid talking to you. Yeah, it was over a bell. Okay, okay. I just say, they just normally would not come up. It's called Metagaming was you talking to Rachel about wanting to... Can I add something? Wanted to spend a few points at the last minute to be Cheedy Cheater Pants to be Che... and they worked together. She was blocking her mind from being read by the boy right now. And he was saying Cheedy Cheater Pants. Luke G posted and said Silver Bull graduated from the Bilbo back in the School of Supernatural Diplomacy. Okay, so Bilbo. Graduated from the... The school? We can go on. He might be referring to the bit where he did the real goal and he cheated by... Oh, yeah, I guess so. Oh, excellent. Yeah. Thomas, well played, sir. Very well played. How did he cheat again? I don't fucking cheat all the time. Because he didn't ask a question. What's in my pocket? What? Oh, it probably did. It was a question, but it wasn't a fiddle. It was a question. Later on Luke posted and said... Well, actually he posted a link of Doctor Who. It was a Doctor Who parody of Let's Do the Time Warp again. That was the weirdest video I've seen in a long time. First of all, Doctor Who played by a female but voiced by a male. Neither of them were the Doctor Who. Don't they have a female Doctor Who? The Doctor. No, they talked about it. Sort of. There's a new one. Right? A new Doctor Who? Yes, there's a new Doctor Who. I know, there's always a new Doctor Who. A new Doctor Who. But I think there's a new one. I love that you come and it's a Doctor Who. He's just the Doctor. He's the Doctor. No, he's Doctor Who. No, he's not. Doctor Who lives and never, never. Right. Who's awesome? The 10th Doctor. Yes. The upcoming story. He was the 10th Doctor. Wow. Yeah. It was the 12th, man. Excellent job of David Tennant not being the Doctor. And if anyone enjoys British mysteries, it's called... Rod Church. Rod Church. And the second season is on couch tuner, as opposed to the first season, which is just on Netflix. They don't have the second season yet. That helps a lot. Couch tuner is 3TB. In fact, the beauty of the whole. Mine doesn't. Mine doesn't. No, no. It's a really empty world. European thing that is probably incredibly illegal, but from America's standpoint. But anyways, Rod Church's second season, if you really enjoyed the first season, is on couch tuner. And horing for it. Yes. Jason, I actually cut some clips out and put them at the end of the episode, because I do that. And one of them was News on the Loose. A comment made by, I think, perhaps. I don't think that was my... Who was News on the Loose? Not me. I don't like it when you picked it up. It wasn't me initially. And someone else said, "Get your logic out of my role plane." And he thought the both of those would be great titles. "Get your logic out of my role plane" was Thomas, but that's way too long for a title. And unfortunately, I put up the poll for the titles, when I was about 3/4 of the way done editing, and then I got News on the Loose, and... Right. "Get your logic out of my role plane." I wonder how different the voting would be, if the results weren't displayed before you voted. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. And not at all. Oh, I... The results? Okay, I was like... They don't show you the categories before you vote. When the voting would be really different. Because I think no one wants to vote for a loser, so they look at the first top one saying, which one do I like? I'm sure that's... Yeah, I don't think there's an option for that. But that would be interesting. For our mailing list, Pete posted and said, "Am I the only one who is reminded of the Aerosmiths' song when Katie touched the gun and disappeared? Any wrote the lyrics, Katie is a gun. The ghost did better run." Oh, and I'm not saying it because my voice is terrible. Katie's got a gun. Yeah, to the tune of. Exactly. Jamie's got a gun. Ari posted as well and said, "And another background song has been found. This episode was a title line fest. I had a constant jaw hurting grin going on. Lougy also posted and said how many of us can sympathize with Rachel at the end of this episode, up to and including someone else getting less screen times than you. And it was Rachel in frustration saying, "You can't quit here. You have to come back to me." Because she was trying to finish off the save of the day. I was trying to, but it's not going to happen, guys, sorry. Jason Mick posted and said, "I can't wait until all of Siren gets back to 2011." And then someone looks around and says, "Wait, where are those kids we brought back in time?" Yeah, where are those kids? Where are those kids? They're in a hotel somewhere. Being watched by the better off. For all we know, they might be the people that have been working against us all this year. That's a good point as a patron. It's a time in paradox. The other one's torturing us because we left them back in time. I like it. I began to wonder if binary hex is one of us. Binary hex is one of the kids. Binary hex is you. That would explain how it beats you. You know how to beat yourself. Alright, with that, we're going to get on to the actual episode. You, everyone, for using the Amazon link and for the Patreon, we should be giving a feature away next time we meet. And for all the fathers out there, Happy Father's Day as it was just the past Sunday. This is the world of darkness story, The Cineider. I'm your storyteller, Scott. And with us tonight, starting on my right is Michael playing Ethan Clark, a medical doctor and member of Aegis Kiderus since 1929. Tom playing Jay Alton, member of the ascending ones, and leader of Task Force Siren. I'm Jim playing... Disappated claims from the recently deceased Katie. This is Mike playing Michael Clay, the academic adventurer from the Aegis Kiderus. Bob playing FBI Special Agent 2 Park, member of the Best Human Services. Thomas playing Ed Godmont Tastes, a goudoon practitioner and a member of the great conspiracy. John playing Daniel Morgan, an augmented mercenary, next member of Task Force Walker. Rachel playing Silverwell, or Grace Rockland, angsty, angry, time slipping teenager. I know you're going to want to do aspirations, but I'm pretty sure none of them change for anybody. No, wait, actually. Have I escaped from this new bullshit? Yeah. Nothing has changed for me. That is everyone's goal. No aspirations. Where everyone's goal is to get the hell out of here. Are we going to go over them? No time. I see the point. Especially with short time. My new long term from, because I fulfilled the one from my street. Tonight's short. Was to bring back the team. Hello. All right. Thank you for that. To never be accomplished because Jim is 10. My short term goal is to come back from the dead. That's my long term goal. After all, sir, we did that. I mean, you do this for several weeks, but as you are all dealing with these children, one capacity or another, there's a picture of them to go around the table. Add to the creepiness factor. I like the eyes. Those are definitely. We'll post as well online for our listeners. Back to the scene in the present day, with everyone except for the dissipated sister Katie. But we tested with them. Yeah, we did didn't we? And Dr. Clay and Grace, who are somewhere else. As we call, I think the last thing that happened in that particular scene was the fact that Daniel Morgan, who is one arm with a rifle, and I had some shoulders starting to spiral away to nothing this shot. Hangman's rope, that was slithering towards the third bedroom, which you are now residing in. Jay, you were in a far corner rustling with a shotgun, which seems to be moving up its own volition. And Edgard, who with his mad knife skills, deflected a spectral knife that was also menacing the group, and had done such a fantastic job that it lodged itself into a doorframe. A ghost doorframe. So at this moment, everyone is kind of suspended in action. They realize that Katie is just the last whisper of her, has disappeared. The difference cube is actually in the air, thrumming about shoulder height, and spinning slowly on its axis. The gate is perceivable to you in this spectral state of twilight. So you can all see the gate, which seems to be a glow, but there seems to be no ability to move through it to any effect. Let's start with the person who's had a vast initiative, which was Jay. Jay, you are literally wrestling with this gun, which wants to very badly point towards you, and presumably discharge. I'm backing towards the group, and towards the gate, with the gun pointed away from the group. The gun is not caught on a long peacefully. Exactly. It's not giving up its fight. So it's going to attempt to break, you think, to break out of the grapple that you've contained it in. So you're going to-- It's a contest of brawl and strength, which I can't imagine this gun has either. But it does, though. It apparently does. It has spiritual energy and spiritual strength. So do I. And while that's happening, Edgard, you were standing near the gateway. I know how I would start. You would just use your knife and struck the spectral knife into a doorframe. Behind you is the gate, from what you're facing. And I would like you to make a perception check, minus two dice, please. Yeah, Jay. Yeah, it would be brawl and strength contested roll. I'm going to spend a willpower. So I have a seven. Because brawl is two, strength is two, and willpower gets-- I don't see any minuses. That would really be applicable. So let's just go ahead and make a roll. Two. I believe when it is in your possession, it has to beat you in order to break free. It will do successes as well. So it twists. But you're able to, nimbly move your hands around it as it twists in your hands, and you spin your hands around and keep control of it and keep it contained. It makes a lunge, like the bottom of the gun, makes a lunge towards your stomach and gets you to let go. But the entire time, you're able to maintain control and keep it within your control. And you're backing away towards the group, you said? My back starts a group, but I'm moving towards them, but I'm holding the gun towards the wall. Got it. Which plus composure for perception? Yes, minus two dice. Four. Okay. Look, a success. Singular. A singular success. Is he the only one wrong? Four. A second, yes. Okay. I'm facing away from the gate. For what? Perception. You hear a creaking sound behind you. There's a little lull in the battle. The knife being rendered harmless. Jay, maybe in the background, kind of grunting with force, trying to contain the shotgun. And then you hear this creaking noise behind you. Okay. Turn around and look at it. Do you turn around slowly, or do you turn around quickly? Oh, come on. Is it suspense, man? Yes. I'm all about suspense. No, yeah, I'll turn around quickly. You spin around and you see what looks to be the lifeless body of the youngest girl who is Ruthie, who is now hanging. Her rope that was just shot by Daniel, which is no longer there, Daniel. The rope is now tied to the top of the arch, and she is hanging down from the arch with her neck in a noose, and she's swinging softly, and the rope is creaking behind you. Back and forth from side to side. Not through and back, but side to side almost exactly in the middle. So you're maybe a foot away from her when you turn around, and you see that ghastly visage. We're pretty much at eye level with you, if she's hanging from the innis. Dan, people. It's just spooky. I'm a combat situation. I don't know how thoroughly I'd go. I can do spooked while fighting ghost bullshit. On a scale of one to ten, probably a seven. What are you doing? I don't fucking know. Out of things. I am straight up out of things to do. I just arm the knife. Use your booty. Yeah. Use my booty. I'm a spirit. I can't call up other spirits. I don't have anything to offer. She's a ghost anyway. I really don't have anything to offer. Right. Let's follow the spirit. Can we go for the team? I'm more important than the back of the ghost knife. Really, I don't know what to do. I'm going to have to think about it. Okay, I think you kind of just get your turn in that sense or maybe just delay it if nothing else. He's like surprised and maybe thinking. Okay, chew. What kind of shotgun is it? Is it like pump action? It's a barrel direct action. I'm actually yelling that I need some help here. My phone's ringing. Somebody grab the gun or grab my phone. She has one way to. I mean, we're still dancing with the gun. I'm still dancing with the gun and according to the roles I have to roll each turn. To me, it seems like the shotgun is the greatest threat at this point in the room. It's not the hanging swing, Denver. She's down. She's hanging and swaying. She's fine. We shot everything to do with her. I'm a little confused while she's still here. Maybe she should shoot her. No, she did not shoot her. She still did. That's the one we didn't shoot. That is shooting her again. I'm going to head off to Jay because I think I might be able to assist him with the shotgun. Okay. You're fairly quick on your feet. So you were able to make the distance to Jay and what do you do at that point? You also grapple with the shotgun or... I'm going to... So it's a bolt action, loading shotgun. Break action. Break action? I have. Everyone say it's a break action because this thing is full. It's like from the 1860s. What is your intention to take the bullets out of the ghost action? Yeah, if it was pump action, there'd be no problem. But break action is a little more tricky. Yeah, I'm going to try to also join the grapple and try to uncock it. Okay, good. I'll say that you're joining the grapple. Let's go ahead and make a roll to try to disarm. I have a specialization in shotguns. So you don't know if that would help. Oh shit. So do I. What would you specialize in everything then? Well, weapons. Yeah, what does it do? This is a shotgun. Okay. You know how it works. You studied wrestling in shotgun with shotguns. This is going to be plus because it's already-- Oh yeah, absolutely. So tell me your dive bolt, please. Strength plus, we're off. Right, though. Oh, he's going to need it. Well, like, negatives too? Can you some blurt something out? Absolutely. All of it is. Put your handkerchief around it so it can't hit home. The hammer. Your ghost. Um, I don't have a handkerchief because I wasn't born in 1892. Blinding barbarians. Yes. Take your pocket square. You ghost sock. Get your fob watch. Anything. [LAUGHING] Turn off your sleeve. This is your pocket line, yeah. I like it. Okay, one dot. Um, yeah, so minus one. It's minus one? I do not have a skill in Brawl, so that's minus one. Yes. My strength is two and my shotgun gives me one. So it's two dice. And Jay had rolled two successes in his earlier grapple. I'm going to apply those two successes to you. So you now have four dice. Whoa. And you may risk or spend willpower if you so desire. I might need it to get in the same. So I'm going to save it. Okay. Roll away. Once it's sustained for the shotgun. So you are trying to disarm it by releasing the break, an action part of the shotgun. But your hand slips off of it because it was, you both had the same amount of successes. So you weren't able, I mean, you almost had it, but not quite. But you're there and you're also aiding Jay in holding the shotgun down. So from that perspective, it'll be helpful to contain it. Hey Jay, let's try to use this ghost shotgun on the ghost girl. That's the best I've heard tonight. I don't get to get it out of the way. You cut her down. Ethan with the shotgun. Shoot the rope on the gun. Shoot the rope with the... I saw this in a movie once. Oh, nice. The ceiling. How can I always use this? She's like... Wow, the rope is a pretty lengthy piece of rope. And it was a pretty high archway. It was supporting some of the gables that are pretty high in this area. Or they go up at a pretty steep angle. So I would say the archway in total is probably about three 12-foot tall. And the rope's tied off at the top and she's hanging down where literally her face is maybe five and a half, six feet off the ground. So roughly eye level for her. Her neck and sideways is obviously broken. And she's swaying there in the archway. Do you want me to cut her down? Someone, yes. All right, I'll cut her down. Probably isn't the right thing to do, but it's pretty logical. Ed Gardner might take you down Ethan at 10. Ethan, are you doing anything besides saying, yeah, you should really cut her down with that really sharp on the body. That's very respectful of you, doctor. Where are you making the cut? Put a hand on it and then go above that. Well, I felt like above her a little bit higher because her head level is at your head level. So you've wrapped it with your left hand, about maybe six and a half feet here. Bring your knife up to the rope. And you owe your roll weaponry for this? She opens her eyes and her mouth opens in possibly large and kind of like almost on hinges. And what you see instead of teeth are like almost like needles in her mouth. And she lunges towards your face. Do I get to apply defense? You do get to apply defense, although you may be surprised. I don't know how that works. Fair enough. With surprise, what you want to do is you want to make a perception check, I believe, and if you fail your perception check, you are surprised. Ethan, bad advice. I would like a second opinion. Ethan just knew at this, so you know, you're following him. Oh, they go shoulder and you kind of... What does he know? She's dead. Help her down. With plus composure. Whoa. And I'm going to say that you thought she was dead, but you're certainly on edge because this is a very, very, yeah, friction situation. So it's a straight up roll. Okay. No biases. I don't like it. I think you knew she was dead. She's a ghost. Well, I mean, yeah, I think she was dead. Why am I? I think he's ready for something. He was an idiot. Sorry, six guys, three successes. Okay, sorry. 8-9-10, re-roll the one of them, it was a three. Although you are surprised. You're not surprised. Right, my defense while carrying an eye physique. Eight. Good luck with that. Frigid bitch. So you get a 10 re-roll? Yes, this poor re-roll, it was a three. She's trying to eat my face. I sympathize with her death. I know it honestly. I'm on your team, buddy. She's trying to eat my soul. Do you think I care less about my soul? And she's going to go ahead with that. Okay. Did your old chance die? Yeah. Yes. You had her down to a chance die, although she-- Yeah, she rolled one. Your teeth fell out. Oh, no. That would have been really interesting if she would have rolled one. She rolled a five on her chance die. How absolutely pedestrian of little Ruthie. And she lunges towards you. Like, again, her jaw unhinges, her face elongates. It gets larger, like, almost, again, caricature-like against her body. And that huge maw just reaches out and tries to attack you. But you stumble backwards, blocking her advance so that she got a mouthful of knife, actually, as she attacked you. And you stumble back and you retain your knife. She almost pulls it out of your grasp. You hang out and do it. I don't like stabbing children. Daniel, shoot this child. Wait, there's a child in the room? Good click. It's not what I meant. I hadn't noticed it yet. But that's what the sister told me. Yes. If she were there. Or the news, you know, cover your bases. I'm going to shoot Nusses. He asked me to take his phone out of his pocket. I'm good at that. Oh, so you want to run away? Yeah. Okay, I-- I got the phone. Sure ghost of a ghost. Ethan, you had simply said cut the child down. I don't want to just completely skip your turn, because you have an action. You have movement available to you. There was something more that you wanted to do in your moment. I think I'm about to have a movement. Right. That's good. Something else I just think I gave them back up a little bit. Right. I stumbled back up at them. Okay, ghost children. This is my first comment. It's pretty subtle. First rodeo. Absolutely. Okay, that takes us to Daniel at six, who spins around, faces the attacking ghost child. And we switch. So I think we left where Theodore was exactly. I showed you that he was upset. And then I showed him that thing. And then you called it. Right. Well, he says, man, that's still cheating. I have to sign. And if you want to play a game with me, we should play marbles. And the girls are like, oh god marbles again. And he's like, I want to play marbles. No one ever plays marbles with you when you're dead. Not funny, they don't play marbles with you when you die. I haven't had anyone play marbles with, if you want to be friends, you need to play marbles with me. Hell is a line without me. And I think you should have your friend play too. How come he can't see us? Because he's not like me, buddy. But the thing is, it might, what do you say it was cheating? Yeah, it was cheating. You might consider it cheating. But I can't let you look into it. I don't want to see it. I want to, are you not listening? You don't understand marbles. But you don't understand. What don't I understand? If I were to let you look into it, bad things would happen. I would love to play marbles with you. Go study marbles. But I can't right now. Why? Because we made a deal. One game, and then you guys were going to go downstairs. But you cheated. Do you play the game? Yeah, but then you cheated. I didn't cheat, buddy. I'm trying to protect you. Says you. I don't even know who you are. Okay, new deal. Do you play game marbles with me? And if you win, what do you want us to do? Play another game? I want you to go downstairs. But I don't have time to play no game right now. Why? Because I need to be up here alone. Because I don't want anything bad to happen to you guys. This is my room, man. Not yours. I know it's your room, buddy. And you're not made. And you're not even the deadmate. I want you to stand here. Bad things are going to happen. Well, I think I can handle myself. I've been dead for lots of years now. And I'm dead. Why don't you hurt me? Why don't you trust me? Because you lie. I don't trust liars. I didn't lie to you. I protected you. Why don't you trust me? So, like, adult. You think I'm an adult? Yeah. Do I look like an adult? Yeah. You're an old. How old is this? He's probably, like, a very young 12. 12? Mm-hmm. But a sheltered 12. So to you, you're... How old did I get? 12. You're sick. But you're earlier, 19. I have no idea. I have no idea. We're going to say you're 15, 16. But you're old. You're old for your age. Because you're from a different era. So you have that number. And then we're going to drink circular alcohol in 1935. No problem. And also then make up you. Where? Right. All that gas stuff. Pussy. I have no time to play no games. You don't have time to not to play marbles. And bring him. Look at him. He looks nice. He hasn't lied yet. How about this? My friend over there loves playing marbles. Don't you love playing marbles? Yes. I love playing marbles. I don't have marbles. She should have a marbles. Oh. He loves me. I've got all kinds of marbles here. I mean, I'm playing along with her, which he said. But I don't... I'm just trying not to understand the content. And I'm only listening to what she said. Right. I didn't... Right. Okay. Playing it well. Yeah. I got marbles. Let's play. I have it. He wants to play. How about you go downstairs with him and play marbles? This is my room. Why don't you go find your own room? I can't. I need this room. Why? It's my room. I need that door. Behind you. What door? The gate? The glowy thing? Yeah. It's kind of your room. Yes. I can't see that our chair, right? No. I mean, you can see an archway. A wooden archway. We're adding up the gables. But you cannot see the archway. Right. Okay. Right. For so much? It just looks like a wooden archway to you. Well, what do you know about the archway? Well, I know that sometimes things can come through it. That it was put here by a man who didn't belong here. And that's why I'm not leaving my room again. Because he tricked me and I went away. And then there's this weird glowing arch in my room. And now I can't even sleep. Why did this man look like? He glowed a lot. He's very hard to look at. Very bright. How did he trick you? He told me that if I left the room sound familiar? Yeah. Right. So if I left the room that my sister's and I would be given a lot of toys to play with. And then he just left. No toys. Do you have any toys? No toys. And he didn't obviously even play marbles with me. And all I want to do is play marbles. And you won't go play marbles with my friend? Well, I will play marbles with my friend. But in my room. The only way that you will leave this bedroom is if I play marbles with you. Well, no. The only way I leave this room is if you play marbles with me. Reach you will. Reach you all because I'm like the best marble player in the world. The dead world. I don't want to play marbles with this freaking kid. Damn. Life is not hard. Life is fucking hard. I'm imagining this as a movie. You have the action scene where we're rolling on the ground. Gun, ghost guns are shooting into the scene. And then you go back to the other scene where it's sitting on the couch. How does this make you feel? By the way, all I do play marbles with you. You hear that, trying to get exactly this. Well, she is also talking. I'm also trying to kind of keep an ear open either for any of the conversation she's having. But if I hear anyone moving through this old house, which if there were people coming up the stairs or into the attic, because we've kind of broken and entered into this house. Right. I think I would hear somebody moving. At least I assume. Right, you would. Okay. You see her kind of stop talking to the child there. You see, like tell them like this. Where she is too many ways. There's a change. When you say a change, what do you mean? Does she stop with him? She stiffens a bit, she seems to be like, she cuts her head almost look like an owl. Is she looking at me or look sideways? It's very subtle. So if you get anything else to look at, you wouldn't have heard her. I know, but you wouldn't have probably noticed it. But because there's one little beam of light in this dark attic of hellish ghost that you know are about ready to maybe come into existence and scare a little bit shit out of you. You're just basically focusing every ounce of energy on her. And you notice that she tightens. I got up a little bit. And then again, like cuts her head almost a little bit to the side. Like she's thinking or trying to hear something. You were listening intently because now it's just dead silence. Absolute dead because she's not talking. So there's nothing. And she even stopped breathing for a second. She like held her breath. And you're listening and you don't hear anything moving in the house. She still has the talisman, right? Yes, she still has it. Theo, I'm going to play marbles with you. Dr. Clay, you should go downstairs. And wait for me. We're going to play a game of marbles. Theo, you and I are going to play together. Right. How about I go? You should go downstairs. And wait. She seems to be like giving you a message within a message that you're very much capable of detecting. Almost as if she's trying to perhaps, because you're very observant, protect you. Okay, so I say, okay, Grace, and I kind of have my gun. And you know, like all right, I'll back out of room. And one of the probably the creepiest walks of your entire life is walking across the attic boards through these bedrooms of these murdered children. And leaving Grace in what little pool of light that you had with your flashlight, but leaving her behind in that complete darkness as your flashlight cuts a pathway back to the trap door leading to the relative safety of... Yeah, boss, I don't know what happened to her. She was fine when I left her. She wanted to play marbles, so I'm good. And then I'm going to address the other two. I'm going to go to the door. However, I will get to the trap door, the attic stairs, and go down. I'm just to leave the room that she's in or, because I remember there's like three rooms, right? There was three different like oddly shaped rooms that filling up the entire, the entirety of this attic, of this mansion. So you get to the third room, flashlight comes around, you kind of look through the room, you see the news hanging, and you see a child's bed, and you see a row of dolls, which you remember Grace talking about dolls to one of the gross children that you assumed that she's talking to. All of a sudden, I'll look at them here. Absolutely. Like they're hesitating. Right, absolutely. I hate that. Yeah, I mean, and they're all because this is 50 years after these children died, even though it's 1935, or whatever the case might be. So there's a physical rope there? There's a physical rope there. All right, the time is of the essence. I get the gather, so I'm going to go look down the stairs, make sure there's no one kind of lurking there. I'll take one last look at Grace. And she probably looks very rarely see her, because of the distance through three rooms with your flashlight. We could barely illuminate her, but you see her kind of bending over a little bit like she's talking to children, and talking into the darkness, but you can't hear her. All right, then I will descend the stairs. Okay. And where in the house are you going to go to? I'm going to wait at the bottom of the stairs. Okay, so you're on what amounts to the third floor? First of all, I want to check the hall to see what-- No, I understand. Nothing untoward is happening. There's no movement. No doors are open that weren't open. No doors are closed that weren't closed before. Everything is-- Ten years of history has been explained right here. Okay, then I'm going to have my wedding. I'm going to have my knife, and I'm going to be on the stairs listening as well as I can, but not in the attic, because she told me to get out of the attic. Okay. So you don't close the trap door. You leave it open, yes, to the attic, and that's where we'll leave you. Okay. We'll take it back to you, which is you're with three ghost children now. When this happened, you saw in your distracting, because it was so strong and so violent, you saw Theo look at you, like he's looking at you differently than he was looking at you before. He seems very confused. He's like, what was that? What was that, Theo? There was something else there. What do you mean? You were-- There was like-- It was like there were two of you. Theo, I tried to protect you, and you didn't want to leave, and then I'm going to just go ahead. Okay, you need to read up on that. Okay. No marbles for you? Most intense. You know marbles ever. Worst marbles. Abba. Daniel, you spin around with the gun at this point, singing merrily in your ear. Shoot, shoot, shoot. There's another child that needs to be released to the afterlife. Shoot! This definitely how it works, by the way. That gun never lies. Okay. There's a gun I could shoot. I'd rather shoot that. There's a gun that-- Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, you were doing that. You were spinning around, but Edgar, getting you run up to-- Jaze and-- You want us to get the phone? Nobody got the phone. Jaze wanted us to get his phone. Yeah, so it actually happens to-- As Daniel's spinning around to shoot, you run up to where Chew and J are rustling with this old-styled shotgun, and you reach into Jaze's pocket and grab his phone. So you pick up the phone, and it's, again, white, and it's got a sense of translucence to it, but it is definitely vibrating, and it definitely says swipe, and there's a direction arrow showing to where you should swipe. Okay, I read his text. This text says, J, come up. Don't be a jettadush, period. You have to go full-on ghost mode to avoid my calls. Period. What the hell is going on? Period. Binary hex. Or sit down comfortably in the corner, or all of this shit goes down. I write you a fucking text. No. It probably doesn't have a speech to text. Oh, yeah, absolutely has speech to text. We're in ghost on ghost combat. It's really hot. Come join us. Okay. And that takes us to Daniel, who spins around. You catch the paper trail of Edgarn weaving the position of being attacked by this ghost child, and as he dashed over to where Jay was, you've got Ethan stumbling back towards you, who is in your line of sight, and it's the only person who's between you and the very angry looking ghost child. Who's between me and this child? Ethan stumbling backwards like what the fuck, because he has never seen an angry ghost child. I've seen enough. They all died the same. You have. Yes, they do. And they should die now. Okay. I'll hit the gun. There we go. Close and personal, it's not so easy, is it? Am I within grabbing distance? No, I'm going to say you're about eight or nine feet away, so you're just beyond where she could try to use your defense. So give me your guy, please. Bye, guys. Well, you're small power. I'm going to say that because, no, if it had just been the child swaying there and you were going to shoot the child, I would give you a minus just for, just for ethical, but it literally has like shark teeth and this incredible angry demeanor. So let's go ahead and have you just roll your eight dice. I want to track it any because you're shooting a gun that's made for this purpose. Well, again, just singing platitude in your ear about how you're doing the right thing, the moral thing, killing children is good. All right. It's not really a evil gun. I've got three successes. Once my damage multiplier of five is eight. Eight damage, which is very impressive. And there's no nice way to describe it. Basically move your head from your body with your shot. It just absolutely, with its energy, it's the theory of energy just rips through her skull and it just... I think I dropped the gun at this point. Okay. And she crumbles to the ground, obviously, because she's now, there is no head to pull in the noose. Yeah. And she crumbles to the ground and then dissipates into a swirl of a theory of nothingness. The roll dissipates as well. Okay. I kicked that gun down the hole. Do you? Yes. You said you wanted to drop the gun. Interesting. That'll happen next turn, potentially, because it's an action to drop the gun and you shot. That takes us back to Jay. Jay, you are obviously wrestling with the shotgun and you just felt Edgar come up his presence and say, I'm grabbing this and you took the phone and then he's like, fucking bi. Anyway, how can you hear him? Talking back to him like we're in the middle of something. If he's got any way to trigger this game, fucking trigger it. Okay. Keep that in mind. And you go ahead and make your roll plus two dice, Jay, because of choose helplessness. The contest occurs only once per turn and happens during the person with the highest initiative. Right. So that would be you. Okay. You can choose to try to remove any type of rounds from the gun like you saw Chiu doing. You could try to damage the gun. You could try just to hold it to your choice at this point of what you're trying to do. You heard the rifle go off beyond you again, meaning Daniel, so you know something's going down behind you. You might have caught pieces, maybe looked around backwards really quick, you know, shot at the plant. So I don't think you're unaware that another threat has been seemingly. Again, I'm trying to move towards the gate. Okay. So that if it ever activates, we can get the hell out of here. Sure. I'm trying to control the weapon, which is a grappling option. If I can, I'm just shooting again and again into the ceiling because it's got to have a limited number of bullets. Pork, not maybe. Right. Fucking ghost gun. Okay. So I have a four total dice set and Chiu's giving me two sides. Well, what I'd like to do is actually have two roll. Okay. Any successes he gets adds to your rifle. I think it's just a better way to handle that. Actually, you're also getting your weight a little bit. Unintentionally. Same rolls last time? Yes. I mean, this is a very, I mean, I might be underplaying it, but this is a very powerful ghostly weapon that is just actually fucking back and forth and trying to sling it upside the head with the butt of its stock. I will spend a willpower. So go ahead and roll your five dice then, please. One success. One success. Okay. So he has one guy to your roll, which was four. One is five. Are you spending any willpower? No. Okay. Go ahead. Make your roll. Ghost guns. And that's what's actually one success. As did I. So your figure keeps slipping off the trigger as you almost have it and it kind of bucks and nails you in the shoulder and you stagger backwards, but you are moving it backwards towards the gate. I would say at this point with grapple and kind of walking, staggering backwards, probably at least halfway there, if not closer. We'll go through the initiative one more time. So that was Jay. Let's go ahead and look at Chue 12. Chue, you helped, you staggered. You did the idea that Jay wants you to move it backwards towards rest of the group. So you go ahead and do that. After Chue, we have Ethan and Edgard both tied. Dr. Ethan. Ethan's ready to flee, but he's not sure where. So he's going to test the gate again by thrusting the difference cubes through. But this is armed. Right. And it still goes through and your arm doesn't disappear. As much as it seems very odd to say that you'd like your arm to disappear, it does not. And you're saying that that? Bloody hell. Got a new response from binary hexion. You do get a response back saying, where were you guys? I was looking for you for the last four days. Where have you been? And why the hell are you incorporeal? How do you know that? Uh, we've been in the past. We're going back. Good luck finding us there. You already did. You sent us a telegram. Isn't time travel fun? He responds with what the fuck are you talking about? And that's the end of your return. Same to cover itself. Yes, he does. Daniel, the gun is absolutely just ringing with clarity of speech. And it's telling you that this is fantastic. Can you slave these ghosts? It's wonderful. But there's still a shotgun. Take this shot. The shotgun is a threat to the rest of your party. You need to shoot it. Doesn't matter if there's anyone hanging onto it. You're that good. You know what? No, I'm that good. You're not going to miss. Take out that shotgun before someone gets hurt. Did he get a whiff of power? Yeah, I did. Oh, absolutely. I just assume he knew that because it's been a given. But thank you for reminding me. All right, I have long go reached a breaking point for this. Breaking break? Yes, a breaking break. We're going to roll for that later. Okay. But right now I'm throwing the rifle down and kicking it across the floor. What's your resolve plus your composure? Five does. How many children have you killed today? I didn't kill it, it's there a ghost. I don't know. I'm sorry. How many ghost children have you killed today? Three, yeah. We have three dice bullets. Well, that's three willpower. There we go. And I risk, of course. I'm risking everything here. You're risking? Yes. Okay. You also do to the absolute magical energies flowing through you from the gun and the feeling of power. And obviously it's doing something. To convince you that you are just absolutely fantastic. You're going to be removing another two dice from your roll. And you're making a contested roll against the gun who says, you will keep holding me. And we will work together to shoot that very dangerous looking shotgun out of the hands of your squad leader. How could you think about getting up at a time like this when everything is on the line? Are we nice? Three. We're good. Why did I roll a shit? I got a success. It got a success. You have to beat it. However, it can't compel you to do something that you don't want to do. So you go, I'm throwing you down, man. And it says, I'm not even out. You're shooting. And you say, no, I'm not. And so you're at a standstill as you're holding the gun. And you're in a mental flight right now for your very soul as the gun is very much attempting to convince you to take that million dollar shot. That's what we did this week. I would say these scenes that are happening right now are the culmination. And then we are going to be a very obvious breaking point. Nothing to be in terms but in story terms. When it's resolved, when it's done. Thank you for listening tonight's of the night's actual play podcast. Rachel playing Silver Bell or Grace Rockman, angsty, angry, time-slipping teenager. Food's doing jazz hands while she's saying it. It's full jazz hands. I don't know what else to like, slick throughout person. Yeah, I guess it's a tough one. Scarred. Scarred. Scarred. Scarred teenager. Oh, scarred. Literally scarred. Literally scarred. Like, saw last week with scarred teenager. Slash throat. Right. Maybe Dr. Clay can't want to get back. Talking of the kids and- So they were these ghost children up in the attic and I was trying to get them to leave. And the one he got like mad at me because one of the ghosts tried to look into my soul, I guess, or something like that. And he couldn't see anything. Um, and he got mad and- Michael got mad. No, the ghost got mad. And so I appeased him by, um, showing him why he couldn't look into my soul. Pulled my turtleneck down and there was a really deep, like, scarred from where my throat had been slit. I am not able to perceive all what's going on. So I'm holding you like a one-sided conversation. Could you perceive the scar? Is it a physical perspective? I was able to see her. He should see the ghost children in 1935. All right. Because she is looking into a- Almost like a dimension, if you will, that- That we're currently residing in. Yeah, you're currently residing in a later date called "widelight", which is where ghosts appear and where they live. And she can see into the toilet. And she can see into "widelight". She can see into "widelight". She can see into "widelight". Um, he cannot- Of a witch. Barnard. Just cover all your bases. Probably with two menion nuke. They got butter. She had a magical little- It was a cameo. They covered the scar. I don't know what- Well, yeah, there was a cameo necklace from a black lace thing. And my turtleneck. But when I pulled it down and put it up, you could see it. Yeah, no. No wonder theater looks- Did you ever look up the Franklin Castle on, like, Wikipedia? The um- I didn't want to spoil it. It's not really much of a spoiler. It's not that interesting. Jay's not all that knowledgeable. You know, if I was theater, I'd be upset too. Because that- That little- Crew chief? Well, I was thinking ask how to- All right, this is just downright embarrassing. See, he died like 18, 70s. He's the product of the times. Give the kid a break. It was the- What everybody was wearing. Right. I'm pretty sure- Dead children? Mike? There you go. Oh, that's what it's going on. And always- Always a pleasant treat. Yeah, somebody punched him in the eyes. Well, if I was wearing that little cravat- That's what I'm saying. Yeah, maybe it is just about- The orders are pissed off, little ghost. He's very, very angry. [Laughs] That's photoshopped. Whoa, how can you tell us the pixels? It's for real. Can't see this. Oh, I've seen it in here. Yeah, I've seen it in here. He's- Yeah, very familiar. I know what they look like. They're not around anymore. We don't have to look at them. We shot them with those clothes. All right, because they left, right? They're gone. Permanent and lies. They're not gone. You'd like them to be gone? Yes. You made a deal. They're gone. Oh, a ghost? Oh, no, no. That's right. They're gone. Did you shake hands on it? Oh, okay. Those are fucking mistake. They're gone. You gotta shake ghost hands. And presumably discharge. So, um- I like to think of it as man handling the gun, because I was in control, clearly. Well, you get that discharge on your controls. All right. Or adults. Is there a spirit in front of these attributes? No, sir. I'm a religious man. Oh, Jay. I fucked you up. Or did you just say discharge again? No, I steered totally clear with it. Daniel is maybe 10 feet in front of you, with his shotgun poise, and he had just shot the- This is a rifle, yeah. No, I'm sorry, rifle. Not shotgun. So, ahead of you was- No, he never shot her. Shut up, Jay. Russell the fucking shotgun. I might be able to do something- Word police! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to specifics. But you could obviously see that there is a cell phone vibrating in this pocket. Put your nose back and wish I didn't see that. Right. It's a vision you won't super get. If it's important, they'll leave a message. Okay. So, he grabs- Is that a logic you can trust in this space world? Sorry, it goes- Oh. Shotgun or phone? I think I'll take care of the shots. That's true. Bless you. I didn't think you were one- Who's using the logic now? Does Jay have a firm grip on it? Yes. Okay. Break action is older, isn't it? Yeah. Okay. That's why I'm not going to get break action for sure. Go ahead, mister. My question. My question. Just as a listener. Has it already fired? No. Okay. Yes. Oh, yes. Although, what happened to be it's targeted? I'm pretty sure it's fired. No, I meant- I'm sorry. It didn't- Fire at you when Jay had first grabbed it and wrestled it upward. Right. Okay. Fire into the ceiling. It's only on one more shot. I mean, it's- A shot does do. It's an end, and it goes- So, I'm not sure if it has unlimited ammo, but I'm just saying it here. Might have only one shot, so- Something to take one for the team, and it goes, okay. So, it's double barrel pump action and one barrel fired or ball? Break action. Break action. Break action. Break action. Break action and- One long. One long. Single barrel. Hard to tell, but it looked like- It sounded like one shot, not two. Well, you want to impart some ghostly wisdom. Feel free to tell them to the fucking future. It's about 80 years from the past. If someone would be kind enough to get me the basic book, I'll look that up while you're getting your diet core rate, kind of. I'm sure it's- Just right in the index here. Well, it's actually in the front of the- I think it's under death and dying. She can't really lunge, though, can she? Oh, she can lunge. She's a ghost. She can flow out on her. Oh, okay, hang on. That's one. It's rude to keep going. Did you actually find it? Oh, nice. It actually works. Actually, it wasn't. Yeah. Yay. Hey, it was dark this way to go with having something in your index. All those ones. Which is composure. You kind of know that you're cutting down a girl who's dead again. So, you know what's going to happen? Right. Redid. Three dice. Three dice. Explain to me how your defense got to eight, please. I think- I don't remember. It's lowest of decks of wits, which is four, plus athletics, which is one, so five. And then I have a stunt called defensive- Was that a combat? Merit. Wrong system. Yeah, I have a merit called defensive combat, which I can't fucking find in the regular books. I'm pretty sure it's the green binder, which is missing. Dad's using it for grappling. Yes. Which is a compost-giving defensive combat. Here's your plus three. Plus three. That is, the math works out. I might have done one wrong, and accidentally used decks instead of wits, in which case it would be seven. Right. So, it's out of the seven or eight. Okay, I'm going to assume that that explanation is correct for the moment. Defensive combat says you can use weaponry as your defense. Oh, that explains it then. I have three skill and one would be the three. Right. So, you are just amazingly defensive with your knife. Whenever I have it up. Right. And, luckily, this is the case where you did. You should get him to, I mean, to say. Yeah, no, believe me. Believe me, he'll have plenty to do. Oh, not just last time. And it's been about a long time since he did that. I know, it's just been, yes, I appreciate it. But there's, I mean, the conditions were in. There's nothing, oh, I can't see anything you're doing. Oh, trust me. Michael, Clay, stand behind you. Just got to get real. Who is it? Who are you talking to? How many are there? What are they look like? What's going on? What'd you say that for? What's going on? I don't think he said that. I think he said that all day. He's quietly observing, I think. That was more what a doc, maybe Dr. Clay would do. He's quietly and then maybe a quick aside of a word or two. Saying, you know, who are you talking to? Which one are you going to interrupting? No, he's doing the right thing. Okay. That's what I would be doing. How'd you do? I do not realize that I can't do that. Marbles. You can play marbles. Oh, I'll teach you. See you. Clay's a mechanic. Just tell me about the rabbits. Are we changing? I can't do. Excuse us for one second please. Are we changing this? Boop-a-doop-boop. You never do. You never do. He is. I'm gonna have to put that on today. That's it. It's just like... Oh, wait. I want to steal the phone from your pocket. I don't know what to steal. It should. I don't know if you've ever seen a Game of Thrones. I mean, he's picked on it though. He's like the most annoying character ever. He looks like a dog. Swell, Brack, Dick. He just says he does it really well. This is your little brother's character in every game ever. Is that pretty good series? Yeah, it's good. It's very good. I've heard it's also extremely graphic and pretty violent. Crituitist. Lot of rape. Lot of sex. Lot of movies. Which channel is it on? HBO. Oh. Certainly I've did a very funny thing where they have the writer who's trying to tell the story and then the producers bring in two 12 year old boys. And so you're having this political, this complex drama. And then put both of these in it. It was a pretty funny little sketch about it. But I hadn't seen any of it. There was one, I think it was college humor. And one of those YouTube things where they're like, I'm wondering if the book had his mouth supposed to. So yeah, well, you see he bends me over and then he takes me from behind and then he reaches around and he's going on. And she's like, you're in a porno? No, no. It's HBO. Oh, congratulations, honey. What the hell's the difference? No, that's... You know, sometimes you wonder like, you know, that, I mean, it's acting, but it's the same kind of like... At what point do you draw one? What's the difference? What is cinema score? It's cinema score. I'm not saying it's working out later, I'm not even sure. One has better background. It's similar. Yeah, actually it's a plot. Every week it's got to have some, you know, multiple murders and sex scenes. Right. Outland? Yeah. Did anyone look at Daredevil? I watched all of them. I watched two episodes. I watched the second episode. I watched the second episode. I watched three episodes. Isn't that always, you know, just amazing by stuff? Barb was not impressed with it. She's like, I kind of wet and got snacks and came back. It took forever. But, kind of the point. Yes, definitely well. What scene? There was a fight in a hallway and it was one gigantic, long cut and he was exhausted and he fought like he was exhausted. It just did what I did for it. I don't know, I, when he, I wouldn't see it, right? It was great for it. That scene, so. It was just that the thing where he goes and rests and I'm here to take you back to your dad and he's walking out for him and boy. And a little touch that I thought was really awesome is the boy looking forward to. He doesn't see everything, obviously, but the boy is looking around at these are the people that have been tormenting and whatever. And then just, I thought that was just our, just our warm wind and the cinema. That's so funny. See the child is saved from peril. Yeah, of course he was saving the songs. At the end of the first one where the kid, he was kidding that Barb was like, "I don't think I like this show." She was like, "You know what I'm saying?" Yeah, but it's. Said that by walking dad too, right? Yeah. I hadn't watched any walking dad. We can't get behind the zombies. They're not zombies. I'm actually scared from the first episode. And that's obvious. They're walkers. They never say the word zombie. Yeah, that's a. What's that zombie show about? Zombie is acting. You like stomach zombies. She's fucked. The main character is a medical student. She's a zombie. When she eats brain, she kind of absorbs some of the memory of the person she ate. So she's helping an detective. So it's a detective type show. Like, "Push it up, Daisy." Yeah. But not. We just have to find a reason every episode for it eat brains. She's a zombie. She has to eat brains. She ate them too. Because they have an ecology? Yes. She works in a morgue, so. Does she have pod zombies? That's a convenient job for her. I don't have a zombie. Wow. That's not the only zombie sex I ever want to see. Is that different for me? Actually, pretty much all zombie sex I don't ever want to see. I don't, I think it is. It goes weird all sex those zombies. I think zombie sex is different than neck of neck work. Now, I can't say it. For me it was awesome. What are you talking about? That was how it was. Dead on dead action. Okay. I was going to say it. Animated too. Animated. Dead on dead action. Just what? I've never wanted. And then mutually consenting. It's... They're dead. Oh yeah. That would be consent to anything after dead. They're not dead. They're... Unded. Unded. It's different. Not in the eyes of the lower bed, isn't it? Everything just walkers. I think sometimes when they use the... I'm reading something right now. They kind of use the description that you know, neither dead nor alive. Instead of, they won't say undead. But I always thought that was kind of interesting where they try to... It's like shortening your cat. You don't know what it is, but you can still experience it, but it's neither... You're neither alive nor dead, but you are anyway. I'm sorry. I was going to insult you back a lot. Back in the scene. But you should have. She looks so happy. Yeah. It's not going the way she had wanted it to go. A bit surprised. Has anything we ever did to get her down the way we... However, as we wrestle with, again, I was gone and then... That's what I mean is Dr. Clay. Dr. Clay. Dr. Clay. Yeah, I have your little character. No, I'm sorry, I don't know where you're going. Dr. Clay. Or Michael. Because his name's Michael Clay. And maybe you call Michael because you're sober, Reverend. We'd never call him by his proper name. Because you know, you're angsty. Go ahead. Okay. No marbles for you. Most intense. You know marbles ever. Worst marbles. Appa. Jay. That's it. Comma. And then I think I'm going to probably call it there because I want to come up with something really interesting for that. Because there's... Right. There's nothing. Told you you were rewriting. I was not rewriting. It's in there. Um, I mean, that books like 400 pages. So it's got to be somewhere. Rip it up. No, you're dead. Where are you? You have died a long time ago. A double death. We're not looking for the breaking points. Oh, no, no, no. Okay, good. Because I don't have them written down anymore. You're not going to find them. I did. But I'm just rolling all quiet. I do. On page nine. All right, you're rolling for me. I take it. No, you're rolling. Oh, good. We need to discuss with you again, uh, veils and, um, what were they called? You want to address them? No, no. Actual, uh, it's in, it's a game term that they use. There are certain things in game that people don't like to deal with. Like rape, for instance. And if someone has a problem with it, you should include it in the game. Oh, that's, um, social contract. Well, yeah, but there's an actual name for it. Veils and... I didn't know that there was a name for it. A game? Well, sort of. I think somebody made it up, but I think people, well, that's what every word is, isn't it? Well, it is. But, when he's saying it's natural, turn, yes. Because you seem to have forgotten that Mike doesn't like children and you're, well, that's, well, they're ghosts. I'm sorry, but that's bullshit. Having a child hanging out of news with someone who has a problem with violence towards children, that's pretty graphic. And just, oh, you can get from my grandmother, but that's what you're asking. I'm just sucking up and deal with it, isn't that quite the right thing? No, Mike is uncomfortable. And he's very happy to. And Scott sometimes doesn't pick up on those subtle clues. Like, when I was listening to the dress in the city bill, then he kept saying, "God is dead." I remember about this. And Mike goes, "Uh, and, and I say, how about, yeah, you know, God is not in Cleveland." And Scott's like, "No, God is dead." Okay. Bad touches. It's not even a subtle clue, Scott. It's really bugging mine. Well, if it bugs me that bad, I wouldn't think of it. I mean, I do have the power to leave. I absolutely do. I promise you, Mike, the very next day, will have no children in peril. The next story, for real. You say that. For real. It's true. No children. It's true. It's true, but, you know, it's been... Not intentional. For a decade, it's been two stories in a row. I don't think children had too many children in peril. Except for still a little. She went, "Sorry, shit, look, shit, look, you ready." I don't think shit like it too many. Eggs and spams doesn't have much spams. What? You meant to say that. This is a really cool ride. You want to say that too, children? Just put it in there. It's actually done for me. I don't know what she had too. That's right. Is that recorded? I don't know what she was. Yeah, I don't care. That's what it is. Thresholds and veils. Well, it's preserved. Dinosaur shit. Certain things are bothered. They're both... Those are both... Petrified. It's petrified down here. Well, they are. If we're... Probably a geode. What they're like, some people actually have a card on that they give each player, it's got an accent and they can go like, "Okay, we're getting the host of stuff that's making me really, really unhappy." If we're on... Just kidding. I'm not saying J-M-A. You know how to beat yourself. I was trying to think about that. Just stopping you just. For them. Unless it's Saturday, then... Alright. At the stranger jumps. Well, you're talking about actors in their art. Only characters in their show. Fuck off. So it just seems as well... I don't know if that's good. The binary hex is a person, because we don't even know if he's a real human or what. But if he was... If he had a real human person being binary hex, in the game, what actor would play him? Because he'd never even seen him. So, I mean, if I had something for him, Mr. Universe from Serenity. Why don't you guys have him as the guy from the interview? Nah, that's a good one. That would be my turn. That's just the picture. That's like his chat profile picture? He was in the movie, not even a movie. Wasn't it a very serious movie? Yeah.
