Is it possible that Storyteller Scott is being nice and letting the group heal up? You have listened to this podcast before – haven’t you?

[Music] Hello and welcome to Nights at the Night actual play podcast. This world of darkness story, The Sin Eater, was written and run by your storyteller Scott. And now, please enjoy episode 201, titled "Satan did it better, actual play begins 12 minutes, 37 seconds." [Music] Because of the late release of episode 200, sorry to all listeners out there, dammit. The 200 episode, you told me. I did post on Facebook saying, "Hey, don't get excited. It's late. I'm not editing a video here. There is no musical episode, there is no... What do you want to have to do? We're people thinking about that. We're going to have that at 225, we're going to have to use a joke. Mike wants to sing, so we'll have to give him his moment. And dance! [Laughter] So, anyways, I wanted to adjust expectations for episode 200. There was a picture over there, there was a picture over there. Awesome. So, there are some comments from that, but we had an email from Schimmenbeg, who was providing feedback on episode 165. He said, "Hi, KOTN crew. I thought I sensed this a while back, but apparently Insademy draft folder while I moved consonants." Never done that. Oops, sorry. Yeah, who hasn't done that? Just listening to your listener question segments from 165. I believe that was Numenera, by the way. I would say that's almost like Numenera. Yeah, it's been a fun adventure, and I really enjoyed both the group's feedback and the listener's feedback sections. I wish more podcasts would set aside time for out-of-character commentary and discussion, because personally, I think it's invaluable to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the game as played, and highlight reoccurring points of interest and long-term development, like how easily you grow into a character or absorb the system. Also learning more about the group's personal preferences and opinions is always useful for interpreting what you hear during play, as it might apply to the listener. I had a couple of things I wanted to mention based on the things you brought up this session. It's another hack, but a friend of mine had what I thought was a solid suggestion if you people are unhappy about spending XP on re-rolls. The idea we ended up with was that instead of either/or, you turn it into a process. XP can't be spent directly to level up at all, but only on re-rolls or other short, long-term enhancements. What you do is keep track of the XP spent, and then each 4x XP would allow you want increment. That's kind of an interesting idea. So essentially, you gain experience by adventuring, but you increase your abilities through actually applying the experience in-game for an in-game benefit, rather than spending on mechanical level ups. It's kind of double-dipping, but a little bit interesting though. It's like when you use the experience to do cool shit, you're going to beat. You're going to beat? Yes, don't. Don't take a beat. Don't make me edit that out. Personally, I don't think I found a major issue. I just interpreted it as a game with a slow-leveling curve, where every group decides whether they want to focus on short-term success through re-rolls or accept some short-term failure by improving their ability in the long run. Around 49 minutes, Scott, I think, takes issue with the GM intrusion because they are essentially legitimizing assholery. What? What a sentence. Does that trick, quote? Yes. Actually, I read that correctly. No, I mean, Scott really saying... Assholery? I don't think Scott said assholery. Asswords, I sometimes say, but not. It's not too often. What he's saying is that the GM intrusions are rules that allow you to be an asshole. I would never have said that. You did say that. Are you sure? To go back and listen. I'm pretty sure. Because I generally like to cause you more stress and strife in difficulties in your games. It sounds like something that... I don't know. Someone who doesn't want to stress. Well, it might have been something that maybe... I don't know. Mike might have said. No, I think I might have said that the rules as constructed are like, "Okay, now the GM gets to get an asshole and you get an extra point for it." Yeah, it doesn't sound like something I'd say, but I could see where he's coming from. But as I think we did talk about... I never said assholery. I think we did talk about how the GM intrusion is already skewing any event in the game against the players no matter what. It does sound like you. It does statement that you made. Seriously, it wasn't me. Anything I could do to throw a rent plan out of a four. But you wouldn't have said assholery. I'm sorry, John. We can't give anybody credit for assholery except for, apparently, just sir. If I did it, I would confess because I can't tell them why. I can't tell them why. I can't tell them why. I can't get you on school, girl. That was just a school child. Okay, right. Now, it's a girl. Wow. Anyways, to return to the email, I agree with this. And in general, I feel like it's something fate handles better. This will be a tangent, but it reminds me of a paper called "A Fine Is a Price." Of course. Yes, a fine. If I do that too. Like, F-I-N-E? A fine is a price about charging for late pickups from a nursery. Like trees are sitting with them. I think it's going somewhere. Sure, there's a reason. Here's the term long, didn't it? Introduces charges actually increase late pickups. Oh, I actually remember reading about this, or hearing about it at NPR. Because psychologically, it turns an embarrassing social blunder that took advantage of the staff into transactions like any service you would pay for once this has kicked off. The behavior continues even when the charges were dropped. I feel like the GM intrusion makes an annoying thing to the players into a transaction, and I worry about it having similar results. On top of that, the GM is paying from his bottomless wallets while the players have to pay to reject the intrusion, effectively costing three XP, one paid and two not earned, and their pockets are pretty empty. Right, so what he's referring to is there was actually this study in which people that ran daycare centers decided to start charging parents when they paid their kids late. Correct. And what they found is that made it worse. There's one. All right, I can be late. Right, and all I have to do is pay, and I don't have to be embarrassed about it, because I'm giving them money. Right. So it doesn't matter. So the problem actually got worse. Players are like, well, you know, it's $5.00 a half hour. I got 15 extra bucks. Exactly. We can keep the kids up. It's interesting when you encounter those counterintuitive moments that you think you've got the solution, but then you have people react as people will and they find a way around it and they're like, and he's applying it to Newman era and saying that allowing the GM to be an asshole and saying, oh, it's okay, because I'm giving you XP for it. Right. Encourages. It encourages GM to be assholes. Yeah, it's a good point. I don't think assholes are right, word though. Asshole. Asshole. You like that one better? Yes, asshole oristic. Anyways, to get, there's only one more. I don't think he was looking for a son of a man. He continues. The mandatory intrusion on a one also kind of irritates me because there's not always something interesting to do, and I'd rather leave that up to the GM's creativity to make an intrusion that really ties in. But hey, most like you're being an asshole 5% of the time. Yes, I usually don't have a problem, dude. I'd like to think I'm a little less than 5% and ends with thanks for the continued fun and in parentheses, hey, how often does your podcast comments come with a reference and he put a link into the article that we were discussing? Oh, one out of several hundreds. Yes. So thank you for the feedback. I forgot your name. Thank you for the feedback. Schimmann. Schimmann David. Schimmann. Schimmann. It was, it was two words or one. Schimmann. Back. Schimmann. Back. Yes. It was a very interesting email. I don't know where Schimmann's from. I don't know. I personally agree with the comments and not a fan of Newmanera and the GM intrusion. But rumor has that we're going to play against your ass glory. Yes. Right. I don't know. I don't think, I don't think any point in that story was did I practice said the GM intrusion. I'm suddenly flashing and losing the music box. The only thing that could stop me from ripping from ripping apart the part. Oh, come on. That may be for good story. That's what I'm saying. That's even borderline asshole. Well, that's blown asshole. I won't say it's an asshole move, but what happens is that all the players are always under perpetual black cloud because you can GM intrusion anyway. And the intrusion is going to be a negative, the negative GM intrusion. Give me a gold piece or, you know, give me a. You're a cookie. You're not on have a good day. No, we're in a GM intrusion there. You're all the one. I'm Facebook of the pictures that were posted of the basement. Lime Allen asked, what's the pinball machine in the back corner? I love pinball. Highway to the Caribbean. It's missing its sound currently. I need to get the sound card replaced. We also had some comments on episode 200, like I mentioned earlier, that I begged off the fact that episode 200 was late and there was a couple comments under that as well. So under the post explaining that episode 200 would be late, Brian Hoppel posted and said apologies nonsense. You and the whole KOTN crew should be proud of how consistently awesome he had been over 200 episodes. It's an accomplishment on its own. Well done and thank you. Thank you for the compliments, Brian. We're all comes to you Tom, because damn thing wouldn't be released wasn't for you. That is actually in the beginning. Brian also, there wouldn't be such wonderful content was it for us. Right. Brian also edits neat content to the fan site this week where he had done a couple posters of Michael Clay, different formats and one of them was the Obama change one was Michael Clay, but with puns and so I thought that was kind of clever. You were coming on meme for the briefest of moments. Yes, that's more of like a myth. Jason Spears also posted and said no musical live stream episode complete with dancing. Oh well, perhaps episode 300. No, not gonna happen anything. Mr. Merck T said no worries. Just the riots and demonstrations will be back somewhere around episode 250 demanding a video, pun-fick musical with Michael Clay and Chew Park, plus failing car stunts by Sister Katie. Oh and tons of exploding choppers, zombies, bees, gunfights, and a hobo werewolf too. All right, there you go. All in bread. And when we actually did release episode 200, which was just today, because Naples posted and said amazing or KOTN episode 200. I did. So thank you all. Go on YouTube looking for crash tests of vans, you know, just to put up a little funny little thing, but never get around to it. And I came across, Scott, you actually think this is going corn white? No, I came across maybe one of the creepiest things that really happened. They were on this time period that were, which is post-mortem photography. Oh, I guess it was a common practice back in the day and funerals. Take pictures. Yeah, no need to take but crime scenes as well. Not in crime scenes, but your loved ones, let's say, have a child died. Yeah, they make them all pretty. Oh, very cool. Yeah, and they agree have like these like iron. Everybody here, just just for the audience, everyone here is scrunching up their face and discuss. Scott sang pretty cool. Well, pretty cool. There are pretty graphic images. You can go to those whole sites dedicated to them. And it was, there's one woman who looked like she had been dead for a while. And she's doing her little thing. A little rigger going on. But, I mean, if you're looking for some disturbing imagery for a future. Oh, we got looking for a disturbing imagery. Keep you right up at the top of the FBI watch list. Right. I mean, it wasn't, I mean, it's not as bad as some of those places. I'm sure the NSA has been marked somewhere. It was interesting. And I'm glad it's a practice that has stopped the staff. Bring it back. All right, with that, guys, we're going to get on to episode 200 and once. So enjoy. This is the world of darkness story, The Sin Eater. I'm your story teller Scott. And with me tonight starting on my right is Michael playing Ethan Clark, a medical doctor and native of 1935, the checkered past. Tom playing Jay Alton, a member of the ascending ones and leader of the squad. I'm Jim playing Kate O'Connor, non-incrazy driver on native of 2011. Mike playing Michael Clay, the academic adventurer from the ages Kaidoru. Thomas playing Edgard Montez, a voodoo and practitioner and a member of the Les Misters conspiracy. John playing Daniel Morgan, a mountain man, turn mercenary, ex-member of test course, Sakura. Rachel playing Silverbell or Grace Rockman, apathetic, but mysterious teenager. All right, when we last left, I believe you had just met with a good Irish doctor, much to Ethan Shigren and had arranged a bit of a horse trade to use 30s parlance. He's willing to get some visible equipment and join you. You told him, I believe that you were at the Amsterdam hotel. Well, we told him that we needed the two members healed before we could start hunting for some supernatural power. We asked for all three. He borrowed it for two and then only able to third one when we get the job done, but we were going to teach that anyway, because it's right terrible people. But we're going to do it, members health. We probably need it. And I don't know that he indicated a supernatural connection to the disappearances of the children. Just more of a mouth now. We just assumed, because that's how we're afraid of that. So unless someone's got something that needs to be done, we could just move forward an hour. And at that point, Dr. Collins can arrive in the lobby of the Amsterdam hotel unless there's something someone needs to do before that time period. I don't think we're doing anything too exciting back at the hotel. We're waiting. It's exciting to rest. Okay. Before the doctor gets there, I touch base with everyone. I go to the room where the ladies are and tell them that we've got a doctor coming in and that he says he can do something that is much more powerful than normal medicine. So I think we might be inferred something unusual just to give you heads up. I don't know Grace if you want to stay here, but the sister obviously has to be here. And then I go to the other room and I tell Montez is the same. Actually, I think we're going to have Michael Clay be healed and then the sister will heal you Montez afterwards because you guys got that spirit. I'd need you going to your boat. Okay. But the sister can handle that. We've only got him doing two, so it'll probably be a couple hours. We'll be back over here. So knowing what you know, Grace, about this in, well, Kase is these displaces. I put red brick dust down on the entryway of the door to see if this guy could cross it. If you had questions about me being able to cross the red dust, then you can find that out as well. It would already be down on the floor because I would have put it down when I got this bedroom. Okay. Sure. If Katie asked you why? Yeah, I was going to say what would be your reaction Katie is seeing the girl putting red dust down over the door. Well, I was thinking there would be some sort of a rug or carpet that I could put it under. I wouldn't put it out in the open. Okay. Should you do it so I can't see it or would you care? No, so no one could see it. That's the point. But I was saying he's saying like when she went to the restaurant, you would do it. Yeah. For the sake of moving along at the speed of plot here, we'll say that there is a old beat up entrance mat that you can reposition, but there's a mat at the side of each bed for you to step off so your feet aren't golden in the morning. And you just reposition yours to the doorway and put some of the dust under the mat. And that was while Katie was in the ladies room of the shared bedroom that you have with her. And then for me as a storyteller, what particular powers did this dust have? Anybody who means your arm can't cross it. Okay. Is that required or wrong? I don't know who does it. Do you? It's something that she carries with her as part of what she carries with her. Right, her stuff. I'm familiar with it and I will make rolls. Who meets them in the lobby? Ethan would be there to meet the bloody Irishman. All right. If he keeps acting like this towards our doctor then kind of friend and I will be there as well. Yeah, you notice a little bit of tension between the two of them. I think it's fair to say political differences perhaps. It's a good way to determine. He arrives in the lobby with a small doctor's bag much like you saw when you first had the car accident and you saw Ethan approaching Ethan Clark. He had his little medical bag. The Irish doctor has the same. He has a medical bag and he's wearing a pair of round spectacles and comes in. Again, he's disheveled. He's definitely not a doctor of high standing. Definitely someone who looks like he's been through the wringer and been through a lot. But he also has a kind face and seems like he genuinely cares. And so he comes in and says, "Can you please lead me to your fronts?" And I'll be happy to take care of him. Yeah, we lead him to Katie first. So you lead him up to the room with Grace and with Katie I believe that is it's in that particular room. The children are still playing at the hotel Cleveland. You still have them being taken care of by Nandy the two younger children that were transported here and the dogs are still in the flat house. So Jay comes into the room and when he comes into the room leading the good doctor he passes freely over the entrance way. Well actually they're full of good doctors. So why bad? Does the powder make it difficult or does it make it impossible for someone? You don't know but in a metagaming sense it's something that they can overcome if they have enough bachelor power but they have a contested role against her power. No, it's totally unconscious. She wouldn't know they met her harm and beat the role. She would just assume that they were friendly. Okay, Scott, I have my Glock tucked behind. Sure, just in case. Yep. Okay. The doctor Ethan Clark who you've met before and have some rapport with also passes over the threshold with no problem whatsoever. So then party problems comes into the room lastly and he pauses at the doorway looks at the room and then steps inside and enters without problem. So he is in the room. He introduces himself as Dr. Marnie Collins and he heard that you're in need of some healing of a very particular nature. Could you describe what the doctor sees when he looks upon your character? She's been bit and shot. And car accident. And car accident did it. She was shot with her flat jacket on so she has probably bruised or maybe broken ribs. You said something better. He turned a lung. Yeah, internal bleeding. I remember she was on the first shot when we were coming over the hills from the sniper rifle. Right. Well, he asks you to lie down your bed so he can perform what he says is a ritual that will help heal you and make you feel much stronger. Okay, is he looking like he's going to do something I usually do or just is his own little ritual here? You haven't seen anything yet. He just the terms he's using might seem a little odd. He's not saying he's going to apply a bandage or I have some some medicine for him to like set some wounds, give me some medicine and say yeah we're going to be here for a week or two. Right. That hasn't happened yet. What does happen though is he opens his doctor's bag and you see him pulling out two or three what looked to be chemistry vials. A stopper that would be made of cork and within them seemed to be a very viscous red fluid. He pulls out three of them from his doctor's bag and he places them on the side table. He then pulls out what looks to be some sort of pendant or chain that he would normally wear any places that on the side table. He pulls out what looks to be almost like a land skin. Obviously some type of diary or personal journal of his and he starts leaping through that and you can see lots of handwritten notes and diagrams. It looks like something that in all honesty looks like something you Michael Clay especially something you would see in the forbidden section of the Cleveland Public Library when you went and did some research previously. We're looking at like old tones of medieval writings and things like that when you're researching. But I'm not there. Well actually that's what I wanted to clarify. Right. I'm assuming that our doctor Ethan is there as well just to make sure this guy isn't full of shit. Yeah I would like to view this. He looks like he's completely full of shit so far. Yeah and I would be there just trying to stay out of the way but back by the door watching and the only other person in the room I can imagine is Grace whether she wants to be here or we would rather be somewhere else but this is her room. Right. I heard him say he plans on doing something in a little ordinary and quick and I've seen the stuff that Jake can do with his chemistry. So I'm kind of trying to keep an open mind of whatever the hell he's going to do. Figured if nothing else it'll do nothing. And Grace would you say your character has these strong feelings at this point or what this doctor is producing out of his bag? Anyone doing anything up to this point? I'm familiar with some of these things that he's pulling out. You can honestly say you're not. Okay. When I walk in the door I just lean against the wall right next to the door. Right. The door is now open or closed. It's closed. I'm guarding giving some privacy staying back. But I'm watching. This is an interior room. There is not a window that shows on the outside so there is no other escape for the doctor should things go south than to go through the door. Do you need a pentagram or should I like some incense or maybe shape some rattles? Is that to the storyteller or actually saying that's a good doctor. The good doctors. Do you actually say that? No but I'm thinking that. Okay fair enough. I'm sure that would be nice. I see you smirking, shaking my head. He unstops one of the test tubes and he please tell me I don't have to drink this stuff. He unstoppers one of them and says Misele Connor I need you to drink the food. Like Connor. That's good Irish name. Yeah I noticed your Irish. Yeah. That's what I'm feeling. That's verbose. I tell them I'm from state so you've been here a while. My family is originally from the night tell them wherever the hell I really might have been coming. Recently I'm upgraded to myself. Yeah. Please if you would. I'm sniffing the bottle. Giving them a look like is this going to taste horrible? What's in this? It's going to taste horrible and it's blue. I've got to stand a little shorter. Glancing but really. And he unstoppers a second test tube. It's not nearly as full as the first one is that you have and he pours it on one hand and he rubs it in and he takes the second test tube and he empties that on his other hand and he rubs it together and then takes his medallion and he seems to hold that in his hand and he remembers some words way too low for anyone to hear other than murmuring and then he takes the medallion and he puts it around his neck and he slides the medallion against his chest under his shirt and then he pulls out several candles and he puts those on her end table and what looks to you to be a certain configuration and he looks to you and says I'm sorry to dare you but you have to drink. Oh I know I know. I uh look up say a little prayer. Hold my nose in again I asked Michael the whole thing my apologies and then I- Does the sister have any issues with drinking blood? Wasn't she everything against me? Go ahead. Yeah say a little prayer and I um I chug it. And you got some weird scoop. Blood of Christ. Blood of Christ. Tim blood of Christ. Do this in memory of him when I chug it. Yeah it's blood and it tastes coppery and salty and absolutely nasty and I'd like you to go ahead and make a roll. We'll just go with the simple. She's a redneck. She's drinking horrible crap and bars. I'm sure she's done a shot called a blood clot but um not sure she's actually drank one before. So let's go with resolve plus composure. Go ahead and tell me how many dice you have. Solve and composure is six dice. Do I have my minus three because I've been beaten up on this roll? Yeah definitely minus three dice because you're trying to sum up the willpower. That leaves me with three. You can spend well. I thought it was the- I do have willpower to spend to try to choke it down. I am going to spend one because I want to get better. Okay go ahead. So you have a total of six dice and you need one success to chug this down without bombing its echo to somebody. Four successes with two. Jesus. The girl is a drinker. Four successes. All right. You are able to- Let's check it down with a smile. Sure. Not bad. At this point he takes his two bloody hands and he brings them to- Oh jeez. Your face like the place of an either side of your face and he touches that and he whispers some words and then he goes to your stomach which is where your worst wounds are just below your breastplate and he places he actually lifts your shirt. So he's not, you know, not in a rude way but just enough so he can reach the area and he places his two hands to bloody palm prints onto your abdomen for like a better term. He then pulls your shirt back down to cover you up and then you had a bite on your neck-slash shoulder area and he just kind of pulls your shirt down over your shoulder so he can reach it with both his hands and he places two bloody palm prints onto your shoulder area. He then steps back, lights the candles and says to close your eyes and I want to make sure I stop at this point. You could tell he's coming to some sort of apex of the ceremony. I just want to make sure no one has a chance to say what they want to do at this point. Your hand's still on your gun basically? Well I said I stood up more around a ten more intensively and yeah at this point my hand's probably just drifting back to where it is. I'm not pulling it out but I mean I can believe everything that's happened now is legitimate. She's probably muttering her, literally in ritual in her head while he's doing it, just a calmer. Just a calm herself down. Sure. And then even you would be the last, well that's great, you would be the last to know. I've seen some pretty strange things into bed so I'm going to launch the ride. Okay. Didn't work there either. So you notice that no one else is, I wouldn't say they're not batting an eye, you definitely see like a tension start to gather and kind of manifest itself in the room. And it's been a couple weeks for us but moments for our characters. I have explained to Grace that we have seen and some of us have the ability to do things. Right. And so the question I would have then for Grace is do a lot of the apex of the ceremony to be completed without interruption or do you feel the need to interrupt? I mean you see him going through his, his paces, face, abdomen, shoulder and you see him like the candles. You see him open back up his book. He starts to murmur again but you can see that there's more intensity to the murmuring. You still can't pick out the words. Is this looking really familiar to me? I wouldn't say so to be honest. No. It seems very alien, very strange and a little bit scary probably. So the things that you've experienced. I see what I see. Yes. I'd probably back up and go over to where he's standing. Right. Because you're being Jay. Because you're a little bit nervous. Yeah, I'm certainly nervous but mostly I'm concerned that he doesn't seem as nervous as I am. I would probably look at Jay and with concern. Okay. Has any of this even remotely resembled what Sister Katie has done in the past to heal people? I don't think so. No. I've healed somebody before. He's thinking it though. If no one but Grace is doing anything and Grace is standing up and looking at you like with concern you being Jay. Something ahead of kind of sideways like are you okay with this? That's my guess is to what she might be doing. I'm going to allow the ritual to conclude. Obviously I'm not a fan of blood magic which that seems to be what being used as a base here but I inject drugs into my eyes you know who the hell am I to talk. I don't know what's going on here and this Sister who is the most religious and she seems to be okay with this. Okay. Is she okay? She seems to be okay with this. She's praying. I mean I haven't seen anything. Well I've let them know that I'm concerned. Yes you have. Without further ado. The first thing that happens is you hear Katie gasp deeply and she scissors forward so she's like an L. You're like her bat just straightens immediately and she gasps and she reaches for her stomach and she starts coughing and coughing and you see some of the blood that was on her lips and in her mouth. She starts spitting it out in a little sprays across the white linens of her bedding and then she catches her breath and you can't believe it Katie but all your damage is gone. He bends over you and whispers to you and says you got right my dear. I had five lethal just so people go on. I'm like wow I'm kind of healing his ass. Best cut myself. My dear. Effective hero. Better than God could get. He turns to you Jason. I'm trying to look like I was just leaning against the wall. I'm concerned about this. I'm like moving my arm around. I'm like I'm going to tell the guys like guys just it worked. I mean I feel a lot better. I'm hoping it's permanent and that just makes me feel this way but it's for all the tense and purposes right now that damage is gone. I'm telling everybody this guy's a little weird but it's legit. And you had another? Walk this way. Yes we do. So he puts his items back into his doctor's bag, takes off his pendant, and follows you to like a place. Yes and just somewhat interestingly when he leaves the room he steps over the mat. Doesn't step on the mat like pause this for a moment and then steps over the mat and then walks on to the next room which you would definitely take is odd. It was odd behavior. Just consider if you didn't want to mess up whatever the hell you were doing. Sure. So I introduce them. Marty Collins, this is Michael Play. He's here. The next patient. Can you give us an idea of what your health situation is right now? My health situation is dire. I have lethals filling almost all the boxes. I was as bad as you could be. I've got star star star x x x. Yeah okay. Yes you you are absolutely in America itself and I remember. The candles come out, the blood new vials come out, the Dr. Collins goes into the bathroom and washes his hands clean. Wow. And then comes back out and he produces three vials of blood. I may have a problem. Am I conscious for this or my unconscious? Oh I don't know what would be more interesting for the story. To be conscious. Then you're conscious. Okay. Using my occult and my experience with this kind of stuff, can I recognize anything that he's doing? I've taken the ancient vow of the sword to destroy quote "they who work magic and they who change their skin". Now there is leeway there but I don't like mages. And you have the ability to detect them? No but I do have training and experience. No I gotta kill them but I do have experience after he heals you. Well there is leeway for me to do something to relax you. There is leeway that I could manipulate him and use him to my advantage like heal him and then kill him. Put a bullet in the back of his skull. I'm just saying. He heals children. I'll go ahead and allow a roll. Do I recognize what he's doing in his skull bro? Okay roll 4. He's telling what your occult plus wits are please and your minus three dice for your wounds. You've got the weapon. I have three for cults and three said wits. Three for wits minus three for my wounds. I'm back down to three. You're back down to three and I'm not gonna penalize you any further. Go ahead. Make your three die roll. I have one zero. Ten again? And two successes. Two successes. What I'm gonna say is you can't detect what he is but what you can detect is the fact that when he pulls his amulet or whatever you want to call it out from his doctor's case you notice that it is a pentagram and I have a specialty in relics by the way. I can see. And I'm a relic analyst. I'm also a trained observer. I've spent years in the field catching tiny details and digging for secrets and therefore I have a better chance to find quote important clues so anytime I make a perception roll I'd benefit from a plus again. So eight plus again? Eight? Yeah. So did you count that in your die roll? You're old and I should have given him some of your legs. Okay just do this. Two successes on your cult roll which will say gives you two bits of information. One is you see the amulet that he takes out is a pentagram. It's only shown briefly and he puts it to his blood soaked hands and then it goes against his chest under his shirt. But you also notice that the candles the way he displays them the order that he puts them in if you will the pattern is something that is an ancient form of what you would recognize as dark magic. There we go. Something at least from the 1400s if not earlier. Something I got bastardized eventually to a modern day version of the occult. So in a way you're saying that this is kind of fitting rain to the wheelhouse of what I've been working in my whole life. I would say as a hunter as a ageist cider well I would say that he seems to be setting up his ritual in a dark fashion but is he evil. You can only go by what you see but you also were told by your compatriots that he just healed sister Katie. At least it said it was sister Katie. We all use what tools we have available. I would think in this case I would fight this ritual. My prudence what little I have and when I know I look to Jay. Would you say have somebody else? This isn't right. What he's doing this is bad mojo. This is bad stuff. He's ignoring him pretty much because that's just what he does. He's continuing on wiping the blood in his hands getting himself ready for the ritual and then when you say what you say he just looks to you and I'm afraid we're gonna have to only accept half of help offered this time. Oh but Edgar. Bleeding over here. I'll take it. Pretty fucking bad boss. Are you all right with the? I'll take two. I don't know. I've never met. Which is whatever. Do you have a cult dude? Can you tell what he's doing? I mean he said it a lot. It's dark magic. I don't care. I'm bleeding over here. Give me some of that dark magic. That's delicious. If you don't mind perhaps this gentleman instead would prefer. I'd like to make a roll at this point. I have a cult too and then having seen what I've seen so far. Sure. Go ahead my rolling against. You make a cult plus which roll and this would be for Ethan. Okay. So which is three, cult is two. So five dice and just you're seeing him set up. He's not seemingly hiding anything so go ahead. I've seen the whole process once. All right. I said I don't deal with what you said that wrong. Is it eight or nine? I don't have anything against torches. It successes with eight, nines and tens and you got a 10 again. Nice successes. Three successes. You noticed the same things that Michael Clay noticed which is to say the pentagram. The very odd placement of the candles which harkened back to a text that you had actually perused in Tybat in 33. You know that's a very very ancient form of black magic or some type of demonic type of reference to the way the candles are set up. Definitely dark. And then when you're able to glimpse over his shoulder when he's leafing through his his notebook if he will or his doctor's diary or whatever you want to call it. And you see that the writing in the book is a very old version probably medieval version of Italian. Again text that you came upon during your research in Tybat. So he has some ancient he's there's some writing in the book that's medieval Italian some odd placement of candles which seems to be indicating of dark magic and then a pentagram which seems to be kind of at odds with everything else that's so old and so maybe truer to the form of what could be considered dark magic and this is kind of like it's like nowadays dark magic with a pentagram. You know it's something it's more of a recent bastardization of dark magic. Before I'll do any kind. Unconditional acceptance I just want to know like am I going to owe anything like is this a danger to me or you and also who's blind. You're speaking to him. Yeah who's blind. Am I drinking here? Do I have yours? Is it some kids? Is it like a notes? Right. My successful will give me any information in that regards as to what the repercussions may be for someone who accepts help in this man. It's just too unknown at this point. I mean dark magic could be a witch. It could be a warlock. It could be a variation of yeah jade takes poison in his body. Yeah I mean it could be a variation of what jade does with his conspiracy. It could be someone you've never heard of before. Help! It could be a demon walking the earth for all you know. There's just too much. There's there's too many daps in the information to make any legitimate conclusion on what's happening. Right yeah so am I going to be in future danger for accepting this help and it was this blood taking from someone who didn't deserve it. Those are my questions. You need yourself. Just kidding. No. Just kidding. The blood is mine. Thank you. The blood is mine. That's fresh stuff. Just kidding. Sure. He has a good chuckle in men. No one else laughs. He feels awkward. I have my blood. Is he lying? Someone can make that vote they want. What does that roll on? Who's all in the room now the men's room of getting a ceiling thing. Does anybody not see the rules? To the best of my knowledge you could walk right over because if the hell you're here and grace is not really still trusting this guy so I think she would be and if you're all kind of crammed into the room to some extent in regards to detecting whether or not he's a line it would be your empathy plus your presence. No I think it's your wits. I still have a chance to die. I don't know right now. He's totally telling you the truth. Four aggravated three leaf hookers. I have one more wound than Mr. Michael Clint. You're a chance dice add guard? You don't want to roll? Okay. Anyone else wishes to detect whether or not the challenge is not allowed as well. Go ahead and take your wits plus empathy and tell me how many successes you get for anyone who wants to try to detect whether or not the good doctors lying. This is a contested roll so you need to beat how many he doubt the kind of a line if he's lying at all. So two successes. Two successes for Grace. One success for Daniel. Edgard is just taking in the scenery. Michael Clay doesn't want to tell if he's lying. He doesn't want to hear another word out of his word. Tongue. He has written down in his book. And then J. Two successes. The best was two successes I believe by Grace and J. And you both feel when he made the joke, the awkward joke and there's no laugh. I don't have to. Thank you. That he was telling the truth. Now the only way that could be a lie is that he rolled his dice up to use plus wits and he rolled more than two successes. You want to make it a cold roll because you had some occult background. So go ahead and yes that would apply. Your specialty would apply. Seven. Seven dice. Roll away young lady. Two successes. Unfortunately you have to beat three that have to be but for new information. So you saw the pentagram. You saw the cool arrangement of candles. No more ten. Which were a very ancient or ten. Yeah it's yours. Okay then Rogen. Sorry. Roll your ten again. That's right. It doesn't matter. Two successes and no one. How do I do a pentagram? A pentagram addiction when I can too. Okay yeah give me a second. So your two successes told you the same thing it told everyone else which was the pentagram and the candle arrangement being a very ancient type of black magic. You think he's not flying? He says are you ready to begin the ceremony? It was for you. You didn't mention anything about future costs to me but I'm- No future cost to you. Besides well there is. There is as per our agreement you need to help find the wee ones. Yeah the deal gotcha. And if he doesn't find the wee ones. We need to try. Just you need to just try. Okay. There would be no read the question. No one under the couch. He starts his ceremony. He hands you a vial and says that you must drink it. Okay what is uh. Resolve plus composure. Fuck yeah I'm all in like two dice. Awesome. There's just a little for that. There's gotta be another way. He's bad news I'm telling you. It's more like this. No way. Three dice minus three for injuries. Yeah we're all in a chance die. Chance die. So have a butt back up. Okay before you swig Brace has a quest. He's done his thing with the potion and the poison or whatever in front of me. Yes right that happened at a point. Um no actually when he ran up he stopped before he approached the vehicle off to the side. You don't know what he can do. You know he can do something special but you don't know because he said we have special powers too. You never said I inject things. Did you two hurt or have you? Just I do. I thought I could heal myself. Okay. My special powers that everyone ignores my warnings. It's beautiful and it works really well. That's probably one. I made it very clear that I'm not okay with it. If I vomit all of your shoes. I have more vials. Okay let's do this. All right. Nine. Oh fuck that. All your stomach's son of a bitch. All right so you are able to do it. With all my practice. You rolled the one down. Yeah. Yes. Oh my god. He then goes back to his book and starts murmuring low again but with intensity of the spell much like you remember Katie. Are you doing anything to stop it? I'm doing a benediction. I'm doing this little prayer of my own in the back corner. And what does it do? This is a true sight of St. Abel. It allows me to see things for what they are. Success indicates I can see monsters for what they are. If I see a vampire I know it is one of these spiteful dead. If I see a worm wall or even if it's even in it it's human state. I could sense the feral and protein nature of the thing. I could see ghosts. If there's a ghost that can't be seen in the room I will be able to see a ghostly image of a ghost in the room. So I see everything for what it really is not for what it whatever guys are veiled or magic they're using to hide what they are. Persons. But not necessarily mystical energies or political. Missile energies persons everything. I see everything in the whole place. I didn't hear anything about those energies but. Yeah it also says in here any creatures, ghosts, demons, spirits existing in the non-corpial state will become visible as great gauzy shadows. Okay how long is that benediction. It cost me willpower. Extended action. It's an extended action. Each world represents one turn of prayer and supplication. I think. I'm an expert. You need five successes. Go. You want your dice. Start praying. It gives me am I served. I know I can give it to more than one person but I can say if I had 10 successes I would I can give five to j you five to me or I can keep all the successes to myself. Whatever it is I can allocate them out. Just roll success for the first turn. You got to see if the first thing is a ritual. Go. And I have a success. Not eight but eight. A success. Okay and notice how you didn't have to minus any dice is because you weren't injured. Isn't that nice? Yeah. That'll be okay. First turn you have one success. All those blessed may roll resolve plus success is allocated to see what monsters for what they are. Okay you're able to allocate one success. If you want to this town and my resolve is three. So all is three. So I can roll four dice to see things as they are. Yes. Each time it rolls a turn. So he took a turn remembering strong way with conviction. So go ahead second turn. One more success. That's three successes and he goes to finish off his ceremony or trying to. And he's done. Remarkably like what happened to Sister Katie. There is a searing bit of pain. Makes you double over. You gasp which platters your sheets in your wall with some blood that you had remaining on your lips. But after being able to take a few more seconds to inhale you're finally able to gather yourself and realize that you're amended. All your wounds are completely healed. First time in a night I've been able to take a full inhale. Yes. My lungs aren't bleeding anymore. It's actually quite nice. Can you make a third roll? Three successes. You're there. I start ushering Marty out of the room. I wish to talk to him about these young ones and what we need to do. All right as he places his arm around Marty and starts walking out of the room I'll need you to step into the other room please Katie. There's two people I'm I'm taking a good look at. That's Marty. Right. Well I'm sure. In grace. Got it. Okay. Rude. I informed Katie that if she could do something for Michael Clay that would be nice. I will see what the miracles are. Very good. That's okay. But fuck. You have to figure she did most of the damage to begin with. Yeah. Of course well give me an ampoule and then second pray over me. But uh-huh. Don't use the ampoule before she prays now. That's just intriguing. You didn't choose to look at you though. Cool. All right. We should probably not trust you. He's doing pain. Jay you place your hand on his shoulder. He actually just says once I've got to go I need to collect my things. You know that Katie has stopped praying. I'm just shaking my head and and then look over at Michael Clay going all right. All right. All right. All right. Let's get you fixed up. The rest I think. That's what she says. Then he comes to you and says where would you like to discuss our arrangement. I'd really like you to come with me. But what she was there and he can't come with you. He just can't participate. Do we mention what you would like to be there as well? Yeah I don't I don't mind if if anybody comes but I'm assuming that he's going to give us clues and Chew is the best of dealing with clues and he's not here. So second best investigator we have. He has laid up in a bad refusing treatment. So what what skills do you use for investigation? I can't heal you. You want to know about this? I'm going to heal you. I'm going to be able to do this much. Sorry. She's too like as far as investigation goes. What stats do you roll for investigation? We usually use which plus investigation are usually roll. 76. I have five. Nice. Go for it. So it sounds like Ethan is a grace grace. I've got Ethan in myself and we get a room off the dining room. I'm talking about that. We have to build that little parlor off the main room. You end up there with the group that you had mentioned. Okay and we start just trying to gather information of what's happening to these children that he wants us to investigate. The gist of what he tells you and you can kind of come back with questions and ideas is that around a fortnight ago a child disappeared from the shanty town. Very odd. People think the shanty town is a bunch of degenerates or dangerous. It's really not like that. There's people in need and there's people who are desperate yes but these are good people who have been driven to the point of desperation but they take care of their own. Mothers don't stop watching their children. They teach them as best they can since they can't afford to send them to school any longer and they're not in an area where there is a school. The shanty towns they can be a dangerous place but it's not like what you read in the papers. Like I'm not knowing you guys. Don't read the papers. Well I point out because in my world in my neck of the neighborhood kids don't run around as I saw down in Shantytown. It's just not a safe thing to do and I would assume the shanty town is the same. It's like you say that mothers watched their kids. I've saw plenty of kids running around freely begging in. In the day like hours it would be like any neighborhood. The children get to run and play and have fun and try to change having difficulty grasping this new thing. This is just how it is but it's not for a lack of caring or a lack of love so if a child disappears in the middle of the night it's cause for concern and since that fortnight every two nights another child has disappeared. Seven children have disappeared in the last 14 days in our shanty town. Is that exactly every two days? It seems to be. You'd have to talk to the actual families involved. Did you know you gave us a list of names? Of course. Would you like them now? Sure. And he gives you a list of names. From memory. From memory. He says that he can give you directions to where they reside. The first is Mary Adams. The second is Elizabeth Elinton. The third mother involved is Kelly Mick Elvin. These are the mothers. Yes. Sorry. He's Kelly Mick Elvin. Nick Elvin. Francis Carter. And William James. He tells you that the four are not single mothers but the men are off searching for work and the mothers are left to care for their lean to or their tent or their little hobble and then the fifth was a father who lost his wife to illness and is taking care of their children. I thought you said there were seven children. Clarisse Turner and Judith Manley. So you've got all the names. Everyone wrote them out for anyone who wants to. The question I would ask is if there's any common thread. I mean are they all one nationality? Are they all one area of the shanty town? I wrote each other missing male, female certain age. He tells you over a pint that his recollection is the children are all between the ages of four and seven. Oh man. Is it a steadily ascending age or was it? To the best of his knowledge the kids have been different ages. There's no four, five, six, seven. It's just been random. Male, female. Five girls, two boys. Only child. No question. The first one. He goes through a few names in his head like a kind of murmur and he's like yeah they are. They're all first born. Well that's pertinent. Oh that is. With a sick healthy. Are you lying injured? To the best of my knowledge they were as healthy as male nourished children and living in a shanty town could be. Are these children patients? I've treated some of the children but what are scrapes and bumps and bruises they get in the shanty town? I believe that one of the little ones might have said an arm once. I think she she broke her arm but you know nothing. It wasn't that I saw all of them. I just knew them because maybe I treated their parents or a friend of the families. I tend to know quite a few people obviously because I'm one of the only doctors that's willing to work in the shanty town. When did they go missing? Was it night time during the day? Do we know? The all the reports that I have heard have been that it happens during night. From their little shanty houses or lean twos or tents they've all disappeared right from underneath their parents protective care. If you told anyone else about this is this news worthy? I've informed the police. Kids vanish from poor house. It's not his news. No. When did this begin? Unfortunately two weeks ago anything happened two weeks ago major in the city of Cleveland. Anything come to town anything set up? Nothing you possibly think of that happened that could have precipitated this circus folk. I mean we get we get scuffles every night you know like the men folk get a little drunk. Full moon strange weather. Chipses. Nocidories? Fucking chips. Yeah he's got nothing nothing weird happening to us. No one came to the shanty town no strangers. Someone there's tons of people each day. Dozens of you. And they're all people. Different nationality, different hair color, different. There's an distinguishing feature among any of these children. Firstborn. Besides. Right from his I mean maybe further investigation can remain more but that sounds nefarious and not insignificant. I agree. I cannot believe that the law enforcement doesn't take a look at this. I'm impressed with crazy this question. Yeah. She keeps doing it. She feels safe and dang it. She would. Does anyone have any more questions from a good doctor before he goes back to treating his patients in the shanty town? The shanty towns are busy enough at night that we're not going to be like able to spot something happening at night because he tells you that it's been estimated in the in the local papers because this time in Cleveland they were more than one page. In the papers they think that they're somewhere between 20 and 50 thousand people living in the shanty towns. Yeah it's busy enough. It's busy. There's little bars. It's not really it's a little stand guy standing around and they drink water down ale. It's almost like a functioning city unto itself but a very lawless one that's kind of police by its own. There's tens of thousands of people and they're worried about seven kids. You sound like the police now. Doctor before you go we have one more question. Sure. Which will last next week when we have time to think about it so you can go to Michael Kleine. Excellent. So Sister Katie you look over Michael for the first time in a long time because you have been so wounded you really haven't had a chance. He looks incredibly wounded. He looks very close to slipping back into a coma or into a life-threatening situation. So what do you do? I start to pray. All right I believe you said earlier you're going to risk some willpower on this rule. This is like one of those things that's I roll and I roll again I roll again. I try to see how many successes I can get. I think I can do it up to seven times which is my mortality before I can't roll no more. I don't think it's your mortality. I think it's morality. It's morality now. It's morality but it's been changed to integrity so just want to use the correct rule. Yeah which is double wrong. Yeah which is seven. Okay so your integrity is seven so you could make as many roles as you have integrity. Yes. Yes. Okay it doesn't cost you anything to make these roles. It costs a little bit more to start it. It's kind of like what I was doing before I guess. So you have to spend one week or so. I guess I can't. I can only make one risk roll during those roles. I'm going to say that that's allowable. You can risk the role one time. Okay is there like a time frame on how much each role is an hour? It's a half an hour. It's going to take a while. It's not like you know you just drink a potion in like a minute. Yeah well I won't have demon blood in me either. The Lord works in mysterious ways. What role you make for if you spend a willpower to start off and you do not get the advantages of that willpower when you start it. That's what you that's the investment you have to make to start this magical benediction. Intelligence plus benediction equals seven days for you. Seven days. And you get plus one because you're a nun. You're a nun. And I get plus one because for this one if I have faith as my virtue I get plus one. Okay I don't know. Would you feel your faith has been questioned today? It's questioned every five minutes with this group. Would you say it's been severely questioned today? Yeah based on what you mean. Oh yes. I'm going to take that die away. I think that Katie would definitely be thinking about how could what just happened happen based on everything she knows. She had she has faith that there is I told you that she has faith that there's a reason why this these situations keep coming up at this group. Fair enough I will bring the die back then. I met nine dice and risking. I'm the very first role is going to give me three dice and the exceptional success which is a lower susceptible success. Yeah three. Yeah okay and how many successes do you need for this to work? Every exceptional success is going to change one of his aggravated two lethal. Got it. Because he's all he's got is besides that his lethal damage every two successes I get will heal one of his lethals. Got it. You're going to risk willpower on the very first row. It takes you to 12 dice and hoping I get it and hoping that three equal the exceptional success and I could drop one of his aggravated down to a lethal granted. Now I am going to subtract for some reason. I don't have three dice to be a roll. Roll nine dice go. They made the Lord be with you. Wait before you roll. I can't help him with anything right this is all purely her and our faith. Okay. If this is the skill Michael I know yes okay make a play. One two three four and a ten again and a ten again five five total successes. It reduces the aggravated to a lethal and then two more above the three to five successes what you had right all right five so yeah removes the lethal one of the lethals doesn't change it to a bashing it completely removes it correct. And it completely heals one of his lethals. We're all second time. One. One. One success. If you had a bashing it would heal. Yes. Do you have a bashing damage? No. Waste it. Second. That was second turn. Now it's the third turn at seven. No don't. Two. Two. Two. That's a lethal. Takes rid of one lethal. That is round three round four Katie. Wait what in lethal you said right? Yeah heal one lethal. Turn four go Jim. You get some air on those things. Yeah one. Really. Really. Turn five. Nothing for us. Second bit better. Yeah you did. And nothing on it. I'm gonna say get some air in this thing man. Roll six. That's not sub pink. Three four five. One more. That is an exceptional success. On a regular roll five is an exceptional success. Yeah that takes one of your aggravated down the lethal. And it races it. No with the other two points. Oh fine. Yeah. It's another skill. Make count Katie. Nothing. So Michael Clay where are you at now health wise? I have two empty boxes two aggravated and two lethal. Which will heal a lot easier than the aggravated well anyways. You're at least able to walk about with a limp and some. Is he minus anything? He's minus one. I'm at minus one. Now what I would like to know is can I take advantage of the ampoule now? Shoes got one I'm sure. Yeah before I started beating my head it gets true. Well I wasn't. I thought well not use it. You might yield it all. If you're hadn't rolled right. Sorry but that made you roll better. Yeah. So I need to roll or do you roll for that? I roll for that. Okay. Don't those revive the dead? Michael. Good. Clay. Three wounds of the most severe type to the least severe type are taken off of your character shoot. I lose two aggravated aggravated and one lethal. So all you have left is one lethal and I roll like shit. Sorry. Thank you for listening tonight's of the night actual tripod dance. Just give me a sec. Reset. Got it. I kind of like how it changes pretty much week to week like people are like kind of naming their characters and kind of getting them. I don't really like characters. I like it. Mike changes his quote off. Mike won't change his his quote off and as well. 25. And I'll go. I still am waiting for the Sasquatch. Yeah, I'm waiting for that to really look their way into the introduction about that. That's a listening thing. I'm John playing Daniel Sasquatch morning. Squatch. Squatch. Okay. I don't call you Squatch as the leader. Thanks. Yeah, you probably should. Squatch. Take the right side. Ten. Squatch. I didn't know he left. You're stealthy. Does a sister have any issues with drinking blood? Wasn't she everything against me? What'd you do every day at church? And if this character dies, it's not really your fault. Clear. Clear. Just feel like our Kenny. Exactly. Oh my god. Jack, this is a pronoun of free zone. And you can't believe that Katie, but all your damage is gone. That's faster than you could do. This guy's awesome. Can we trade? Excuse me for one second. Okay. It's about well. He didn't know he was making a roller ball. I was saying risk with. I was saying spend will. You look at the next one. Now we're back to the gift force in the market, actually. Yeah, I know. You're just going to try to call on other people. Well, it's just, it's pretty clear, clear cut about my feeling you were guarding. You had a werewolf living in the garage. Yeah. Against pro, and is he healing you? No. I tried. Yeah, that's a whole month. You should have him subtly. I do have leeway. Don't hold that over you. You have leeway. Having said that in the field, reality can get in the way. Sometimes a magician is simply doing no harm. Sometimes a hunter of the age of skydor who finds the werewolves or magicians wearing among themselves and realizes that it will be better for all if one faction triumphs over the other. Sometimes a guardian simply decides that he isn't strong enough to take on one of his ancient enemies at this time. And in my condition, I'm certainly not strong enough to take on one of my ancient enemies. I'm just saying I've got, I've got precedent. He might not be a magic user. He might just be a crazy artifact building where it'll like you are. If he's wearing a pentagram, I'm okay. He's probably the wick in the Celtic tradition. And one of the first tenants is doing no harm. But ignore it. I'm not saying that all wizards are bad or magicians, but they're werewolves. I remember working over that brick line. He was like, "I know what you did." I'm not even werewolves. Anyone who changes the skin. So, you know, I'm not baited that way. Pretty much anyone who's a shape changer. It's a tattoo. So I'm not prejudiced. I hate everybody. Skin changers. I'm just trying to play according to the parameters that I think. I know. This leads you. Okay. I dodged all of them. Amulep that he, Amulep that he takes out. Yeah. I'm hungry. Around me? Around me? Yeah. So the... Fair, how come they get to roll that you just tell me? I don't know. I gave you lots of info. They didn't see what you saw. Do you know what the guy would know? And you're more than welcome to make an occult roll, by the way, as well. Hipster. Yeah. Detecting lies and it's... If the subject actually conceals his emotions or motivations, make a contested roll versus the person's wits plus subterfuge. So it'd be your wits plus empathy. The liar rolls subterfuge. That's lying. Empathy is... I can read you and you are totally lying to me. That's empathy. And you can feel free to switch things around if it fits your character better, right? You're not tied to it. I trust the people in the room to care for my general upkeep guy. When do merits come into play? What specific merits are you for him to? I'm just wondering if I had rolled to know if I know all this. There's tons of stuff that I got to choose. That's why I'm like, I feel like I would know. I have a library of the occult, I have a strange witchcraft occult. If it was a danger sense, it would have been something that you could have used. Instead, I want to do that. Cryptor, I haven't had a need for it yet. I, for the strange, I'll just say to you the rules. Stuff's speculative. A lot of strange stuff going on here. Is there something else besides that for I for the strange, like any specific details? Or is it just... Well, library of the occult is your thoughts saying that they're all seen, you know, all this stuff before, but you told me I don't know any of it, but I feel like I would. Library of the occult, fair enough. And in the cult role, if you had a library, I don't think you don't have, you don't have it with you, obviously, at this point. No, I just would go all the time. Right. But I would say that you should be able to make an occult role, just like everyone else made, and then an attack. Yeah, exactly. And then an attack lies role or empathy plus wits to see if he's lying. How do you know when you live? Um, I tell you. Well, he might lie too. He's kind of that, yeah. You don't know because you don't really know when someone lies anyway, so I either tell you, yeah, you think he's lying, or I say no, you don't think he's lying. It depends on how many successes you have to be. But what's the success? Is what I'm asking. Of what role is the success on every role? The color? Eight nine or ten? Eight nine? Okay. I'm wondering if any of you can regal over there. What did they do? I'm just lashing up randomly. I'm delirious and scared. Truthfully out of the three of you, Edgard is the only one I can see that would go along with that. But I would, I don't know. I did it a witch once to my backstory. You dated a witch once? Totally. Just background. In fact, I'm a little bit, she was lying. I'm a little bit surprised that demonic ritual would function even around her. Yeah, actually. Wouldn't it have some sort of, like, really? That was weird. Yeah, just a nun drinking blood. Pretty fucking woman. What is a malleous malleous malleous? Actually. A lot of the witches. And they destroy witches in the hammer of the what now? Hammer of the witches. Malleous malleous. And something no witch to live. But you, Tom. Sorry. That is some quick question. It's totally metagaming, but just so I understand, when you do the whole poison thing and like you can see people's souls and stuff, right? Have you learned how to differentiate and understand what you're seeing? Or is it just kind of like, oh, that's what I'm saying. That's, I don't know what that means. That's weird shit. That's quick. Like, you know what I mean? Like, how advanced is it? Are you, like, really well? I've never succeeded. So apparently I'm not very advanced at it. Well, they have to do, to do, I think it would depend on your occult background, what you would know. You'd be able to determine, oh, that's something I've seen before, just in a different light. Right. A different angle of it. But, um, to get a full and complete understanding, I've got to get a five successes and I've never met. My understanding with this guy was that he was just another faith healer, like, what's your name? Our sister Katie. I just, okay. So it wouldn't really behoove you to do that. Right. And the fact that she's using a, I would have had a demonic ritual. And I'm in a situation here where I have no access to any of the things that I can trigger these things for. I have an extremely limited supply. Did you have the majority of gay creatures? So I've got a guy who's considered the demons. No one, the church moved in. So I'm feeling my, that he's, my conspiracy is based kind of on Atlantis. By what? And that we've been around for thousands of years and there's two groups that are considered my mortal enemy. And those are what you are, extremely, goes, I'm sorry. Are we, yeah. Am I talking over you? Well, please. No, we're not, we're not going to use any of them. So our magicians and shakers and those are the ones that I really, they've been around since that time and cause trouble. Well, that's what caused last time. Are you pro Atlantis? Yeah. Oh, okay. I just had a picture. Are you? Oh, yes. You sat on there. Also, part of my specialty is the archives and research. So I have, I had all my training and accesses to all this history. Okay. So, okay. Yeah. Um, what would really upset Michael the most? Children have apparently already reached that. Right. But how young would I really bother him? Just cradle. Just take it out of the cradle. That's a really big problem for one. We rescued the children. Didn't even cut their cart yet. And they can't even walk. Right. It's been a random pattern. That's not. Yeah. Okay. Sorry. Pretty smart for a 12 year old. Yeah. I'm 16. She's now, I forgot you're 21 now. She's been older. Did you see that picture? You're always older until you 12. Do you have a 12 in that picture? What? In the scary picture. Did you look what? I don't know. I know. It wasn't even close. It's a two. I feel like she looked like she. That's what you said. She was like, whatever. Yeah. I think if you go back. You're going to listen. Anyway. Grievous is, um, Grievous. Grievous? Grievous? I don't know. But Grievous. I'm sorry, Star Wars. Grievous. I'm going to go with it. Terrible Grievous. There's general grief involved with how, how bad he looks. Um, to be fair, is she tainted from this demonic ritual that was performed? I was going to ask that. But I haven't subtracted my dice yet. You're at nine dice. Uh, uh, I wish more podcasts. I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish more pod. You okay over there? Not at all. Are you having a stroke? I'm smelling almond. But dice. Uh, another 49 minutes. Wait with the S. Holery. Uh, where'd it go? I'm going to use that word now. Asshole. I heard you use it, uh, I think five times tonight, right? At least. This is sad. Is your phone being S. Holery? My phone is being S. Holery. That's not how that word works. Only someone practicing S. Holery was made out of 30 seconds ago. I'm sure you were two steps. You've been convicted of Assholeism. No, it's, I think it's a verb. It is a verb. You were partaking an asshole. Okay, get this. It is a verb. Well, please. I want it. I'm looking. I get a multi task. Okay. You know, I'm looking on the stop moving. You were looking up. I'm just saying. There's a little bit of a roll in the corner here. Wow. We saw it. No, I'm getting ready to spit on someone. And I do have a slide on. So they're old man using technology. Old man who's used to use technology. You know, maybe we should have a guest report occasionally. What? It's not bad. It's not your fault that you can't after a long day, but it's like in the morning. It's a tiny screen. I'm just saying. Yeah, I know. I usually have the iPad. I'd volunteer, but whenever I read a long sentence, I try to make it succinct and I fuck it up because I didn't read the whole time. I wouldn't mind giving a little bit of feedback action occasionally. I swear I must have deleted it or sent to the hour. We used to pass it around, remember? Yeah. Back before you, like, turned dick tutorial. Before you could do it. He had a dick tutorial to tell S.Hollory about reading myself. We weren't doing it right. That's an adjective. Meanwhile. Back at the ranch. Farm. The chagrin farm? Hey, Dave. No. Oh, right. I thought we were really, really dark. You're interfering on my little zone of happiness here. I can't figure out. You're a rope universalis, but hey, Dave, it's lots of fun. Can you do it some more? Okay. It's supposed to be easy. Are you ready? Okay, ready. No. I don't have a go back issue for that. Wait, wait. I have something for that. *sigh*
