We gather up our Hunter characters and dig into the God Machine Chronicles rules, to rebuild our characters, so that Scott can kill us all.

[Music] Hello and welcome to Nights at the Night actual play podcast. This World of Darkness story was written and run by your storyteller Scott. And now, please enjoy episode 193, The God Chronicles Rebuild. Feedback ends 22 minutes, 13 seconds. [Music] Alright, this is our feedback. After this, we'll be returning to the World of Darkness. But I have to feedback. We had one post on our QoT and podcast.com site and this was anonymous. I said if you guys are interested in more hard sci-fi RPGs, I would recommend you looking into Eclipse Phase, a game of Transhuman Conspiracy and Horror by Posthuman Studios. The book and material are all Creative Commons, so it's very easy to legally obtain a copy of the PDF to look at. We've heard about this before, so let's recommend it to some of the man. Character creation can be a little intense at first, so if you were to start playing it, you might look into the player's guide Transhumans for more streamlined, character-building system. And if you don't care for their D percentage, if you don't care for their percentage system, though personally I find their rules very straightforward, they should have a fake conversion coming out soon. So, I think this is in reference to you, Mike, who said you were interested in Traveler and you like hard sci-fi. But I think it's... Posthuman seems a bit different. Everybody wants to talk to you into something else, they think you just have this nostalgic love of Traveler, and you want to play Traveler again. I don't think you can go home, Mike. No, I can't. I don't think so. I thought we made characters for that already, but kind of. Don't give up, see if you're Traveler too. I know, but I have to play Traveler. There's a lot of people around the table that wouldn't like it, I don't think, and if they don't like it, they're going to get bored, and they're going to start tearing apart, and it'll be like watching my baby being torn apart in front of me, and I'm going to get another set. That's how we do it. It's a little brutal. It's a little naked. But not inaccurate. That's exactly the way it would be. On Google Plus, I already posted it. Let me just say that I'm sorry to interrupt. Scott didn't surround the character generation process without tearing it apart, so he was pointing at Scott while you were saying that. I remember that. That would be good. It's the only character creation you can die in, but that's what makes me feel like. I think I did twice. Okay, very close to the last character. On Google Plus, I already posted a couple of times. First off, he said, "listening as I type." That was his first message. And the second one was, "Colin, who gives a fuck?" Ouch, man. You guys, and Rachel. And all of a sudden, Zelda. "Colin, who gives a fuck?" Give excellent feedback, too. The "Colin, who gives a fuck" was from Scott. I left Colin, you were saying, "Colin, wait. I can't remember his last name." And Scott was, "Oh, yeah, right. Colin, who gives a fuck?" Because he wanted to move on. I found the video and posted it to the Facebook. Awesome. I didn't. What? "Is it the acoustic version of overkill by Colin Hay?" "Men at work." Nice. Oh, yeah. I was right. I was right about everything. Anyway, considering, I'm sorry. That's the only reason I included that feedback, too. Why not, that Mike was right. We also saw it. It is our original TV shirt. Now, we have that sound bit. Anytime he's right, again, we can come with that. Yeah, he did. I was right about everything. Every single time he was right. I think I'm at the gasps every time. Oh, that's a good chance. It gets overkill, I mean. How many times have I heard he's right and I had to gasp about it? Go on. More than you're right, right? Exactly. We got an email at our feedback@kyotnpodcast.com. Dan Scale, who said, "Hi, Nites. Thanks for sharing." See, he just avoided the whole Rachel's older thing. "Hi, Nites. Hi, Nites. Thanks for sharing my feedback. Apologies to Rachel. I didn't mean to exclude her by saying "Hi, guys." Sure. I forgot to mention that I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Yeah, they don't have women, so that's fine. They have some manning women down in Australia. We got vlogs. You can never tell. Something else. I forgot one. Isn't it cute up to the restaurants? Many chilis. Many chilis? Yes, I'm the guy who used to tweet at you via Twitter. Emphasized on the used to. I know you guys all hate Twitter. No. I think you're a record. I hate Twitter. I think everybody else is fine with it. Oh, yeah. I got Twitter to use it. I live in 2002. Twitter's dead. No, you live in 2002. Twitter's alive. It never existed in 2002, actually. And it shouldn't have. It's Twitter. Is it Twitter? Did the nights ever end? It's not watch playing? According to Tom. I can't kill until you have a place with someone there. We also got another email from Brett Bowen who said "Hello, Knights." See, they're avoiding the whole guy, girls, entirely. I've really enjoyed listening in on your games. This summer has been a long, dry spell at our gaming table. So, I've been getting a fix by carriagely through you. My group has been trying on our hand at the Dresden File RPG and Fake Core games since before the core Kickstarter. We even wrote up a conversion during the Kickstarter. However, I'm still not sure if we're playing it right. We have a lot of strategic gamers, some of which have used role master, and we're all trying to change our mindset to narrative, cooperative play. So, I started listening to your Dresden games as research. Cooperative play. Because we're so cooperative. Oh, that's good. We're uncooperative. Just London. Wow, okay, Roberto too. At the start, you mentioned that you were changing over to fake core rules. However, you kept a lot of the Dresden File RPG system, namely skills, but also other terminology kept cropping up like spin. I just saw Tom post that you are playtesting the Dresden accelerated system, and I look forward to hearing your game in that system when you're allowed to share. I hear that you keep saying that you're not compelling enough. However, you guys refreshed so often, your story was very compelling. Thank you. We almost got hot. Oh boy. I'm not compelling enough. That's me. However, you guys refreshed so often, I don't think compels are as necessary as they would be in a longer game. But it still is a useful and tricky to master mechanic. Yes, it is. I've heard the legend of the fourth nail before, but it was great hearing it again. And having it play a part in the game. And he's like the 0.05% of people who have heard the legend of the fourth nail. That's impressive. I'm considering adding it to our own game. Well done, Rachel. I regret the warden missed most of the final conflict. I was looking forward to him unleashing some revenge on Ryan Effing Nelson. Actually, he did. I did. I cut off his head. You were there for at least that. You didn't miss the final two episodes, but you were there for the death. No, it could be else. But you were there for the death of Ryan. I don't think I'd cast a single spell. No, I was waiting for you to open it up. Rachel was too, because you just kept doing this wind spell filled up for like three weeks. Thanks. It was such potential there. Three weeks. I don't want to hold it up, but we got thoughts about that too. Okay. London and Roberto are very strong alpha personalities at the table. If they actually work together, it would be scary. It wouldn't be any fun either. I really enjoyed the energy of London and his scene with the white court vampires at the cafe was one of my favorite. Using a fake point to declare that he owed London a favor was beautifully smooth. However, a few things rubbed me wrong about the way, and I think other folks at the table were starting to react as well. The aspect of, but I'm London, basically gives him another high concept. As an aspect, it can be tapped almost 100% of the time. Also, that the attempts to make presence work in ways it's not supposed to. The command part of presence is about leadership with underlings, not someone at the negotiating table. It's great for modifying other optional social skills, but rarely gets rolled itself. I don't know if I would agree with that. I don't know that would either, but I think we did start using it a little bit later on in that capacity as the story went on as an initiative. Isn't it like say, use some other skill and persuasion gives you, or presence, excuse me, gives you a plus one or plus two to the most? Which is part of the reason I'm glad they came down the skill list from fake court and better defined how the skills work for social conflicts. Keep up the great work and enjoy testing, Dresden accelerated. I think he's got a valid point about London being, you can almost roll that up into your high concept. Yeah, maybe it should be his high concept. We talked about this. It's not terribly descriptive. It was more egocentric, or more medical, that it's all about himself. When we were going over my sister's house, Thomas was going to do some art for her. We discussed this. I was saying there's a couple of different ways if you rename that aspect. Like, I control social events. I am the master of my own destiny. Yeah, if you gave it a different name that had to do with really ruling social areas, you can almost say that's what he used it for. He never used it for anything else, really. But, in a way, it could be almost like a sociopathic quality that gives him strength, that he can apply it to stuff, and it can also be a negative that affects other people the way it does. I never give up, or maybe he's been here in Iran. Right, but you're in London. You can't let it go. You can bounce him off of that, too. I'm just saying people here, but I'm London, and they say, "Well, you are London, so therefore you're using it as a high concept." Well, I think you gave it a different name than just applying social. I was only using it for social, but there's no way I'm changing that name. Right. It's part of who he is, but I only use it for social. I've never used it in a combat situation, but I'm London. This is never in combat. Please! Well, I got my low first dirty last adventure. But, in a way, it's like when someone who's a celebrity, or a strong personality, refers to themselves in the third person. Oh, he would totally refer to himself in the third person. Well, that's what I mean, that is almost becomes a persona. Right. And that persona has, I would imagine-- We were trying, Thomas and I were trying to come up with a situation where he did use, but I'm London. That wasn't social. I didn't think we could find one. I think I tried one time to use it in a situation that was social, but you thought it really didn't apply, and you just bitch-flapped me down. Right. I'm pretty sure you were-- Well, technically, the whole group. I think I remember you saying that, but we're pretending to be one of the white court vampires. I can't remember which one one of the family heads, and you're like, "But I'm London!" And you're like, "But you're not London right now!" You're being this other person. Or else you're someone else. Which is why renaming might actually be a plus. He could actually use it in that situation. My problem with the whole idea of replacing it, because he's using it too often, is that it doesn't actually subtract from anything. Just because he's using it in place of his high concept doesn't mean much because you only have so many fake points. He's never in any situation in which we talked about him because, as well, he used both at the same time. He's not using it as a second high concept, so we shouldn't remove it because he is. Yeah, I couldn't even have any situation where you use your high concept and your bottom London. I couldn't even say that. I don't use a moral sear to the supernatural powers as a aspect very often. I mean, it defines who he is and what he does, but it really isn't something I tap very often. It's something with a rep on it that I was almost concerned with, but I didn't use it a whole lot. It's been there, done that, because he's 60 something and it could play it almost. Well, it could have played anything, but if you don't overuse it, in that case, I thought it did apply. Because he'd been around and seen things. I think part of the problem is Scott tends to hold back all of his fate and then just bones in one big move, which is how he plays his character. That ends up with him doing outrageously powerful things, and then people use it, which I really don't think the case. As an analog, I think of London a lot how the character Sherlock on the BBC show is, where he has this quality that he is this powerful, but he is a sociopath, but that works for him in situations, but also works against him. That's a line for one of Sherlock's does he? Oh, someone died and he says something. Two seconds later. Their homes go Watson, it's cringes and shakes his head. He's like, "What, too soon?" Yeah, so that's, I'm just throwing that out there. Yeah, I think the biggest complaint would be the use of presence. Yeah, and that was kind of scaled back from the first story to the second story. The first story was way overuse in the second story. It could be a little more reasonable. Yeah. And if you still wanted to do that, you could still take stumps. No, but to be fair, I mean, he's chopped up a list of heavies that he's knocked out. With his negotiations and skills and presence, you know, so. Someone let me shut up. That says, "I got a sword in magic and he's got his mouth." Yes. It's got a magic. Never mind. Never mind. On Facebook, on episode 192, Steve Ella posted in it and said, "I appreciate this episode. It gives some closure to the campaign and clears the palette for the next one." That is how conclusions go. Well, good conclusions go. I would argue. In our general posting area, Kyle Hurd said, "You guys talked a bit about giving D&D 5th edition a shot at some point. And you have my vote for the system. Most of the D&D podcasts that I listened to haven't been as RP-centric as you guys are. And I'd be really interested in hearing your take on D&D. Plus, I want a good recommendation before I drop $150 on it. So we'll do that before we go. They're 50 bucks a pop and you're talking D&D, the player guy, the D&M. How much do you get paid cost? Pay what you want. Oh, boy. It's all ready to pay what you want. And the other one's like what? $19. And other than the hard-capped book to get a digital download as well? Sure, sure. 'Cause they went away from digital for a while because they said everybody was stealing there. There's a free version right now. Well, there is a free download version. So Jack comes to my book. First by Balls. I've downloaded that. Has anyone read it? No, I haven't. No, I haven't. I got one. For the record on September 19th, Michael and I are going through a convention. And one of the things we already signed up for was creating fifth edition characters and then playing an adventure. Oh, cool. So we will definitely have some feedback on that. Just really quick. They seem to try to inject a lot more of that kind of fake stuff that I've seen. Storytelling. The storytelling. The three prongs. The exploration. The role play. And the... Combat. There's some things that I'm like, oh, so that's where they kind of went back to what it was pre-four. We can talk about it more like third edition. It's a little bit more like third edition, but they have some interesting choices that I think might accelerate the game, but I don't know. The arch times. Michael's plan has always been with any D20 system is the one die-in. From what I've heard, they've added a couple mechanics. They've tried it. Yeah. They're trying to address that, I think. You can roll two die-ins. You can roll two die-ins. You can roll two. That's interesting. Also in the general area, Paul Bennett posted and said, "I'm about to start listening to everything. Starting with shitlock, you are entirely to blame." I can't argue with that. We are to blame. We created it. I think some of that earlier stuff is somewhere that's strong to stuff. I think it's all good. The quality gets better as we go along simply because we have better equipment and better editing and better practices like turning it off. But as far as the stories go and the role-playing goes, I think it's been strong all the way through. I'd have to clear that. We have a Patreon update. Steve joined us and we're getting one step closer to having a free T-shirt each month. Thanks, Steve. Back to Facebook just briefly, the fan page we had, a post put up saying that's 200th episode is coming up and if anybody had suggestions on what they want us to do. Some of the suggestions said, "Well, first of all, I started with, we're not doing a video podcast. Period. End of story. We're not doing it." And there were a few suggestions for videos. Yes, there was at least a hand here. I really want that. Then everybody said video, video. I was thinking that we could maybe do something fairly. Just take a photo and then touch up the photo and cover our faces with different characters or something. I'll put a character. It might be worth showing a picture. I mean, we're not ugly. All right. Oh my group. The bartender there. Right. It would be the worst thing in the world to post first. Some of the suggestions were a group photo. Someone suggested a double feature, like two episodes, I guess. Can you do it? Yeah, I could. It would be a two hour long episode. I don't know that we find that. Or two separate episodes. One hour each. Yeah, but that messes up people's downloads. This is for Mike. Someone suggested old war stories where we sit around and tell old adventures. Tripping out. Mike's always wanted to. Mike's always wanted to do that every week. I was going to say that. We're going on a quarter. Yeah, like a game's pass. You remember that adventure? I got really interested for a second. Wait, you guys were all in a war? You're so much poorer than me. We have been in so many wars. It was so illegal for many of me to be warned. One suggestion was a live question and answer. Like we have a Google+ session going on where they can ask. Because the comment was that they'll send in a question and we'll answer it. And that will raise other questions. We're like, can we focus on, but we can't. We can't because we can't get the portfolio on Twitch channel. That might make try not to explode. They might. Just a full episode of Nothing But Feeds. No, I wouldn't come. But they would want to hear from me. We would reply to you and then make sure. I can't remember who it was. Some of us suggested tons of photographs. So apparently they're going to make an animated GIF of the entire night and it would be like a movie but different. Right. No. And Joyce might go, what do you got? Roll a water. And one of the listeners suggested that we record a session and then give it to Jason and he animate the entire hour long thing. Yeah, nice. Jason said that would take him like ten and a half years. Right. I just got it. Let's get on with it. We got to take a group photo of all of us standing in front of a door. Like all of us. Like all of us. With a Rubik's Cube sitting. Can I be like questioning it? Yeah. Yeah. Probably. I don't want this door. You can be the one on the other side. Yeah. You can carry a hand. Yeah. Roberto would be on the other side going, what the fuck, guys? I just went around through the wall. I do have a sword so we can use that. I said yes. And I'll have a card that says it's Ryan fucking Nelson. Let's move. Because I was so pissed that we sat there talking about him for a half hour. So look at the vote really quick. It has come down dramatically. Zelda is definitely still in the lead. Yeah. Zelda. And Maxwell is moved one vote ahead of Roberto. So second place for Maxwell. Maxwell. That's the rest of the massacre. Yeah. I think I can get the table from up here without getting people in it. Someone was asking for what our table looked like. It's a ping pong table. It's a ping pong table. We set up a link to a ping pong table. It's a ping pong table. It's not a link to a ping pong table. It's a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. It's a link to a ping pong table. And he said that he thought it would be a neat idea if we had an online convention because our fans are all over the world, that if we had like one day when our KO team would meet up play games. Again, through Google+ would be the way to do it because it's all over the place. That's an interesting idea. I've known other people who have done it. I'd probably have to contact M&C. They don't do second life or anything like that, anything like that. I don't think so. I don't know. It's a status sweater. No, I don't. I have no idea. I don't. I don't know. But with that, that's the end of the feedback. We're still getting pizza on Amazon, so thank you everyone. The holiday season is starting up, so. Starting off, we're coming up on Christmas. It's not even October. I've seen Christmas trees out at Home Depot. Oh. But I'm not really online. I was going to say, they were dry out. It's literally Halloween now, I suppose. Yeah, they really started around Halloween. You'll go there like the day before Halloween the other Christmas trees. Can you close the day? But you can just shop now. Go through our link. We appreciate it. And again, when we get to 60 on Patreon, we'll start. Are we giving out a t-shirt? So we appreciate everyone on Patreon and everyone that uses Amazon and anyone who supports the podcast. And with that, we will get on to our return to the world of darkness. Yeah, good. Sorry, I moved over to this chair, so it's going to sign a little bit different. But we didn't mention that we've taken a look at it accelerated. We haven't played it yet. And we can't really go into the details of how it's different than the regular dressing game. But I have to say, it's different than the dressing game. It's got some things that are significantly different. And I don't know if they're going to stay in all the way through the alpha testing and beta, but a few pieces of it are pretty big changes. It's definitely slimmed down quicker, easier to run, skill list is very small, just like accelerated is compared to core. There's only like sex as opposed to double that with core. How much of this can you read? It's already read accelerated. Well, see, it's going to be released because it's based on accelerated, and accelerated only has six skills. So I'm not saying anything about dressing, but I'm saying there was a couple, at least two or three things that were specific to the dressing accelerated that when I read them, I was like, whoa, that's different. That's a big thing, big change. So we'll probably update as we go along, we actually play it on what we thought of it. We can give that at least. We can't really give any details because a lot of it's going to change. And if somebody hates something and then it's going to flavor it or love something and it's taken out. Right. Do you think your next episode of dressing will be dressing accelerated or did you think? I don't know because I haven't played it yet, but my first initial would probably say no because as accelerated, it's a much higher level. So the characters aren't as detailed. And I think John and Thomas both were a little disappointed with that aspect of it is being your characters can't be as detailed as ours already are. Would we want to once one shot at just where are we? We might. Couple. We might. We'll see. But one of the main reasons we're not doing it with the main group is we can't release it. We're on their NDAs and we need content. So we're going to play what we like to play. World of Darkness. Just to bring everybody up who listen or why that's where we are so far with accelerated. This is your storyteller Scott with the third installment of the vanishing city chronicle. This story will be called The Sin Eater. And with us tonight are John, Thomas, Mike, Tom, Jim, and Rachel. We're missing Michael and Bob and the reason I'm being so informal this evening is because we're just going to be taking most of tonight to transition our characters from World of Darkness first edition to World of Darkness second edition where there have been some pretty severe rule changes with the third. It's like, yes it is, but they call it 2E. But anyways, we're going to switch the characters over to the new rule mechanics of the god machine chronicle. Moving on to the conversion, I made some sheets up for everyone which will probably end up being posted online. The first note on the sheet is each character has five experience to spend and the group has 15 practical experience to share as each of you see fit. So as the last story comes to a close, everyone has five experience to spend. And again, that 15 practical experience to divvy up as you see fit among your members. Is that a piddling little? You know, experience in this particular game has a little bit more pop to it of what experience is a bit more than in god machine or that a little in god machine for attack. Characters do not add a weapons rating to their attack dice pull. Okay. So in the past, Jay, this is a big one for you actually that's been good in the long run because there's actually a good thing that comes out of it. You would just roll your dexterity plus your firearms, plus specialties and then, plus these specialties, then if you hit your entire weapon damage hits, so it's not a one in three chance each time you roll a die 10 hoping for an eight, nine, or a 10. It's that's the automatic damage that's done plus the successes you roll during your attack roll. Jeez. So everyone's gonna be rolling smaller die pulls, but doing more damage when they hit. You're talking about the bad guys, right? That would do. Yeah. If you have a scope, that counts, Jay. You would get that added on. So what? Damage? No. To the attack roll. So scope would count as an attack dice. That helps you actually aim. Right. How much is skills again? One point? No. Right. And then it's cumulative, right? So if I'm going to rank two, I have to pay for the first rank and pay for the second rank. And so two for rank one and then four for rank two for total six. I wanted a new pick. There's no reason to change. He's perfect the way he is. Yeah. You still want to look at the merits in here because they might assign beats or which are experienced. No, he's got on his. It might be exactly the same, but a lot of them did change. Do we have like a faceman for this group, like who's really strong in persuasion or do we need? Fox. Chew. Chew's pretty good to talk. Chew is quite the conversationalist. He handled the social combat role, I think, with the vampire and with the child beater and with the wife, the ex-wife of Donnie Danny. Tossing a girl up in a household with a sort of offer. Yeah. Somebody get a lot of time to meet a person. Yeah. Chew definitely has the experience for it. I'm going to get weapon training from J. Alton because I certainly need it. Guns are weapons. I don't know. I already have a pretty decent weapon, skill and knife, but I've run a knife to a gunfight and I'm going to learn. I'm shocked. I'm going to get a shot round of weapons. Don't worry. I did the same thing. I took in a sniper with a knife and I lost. I'm surprised. So, Jim, if you go on through your skills as well, I haven't even started some kind of skills yet. Okay. So you still work on attributes? Are you keeping sister-cated the same or? You know, I'm trying to figure out how it works again and what attributes affect what skills and what she should be good at and what she shouldn't be good at and should I have? Well, where are we doing this? Should I take another attribute point and subtract one from here and put one there? I've got four points to specialty. Is that reasonable? So if I do the math, I've got-- You and I, we've been through a lot together. I know. I've been through a lot together. There's a lot of stuff. And not just two, like, adventures, two kind of epic adventures, long adventures where there was a lot going on and a lot of chances and a lot of experience. I guess I don't worry about this too much, though. I'm not sure enough. Yeah, you're a character. I don't even know where to be. Ain't no munchkin that can kick ass. Yeah, I'm a little sorry. I'm just-- I've learned enough about guns that I'm gonna get to, I'm gonna spend my points and get to that's in fire because I've just learned a hard way that I want to have a weapon. You learn that you need to learn it. I want a new gun and a new set of lock picks. Thank you, Santa. Buddha. Buddha? Oh, I'm proud of Buddha. When the manuals got a new gun. Yeah, well, you stole it from a dead guy. In the original, uh, you wanted to be a wardrobe when they meet Santa and he gives him the weapons. Mm-hmm. I always liked his line there. These are toys. These are tools. That's right, Santa. You give them weapons to go beat up on the ice cream. How would you use just a parkour, Merritt? Yep. I missed that. You have to scream. How many dots does it require? Parkour. Parkour. Should I get which buster things? Which button do we need to kill them? Ghost rounds. I don't know, man. We faced some ghosts. There's this bleeder thing where you pointed out a vampire and all their blood gussles out of them and they die. Well, we deep face a vampire and I would love to watch that happen. Didn't show up on the menu. I don't want the meal there, Ken. But it's not an... The bad meal, Ken. Is it possible? There's five points. It's just the only one. It should totally be the bad meal. All right, you need to have status. Street-wise one. And keep it real. Mmm. It should be worse. I haven't had one, but I was in a gang. My explanation is I'm out of my element. Actually, it's because I hang with Jay Alton. That's my cred. That's what I should have. I do. That's what I want. How well connected on the street to you? I know this guy. That's exactly one. I'm not too bad. He's bad ass. Undoubtedly. Yeah, I just changed like my four and five. My question will judge when it comes to wearables, but... Doesn't matter. Around. So I could... What judgment can you have? My strength is very stable. How do you stand up on that one more? My intelligent widths result pull out one last. Okay. Apparently we were okay if you keep them in a garage. After they eat your friends. Yeah, keep track of that. That's me. So you want to eat any help with any endowment? Endowment? Endowment yet? Why are you taking the correct... What are all your endowments? Are those merits? No. Endowments are the things that you're... Your specific conspiracy grants you like the age's kind or would have... Oh. What are you... You see relics. Oh, they have. So my knife and the... Do this cause difference from merits? Endowments. Endowments cost the same as merits because they're just offshoot of the merits. What are aspirations again? Your question. That will be... Well, I'll hit that at the end. Let's just get the character in sheets. My end... I can't have changed my merits yet. So if I wanted to take good and stuff, a skill that I didn't have, the first dot would cost me two. Two. The second dot would cost... Four. Four. So a total of six. You come up with a vice and a virtue for your character now. Are they different? Yes. You don't need to pick one of the seven deadly sins or one of the seven... I kind of like mine. Go for it. You don't need to. You can't. It just says that you don't have to select one of those because it's not... Now, for example, I was looking at this merit called unseen sense and you have to declare who... Yes. Right. For you, spirits might be something that's good because of your... That's a lot. Right. And that's what I was thinking of. But then I saw this note here that says that the character takes "God machine" as the focus. That a character can also see through concealment, infrastructure, seeing the gears where no one... I'm just saying, is there any reason to... Your character doesn't even know what the God machine is and best of my knowledge. So what's your flaw? Your essence flaw. What's that? Essence and flaw. That means I'm like a beacon for spiritual entities. Which doesn't have anything to do with all the spirits you guys have run into. The last two stories. Nothing at all. Well, I'm glad to hang out with you because that's what my conspiracy is all about. I can tell you all about how it is terrible to be written by spirits. But I'm built. And you have been written by spirits. I have been written by spirits. You guys have a lot to really commiserate about, which is why you're going to be sitting together during the story. Oh, good. Yeah. That's... The whole story is going to be taking place in the hospital as well. I got rid of this car as we did all the way around. So I died earlier today. So if we go to the hospital, I'd be great. I can't afford all this stats anymore. Of course not. That's how it works. That's kind of cool. I'm a psychokinesis. Oh yeah. That can be neat. Is it something we're allowed to pick? Yeah, it's a merit. That's a moment. You can justify it. It was a supernatural man. It is a supernatural merit. But you guys are supernatural actors. Am I going somewhere where I'm not like you're fine? No, you're fine. You don't look at those things. You just need to be able to justify it. As long as you can justify it in character, that's fine. I can throw shit with my brain. It's honest. You can get a nimity in points. What was that? Your character lives off the grid. Oh. Am I... I have an eye timer. That was Danny Rockland. Yeah. That was anonymity. The spin purchases must be made with cash. I decided to actually take a social skill. What? Any attempts to find... Besides animal chem? Yeah. Subterfuge. I couldn't think of what else to think of. Not empathy. Not anything like that social line. She knows what socialization... She knows what socialization... She knows how to be asked what she'd be asking for. That makes you with that. Perfect none. Great. You don't like talking to people. Have you, uh... Have you seen this cursed merit? I don't understand why you take the cursed merit, except that your GM says you've got it. A game plus two and any result plus composure all to face fear or self doubt. You know, you're so used to getting... Taking an additional beat. I don't know what a beat is. It's an experienced point. It's basically an increment of an experienced point. It's knowledge. It's something that happens to you that you learn from. And when you get four of them, it turns into an experienced point. So four beats equal one experienced point. That's how you get experienced points now. Is there any value in having that? Sure. For your storyline. Cursed? Well, while she knows how she'll die, this is actually a liberating experience. She's confident of the method of her death, so nothing else faces her. So like I... House sets on fire and you say, "I know I'm going to drown." Yeah. So I'm not going to... This isn't my time. Yeah. And then you fall out of the house into the lake and you go, "Oh, fuck!" I mean, think about that. That's... Why do I look next to her leg? That's like... "Oh my God, the fire hose." No! It's one of those things where, you know, you can say like, "This isn't how I go." Do you have that? Yep. I don't know if that's the kind of thing. Did you see or show Rachel the post by Skye? Skye Wise? No. I don't tend to... It was a... It was in the fan page. It was a task force siren handbook by his third edition. At any critical moment of a mission a teammate may say the phrase, "I got this. This is code for abort and evacuate immediately." Task Force siren does not at this time acknowledge the existence of such squats, yet a big foot, or related creatures. If anyone asked, and your Morgan is simply a mountain man. Don't squawk too loudly about sniper boss. Not all zombies are hoo-hoo zombies. Five, and you discover a werewolf sleeping in the garage. It's all right. He's cool. Six werewolves and Aegis Kaiduru are ancient and implacable enemies, much like children and nuns. Seven mandatory drug testing may not apply to all members of your team. All that got. Eight. If at breakfast you find your toes to be unbuttered, note that Michael Clay is not the one to ask to rectify the situation. He's procrastinated? Yes. A little bit. A little bit. Nine, never... These are good. Never, under any circumstances are you to ask Agent Chew Park about his childhood and 10, never leave the safe house without your leatherman. Oh, that's good. Oh, that's added more, but I think those were my friends. Your vise and virtue are going to work very similar to vise and virtue that they did in the regular world of darkness. It's just you get to choose your vise and your virtue now. It doesn't have to be one of the seven deadly sins. We're all in vise steps. Well, more or less. Well, our advantages. So if I weren't going to pay... Those are the things you did. We'll power speed, things like that. The seven vices are seven virtues. What would I do? Well, if you weren't going to pick one of those, you would look in that book for examples. How do you think this? Example virtues. Peaceful, loving, honest, humble, trustworthy, loyal. I was looking at all my characters when I realized all my other ones don't like being an adventurer. Like Maxwell does it because it saves lives and Felix doesn't like anything. Right. But I was looking at a garden. I was like... Maybe he likes it. Maybe he likes it. That's right. All the weird shit that happens to him. I don't want to extrapolate that into something. Yeah, you should extrapolate that into something, perhaps in those example vices as well there. And it tells you how you're going to get back your willpower points by doing that. Hmm. You know, I think because of all my divine actions, are those where you spend your... Connections... Connections. That maybe my character is a quick healer. I don't want to get into the peace. You can experience point. I'll go back to zero beats. But you also told me something. They can do something with willpower. Yes. You can buy back willpower with experience points. Not bass, but... Not bass. Okay. Beats are really nothing until they get to five. It's really a... It doesn't mean anything until you get to five and turns into an experience point. Okay. It's just a dramatic use of measurement. In the past, I've read up on variants of World of the Darkness, and the title of this particular one reminded me of one of them. I didn't want to like... Oh, no. If it has something to do with it. It'll have something to do with that. Yeah. I don't actually know. Because it's a damn variant. It's like a cool sin-eater. That's a pretty... That's a pretty wicked description. So I liked it. Doing it right now, we're going to spend our practical experience yet. Our great leader is... We haven't decided to probably get away. We'll be checking ours and download it. It shows up. If we doled it out equally, it would be... How many of us? Six. About three. Six. Three would be eighteen. left over but you can also buy tactics with them so you guys want to learn a tactic like I don't know I have to look in the hunter boat but I'm sure there's something that you guys did in this last adventure that is related to tactics yeah the previous tactics that we have I kind of like it's what do you think about this car I know I'm gonna go backwards to a l i n e adrenaline you don't the trained observer wait do I have the wits and oh I don't have a oh it's or composure ah good I got it trained observer your character has spent years in the field catching tiny details and digging for secrets that's right in line with what I do archaeologist yeah and that's kind of like also computer hacker and occultist and investigation so I think i want you to spend to get the free version it's two per right so six merits are one per three you wouldn't spend yeah long for the first trying to know for the merits it's one point per dot yep so it's not like one no one two just three okay thank you three is three three is three no you know what I'm not multiplying them fuck it this is my game i get to decide i read that no more cost no multiplication it's the lower cost okay so if you want to go like from four attribute strength dexterity to five it costs five it doesn't cost five times four right equals twenty it just costs one well costs four per dot and you're buying one dot you're you're going up to dot five so you're spending four points that's it i'm not multiplying it i refuse to multiple it all right i already ready i think i just have one more point that one of these you can change time one of these experiences can be used to purchase one merit dot or a skill specialty two of these by one skill dot yeah or add an attribute dot that's pretty straightforward no more for add a multitude add an attribute dot not for add the first attribute dot because you always get the first attribute dot for free right so it always have to be the second attribute dot you're adding and it would be eight then it wouldn't be four and they said it's four so we're right it's the lower cost if you want to go attribute from four to five you're buying one attribute dot four points but that does change how 20 kills i bought four so i want to take my dexterity to a five it costs four if you're going from three it costs eight points if you're going from four it costs i have four dexterity now and i want to go to five four experience points should the text one thing one dot in multilingual and i get to choose two languages which i have a conversational level sure because in archaeologist he had to be pretty oh yeah he'll be able to speak some encryption or under safe house i'm just going to write down misname eight so eight no first thing well you guys can actually build a safe house with your practical experience you can use your practical experience to really make your safe house a safe house it's a merit all right i want to stick with that i have a virtue that i'm just i thought you're going to pick just i thought daniel i thought of just i can't really think of a virtue from what i mean i was like it's irish no no i don't want to remake or put up violent is pretty good hateful pessimistic what are you a little arrogant yeah i had pride before i said i guess i could just slip it into that right honestly you're looking forward to vice-niversion or just a vice or just a virtue but first i want to look at merits again because i have a point i certainly acquired scat having to make your right character more interesting i was thinking about taking an unseen sense you want to make sure you don't obviously overlap with anyone else mike when did you take anything to see the spirits the unseen sense i did not take the unseen okay what were you hoping to see i'm sorry unless we publicly decided that i can tap two dots from the pool you needed eight no no because it didn't cost eight anymore remember it didn't cost as much in unseen sense there's only a consensus to get the unseen merit it cost two dots and it cost two per dot to get a merit so it ended up being four points is that right no no just i think you say i think i thought uh no it's just two dots it's just two dots and you need to have a wits of probably oh merits cost one for dot sorry sorry thanks and i was gonna i was going to i was either gonna you want to see that people witches well of course i was going to see vampires because that's what she haunts but i don't see why she picked that up along the way malleous maleficara is that the hammer of the witches yeah your number one for your conspiracy your number one rival our witches or warlocks because you're there i was gonna say just from whenever she could remember she's always had maybe a creepy just feeling it with the undead being around maybe she knows that i don't know you know you could do vampire it doesn't matter to me yeah i'll work it in the story whether you pick witches or vampires or whatever i mean one of the reasons i don't want to dull out the practical experiences if we're starting right in the middle of the thing we're going to pick up new tactics that we're making sense yeah what makes sense you guys well it could if you picked the tactic that you employed or thought wow that'd been fucking good if we had if we would have done this i mean i see you guys talking about them you way back to the car you're in in sugar and right if we have to do so i mean i just i think you could justify it as long as you pick something that you did in the field for the story but if you don't want to that's okay you could hold back and reserve as well wait a second something is not right here because integrity and breaking points okay my integrity okay integrity your integrity takes the place of morality whatever your morality was last which i think here is eight just place your integrity like are you looking at the unseen sense not yet that eight or seven there are your integrity that's the default oh i don't think we ever so everyone has integrity of seven unless their morality was lower than that during the story or went up higher than that breaking points are written on the integrity breaking points are actually i thought they were somewhere else okay i assume they were related to that because they're on the same step yeah we're going to create some breaking points for your character things that if he were to do them would cause him to question his integrity you know like his internal integrity of who daniel is lines to cross and then that leads to to bad things happening like derangements because before derangements were tied to morality which didn't make a lot of sense what if you did horrible things you basically became schizophrenic they changed the wording to integrity to be like your your internal sense of self and if you break through those points you have a chance of losing that that sense of self oh when tamas is done picking up his virtue make one up tamas feel like one of the book what are you hopeful if you guys doesn't get down very often is anyone else on integrity or breaking points no no one's there you can also spend america and get more than one vice or virtue because those are your keys to getting willpower back so your character might be hopeful and trustworthy that way in a scene you don't have to force something like i kind of be hopeful somehow in the scene you get willpower back and go oh no obviously trustworthy you have other options you can't earn double the willpower back it just gives you more options for earning willpower back or vices for earning it back you have two vices i'm a drunkard and a liar you know and that's if you lie or drink you're going to get some willpower back during the story is it what you say are more like aspects now that we get to make them up oh no wait no you were considering adding something like an aspect no there's something out called aspirations the end which are kind of similar and i'm twin with the idea in the story of letting you do willpower after your role let's think like i want to spend the point of willpower no more about integrity and breaking points um morality trait has been replaced by integrity integrity measures how well a character can cope with the traumatic and supernatural events in his life a character stands to lose integrity when she experiences a breaking point when a character performs certain actions or endures certain experiences he might reach a breaking point a breaking point replacing a sin in the original rules simply means what the character has done or seen has outstripped his ability to rationalize or handle it now that would be like the whole last adventure right it's in those great points when you fall into one of the following categories a character performs an action that either violates his personal moral code or that is considered unacceptable in society the character witnesses something traumatic terrifying or that grittles is understanding of the world the character is a victim of a supernatural attack whether physical emotional or mental breaking points are somewhat subjective a homicide detective with 30 years of experience and seeing dead bodies and hearing confessions of killers has a somewhat higher tolerance for human gravity than a shelter 20 something in the middle class liberal arts college during character creation it might be advisable for the storyteller to come up with several hypothetical situations so the character can determine if in her judgment those situations would be breaking points it goes on we don't mean to so what is the one issue that your character has ever done that's your first breaking point if you go beyond that it's a breaking point for your character huh okay this doesn't have to be anything dastardly but the worst character that we're done with steel money from his mother's purse and line cover up about it that's fine so what's important here is to consider you character did made him hate himself oh this superlative worst is something that the character would apply so this is not doesn't mean to private you know deprived it just has to be the worst thing your character is ever done i changed my advice to wrath because you killed me for a lot because you are very bitchy none she's she's she's gotta get in a box right me or really try to get those kids moving so there's gonna be five breaking points for your character which determine whether or not your integrity goes up or down integrity is like morality in the in the last in the last version what is the worst thing that your character has ever done so what is the worst thing that daniel's ever done that's the first one what is the worst thing that mike sorry they're using mike as an example in the book can imagine himself doing driving a corn car like me is that pretty easy number three there's five of them what is the worst thing you can imagine someone else doing and this is your character in the game the worst thing michael claim might have done was covet a artifact and touch it when he wasn't supposed to might have been the worst thing your characters ever done or it might be you know converting with spirits behind him back and letting them ride you into a yeah conclusion to a story that saved the worst thing someone else is doing what no if you can imagine what can katie like what katie thinks all that person's bad i mean does katie think without getting into the worst thing i've done like you don't really the worst thing i can imagine myself doing what's the worst thing i can imagine someone else doing before getting into abstractions like the character you probably have a tough time actually considering someone committing genocide it's easy to extract that okay i thought i would you care to imagine someone killing someone with their bare hands you know that might be the worst thing that you can imagine someone doing or converting a child it's i mean michael clay if that's not his number one i just put child abuse right i have my number one is uh put the acquisition of secret knowledge above human life which that's the worst thing you've ever done yeah which and then what's the worst thing you can imagine yourself doing which is where i wrote child abuse michael can imagine himself abusing children no no i think he said right what's the worst thing you can imagine someone else doing is that's a third one okay so i want to see what's the way i get up what's the worst thing i can imagine doing here yeah so what's the worst thing you've done what's the worst thing you can imagine doing and what's the worst thing you can imagine someone else doing the fourth one for anyone who's ready is what has your character forgotten and what they mean by forgotten is each of you were exposed to the world of darkness everyone just goes along not seeing supernatural creatures not knowing that there is evil like that out there you all had something happened to you in the dark recesses of your mind that opened up the world of darkness to you and what have you seen and forgotten i know exactly what yours is and it says forgotten but your case doesn't have to be forgotten they can just be that werewolf and if you see something it's more traumatic than that than your character would reach a breaking point because it's just too much this one wasn't really you saw a guy moving around quickly you know the vampire at the end you saw a guy shooting people with a gun i mean you saw your friends had the explosion from you guys that was fucking fucked up i was fucked up it you know and it should have been a breaking point for you but we'll get to that but the point being it that might have been worse than the werewolf but it wasn't supernatural in a sense so what supernatural thing have you forgotten or maybe not forgotten just saw and then or remember forget want to forget that's good Jim actually that's very good want to forget the last one is what is the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to your character and those are your five breaking points which will affect your integrity which as your integrity goes down you have a chance of picking up derangements jay you're familiar with those when tony bonadillo tackled the beat creature henry jacobs need turning to a beat creature your character picked up the derangement of a phobia of beats so as your integrity goes down you pick up more and more phobias and derangements and all these horrible things that eventually leads you down a slippery slope to can you cure these flaws yes you can you can spend will it's the last one is what is the most traumatic thing that's ever happened to your character you can spend experience points to say that you're you're acclimating yourself the situation you can raise your integrity up that way or you can roleplay it so for instance jay could say i'm going to see a psychologist and i'm going to talk about my b issues and there's going to be um tried to stop him doing that exactly and he's sorry he won't he still has the problem he loved but you could do that you could you could resolve it in some way work for six months at a monastery is a beekeeper you could you know i'm an apearest right uh oh that actually was one you were involved in a period well i think i got it fair enough i'm sticking with jay's virtues as faith and pride and i'm adding another virtue which is selflessness and that costs america point though because it allows you to try it that's fine but it's his oh yeah he's selfless yeah i mean he's standing behind no no go go go he's always been selfless since the story started that makes perfect sense and it'll give you another chance to pick up all your willpower points in a scene if you're able to use your virtue for that i'm keeping on fairness and greed okay and i've got my five breaking points i think excellent um if you go to the sheet that i gave you this is hunter specific changes the first one is a change if anyone wants to pull it out real quick what don't ask to leave just wrapping up yeah keep it keep it mature man um risking willpower this changes it's actually better now when you risk willpower if you're successful you pick up one practical beat that means as a group beat for everyone in your group so you pick up one practical beat you do not remove the willpower point what you never did before if you risk it you have to keep it as long as you roll to success and refreshes one of the character's best willpower points so not only do you not lose the point you had you gain one through the success so all of a sudden risking willpower is fucking awesome you get a beat you get an extra willpower point if you're successful and you don't lose the willpower point you have and not only that but you get to pick two effects not just one before you can say i'm going to add three dice to my role or i'm going to take nine again in this role or i'm going to say an exceptional success is three successes instead of five you're able to do those before but you had to pick one of them now you get to pick two of them and they both apply to your role so risking willpower just kicks ass now we still have the same amount of willpower yes this is our downside yeah when masters hit you now they do all the damage that their weapon damage does we're talking about damage now the game is more lethal it was damn lethal before don't be wrong it is now brutally lethal so all the power and all the more reason to rush up on those real power things is to remove the ten again quality from contested roles against myself it's a good thing i um boxing so if you're competing with someone on a social combat okay you could say i'm risking willpower my first role and she doesn't get ten again on her roles when she's even during that that um that role okay um contested roles never had nine again quality or it again can i usually not just usually get ten again i don't haven't seen any kids it too but i know i'm on this primarily the only thing they do that but you're never gonna have a tested role with guns right that's where that merits um there's a couple of changes to merits the compacts and conspiracies which you can go through and look because you all are a level you have a level of um you have merit points towards your particular conspiracy uh yours may not be in there yours isn't gonna be tana so you're going to stay the same i thought status in mind remember yes and if you go to ages kydoru you can see at one you can purchase the relics endowment which you're going to do and three you can choose relics specialty in academics or occult which i already had written down which explains why i had that right and it's like the one thing they have there um and the inter interdisciplinary specialty and area of expertise merits from page 161 to 163 of the god machine chronicles so give you some more options there at three that you could expect your points on Jim you are malleus melof caram how many dots do you have in that big one okay well the same then in time you can see yours in there as well for the ascending ones yeah something there's nothing i don't know if you got a three or not and you're i had two so you're right on a cusp and you might want to think about spending a third point what a merits cut one one yeah one uh um also there's changes to seepast there are some changes to endowments if you look at elixirs it's changed relics mike i don't think you have any of the relics in question here but if you did it would change that's all in third what do you do you want to the canvas changed yeah i was thinking about that okay mike do you want to revisit the relic i've used the knife and it had it had special powers i don't have it written down here i have it at home i think because it gave me knowledge and it gave insight right stuff like that do you want to keep that i'm fine with it it's i mean it's part of your character's story line now okay i am really other than i guess i've used Jim there's such a thing as benedictions and if you have the boon of lazarith it's changed i think i that sounds i thought you had like some castigation you know castigations are um illusive urge to think which is this son's or daughter's a single something say um practical experience that's changed as well at the end of the important scenes the storyteller builds a pool of practical beats and i would pass them out as i would have done for practical experience before um risking willpower right tactics now have changed as well time on the very last page tactics now cost of three practical experience two practical experience that the cell member is a member of a favored compact or conspiracy if you recall when you look at tactics it says which compacts and conspiracy to use those tactics most often so it only costs two practical experience for that or all members of different ones though additionally you have to be killed a lot of yeah it could be very good for you additionally when a secondary actor fails a tactic role they can take a beat so if you fuck it up you learn from your experience not a practical beat who's the beat for themselves if they decide to turn their failure into a dramatic failure so if they really fuck up the tactic they get themselves a beat for it what is integrity that's morality from before and it's what those five breaking points we've talked about affect whenever one of those five things happen or something similar that would be approachable to those you would then make an integrity role to see if you kind of assimilate it into your if I heal somebody from death I use my benediction to someone croaks and I use them to bring them back to life yeah I used to lose a willpower now I lose an integrity yeah right basically you're raising someone from the dead that's gonna you can't tell me you're not gonna be you know like maladjusted after that happens that's that's huge it would go to your head you would start thinking you know I could do anything really fucking Jesus Christ you I could raise anybody from the dead that's a huge thing it's not like somewhat or raised someone from the dead and it says yes to make the people crazy that I did it to and now it puts really before the paper system condition just gives it a yeah gives a persistent condition which is basically just like something they have to come to terms with aside a couple of yeah dad you know monsters don't count this is morality integrity which takes place morality it's worth consideration that because morality integrity tracks separate things integrity breaking points probably shouldn't be ignored for killing monsters killing monsters takes its toll on the psyche even for the most hardened hunters at most you should offer a bonus die on a breaking point if a monster looks inhuman or two if the monster isn't even recognizable as humanoid but even with the most monstrous things blood and visceral shock a human's resolve so I saw a lot of things die yesterday yeah he did and we'll see a lot more things die in this story i'm trying to think of what's the creepiest thing that she saw another creepy thing i think she saw was maybe some with those spooky uh those demons shit yeah those deep feet are demons feet are demons those things were freaky i mean i had to be they were whispering and don't forget the time one some kind of spirits oh yeah those yeah she didn't choose on the other side i don't know how close she got to the zombie but those those creatures with the floating heads and the entrails hanging down those things were nasty wasn't your boyfriend consumed alive by something husband i think actually yeah he was he was eaten by or fed out upon upon a vampire what happens is something that's something that that's her thing that this worst thing she ever saw or whatever it was right yeah and sorry Thomas what was that what exactly happens when we reach a breaking point to make a role for that yes you would make a role i have the role somewhere but in that front of me oh they're insane but there's roles basically you make a role you try to assimilate it into your your understanding you know your experience in life and not be too freaked out by it if you fail your role you think of a arrangement something it's it's a condition basically a persistent condition it can it stays on for a while um like a phobia but it could be something worse than that three aspirations two of which could be short term one is supposed to be a long term and what are they again aspirations allow you to pick up beats they're they're positive affirmation things i want to make sure everyone gets home in this farmstead safely and i want to make you i'll be able to see the effect to scenario or what happened it could be about your character i want to make sure i call my dad i'm only visit my dad um and let him know i love him also it's already over daughters okay so there's supposed to be a couple of short-term ones and one one term one and they give examples in the gotten machine chronicles of aspirations just example aspirations achieve the promotion at work make something that will have last prove my loyalty to the team show that i'm not cursed put myself in moral danger just small little character driven aspirations that you want to succeed so from like it might be i want to check in and see that Nico is doing okay i want to i want jay to compliment me i want to get back at binary hacks i want to find a particular artifact and then there's long-term ones can you give us a couple of long-term ones put my daughters goes to rest holy shit become a parent and then i might be re-uploading my boss that's easy i could just count on my important skill become fully independent live longer than the rest of my party because it's become better if you just need to stop find my soul that you do find an unknown biblical gospel and it'd be fucking easy so for jay a long-term aspiration might be to free my sister from the clutches of the ascending ones jagged crescent or whatever offshoot that she was dealing with move my father out of the neighborhood he's in it might be you know there's long-term aspirations one of them she had one long-term aspiration and two short-term aspirations i don't know how you figure out find your sister a better sect of ascending ones to hang with but i think you rather she'd not be able to do it all well i think she's in it so too late she she needs to find but she's in a different flavor of it right yeah but she needs to find someone who does that stuff that is something to back down is that you've gotten into it join us next week for more mystery and adventure no my question was since rachel was like the new member of the group and i don't think it ever played fate system or with a group like this before or role-playing games at all are they're true so she's a complete newbie what did you think about you know was it what you expected was it or anything different or you know and i'm glad to see her sticking around for it so i can't really answer that question because i had i had absolutely no expectations whatsoever that's probably the best or don't have anything to happen is an open mind about it yeah so um i mean it was it was way easier than okay it was just easier it was um less dangerous the situations and like my character and i thought that i was gonna be able like i thought that it was gonna be a much more uh risky there were gonna be a lot more risky situations like i thought i had the chance to die like for example i thought that once you fade points ran out you were dead so like you were hoarding those like i really was i mean i really thought it was gonna be much more well i know you're showing up but did you enjoy it or oh yeah no i enjoyed it certainly it's just i can't compare it to anything yet but um i'm told that this one is more perilous yeah no it's not just the system it's the jam yeah it's kind of loads of kill people it was it was very like a block that i started with faith though i will say that because so i was mentioning earlier it was very approachable i think it's fates probably much closer to improv yeah that requires a lot of there's less rules than some other systems so then it requires more effort and imagination and input from the players i think that's what i said last time too okay cool that's fair really should i have a paper one of these days paper this is all it is stock ass paper yeah my god i was listening to that i want to yeah to basically reset you know what was going on and i was listening to it and man it was brutal you guys were brutalized in that story i mean it really worked you're acting like a surprise you're the one who did it i know it was just crazy was it is this the one i sat in on for like i didn't know that was a new manure i thought for sure that vampire at the very end was kind of just tear me out that was prepared to die for those kids to protect the kids right it would take up the children yeah i think you had to win a social combat against him in order to go toe to toe with that yeah in order to convince him that the children that you had with one of the children that he was the child he wanted you were ready to go toe to toe and actually john had the child that he wanted right on the other side of the compound you have a nun with a gun and a dog pam to kill you anyways but i'll slightly kill you in the morning youtube yeah well there was seven of them isn't there we were just talking about that i said the name of love oh were you being serious pride in the name of love was a song by you too i thought you were saying you too no i have pride in the end got it so then it wasn't that wasn't going on with you too yeah right yeah damn that was all you i mean he shot eaten and he was like let's go do it again just uh hopefully not the problem where i die that wasn't so fun breaking points okay we applied for and or accepted as beta testers of the dressed and accelerated game oh cool really we were that's cool but we can't play it well what because we won't be able to release it come around here and that's closer and we are really short on episodes so i can play it but yeah i was gonna run it it's been right i was going to run it with the kids at home just to give them feedback on how it goes and stuff and then let you guys know about it supposed to run quicker faster than be a lighter system john still based on anyone who wants to want to i want to keep everybody alive yeah just things like that they're um positive things not negative things in a sense it's not like i don't want to mess people up i want to kill what i don't want to lie it's i want the group to trust me and and know that i'm telling the truth so it's positive affirmation things i want children to like me but again it's the rule book i haven't stopped the demons will eat you the things will work separate the little girl from the little head that thing she likes to carry her legs we had it um we had a male we had some email and a female we had a female you don't trust anyone else you know you can understand i can say hello we see it's gonna sound brilliant when i edit it hello knights i'm really enjoying this i i've really enjoyed listening what don't start check and trust anyone to read i know taking a night a girl yeah yeah it's been done two day at night us our lady or day night dress or night at nothing like we should be a lady who do is strictly feedback up is it no oh just all the time yes we are impressed on our feedback was wonderful god most of the dnd podcast that i've listened to have sorry but it's okay we're trying to hold it back though jennifer really was that a comment or a group photo i was facing the other way just let me know when you're done with it i get wrong so uh right yeah she's this she's fully integrated now she doesn't care right when people stop being polite and start being real that's when you know that's when you know that's when you know that's when you know it's page and a half from page of feedback here why do you want me to hang on i tried to wait i should for your roman code you guys you found you said it's the last fucking line so he first fucking lie come on that was nice you found it there sorry shut up what if we really fucking shut up last fucking shut up So there's sleep, come on, what are you waiting for? You to shut up!
