The gang gathers at the Higher Grounds. Well… most of them.  Where is Roberto?

(upbeat music) - Hello and welcome to Knights of the Night. The actual play podcast, this Dresden File Story Rituals, was written and run by GM Tom. And now, please enjoy episode 182, titled, "Manny and a Side Salad." Actual plug begins eight minutes, 40 seconds. (upbeat music) - The feedback this week starts with a post on the KOTM vlog with the new Monero page. This was from Ease. He apostropheosis, the name they used. Ease, an interesting new Monero mechanic. If you're staying with the D20 system, might be to have X number of collected failures at attempted tasks, charging up to an automatic cast of a thematically appropriate ultimate ability or buff. The power or accuracy of the existing ability that was pre-selected during character creation. Through the narrative, there might be an exhalation at some sort of berserk point, where the characters have growing rage or desperation until a breaking point where they unleash their true potential. Thus demonstrating the said characters are indeed good at what they're supposed to be good at. While also making it less immediately critical to constantly expand experience points, although offering an interesting choice of architecture variant in that some players might be tempted to reroll, hoping to get a failure. I dare this stupid lock not to open for me. This is the last straw. - Let's say one more time, other fuck right now. - Thanks for the interesting episodes. So that's another take on how we could modify new Monero. - Right. - So you handle the really discipline. - Or a simple offshoot of that might just be giving a player, you could have three failures, or two failures, rolling a one a night, and that's it. Once you roll two failures in a night, you get to reroll the die. Simple, plain, a little bit. - One two failures can be a lot of the night, but I mean, depending on how long you're pulling. - You've had nights where it was more than, yeah. - Right. - Could be one. - No. - One could have a failure for a night, or one per scene. - I think I think it might be at least two. - Facebook episode 81, I don't think I'll stop there. That was the title of it. - Hard words. - I'm trying to make up for the, we went up to dinner episode time. - Yeah. - Other alternate titles for the last episode was, Roberto's gone batmanning, and it's what I do, John. - It could be whatever, yeah. It could be virtual. I still can use it at other episodes. - Roberto goes batmanning. - That should be the beginning of the-- - Or maybe it should be the beginning of the day. - No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. - That should be the name of Roberto. - Name of what? - It's all adventure. - It's Roberto goes batmanning. Ron was this Powell posted and said, "I want a KOTN t-shirt that says, "I don't think I'll stop there." Jason McDonald said, "The warden is more deceitful "and is using my name now. "I'm worried." Jason also said, "Does a count as fan fiction "are autobiographic "if a character you're writing fiction of "is a fictional version of yourself?" - And I'm scared of it because that implies he's writing a fan fiction of the warden who-- - It's claiming to be him. - Who just used his name taking it random because I thought it was just the name they're not gonna be in my head. (laughing) - Just don't have a first rule of subtext here at all. (laughing) - So, it's still concerning that Jason's name is the first thing. - What's more concerning to me now is that fan fiction or slash fiction-- - Yes, wow. - Because that's London and the warden to be-- - And Jason is the one that does the videos. - Right. - So that's not writing fiction per se, but-- - It's creating. - Yeah. - Yeah, so. - Okay. - I'd say it's still fan fiction because it's not really about you, is it? And that's all the thought I'm gonna put into that. - We're done. - It was Jason McMC, Donald, not M-A-C, Donald. - I think you should stop talking about him next. - Digging up a hole. - Jim posted that I got this could be a shirt as well, in which Paul Bennett said, "Ooh, a shirt that says "I got this with four plus symbols." Damn it, hurry up, pay day. - Does it actually-- - For minus this? - For minus this. - Is what it should be. - Yeah, it should be for minus this. - Oh, I like it because I got this K-T-L-N shirt, plus it's a sing from the game. - Okay. - Wait, but that was from World of Dark-- - I know, I was thinking the same thing. It would be a bunch of tents with-- - It would be, yeah. - One nice one, one nice one. - I still think we should have tapped that aspect. - Yeah, that's good. - In a ladies' tea, you know, as well as men's t-shirts. - Sure, tap this. - I don't look as good in one foot, sure, would I? I don't want to see you with a ladies' tea, like that wasn't the point. - Oh, Jason McMC. - I'll pull it off, I'll be surprised. - No, keep it up. - I'll pull it off, you'll be surprised. - And a shutter goes around the table. - Come on, Paul. - Paul Bennett also said, I listened to this episode three times today at work. It was a lovely day on the outside of the office and listening to K-O-T-N made it bearable on the inside. - Oh, right, yeah. - I'm glad we could be of service, Paul. And I like that idea for sure, as long. - Episode 180, bring that guy's juice down here. Time rocket said, "I must admit, the gypsy sear is awesome." - Yay, for the gypsy sear. - Now Rachel's happy she came today. - Ryan Nelson allied himself with the Denyrian, proving how much he wanted to be like London. The Quasi Reel Warden, or almost dead Warden, has a better team with him now, if only Bob and Roberto would listen. But without strife, there is no drama. Well done, the storyteller. He also posted and said, "Ah, a new chapter. "But some things still remain the same, "like a photographer who is not a team player "and has to go off by himself to review material, "only he can see." Welcome back, team player Bob. You've been missed. - That's what I mean. - Possibly by some element of the fan base. - Wow. - Mr Mc-- - I'm waiting to get a shot. - He does right. - Even if he's got a stretch in. (laughing) - She can't go off to your dark room, too. - I can't cross my-- - I should do it in daylight. (laughing) - You're right. - With everyone around. - He's still listening though, so I mean-- - Mr. D. - Your dark room, your in trouble. - Anthony Ertmer also posted. Getting to work today has now gotten even easier. On Google+, Ari posted and said, "Oh, oh, the name of this episode, "I dare not even ponder the sweetness my ears "will be delivered soon." Followed by five exclamation points, which I'm a little concerned about Ari because I think anything over three is really a sign of insanity. And from Facebook, just a general post on our KOTN feed, Nathaniel Fell posted and said, "Start listening to the Dresden File game "since my group has an interest in playing "and I'll be GMing and I've been enjoying it thus far. "I'm only up to episode 89, "which by the way was two years ago?" - Wow. - Yeah, indeed. (whistles) - I've lost. I've seen something with road spells, however. Episode 87, and then previously, when facing crispy fruits on the fire escape, you had the Warden role discipline to control the spell. I don't know if you've updated that information yet, but my reading of the rules is that road spells is always controlled by predetermined force. So, for an example, a line of fire as a weapon six with a wand to improve force of the effect and targeting one person will always be six. One target with a wand plus one to discipline fire. Any changes in it's not a road spell. If you've updated since then, I just wanted to point it out in case it was missed. And I think we might've misplayed that road spell as we're not supposed to have a role in it. - We may have made a mistake, or we might just have been making a main spell, because even if the discipline succeeds automatically to control it, you still need to aim it. - And you still need it. And that's usually a discipline role. - The house role? - Not enough. - That's funny. - But yeah. Thanks for the-- - Although it's a feedback. - Tough to remember what happened to years ago. - With that, we'll wrap up the feedback reminded the Amazon link on our KOTN podcast.blog site. I appreciate everyone who's using it, and we will get onto the episode. - All right, let's do the intros. My name is Tom, I'm your GM for this "Dressing Files" ritual story line. Players here tonight, starting on my left arm. - John, playing a better Martinez, people's guarding the power by a fallen into him. - Thomas playing Maxwell Edison to undercover Homeland Security operative. - Bob, playing Steven Tillman, the reporter and photographer who would do anything to get the story. - Mike, playing Ellen Montgomery, the soul-sundered Warden of Cleveland. Scott, playing London Deals, a moral seer to the supernatural powers. - Jim, playing Edmund Shadowski, who is a rich businessman and a black quart of a powered cyan. - Rachel, playing Zalda Sykes in American Gypsy, who uses the lore for a pass to construct the future. - Michael, playing Ripley Pierce, an anti-ogenic, organic activist. - Okay, and as every week. All right, so this year, the opportunity to change one of your skills, rename one of your aspects, and we are gonna do a refresh that starts, so. - Okay. - We're not in the middle of anything. - Wasn't Batman cruising around chasing Damon? - I have no idea. I remember it was two weeks ago. - Oh, but you want to be. - Yeah, it's true. - Thank you. - You're a maximum. Anyways, right? - Faithful. - Oh, the two, yeah. - What's your microphone? - Fine. - Well, I don't have any. But yes, that's fine. - Oh, you went to the meeting? The guy? - The doctor. - Right, I didn't see it. - The thing with the guy at the place? - 'Cause it wasn't really going in here. It wasn't really talking. - That was Darren Porter. You asked questions, you got information. Hopefully you wrote it down. - Oh, yeah. - I believe you implied the Warden was dead. - Okay. - You did? - I did. - You implied that and you told them that they want to go turtle up hide, defend themselves and they should be weary, particularly of Ryan Nelson. - Right. - That was about to just admit it. If you want to continue that, we can do that. - No, I mean, I don't, actually. 'Cause I feel like we got-- - You had two weeks to think of something, Rachel. - We got enough, but we're not enough. It just didn't seem like he was going to give us anything else. - Well, something we wanted to learn from them, and I'm not sure if we ever did. - No. - It may have been recorded. What these guys who already got killed, because some of them were in their group. What powers they have to sense. - Yeah. - And we found out that Barnes was a silver tongue. Leon was a healer. That's what we found out. - Was it his arm? - Leon Hoffman, right arm, yeah. Was taken, that's what we found out. - Leon was the first. - Yes, Leon was first, and Ray Barnes, and Tara Spencer, and they're Adams, and Darnell Morton. - And body parts you have-- - I have Leon with the right arm, and Ray with his tongue, Tara with her left eye, Claire with skin patches, and Darnell with the right leg. - Okay, so you have all of-- - All set. - The powers you have healing silver tongue. - It's interesting, 'cause the powers, coincidence, that we know all of the first three people who were killed. We don't know Claire and Darnell, the two latest killings, what their powers were. - Okay. You think Darnell's boyfriend was in? Possibly. That's not something you asked him though. - Wait, what did he ask? - We met with Darnell's boyfriend. I think before he joined, we were-- - Probably, I don't know. - The police had cleaned up the scene of the crime. The warden showed up to check the magical stuff that had gone on there, because apparently the police have him on speed dial for that. And I don't know your relationship with the police, whatever the case. We ended up talking to the boyfriend to see, 'cause he walked in on the murders, and we wanted descriptions and such. So we found out what they had taken from him, and what the, there were two people there. One of them definitely matches Ryan Nelson. I don't know why I can't remember his name. Possibly because I'm not swearing. I didn't get the other guy's name, 'cause I wasn't the investigator. But there was like a strong armed guy there who was throwing Hellfire around. There was a little other man. - Do you know what this-- - Did anyone take notes on what was taken? - His leg. I'm not sure which leg. - His right leg was taken. I thought they took things from his-- - Oh. - I don't think that. - Maybe he'd tell us what his power was, that's all. - We didn't ask boyfriend what-- - He did. - He did. You might know that. - What power he had and all that. - I'm sure he'd really appreciate it. - I was showing up to ask it then. - When you asked before, he just said-- 'Cause I presume you asked. - No, we didn't know he was going after powers at the time. - Okay. - No. You guys weren't sure what was going on at the time, so you asked a few questions, but nothing about powers because that was unknown. - Well, if we are completing a body, if that's what's happening, then it's the left leg we still need, the left arm and the right eye. - So potentially three more victims. - And we don't have a list of any powers, or can't get access to the powers of the parent owners, who might be in possession of powers in those particular packages. - I believe that's what I had asked Darren, who I'm not sure. He was unwilling to get that in his case. - No, the different groups are very loosely based, and they don't keep a database of who asks what power in. But one really thought of a relationship with body parts. I mean, I don't throw a fireball as that comes from your hand, it just comes from your head, does it come from? - Right, but in a group like this, I think your reputation, like why you're even in the parent head, somebody would be, you kind of know like, okay, this person can see things or see ghosts or that. And maybe just kind of, I know we don't have a database of what they have, but if we can start talking about what are some of the known reputations of some of these parent editors, maybe we can fit those puzzle pieces to what might fit. - You think there would be a rumor bell at least. - I mean, I'm afraid friends within the group. - Yeah, 'cause that's about sharing information and sharing your, a little bit about sharing your powers. - Yeah, but I'm saying it's not documented anywhere. And it would be some legwork to go and talk to people. - Right, well, and I thought that's part of what we would start to do with. - Yes, but Darren did not feel comfortable with the murders and everything that was happening just trusting me enough to give me all that information. - Right, which might be part of the problem. I mean, you're telling them that don't trust anybody and that it's a dangerous environment. But tell us everything. - But isn't she a member of that group when she, no other-- - Not a specific parent, no. - Oh, a different one. - I'm from the west side. This is the exact-- - This is the west side. - So they don't get together at Benagan's and talk about their pounds. - It might be like a yearly pick. - I can do it in the metro parks where they all gather together. - I had a very charcoal and Henry's like, (groans) - It's just the three anyway, right? - They're yours and your spare time. There's gonna be two each of body parts. - That's, yeah, that's a theory. - We don't have, hence, where one was duplicated. I mean, we have a right life, but not a lot of-- - No, there are no duplicates. - I am, do we know how these are even? - I think we should try to get our best idea on the abilities of these people that remain and then try to get a reading on who's gonna go after next by just, well, taking in factor of what would be most useful and then what he already has. And then use the cards, maybe, I don't know. - I mean, wasn't that the whole reason you were meeting? This individual was to try to set yourself up for a tarot reading to get some information, to be able to-- - Right, to be able to know, like, based on an idea of who we're looking for. - Right. - But he didn't help at all. - Not really, the only thing he helped with was knowing that Leon Hoffman wasn't good. We got that. - Right. - Part of it was data gathering. To get the five powers that will help, maybe give you some kind of vacation of what's going on. - And what's happening, or what's going on. - Right. - But that's what I mean about it. You're looking at the information from a different way and let's start worrying about the data in the actual details and just like, let's talk about the people and say, okay, well, I'll look at the force and see what the truth is. Kind of, who's out there? Do we have a sidekick? Do we have a water bender? Whatever, if you want to call them, I don't know. - So maybe a stupid question. - There are no stupid questions. - But what exactly are the chances? What does that mean? I just don't understand. Like, does that mean-- - A trance? - Yeah, well, I know what a trance is, but what does that mean? Like, Tarot Spencer went into trance? Like, could she see-- - Hers had a particular-- - Hers was kind of weird as far as power goes. There's no thing you hear or they go into trance as they must do this. It's just some people have seizures. Hers seemed to do something for her. She claimed that when she went into a trance, she could like order her mind and like resolve things that have been troubling her. - She was actually part of your group, so you knew her a little better than anybody else. And the thing is that she was kind of like a self-help guru and she would always try to convince other people that they need to take a better look at themselves and then internalize and get their inner house in order to be more-- - I mean, she was one of those-- - So her power was annoying. - Exactly, she was really fucking annoying. So yeah, I mean, she was a weird example. - So it's not like she could see the future or go into a trance and like find knowledge. - No, in her case, the dance was like the meditation. - Right. - Okay. - But it did involve a bit of magic. Like, she could pull herself into it and she really-- - Good. - I feel like she was going to another world-type thing, which was her own mental escape or something. - So I guess the question I have is, does Zelda feel she has enough information at this point to do a full drawing, to try to help us figure out who the next victim might be? Or do we need to gather more information for her? - The biggest problem is you've still got one that, or maybe two, did you have no idea what their powers were? - Two, we have two, Claire Adams and Darnell Norton. - So if you don't know what power they had, then it's really hard to tell. - Do we know what group they belong to? Which Paranetta group they belong to? - That was actually my next question. I think, like, which, can I seek out that group, specifically, for those two? - Yes, and before we leave Porto, there's any more anybody else we could ask him about. - You can ask him about that information if he knows who, what group that they used to? You may have even asked him that. - Yeah, and he doesn't know Darnell and Claire, they're from a different Paranetta. Darnell and Claire from the West Side, just curious. 'Cause then I would know if they're having more likely. - Darnell was definitely West Side because he was a high-up city. And Claire was kind of suburbs, South Side. - Did Donovan keep any type of notes or records or paperwork? - His paperwork was pretty extensive. You went through it a few times just as a general overview, and then more cautiously looking, a lot of specifics. So none of that was, and for the audience, I was pointing behind my hand at Roberta. But I guess not gonna have two names now. - Right, you can go back as my point because you weren't looking for low-powered players, you were looking for powerhouses. - If we want a tally of all their powers, I think that's the place to go. - Or at least to see if their names show up on any of the information. - That's true. - I was gonna say, going off of the different powers that we do know that some of these murder victims had, I'm feeling pretty nervous because, I mean, I'm a member of a parentette, and I have this ability, so. - Yeah, I just like, "Hey, should we sort of read "a bunch of our cards right now?" - Right, so I can change the future. - I don't know how comfortable I feel going to these parentettes and talking without some sort of, yeah, muscle. - It's due though, well, at least so far. - We've got our eight right here. - But I'm just making that note. Like, I'm not going anywhere by myself at this point. - Probably why? - Yeah. - And I'm gonna get back to, we're trying to figure out who's the next victim, what if there is no next victim? What if he's dumb, and the big event is next, and we're concentrating on something that we really, do we have any evidence that suggests that we're, that there is gonna be a locked leg that goes with the right leg? - We don't have ears, it's interesting that we've got eyes, tongue, and there's no ear, but there's arms and legs. - This is all. - Just thinking of appendages too, but. - Is there a right arm missing? - Right. - Right. - The three of you are together still in this coffee house on the east side. Maybe you want to bring this up at the folder, I don't know. - Do we want to meet back at higher grounds or something? - Sure. We had just wrapped up our conversation with whatever his name is. - The white court gambler. - Yeah, gambler, general. - Right. - We had it on a poor note, and I think I have until. - Yeah. - It's time tomorrow to find Roberto's dad. Wasn't that how it ended? - Sure. - With the conversation? - That's what it sounded like, yes. - Right. I think it takes Rachel's future forecast to see that Edmund might have some difficulty getting a sign off on Mr. Rinalde on any kind of. - Right. - Neutral accord. - Are we out of that already, or are we still? - Are we done? - I imagine in the parking lot. - Yeah. - We could end it poorly at the end of last session. - I'm gonna do what I do best, or something like that. - Maybe after we turn on the next line, the one who's signing it. - Maybe his. - I don't think anyone's gonna want to sign it after the one guy goes missing who doesn't. - Or maybe they will. - Well, I drive myself, Edmund, and Steven back to higher grounds. 'Cause not only do we need to discuss who's going to be the next victim, or what the next step is, but I now have a timer on Roberto's dad, 24 hours before he meets his demise. And I'm not quite sure how that fits in exactly as it looks like he's gonna be a victim or a meal for a white court vampire. And I'm not quite sure if this links in any way whatsoever to everything that's going on. - In most cases, you know something of the lore and the supernatural. - Yes. - When a white court vampire goes from being a virgin to full blonde, they do it with a kill. - Right. - And usually that's a young vampire. Part of the family. That's an actual hereditary condition. So more than likely there's a family chain powerful individuals involved. - This could be easily solved by having Roberto, who I'm assuming, eventually someone texts him or calls him, gets him to the higher ground. - Tract actually, we do need to deal with that. - You're gonna tell Roberto this next year? - Yeah, Roberto, if no one else will do it, I'll call him and let him know that he needs to return post-taste to higher grounds. His father's life depends on it. Literally, get here. Now. - You know he's just gonna lead to the horseshoe gun blazing. - I have a task for him. - I think he might be able to sidetrack him and hopefully keep a war from breaking out between our group and Mr. Rinaldi. Mr. Rinaldi needs to be defeated, but he just be defeated with subtlety gun blazing. We can't out-fight him. He's got too much muscle and power. - The voice in your head was whispering. - That. - There was a meeting going on of some type. - This is Roberto. - In which there wasn't just one demon, but two. - Yeah, there was the gorilla spider. - Right. - He was waiting with a more powerful angel. - Much, much more powerful. - Wasn't it obvious that Ryan had a demon as well? Ryan Nelson? - You'll have to discuss that with your party members to see what the consensus is on that. The voice in your head tells you that - Perhaps you should meet with brother Francis again and give him some information about the demons you're dealing with. - Okay. - Because the more powerful one? The angel recognizes it and gives me the name. - Ah, yes. - Okay. - Can you give me the name of the one who was talking to it? - Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the coin, but it's the coin belonging to Deidra, Nickodemus' daughter. - So the name doesn't mean anything to you, but to your voice, it's telling you. - This is way, way, way. You think the other one was tough shit? This is not good. - And as you're waiting, the one powerful demon leaves, the other one's left and you're just about to put the car in the drive in your phone range. - Flip it open and throw it down. - Roberto, I need you back at higher grounds. Your father's life depends on it. That means, seriously, come back now. - We don't care about the demon? - Come back now. - Fine. - Your father's life depends on it. - Any last. - I will come. - Who's the most important life in your world? Your dad, come on. Get over here. - Actually, stop following me and sister, but-- - Right. - Don't? - I'm coming. - Thank you. - And then you turn the car over and-- - It's only one. - I know. - Probably take it. - I need to talk to the brother anyway. - If you let me, I can help you. We can take this one. - Yeah. - Around drive up to higher grounds. I'm not really sure where I am in that city, but-- - Midtown. - Yeah. - Midtown. - Good thing I went off those around. - How do I get back? - So you all meet back at higher grounds and you can eat if you wish. - All of those? - I think that min'll give you a free grump. - Talk. - Yeah. - Listen, we're not letting it out. - The menu, your dad has 24 hours to live before he's gonna be eaten by a white court vampire. All right, let's get our shit together. Everyone, sit down. Let's talk. - You need. - I don't think anyone called me. I was doing. (laughing) - You better be there. (laughing) - I knew you were there. - I knew you were there. - Okay. - Somebody called you. First things, I need something from your father. I need hair from his hairbrush. Any type of DNA you could possibly gather. - We have crates. - The bloodier, the better. - Your bottles? - I can take DNA from saliva, but I think hair would probably be stronger 'cause the DNA from the follicle would probably be a little bit stronger than the saliva. - Did you have blood or something when you first showed up at his house that you wanted him? - I think I said I had teeth, but that was a joke. - I don't think I was trying to have blood. - Okay, I think it was blood. - He gave rep us a blood. - He pulled blood. - It's no good. - I feel everyone into the story. Renaldi is the head of the white court vampires in Cleveland, and one of this guy members has Roberto's father and is going to feast on him within about 24 hours from right now, which is about what, mid-day? - Or something we'd kill all the vampires. - No, black court. - Kill all the ghouls. - We're slowly hunting down all the black court vampires. This is white court vampires. Holy breed, they're feeding off the misery of your father who has more than enough to spare, but this particular ritual will kill him. So we have 24 hours to act. My belief is we're gonna need to temporarily set aside the search for Ryan fucking Nelson, and for the demons, and I know that we have the chance of losing someone, but it's a chance to lose somebody. We know we're going to lose somebody in 24 hours. Somebody that's important to one of our members. I think this needs to be our new priority. If anyone has any objections or has any other thing they'd like to throw on the table, please feel free to, but I can't see the reason that trying to save Roberto's dad should be trumped by the potential of a murder of another victim. - How many white court vampires, whatever the fuck they are, are in the center? - 23, 23 vampires? - Can you-- - Sure. - Sure. - That's what you're sharing. - That's kind of info out here. - Can you track them? - Instead of my father. I'm not sure I can get something you need, no? - I don't believe so. I need something, so I need something off one of the vampires. I don't have any DNA for my conversation with Rinaldi, so I don't have any trace. And even if I could trace Rinaldi, that wouldn't be the answer. He's not the one holding your father. One of his nephews is. - So can we say somebody with a high contact would maybe know somebody in the white court might be able to call them up? - Well, absolutely. - Yeah, we know somebody in the white court. His name's John Rinaldi. - Well, there's somebody who'll talk to us besides Rinaldi, someone else. - Someone who's friendly to work with. - I could either use my lawyer to recall anything I know about the white court family in my town. I can even invoke one of my aspects to say if it's my town, I actually know about it. I also have contacts, though, kind of like what Ed said that I can, minor one. Now, minor pretty limited to Si and so relatively new. - I have contacts. - So I would know someone besides Rinaldi have contacts of four, if anyone's got better than that, that might all means, go ahead and make the wrong. - But first, I would like to kind of do a little lore to kind of do a little threat assessment on what I know about the white court Rinaldi. - To know the specifics of the family and the relationship and the people would probably be more contacts than lore. Like how white courts feed and how they live and how they become preventative. - When might it be more boring? - Well, that would be more boring. - Then maybe I should, I would suggest using my lawyer to figure out what they might be doing. - Well, just for more information. - I want a more information. - I want a more information. - Absolutely, absolutely. - What's your lore? - Great. - So it's mine, so I'll let you go and if yours isn't strong enough. - Oh, Jesus. - Can you step up? - I'll let you go. - Step up girl. - You're going to shake in the daddies. I'm like, I'll let you get in. - Oh, come on. - No, that Easter's all going to do. - Positive one, so that makes it a-- - It's five super. - Super. - Minus one for the pink guy. - It depends on the type of white court vampire. This one's, they live in Cleveland. You happen to know that they feed off of misery. - So, maybe it wasn't given specifics so you didn't send you an invitation to a party, right? - Well, it actually is treated as such in the white court. - Yeah, it's a ritual, it's a ritual. - It's a ritual, it doesn't mean a lot of family there. - It's like a birthday. - It's apartments. - Are people coming in from out of college with this guy? - Is it catered? - And it's a family event and they're going to have it. - Right? - I mean, your mind probably goes to places when you think of vampires that are dealing with misery and what that's going to involve and the death has to occur in a way that is appropriate for the emotions, so. - I've seen what you call black court kill. They eat their victims, they sort bite into them and suck all the juices out. How does this happen for a white court? - Well, he's already well on his way if he's a serious alcoholic and drug addict. So yeah, he's got all sorts of vices and pain that he's. - I know he's a fucking mess. - Right, so he's already well steeped in despair and they're probably going to do stuff to amplify and bring that out and whether. - Where would this happen? - That's another good question I was just going to ask. Is it all in the victim or does a place of power for this to also have to occur to be a place of misery or like a focal point? - Sometimes it's a place of power if it's more important. - Because I bet it's the ground stadium if it's a misery place. - In fact, you said she's not anymore, man. - Yeah, it was going to be the game of the deal, which that should be the name of the demon that's. - Mandel. - They're trying to have two in the Indian's game. (laughing) - I like to imagine you're laughing and making jokes and you're like fucking 24 hour people. - That's right. - It's also the impression that this had already started. The part where he's miserable, the grand finale is coming up, right? - Right, first of all, I mean, he's like a marinated steak for a long time and he's had this, according to Roberto, he was never a great guy to begin with for quite a while, right? - Yeah. - So, I'm not trying to make you relate to it, man. I'm just trying to specify. - Did London mention the part where, I like the shirts, Scott, by the way, that's brilliant. - Did London mention that they offered a couple million dollars for your dad? - No, he's not. - No. - They offered us $500,000 for your dad. - Thank you, your mother. - That to me isn't, yeah, insulting. - No, I know that. - There's no way I'm even bringing that up. He wants his father to find that cashed out. So, my question to you would be, Tom, does it make more sense with contacts? Could I say someone like bringing Abigail back in the picture from the last story who we have a very tense relationship now based on Roberto's hammer? Would it be better for me to use contacts, to try to see if she would, if anyone would know where we're in all these brothers, so then therefore his nephews would be residing, I would think it would be her in the city. Well, would you prefer it to be someone else? - I have some pretty seedy contacts. - I think it might be able to see seedy contacts. - Hold on, really good contact. - I have an idea. I'm gonna gloss over something. You didn't describe these beasts to Roberto, but I assume you say that white core vampires are mostly human, but they have this creature that's tied to them, that eats emotions, and that's where they get their powers from. - I think either one of us could have said that. - Yes, with our lore. - Okay, you exist in a mental plane. You're currently tied to your body, but could you possibly see these creatures? Spop them at a distance. - No, the demons inside the vampires, they're demon, that's what they call them. - Sure. - I've never tried it before, I'm only in a few hours old with this mental plane. - It might be a way to spot them. If there's a lot of them gathered at this party, which it sounds like there will be, that'd be an easy way to find. - I would like to get there before the party. I'd like to get there when there's maybe one or two vampires guarding me too. I just don't know how early this happens. - Well, I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm saying, Stephen, getting back to your point, what kind of context do you have? - I know some pretty questionable people around town that might pay off. - I don't have great contacts, I just have the aspect of I have friends in low places. - Abigail is more likely to have the information you want, but the role is gonna be much more difficult because she does not wanna deal with you guys. - I wanna give Stephen a chance. - Maybe we could pull our resources together and maybe come up with a few names who might be of a person of interest. - What is it we're looking for? - We're looking for Manny's location, which is his dress. - I love it. I have the blood that was given to me. - Of? - Of Manny. - Oh, I remember that. - It's old. - It came a long time ago. - There's ways to revive it. - Revive life. - Do you have any idea where that would be useful? - It could be very useful. The issue that I have currently is I can make one phone call to Abigail Rockefeller and potentially we could be on our way in 15 minutes to rescuing him. Or I could do a four to six hour ritual after you spend time infusing the blood with more potency and then we could be off and running, which isn't a bad option by the stretch management. I'm just wondering if Abigail's not the way to go. You have something you wanna say? - A couple quick ideas, sure. Repa, I'm wondering with your ability to cross into the spiritual, I'm kind of like what Roberto suggested 'cause you're much more adept at the spirit. Maybe you can use me as something to amplify your ability, but is misery something that can be perceived in the spiritual realm? Kind of like a, you know, imagine on a dark night you can see like a bonfire off in the distance. - This is Cleveland, you know the ambient misery level? - Well, but we need a really special spot. - Can you read over it? - Oh, thanks. - Okay. - Well, what about the wizards side? I'm pretty sure when all the, maybe letting them people know that we're probably coming out and maybe moving him or beating up security on this guy too. - Oh, I'm sure that they'll be-- - Unless he doesn't like 'em. - Right. - And that's why he's trying to solve 'em. - Okay, that's another, that's actually not a bad idea 'cause you could also phone in a thread and then follow them and see where they go. - Right. Abigail's very powerful figure in Cleveland. People are going to know if she wants something or she desires something. I mean, sure. It certainly would make the rounds, you know, Abigail's looking for a whatever it might be. So maybe Stephen can help me with his contacts to see if in the supernatural realm if there's been any whispers of things that Abigail's looking for. I also have contacts. So perhaps his role-- - Or what type of aspects do you have or skills for like street smarts or the equivalent? - Well, certainly contacts. - Yeah, I mean, I have fair contacts. It's not great, but one of my aspects is I have friends in most places, so. - I asked Zelda as the parent editor if she knows of anyone who's an impact. 'Cause then paths would maybe be able to help us leave. - What's that path? - People who can sense other people's emotions. - Empathy, but like a lot of the-- - Like DNA strong. - I have that fair and that's certain. - Yeah, that's where we're going. - That's where we're going. - And Stephen, why don't you give me a roll, don't you? - Okay. - You just, you put your feelers out, you're trying to find something going out of town. - Yeah, something going down. - Maybe they're for natural and big vampire permission. - So, I think that would make sense. - The black market could help you with the low end context. - Right, you make the-- - Yeah, okay, so maybe he sets a maneuver for me. What does he need to hit to do a maneuver? - As much as I appreciate hearing all this, that doesn't seem to be anything I can do until we find these people. - Yeah, I do. - I mean, you need DNA from your dad. Do not go chase a demon. - I can't get that. - He didn't have a hairbrush in the house. He didn't sleep in a pillowcase with a little stray hair that fell off - We already had a sample of blood. - Receding hairline, disgusting middle aged head. - What are you angry about? - We say we have blood. - Yes, we have old blood. We think can be infused. We're not certain of it. Just cool your jets. It's gonna take, it's making five phone calls. Seriously, eat a burger, calm yourself down. - It's caffeine induced burger, I mean. (laughing) - It's not again, it is a bit of shit. - Yeah. - Just settle down for a few seconds, please. We're trying to save your father. - Okay. - How old would it have to be at least good to set up a maneuver contacts that he could help call or? - All right. And that gives me a bead or a fake point in the middle of the table, like then tap if I need to, correct? That's maneuver. - Yes. - And you're using your lower places? - Well, yeah, I'm just gonna roll. - Yeah, yeah. I'm just gonna roll and see what I get. - If he hits it, then he doesn't need to use it. - Oh, right. - He just uses his contacts. - So I have fewer contacts and he rolls good soon. - I got plus two on that. - Nice. - Fair becomes great. - So there's a maneuver on the table. We don't have to write it up. I'll just tap it automatically. He gives me the name of some people and then I make a phone call to someone who might be the, it might be like the underworld, like the boss of his contact or the, whatever the case might be, someone who's a little higher up the chain that might know more. But since the lower person knows it. - He knows a lot of temporary workers, people that do side jobs and things like, potentially working for caterers. You're looking for somebody who's thrown a big party and it might be handling. So maybe he can make you a lead on that. - That's good. - We're looking for someone who's miserable. That can help us cate her to do some side feeding. But yeah, he gives you a lead on something like that. - And I use my contacts to go ahead and make a roll. - Three pluses in one minus for a total of plus two. My contacts are great, so that takes it to fantastic. And I tap the fantastic. - The newber places. - The newber which takes it to legendary plus eight. - All right. Leo Salvatore is the name of the guy who's writing all the checks. And it seems to be a party for his daughter. Anna Salvatore. - Okay. - So do we have an address on Anna Salvatore? - Actually, this guy is willing to hire a few of your men if you need to get them in type of thing. I mean, it was a legendary roll after all. - Changed bond. - And the, I mean, where it suits. - That's right, with your little caterer part. - As long as you're miserable. - Are they making early deliveries to the party? I don't want to go there and admit with 27. - Can you get a big cake and I'll pop out of the house? (laughing) - I don't want to go there when they're all gathered for the ceremony. I want to be there beforehand. Can you get a couple of people in beforehand? - Well, he has keys and he's, but you're asking a huge favor here. I mean, this is going to screw up my business. - Well, I didn't hear it. - I understand that. That doesn't make him a sapper, a sucker here. - Well, it makes him more pliable. - Is he saying, what are you going to potentially fucking his business for the foreseeable future with the Salvatore-slash-renaldi family? - Don't worry, they'll be dead. - Oh, you can't move on. (laughing) - Wait, wait a minute, don't worry. - Every life is sacred. - Shh, they're bad parts. - You've lost lots of money. - Finally! - Every little life is sacred. - I'm going to go ahead and offer him a bribe. - Okay. - Because I'm pretty sure the white council can come up with another 5K or so. - Well, hold on, you're at bribes and that point. - So, I'd like to bribe him to allow us to get people in to deliver the tables before. - Yeah, but yeah. - So, it's very possible that John Rinaldi doesn't like this part of the family and he was hoping we would do this by calling them. - I don't think he'd offer him $1 million. - I don't understand why he would call us up and say, "Hey, a member of my family is going to kill a close family member of one of your friends." - He was trying to leverage us. - And give us a ridiculous offer that he knew we were going to refuse just so we would go after these people. - It's potential, but I think you're giving him too much credit. I think my superior social combat skills through him off, and that's why. - And it's not possible this could be the giant diversion. - Absolutely not. - Is that trash or a diversion? - If it was a trap, I'm pretty sure it was a trap for to get us there the night of as opposed to coming in the morning before. - No, I just mean something to distract us. - Potentially. - 'Cause they didn't have to let us know at all. - This is all valid. - This is all valid. - Do you want your father's name to or not? Because this is really incredible. - It's true. - Yeah, we go right back to the house. - All I'm saying is it's very convenient that we're finally getting somewhere thinking about who possibly could be the next target. And all of a sudden, someone comes up and tells us information that they did not have to, so that we can go follow it and be distracted for 24 hours, exact timeframe. - Right, but I called the meeting with John Rinaldi as far as to discuss Roberto's whereabouts, not. - Okay, let's flip the group. I say we get your tracking spell working, I don't think you have anything better to do. And we can check this party out if it lines up with there, if he's in there, then we know we've got a legitimate deal. - It's not till tomorrow morning, so I have no problem with that. Now we can focus on the ritual, I can focus on the ritual, the rest. You can continue on the hunt if you want, but I need to focus on this ritual. - I'll help you with some hair, or you can do the blood thing. - Roberto's gonna duck out, go home, and start his mixing of the plasma with the old blood, 'cause that takes like a half hour to-- - You're revitalizing. - We can assume that I have that, because I'll get my knowledge. - Okay, we're gonna actually work space in the obvious corporate sponsorship, or I can use a faith point to do that. - No, we're gonna, no, we'll allow you to do it with the skill that we're gonna call it a maneuver, in which you're trying to help him, because it's gonna be more difficult for him, because the blood is older. So your maneuver is hopefully gonna give him a plus two. - It's really counteracting difficulty. - It's really simple on my end, but it takes like a half hour for the-- - Right. - So is there something that I could be doing while we do this? Because there's no reason for you to give up on the pursuit of-- - Right, but like I said, I'm not doing anything by myself at this point. - Well, I don't think you need to, I don't think you need to, the most powerful character we have, most likely is one of them. - Undercover, Warden, right, but Roberto's not gonna go and protect her. He's gonna go run off and chase a demon. - Okay. - It's just what's gonna happen. - So-- (laughter) - If that's the case-- - That's all already, right? - Or I'm chasing a demon, right? - No, I went to go get a hair, so that-- - I can chase the demon. - You think you still got a guy on the phone? - Yeah, I said 5K. - 5K, what the fuck, dude? - He's like, what the fuck, dude? - 5K. - I'm still here. - Hello. - There's no change at all. - I'm not here yet. - And his resistance to screwing over his business is actually police. - Great. - What do you want me to use for this? - Or do you want the despair kick? (laughter) - What do they have, a manny and a side salad? (laughter) - Is he aware of the supernatural, this individual that I'm talking to? - He's catering a white card vampire. Yeah, he's aware of this. - Okay. - Well then he's also aware of London deals. (laughter) If he knows about the supernatural, then he knows about the amoral seer to the supernatural. - Sure, he's gonna tap that. - Well, not London, but have London. - Oh, I'll put it in though. - I'll tell you what, 5K and one personal favor from London deals. - Wow, you can find you a thing. - I can pretty much find anything or acquire anything within your desires. So not only will I pay you for the entrance to the home, but I'll also give you a one, three, find anything card if you wish. - This certainly doesn't feel amoral. I don't think you're actually doing quite good work here. - All I could say, I promised my father's freaking father. It's really killing London inside to be here, but yeah, that's it. - No, here I thought I was complimenting you, but then you-- - No, it's interesting. My heart is not growing three times. (laughing) - Yes, so-- - You wanna flip a card? - I do. - Flip it, flip it. - And some, after he's done with this. - Okay, okay. I thought it was-- - So then after the case-- - No, no, no, no, no, just because-- - Yeah, go ahead. - Okay. - Charisma command reputation, social fortitude. That's the skill set. That sound right, like reputation? Okay, the next breath, which is exactly what I want you to. And I rolled a plus two and a minus two for a watch. But luckily, my presence is fantastic because I'm London and I just-- - Okay, so you succeed in doing a little damage now, but he says you're missing a zero there. You're asking me to take a chance to potentially ruin any future dealings I have to do with the Monaldi family. You're not making any promise here that you're gonna be discreet or that this isn't gonna come back and bite me in the ass. - $5,000, are you fucking kidding me? - London deals is the epitome of discreet. It says discreet on my business card for crying out loud. Nice linen cream. - That's awesome. - That's quite fine. But the point being, you know, discretion is my business. It's what I do. If you know anything of the undertakings of the supernatural in the grid of Cleveland area, you know that London deals-- reputation is discretion. So you're adding another zero to the price and promising me this isn't gonna come back and bite me in the ass. - What I'm doing is I am doubling the price $10,000, not adding a zero. And I'm telling you that yes, discretion will be, of course, very much taken care of, but you also get one free favor from London deals, which is worth more than $50,000. - He only got good on this particular role, so he seems to be weakening a bit. Plus three minus one for a plus two. - That gives me your legendary-- - Just stop trying to debate me, please. Okay? It's what I do. Please just say yes. - Plus we're desperate. - Why, of course, let's say. - All right, but I will definitely be collecting on that favor. - I can't wait. And my, what time tomorrow morning, the key in uniforms will be left? Where? Yeah. - In his office, he describes it. He gives you an address. It's an industrial parkway, and his secretary will be, which is actually his wife, and it's a smaller business. - Is he sullen about it? - I'm just worried about betrayal or-- - There will be no betrayal. - Okay. - No, it doesn't, it doesn't, I mean, he seems to be okay. - Okay. - A little bit concerned, maybe, but okay. - Which is greedy. - Apparently. - He's already 10K. - So, he's harassing the late council. - Oh, I'm putting the bill for this. - This is your project, right? - No, this is Roberto's project. - Yeah, it's a Roberto's project. - Oh, that's a good point. - Damn it. Sometimes, a lot of it has to take a loss to do business. - You've got my bucket of money. - Yeah. - That's all right. - I've got resources of three, so I'm fine. - Zelda is gonna do a flip a card. She wants to see what's coming. - Yeah, 'cause I'm-- - Take it out. - Yeah. - Tomorrow or tonight? - Just a little bit. - Well-- - I wanna know what's in the next 24 hours. - What's going on? - So, I'm sorry, just to clarify. - Right, yeah. - Is your reading going to be for the white court thing, or for the murder or the ritual murder, or you don't know either way? - I don't think, yeah. It's just kind of what's coming generally. - What is the future hold? Single card? - Single card. I just don't-- - No, no. - 'Cause I don't, I don't, the hermit. - Now, that suggests something. - Mm-hmm. - I bet, man. Poking 'em up, being alone. - You think this is any indication that the denarians are working with the white court? - If it's a-- - Not working with, they might be using them. - I don't see how this is linked at all. - I don't see the connection, but-- - Denarians are twisting-- - What don't you know, I'm sorry. - Bastards that are really-- - Oh, the connection between the white court and the denarians. - Right, you're saying there's a connection between what the denarian demons and Ryan Fucking Nelson are doing, and the fact that the Rinaldi family who are the white court vampires are setting up a diversion for them. And that very well, couldn't be the case. I don't see the connection. - I don't know enough about it, 'cause I mean-- - No, no, no. - But for me, what I was thinking was just more that you had mentioned why would Rinaldi be giving this, if someone mentioned, why would he be giving this information if he didn't have to? And he knew you weren't gonna take the deal. Anyway, he knew that-- - Right. - So I'm wondering if he gave you this information, like, again, as a diversion to send us some two keep us busy, and they had him do that. Like, maybe they had him-- - Some, yeah. - By something-- - It's a pretty cool idea, which is why I think-- - But maybe-- - Even if London doesn't believe it, it's feasible because he thinks he got that information out of Rinaldi, because he's just so confident in his social ability. - Maybe Ryan fucking Nelson is working with me, like, court. - Yeah, maybe. - He's trying fucking Nelson human. - He's fairly-- - More? - Originally. - Or originally. It's an open question, right? He was human. - I believe-- - Yeah, he is a denarian. - I believe he's-- - Don't become a denarian. - Building some golem that he's-- - I think the denarian-- - Kind of hybrid-- - You've become a host for the den. - Right. - That is correct. - He's hosting a coin. - Don't we know that his right arm was injured and was repaired, replaced-- - Replaced, stole, repaired, with a healing one. We're not sure. - We just know-- - We didn't tie that into the fact that-- - The arm that he had broken at one point is the same arm side-wise that was missing from the guy who can heal. - Right. Did you find anything interesting? Zelda regarding the-- - You got that guy. - Okay, so shortly after the guy died. - Yeah, I'm just looking at him. - I'm not sure. - He's dead-pointing himself. - Is all the drugs determined? - You have a strong need to understand not just the surface level, but to really know what's going on, reflects your inner consciousness, and you realize that the truth and understanding that you seek is within yourself and not in the distractions of the outside world. - Oh, she's an exit victim. - Uh-huh. - Sorry, Zelda. Looks like you're on the guard. - This is the perfect time to take a step back. - And deeply contemplate your motivations and your principles and values. - I think Zelda was more focusing on the distraction part of that-- - I'm sure she was. - You guys are. - But, yeah. - But it certainly does mention her quite a bit in that, that right up. - The hermit is seeking the truth, looking for a new direction, questioning the status quo, knowing there's a deeper meaning, searching for it. - Okay, so the flip of the card, no, the flip of the card was supposed to be changing history. - We have used the flip of the card in the past for her to create a maneuver to help a situation. - Yeah. - Right, but there's no reason it can't be used for what it really is, which is reading the future, and that's something she can use as well. So. - Well, you could argue that the fact that she flipped over this card is changing the nature of things. - Right, it's making that happen. - So, it could be, she wants to know about the future. She turns over our card, and in doing so, she's changing the future, as Michael said. - Got it. - So, then, game-wise, do you tell her exactly what that means, or is she left pondering? - What did it just change? - Oh, I think, I think she absolutely asked to come to her own conclusion, and I can determine from that what. - Right. - We're up to stinking. Maybe we can hit the grand slam here, if we, do we know where Ryan Fucking Nelson is? We kind of nailed down his location. - We think so, there's some type of building in the midtown that he's looking at. - I think this is like, it's really easy to do, but we go get him. - Sure. - And we drug him. We put him in Manny's place. - Oh, that's hilarious. - You see, miserable? - He's gotta be. - He's pretty miserable. - Well, he'd be miserable. - Anyone who wants to teach me-- - If he wants to drive your body. - Last time I heard him, he was gloating. - He's got a low self-image. People that have a low self-image glow. Bullies, glow quite a bit. - He's in the process of gloating. - Actually, they bully because they have a low self-image, not because they have a high self-image. They want people to feel as shitty as they do. - I'm not forgetting anything to look at you at this point in a burger at all. Just think, no, we're just having a conversation. - I mean, it's not a half-bad idea, but they'll obviously know. - I'm assuming they're gonna know. The point is they might not care if they've got their meal. - Yeah, their meal's gonna have as guarded by a-- - Oh, they don't care as much as they do. - But, Daddy, you know, like Manny said. (laughing) - A man-witch. (laughing) - It's more than a meal. - Bad stuff. Okay, so, we still have to work with the blood rep up and see if Manny is actually at the residence, where he's being held. If he's being held either at the castle, meaning Brian fucking Nelson's hideout, or we're in all these sisters, daughters, home, where the party station plays, then either one of those places kind of fits into it. We can do it if we want. - I couldn't fight this demon in the ally on even footing. - You don't have a sword, though. - And a wizard. - He's got a sword and a wizard. I mean, he was out of the fight. - He was out of the fight. - Or got whammy. - Do we know the demon's gonna be involved? - Yeah, you don't have to fight these demons a lot. - But you also have a weapon, too, right? Your brother Francis, I thought, helped your weapon. - He had weapons for everyone else, but my hammer can't be blessed. - He tried to-- - Why is that? - What's wrong with you? - I don't know, he couldn't tell me why. It just didn't work. - Hmm, we have to bring this fight to a place where we can actually kill the demon, I think. If we were to fight him on hallowed ground, could he have access to whatever these angels use to power themselves? Will he be able to transform and-- - Well, that's a good question. - I would, I would, held around-- - There was limited knowledge on the denarians. With brother Francis' help, you now know that they are denarians. Now, whether you want to research them more, right now I can only access my lore, but I would certainly try to know what type of effect hallowed ground would have on entities like the denarians or angels in general. - Francis can certainly supply us with hallowed ground if we could find a place to make a stand. - In this upcoming battle, we have the warden of Cleveland with this sword that they think, potentially we think is dead. - So I'm surprised. - We have Zelda flipping cards left and right as long as fate points allowed for it. You know, I think we could be better prepared. We might be able to take the demon. We might be able to attack at this point with our renewed-- - You guys told me, your research showed me that there were three demons that normally work together and we are only aware of the spider monkey, audio, knowing-- - Right. - Whatever it is, you have varsity. - If Ryan has one that has probably audio from that conversation we heard. - Right. - And there's a third one, Tarsil, who we don't even know where he is. - Does it count if it's in his head? I mean, do we have to beat that one that's in his head? Or is it-- - No, if we can't one together. - As I understand it, we'll-- - It will drive the demon out. - Yes. - Drive it out. - Circles, sir. - All right. - Yeah. I mean, I like Repa's idea of what's hit 'em hard. We know where they're at. They don't know where we're at. - They don't even know we have the warden. - That's a dream. - There's a big one in town. I haven't told you guys yet. - They met-- - Whoa, whoa, whoa. - Oh, I fucking found something out when I-- - I'm the only guy who can chase these people. - Well, let's hear it. - There's a big boss one in town. It seems to have given directions to Bartheel, the spider monkey. They met together and there was some sort of conversation and then it left. It may still be in town, but we don't want to mess with it if it's still here. - So the denarians have a boss in town. - How'd you figure this out? - Yes. - I'm able to detect the demons. - Were you-- - You missed that one? - Yeah. - Are we able to detect the demons? - Really? - Interesting. - Is that important right now? - Well, yeah, I found them in the alley. - If we want to know how many are there, we get to the castle for lack of a better term. - I'm able to detect variable power and names. - Okay, why are we assuming that they're right with Ryan fucking Nelson every minute of every day? - We're not. - I don't know how many are going to be there. - We're assuming that because Ryan Nelson, he had stolen my consciousness, had those demons around him when he was torturing me before you guys rescued me. - Yeah, when we stealth, we took a look at his place. They were there. Keep on an eye on his place. - Can I ask you again if you guys could summarize for me what you think Ryan Nelson is doing? - I think Ryan Nelson is cutting off magical body parts. - And attaching them to himself and using his power that he has to boost them, making them, adding powers to himself and making them more powerful than the people who had him before. And I think he's doing it with the help of his-- - He's almost making himself into a golem. - Or yeah, a forward part. - Maybe that's what I was thinking of. He was somehow constructing an ideal body that collects all these different powers because Ryan Nelson craves power for himself. - All right, if that's all true, how many rituals has he done? - Got an eye, he's got a skin patch. He's got a right arm and a right leg, tongue. - Tongue? - So five. - So five-- - Again, assuming that all of your conjectures are correct, what are the five powers he's acquired with those? - Silver tongue, the ability to heal with that arm, I'm not sure if it's other people or just himself. - And then the ability to project transits on people, magic might be involved in that, but it's certainly the eye there. The skin patches, we don't know. - And the fifth, the right leg, which we also don't know, but we should contact his boyfriend. - You know three of the five. - And speed or resilience or strength. - Are we gonna contact his boyfriend to figure out what that was? - You can dance. - So you know three of the five powers, but you're willing to go against somebody that you have no idea what two of the five? - Ryan fucking Nelson, and his monkey friend, and the ram who we haven't even met. - We don't know they're gonna be there, but yeah, I get your point. - I prefer to draw them to a hollow ground where we can take them all off, but I don't like monsters in the town. That's just me. - If we feel that Zelda is next, perhaps. In your power, Zelda would be the tarot cards, which could, are you right handed or left handed? If you could post on the website that you're gonna have a meeting someplace, he might show up there to pick you up. - Oh great, cool. - Yeah, I think we need to go with, you don't have to show up. We could make it into a trap. - This is actually one of the few times I agree with Roberto. I think Zelda needs to be Ryan Bing. - Whoa. - In order to promote it, you're right. - If only the audience could see all this face at this time. - Because, I mean, they're coming for you. Would you rather have all of us prepared in a hollow ground area to protect you, or would you rather be, I don't know, sleeping in your bedroom alone? - Am I gonna be in this hollow ground area with you? Or am I gonna be beat somewhere else? This is my question. - No, no, you would be with us. And we would all be there. - I don't think we'd willingly enter a hollow ground. Wharton, can you trick any way to bring them there when they enter a room or something? - Well, super natural, they just drop a circle on the ground and cover it up and the demon doesn't even know he's walking over it. - It's not super natural. It's more hunter the-- - Regal, HTH, the issue. - I would see at least one of us, probably with me because-- - What's your lord? - My lord's great. - My lord's great. Who else's got lord? - I'm sorry, what's lord? - She's got support. - Maybe we can bring her to the Francis with us and we can do a ritual that will create a hollow ground around an area once they're there. - I also could create a-- - Can we see if we know if there's, just real quick, look at the last hole tonight. Why don't you see if you can give her a maneuver about that because you're pretty decent at lord and she's outstanding at lord. So maybe you can convince her about how safe it'll be, what? - No, no, no. Just to learn about it, maybe like-- - I can also protect her in a circle. - Well, yes, we're talking about demons, can we get them into a hollow-- - If there's anyone we need to ask about that, brother Francis will be able to both bless the area and give us all the information. - Not doubly good. I'm just saying with war you might know the answer just right now. - Well, yeah, let's just find out. First of all, can these-- - We can't do a maneuver. We can just do a separate roll. - Yeah, we can never doubt each other. - All right. - Okay, why don't you help her? - I don't know, it's a watch. Plus four, so that's more and more than that. - Okay, so you can now tap. You can now, yeah, if you can now tap, then tap, then tap, then I can. And, so go ahead, maybe we'll have to be one of the t-shirts, tap, then, tap, then. (laughing) - Plus two. - Plus two, you are superb, which takes her to an epic and then, gee, it taps the aspect and that would take it to a plus nine. - You're such children. - I know. - I'm sorry. (laughing) And what is it she's trying to know from this lore? Because her lore is kind of specialized. It's not general lore, it's-- - I think we were looking at, for like a better term, what's that? A way to, yeah, trick a demon into a place that could be hallowed or protected in some way. Well, I've like-- - So maybe we could come up with a device or a way or a place that demons are-- - We ampered or weakened when they get there or something that could be activated that could weaken them. - She wrote a fantastic role, or maybe even higher-- - No, one above legendary. - One above legendary. Let's say that your epic role was used in such a way that you recall Hungarian folklore, where they spoke specifically of tricking a demon. Okay, we're gonna have to wrap this up. Let's do a little research over the week and see if someone can-- - So, to be clear, Hungarian-- - Hungarian, female, female, female, war is where I googled-- - Trick a demon. - Trick a demon. - Just give me what episode it happened on Supernatural. - I think-- - The Trump is-- - Is that the new-- - I guess it's the new Wikipedia. - Thank you for listening tonight's of the night actual play podcast. Apparently, there's 23.4 minutes. - Yeah. - And his nephew's gonna feast. - That's coming at the age part. - The 23.8 knows about her. - Right. - The warden says, "Check the toilet seat." - Oh, no. - Yeah. - I wasn't ever giving that again. - I wasn't gonna say that. - Yeah. - What did they do to despair somebody to death? - Oh, it's a sad thing. I saw it in the episode, "It's Supernatural." - Oh, that's your new favorite show, isn't it? - It is. - No, it's not my new favorite. - Look at those two guys. First of all, we have the engine show in black skies. - Dang it. - What? - You're perfect. - That's criminal, man. - It's not criminal. - To be honest, from a role point, from a metagame standpoint, your character hasn't done shit in a while, so why don't you take the role? It's something to do. - What are you doing here? - I want you to have a spotlight. - You do here. - You know, I talked to Renaldi, you didn't get a chance to do anything there, so why don't you take the spotlight for a little bit? - Yeah. - So, your contacts can do. - I'm gonna have a gals all she's gonna, unless it's in her favor to give you that information. - Well, that would've been interesting. - But if she didn't want to give, if it wasn't, I'd have to think she's gonna say, go away. - Yeah. - It's actually Salvatore, if you want to do it. - Salvatore? - I thought so. - Yeah. - Salvatore. - It's the way we went. - Sorry. - It's not the way we went. - It's not the way we went. - It's the American eyes, my family came over again. (laughing) - She's my grandfather. - First of all, she's trying to take over your no jobs. - No, she's calling you down there. - She's correcting your family history saying. - So, let's say that you are familiar with an ancient Romanian story in which it dealt specifically with tricking a demon. - Yeah. - You guys are gonna have-- - Salvatore is where we're going here. - I'm sorry, Hungarian. - Try to say it again, 'cause it was good. - Hungarian. - It was good, except the part where it sucked. - Yeah. (laughing) - It got it all wrong. - Where you really fucked it up. (beeping) - Baba yaga. - Baba yaga? - Into, wow, go, John. - It's a witch, it's not really a demon. - Yes, I know, I was gonna say that sound like a demon. - I think it's Russian, but it's close enough because Romania is very close to Russia. - Except she's still Hungarian. - Not Romanian. - Krampus. - Krampus. - That is a Hungarian demon, apparently. - Yeah. - At the end of the show there happened. - At the end of the show there happened. - You guys did that with a straight promise. - It's just the anti-Santa. - Yeah. - He eats the children, so he was in the present. - Lotus and Krampus. - K-R-A-M-P-U-S. K-R-A-M-P-U-S. - Hungarian beast-like creature. - He's in a supernatural episode. - He's demonic. - Wow, you guys. - Just to let everyone know. - Yeah, that's right, thank you. - That is now our-- - They're over now the-- - The source books have the denarians in a chapel that technically is hallowed, so, I mean, it was in an airport chapel, but still any chapel is supposed to be blessed in hallowed. - Oh, I knew you were saying? - That's where they tortured Shiro to death. Through Hellfire? 'Cause humans can torture people to death. I do it all the time. Lidiric is another-- - I'm sorry, did you say what I love? - Beast creature, and Hungarian war. - It's Krampus. - It should be Krampus. - But it should be Krampus. - I think we should strive to have some disorder. - Yes. - What season are you on now? - I saw the first, I haven't seen it. - Got an agitated Krampus. - I'm gonna go get you the rest. - I'm gonna take it to the top of my-- - Sam, he. - No, Bobby. - Bobby. - I think it's Bobby. - Bobby, you're right. - And it was Bobby. You told him that. - Yeah, 'cause he's all, he was like there. There were more people. - And they were like, did you find anything? - No, there's something, is that Krampus? - Yeah. - I'm just snatted to horror right now. That's it. So you're not gonna get very part with that if you're not in the horror 'cause that's all it is. - You gotta run. - See ya Monday. - Bye. - Bye. - Bye. (upbeat music) - Did you get any of the EU 4? - Yeah, EU 4. - The base game, or did you get the-- - I think you got the base game. - Oh, you had to spend $1 or two dollars more and get some of the DLC, I think with that. - What's that? - EU 4, Europa Universe Atlas. - Oh boy, you said, oh really that's right. - You're a really complicated simpian. - Oh, that's the thing you're playing? What do you want me to play? - So, remember, when you first looked up outside the dead, it's a good game, too. So we have to look at the horror of-- - And you play a lot of family line. You play the first, you play the founder of the family, and then, yeah, and then-- - EU 4, Europa Universe Atlas is more like the civilization game where you're controlling the entire country, not just like the dynastic family of the country, or actually, you can start as well as it comes. - State of things, yeah. - Or you can go over 15, and then you'll feel kind of, and so you have a very, you can have some-- - So it was like, well, it's not like a smooth out. - Yeah, it's like a-- - It goes on through time. - That's what it's easy to do. - One of the transparent. - EU 4, Europa Universe Atlas is kind of the real-- - Yeah, or it's just a symbol - Not a background at all, it's just-- - One of the-- - We'll be a targeted one as well. - Well, he might try to find it open while taking over, you know, if I have to, I can make a better one of them. - He's saying, kind of like it. - Because it's-- - Like, the most talented game I've ever played in my life. I've had to watch videos on how to do things. - What is a core, Scott? - A core is-- - What the fuck did they keep talking about cores? - A core is something that, like, the people, I think it once belonged to you, you only did it one time, and the people remember that. - One of the core nations? - So, a core nation is easier to indoctrinate a core nation. - A core nation, I assume. - What? - If you grab, let's say you win something, you win territory in a--
