The Mantas Man has been sent back home, but what about the Demon in the room and the Red Cloaks in the town? And most importantly for the portly paladin… what about lunch??

Kotn Actual Play Podcast - 143 - Dungeon World - It's Not Not to Fight
[music] Hello, and welcome to Night of the Night, actual play podcast. This world of Darkest Star is Star, so it was run by your GM time. [music] And now, please enjoy Episode 143, titled It's Not, Not to Fight. Actual play starts immediately. [music] My name is Tom, I'm putting done the world with adventure scars, and the players starting on their right arm. Oh, Jim playing Jared the Human Scholarly Wizarding. I'm Doug playing Swipe the Elfish Ranger. I'm Scott playing St. Gwyneth, the Co-opulant Paladin. [music] Michael playing Zeb, the young love-struck Elder Steward. Thomas playing Drummond, the Warlike, Dwarven, and Cleric. I'm John playing Dunwick, the Bard deserter from the Elvish Army. Oh, where did the demon come from, or he was just sitting around all the time watching? He was that one that Mike Spear got caught in. Oh, the buffalo, the bore thing and another. It was all weird. He was captured by Clack Check for a while, but he was only knocked out. Knocked out, not killed. But he's still unhealthy. He did have a spirit trust around him. I have no trust in him. You know how that might be about a demon anatomy to know whether or not he's on death. Door. How did the Mantis man get here? That's what he wanted to know. Okay. He was kind of unsure of self. He didn't pull himself into his new magic and he fucked it up and he ended up here. And then he just continued to miss him. In an imitation of Ross, he got fucking up and fucking up. He's got tons of people. He was a parallel to us in the Mantis dimension. It was long and tender. In Bizarro. You know what kind of a thing of it we should have said along, we should have joined the group. Really. He could throw it in. If there would have been some kind of show out, we probably would have played. He comes home and everyone's like, "Oh, fuck!" Mantis! We haven't really had stopped for a while. We sent him away. It had stopped raining blood. Damn it. Whatever the case, we got to take care of this game. Still in the case. Well, what does red cloak mean? There's a title for them, but I don't remember it. They searched for deserters. At the military. I had to be in the Mantis. Did they do a vault job? They are part of the Elfish Empire. And one of their jobs is to search deserters. But also they serve as military backup for the members who search for magic abusers. Magic abusers? People like Clackjack. Pretty good. And you guys, basically. People who have great riffs and riffs in the magic I used divine magic, I don't count. You don't even use that well. They're like, "This is the best you can do." You use magic. Amongst those who try to heal mostly. But I just glare at the wounds and they close themselves. Or to open more. The red cloaks ask me to do my magic and I'm like, "I don't know nothing." I did. Did you see it? It was really fast. A giant magic circle on the ground which has been scuffed up a lot and probably not effective anymore. But there is a cage in the corner that has what you guys are calling a demon. We don't need any weapons. He probably wouldn't call himself a mire. Oh, he's caged? He got caged. Yeah. He also has a... Cinderama. Step from a spear. What? You guys take demons, right? Like... Yeah. Why don't you heal them? Yeah. Isn't this the same demon that... He has a spear. He has a spear. He lost his spear to this guy. Didn't she? He threw it at him. He stuck it right around the way. Or did he not? I can't remember at this point. I don't know how I was. Mike, wasn't it? Mike definitely lost one. He got his back. Somebody else tried them with something and he walked away with it. No, Mike. Mike stabbed them. He walked away with it and then the clock checked through it at Mike and he caught it. So he got it back already. Okay. Well, I said what here is evil and it came up as not being evil. What? Mike answered that the demon was not evil. He was just a ton of trouble. Now, were the dimps evil? He might sell it, but he actually had to do that. They were innocent babes. I don't see why we can't do the same. If the demon is not evil, and my God would not lie to me, then we need to send it back. But we sent back the other creature. The other creature. The unwanted visit, it didn't ask to be summoned here. It didn't ask to be put into our area. And I think we should give it the same respect that we showed the Mantis creature. Evil and hostile are too thankful. What? Those attacked us more. I'd actually argue that the Mantis creature attacked us more than the demon did. I don't know how I was there for it, but I care it was pretty bad with the demon. The demon was really trying to stomp someone's head. And he's caged right now. You could just leave him there and he'd starve to death. Probably. The redcoats. How many redcoats? It's like the demons on cloaks. The red cloaks. How many of them are there? The redcoats are coming. The half-lane reports. You saw it too and down. That's true. Nothing. That's true. We could kick there. Is that a capital offense to... If you get down there, probably. Don't you not really in the empire anymore? Okay, go ahead. Now, I would imagine opening a reference, sending demons back or anywhere. Would be probably something that they wouldn't be happy about. Oh, no. They'd probably even notice it. Oh. Do you think their spider senses would tingle? I do. Well, they came here, didn't they? If I understand correctly that the military arm of the group that controls the magic, that's not necessarily their job, but they back those people up when they do that. They back those people up on your... Yeah. Okay, so they're not that tough? They're like... They're a good fighter type, because they're not highly trained in magicians now. They might be magicians enough to notice them. That's a good point. We already sent Mantis Man back, so if we open that thing up and sent someone back, aren't they ready to wear? That's what he mentioned, and I would have to agree. Maybe they're here because of what had been happening and just happened. And if we do something else, that'll help them zero and more as to where this is at. Oh, good. So they're probably up there talking to the villagers and they're telling them all these strange things are happening when these guys showed us. Right. The deserters. The guy with a horn. Jared, he's died. Yeah. He's got one step ahead of these people. Oh. Scumb. By skipping town. Oh, man, he didn't know. I don't want to start slaughtering them. They don't either have his attention. If you could study this thing to the extent we're able to, and then we'd get out of town, I wouldn't mind that. Because studying... The scar. It doesn't have time. We can't let the doesn't have time. I could leave taking time. I guess I'm saying I'm skipping town. What do you guys know? What do you guys know? I think there's more than two of us, so we don't really need to do it. So we don't really need to worry about those angels. Yeah. We don't want to tell somebody else. We did take out of the nice chalet. Yeah, but the nice chalet didn't have backup. It doesn't have an empire behind it. You don't know that. You didn't visit their home. Maybe they're really fit. The empire has no actual opportunity. The empire has no actual opportunity. The empire has no actual opportunity. In opportunity. Oh, yeah. He's kind of decent. He's a human. He killed our envoy. Lot would be another thing. But with all due respect, this is an independent country. We are an independent city-state. We are not part of the empire. I'm not running from any empire here. They're in our territory. They respond to our laws. No, our territory. See, we don't like the empire. Well, from a church's perspective, recently that this is our land. We don't like them because they impose their laws. They try to. Yes. I'm just saying they will try. My philosophy is, we're all independent. That's right. So, well, I mean, if they try to do something, then we'll have to say that when our fair bar journeys back to their empire, where they have jurisdiction, they can arrest him at that point. But he is in a neutral country where they have no authority. So, I'm sorry. The church will not condone that type of behavior. We're on good legal footing. I don't think they'll give a shit. Right. I agree, which is why we're also on good sword footing. When we kill them, the government won't care. From their point of view, they assaulted us. So, yeah. We could do that. I'm fine with that. Yeah. I mean, we're not going to get in trouble from the church or our city state by ridding the world of two red cloaks. You accept. You are jigging my whole. I think we're discussing a problem that hasn't happened yet. Right. Medieval. Here's Dix in my ass. My sword says you're coming with me. Another thing worth considering is that we might draw and want an attention to the city state that we are currently in. Whoever owns this time. We may make this empire jurisdiction temporarily. If we go to an office on the drawn up attention. Yeah. There are really missed two red goats. We could let the demon loose one. I'm not trying to argue for the demon that much, but the point is it's not evil. And do we have a way of communicating with the demon? I don't think I can catch the demon. You have a slight concern. And then changing into a mess was at least, am I familiar to you? I mean, you've seen insects before, and you've seen praying insects. And this thing is very similar to that, but it still was painful and difficult for you. This thing. That's what I'm asking for. Do you have any demons suggestions on communicating? Because I don't think I can do that. Oh, I'm going to do a mantis for your community. We talked about them earlier. Did we say they could talk? I think we said they were intelligent enough to, but they might not speak English. It was talking or swearing or something when it was fighting us, but in the language we couldn't understand. That was actually don't look so good. What's that? Oh, you're turning into a mantis? Good call. It worked. The first time he did it, it was painful and he could only hold it for a second. And he kept trying and he got a little better and easier than he was able to maintain it long enough to talk to the thing. All right. You know what? We started describing what was going on and we slipped right into the story. Just to brief the side, if anybody wants to go through and look at their bonds and change them, if anybody wants to level up, we can say we can sneak that in on the previous camp. I'm not going to make you camp again instead of a little bit ridiculous. I know some of you level up just that. Yeah, I did. I'm not going to problem with you guys doing it quick. Another level up. What do you need to do to level up again? How much XP? Level plus one. Seven plus your level. So nine would have got you to... Of course I got one. We're less than one. Level three. So good. So no one can communicate with a demon. Is that correct? We don't. We haven't tried. But just trying. The communication officers have is something that's unlikely. Now it's in a cage. It's unlikely verbally. But then asking if there's any magic or music or...? Oh, music always tames the savage beast. Yeah, it worked less than. I'm willing to try it. Do you have anything you all insist? Do you have anything that you think might be able to communicate with the beast through your music? Folk in mind mill. Oh, is anybody having to use the scar or anything like that? I can do a magic ritual with the scar error in this hair area and try to do what I was going to try to do before. So you can do the same thing he can do. Mm-hmm. And what's the probability of... Jesus. Yeah, I know. Do you have any sense? You better. That's a really bad idea. Well, he's in a cage. So the worst we can do is... This is to communicate with him, correct? The worst we can do is try to communicate with him. And then provoke him in some really horrible way. Plus the cage open and attack us. He'd bust the cage open now if he could. That's not the worst we can do. Honestly. It's the best fight with magic. The worst we can do is... That is not the worst we can do. We can roll up on our ripped and bring out another ten of them in here. You're tying right over there to pull the magic. Maybe destroy the whole world. That's the worst. Yeah. Think big. Think big about it. Think about, like, one size. I've got it. I just have a real problem killing something that's not apparently evil. Hey, let's do it. Well, especially if I had to kill your friends. Yeah, I don't know. Let's just poke it with sticks until it pleads the death. I mean, that's just ridiculous. We could get a big stick. Yeah. But it tried to kill your friends. I understand it. It tried to kill our friends. One at a time. But you got thrust into another dimension with, I don't know, a bunch of demons. Would you maybe first reaction be to protect yourself and... He would ask for these demons according to... He's right. Drummond's lore. What? Uh, yeah. He was the, uh, castmaster. Ooh, what? The demon. Yeah. Yeah. Dude in the cage. He was still not evil. He was still not evil. Delicious. I'm sorry. How did they get him into the cage? They'll be able to contact him while we weren't watching him. He didn't use some magic and... He just made a cage around him, sort of. Well... He was age-driven, perhaps. Would they get a trash compactor around him? He had a big ass spear sticking him, and then he was running for his life at the time. So, he might have been... Well, this is going on. Can I walk over there and see if he's conscious? Is this a... Like, is it... It's interesting. You're communicating it all. Talkin' about the stick. Right. You walk over and you're kind of watching your mother. All the talking is going on. And you kind of noticed that he's laying there and looks like he's unconscious. But you're not? You really don't think he is. I think that he's... Waiting. Yeah. Listening. Listening. Waiting. Taking information. Yeah, I can't abide. I hope you guys don't mind. But I just can't abide the killing of a cage team. No, no. Deniality. Honor is one of my quest things. It's a cowardly tactic for tricks. Stabbing something inside a cage seems pretty damn cowardly to me. I'm just, I'm just sad that Mike isn't here to see this. Right. Well, you know, I've never had a chance to be very paladin-esque until this point. Or maybe just... He's a complex paladin. I'm gonna go with that. So, it's my take that we... If we sent clock check back, we need to make every effort to send demon back as well. We could just mess around here until I become level six, and then I could make him my companion. That would be cool. Yeah. Because if you could make him your companion, and he was not... Not at all about level six, though. But, you know, we grew up out of that area. You're very good. I was headside on your body. I was at you. Something we could just put in my rice, which for a few hours. So, from the estimate. Which one of you two has the better chance of succeeding at using the scar to open a portal... How have you sent the demon back? Okay. You're not in charge. I'm not in charge. I'm not in charge. However, I'm starting to know how hard it's for. You're not the boss of me. And I'm not gonna allow us to kill a demon in this case. That's like a irrelevant statement. But come on. I'm gonna kill it. We need to let it out. Just what I'm hearing. What's the second part of this thing? So, here we just... We're not gonna send him back. What's the difference between... Why would we... What's the difference between clock check and this demon? We are spending way too much time here. This is demon... Wait. Wait. You have somewhere to be? Yes. Red cloaks are in town. I want to be out of it. If they come down in a hole, they'll be easier to kill in silence. I don't want to kill them. There are many of us. There are few of them. I'm not worried about that. Do the math. Then what do you... I'm sorry, I'm missing the point of what you're worried about. When red cloaks go missing, they send reinforcements. They send... It will be us scared by that. Yeah. It doesn't matter. We'll be back in our minutes. Just as a reminder, you took nearly a week together. Right. And you weren't an elf country. You were on the edge of it. No. You were on the edge of it. And now you're a week away from the edge of the empire. So two weeks. Four days travel. Is it possible to open gates and travel much quicker? Let's ask. Sure. Especially when there's a scar close by. Elves don't like to use those, though. No, they don't. They're all negative on the whole scar thing. Anyways, I don't see what the difference is between the mantis man and the demon. They're both from different dimensions. The clock check wouldn't run up this cavern and slaughter the villagers. No, he would just attack us on sight. No, yeah. He'd open up multiple gates and have other things attacked him. He warned us to stay out of his territory and not mess up his spell. But he was lately reasonable for a wizard. Who summoned these creatures? A dumb wizard. I'm sorry. Was it clock check? Was that the answer? We understand. Okay. Do you know what this demon was? This is like a herder of the damage. Yes. He sent them to burn down the forest in a winding arc. Well, that's... Sometimes your sheep get away from you. He's in your neighborhood. Burn down the entire forest. Do we know what damage? I don't know. They're not in a flare dimension. Who's more at fault? The guy who summoned the ravaging demon to our dimension or the demon itself? I mean, the demon is not evil. I asked Asendia, and she has spoken. It is not an evil creature. I think that's a real demon. If it's here against it's will and we should... Correct. I thought people would be a little more... I mean, the first giant to me. He showed up. He didn't know where he was and started walking towards town and everybody... I mean, he wasn't sent here to destroy. Well, I don't know. He tried to eat people who talked to him. We don't have to drag him out of the cage. Drag the cage. That's fun. That's fun. I think we released the demon. I'm saying, let's send the dang thing back to where it came from in a cage. Fine. I don't care. But let's not kill it because I don't think it deserves death. It didn't ask to be summoned here. We got to get out of here before the redclog finds this hole. You're a little too uptight. Dude, your panties are in a bunch about those redclogs. There's six of us here. You know how long have you been running? Maybe it's time to stop. You don't know what they do. You're amongst friends. Yes. We have no neighbors. You should tell us. I work over and ask the demon if it understands what's going on. This is happening. You have to put me to what's going on. People are killing me. It's playing on the ground. You're facing towards the wall. It's facing towards the wall. And that doesn't seem to be any response. I thought I'd give it a chance. I say we kill it. I'm going to walk up to the demon. And I'm going to say, I am the wall. You must speak with me. Just to see if it maybe knows some sort of English or sign language or something else. It says, are you doing a move? I'm doing a move. I am the wall. Stop pretending like your dad. Sit. And talk. Speak. I say you do it. Hold on. I'll obey you. Run away. Or. Attack. Yeah. Well, it can't run away. You can't attack. It can't attack. So I'm thinking it might just try to talk to me since it's only choice. I rolled an 11 and I get a plus two because it's charisma. So it's a 13. That's like a legendary. Don't start wondering about language in this world. I know I know well-fished because I'm an elf. But are we speaking human? Hold on. They could be the common is and offshoot of alfish. Since there are major empires. Correct. They're the major empires. I mean different continents. What? You know what? Yeah. That's my point. Here's wild elves. We have three language continents. Wait. We're all talking. Mm-hmm. There are wild elves that live in this continent. Do they speak a different language than the empire? There are wild elves. They're not wild elves. They're an empire. They've just... They've been here for I thought. We said 100 years or so. I'm saying does the empire of elves have different language than the native elves of here? There are native elves. Is my question? No. Okay. So that's up to your family. I could be one. Yeah? I'm not sure. You are an elf. Let's say they're two... Let's say they're two different languages. Or no. Do you want them to be more simple? I'm just not. No. Because there's no way the elves in this land, if they're native to this land, would speak the same as empire. Oh, hold on. How many languages can we throw at this demon that he might understand? I would think that the unifying force in this entire continent was the invasion of the elves. Correct. The other. The empire. So the common language is probably their elf. Now, there was probably a native elf language as well, so that's at least two. And there were probably... And the barbarians. Oh, it's a barbarian language. Yeah. And when the barbarians came together, they could at least trade, and so there was like a trade language that developed weather. That's not English. That's common. That's common. So anyways, we could throw a couple of different languages at him. We got dwarfish, which he knows about these. Yeah, dwarfish you got empire, which is the high elves, or civilized elves. They're probably... I'm basically trying to... Go ahead. I'm sorry. Local elves. And then you have common, which is a trade language that's spoke. It's a pigeon version. It's not very good at communicating, but everybody spoke it before the elves showed up. Okay. I try to get it to speak in any, like, all the languages, like, trying to somehow command it to speak in all the tongues that could speak in to allow us to hopefully have a chance to communicate with it. Okay. Your success was... 13 dice. Yes. 13 was the wrong. Right. 14 dice. That's what's 13. Good roll. Chomped systems. Yeah, yeah. That's right. Yeah. He struggled slowly to his feet. He is apparently bleeding from wherever Mike stabbed him. I think it was in the back, wasn't it? What a death. You know, Mike is a death. I think it was more... It was in the back. It was in the back. It was charging by. It was charging by. I think it was inside. In front. Yeah. Yeah. In front. He got stabbed in the front. Yeah. The creature grabbed it and pulled it in closer. Mike was like... Yeah. Yes. Yes. He's got caught at his ribs, so he's bleeding. Still a little. Not much. It's mostly clotted. Right. But he stackers to his feet and he speaks in something. None of you have heard of him. Right. Now, what about the cleric? What about the cleric? Tell me, cleric, again, a few people. Is there any chance that you recognize the language? We faced demon incursions before, but we don't often meet the kind of language that maybe you would use when you're trying to talk to someone peacefully. They don't make a mistake. Well, some do. I don't. You never proly... You never proly with him? You're always fighting? And that's it? Always fighting. Ancestral... Beef and whatnot. My job is to heal and fight. There are clerics who are dedicated to learning their secrets. I'm not one of them. I think healing would be a good first chance for you. Yeah. That's... Does he seem aggressive when I come up to him and try to talk to him in a... I am the law. That's the tip of way. Based on my divine authority. It's just one of those angry languages. You can't tell. Also, he's snarling and spitting at you. How many like German or something? I get a plus one from Germany. I get a plus one forward from on him, by the way. Okay. Because I roll more than a ten on my success. If he doesn't seem... Okay, we don't understand what the hell he's saying, obviously. No. No. He doesn't know. Okay. This is a little familiar, but no. So I am going to try to heal him. Because I think that he at least, like, he tried, he would respond. I don't have my sword out. I have my hands out, like... An international... No, not international. See? It's fine, but... Interplan... Interplan... Interplan... Yeah. Yes. Interdimensional side of... Well, I'm gonna... I'm gonna tell you something... Sure, go ahead. ...to remind you of the obviousness of... The obviousness is called what? Late on hand. Okay. That's what I'm saying. I'm doing this. I'm gonna require you. I thought I'm doing this. I thought I'm doing this. Your hands through the bar. And then I'm doing this. It's very hot. And while I'm doing it... It's time I'm speaking... And while I'm doing it, I'm speaking in a soothing tone. Not the command. Listen to me. I'm the king. Or I'm the... You know, I have divine authority. Just... I am going to try to heal you now. This is me whispering. I'm talking low because you are a beast, and I'm going to tame your beast. That's me nature by healing you. Kind of. It's offensive. As they would call it in his language. Yes. In his language, I'm going to stick my hands in your cage. Eat me kind of... A situation. I understand close. I didn't glare at him. Wow. 11. You're in good. Yeah. You are never going to level up with that level. Did this right? No. I can't kill the guy at all. Actually, you start to reach for the cage, and he backs away. Yes. I do. You can't... Ooh. As far as you... You can't... You're going to have to come around to the side of the cage. Yeah, I do. But it's not. Calm, calm. I keep doing this. It's good. Good. And then you actually achieve one touch. So thought. Yeah. Maybe that last little bit that he was bleeding heals up a little bit, but it is the thought that counts. Right there. But the blood trickles slowly and then stops. But there's still a gaping wound. Good. I don't heal him too much from any of your killing stuff. You're good. Cleric. I see his paladin. Fuck demons. That's my job. I went for you to let him out. He has to attack someone. He has to attack someone. Yeah. His history definitely makes sense. He does seem to calm a bit. He speaks again. You want me to try a ritual, possibly a dimensional opening spell here and see if I can figure out a way to talk? Well, I think... I think we'd rather try to talk to him first because don't you need certain sympathetic connections to make the temple open up to the correct plane? Cut his heart off. They actually know his shedded carapace to create a ring and when they open the gated dusted... Right. This thing got some fur or something? If it was lethal. Believe it. If it was that, it could call. Do you have any blood on your hands now? That's why I've asked you. Sure. I had to say... Okay, we're going to have to cut you guys. You know how we just healed you? I'm not sorry. They tried to help singing a song of his land. There wasn't... Well, you got stuff going on. You know all about that. He knows battle stuff about things, right? Yeah. There's our sympathetic connection. I got blood on my hand. I don't know what's up with that. If I let my guys try to send him back, they would be all like, "The fuck are you doing? Kill that thing." Right. Maybe Mike hasn't killed and cleaned his spear yet and there's guts all over it. Well, maybe. Gross. But I also had some blood on my hand that could put down in the center of an area and then we could... Maybe you could sing a battle, like, some kind of battle him or... I'm not helping this battle. I'd rather kill him. We won't tell anyone. Right. That's fine. They hear everything. Okay. But you do realize that if we fail at this, it's going to bring more creatures into our dimension. You ready for that? Totally. I'm sorry for that. Well I will not, you know, obviously he has a brutal and bloody deity which is not close to ascendia in its compassion and love. So it doesn't surprise me that he would refuse. I'm actually quite assured now, even more than ever, that ascendia is the one guy. I was just thinking fucking dwarf. So I'm going to show her a version. Right. Of the same thing. Yeah. So yeah, give her a shot. Yeah, I'm going to try to do a ritual though. Let me communicate. I'd like to do a ritual to talk to what I like to do a ritual to send it back and I like to do a ritual to see him and more. I can't resist me one time. Don't do three things. Let's start baby steps. Talk to it. He's Mr. Doo. Let him do it. He's ready. You're doing fine. Wait a minute. What are you doing? I'm going to use name three things and you're not doing them all. I want to tell you that. So we'll use the blood. Okay. You don't think they have enough blood. I mean it doesn't even come close to a full-sized creature. I'm a veteran. I'm going to make a little blood. You don't have any blood on the corners because this represents the fire dimension it comes from. Oh, it's just you trying to establish communications. Yeah. Yeah. See, we talked to it. We can say, "Hey, listen. Here's a knife. Cut yourself. Bleeding into this vial and we're going to send you back home." Well, I'm not going to go and stab him before we try to talk to him to try to get the blood. It doesn't make any sense at all. Could he just piss in a cup or something? Right. Exactly. You're in. I'm just doing it. A little bit of shit on this one. Blood is pretty damn hard. Blood's power. Paladin, please. Ask the dwarf. What? Ask the dwarf. What? No. I'm not going to ask the dwarf any. Blood's power. He's short and annoying. I have both of those things. Ready? Sure. A damn good fighter. All right. So we're doing a communications... That's right. You have a little bit of his blood. I made a pentagram in the pentagram with fire. Fire. It's a brilliant idea. I like it. That's awesome. Now just don't roll three here. It's going to happen into the massive, throbbing, pustule of magic that's... Yeah. And we're selling out a big, big, and then you're probably selling it. Is it a pustule or not? It's a puddle. It's a puddle. It's a puddle. It's trying to burst. It's a big magic zit. Yes. It's going to suck. Workar is a wonderful thing. Dimensional puss, all over. Fucking gross. Magic can be a wonderful thing. Oh, that was a good spell. Holy shit. What do you roll? I roll the 12 plus two. Wow. All six. You got over two, baby. Nice. Jared, nice work. You're a hell of a wizard today. Yeah. You tap into his dimension with a silvery thread that you pull out and wrap around his throat and pull forward and he can speak now in common, which is basically a kitchen. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I don't know what to talk to him. Who has here as the highest charisma? What's your charisma? Plus two. Minus two. It's almost three. Yeah. You know what? You don't get to talk to him. I have also one. No. You've been fighting this the whole way. You do not get to talk to him. You'll fuck it up somehow. They don't want to talk to him. I got a plus two. Him talk to him. Yeah. I had a 17 charisma, but it said minus two. Oh. It sounded like minus two. Minus two. That was wrong. Yeah. How can we talk about the minus two? So in the common language, I say, hold on. I have my ability, charming and open. When I speak frankly with someone, you can ask their player. Oops. That's kind of like a question from this list. Whom do you serve? What do you wish I would do? What can I get you to do blank? What are you really feeling right now? What is it you most desire? Is that for an NPC? What do you got? I can work for you there. But that's kind of against their will, whether they'd like to or not. Right? We're assuming this guy. Well, we don't know. Right. How about if we start with conversation and if it's not going well, we use you. Is that fair? Because you've got a power. Okay. Okay. So I just want to ask the demon to get the shit. Right. We realize you were brought here against your will. We'd like to send you back to your home. Would you like to go there? Is that what you'd like us to do? He doesn't want to talk to us. Yeah. He's silent for a reasonable amount of time. I'm a patient. An unreasonable amount of time. I just unwrap a Twinkie. It's alright. It's all good. It's all good. No, no, no, no, no. Wrapped in some of the cream filling on it. Whatever. Love it. Yeah. This is good. I glare it on the whole time. Yeah. Perfect. How can I trust you? Well. He went to Simon. He tried to kill me. To be fair. You were being rather rambunctious. You charged down the... You did charge down the... the cave entrance and you attacked as you were being attacked. I think it was kind of... Leaving up the horn events. I am sorry. This is a non-running zone. No, no, no. It's a non-attacking zone. The insectoid... We sent him back. See? We sent him back home. It's not a matter of trust. You're in a cage. We could kill you very easily right now. We're trying to help. That's a plus two right there. So we'd like to send you back. What? He's looking... The charred insect parts around the circle. Yes. That's how you sent him home. That is his skin that he sheds and we used it as part of the ritual. If you were paying attention, that skin was here before we even used it. That was not skin he lost during the ritual. That was skin that was here in a corner. You probably smelled it before. And we used that. You must have been pretending to sleep too well. So what we would need would hand you a knife. You would give us a vile... You would give us a vile of your blood. We will then open a dimension to your whole world. Apparently it does. Does he have to take a piss? It's more fun. It's more fun if it's fun. Cut out your left eyeball and your white testicle. It's not as bad as it sounds. Because I got a healing spell. You go home and you're not left in a charring circle. Right. So you do not have to trust us but we could have killed you had we wanted to at this point. You're in a cage. We are trying to send you back home. The dwarf, the little guy who's got like a little Napoleon complex over there. He would like to kill you. We are telling him. No. We want to send you back home. So we need a vile of your blood or the good cop. Yes. We need you to help us send you home. What would be helpful would be if you could sing a battle hymn while the magician does the spell and give us some of your blood. We're going to stay here. If he wants to stay here then we're going to have to kill him. Because I'm not loosing a demon into this world even if he isn't evil because he'll lose the imps. Again. People get hurt. Somebody will kill him. Okay. So I explain the situation to him. We need a vile of his blood. He can extract it himself. And we need him to sing a battle hymn so we can open up a connection to his world. And we will then send him back to his world. Alive. If you were at any point alive. I don't know if this works. So you have to make a role. Does he see the obvious logic behind this? Slacing his own skin. Whether or not it's obvious. I hear your choice. Does he possibly have? He has none. But we're not presenting it to him as such are we? No. I mean there was a little hint of it. Right. There is a... No there wasn't your blood or it will kill you. No. I didn't say that. No. I corrected him. I might have said that. He might have said it. I just didn't say that. He said he wants to kill you. Right. So if he's amenable. I pull out a dagger. Pull out a vile. He can't do that. He can't do that. The roles of his fate. And I tell him that I will even heal him again after he extracts the blood if he would like to be healed. I know. Because he did. It's such a good job. Right. At this point. He's holding me. Right. Sir. What? You gave it to him before he said yes. What the fuck? I'm assuming he said yes because your dad said he had no other choice. Yeah. You can just piss in the vial. No he can't. Right. That's not in the press. It has to be blood. Unless he has bloody urine because he has stones or something he cannot. Thanks. The healing might not mess you. What does it with the blood? It's magic. It's magic. It's a fact. Dude. It's determined by the magic guys that it has power. Oh. Okay. I know. Are you right? These guys never miss a role. He is holding the vial and the knife. And he tells you that perhaps you should heal him. Well, he doesn't say this eloquently. Yeah. He'll be frozen. Sure. Otherwise. Right. Sure. Die. Which, you know, like, wait a minute. Me? Are you who dies here? Right. No. I'm fine with that. He's not evil. My God has told me he is not evil. I roll the seven. Yeah. I get a plus two on my healing, which gives me a nine, which is... Is that a... Just shy. Just shy. So, I take some of the damage that I heal from him. Is what happens. Oh, wait a second. I hit a plus one going forward. Does that count? Yes. Sure. Okay. So, that's a ten. Right. Unconditional. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Two. Two. I doubled it. Oh, look at that. More where that came from. There it is. All day long, bitch. That's powerful. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Is awesome. You know, I'm really working on a weak thing here. You know what I mean? I'm trying to heal a demon if not a dimension. I'm not used to that. I don't even know where to touch him. Yeah, you're too demon. You know? We don't need him to... I mean, seriously. I got blood. I think it took ten miles of blood for me to their day at the hospital. I didn't lose any strength. He's gonna be fine. He's gonna die. He's gonna die. He's going to be distracted with a knife. He's a long needle. See if you can heal him up enough. He can just burn right through the bars. Right. I tell him that I could do it again. Yes. It's just not working so well. You want me to try again? You like from another dimension. My God's like, what the fuck? Right. I mean, my God just doesn't... You know, he just doesn't understand. No, he's doing this again. I'm trying to consider what alignment this guy could be that he's not leaving. Dick. That's not my alignment. That's true. The plus would look forward stays or doesn't stay. It depends on what your move says. Ten plus, you also take a plus one forward against them is all says when it says I am the law. I don't know. Let's not say that last name longer. He's done with the law thing. I don't have this, this commanding president. I'm talking to him like a normal preacher. I can see it. I can either way. I mean, you're involved. You may be poor with him, but I would think that's more in dealing with him socially, you know. Right. Right, then actually. So you're God's kind of getting tired of moving forward. Yes, he's double. He's double. He's double. I have a fact because I take that forward. You're saying that the forward didn't count. Yeah, I would think as magic is, you know. Okay. I do get healed myself. My God's much more understanding of meaning is me a six. So I take damage, but I healed up as I take it. So he's now been healed seven since this process has come in. Yes. Just in case this thing is going to try to break out. Right. Because it's getting more towards healed or something. Right. He's just going to try to pull a fast one. Right. Because that's what he does. Right. I'm not. I'm just totally, I totally buy in. It's not evil. My God said it's not evil. Here. Want some more healing? No. Okay. So. The God is reluctantly healing the demon, but healing you just fine. Right. At that point, he cuts his finger rather deeply and fills the vial. Okay. It has takes for a moment just to lock eyes with you and then hinge you the dagger back along with mine. Okay. I now, like I understand how difficult that was for him. Much like me not eating for more than one hour. It's terribly difficult. Yes. Okay. Now I have lost. So. So. Oh, yes. Would he be kind enough to sing a battle hymn to the Republic? At this point, we've got the blood. He needs to need something that kind of draws something from his, from his home. Demons tell him. The party music. Yeah. It doesn't have to be in common. Right. It just be in scream or a grunt or whatever. Even if, and it's, or tell someone about your, tell someone about yourself. Anything we'll do. This is making feel. I think our attitudes would be different if we didn't think from this. Right. It's called an angel. Right. We call him a really ugly angel. He's an extra planner visitor. That's already too hard. It's fucking cute. Yeah. What are we, the men in life? So what's he polite? He, we send them back where they came from. Fuck out. He doesn't know of this battle cry you want him to sing. So perhaps you need to explain to him. Right. A little better. When you fight the little ones. Do you sing a song? I try to, he still seems. Yeah. Okay. I mean, he's no songs. How about you just shout the stuff, you shout the number. I send him out the number and start playing music to convey the idea. It's just as horrible as a demon. He goes, you're hurting me. I love my mom. Okay. Yeah. I step back and let the abuser's handle at this point. I'm done with the demon. Not done, but I think I got as much out of this as I could. Right. You're getting an impression that this, and you've heard stories you've never met in this type of demon before, but you've heard about how fierce warriors they are. That doesn't fit this guy at all. No. She's a test master. It's not his job to fight. Right. That might just be because he's a different class of his race. Yeah. You're not getting the impression that he's ever sung the battle songs or anything. Any sheep hurting songs? Come back here. Dunwick, if you wish to try to explain to him what you should be doing to feel free. Just say or do something that really connects you to your homeland. Well, it seems to understand that a little better. Yeah. He starts, but it's kind of like he's telling a story. That looks true. And it does seem to be of the history of his people. Oh. That's over. God. So. Go. I will actually give you a plus one going forward. We could pull it. We got six of us. Let's pull it over to the top. It's like to me what you're doing to create this gate to his land. Because that is what your country is. This is blood. Is it not Jared? Yes. Where are you creating last time that they opened it if it was right on the scar? We can move the cage if you want us to. So you either are going to move the cage and pick it up and throw it in there. Or you're going to open the cage and let him out. Oh wait. We can move the cage, right? Yeah. Drag the cage into it. It would take another rest. Probably four of you. But yeah. I think we don't open it to be fair until he sees his homeland behind the gate. Because otherwise he might still think we're planning something. He's dangerous as he can right now. He's almost dead. And then he healed him suddenly. Now how much I do in an average attack? We wouldn't really know how much he was healed. Probably to be honest. But a good amount. He's not bleeding anymore. You were definitely getting the impression okay. That barely worked. The first time. You don't get the better. A little better. I mean you have a rough estimate. Plus you still have an absolutely not idea how many hit points he has in normal. I'd say we dragged the opening of the cage to write up where the rip would be. So if he stepped out of the cage he would have nowhere else to go except into the rift. Maybe I have to tell the story about his land. Here you go. Eight plus three. That's a nine. That's a nine plus three. Twelve. Wow. We are rolling up. No experience tonight. Yeah. I don't get to open a dimension to somewhere else and have Cthulhu come in here and grab you. The deep ones. It actually works correctly. You open it to his dimension. And nothing comes out of it immediately. In you up in the door. This cage. He has takes for a moment looking into the dimensional rift and seeing that it is something familiar. And really it says absolutely nothing. It just works. The disappearance of Tyre heard. It's probably going to hit him. It disappears. You can't keep it open very long. But well done. General. And then it closes. Yeah, I wish it was closing. Close it. All right. Send everybody through. So how many more times do we have to do this to get everything back? There's a lot of time. Can somebody go outside and grab that giant carcass and bring it in here so we can throw it through. Actually the dents were all killed by the storm. Yeah. So we're in good shape actually. We damaged by having any other. Yeah. And those travelers from other planes. Okay. Let's return to the surface. Jared, do you want to study this scar? Why would we do that? Huh? That's why I came here to begin with. Right. That's what I'm saying. The church sanctioned this quest to find out about this scar. So what kind of completed this quest? Who? He's got a study. So you're going to? Well yeah. What is this actual one? Discover the truth of the scar. We haven't discovered the truth of the scar yet. It's still rather big. Truth. Yes. Truth. I like that though. It says discover the truth of the blank. So I just added the scar. Truth. It's a god decides when that's happened. It's still not the truth. Yeah. God will decide when I'm done with my quest. You know what I am? Oh the god. Almost. He doesn't quite have. Because really your quest meter is 75%. Right. There's a little golden cheering bread trail that still leads to the scar. Right. Yeah. Disappeared. And time. Close. See what makes it tick. We're going to do. Okay. Something tells me though it's going to take, it's more than just a quick spell. I think we really wanted to understand study but we wanted to understand it better. So I think, I don't think we have to stay in this cave forever. We can go back up to the surface and stay at that little village. We were at help maybe help rebuild. What'd you say? There's red cloaks. Jesus Christ dude. Grow a pair. But there's something one way out of here. What do you mean we do live in a cave for the rest of our lives? No. I'll go back to the city. Through the portal. Through the portal. What are you going to do? They come to the city all the time too. Leave that. Yeah. You promised to shelter me. Yeah. And now we're here. I'll shelter you here. Chill out. If you wish to learn and understand this scar you really have to stay here and do some. Probably for a week or so. That'd be a lifetime. It'd be a lifetime. So personally there is a profound lack of good food down here in the cave. Absolutely. That's true. I think we need to go back to the village. Where there's food. Where there's food. And a nice comfortable place to sleep in. Because I'm not sleeping on this rock floor. I've slept on so many rock floors. Jared. His first. Does not bother me. His first I remember you were trying to sell my eyes the fact that this device existed and how you used it. Yes. So you're not whipping it out right now. No. But he hasn't whipped it out before. No. Not in front of everyone. No. He actually snuck out. I did not know he snuck away. I haven't seen him whip it out. I thought when he was leading to a pebble hinge. No. He ripped that thing out. No. Like a load stone. He said. Like a dousing rock. Excuse me. I got it. He used a men's bush over here. Oh, okay. Then he whipped it out. Then he was. I've been waiting to see him whip it out. I haven't. He decided to whip it out. But he didn't mention that he had it. He did mention that he had it earlier on in the story. I remember him saying I have a long rod capable of. You've both seen him. I've never heard of the filler. Get out of here. Go eat your baby. I'm feeling for Mike. Not me here. Just that points in the right direction and leads me. Where's the pun when you need one? Two. Yeah. No, he did say it. No, I don't know whether he said it as in a description of the universe. No, he told his character side. Yeah, I thought we were clearly aware of him. Yeah, I will now ask Jared what he said and if anyone else knows about this. It's real like how the hell we can find it. I think it did mention that I had a device that I can use to find it. I do not ever pull out and show it, actually show it to anybody. Yeah, I'm not sure. That's pretty much my understanding. The only person I think is that I've seen it is your cousin. Yeah, your cousin. Because that's normal. No, no, no. You got it later on. Come on. You're the one who was a bitch at all this time. Yeah, I'd like to go back to the surface. Because I think this research is going to probably take a couple days. At least of research from the sky. That could be like... You look over at your news. Yeah, whatever. Yeah. Who's that? I'm going to go back and see if the ability can tell. I don't see how I can help. The only reason why I want to go back to the village is to make sure the red coats are gone before... Yeah. That's what I'm going to go make sure. I'll go get the shit out of them since he's so paranoid. Oh, kick in the shit out of the red cloaks. I'm there. Let's do it. I know. Is there a way to disguise you? Can't be looking for you specifically. You're not like a famous deserter. No. I can disguise you. I can put a dress on here. I can make him invisible. That's kind of cool to do. That is kind of cool. Simon isn't here, but he would tell you there are a number of letters. Many of them. And he's not that big. Can you, like, not tell a lie so if they ask him. Oh, my God. You were too silly. Are you like Mike when he tries to tell a lie? He starts giggling. He starts giggling. He's probably concerned because you know that there probably are some red cloaks that have been assigned to track you down. Is it likely that these are those two? Well, you've never seen the two or more that are chasing you, so you don't know. And you might not be chasing you. You might have, like, here's ten we're looking for. We're going town to town with the one of posters. Have you seen this guy? Man up. Seriously. Man up. They also could fight the empire. You want to do that? Go ahead. Look at that. They also could do it. Don't go do it. Magical activity that's been recent in the area. I don't think you're saying that. There's two of them. They're, like, ants. You just step on. Go fuck off. You want to fight them. Go do it. Good vision at me. Go do it. You're on the rest of your life? Go do it. Are you planning on running the rest of your life? Go fuck those fucks. I don't care. I don't care. He's more aggressive with me than the red cloaks. Again. Don't continue. Are you hungry? Because that's how I get when I'm hungry. I'm cranky. You're not hungry. You're not hungry. You're not hungry. You're not hungry. I think he's sleeping too. Yeah. He didn't sleep so good last night. The dwarf grabs you by the arm and is trying to drag you out of the room. But he's kind of orbiting around you. I mean, he is sort of... it was a success. It was a success. I get applications. It's like he... Shoo! It's where I have anything. No, he is pulling you and you are heading butt to be clear. There are a lot of exits from this circular cavern. Some of them head directly towards the town. And some head off and out shoots. And then there's the big one that heads backwards. So there's options. I would involve climbing action. He actually does. The other one's headed up at a slow angle. That's where the engine's going from. That's an option. How long have we been down there? Eight hours. I'm going to say a couple hours. The rituals are a lengthy process. Sure. Maybe we'll start this time of day to read any of you. It was more niche. Yes, it was a niche. It was like lunch then. Oh, it's... Yeah, it's actually passed a lunch time. Which is why I saw a message in such a hurry. Back to another drink. So I want to go up the tunnel that has the least amount of incline. Nice level incline where Matt likes to really pitch to the end. Maybe the one we walked out of before you walked out of before. That wasn't too bad when incline. Oh, yeah. That was a great one. That's the incline, Scott. Yeah. So I'm going to... I'm going to tell him to walk that way. I know exactly which one is the shortest route possible. Wow. Don't make favorable incline to the field. Yes. And then I lead him down the hardest one. And I totally believe in him. Hey, of course. Oh, wait, wait, wait. You know? My sense is pure slice. No. No. Good try. Yeah, no. I didn't tell a lie. I said, I know exactly the one that will take us there in the shortest of the time at the path. Incent? I... Allen is everyone. No. No. No. With decent fighting skills. How would I take a good walk? Actually, fat rolls. No. I'm just husky. I follow him. We go off the town. Anyone else want to go back to town? Yes. Needed better stadium. Watch him bubble. Who's staying here? Something I can't see. Wimpy and Jared. It's easy. Some of you head back. Yes. The village is the village. Yeah. It's sunny out, so it's nice weather. But the people are working on restoring the village. After it was... Much of it was destroyed by the devs. Right. Some people are still hanging out of the church. Allen. Your general store. There is an inn. Perfect. What? Well, I'd let go eat first and then perform some good works for Cindy. I think I'm heading out the town second. There's nothing I want to do here right this second. So, you just... And I want to get supplies. Will you bring them there so I can stay down there for a while? Here I don't. They can sense casters. They're going to be questioning Jago. If you go up there, they'll find you out. I've seen them put in their towns to the sword because there was a mage in them. Oh. No, they're fine. They're not fucking fine. Let me go. But you're a mage now. No. No, I don't. My store magic in me. I have to use it at places of power. I only have ritual. That's fine. You want to be invisible? You should try and make myself invisible. I'll go get whatever you need. Maybe he doesn't want to stay down here. Everyone wants to live in a cave. You're not fucking here. You're running out of life. I actually do. You're running out of life. You're way down the halls. You seem really dragged him out of their own. Yes. I do get some lunch. Yes. The inn is open and serving. How much does lunch cost? We have gold. We do have gold. I've heard of coins. How even did we split it up? We split it up. I buy you lunch because you don't let go. Thirty something coins. Thirty seven of these. Thirty seven of these. Thirty seven of these. Yeah. Thirty seven of these. Yep. Thirty seven of these. No problem. The tavern is the drunken barbarian. Of course, it's the friendly barbarian, but he's evident from the... He's totally. The picture. He's totally points. Right. Which is why he's so famous. It's a coin per person per hearty meal. All right. Well, one of my acts of piety today is to buy lunch for my quest members. Those of who wish to be here, which I don't believe. Yeah. That Zeb, he doesn't like real food. He would argue the opposite. Right. Of course, like real food. If I ate that shit, I'd be sure. He's like the world's playing vegans. Right here. Here we go. You're eating processed food. Of course, I am. Sanghuan is just paying, so I buy imported bourbon beer. Clearly. Well, a feast is 15 coins per person. That's not a lot. That's another story. That's real. That was one coin per person. That's a feast. I'm not buying a feast. You are? You consider it a lunch. You can't. I buy myself two lunches and one each of my friends. Four coins. And Jared, if he decides to, he comes to his senses and leaves the dank kind of fine. I think he's done with left. Well, he said done with away with shopping lists. Or you're going to, I don't know. You said. Yeah, I sent him away with a shopping list. Okay. I know he's not following. Yeah, he does. So five coins. Clearly. No, he didn't. Your cousin's it. Well, wait a minute. I wrote that down. Seven is a success with something bad. With an application. Yeah, I can't do it again. But I turn invisible. And I... He also do death. I'm death. Dude. So everybody returns to village. Oh, wow. Everyone's there now. No, they don't. Oh, nothing, no. Oh, nothing, no. Okay. That was meant by more lunch. We don't buy Jared a lunch. I want to do a spell. Oh wait a minute. What spell do you want to do? No, don't worry about it. All right, red cloaks here? You don't always there. Don't wait. Can you return to town? Yeah. I do not stop the inn. I had straight for the shop keeping an eye on for red cloaks. You did not spot any red cloaks while you came up. But, to be said, they're not in the inn. And that was... You looked for them. They're not one of the bar. To the opening. The farthest part of the village is like where the church is. Any gossip or buzz going on about the red cloaks being in town? All right. I are talking to people. Like say the bar made, yes. There's definitely talk. I'm definitely walking around invisible and next to anybody who would be talking about such stuff. Please drop it. What do they have to say? That there are two in town. Oh, you don't say. They are opening an inquisitor. Cool. That means something. Right. Yes. Because the inquisitors are the ones that actually do magic. And they are the ones that seek out people who abuse magic. She thinks they're currently at the church. Do we know their definition of abuse? I think it's the same as use. Do we think that they're here from a fire? Well, the empire that makes anybody that uses scars for ritual are abusing magic. Anybody who does normal magic, that's okay. They have these stuff. Do we think that maybe they were drawn here to the scar like much like we were? Or do we think, do we not know? You don't know and nobody seems to know. Although Jared can get to places you can't because he's invisible. And he sees some people over the corner whispering together. Oh, there's a couple of them. Now it wasn't four days since the imps were released. No, it was one day I think. It was yesterday. So that's not what we've heard of the scar being found. I want to show up eventually after I do my grounding in daily affirmation. Okay. Nothing very thing. Show up at the parking room. Is that like an elephant's dust? I want to gloss over the purchasing. Just tell me what I spent. And I make my way over towards Jago's house. Keeping an eye out still. Got to tell me what you want to buy. And then we'll look at how much you want. I don't know. But Jared. Oh, get to tell him what you sent him off to buy. But in your sneaking about invisible, you over here a couple of guys that are kind of... They got their heads together and they're whispering. So you know they're saying something. But you hear them talking about Jago. That the red cloak seems to be... It's an older guy and he's whispering to a younger kid and he's telling them. And I remember saying anything and don't even mention that you know about Jago. I get it. When our pet pal is not looking, I'm going to grab his food and drink. And then head off. That's just me. There's no way I'm not looking at the food. There isn't a time when I'm not looking at the food. One of your chicken legs starts dragging. Guy smack his hand. Stab the... Come on. You got a glance at the kitchen area or something. And you want to bring in more food out. Yeah. Turn around and get some of the beer. Oh, that looks good. Something's missing. Probably crap. Where'd my chicken go? And I'm like... Hey, give me a roll of the steels and food. I mean if you steal from anybody else, I just allow it. But you're trying to steal from the pallet. He's got an entire extra meal. I understand that. You don't think I know any chicken drums I got in my place? He might be looking at our place too. He might be looking at our place too. Are you going to fish that? I'm still going to need a de-axle to time your sneaking that he's looking elsewhere. You have to be a plus for the whole invisibility. It's basically to find the danger of the rolling fork and knife. Which is not a plus. Which is not a plus. It's going to be a straight up roll. You got to be a plus for invisibility. You got to give him a plus. Yeah. That's a very heavy something there. Okay. He would have a prayer if he wasn't. I don't know. I would say at least a plus two. Because that's a pretty substantial event. Oh. Five. Seven. That's why I see him. So, uh, no. There's no. But you see your chicken leg actually levitate off the plate and start leading. So you do catch it? Do I know that he has the invisibility spell? You've seen him use it before. You've seen him use it before. But as the chicken leg levitates off, it then suddenly disappears. It fades and disappears as well. Right. I have no idea that he is invisible right now because of the fear of the red cloaks. Because my intelligence is eight. So I'm like, "Oh, Jared. That's a good one money." Why did you just say you were hungry? I try to smack him on the back, you know, like pat him on the back. I'm like, "Why do you do the air?" Because he actually was smart enough to move as quickly as he realized that you seemed to notice him. You want the lunch? I buy. So, you succeeded. You got the chicken leg. You're still invisible. But apparently he figures out that it was you. And he's waving his arms around trying to catch you on the back. San Luis, you're so drunk. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Shut the fuck up. I kick him onto the table. He doesn't connect. Can I get shot in attack? No, I know. No, he doesn't connect. I mean, he's trying to completely stick. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. He has no idea. And he says, "I was just going to grab Jovial and stuff." Oh, don't leave. Come join us. Jared. Where are you? Jared. Jared. Jared. You get his game really difficult to play. Jared, if you don't look at your food, I might want to eat it. No, I didn't eat it. We'll try to find Jovial before the-- Oh, Jared. You don't know that he left. You never know that he was there? He didn't. He didn't. He didn't materialize. I'm kind of saying he didn't answer. So, Don Wick is going to buy some things. Yeah. What would you-- It would have been food, first of all, food and water for me. And by the roll, there's something for me to sleep in in there. So I can camp out there for a couple days. And, you know, candles. Good enough. Fresh ones. Candles. Yeah. That takes you roughly five minutes. Jared was sneaking around and-- You're still eating? Then I made my way to Jago's. And both of you are heading to Jago's, as it's trying to determine who's going to get there first. So let's say that-- Got Wick was getting there first, but as you're approaching, you're still invisible. You see him in front of you heading towards the cabin of Jago, which is on the outskirts of town. And both of these spots, two red cloaks and a guy that looks like wizard, garb, sitting in the same direction, but from the opposite side of town, where the church was. He's adorned with jewels and wears a fancy hat. He has a staff. I log the building up between us and then make a sprint for it so they can't see me running right to it. You spot him doing that and then you look to see what the hell he's hiding from it and see the other guys. Do I see him going in the same direction I'm going or-- Yes, he's definitely heading towards Jago's house. Let's say the way that the town's laid out, the taverns on the east side of town. Roughly in the middle is the trade post. And the west side is the church. They're coming from the west side. He's coming from the middle. You're coming from the east side. So you're all converging on Jago's house. He's swinging far in like in front of you and cutting to put the house in between him and the right close and running, trying to get there faster than they are. I need from you, Dunwick, a role. Exterra? Exterra to defy danger and get there before they do. And what are you doing with Jared while this is running? You're running to keep up as long? Yeah, I'm doing that and concerning going back and getting it back up. Dunwick, roll the 12th. Nice. 10 plus. You get to the house before they do. And in fact, there's a window on that side that you have the right. Now what are you doing with Jared? I'm probably going to run up to the house and look for a way in that's not noisy. The open window or open door or an unlocked door. Do you wish to arrive there before they are there? Oh, definitely. Okay, then you definitely need to roll the defy danger. Quickly without... Seven. You do achieve the household. You do unfortunately kick up a lot of dust and dirt and leaves. Enough so that they notice something unusual going on. The one guy puts his hand out to stop the wizard and he and his friend start moving in opposite directions and still heading towards the house but trying to take it from two different directions. You are at the window. Dunwick, what are you doing? I hit him to the jiggle. Jiggle, are you there? Wait, I need him to answer before. Give him advanced instructions, but... Right, he doesn't. I look into there and see if he's asleep on a mattress or something. It's a pretty tiny little place because he's happening after all. And it would be kind of uncomfortable for you to fit in there. But it's not a very big place. There's actually one little, one real job. And at first glance you don't see anything or anyone moving in there. Then I'm going to blow my horn. Okay. I start a song, a wild one, a body one. And start blowing my horn and singing along about balls. Balls? This body, I don't know. I am acting as a distraction. A body balls bow? Yes. It should be too hard. I love balls. They're pretty great. I use that big balls. My balls are made for charity and something. I'm trying to wake him up. And I walk around the corner and I act shocked. And I say, "Oh, my, an Inquisitor!" I had no idea. I don't know if I roll for this. All right. Your intent is simply to make a lot of noise. That doesn't require a roll. You can definitely do that. All right. Is that? You're heading back into town when you hear the dulce of torn towns of your friendly bard. I'm making a very loud rocket's noise in the woods. I instantly change it to an eagle and go see if I can find it. Okay. And actually not too far away. But I do need a roll to see if you can do other actions as an eagle or you're only going to get the flight thrown. And then pluck. That's a cool one. Wow. Ten, up an eagle. Twelve. That is very good success. You have three different actions you can do as an eagle. One of them is to change and instantly take flight. And you quickly approach the town and realize that it is Jago's house. You've been there before and you definitely see the bard standing out there and two red cloaks. Both of them have stopped and they're looking at Dunwick and asking who is he and what is he doing out here? Playing a song about golf. I'm traveling through the region. I was staying when some weather hit. And I stayed the night in here. I am today. We're talking about specifically here. The town's there. They point behind them. This is on the edge. Yes. I want to land and... Take one circle just to get the lay of what's going on and then you... I want to land behind them for a fair distance and just change back into myself and start yelling at him. There you are! Why aren't you at the end? I really love to be around and look at him. I say what? If they miss my song, so the ones with balls? The more drunk they are, the more they miss you. Which is the tongue right now. And they're drunk. Jared. Yes. You spot a little half wing climbing out the window that's on the side where... The laurel. Dunwick first came so it's away from. These guys are not... Not got fully around the house. But he climbs out the window and then slips quietly into the woods. What are you doing? Still observing? I'm still observing. I wanted... Who's closer to you? Probably. Let's see. You were coming from... One of us. Dunwick would be closer to you. Next to Dunwick and say, "Who is partume to take this car?" Okay. That's not a problem. The red clothes, however, are... No, no, no. Give me shit. Why the fuck you're in town? What are you doing by this house here? Singing. Why? He's what I do. He's what I do. I'm deceiving that. That's not quite from the house. Come on. Let's go. Let's talk to these assholes. Yeah. They don't even appreciate good music. They continue to get... Got opposite corners of the house and a... Robbed individual with his staff is walking up. And counting in the door as you guys... Uh, did Jared convey to me that... Yes. Jacob was gone? He didn't have to be quiet or anything. Well, you hear what's right here? No, he's invisible. I mean, he can be... Oh. I hear a whisper in my ear? Yeah. I fucking recoil like a spider or something. What the hell? You're thinking... Are you following the ground? Are you following the ground? No, he's put snow. I told him to stay downstairs. He disobeyed me, and suddenly this thing is whispering in my ear. I fall to my knees. You're so bated. You're so bated. Yes. I go, "Ah, what the fuck?" It's so bad. I came to get out of their range if they've got their attention elsewhere. I changed the eagle and beat it for the end to hit some reinforcements. Okay. Yeah, you definitely touched their attention with that reaction. And so I'm rolling on the ground. He is the cowardly lion. You're seriously rolling on the ground. I'm trying to cover it up now. He fell to his knees in shock. Give me a rolling at your charisma to see if you can even come close covering this up at a minute. Trips. When the balls came to my ear, I recoiled to the ground. I rolled a nine minus one is eight, which is a success, right? Is that a conditional? No, I have to get a ten. That is what the question is. But you have courage in the bonus. I say, "Fucking bugs, god damn it!" And I'm calling it my ear. Like, there's something in my ear. I'm backing away from him and going to the game and shaking my head. They not only think you're wrong, they think you're crazy. Yes. Let's say I locked a lamp and I'm crazy and brought them. But it's not unusual. Everybody in town either hates you or thinks you're crazy. Sometimes bullshit. Yeah. Yes. The two move closer to the house and the guy knocks a few times on the front door. But then eventually we'll help to the closest one. No help? I don't offer it. I don't offer it to help. Can you watch? What do you want? Water! Something! No. Go away! First they want to know what you're doing. They're way crazy, man. I'm just going to leave. May I fly? You may fly. Yeah. Without a gun. You would have to change again. What have you got the three action left over? Six plus two, wait. All right. Two. You need two successes in it. We have not missed one roll this evening. Shh. I don't think. It's almost the end of the night. I figured it was safe to say. So yeah, I'd be lying it to the end. Okay, you make it to the end without any commissar. The Inquisitor waves to the guy that's at the farthest side and he comes running over. And this one here, that's closer to him on this side of the building. He points over at you and the red cloak starts coming towards you. And then he stops. I pull out a jug of water shaking hands and try to slash it all over my air in some of the way. The door gets busted down on Jago's house as the Inquisitor and one of the red cloaks enter it. The other one picks you up, turns you around and kicks you in the ass towards the city. It's a go away. Go, go sleep it off. I'm fucking wrong. I think by luck it started as it wasn't worse and walked away. Okay. Not out loud though. No. Thank God it wasn't worse. Thank God they didn't find out. Zap lands outside the end, changes and probably comes running it. Oh, changed your mind. It's a situation here. Right. Good meal. It is a situation. My winner friend was here and stole some food. You just missed Jared. I explain as quickly as I can without an announcement. Anybody other than... No, no, no. He doesn't know that Jango got out. Jago. Jago. With a D. No. Zap does not know. Why? The next person to get back to the end probably just as you guys are leaving is an invisible Jera. So else we can't see him. Or we keep walking. So is that probably says like... He's in drug clothes. Yeah. Jago. And... Donwick. Oh, it's a... Donwick. Donwick happened to stop all the way. Right. No, what did you just say? Donwick. Do you even know that guy was there? Do you all rush out directly into Jared? He was invisible in the doorway. I curse the fact that I can't finish my meal and then get out then. He totally... Wouldn't you just stay behind? No. He's still there, right? I know. No, he's a member of our quest. I can't leave him. You see how scared he was of those red clothes before? He wouldn't even leave the cave. All right. I arrived. And just about now too, right? Well, actually no. If Jared isn't going to say anything, then we're going to go right by there. Right past Jared and run out toward Jago's place. I walked towards the end. Jared, what are you doing? I'm going to intercept probably the Paladin because he's gone. Oh, Jared. No signs are invisible. No signs are invisible. And at least likely to add fall on the floor and then swat his ear when I'm whispering over. What? Like anybody would do that. I'd give a dude to you all be a chicken druster. He's still invisible. Oh, I don't care. I have no idea why he's invisible. I have to agree. He just likes to walk around invisible. It's too wizard. If I was a wizard, I'd be walking around invisible and tell it. It's stealing food! I was further away though. Right folks are here. They're looking for wizards. I'm staying invisible. Jago got away. Dunwick almost got caught trying to help Jago get away. Is Dunwick still in danger? No, because when I was dancing back as I was walking this way, they were in the process of picking him up and kicking him toward the end. So they didn't recognize and they weren't here for it? Not that I know of. Around the corner comes a little half-ling and he's leaving Sister Chelsea. How many little half-lings are there in this town? I don't know. Hey, we have all of them. Well, too, counting one. Yeah. Sketch is the one. Oh, Sketch is the one. So we said, where are you there? He's hiding a bit. There's red cloaks all over the place. There are all two of them. What's up? They're big. Everything's big to you. You're monstrous. You're huge. The Sister informed you that there's red cloaks in town. And they were asking questions and some of the villagers told them about you in particular. You had some friends and one of them seems to be a castor of some sort. What a bunch of dick. No, I mean, word ventures. That's not yet flawed. We saved our lives. Oh, wait. You're talking about the magic thing? Yeah. That matters to the awkward it is. So she didn't tell them anything. Oh, I'm sure they know that you're in town just to give you a heads up. I'm sure that you're not updating that they wouldn't be concerned with. Okay. Putting all the pieces of information together. I see absolutely no reason why we should go back and eat. There's nothing so wrong with you right now that we can't eat. They're going to clear the table. Go. No, she told them everything about the damps, the frost giants. I mean, she's called a bank guy. Well, she's actually giving them any information about her. She told them that she's too busy and that they've had a disaster here and she didn't have any time to talk to them go back away from her. You know, we came here like shortly after the disaster. They were basically helping out the village and then they ran it on us. It's a city folk. They're so fucking corrupt. Well, there you go. True enough. No argument there. As far as they, the villagers see it. There was never any problem in this quaint little village until we showed up. No, we showed up after the problem. We're talking here a second. One of us put up all the players. They could hear us. It's an incredible coincidence. There it is actually an incredible coincidence. I thought so. Okay, show. They're simple folk. You want to go kill these guys? I'm not a big end player fan. I'm from a church. They don't believe my god. They're kind of an inquisitor. Well, I mean, but again, your points being that there's no real ones. I think right now, right? Yeah. I mean, they're going to accept for stopping them from rem sacking his house and then chasing him. Well, there's no fighting. He got away though, right? Maybe. Maybe. Well, for how long? He's a hobbit. Hobbits in the woods. Yeah. Yeah. It's tiny. Yeah. That's how long they go away. Well, then. Or... This thing is under own protection kind of deal. But I mean, that would be the... Is that part of their art player? Yeah, but that's always a fact. That's kind of their job. But that would be the worst that they're chasing him through the woods right now, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The reason I gave the alarm is because Dunwick and Jerry were possibly an alarm player. Well, I guess we have to decide what we want to do. I mean, we... Do we just... Right. Yeah. The two points might not be best to rush off there and just kill them right now. Or force a confrontation right now. In this discussion, Dunwick shows up. And he says we should go kill them. I stand at the door and say, "Jerry." He's got to say his name three times. He's still visible. He's still visible. I go very... It's not invisible. He doesn't become visible? I go as quietly as closely as Dunwick's heir to him. I say, "What?" I reach up and slam him in the cage. I knock this fucker to the floor. Try to hit him. Family. I know him. So I know where he is. There's no minus to that. He's trying. I'm trying to make him fall in poor water. Very good. This is a... Seven. Merely. That's a success. That's a success. With a... Unclick it. Does the invisibility run out? No, that would not be a complication to you. That would be a complication. It is definitely a complication. But my understanding of invisibility until he takes an action that is aggressive and/or spell-caster-y. That's a word. It is. What are the case? Blood sprays into the air. Until the target... We still didn't. Until I attack or I dismiss the effect. We still didn't miss. No, we still didn't miss. There. The reason we all loved him. It was more of a smack. To be honest, it was more of a little backhand. You hit him with your gloves. Just admit it. You're a bard. You hit a bit slow. Whatever. Boys. Um. Boys. Do you have anything that would cause him damage if he punched him? His face. It's hard as a rock. Like, thick skull. Do you have any weapons of any sort? I got staff. Is it a rock? I got leather armor. Which, I got armor one, but you didn't want. It's got that rock in your face. I punched him in the face. Well, you... You missed. It's invisible. I grabbed his head height. I was like, "Huh?" Well, he saw you at the last second turn and you hit his shoulder. Can you say you wanted to break anything? You could've broke one of my anti-toxies. No, no, no. I don't want him to break something at you. I don't want him to be hurt by something. Oh, he punched my spell book. Clearly. How is it? You're aiming for his... It's a metal-rated force. It's got a very sharp... It's got a very sharp... It's like a wood. Across your chest you have anti-venom and an empty vial. And I'm like, "Gah! Fuck!" I'm gonna backhand you again. Well, wait a minute. This is going to take damage from punching him. Yeah. That was your complication. Good little question. Bar will drop. He needs like... It's not even a bar will. It's pathetic. It's like slapping with gloves and... There's four handles. A die-four damage. Oh, it's just getting them started. You punch him in the air. And his armor doesn't count. Because he hit it with his hand. Right. Ooh! Ooh! Yeah, he's like sticking out of my... You punched him in the vial and one of his empty vials shattered. You got glass in your hand. I smack him with him. I heal him in first. Stop it! Oh, stop it! I heal him. Okay, now you don't know where he is because I'm sure he's trying to get the fuck away. He's trying to hit you. Oh, damn. I am the law only works on NPCs. Stop! Fighting! Holy crap. He needs to do this. You get to avoid that. Well, wait. He rolled a ten. To hit, right? I rolled it along. You have eleven. Eleven. What's this plus or minus? Zero. Well, he should get a minus two for being visible and not going on. Hold on. I used to extend this point. I think you're right. Oh, then it's thirteen. She's sexy. There was no reason not to go to the bar and eat. I heal. Wait. You can't heal him yet? Why not? Because if I get injured by one, I can give you a plus two, four more. Oh, it's over. Sure. Eight, nine, ten. Sure. Yeah, you're swinging it there. He's gone. How did he do that? He defied this. He defied danger and he's invisible. I knew where you were going to speed. He sees her. I'm not meant to fight in this game. No, they're not. No, they're not. You can't fight and I'll grab a rock and I'll throw it and I'm over here. And I'm over here. I don't take the rock and I'll throw it at him. I say, I didn't take the beatings from rocks. I told him I'm going in my house. He's not hitting you. He's distracting with noise. We're outside the game. Okay. Everyone's out there. I don't think you won't walk back in the end of it. It's ridiculous. We're losing good feeding time. That's a terribly boring report. It is. It's trying to hit me and then I'll stop. And I just sigh and sit down with the bar and say, I need a drink. Yes. Now you can heal him. And the bar may bring you some whiskey. Some strong stuff. I pour it over to I am and then drink the rest and start pulling loss up. Or get healed by the clerk. No. No. No. No. He's seen the clerk heal before. I'm not taking you. See? It pushes itself out of your hand. And you're no longer drunk. It really pisses you off. Please. Get me another one. All right. It's been only a couple minutes. There's still food there, right? Oh yeah. It makes it better. I get the bib and the food, right? Put back on the bib, slide it on. When it comes back, please. It's just a matter of time before the red cloaks. Right. Either find us. Find us or find him. Right. So your men are doing so. What? No, they're going to want to know what we're doing here. Right. They're lucky enough they didn't detect you walking around. I don't know what incompetent... Whatever. Why are we here? We should be gone. They're starting the scar. They're starting the scar. You're eating. Yeah, you're eating. What's most starting the scar? You've been eating for an hour. They don't even know what they're talking about. Oh, is that what we're going to tell them? It's a big meal. Well, no, I'm just saying. He said, why are we even here? Yeah, was that what we're going to tell them? Why are we in this tavern? We're drinking. We're drinking. Because we have to eat? You're drinking. It's good for the soul. Take a deep breath. They're very uptight bar. They're looking for us. I just heard they're looking for us. What? When they show up and they find out that we're the adventurers. Right. Yeah. And that you two were around Django's house. Okay, you got me. Shit. Not me. When they were going there. Right. Then they're going to have more questions. You know what? They were obviously drunk. Didn't they kick you in the ass? Can you get out of here? So they're not looking for you. They kick you in the ass. Right the second. Right the second. But they will put two and two together eventually. Even if I stick with you. Look. They have an Inquisitor. That is bad. Oh, I know. It's worse than the red cloaks. I am scary. It is exactly worse than the red cloaks. No, I know. It is a legitimate officer of the Empire. We are going to create a non-empire land. I get that. So we get that? No, they document where every Inquisitor goes. If he disappears here, they have our trail. They don't have our trail. They send... Do you think these villagers will fucking defend us? They've ratted us out. We'll walk out of town this way and then double back. They're villagers for crying out loud. They live deep in shit. They don't know anything. They can't even make a good burger for Christ's sake. Christ's sake! Sorry. He's great! Mark Anderson just kind of pissed us. People come up with some lovely fills over here. I love this town. Not everyone in it's a dick. Bartender's great. The worst people here. All I'm saying is there's three of them. There's... How many of us? I can't count. I'm just saying we could have a plan. We should have a plan. Yeah, we should have a plan. No, a very good idea. I think our plan... I think our plan is not to run. It's not to run. It's not to be like... It's not to run. It's not to fight. I'm not saying it's not not to fight. I'm saying it's not to run. Is it not not to fight? Are we going to fight? It's not not to fight. Oh, there's going to be a fight. How many knots do we have in the fight? I scratched my head because that really confused me. You said it. Yeah. Are we fighting them? Not really. They draw their weapons. Do we... We don't ambush them. Or if they start stringing up the little Hobbit guy? What? What kind of bad about that? You cannot lie. What? They will question you. You can't lie. There's something in here now. I peer-slice. You have to be honorable and drink something out of you. You just lied. Did I lie? Yeah, you're too scared. We don't always lie. I know. I'm just a little bit drunk. We always take them down to the start and open up some portal to another dimension and push them. And push them? Correct. That would go on the demon one. We should totally go. Listen. I'm not going to run away dial here. There was one involved. Original. That would just be a random one. You don't care. That's what we send him to. You guys got down the open down time. Right. The idling part. Listen. I'm not running away from the studying of this scar because of three little inquisitors. He's not running anymore. One inquisitor. One inquisitor. Is that even three? Yeah. He's one of the two thirds. I know you don't know this very well, but they don't send three. Well, there's three. Right? People? Yes. I thought it was three inquisitors. No. No, I knew that. My character has no idea. Group seven quizzitors come for big deals. Right. Dead inquisitor, big deals. Right. So if three red cloaks disappear in East, Bumfuck, which is where we are right now. Everyone just nod their heads. A wonderful East Bumfuck. Yay. I think we're West. Bumfuck. Actually, we're actually West Bumfuck. Let me check them out. And we're safely Wisconsin back in East Mugg Farm. No, we're in our university. Riverhold. No, no, no. Riverhold. I'm not going to fight them. I don't know why you are. You know you're not going to fight them. It's a bad idea. I know. I know it is. It's very scary. We'll be okay though. Trust me. I can. You're going to get a head start going back home. And then we'll take care of it. What have you got in there for? Well, they're just going to be tied to it anyhow. Sure. Are you from the Empire? No. So no one understands. Simon would back me up on this. Oh, yes, Simon. You don't. East passed out of his plate, clearly. Everyone. Why are we listening to Sanguineous? We need a plan, but we don't want to talk to them. He can't lie. He wants to talk. He stops and I can't lie. You're a very good bar. See? It wasn't even telling me. It wasn't even hard. I live here. It's like, tell me you're not hungry. It really is. What? Tell me you're not hungry. Tell me you are not hungry. I'm always hungry. You can see the thought. It's such a situation. It's just no. Nowhere on my character's cheek does it say I can't lie. Why did you slur a medical? For the sake of your own life. I'm just real polite. I'm in a coma. Listen, I get it. You wet your little panties whenever the red clothes come around. We're going to kill them and then you don't have to be scared. You don't have to be scared no more. Or you could have any more. No more. That's it. Or you could get drunk at all. But that's not a fair little guy. No. Where we need to be. There's no friends. Yeah. Don't look at her. She's probably not going to die. She's not a bad idea for those of them. She's going to be looking for a drug. The wizards and the ex folks did. Although they don't lie low and have that you guys can talk to and then have to get into a fight and then we can all jump over. You should have no idea who they are. Yeah. Although the point. I've volunteered by the bar. What's the strike real quick? You said they may not be looking for us, but ever kill them they will. Yeah. There's going to be a better plan than running away or killing them. Right. They're pretty loud, right? Let's trick them. You don't be not that quiet. Yeah. Let's trick them. And there are a bunch of people here who don't like us. No. They just don't know us. He's still going down like three times. He just don't like him. We made fun of them. They're standing meaty. Oh my god. A lot of them knew that we saw that. And then we're discussing our plans for potential murder really loudly at a table while most of us have drunk. We do this at our secret location. Don't fucking lie. Say it's my giant drunk. I think we had a secret location. Exactly. Where's that? Our secret letter. I'll fucking drag you. She's where all the tunnel surrounding the city. Well, we could go back there, but I want to -- I want to -- I have to heal some of the townsfolk because they were really wounded. You'll do that silently. Perhaps with a gag. No. Not that bad. Hey. And fuck. Just no more plans while we're drunk, surrounded by people who have already told the people what we've done. Especially plans that involve murder. We haven't done anything wrong. We are planning on doing something wrong. No, we were discussing how bad an idea was to murder the red cloaks. You think it's bad? Yeah. To murder them? Yes. Apparently he died. That's a revelation. Murder? However, if they attack us and we defend ourselves with pointy weapons, then... That's still not great. Right. No. Because I'll send more. I grabbed his dude. It's only a matter of time before they start. Hopefully he'll follow me. It's only a matter of time before they send people to investigate River Hold. It's... River Hold is over there. Okay. No, it's a trickle down. Okay. It'll happen down the line. Yeah. Well, you know, by your description though, then... Oh, place is safe. Oh, place is safe. It's the Empire. It's the fucking Empire. This is how many free states have fallen to them. We don't -- I marched through the ashes of homes. Now we shouldn't make it safe. Yes. We shouldn't run with our little panties and a bunch. If the Empire wants something or someone bad enough, it would be difficult to be safe from them. Of course it would. So, the idea is to keep them from wanting us bad enough. Right now they don't increase our notoriety. Oh, no. We don't want to increase our notoriety. Either do we want to run away from the one thing we've been searching for. Let's run to it. Do we know why they're asking? Why they're asking Jago? He's just messing with us. Because he was messing with the scar? Possibly. That's my guess. He's the only magic user in this town that they could talk to. Jago, you know for a fact that some of the villagers were talking about protecting Jago. You overheard that. See, they're not so bad. I buy the villagers. Just as a reminder, apparently they can be loyal. They're just not necessarily loyal to you guys. Well, Jago is one of their off. We should make them like us before we beat the villagers. I buy them a pocket. They're trying to help Jago out. We should befriend Jago so they'll help us out. Was it? Well, in front of Jago was pretty much shot out the door when you destroyed Pebblehenge. Oh. I thought. No. He wasn't too pleased with that one. So is that what we should do first by Jago? No. Pebblehenge went ballistic during our ritual. What happened? It went ballistic because he kicked it over. See what is going on? Can we not argue right now? We're implementing ourselves. I'm trying to say he doesn't like us. I don't care if it doesn't like me. I think he's okay. I think they'll protect him and now that he's not in his house they'll have trouble finding him. Jared, could you lead this group back and I'll distract them as they come to the bar to try to find us? Nope, nope. You? They don't know me. They know you. You're God. They'll kill you. They know I was going to the bar and now I'm going to be seen. Actually, I could make them like us. No. No. Yeah. I don't even like you. I've been traveling with you for a week. You can't help that you're an ass. We all have one. You're the one just a little larger. You're the one person if they figured it out. Isn't that the danger here too? So why would you want to distract me? It's not the only one. There's like the one that wants to buy them, right? Right. It appears they don't recognize me. That's enough. I had the moment. So why try to push that thing further by shoving your face in front of them and singing in front of them and distracting them. So we have two options here. One is to go back to the scar and research it. And one is to help Jago out who seems to be in a little trouble with the red cloaks potentially. I don't see why we can't do both. Bring Jared there. Jago. You can use it. Magic at the scar. Do help. Well, well, we don't know where Jago is. No, I mean, you know, you seem to say you rescued him like he climbed out of his house or whatever and he got away. I'm not saying it's super loud, obviously. I'm just, you know, saying maybe we need to find him and lead him to the safe house. You go ahead. I'll give it to you. Oh, wait. No, I'm still throwing him off. I'll lead someone who's good. I mean, I'll be the weapon. You know, the muscle. If you're saying that's what we're doing. Okay, that's what we're doing. We're getting tokens. Tokens world tokens. Mm-hmm. Halflings disappear in the woods and are very hard to find. Is that our world? Is that also true? Yeah. I mean, the only halfling we have. Ryan? Oh, can you pick up Ryan? Right. He could. You're right. Something that makes me more stealthy. Yes. Give that to me. Oh, it's just a tag as it were, something that existed. But he was old and decrepit. He was. But he still has. Possibly a lure. He now. But experience. So. We've made him the same level of theory. I would say that since he got to be so old. Because he knows. Like, yes, he did. When going gets tough, tough gets going. Out the door and out the window. Well, does it really hurt us to look around? No, absolutely not. But. Seven of you trounced him. Yeah. I'm sticking here. You're doing the woods. Send the. Yeah. Send these two. Perhaps the. Druid is the Ranger. Right. Do you guys want muscle? Or do I just make too much noise? Because if you tell them I'm a little finish your dinner. Right. Okay. I drop twenty-five there. Yes. When they rub together. I just. You. You. You. You. Just give me a stick. I would suggest you start with the Pebble Hinge first. If they're leaving, which is the case. I'm staying. I'm staying too. Maybe you should sing like we said you were going to. Yes. I start to weave a tail of our, just what we did. No! I don't know our names. I couch it in old terms. What is it? Archetypes. You can't just make up any other story in the world. What is your encounter? I'm trying to get them to realize that we collect Jack and the things he summoned and how we got him back to where he belongs. I'm just saying that there's a place close by. I just referenced things that happened here recently. But you couch it in historical terms. Right. And by referencing things that happened here recently I hope they catch on that I'm referencing what happened here. And I pay for some drinks. Alright. I eat more food. I don't pay for that. I'm staying visible. No. First time is possible. You go back to the... Yeah. We take his groceries and me and Jared at back handle the scar in around about fashion because we're not idiots. I'm not sure Jared agreed to do that. Jared, do you want to go back to the scar? I want to go back to the scar if I don't leave everybody here at that wizard. I'm leaving. Okay, let's go. So you're waking up in three groups or something? Three groups? We go around about way not just straight to the scar. The woodly types, the druid and the arranger are heading out. So I'm going to sustain here with the dwarf and the wizard are heading back to the bat cave. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sketch at least want to go with the... I'll leave it up to them when I come back. It's not right here because it's nearly midnight. And we want to do the wind-up. No one got experience tonight from Roland. From actual roles, which is a first. So as a group, did you guys learn something new and important about the world? There are large bugs that will fly in your ear and make you fall the ground in poor water. I'm not sure that's important. I just learned that. Inquisitors, we didn't even know about it. No, we didn't learn anything. I mean, nothing great. I mean, I don't think. I don't think we were. I disagree. Inquis, tell me, tell me not to speak to demons and send them back to... And how to fine-tune and dial in a portal? You don't think a lot of the wizarding is important? It was going to be a better word. It was twice. We got it twice already. But I say, yes. We learned how to use it. G.M. says yes, you take the experience. Did you ever come a notable monster or enemy? I could say yes again. I mean, the demon, you fought him once and lost. And this time, you overcame. I was impressed with the piece of ore as all of you could have killed him. Sure. I really love this. No matterable treasure, no treasure to speak of so far. You've got food and beer. Okay. All right. Well, you bought that. Hell of a sudden. And then we'll go individually. Starting with Jera. Alignment into our personal bond? Um, discover something about a magical mystery. It's kind of got a point for that already with the group figuring out that the scar I think could be used for... No portal? So you really learned anything new. There's potential to learn more later. I tried to annoy Sanguine with magic by some feeling, but it just made him laugh, so it didn't really annoy me. I had to be honest. I thought I was genuine. And if you can't annoy you by stealing food, I don't know what the hell that's going to annoy you. Nothing will work. If not, there was annoy anybody with magic, I would have gotten it from Donway. Oh yeah. Definitely annoy him. You might want to make a bond, but yeah. Strike. Alignment. Treat someone who's literally or figuratively in bonds? Yeah. Yeah. Score. Dig, dig, dig, dig, dig. Well done, sir. I got to make some new bonds. For the second week in a row, Sanguine does not meet any of his alignment or personal bonds. Did you have a bond? I did have lots of fun. I'm going to make a bond that I just am absent. My job is to protect him from himself. Donway? Can you have another bond, then, that says I will force the group to argue for hours and resolve nothing? Yeah, absolutely. Because you'll get mileage out of that thing. You'll see your mileage out of that shit. I did that three times tonight. So I say no for my alignment bond. Engage yourself to protect someone weaker than you. All the person I really endangered myself for was a demon. I don't really know if it was weaker than me. It was in that instance. Yeah, but I got a lot of points for that demon. I just think that's really kind of going to the well one time too many. So I'm fine. That was an extraordinary effort. Thanks. Swear to protect Donway from red cloaks. I guess I sort of did that a little bit. Yeah, you did. You showed up. Sure. Give me an alibi. Sure. That's the point. No, but it did protect the same thing. Actually, I was protected from red cloaks. There you go. Let's not get into specific. That's not worry about who protected whom? I got nothing. Do you want me? Nothing? No, no, no. No? My alignment, which is Chaotix brothers and two unplanned and decisive action. I think I did that today. Yeah. Yeah, wow. Okay. I also have a bond that says don't mess with the empire, but I think I messed with them. Then I got... I tried it. Not messed with that. Magic can be dangerous. I pulled Jared back from using it. I fucking tried. You did. And then I beat his ass when he didn't. You tried? Yeah, you sure beat up the file on my card. Sure beat. Get the shit out of that glass bottle. I can't help the dice. I knew where his ass was. You wouldn't beat it. You meant the dice. Well, guys, you should talk to me about it. Well, you didn't try to stop him from using the scar. Yeah, okay. Think you have introduced something. What's that? I don't know if you guys... Everyone voted on who they thought was the MVP of the night. You did something fun or something most important. Yeah. You don't want to do that. And the extra you have to be the person? Yeah, I just want to actually... I mean, sure. As long as it's not like who did the best job of role-playing or something like that. Like something who made the evening more interesting. Most fun or... Yeah. Or something like that. I can go for that because then it should really shift around the table quite a bit. Not that role-playing couldn't, but... I hope that that would push it to make other people do wacky shit. I do all the time. That's great. Yeah. The first would have changed alignment. Yes. Really, if you get... I changed mine three times. Who are you pointing in? All right. Good one. Two nominees. Who's the one that made the night fun? Don't make it too quick. Don't play. Don... I was smart. Don't make it. Anybody else got another nominee? No. So I'm going to say... He was... You know what? He always caught a bad guy in music. He was... Buds, I don't know how much of it was really in the story. I don't know how much it really affected it. You can't really vote for yourself, so if there's two nominees, you got to get to vote for each other, so you're both out, so there's four votes. We said I was over here. Well, you have to vote for him. Don't make it too quick. Yeah, there's choice. The other four of you can vote. And if there's a tie, both of us get one. Sure, why not? Because that's not fair to get a French. All right. Point. What are we voting against? What are we voting against? They're the wording again. Who made the night most fun? Who helped make the night? I mean, no man is an island. Three, two, one, go. No, Jack. All right. Okay. John, I guess an actually good deal. Good deal. Don Wick gets the point. Yeah, I have changed my fondant annoys somebody in the party with magic instead of just... Great. I want to join... With the time of the night. (Music) And the players starting on my right arm. I have no idea what I am today. Let's see. Who am I? Jared. Oh, he is. Good Jim. Jim playing Jared the human scholarly wizard. I'm Doug playing Schweik the Elfish Ranger with a mouthful of pretzels. Can we try to go into detail a little bit about what happened when I missed this week? No, absolutely not. So, I am having the best success record of anyone here who has any ability with magic whatsoever. Oh, man. Fuck, I was going to cut this all out. That is so funny. He's got to stay here. Which is for a testament on how bad we are. Yeah, a lot of experience for all. That was it. And many roles are called to save the day. There you go. You walk in the bedroom and you talk to other guys, don't you? How do you say it? Some things you don't. You don't do. Okay, so... How's it going? I'm pissing you. There are probably some red coats assigned. Clothes. Clothes. We're crying out loud. Red coats. Red coats. That's a fucking British. I'm not saying it's not. Not to fight. I'm saying it's natural run. Is it not not to fight? Are we going to fight?
