[music] Hello, and welcome to Night to the Night Actual Play Podcast. This World of Darkness story, Shagren, was written and run by her storyteller Scott. [music] And now, please enjoy Episode 130, titled Into the Fray. Actual Play Start, 16 minutes, 5 seconds. [music] Alright, first off, I want to start and apologize to all of our fans that don't live in the United States. And why? Why do we apologize to all of our fans that live in the United States? Yeah, why are we apologizing to fans? Because many of them have submitted iTunes reviews, which in their infinite wisdom, Apple has designed it so that the reviews are separate for each country in the world. That makes so much sense. There are in fact 155 different countries to look through to see if there are reviews for many of them. Now, I'm not going to do this weekly. So I would ask our listeners that if they do submit a review and they don't live in the United States, please send an email to feedback@kotmpodcast.com with what country you live in. And then I'll go look into that country's reviews. Or they can post it on Facebook as well. No, we actually do that official first thing. Or on the iTunes reviews. On the Facebook side. Post it. And I appreciate all the work they're doing, but just a little email and feedback to let me know it's there. Because going through 155 different countries to see if there is possibly one new review of them. Yeah, dude. Yeah, that's not going to happen. Well, however, I did do that and found reviews. He did do do. I did do do. I did do that. Good boy. And found reviews from people all over the world. Wow. I bet it was really cool. First off, we had one from the United Kingdom. That one you should say from Mike, because he's such a total anglophile. Well, Mike is in here today. Right. He's just staying in the... It's going to sting, as I'm saying. It's going to sting. Karma Duff from the United Kingdom said really very enjoyable actual play. The remaining space on my iPhone now taken up by the Jezend Files and the new Hunter game. It was a five-star review. Excellent. So thank you very much for that review. Yeah. In Australia, we had a couple of reviews. Cheerio. No, it's the last guy that I see. Like, because this is G'day. Deviant Apostle, five-star review, said great gaming goodness. What we have in this series is an all-around winner. The stories are well-crafted. The players are into their characters. The production values are excellent. Though the medium doesn't lend itself to scary, the stories get tense and creepy in just the right places. The appropriate ambient sound effects also add to the mood and the series is well-added. If you like the world of darkness, horror gaming, actual play, or just want to get a general feel of a gaming system, do yourself a favor and check this podcast out. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Deviant Apostle. Ensign Expendable said great actual play podcast, five-stars. It's from Australia. We've got quite a few from Australia. Wow. We're big in Australia. Apparently we are big in Australia. I'm only up to episode 20. This is how old the review is. Yes, I'm very sorry. Or they might have started, though. They don't have the actual dates on these. Right. But I'm only up to episode 20, but this is quickly becoming one of my favorite actual play podcasts. I'm interested in world of darkness games, but hadn't really taken much of an interest in Hunter, the vigil, before hearing what these guys do, inspiring stuff. Now I'm thinking that I might just give it a try. The storyteller has a great story and obviously has some experience at this. Thank you. I think it's pretty tight and the sound quality is great, especially as it's apparent that it's just recorded on an iPhone. Some podcasts make me want to rip out my earbuds. If one of the players shouts. She doesn't mean it's actual earbuds, right? Well I think the earbuds is listening to tonight. Okay. If one of the players shouts and it isn't smooth out in post processing. But on this podcast, it all seems pretty even. It's very rare that anyone is too quiet. It gets better. It gets better. I don't think it's better as we move to a better recording device. The sound effects in the background also add to the mood and differentiates this from other actual play podcasts. The length of each episode is perfect for me as I listen to the podcast on my work commute. Lastly, none of this would help anything if it wasn't for a great group who all seemed comfortable role playing together and seemed to have fun while keeping it intense. It is a very, we say it a lot, but a really good group. We were all fighting with each other and breaking immersion. The stories would be so much less, I think, effective and so much less fun to play. But the fact that everyone can be contrarian to each other and still keep the story going forward, I think, is a sign of some really experienced role players who have been doing it with each other for a long time. It's neat that people notice that. Mercer, a five star review also from Australia said, "You asked, I delivered." Seriously, we aren't big in Austria. Hi, we are. "You asked for a five star review. I shall deliver. But not just because you asked, but because you deserve it. Well, if you happen to stumble across this podcast, you will not be disappointed. I salute you, crew of KOTN podcast." Cool. So, thank you Mercer as well. One last review from Australia. The Dougo. The Dougo. Five star review. All others to be judged against these guys. Wow. Best actual play podcast, period. No other group is as competent or comfortable with what they are doing as this group is. Special tip of the hat to GM Tom's kids for keeping up with the much more experienced dad and uncles. They had to be tough. I'm a dad. You are a dad. Not mine. You're just not a third dad. No, I mean, they actually got a good point because they stepped right in to a very established group and really didn't miss a beat. Not that established. In 35 years. Yeah, I think as you're right. Just three and a half decades. I think they started slow. I mean, if you listen to the Dresden, both of them were a little bit quiet in the beginning. But by the end of it. Or even halfway. Yeah. I mean, by the "Gulking" episode, which is about the halfway point, I think of the story to be a little bit past that. They were talking into the room. Not too many in the room. The vote we had for favorite character. Right. Came right down the wire between yours. Right. Time established role player and John's. Oh, absolutely. So. And again, mine was easier. I think mine was easier to role play too, because mine, I just think that John had a harder time role. Like he had a more difficult persona to pull off than I did. I had an easy persona. Yeah. You had more experience being attacked. Right. True. London came natural. Right. I did. I mean, it was just I didn't have to research him. Research is a bitch. Right. But yeah, no. Nice compliments. And I think they did jump right in and filled admirably for some of the players that we lost right after the first World of Darkness game, which was lost to children. Yes. Well, that's just to children, you know, but also we lost Greg to impending marriage. Right. Just busy life. So. Next World, Greg. Indeed. Okay. Oh, yeah. The reviews. Nice to appreciate it. This whole problem with the iTunes reviews makes sense now. We had someone that said they sent one out there and that they see it and we never saw it. And Jason McDonald, same thing, he said, oh, I'm looking at it. I'm looking at it. It's a matter of the other five reviews. And I read that too. When he posted it, I was like, oh, let's see. I have reviews. You have 23. Yeah. Are 32. I don't remember. See, like it's the last week. It's the end where you can select the country and it turns out that Jason McDonald is in Canada. Right. Canada is separate as far as iTunes is considered and I asked him, well, I mean, he's putting on one fucking. We're giving you the option to do so we wanted to. Not only did Jason help me find the problem, but he actually found me a YouTube video that showed that there's a little icon in the lower right corner of the iTunes thing. You click on it, it brings up all the countries and you can say, I want the reviews from this country now. You can change to each country. It's still a bit, it's still a pain in the ass, but it's possible. I mean, the other option was to fly around all these countries in the United States. Just fire it up beneath the airport. We also had one iTunes review from New Zealand. Kiwi. Blackfish. Five star. The best actual podcast. The best actual play podcast. We're just the best. We're just the best. We're just the best. We're just the best. I think we are the best. Great stories, characters in editing, make this a thrilling podcast no matter what your system of preference. Even though I have only passing familiarity with the world of darkness and Dresden, this podcast is easy to listen to and totally recommended, well done, everyone involved. We have some from Canada. The first was Chaconius, which is, of course, Mr. McDowell. He was the one who helped me search this down. Wait, which McDonald's this? This is the month. It's Jason. No, it's just Jason. It's not the month. No. Expert players, expert GM storytellers, great editing and pacing. The twists and turns of the story be they Dresden or World of Darkness leaves you wishing you are at the table with these guys. The table chatter when it does happen is related to the game and adds to the overall environment of the excitement, intrigue and mystery. The game mechanics are present, but they're not allowed to take away from the momentum and add to the stress from role to role. I highly recommend to anyone who's interested in being a fly on the wall with this great group of role players. So thanks. Thank you. Jason. Thank you. Jason. Robiah. Robiah. Silcer. Said five star view, said awesome cast. Finding a good group of actual play podcasts for New World of Darkness is difficult, but I was lucky enough to stumble across my favorite Splat Hunter in a podcast. The characters are engaging and the story is mysterious and creepy. The storyteller does an exceptional job. I must admit that I'm filtering ideas and habits for my own game, only up to the eleventh episode but loving every minute of it, looking forward to the rest. So hopefully-- Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully he's stuck with us and we'll hear us in episode 130, which this one is. Freaky, Wiki-woo. You won. What's me? That's me. You went up the camera. I see you. I see you. I see you. You're an alien alias. His work gives us five star review, a great actual play podcast with high production values. The players are focused. The storytellers keep the game moving with a great pacing, a very solid podcast and a great show of the New World of Darkness Hunter line. I highly recommend it. So. Thank you. Very nice. Freaky, Wiki-woo. Kyle left, said wow, just wow, another five star review. By far the absolute best New World of Darkness actual play. I have heard yet. Scott, the storyteller, is the Stephen King of Tabletop Gaming. The characters are unique, refreshingly intelligent. I'm sure my television is jealous of the attention that I've been paying to my phone thanks to these guys. That's a really nice statement and I mean I really appreciate the kind words. I think that comparing anyone in any venue to the Stephen King who would obviously live the master of the horror genre, I think it's just an incredible compliment and I just had to figure out how to make Stephen King money during this. Right. Which is so not going to happen but it's just funny because you know when you're doing it and when you're writing the story it never feels like it's as tight as you want it to be. It never feels like it's as smooth as you want it to be or people get the little nuances that you put in, you know, the little metaphors and symbolism and whatnot but it's nice that some people are really enjoying it. And we have one more Canadian that's Dregar 75. I just finished The World of Darkness, just five stars. I just finished The World of Darkness shit luck storyline arcs. Scott the Storyteller has written and conducted a masterful story and the players are amazing at developing the story. I'm glad the story line was complete when I started downloading it because I don't think I would be able to wait for new episodes to come out. Can't wait to move on to the next story with this incredible group of players. Thank you. Again, nice compliments for everybody so we appreciate it. Those are all the iTunes reviews we've missed from all over the world and I actually went through 155. I was going to ask that. That's impressive. Yeah. All right. As we continue from our Facebook page, Adam and Danji said, Hi, I just wanted to give thanks for being a solid pillar of entertainment for me. I've been sick for the last four months and I haven't been able to walk, run or talk with any articulation, lift or even do any work. So plus one for the weekly updates for the curious. I got a combination of flu, influenza, flu and then another influenza. He just sort of took turns. If any of you guys are feeling down, my tip is to take two lemons, two limes, cut, squeeze and pour into tea. Adam. That doesn't go into some sort of vodka or something. So thank you for the recipe, Adam, as well as for the compliments. Yeah. Thanks for the compliments. Hope you're feeling better as well. Episode 128, Silver Bell, Adam and Danji said, getting better and better. I commented that he must be talking about the podcast rather than the situation we were in because it's obviously not true. Right. And he said, Actually, I think I am unless there's a situation with a team or you guys, which I hope not. And I assured him that everything was fine with us, the players and not so much with the characters. So thank you for the comments, Adam. Episode 129, blog the most current one, Ari said, darn it, love for work, attend too soon and won't be able to download this episode for listening. Oh, well, I'll have to do it on the way home. So hopefully he got that. Jason said, I can't believe they got my mom to comment on the episode. Michael Klain is a step at that. Somebody needs to smack that bitch blowing down. I'm not surprised that she felt that way about Michael Klain, though. Mike's not here to defend himself. Mr. Merck T said, as for the vampire topic, Requiem, it is theoretically about losing or struggling to keep on humanity. Masquerade is more about monstrosities and monsters of those who claim themselves human as well as those who claim themselves monsters. Tough humanity plays a major role. Yeah, it's pretty much in line with kind of what we thought. Yeah, I think you were destroying vampire in general and saying it was about struggling to keep you humanity. Right. So thank you for the clarification, Mr. Merck T. And Adam and Dongee also posted under episode 129 saying, you guys are a talk show with zombies. Digin and fallen angels. What are you, Jim? Where's the D silent? I don't know. This might win you, sir. Yeah. Mike would know. Great Britain. They say Jim. Or Australia actually. It is the broadcast from Australia and we're talking about Jim. So Elizabeth posted thanking us so much for passing on the information about their site. They're the one that did the Ragnarok New York City. Right. Their blog page is a 24/7 chat room role playing site. The background stuff like role discussions and RP brainstorming, characterization, crafting roles, storyline research questions and ritual spells, et cetera, are some examples of what we handled on the forum, but basically the RP changes happen in the chat rooms. Tons of love from all of us at NYC. Patrick also posed to answer the same question and said that they're mainly an American time zone. Right. And that they do have a few European and night shift Americans, so it ends up basically being a 24/7 chat based play. Cool. And that is actually it for our feedback this week. I want to thank everybody for posting and also... People probably want to start rounding up questions. Actually, I did post that to them. Oh, god. We did get some on the forum. Jim was saying he read them. We'll do it. Some of them are going to be good. Because the story is coming. Yeah, coming to an end. So. I apologize again to everybody around the world. Again, I ask if you do post a iTunes review anywhere but the United States just send me an email at feedback@kyotnapuckets.com. Let me know. Go look for it. And we'd love to include you in the show. So with that, we'll go on to the play. This is chapter 18 of the World of Darkness story chagrin. I'm your storyteller of Scott and with me on my right is... Jim playing Sister Kidio Connor, known with the Shadow Congregation. Bob playing FBI Special Agent Chewpark, member of the Vascular Conspiracy. Tom playing Jay Alton. member of the Ascending Ones and leader of this group. Mike playing Michael Clay, the Academic Adventure, part of the Aegis Kaidauru. Thomas playing Edgard Montes, a voodoo practitioner and a member of the Les Mestares Conspiracy. John playing Daniel Morgan, not man turned mercenary, an ex-member of test course referee. And we're going to stop that right there. And we're going back to the fly back that everybody's at. There's two guys from the bottom of the stairs. They look like brothers who look not huge, but they definitely look like they've been around the lock. Their muscle, one hand across them and then the other hand is down where a weapon would be under a shirt or something. And then the big guy is talking into his headset a little bit and he's kind of looking your way. He's kind of keeping an eye on you but he's more talking to someone who needs to pay attention to use this employee as you walk up. He's up a flight of stairs at the front of this apartment complex. There's maybe like a eight foot flight of stairs, ten feet flight of stairs. There's railings. You can pass these guys by and jump to the top one but if you put it yourself in a very disadvantageous position, if he chose to then attack you. Just kind of giving you a way. Does that make sense? You're walking up kind of on the side of the stairway to approach the stairway from the front. You'd have to get past these two guys. Yeah, I understood that. Okay. All right. So I'm walking up to two individuals at the bottom. Is this the regular stairway? When? The fire escape up? No, it's a regular stairway. When it's again dilapidated, it's got some pieces that are chunks of concrete that are falling out of stairs. But the stairs are going up into the building or are they going up along the side of the building? It's going right on the corner of the building and it's going up into the building. There's a doorway and it goes into the building. Which floor? The first. First. First. Maybe second. You know, if there's a ground floor, top to second. Okay. I'm going to be dropped real quick just because I feel like my description is good. No, no, it's good. I got it. I just want to be settled in which floor. I'm walking up into stairs. I'm just totally ignoring that. Right. Why don't you get 10 feet away, they're like, "That's close enough, brother." Still walking? I'm not upstairs, so it's not close enough. I just keep walking. Right. And then the guys come out and they click click and they're like, "Turn around." Seriously, you want to start this shit here? Hey, we got to do this. You can't enter the building. I got to enter the building. My sister's upstairs and I got to go get her. Listen, you can get your sister. She'll probably be coming out in a few minutes. Just calm down. Go back to your car. We don't want any trouble. Hey! You're going up the stairs so the guy can pop this door. He stops talking his headset. Looks, he will give you a dirty look but doesn't restart. Get these guys to fuck out of my way before I have him killed. You got this? That's when I got out of the window after the group. Yeah? Sure. What kind of guy? Oh, go on. You can get yourself dead. This isn't a bulletproof car. It's a cult fortifier. Can I just intimidate physically? I mean, I don't have to do that. I'm projecting that. I've reached a door where I've got the gun stored just to back up his claim. I use physical threat. Yes. Now, to be fair, these are thugs so I'm not going to be easy on you when it comes to the mindset because they're used to being in these types of situations, right? Yeah. Oh, that's... It's not going to be like minus one because they're tough. That's what they did. I'm going to stop yelling up to the guy at the top of the stairs. Really? I don't want this to come to bloodshed here but I got to talk to somebody other than this meat you got down at the bottom of the stairs. Go ahead and make an intelligence plus... Your persuasion to get this guy to listen will be augmented by our successes here. I imagine. Isn't it a good skill it fits it? Let's go with intelligence plus socialize. We've got three for that but then is this a presence or a negation? Strength. Oh, it's all together different. Seven. Seven. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Or something like that. I thought you did. I'm going to look it up just to make sure. Intelligence plus presence, you said? No, I'm sorry. Intelligence plus socialize. Sure, the baseball is just... Yeah, it's huge. Yeah. In terms of willpower, if I use it here, it goes away in the ocean. Unless you use it all up on the case side, you know, and you guys don't get a good night to sleep. In perspicion? No, no. This is not what you think it is, Tom. This is all completely different. I'm going to use real power to get my breath suggested. Okay. But you've got... Yo, let's understand at once. How many days do you have? I have ten. Okay. Subtract five days. That one, ten again? Okay. And two successes. Two successes. My dice fault was intelligence of two but minus one because I don't have socialize. Socialize. Socialize. Right. Okay, so one of the guys backs up a step, but all he does is he doesn't part waste, he's just, you know, he's so much of an accomplished with it, he backs up a step. One of the guys does not step back up a step and he's, he like touches his friend like, like he wants to tell himself, like, come on, what the fuck? Yeah. Shoot these guys ready. Michael wasn't just pushed on the side, mainly to lend credence to his threat. Right. But he hasn't given a threat yet. I thought you were, you're walking up and trying to... It may have had an effect on them too, but I don't think I wasn't looking for the scene to go. The very large man at the top of the stairs, nose ring, tats up his neck, bald head, scars across his head as well, just arms like fucking two by fours, several of them. Just a big guy and he's like, he looks at you specifically Jay and says, subject, you shouldn't be here now, bro. My sister's here. Where am I going to be? He says, I suggest you look for her somewhere else. I know she's here at fifth floor. I need to get to her. If you got some of the shit going on here, I don't give a fuck. Let me get my sister and get out of here. You can do whatever the fuck you guys think you have to do here. I think I don't recognize this guy and he definitely recognized me. That's what we need. I'm just trying to. He's like, Jay, the Reverend doesn't want to be bothered. Somebody's bothering my sister. And when he says, Reverend, it flashes back that- On the flashback, we're going to flash back. Yes, this is a double flashback. Try that sound. Go back. I think it's- At that point you remember, oh. This is inception. We're like- We're in for the tissue level. Thank you. Thank you, my God. Why? If you die in your flashback, do you die in real life? Yes. It is inception. The jagged crescent. That's another- Yeah. It's a computer. They're the drug dealers. And the Reverend is the leader of the jagged crescent, which is always had very- In Cleveland. In Cleveland. And always had very fractious relationships with the other types. So at some point you come into contact with, you remember, the Reverend seeing him at some function, at the church. He's always at the church, getting out his largesse. Is she going to call it Reverend, though? If it's the Reverend. The jagged crescent, the mosque, wow. He's not Muslim. Oh, the Reverend's not Muslim. Oh, okay. Sorry. That's right. No, that was a great question. That's a great question. And definitely Catholicism for this group, not black Muslims, like Jake, right? So long story short, you've heard of the name of the Reverend before. You have absolutely met him, just again, he always makes. He's just in the community, and he's always giving shit away, and he's always- He has this Capone-like ability on the near east side to have people protect him, even though he's obviously undermining the greater part of the society. Is this their turf? Oh, yeah. This is the jagged- Well, you don't really know their turf, but now that he says it, when you look around, it all makes sense. This one, they clear calling you a couple of months back and complaining that you're never around. You know what's happening in the streets now, and it's getting worse. You start to remember that conversation with her, and it all starts kind of making up like they're obviously pushing out their boundaries, and they're taking some territory, and then they've got something going on at this point. He's like, "The Reverend doesn't want to be disturbed, you need to find someplace else to-" All right, I got shit. I got a deal for you. I said I meant back to their car. Just me. You know I can be trusted. All I want to do is reassure my sister that she's going to be alright, that you guys are going to treat her okay. Maybe get her out of her if I can't, I don't know. But I'm not going to interrupt anything, just let me get to my sister. She's freaking out. You're going to need to make a role, a contested role, and you're going to need a major and a major success. So you are trying to be actually somewhat civil to him. Well he's probably the same a lot. So you know what I'm saying? I'm trying to find a skill. So I think persuasion is probably a good skill to use here, and I think you would be using manipulation, because you're using words to try to convince him of what you want him to do. So go ahead and make a role, and this is, in many gaming sense, this is a maybe to break a role. Alright well so obviously I'm spending a little power, but I also have a status of two, which we've ended up signing on. Wow. Does that matter? You can buy an insurance generation, I have a status of two, and mine, two, and so. You can buy it after two, because you do more things. Yeah, I only started with one, I built up after our last year. In this situation, which I'll understand more later, unfortunately not, I'd love to give you extra dice, but it's just not going to happen, it doesn't apply, it just doesn't. But I guess in a sense that he is a ranking member of this organization, that's going to happen. It just, again, it'll all make sense in a bit. Alright, six dice. Did you risk willpower? I did. He's not this, not this thing, only wants to choose the talker, right? Yeah. Right. One success. All success. He's like, "J, I'm sorry, go for it." That isn't an option. Boy, basically, looks at his two men. We can hear this one. Oh yeah. So, why make a digital brawl? What's the initiative? The initiative would be for everybody, and that would be your one dice, and then it's a modifier. Yeah, your initiative modifier, which is your, I think, their name would be... Most composure. Really? Huh? School. Yeah, that's a ten. That's a ten. That's a ten. That's a ten. One one. Yeah, I don't see it. I love it, Sam. Sister Katie, you get back to the... To the safe house. To the safe house. No, I see it. The whole one is there. Hello? It's a good one. It's like... No, no. Billy isn't even there. Are we supposed to? Yes. I'll probably take it there. Well, Billy isn't there. What's going to end up being tomorrow night most likely because you probably are going to end up postponing because of what's going on right now? Okay, so round table two. Eleven. You were a one dice and then you had the modifier, right? Yes. One for your sister. Sixteen. You'd been there day early. Yeah, everything would have been fine. Six. Total six? Sorry. I'm out of the car. Well, I'm out of the car getting out. I'm out of the car getting out. I'm out of the car getting out. All right, Edgar. Wait for me. Daniel's got a fifteen. Daniel. Which I'm going to use to grade five. I really didn't want this new resort to a gunfight in the middle of the city, but still I'm trying to get a gunfight. That's all I'm carrying. Jay, fittingly. You go first. Do you hear him say Jay, he goes up the way you knew? If you have your answer, you can see him like he's serious as it's over. And so you know when he's going to give his answer, it's probably going to be to tell these two men that are standing in front of you right now to do something. So you are quick off the drop. Yeah, one of them is holding a gun. Well, one of them are holding a gun. You were standing side by side next to Daniel. One of them took a step back to like the first step and had a gun out. And the other one had a gun. He was had his hand on it and he pulled it out but still had it kind of down by his waist. So both of them had guns out. And as you approach it, they're like, "Hey, stop. Stop." You know, then they pulled their gun out until you can't really close them. So maybe you're five feet away at that. Which means if you move away closer, actually five beams within two yards, your defense actually applies to guns because you can smack their hands and stuff. Yeah, actually the closest guy I'm trying to disarm. They're both equally close to you. Well, actually no. They want to one step back. I apologize. So there is one closer. Yeah, I'm disarmed. They're hands. Oh. I don't have a gun out and I don't intend to pull a gun out with someone who's on the same side as me supposedly. I don't know if this guy's on our side. Me, they're like, "Let it." No, I don't have the mirror to disarm. But I grapple with him. I tend to grab his arm. I don't know what I'm doing. Sure. Absolutely. Rural strength plus roll. Okay. And will you know how many does he have? Four. Okay. Minus two because of his defense. And you will grab the gun and grab his arm if you make it successful with it. Okay. What's successful? One success. Okay. So you grab his right wrist, pinning it against his body. And then you kind of wrap your hand around his neck and you spin him towards the other gun then so that he's between you and the gentleman on the first step who backed up slightly ahead. He's got out and was all nervous because Daniel walked up and growled. Mm-hmm. He's got a problem in it. Is that something that we would do? Yeah. Okay. I mum will drop the gun before this gets too badly. Right. Daniel, you're actually next. You did what? I grabbed his gun. Grab his gun, pin it to the side, grab it in the headlight and spun him towards the man that had the gun on the human shoe. Yeah. You should drive him like that. No, I'm going to grab the other guy. Oh. Do you have a quick drive? That's actually about it. I do. No. No. You can see things coming in. Remember, you're a giant. You're a big guy. You're a big guy. So, you're a weapon. Come on, fours. He's 17 tall. Yeah. He's huge. So you go up and you basically try to tackle him. Are you trying to get him down? What are you trying to do? Explain your grasp. Is there anyone else around us that would just want to... There's people who want us free. Yeah. I mean, with their group. There's a guy coming out. We saw them coming out of the car towards the place. Yeah. Were there any waiting in the car? Oh, yeah. There's still at least one guy in each car that you've seen. There's a guy that's out of the alley waiting. How many cars are there? Well, there's a car all down the street. It's like a fucking party in the middle of the night. They came with that group. Not necessarily. I'm just saying there's lots. It's hard to tell. Who's who? There's just a bunch of people partying and people in the street drinking. Who's a gang member? Who's just a hood? Who's not drinking and talking in the headset? Right. The main one is the guy in the stairway. The two thugs. And then the car they came out of. There's at least one more individual in each of those cars. And then there's someone blocking an alleyway that... Mantis is down. Mantis is down. And I've been in the car blocking the alley where Mantis is. Did I fall in the boxes? No. There's an alley that you're blocking that right around the corner. To check with those. Get a mic. Take out your butter knife and... Here's a huge apartment, Bill. Yeah, I don't know. I understand. Here's the stairs. Going down. Not to do. Yeah. One thug is here. One thug is here. This is... This is Jay. This is Daniel. This is thug number one. This is thug number one. This is thug number two. This is thug on top of the stairway. Here's an alleyway. Here's an alleyway. An alleyway keeps on going. It keeps on going. Kind of building. There's other buildings here. So we're on the right side part? Yeah. So here was where the phone was found. This is Pete. Here's the car. You're an Arkansas Mantis. Right here. So this is in the driver's seat. Is Michael? No. Michael, I was in the back seat. But I'm still not known. Okay. Michael's in the back seat. In the front seat. And he was chewed. Yeah. He was the only person left. And then Daniel. There's a door right here. It's our Edgard. Here's another guy here. This is a big street. Okay. There's a car here. And a car here. Each one. Thug Thug. There's a street going down this way. And as well. So that's a really horrible thing. But this is the apartment building. That's in question. This is the alleyway. Well. I think it's kind of enough sense. To at least get back here. Okay. For anyone that wants to read the novel too. No. You could do that. The art of the industry. Yeah. I'm going to follow the boss as an example. Except. No, I can't. Quick draw and grab the cannon. No. Okay. Well, I'll just grab him for now. Okay. How will you grab one? You can tap a little bit. I want to put it under his head next turn. So. In a position where he's got his hands down and can't pull out his weapon. Okay. Okay. He's got his weapon out. You guys. Yeah. I thought he grabbed the one with the weapon. No. They both had weapons out. One was pointing at you guys. Which is the nervous guy who you've got to deal with. And the other one was not. It's a really horrible map. I don't know who the fuck I drew with that bat. He's on the first step. Or he was like halfway. He was slowly back in here. He's not going to break his fingers. Not this turn. I mean you could punch him. Where he's grappling. He was nervously walking backwards towards the first step because he's scared he should. I don't want to talk too much about this. I'm just going to grab one. He's trying to tackle him or something. He'll fall backwards out of the stairs and he won't be able to aim. This is the only thing that I'm going to do. Fine. I'll tackle him. He'll still be peaceful. Go. Frankly. We're all on. I thought you'd be a bro. I didn't. Okay. That minus his defense which is two dice. And I'm using another willpower here. Okay. Try to mention that before I do that. Okay. That's right. That's right. I think he would have done that. I want to solve three dice every time. Yeah. One. One success. Which is all you need. You tackle him. He lands hard on the stairs. Ooh. His gun is still out but he's kind of got your hand on it so he has to break free in order to use it. So you got one hand on there. The other hand you got kind of like pinning his neck up against a stair and he's probably going to try to kick you off or do something to break the rifle. Okay. That was Jayden Daniel. That takes us to Jay. His action has to be to try to break free because he wants to get out of the rifle. So what he does is he rolls strength plus brawl just like you did on your roll. But instead of minusing your defense, he minuses your strength because he's trying to break free and you're trying to hold him. Which is probably the same as your defense or maybe your defense is slightly higher. Sorry. Okay. Strength plus brawl. He does not break free. That means Jay that next turn you can actually do a maneuver on him since he was unable to break free. What's that like? You can make a roll to render an opponent prone, damage him, immobilize him, draw a weapon, attack with a weapon that's already drawn, turn a drawn weapon, gun, disarm opponent, use opponent as protection from raised attack because you kind of did why he said he pulled it in the way but it wouldn't have been full. Right. Turn it means like gain control of this weapon. Yeah. Like if he's got a knife, you turn the knife so that you actually can use it as a weapon in the following turn. Okay. So he tried to break free. He was unable. So he's struggling with you. Nothing's happening. Of any kind of points for him, for you it's great because he didn't break free. Right. Then the next person to go is actually his end gun because you're tied and you go first in time. So you're leaning against the door. The guy at the end of the alleyway is on the main street at the end of the alleyway. And you hear him talking into an earpiece, his hands reaching towards the gun at his side. What do you do? How far away do you do? He's approximately 30 feet away. 33 feet. So I close the melee range. Yes. Dash across the place. Yes. Dash of the alley. You're going to have to make it a dexterity plus athletics roll as the alley is strewn with garbage and not made for dashing. Ali. Any surprises that I did? He looked drunk. Can I still draw my head? He wasn't able to. He wasn't fooled at all. Can I still draw my knife as a regular action? This turn. A knife draw, I think, unless you have a fast draw, I think it takes a full turn. Could do. So I move and then draw, but I can't move drawing. You're right. Hand cast. Fast draw. Well, I'm still going to draw it and close the melee range. Give me an athletics plus dexterity, please. Athletics plus dexterity is six dice. Alleyway is dark and strewn, so minus two. Oh, alleyway is dark. Someone drinks. Come under the chair. I see a success. It's a nine. All right. So you slide, slip on various fluids that you'd rather not think of. And you get the end of the alleyway with knife and hand. Okay. That takes us to the stock that you have tackled. Daniel, he's doing the same thing. What's your strength? He's trying to break free. Let's strike this three. Wow. Pretty impressive. Oh, what he rolls, a nine on the one dice he had to roll. So he breaks free, turns the gun towards you, but can't fire it because he spent his turn, his instant action breaking free this turn. So he kind of like scrambles up the stairs a bit. So he's now above you and he burns the gun to bear down, pointing right your head and can't do anything, luckily, saved by the three seconds of turn limit. That takes us to shoot. Which one is our card here? That's in front of the stairway to the stairway where, yeah, you're off on the side in that card facing the alley. So the alley coming through the back of the house, the back of the apartment building there. Well, we're back here. Yeah. You pull past the front door to the alleyway and get out of the car from that mistaken. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. That's true. Yes. True with scoping out of this. Okay. These slugs are at the base of the stairs here. Yes. So I have visual from my current location. Yes. You have visual. They are somewhat protected by the stairwell and the iron brought banister on the stairwell, which is shoddy shape, but they have some protection from that. All right. Just so you know. So Jay is engaged with one guy. Yes. Jay standing up. Right. Right. And you lost sight of Daniel as he plowed into somebody and then they hit the stairs and now you can't see them. But didn't he stand back up and grab the gun and point his head? The guy kicked Daniel off him and kind of like crammed, crawled back a few steps and then brought the gun to bear, but he's still lying on his back on the stairway, so he's really hard to see for you. And the other guy. And the top of the stairs hasn't done anything yet. He has taken his turn. The guy with the piece. The big, the big dude. Oh. Okay. All right. I'm going to throw the iPhone to Michael. See what he can figure out. It's short of flex. Okay. And toss it to the back seat and. And I'm going to get my shotgun, which is in the car and I'm going to open the door. Which way is the car facing? Is it this way? You're facing the other direction. You're facing towards, yeah, that direction. You came from, you know, on a paper, you came from Jim and you're moving towards Mike. If that makes sense. So Mike's in the back. I'm going to pass it. You see? I just figured you slid over to the driver's side because it's easier to see out of with the camera. Because Jay was driving. Jay got out. So I figured you slid over your shotgun still in the passenger seat. You reach over, you grab it off the floor of the passenger side, open the door and step out. You know, present. Cock that baby in. Sure. Okay. Can't shoot the. That's fine. In three seconds. That's good. Yeah. I can't aim it yet, right? No, I don't think this is the aim turn. I think you had to grab it. You had to open the door. You threw a phone. You haven't moved. But I think that's more than nothing. Three seconds. Four the aim, but I have a laser side on it. Oh, I'll just say that you, yeah, I mean, sure, you brought it to bear. How about that? And so it's facing the direction of those guys. Right. I can't target it with the laser. Bear it out. Okay. Yeah. I think that's true. I mean, I, I'd like to play it. Oh, I don't mind. Okay. Two excellent turn. Excellent turn. That takes us to. Fuck. The laser side on the shotgun. At the end of the hour, you get close to him. You got your knife. You're like, you got it raised. You're ready to get him. He brings his gun around. It points at you. It pulls the trigger. My defense is forward. Okay. That counts in a close encounter, right? Yes. It's the reason I close to me in a ring. I don't take hits well. I don't plan to be hit. Just so you know, he brings the gun to bear you, luckily you can smack at his, his hand with your off hand as he brings the gun train in the middle of your chest and fighters. But his firearms plus dexterity is a total of five plus the gun itself, which brings him to two, seven, because it's a light revolver minus four, minus four is three. Now, one thing you can do is you can drop prom, which per free action, which would make it give you more defense, or you can just have him roll with his three dice and hope for the best. You can't fight prom. I can't fight prom. You can also dodge. What's dodging into him? Spend a willpower. Remember what figures I remember that. If you're dodging, you're dodging, you can't draw a weapon, you drew a weapon. I think you have to just take a move action if you have a state free, yeah, instant action. You can double your defense. Yeah. Holy shit. For you? Shit. That's fucking impressive. I think all you can do is move and dodge, though, and you drew a weapon out. Yeah. So in the future, like if you ever have a farmstead, people have guns and stuff, you might want to know that. That's great. Nice. So he's down his three dice. Anytime. At guard, you're able to get your hand up, hit his hand, the shot on your shoulder, and you hear "fuck" from down the alleyway where the guys were, yeah, doing their thing. They're around the corner, but they hear an echoing boom of this handgun. I thought it hit the people. Go off. No, you just hear a "fuck" in the shot goes ringing off into the night. And obviously everyone to where now, the gun shot has been fired. That takes us to Michael Klythe. All right. You're in the backseat. The phone will strongly you. You can catch it, or you just let it land on the backseat. I don't know what I'm going to do, but it's- Right the second, right? The other one. Other than call 911. I guess I'm there. I'm looking at back door. Yeah. I'm opening the back door and I'm getting out. Although I can't decide which one Montez, or back up the- What do you mean where you are? You can't see Montez's fight going on, so you're- Yeah, but I know that he's alone, so. So you open the door, step out of the car. You can either do an instant action, you can either do a move action or an instant action. I'm in the move and I will back up Montez. So you're dashing down the alleyway that Jay and Edgar have moved down for a later year. He's going to go the back way to back up? Yes. Montez? Okay. So he's going out of this way? Yeah. He's going- Yep. He's going out of that alley. Okay. That takes us to the guy at the top of the stairs. He opens the door, steps through the door, and closes the door behind him. He doesn't even deal with us. Let's go with the 911 before Jay. Go. Okay. We have him drop the gun. All right. In order to do that, you can do an overpowering maneuver. Roll the attacker's strength plus roll minus the opponent's strength. Okay. He's got two strengths, so it takes you on two guys. You can smack his hand hard enough against the side of his body to take and drop the gun. You don't want to grab it again? I already hold my gun. How are you going? I'm going to do with it. All right. You can turn it on. I don't want to do it by this. Okay. Just pull these guys. What'd you do? Clear it like SWAT. We are not SWAT. Uh, no. Okay. You do not lose your grasp, though. He cannot do shit this term. You still have a move action if you wanted to disengage from the grapple after your attack fail. You certainly could do that because it's a stain. I wouldn't either. I wouldn't either. Okay. That's Jay then. That takes us to Daniel. Daniel, you've got a gun pointing at your head. I scream up the stairs. You're out of your man to fucking stand down or on the same goddamn side, people are going to get hurt. Mm. Go. All right. So I'm here. He's halfway up the stairs by crawling up the stairs on backwards and he's got two hands at his hands are kind of shaking. He seems to be a little bit frightened. Maybe he's a... He hasn't got... Was this the working his step back? Actually. Yes. This is the working his step back. Okay. You took him down. He broke free. He kicked you off. Does he look like in a position where I could push him over the edge with physical threat? Push him over the edge with a physical threat rather than grabbing him. You can try to intimidate him. What do you mean? Push him over the edge. What do you mean? Push him over the edge. What do you mean? Push him over the edge. Push him over the edge. Push him over the edge to surrender. Put his gun down. I mean, I don't know if that would work 20 years ago. I don't want to hit you face. I would just pull the trigger. This is my assist. I don't have about it. So... You can re-engage him to grapple, right? Yeah, I can. I was just... That might be the best. I just distanced myself from bloodshed here. Well, here's your option. Here's your option. You can grab him by the leg and pull him back down towards you and grab him again. Or you can climb up on top of him and grab him again before he fires. You could punch him. You could run him. I was inside the house. There was an agent. I stepped on his hand when he had the gun. Yeah, in my own position to do that here. Nope. Only because you'd have to stand out because you're prone. I'm prone? Yeah. Oh. You tackled him. Yeah, sorry. I'm being asked. You're taking him down. Yeah, me. Pulling his leg. Pull him down again. I'm going to beat him up until I have a chance. Yes. You're going to basically grab him again. Pull him down towards you and grab him. Okay. Go ahead. I'm going to just shut him back. Strength plus the wrong. Strength? No. I'm going to hold him. If you've got to hold him here. He can not... He still gets his defense. This is going to be two dice. Do your best. Well, hold on. What's his defense? Three. No. Defense is two. Maybe two dice. Good for my turn. Yeah. I don't want to keep spinning, though, so I'm just going to go with two dice. I'm going to run out of it well. This is really good. I'm going to stab him on the next job. Nothing. 44. I'm going to shot my head. Maybe you grab his leg and pull him down towards you. He again kicks his leg and gets free. And he just says, "What the fuck?" Is he's... He just looks like he's a total rookie and totally paranoid in that kind of... Is there time for physical threat or is that like an instant action? You tried to grapple. A physical threat would be a... Yeah. You still have a movement action so you could stand up if you wanted to or you could roll behind Jay and the prone man. I mean, not prone to the immobilized, or yeah, kind of like, grab his grab. You said I can't use a physical threat because it's an instant action. It's an instant action. And you took an instant action by trying to... I'm going to stand up and look menacing at all. You're going to stand up and not look menacing at all? Well, only because I can't start. Go ahead. Okay. You're seven feet tall. Yeah. You just stand up and meet the... Not one menacing. I'm going to get the roll already. Follow me. Follow me. Sorry. Jay? You're a gentleman. You know, a film that you had two guys to... He had two guys to break free from you. He had a naproll success. He still had an armpit on his side. He's just cursing at you and saying, "Get the fuck out of here. You're not wide here. You're not welcome. This isn't your territory. Get the fuck away and kind of stuff like that." "Don't want to be here. Give me my sister. I'll leave her now." He tries to break free to snap struggles, pancake free. And he says... Get a yell at your stomach. The way you've got them, immobilized. And he says to the guy who is prone, seemingly, on the ground, he tells him to shoot what the fuck you're waiting for. Shoot. And that's the end of his turn. The other thugged, who has it on out, shoots. He stands up for his first move, and again, his hands are shaking. He looks like he's absolutely terrified, like he's never been in this kind of situation before. And he turns around and runs up the stairs and grabs the door dive and is trying to open the door. And that's his turn. He doesn't... He doesn't have an hook to deal with this point. So he panks and runs up the stairs. Your intimidation from before having that first intimidation, Adam Ham is having a consequence for him. He's not able to pull the trigger right now. I'd go. All right. I'm going to attempt this arm, because I have that merit and I don't have to grapple with it. And actually, you went before your guy spun away and ran into the door. The cycle changes, I think, but yeah, it shouldn't change much. All right, dexterity plus weapons plus a weapons dice modifier is nine dice. Whoa. Yeah, I'm pretty fuckin' good with knives. Yeah. Hey, chance to shine. They're not zombies or nothing. All right. This is how this arm works. I roll a small dice, oh wait, can I risk willpower on an attack? Sure. So three more dice? Mm-hmm. You might need it later. Oh, he's spinning. He's running that risky. Okay. What's the difference? You got a little response and you lose all of that if you don't see. If you risk once a scene, if you lose all your willpower, yeah, but you just need one success, right? Right. Success or? You could say-- It's like you're sniping. Why would you not? Because he's kind of minus 700,000 because it's dark. Yeah. I don't like that. I don't like six people of this mission at guard. Like when you risk willpower, there's four things that are different. One, you can only do it once and if you fail, you'll lose them all. Right. Then you can do three things with it. You can add three dice, you can make an exceptional success, three successes instead of five. Doesn't help at all. Four, doesn't make nine against yourself. Yes, nine against is exactly what it is. You can call. I knew one thing about this game. Yes. Next thing we've done. The one thing I happen to need, right? That's second. So let's-- That's the difference. Thank you. Go for nine against. Okay. So you've removed the three dice. Go for the nine against. Nine dice. Nine dice. He subtract his defense. Now, he hasn't gone yet. He sees a knife coming at hand. He dodges. Right. So he doubles his defense. His defense was two, so it's four. Four. All right. Get some success, man. All right. Alright. This arm says you compare the amount of successes that you get on the dice versus his dexterity. Okay. A success means I've successfully disarmed him and depending on how many successes are, I got that. Wait, wait. That's not when he yards away. It's versus dexterity. Versus his dexterity. You just bought it. It's not a dodge. Right? He's not hurting him. Yeah. He still gets a dodge and attack. But-- But it's a contested role between his dexterity-- No, he just has to beat-- it's not contested. He just has to beat-- you just have to beat his dexterity, correct? That's how I heard it. It's not a contested role. Ah, no. I just got to beat his dexterity. Okay. Go. Five dice. How much are your dice points? Five with the minus four. Five. So you don't want those three extra dice instead of nine again? Yeah, dude. I thought you might. No. I got three here. You got your minuses. Two. Nine. Nine. Oh, yeah. Jesus Christ. What is this? Just two successes. Three successes. I don't know. His dexterity was two. So you really needed that last ten again and the role. So-- Three successes. One success over his dexterity. It means I succeeded. Right? And how far away it's with-- Three yards, nine-- Number one success. Three. Oh, wow. That's like ten feet away? Yeah. I'll get you in the direction. Well, we're going to say that it goes into the street. Yeah. I'm going to make more sense. It's not like I'm going to hook my knife into the pistol grip and pull it back. It's just-- Fuck it. Yeah. Let's try to figure out if you'd like this arm. Sure. So I'm a bit farther than you could actually throw. Mm-hmm. I could. If I roll really well. But, shoot. I'm just going to run up to the stairs here. What's the distance from our car? It was 30 feet down the alleyway. Half the alleyway. It's about the same distance. So 30 feet. So I could make it there? Yeah. You could make it to the side of the stairway or you could make it to the edge of the stairway and like jump up on the railing and try to get that up that way. There's someone sitting anywhere right now trying to get in and getting bang and thug is there. Where is Edgar? Edgard is in the alley, right? He ran and closed that guy. Yeah. And not just going away. Mm. Well done. That was well done. I don't know. I'm assuming Mike is here or is he farther down the alley? Mike is probably about a third away into the alley. I have a fleet of foot, so. And I'm not armed yet. But you dig it up from all I'm thinking. I'm afraid I'm a pro. So if he runs it like a third away. Next turn you're going to be kicking ass and taking names. Okay. Jay is wrestling. At the bottom of the stairway, standing up. He's actually wrestling him. He's got him in a headlock with his arm pinned to his face. God. Trying to get him to drop his weapon. The thug who's opening the door does he have his gun out. He has his gun out, but he's trying to use a door and a gun at the same. He looks like he's in the state of pain. All right. And you see that dangle is stood up and is at the bottom of the stairway as well. Does it look like Jay has things under control down there? And real quick appraisal. Yes. Looks like he has things under control. All right. I'm going to focus my shotgun on the guy who is opening the door. Try and open the door. I'm going to turn my laser off so it's not. Right. So you can kind of look it up because it's about eight feet up or so. I think you can aim. You can move it in. I'm pretty sure. Okay. I'm going to aim that face or nap. Yeah, that sounds right. Okay. So you've probably got the bear on him. Yeah. That's fine. That's two and eleven. That takes us to end guard. Your thug looks back to where his gun disappears somewhere into the street. Looks at you. Looks at your knife. And it starts taking off running down the street. All right. Feels good. See when it's not supernatural. You can rip your soul out and eat your blood. That's not so bad. And they don't figure out that I'm fucking re-clinging and he couldn't have just grappled me and I'm going to die. He has no idea. He just saw some ninja kung fu shit out of you, not his weapon away. What do you choose to do? Into the cars. He just aimed. Cuz there are guys in the cars. There are guys in the cars. Yep. But no one's asked about that recently. Go ahead. Michael, are you going to try and keep running to back up Mondays? Okay. So you run down the one side of the alleyway to get to the junction where he's then a left hand turn to get to him. Right. Now that alleyway again, it's kind of a dirty, disgusting alleyway. It's still worse than the Egyptian archaeological division. Oh, it's not that worse than that. So make it the athletes plus dexterity. We're all staying on your feet. Athletic. Oh. And that's just slipping some kind of smooth romantic. There are four, four, four legs. There's the athletics plus what? The dexterity. All right. I have five dice. Nice. 20 minuses. Darkness to minus one. Actually, we're going to close from the light then, uh, add guard voice. Just minus one for the darkness. Right. Minus for darkness. Wow. Two. Three successes. I have four dice. Two. I have three successes. I have three successes. All right. I'll never break the five. Yeah. Basically, there's people cowering because you'd have heard the gun shot go off yourself. So the two whores and the two johns are like crouching behind trash bags and turned over trash cans. So you get that corner, you go to the left just in time to see footballs. Leaving the alleyway, the thog, leaving, add guard as he's like in a stance of attack. So you start high tailing it down. That's because you do a double movement. Right. So you then go quickly down that alleyway and you're about halfway down that alleyway when you're double movement. That's it. Okay. Depends us back to the top, which is Jim. All right. I'm telling this guy. Your buddy left. Leave yourself. Get out of here. You don't want to die for this week. Yeah. Shit. He doesn't kick his ass out of the gun. Okay. Do you want to try to intimidate him into compliance or do you want to try to get him to drop his weapon into compliance? I think, uh... Like, are your words just going along with your attack or are you actually trying to psychologically say get the fuck out of here and that's your only real action for the turn? Well, I'm not letting him go until he drops the gun. Obviously. A choice. You could try to intimidate him or you could try to overpower him. Intimidation again is would be the skill for you. Get the fuck out of here. It's different every time, but it would be intimidating and you would definitely be using words, I would say, probably manipulation, plus intimidation. So if you need more dice than the two you get to... Well, it gives me three. Well, that's better. Also, well. Okay. I'm trying to resolve this piece. Um... No, none of us have shot yet. He's a little tougher than the other guys, so it gives me... Actually... The words have shot fired. Well, they shot you. We didn't shoot at that. I did the equivalent of food. At this point, when Daniel tried to intimidate before, these guys were hard and mid-tough, and, you know, they were mind-slide guys. Yeah, they just got their ass kicked. They got their ass kicked. They got their ass kicked. They're running away. He's in a headlock and can't get his gun out. His friend just wet himself and ran at the stairs. So I'm going to say that for him, there's no mind zero. He sees the tide turning. He's got a lot of people to look at here. Two coming out with a shotgun. Three successes. He's like, "All right, man. All right. I'm dropping a gun. Just, I want to get the fuck out of here." It's off. I'm spinning him towards the door on the street. If he drops the gun, I just shove him out in the direction. He drops the gun, and you spin him out in what direction? The street. The street. Towards the car is actually... Yeah. He's in. And actually, you can make a perception role at this point, which is free. You're looking at direction now. Right. Reception. And I have one success. Okay. All you need. In the first car, the guy who was in the passenger seat before his slit over the driver's seat, and the car starts up. And in the second car, the guy who was in a back seat actually moved forward towards the side closest to you now. He was in the back seat farther away across the street, but now he moves in closer. And the wind was going down, and he had a gun, and he sees the guy stumble into the street, and he see him kind of hold it and hesitate like, and kind of just hold his gun. He doesn't actually fight it. Right. I pointed out to you, I just opened up my two guys in the street watching. Okay. And I start walking up the stairs. Okay. Okay. That thing is Daniel. I work with the stairs as well. I can't. I don't know if I could draw anything. But the guy can't see me from where I was looking, right? He's fumbling at the back. I stick my fingers into his back and say, "Drop the fucking gun." The gun gets trapped immediately. Get the hell out of here. I'm going to say you grab him, spin him around, and kind of throw him down the steps in the right. Not throw him, but like guide him forcefully down the steps. Okay. And go ahead and make a... Intimidation. I'm going to go with just a brawl in this. He's like gravity kind of manually. I'm just going to make a strength plus brawl right in his neck. Oh, god. No, I'm going to go with two guys and the whole thing is like... There's only one door at the top of the stairs, sometimes. Yeah. My taste. Oh. Got you. What's going on? He's spinning him around and kind of pushing towards the stairs. He stops for a second. So you push it until they work. Then he looks at you and Jay both up at the stairs and looks down at these two and starts running. So he'd be forcing down the stairs, but he ran. As long as he's rational. Yes. So Jay, the thug that you had. Push him down the car. Yeah. He stumbled towards the car. He's like, "Let's get the fuck out of here, man." The door opens and he slides in and the car feels off or starts peeling off. Anyways, the one that Daniel had runs down to the second vehicle. It's like, "Perfect, shoot away!" And he goes running to the car and then so far as he got. It's coming out of me. I want to see him run down the street after the other car. It's coming out of me! These guys are scattering quick. That takes us on initiative for the moment because everyone is dispersing in this corner of drug land is neutralized for a brief moment. And people aren't walking away. People who are drinking beer, they're like, "What the fuck?" They've heard a gun shot. They're moving out. This scary is clearing out. They're losing us this time. How long will it take for the police to get to this neighborhood? I forget. Five hours? I'd say about two or three days. Okay. You're gonna have to be great. No. Fine things should get to the door. What's your skill? I'm gonna take ten. I don't fuck around. No, you don't. I just open doors. This block is... This block is flash fashion. It's really Jay's, but you have a great co-starring action. You subtract two guys for the lock difficulty. Oh, you don't have any lock picks set out either, right? So, what's the minus there? Well, I've been on the wrong side a lot. I have it. I always have it. Oh, you always have it. And that's plus four. Well, it's speed of essence. It's all masking. So, I'm just saying, it takes a while to get here and on the way here. You can take it out. I have to scare this lock into opening. Plus one for my... Okay. Mine is too forgetful. Here you go. Mine is too forgetful. Who does that lie? Three successes always. Okay, again. The lock is probably broken then. Yes. And the lock is open. The door is then kicked open. I'm sure by Jay. Door's open. Okay. You. Go ahead. I don't know. I thought I was with this guy and he's in the back alley. No, I'm sorry. We came out of initiative. I came out of initiative. Oh, everyone is kind of the fired thug. Meaning the lowlings said it's not fucking worth it. It's not worth dying over. The only one who looked like he cared disappeared into the apartment building which was the large guy who knew you who you don't recall. So, you kick it open. It is exactly what I've been saying it is. It is a rundown apartment complex. Some of the doors have no doors on them. If you open them you might have like a curtain or a bed sheet hanging down over it. You do see a smashed outside where it says stairwell. You make your way up thinking quickly to it. All of you. I've gone up to the fifth floor. Right. You work your way up the stairway. You don't see anything happening there. Well, there is stuff happening there. There is beggars sleeping on beggar and stairwells and stuff like that. Even someone, a prostitute with someone as well. You work your way up to the fifth floor. So, about where you think it was which was the northeast corner. So, that would be the far corner from where you parked on the street and back toward the alley. Right. I'll roughly that area. So, you make your way there and as you work, you make your way down the hallway. You hear your ears just be free. Thanks for listening to Lights of the Night at Actual Play Podcast. Because he's going to minus 700,000 because it's dark. I knew for one thing about this game. I stick my fingers into his back and say drop the fucking gun. The gun gets trapped immediately. Get the hell out of here.
