This world of darkness storyline shitlock was written and run by our storyteller Scott. This will be our last chapter of this particular story and with us here tonight from my right is Tom playing a character J. Greg playing the character of Lucius Miles. Michael Clay by playing Special Agent Chew Park. So when the time comes we have a command key to go. What time is it? 130 and you have to set it up for four. It's two times in a year across town. Got some things to tie up and you'll meet her there for her. If she brings the attack say hey we had to try it. I called Tammy something. Okay. She says I'd love her. Do you have any information for me? I think I might have some. Great. Lay down me. Oh no no no no no. It's not that easy. Oh I thought you were. I'm saving this information for when we meet in person. I bet you are. But I don't think we should meet in person unless we give you the information first. Well I guess we could always keep on trying to kill each other if you'd like. Or we could make noise and we'd eat at some cozy restaurant somewhere. Exchange information and sign a pack to say that we're both going to leave each other alone going into the future. I'll be sad. That sounds good to me but the only reason why we're here is just to figure out what happened to Tess for his Valkyrie. Oh I understand why. And our reading is just to discuss terms of us getting along and coexisting in the same world together as disgusting as that sounds. Alright I'm sure I could hear it in your voice. I guess we should clarify that as am I shutting down the system like as it goes into shut down or am I putting our identities or cars or anything into it so that it will be recognized and therefore we'll have authority or way over my pay grade. You would think as a computer expert with the knowledge you have that your back door allows you into the system and you can start doing things but you're probably going to be attacked again if you once you start doing things. Whether you have time to do one, two, three, shut down the entire system. Who knows. But your gut tells you that even though you have a back door which allows you to get right into the system you'll probably have a certain amount of time. That's five seconds or 30 seconds or two minutes to start going through. I'm sorry you're right. We should probably go out the total shutdown. What about opening doors? Total shutdown. I have phone and mag lights, little forensics kit like plastic bags and rubber gloves and sure, I'll buy that. A couple of armor, B-suit, smoker. Okay. Hopefully it doesn't, but it doesn't look like it, but you know, but I'm used to being the archaeology all around the world and some of the kind of rough and tumble place I've had to be. I've got it hanging out. The iPhone and the homeland security badge, and I'm sure some things will be named later as needed. Right. So you cannot have your B-suit as you are right now with a work bag. Okay. A tool bag, just so you know. And no one else mentioned a B-suit. So none of you are carrying no suits. And you start with the hack as soon as the hack's gone we move. We just keep playing ball until the fence is cut and the boss tells us to go to the fence line where they apparently did what we need. At four o'clock on the nose, the guards come in this change of shift and there's a momentary lapse in the surveillance, at least as far as the guards go. I'm assuming it's going to take you longer than instantaneous, but I'm having my phone at vibrate just in case. Tammy called me. Okay. All phones on vibrate please. Good point. You're in in five seconds into their system, but now you're a big flashing blaring entity that's there. If I understand the nature of what I've done until I actually do something that maybe is unusual being in their system is unusual. You were fighting to create a backdoor to gain entry into their system without having to go through that whole battle like you just went through. Okay. So you now have that entrance as soon as you go through that door. Okay. How long is it going to take for you to shut open all the doors and shut down the power you think? I guess. Worst case scenario of 30 minutes. Well 30 minutes a roll is you're battling the IT professional with the invincis or the system men or whatever you call it. Now that you have the backdoor, you're in. Okay. You're in and then to actually shut things down, you're going to make some rolls but a couple minutes. Couple minutes. All right. So wait till the shift change starts and then take out. Open all the doors and shut down the power as quickly as you can. I know it's going to take a few minutes. Okay. All right. Get your dice pull. I'm staying under the cover of these two trees and right? I can spend like this. I can spend another willpower if I need to, right? It's a totally different scene. Yes. All right. Well, at this point, you have the same dice pool and you found where you need to go. But when you go in there, it's a bit more complex. You thought it was just shut off the power. So instead of being minus three dice, I haven't shut off the power. I know. I'm saying to try to shut off the power now, right? This is the second thing you're doing. Got the doors open, going for the power subroutine. So minus two dice instead of minus three dice. You had minus three last time minus two this time. When I hear your mother, I got the doors. I grab my bag. I start getting ready to move. Okay. I'm not moving to the power. So to be clear, I now actually add one dice to my pool because it was minus three. Now it's minus two. Correct. It's one more die than you had before. Right. So it's not taking the other two dice away, but it's minus three because you're no longer using willpower, right? You have to pay another willpower in this world, are you? Oh, there you go. Are you for this extraction? Was the idea to shut up all the power and then go in? So I'm so just clear. When I spend my willpower, it's this is actually two different tasks. Not one task. This is a new turn. Turn to three seconds. Okay. This was a lot. I thought it was. What breaks out of Michael's brow is everyone gets into a three point stance to start charging the fence. This is the other thing that you do. So you take out the wire cutters and you start to just go ahead. Do I have stealth roll first? If anybody spots me running up there, that's what I was going with the stealth. The fence themselves are still under pretty good cover. So you can get up. The fence is pretty easy. And I'm doing what? What? You're going to use strength plus athletics. Strength plus athletics. Strength plus firearms got it. I will assist him with that. How many bolt cutters did you get? You'll be assisting with your leatherman. And so go ahead and make a rule with your leatherman. One second please. J. And your strength plus athletics. Okay. I'm going to say minus two for the leatherman because it's a smaller utensil. All right. I'm rolling three dice here. I got minus one. Seriously? One second. Please. And then? Nothing. No. He gets a couple of coils cut, but it's not enough of an impression to help you out. Eddie diced your roll. So your die pull is whatever your die pull is. There's no minuses because you have eight or six. It's only three, but I'm adding a little power to make it six. Okay. Go. Two success. That's a lot of chappin' with a three success. All right. We got a six. There's a wide enough area to allow a man-sized individual to get through. So basically you cut up one row. You can kind of bend the fence in and get through. You're not trying to cut a circle. I put the tools away. I toss them back through. I go through and I weigh the others. All right. There is now about a, let's say, 20 yards, 60, 80 feet somewhere around there. Sister and I quietly walk off the field and pick up a bag and say, you're walking through the wood, towards the fence. Now it's about a 20 to 30 yard dash to where the construction vehicles are located. At this point you feel that you're still undetected by their system. Oh, we should be. I dash. We shouldn't be walking. I should say by their system, by everyone that's on the ground, we point to you. Go ahead. There's no alarms going off, so shouldn't we be walking normally instead of dashing? Wouldn't we be dashing to make it? Yeah. I mean crouching low and running stealthily. By stealth I'm just trying to avoid detection. Whether that means that you're walking like you belong there. Right. I don't know. We can make ourselves. If I go, if I'm running serpentine, I think that that's more noticeable than me just walking across a courtyard. Especially the construction site is busy and chaotic as it is. I'm not in an army crawling. All right. All right. Is it one, two, three stealth pools, stealth plus dexterity gentlemen, or if you're trying to act natural, he's present plus stealth. He's burning the van and giving us the command to come on. Unless, are you the only one moving Jen? Yeah. Yeah. At first. They're coming through the fence. All right. Hey, my. Um, yeah. Was it my turn? No, everyone was staying back by the tree line. I get to a van. I'm looking yes in windows to look for a clipboard and paperwork and any one of them. There's quite a few of the construction workers heading back towards the vans. That power is out when they're heading back for whatever reason. There's probably a group of five guys walking back towards the van right now. Well, before there was no one. Okay. I'm looking in one that's like the farthest from the building that puts the most vehicles between me and the buildings. We'll say it's this one right here. The one that's right. I checked out one. I checked the doors versus it online. Often they do not lock the decals on the infrastructure site because they're off. Right. Yes, it is unlocked. Is there any paperwork or a clipboard or anything? Second. Fucking tools. Paperwork, huh? I'm just looking. Yeah. Clipboard, paperwork, anything. As to the disguise with the company's logo. All right. 25% chance. Go ahead and let's see. One die is a 30% chance. 40% chance. Roll one die. And if you have a success, there's paperwork and a clipboard in there. That's really something. Do I see the five guys coming up the van? Do you see some people walking towards the van? You don't think he's in trouble just yet? Nothing on the first van. All right. Nothing in the first van. They are now easily. You can start to hear their voices as they're coming closer. I check another van, the closest. Wow, you're late. I checked the next closest van. I looked towards the tree line trying to spot it. Lucius. Okay. You have a 30% chance of there being paperwork in that van? No. No. And now I need you to make a stealth plus dexterity role because they are just about on top of you at this time. Let's go. Let's go. That's a good time to eat for a break. I can use a cigarette. Minus one? Still? Straight up. This one way over by it's lonesome was a success. The other five were not. So you kind of back your way up. Yeah. I had back and kind of merging with them coming from the tree line. Right. And they're kind of heading towards a couple different vans. They're kind of splitting. So you're kind of crouched behind one of the vans doing your best to, hopefully, pray that they won't come around to the back end of the van. Most of the guys are opening up doors and grabbing their cigarettes and stuff that are in the front seat of the van. Whatever is in my bag that will make somebody fall asleep as quickly as soon as possible is. So kind of set it up. Okay. So you spend the next turn or two. You know, getting your sedative ready. And what do you do the next turn? I try to get away from the van and rejoin them at the tree line. Or wherever they are. All right. That's going to be stealth plus dexterity minus three dice. Yikes. Yeah. There's guys right there. There's not a lot of cover from where the trees are at the fence to come here to success. And right about that time when you get back to the fence, you see some power seems to be coming on as if an auxiliary generator is shifting to a lot for at least the lighting of the parking area or the construction area. Excuse me. Let's just move into the construction area and find the open door that leads into the main area and go. We don't know how long these are going to stay open for you. So we do that. Are they heading back as well when the lights are coming out? Make a perception check. Can I see this as well? Yep. Anyone make perception check at this point? Holy fuck. Except for Lucius is looking down and getting his sedatives ready. Oh my goodness. Holy cow. Four successes with the zero in the four successes. How many? Out of five. Same zero. Four to five. I was looking over a shoulder so I know he was able to look. All right. Well, more than enough, you could see the guys kind of drop their shoulders, their resign. They stub out their cigarettes and they start heading back towards the job site. As soon as they're back to this construction area right here, like where they're focused. They move away from the trucks and towards this construction area. What do you guys do? All the stuff behind them. Yep. All the stuff behind them. All right. That's not going to be required. We're in advance like open or no? Yeah, mostly. We grab some tools at least to make it look like we're carrying tool bags. You are your medical stuff. I'm a baseball bat. Baseball bat. Yeah. I hit my ball over the fence. If you're going from the fence to trying to move behind these guys, not want people to see you, any security guards that are now starting to fan out and getting their positions because it's tied to the four o'clock walk around the building. To be honest with you, my thought was to get up to the vans as quickly as possible and as they started to turn or if they, I didn't know about the lights because, right, my thought was to grab the van. You're sitting pretty. Okay. Well, you're 20 to 30 yards away and they've already stacked out their cigarettes and started to move towards the pits, the pits, back towards the construction area, which is a pit like. So if you're moving towards the vans, how are you moving? Are you moving like you belong? Are you moving like you're trying to be detected by both the security guards and the construction workers that are going to see you coming from the fenced area? I'm using presence and I'm trying to look like I belong. Then that is Witz plus subterfuge, my friend. Wait, how come I thought it was presence? I'm carrying a no. I gave you the wrong, the wrong estimation before. You're trying to pass yourself off to someone else. I'm being sneaky. I'm going to. All right. So I'll be sneaky and stay. Well, yeah, you would. It's fair enough. You would know that. Go ahead. Over 10 like I've been telling, like I totally belong there. Okay. So the two men sneaking first made your stealth plus dexterity act. We'll say minus minus a die. People are definitely paying attention and they're kind of, you know, the whole thing is kind of weird with power going on. One, two successes. All right. You are both now at the fans and the guys are probably about 10 to 15 steps in front of you looking towards the construction site. Are there any boards or, you know, like, like a board? Are these guys all within speaking range of me? Well, yeah, I'm going to have you make your roles. But what I'm thinking is they're trying to get there quickly and they're going to be kind of moving faster than you two were looking like you belong. Okay. So can I get a three second line of speech out there? Sure. Go ahead. Maybe we should just stay with the fans on the next shift change. Then that's it. Okay. So he says that and. But I have this shift change sharing. Is this the new shift that's in here? New shift guards, not a new shift of construction workers. So are you two make, sorry, real quick, Greg and Bob need your Lucius and you go stand by him. I mean, if you want to whisper to me, you guys need to make wits plus subterfuge roles. Okay, I have my dice. And let me know when you have your dice pulled, Greg, wits plus what subterfuge? It's a skill. Oh, really? Yes. A social one at that. I have nothing in subterfuge. So you're minus one from your. Yeah, but I'm plus one because they have this striking look skill that apparently gives me plus one for that. But I thought it was only with members of the opposite sex. No, it's pretty much any time presence, wits or manipulation is required. Good. So you do not lose the dice. Both of you make this roll at plus one die because of your uniforms. Yeah, your overalls. It doesn't matter, full failure. Complete. You only had two? No, I had three dice. He said that one. Oh shit. What's your wits? It was my wits are two plus one is for your striking looks. Minus one because his name is. Minus one because I didn't have the skills. So it's three. My bad. Three dice. Right.
