[Music] Hello and welcome to Nights at the Night actual play podcast. This world of darkness story line shitmuck was written and run by our storyteller Scott. [Music] And now, please enjoy chapter 14 scene two titled answers. [Music] Before we started to cover a little bit of feedback we got, the first one was opposed from the white wolf forums, so I'll let our representative there read this one. All right we've got some feedback from a longtime listener, Interlight, and he is responding to a post I put on the white wolf forum indicating that episode number 37 was one of my top five favorite episodes. And Interlight says, "I agree. This one ranked up there with Tony blowing himself up and the 'Be in the ear' episode. I thought in essence letting his spirit in that you don't know very well is the same crapshoot as diffusing a bomb. I don't have any characters I play that would go for that one. And the crapshoot worked out so well for Tony. Yes, but it makes for an interesting story. So everyone is picking favorites. I guess it was Tony for me. And then I was getting into Sister Cake but he keeps ditching the game, sorry Jim, so NPCs don't really count. That really is a slam on Jim, that's funny. Oh I guess and Jim would respond except he's not here. I guess Dr. Lucius is next but really the line between favorites are so thin. It's almost no point in playing favorites. You've got a good group. Keep going as long as you can. We had some feedback on the RPG crosstalk as well. Some of it hinted at the fact that the people who listened seemed to like the individual player centric episodes. Like, choose where that entire episode you were wrestling with. The B-Tami song. Tami song in the in the B-Kung Fu shit she was dropping down on you. Trying to put a brain. And the other episode with which is pretty much Tony centric when he blew himself up. And that actually couldn't have played out any better as far as the overall general story goes as we'll hear, as we get farther. Yeah I thought he played his character well. He didn't cross that button because that's something his character would do. Yep. You know he rolled the dice and it didn't come out in his favor. I mean I think I recall nine dice and not a single success. It was pretty. It was an epic failure. That was just incredible. Right. As much as you guys were teasing me last episode about how I had two dice and I was still a whole other role of success three times in a row. Yeah. Right. Just two dice. The fact that you had like nine and nothing comes up. I mean one. And the odds are just not. But that also that explosion led to a great role playing by Dr. Lucius to save him. You know that saving many times. Who got Dr. Lucius down there? Jay that's right me. I was there. I think my point is Dr. Lucius rolled two critical successes. And Jay helped. No actually I was I helped get down there and when it came to it I had a decent medical role as well. The first time I was involved the second time I decided not to roll at all because the medical thing was that's Dr. Lucius. Right. And I didn't want to steal any of his thunder. It was like go go go be the best doctor that because that's what his character is supposed to be. Dr. Lucius in this story is just he's had some incredible roles. I mean he has Greg has rolled out of his I think I'm going to say three times the story that I can remember he had not an exceptional success of five successes. He had a double exceptional success where he rolled like nine or ten successes. Just unbelievable. His his dice rolling was just amazing. And some really critical situation. Not like I'm going to cross the street. Oh I rolled ten successes. We're talking someone's life is going to end the next turn rolling. And how he tied it into his ability as a doctor that he doesn't believe in magic or superstition but my skill my training as a scientist and as a doctor is what saved to man. Right. Yeah. So that was. I mean started and I think the very first one that we released as a recording was where he actually saved the guy that was driving the car that was. Oh Ethan who got thrown through the windshield and then into the bar mirror and then onto the bar itself. He was just a body accident and he came there and he completely saved him. He saved Ethan's life. And I think as a storyteller you had not intended for that to happen at all. No Ethan was definitely supposed to die. That was a role with it kind of moment as a storyteller because he was supposed to die and then it happened with Tony. When Tony got a bomb in the face I had every indication he was going to bleed out there and there was no chance to save him and you can't say no to ten successes. You can't you can't debate that. You got to let that let that happen. So anyways yeah that's some amazing rolling by. Well like I mentioned we also had some feedback on the RPG cross talk forms. One of them I can't I can't locate it exactly but it was saying the same thing which was that they really enjoyed the individual highlight episodes in which you got a lot of focused look at one of the players. I think they enjoyed that a lot. And that's something I think I'm going to try to build into stories as we go on. Not that they're going to take up an hour where everyone has to go stand. Yeah by the way that kind of sucks as one of players not involved. It's great to listen to you afterwards. Right but it could be you know like a 15 minute like nice one-on-one action with one of the players to get to know them a little bit better. I think that I enjoyed it as a storyteller the moments that happened when it was with chew or whether it was with Mike Clay. You know those those moments I think really helped bring out some characterization for the story and I think I'm going to use that some more in the future. So for what it's worth anyways. But listeners the two bits of feedback I could find were having to do with episodes 38 and 39 the most recent ones. Do you think a puzzle was commenting that he thought that Mike accuses Scott of being ambivalent and as a storyteller and he was correcting you and saying that Scott was being impartial. He was not being very impartial. He thought he was being very impeller. I'd like to know what the context of that. I just listened to that episode so I don't know. You don't remember hearing it? I don't remember saying that you were ambivalent. Yeah you did because I went back and listened. Michael was sounding right. Why? I thought that well it was because of Nico jumping in on the piling on that we were doing on Mike when we were all questioning the fact that you know should you be trusted. Oh I'm sorry I'm sorry you right. I'm sorry. I meant to say that you should be impartial not set me up to be the chosen one and have these guys have fun. I thought that would be. I didn't even use like my Nico accent as well. Yeah yeah you were. That was rough. Sorry about that Mike. No I felt absurd but it was something like Nico Nico was questioning whether Mike had the vapors. Sorry Mike. Tom asked me to do just another quick pass to see if I could like find some more time to get out of it. Yeah I was trying to get a lot of people have been counting in when they're going through that they like the 30 minutes rather than the 50-60 minute long. Right. So I was trying to get a couple that were closer to 30 rather than we've been having a long time. So he had like a 42 minute night. I took a shot at it and I was cutting stuff up and as I'm listening to it and finding stuff that I can cut. I'm listening to what amounts to just you know fighting everyone. Right. On this thing about how it's like I was inventing the story that I well to them maybe I was inventing my story. Yeah and I explained that too. Right. In the forum as I said from our point of view none of us were in the room. Right. It was very interesting from my point as editor to sit there and listen to stuff that happened when I wasn't there and going oh god we beat the crap out of Mike but our characters would do that. But as I'm editing this I'm actually thinking oh yeah I'm mad now. I mean I'm not role-playing. I'm really good. I have kind of annoyed you know and I think I finally really shifted gears when I think it was such a petty you know but it's like the it's it's the straw that broke the back of my character in my role. I remember it too. Where Katie's power is so cool. She's power to do so you're so awesome. I'm like what the what the fuck? You guys are trying to debate whether or not to shoot me or not but apparently Katie could look now. I did say that. Do that again it's so cool. Like it's like what the fuck? And he's like I think you asked him you're like what and he's like nothing it's not important I'm not gonna say well god damn it. You go down to say well it's just I'm because I'm trying to I'm not trying to I'm trying to it's part of the game it's part of whatever but I'm part of this storytelling style is that you get invested in your role play yeah and it's like fuck why do I have to be the bad guy. Part of the thing was you you were losing focus what you are arguing about is the fact that we were talking about who is going to do watch and you're like why can I do watch after previously saying if you don't trust me then you know tie me up and use handcuffs. I've already listened to those episodes you've won. I could understand that's why exactly it was like because you kept doing that flop where you're coming back around saying well then don't trust me I'm like how can I make it any clearer I'm not trusting you. I was talking position to be and as a player too you know to not be trusted like that by the rest of the group. Absolutely. If I was playing that unless my character was one held an empathetic individual which I can't imagine I wouldn't trust him as far as I could through him after he told me what he told me you know after we told you guys. I'm being written. Yes I'm being written. I just thought well I just think it's also a classic moment that helped inform that moment was the loop guru werewolf who ate your friends just getting more respect and more more consideration or benefit of the doubt. Oh that's a nice dog eat. Is Michael being neat to you? You're still picking Bieber out of your teeth and you're okay with it but apparently I'm the bad guy. Back to the forums. Sorry. No no problem. Episode 38 and 39 Rocket who posts on a lot of our episodes so we'd like to thank him for his feedback. He's also the one that called you out a couple times too about sharing but that's your friend Rocket. He said he was looking forward to the fact that we said that there'll be more stories with this game. No not Tuesday but there'll be more stories with this characters and that will play with this group again but it was sad to hear that we were nearing the end and I would like he liked how each character is very well suited to their particular conspiracy. He liked the whole conversation between the platonic idea of Cleveland and Michael Clay. We also had some feedback from Jen and Genisodes in which he said she really liked this spooky voice. Yes and we've heard that. That is audacity for Jen and to get back to Rocket real quick I already have the name for the second story of these characters which is called The Castle. It's going to be the name of the second story that takes place and so you know keep listening and we'll get to it in short order. And lastly there was episode 39. Arranged or deranged in which we were discussing Michael Clay's mental state. I think I can't remember what the title I came with after the fact that I thought it was a little bit better. We always have a plethora of choices but other choices are deranged or deranged. Yeah because we didn't know if Michael had arranged for our successful completion of the missions or you was just you just bugged up crazy yeah we didn't know. But Rocket responded on that one as well by saying that it was nice to see Bob/choose snarkiness come out against the good and honest Michael Clay. Wow see don't you feel good? Yeah there's a little bell in it. Although Jay's serious tone of "you ain't getting a watch" was a breath of realism into the game. Wait who is this? This is Rocket. He's he's don't like you apparently he doesn't think I'm gonna know. We all have someone like Scott Rollins who's giving me grief on the Facebook page. Because apparently I don't know Madison Mouse. The planning sessions are usually the dullest for me in a game I play as I like the tense action sequence but the group did very well on covering the angles for the stakeout and the final confrontation. I give the story teller credit for having written a masterpiece of a game with twists and turns. I didn't see coming but good job all the way around. Except for Chew. Except for Chew. That was from Rocket. And yeah you guys mentioned Facebook. We're gaining you know fans on Facebook. There's a lot of stuff. I'm trying to get all of the documentation as it goes into episodes up on the page. For instance we recently had the stuff from the library in which we did a reading and there was different characters in the story and it was read by different people and there was another at least two pieces from Alice to Crowley. Those stuff I'm putting up as the episodes are being released so that the fans can look at them while we're doing that. And that's all on Facebook. All right with all that feedback out of the way we'll go on to the game. This is World of Darkness story shit luck with us tonight. Starting from my left is Mike playing Michael Clay by playing Special Agent Chew Park. Tom playing Jay Alton. And Jim playing Sister Katie O'Connor. First watch goes by with no problems. It is now 4.30 in the morning. Like a baby. I guess I'll take the second watch. All right. Are we all sleeping in the same room? No. No. I mean if the rooms are big enough. Yeah they're small little rectory rooms. I assume that they're small so I was kind of like hanging out in the hallway. Chair you know these are really small though and they can get into places. Quite nice. I was afraid of peace. I said god I thought I was afraid of peace. You can have one climb around in your skull. What? Got it out. Lucius has it in a paper bag or a plastic bag. Okay so Chew taking a second watch in. You're not all sleeping in one room, correct? Even though Chew is so much disconcerting about that. Second watch goes by without any strange things. Well as in middle of the night during the early morning you hear the typical sounds of the city coming alive. You know some traffic out in the street. Certainly the bells of the church ringing. But besides that it's you know it's a pretty calm watch and it's 8.30 in the morning when it's 10.30 in the morning. The fuck is this sniper rifle down here? I think on the ropes they're down. They don't climb all the way up to the tower and tap on the phone. No I'm guessing that they're a loud speaker. But nowadays most of them are young. Not St. Patrick. They have ropes up to their bell tower, right? All right and so it's 8.30 in the morning and you made it through all right. You both do not get one little power pack because you can get a full night of sleep because the watch is unfortunately. How much longer do I need to sleep to get the little power right here? Well you need a full night uninterrupted so I would say that the four hours you had to do um you can eat at least let's say another three or so to really make it work. So you have to sleep almost noon. Well we can rearrange that to have him take first watch and then we'll let him sleep in. Knowing what you know now yeah that means a hell of a lot more sense. Right so 8.30 in the morning everyone but chew is up. Right we go out and get breakfast and when you go out to breakfast there's a diner across the street that you can just grab some some breakfast at and Michael your cell phone rings. Who's calling me? It's Nico. I was gonna say ask him in Nico. How do you answer it? Hello Nico. Hello Vika. Good morning to you. How are you feeling my friend? Much better much better. Where are you at? My friend. Who's having some breakfast Nico? Oh okay I I returned to the library last night. I go back Mikayel. I finished the research. I have some notes for you. Oh actually you like to meet? Yes. All right I meet you where we met last night or somewhere somewhere different Mikayel. No I think that's a good idea. We'll meet where we met last night. That's right. I need some places. I know. I will be there in less than a half hour. All right we'll be waiting for you Nico. Who is my friend? I'll see you then. See you then. Hang up and then I tell everyone that Nico you know information presumably that if anyone wants to come with me I probably shouldn't be left alone. I need a chosen one requires an entourage. Get a breakfast to go for two and I'm gonna go to the top of the tower and start spying on them with binoculars and whatnot. And you got tape to go over to. Yeah well probably say Dr. Lucius around to the park to watch that other side because that way you then Sister Katie and Chuke and well you'll be sleeping. So it's just you Katie and Michael can meet with Nico. Lucius agrees that that's a great idea. He'll go sit in the woods for a while. We believe there's a parking lot where he could park his car and see true because there's a ball diamond there. Right and I think there's parking so he can see the back of the thing. With the binoculars he makes a pretty good something. I think you set up a movie camera or a video camera the night before. Okay. You have to hang out with right in here. Hang out with Michael. All right Michael you're a knock on your door for a half hour later. Hey open it. Hello Mikaiel. Oh you look better my friend. Much better. I give him. I'd be in to give him the secret age. He just tied to her handshake to make sure that he is. He gives you the secret handshake. All right. And he uh hands over some notes says I finished this last night. I went back to the open books. I know enough. I know enough to finish and you you you seen your temperament was not you last night. You were you were different my friend. So I finished for you. We important research. Thank you. You're French is much better than mine Mika so that's probably for the best. We have a gua. Go fair. Lasted a note about it. For how much you got to do more research but should be the link go again with the small cursive handwriting. Good eyesight to my age. Does anyone want to read it out before we get into the discussion of it? I'll read it if no one else wants to. Charles. These are Niko's notes following the retreat from the library. Time and my preternatural perseverance would eventually reveal the answers that I had long sought after the mysterious appearance of the bee spirit on that terrifying August evening so long ago. During my recent travels I have crossed paths with a host of minds nearly as impressive as my own in regard to various fields of the occult. Although their knowledge couldn't surpass that of an actual warlock like myself some did have fields of study in which their information was perhaps deeper if not nearly as wide as my own. It was an in opium den in Paris that the first and most important revelation regarding the bee spirit revealed itself into onto me. The creature was not trying to harm me as I had originally suspected. It was attempting to communicate with me on equal terms. Somehow the sacred idol which I carried that night in my smoking jacket had conferred a sense of brotherhood or perhaps more correctly sisterhood with the alien being. Its animated behavior was not one of aggressiveness but rather one of excitement as one who greets a long lost friend that is unexpectedly stumbled upon in a foreign city. It was thrilled, amazed and utterly confused at finding one of its own kind and the relic that I had assumed was a focus for summoning the alien spirit was in fact the exact opposite. Not only did it confer a sense of other worldliness to myself, dripping me in a cloak of spiritual essence but the pulsing of the idol increased as I drew near the library. It was a lodestone for finding the creature and the information is extracted for a second and then it begins again. The second revelation that came to me was thus. The ban of the creature is not a means for summoning or even protecting oneself from it. It is a means of forcing a single behavior from the beast. During my conversation with the limited Mr. Thaleem at his University of Paris office, we discussed the use of bans when in the presence of spirits. It was Mr. Thaleem's thought after hearing the story of the B creature that the pinions, blood and relic were a means of limiting a single magic power of the creature. Mr. Thaleem seemed to possess a practical knowledge of alien spirits that I must confess to doubting quite strongly. The readers left to make his own determination as to the veracity of Mr. Thaleem's understanding, but at least in this limited example, I think he led me to the correct conclusion regarding why the summoning didn't initially work. The ban was not one of summoning. As to why the creature did appear a week later in my library, neither Mr. Thaleem nor myself could draw a definitive conclusion. Perhaps it sensed the relic and came at a time of its choosing. Perhaps it was drawn to the strange magic energy that pervades my home. Or perhaps these alien spirits followed the lay lines of power which are known to pass through my residence. Why then what extent I would never learn as I would never grasp paths with the strange bee spirit ever again? Mr. Crowley, the book of lies, 1912. Eight years after the original notes from the book of law in 1904. The book of law, the book of lies, so how do you believe anything in the book of lies? The book of lies more from Mr. Crowley. Good, it wasn't an obian den in Paris that the first and most important revelation right on my own. So, the idol is more of a load stone to locate the creature. And if I understand correctly, also implies that it makes the person using it appear or be accepted as one of the bee spirits, which might come in handy. For example, that might allow me to command, you know, maybe the minions. No, the idol can be used to find a creature. Yes. Now, I would thought at first I was saying that they, I don't know maybe, but it doesn't really say it works the other way around. I'm quoting here somehow the sacred idol, which I carried that night in my smoking jacket, had conferred a sense of brotherhood, or perhaps more correctly sisterhood, with the alien being. It's animated behavior was not one of aggressiveness, but rather of one of excitement as one who greets a long lost friend that is unexpectedly stumbled upon in a foreign city. It was thrilled, amazed, and utterly confused at finding one of its own kind. So, what I think that to mean is then, if it has any type of authority or power over people like who attacked us in the alley or any of the people who might be guarding vitamin B, it might either let us get past centuries without being detected or alerted, or it might let us influence or control someone. Or at least, or, or, you know, it might actually let us negotiate with Benjamin on the same level who knows. Perhaps we can find out what the band is from Benjamin, or did you, we weren't really ever going to talk to Benjamin, we're just going to sit in this residence. I don't really need to walk in now. We need bees. Well? Okay, I finished my surveillance. Yeah, we'll take new at this point, and Nico is departed. Thank you, Nico. And your guys are grabbing some lunch at this point, too. You have awoken, showered, and you feel much more alive than you had for the last 24 or 48 hours. You get one willpower back. Sister Kate, you've taken care of whatever, you know, religious obligations you have this morning, and everyone meets for lunch to discuss Nico's find. Now, in a gaming sense, you can make a role to solve a nigma's, quote-unquote. It's an intelligence plus investigation skill. And if you want to try to draw some conclusions from that above and beyond your own characters, if you want to try to draw some actual hard conclusions to it, we can go ahead and apply that. I tend to ignore the solving of nigma's, because you guys all have good heads in your shoulders, and most of your characters have decent widths or intelligence about you. So I don't allow for this, but as you're getting close to the conclusion and you want to draw some hard facts from what you've been able to to read and all the information you've gathered up, just in addition, I mean, you could have your own conclusions. We don't have to do this, but if you want to try to use the solve a nigma's skill, we can do that. It would some successes. I can answer questions on a yes or no basis, like, you know, is this what the ban is according to all the knowledge we have. The knowledge you have can still be wrong, but based on what you know, I can give you a yes or no answer based on the solving and nigma's skill of investigation. So would you guys like to use that, or would you like to just use your own brain power? Well, I would like to use the solving and nigmas. Not to mention I have a specialty in that for investigation. Sounds like Michael would like to use his solving and nigma investigation skill. Would you like to use your investigation skill to try to solve this and nigma as well? Were you doing the separately? Yeah, I will answer, depending on how many successes you get, I will answer a question based on the information you have before you. One yes or no question for each success if you wish to make the wrong. I'm just asking the right question. So, of course, I mean, we can't just give the, I mean, at least I would prefer not to just give the answer. That, that takes all the fun out of it, doesn't it? The only thing I'm not certain about is what the ban is. Right. I mean, I was just writing down. I mean, it's, are we clear on, I mean, what exactly is the ritual? What is the ban? I don't know, I'm kind of confused now. And that, but that's not a yes or no question. Okay, so you've got all the notes from all the things you've gathered up. Um, who has the highest investigation plus intelligence? I've got two investigation, two intelligence, and I also have a specialty for solving your name. Five. What do you got? Two. I have five. Five. What do you have? Four. I have no investigation. Still. Okay, and it is a, and it's minus three. Bad. Yeah, it's because it's going to be like minus one. You'd be a chance to die. So, we need to keep you away from the, the ID. You know that you're weak at drawing conclusions and you probably don't want to. Would you want to ask Tom real quick? Go ahead. I was saying what? No, I was saying, how about this for everybody? It means a force in a single behavior from a, what single behavior would you be forcing, trying to force from it to be? Michael knows from his experience in the past of bands and spirits in general, it's usually when you deduce a ban from a spirit, it's something that the spirit does not want to do. What Michael came up with in his studies of, or what his knowledge is of spirits and bands are, it usually prevents behavior. Like, if you were to put salt down in front of, you know, a spirit of, hey, it might not be able to cross that salt path. If you, that was, that's the one behavior you're affecting. If you place a cheesy poof in front of a spirit of gluttony, he has to stop and eat it before he can attack you. He has to stop and eat it. You know you're going to be able to get that occurrence out of that creature. And what, the werewolf told you, what side street billy, or William Hobson told you, was the problem with the Shartha are that when you kill them, they just disappear and reincorporate. And you saw, you saw that with Henry, in the sense that you tackled him and he just broke down in a decayed torso and all these bees went flying. And you couldn't kill all those bees at one time in order to stop those bees from re-inhabiting other people. So you don't have all the information you need in building it and give it to you. But what he did say was, you can stop the Meredith from scattering and just going back to the shadow realm or just going to other places in the building and then reforming herself in the future. You can actually stop that and he thinks that's what the ban is. Now to be fair, he was high on heroin at the time. But he did a dream kind of thing when he was chanting while you guys were kind of interrogating him. Crowley was on opium when he wrote this. So it's all good. Right. Jay shoots up. I mean it's all good. So that's what it's more like. Not like you're trying to make it be lovey. Like a hate spirit be lovey. It's more like the hate spirit can't attack you if you do this. The hate spirit can't follow you. You can't use a particular power perhaps. Like it's most potent power. So bans are anathema to spirits. They hate their bans but they have to have them. And I guess the long and short of it is if you go up against a spirit you're usually going to get your ass kicked. Is what Michael's you know knowledge of spirits. I know it's been. And unless you know how to use the bans to limit it or unless you're held a lot more powerful than you are right now. Okay. You two are tied. You can both roll a die ten to see who goes first and then we'll go with Jay after that. Four. None. Okay. Bob go ahead. Take your five dice. This enigma is very esoteric in nature. So I'm going to have you reduce your pool by one. All right. I'm rolling four dice. All right. Ten. Ten. Ten again. Eight. Two successes. Two successes. Fire what? Just a yes or no question. Ask question and I'll answer it truthfully with the information you currently have. So not just a yes or no question. I said that earlier but let's just the actual role is in the book is you get the answer. I'm not getting the answer. That's just way too powerful. But I will give you a lot you know of confidence that you might have the right answer. I guess one of the questions I have is what do we need to perform the band and how well that's your first question. Okay. What do you need to perform the band? Correct. Well actually how I'm not going to try to trick you like a demon you know it's just in some you know wicked curse. I think what you're trying to say. Oh how we do it. I think I know what we need. Not the interrupt but when you're describing then are you asking what the band is or what the ritual is to invoke the band. What the ritual is to invoke the band. Okay I just don't understand how you represent it. Okay. The answer to that question is there doesn't seem to be one. Okay. There is no spirit. Maybe the spirit would know more about that but from the information we have we we just know. From the information you've been presented you do not think there is a ritual you think what everyone's telling you is get the pinions get the blood have the relic with you and that in it's that in and of itself is the band. Okay. If you bring it in front of the spirit it should work is what you've been able to ascertain so far. Next question. The pinions and blood that we need to collect is a special kind or you know if we just go to any old beehive and collect that. From the information that you're able to suss out of the you know the the various sources you have you believe strongly that it needs to be the blood of the Sinclair. Now that being said Meredith is a Sinclair or was a Sinclair before she got married and Benjamin is a Sinclair. So it could be referring to Benjamin's bees or it could be referring to Meredith herself. It seems to be a little bit unclear although you tend to lean towards the interpretation that it's Benjamin's bees because it said go to the apiary and you know pull off the pinions the wings. As far as you know Meredith doesn't have 22 wings. She is a queen bee seemingly in this sense but there's also queen bees and hives. So if he's telling you to go to it this is back to Giles as the pamphlet on Giles Garnier. It seems to be referring back to specifically bees from an apiary owned by a Sinclair. Okay okay those are your two questions for right now. Michael would you like to have a go at it? Sure. Five dice minus one for the complexity. Ten again and an eight. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. Three successes. Ask away my friend and you don't have to ask three questions if you don't have questions. Can I bank them using them? Which maybe could could there is my essay is they could come as a revelation at a key moment where I'm like you know what like all the facts finally click together and maybe that you like I will bank that done like I can ask her. Sure yeah that's a good that's a good I'm lowering the power of the of the skill so at least I can do is let you bank them if you want to. Well it seems like a good trade-off. All right well you've covered the ritual you've covered. Do you want to make a role as well Jen? I mean if you come up with a question before Michael does it doesn't really matter who answers the questions first. So you have four minus one die for the two plus. I'm spending a while so I have six. Okay. Good thing you did. Yeah really. I only got one out of those six dice. Okay so subtract a willpower and you have one question to ask or bank. And this is only about the ban in the notes all right so I really can't call me on that. Right. This is solving the enigma of anything contained within the notes. So we've got Benjamin we've got the a perry we've already talked about this thing clear, bloodline, blood from the bees we're probably going to Benjamin's. We've got a ban just to clarify what you asked. The drop of blood, the pinions and the idol are the components of the ban. And the ban seems to be severely limiting the power of the spirit to one. Oh limiting the power of the spirit. I think which might be the spirit the power that it could just scatter and reform, live in it so it's important. So it has to stay where it's at. So that's why I'm saying like ask the question clarifying what exactly the ban is what Bob already kind of asked. Bob didn't ask what the ban was. Bob said, "Choose that I know what the ban is. What's the ritual?" All right and you said you already know what the ban is. The bees, the blood and the. That's why that's why I'm saying that we we kind of agree on that that's what the ban is. Yeah. I don't care. But maybe I don't want to waste one of my questions. Then the question you have three. What is the ban or what do we do to make the ban happen? I guess the question is what is the ban? It's a mean it's a means of forcing a single behavior from the bees. What is the behavior? Not to this corporate. That would Billy said when you interviewed him she would well he didn't say that exactly what he said was you know she won't be able to get away or flee to the spirit realm or you know so. She won't scatter. She won't scatter is a big way to put it. And then of course the question is okay. We got you. You're kind of stuck where you're at right now. Would your spirit of Cleveland be able to force it to leave? That I don't know that's outside of the bounds of what we're investigating right now. If I understand what we're talking about. This particular role for this enigma yes sorry. I would say yes. You haven't researched heart-cooked brain to be fair you know. Right. No one's gone to any of their occult sources and tried to figure out if they've even heard of such a thing before. So no you may not ask questions at this point on that. Okay. So I guess I know what I'll be looking up while I wait for wrestlers to come around this afternoon. I'm going to bank these questions for now move along. I don't want to waste time. I said you're trying to wreck my brain is trying to think of a question that Bob didn't already kind of cover in his first turn. Yeah I'll do the same. Okay just so we can get moving on John. Yeah let's just go. Great. So your research you talked for a while over some takeout back in the rectory. It's now one o'clock in the afternoon.
