Tired and exhausted from endless danger, the hunters are beginning to fracture as too many plots, plans and schemes collide. One of them may have brought a plague upon the latest safehouse, but is the infection real or something more insidious?

[music] Hello, and welcome to Night of the Night, actual play podcast. This world of darkness storyline, "Shit Long" was written and run by our storyteller Scott. [music] And now, please enjoy chapter 12, scene two, titled "The Infection of Dissension". [music] So this is chapter 12 of the world of darkness story, "Shit Long", and with us tonight are... Tom playing the character of Jay. Great playing the character of Dr. Ephesius. Bob playing special agent, Chew Park. And Michael playing. Before we get started in role playing, there's just not necessarily the feedback, but there was a mention on 6arrows.com, which is an actual play podcast. It's also a blog site in which they mentioned the nights of the night, because I gave them some feedback and they gave a shout out to us and told some of their listeners to listen, so we're turning the favor. We did see a spike on that particular day of additional downloads, so it was nice. 6arrows? 6arrows.com. Is that like the symbol of chaos from the Michael Moorcock books? It could be. Yeah, I didn't ask them. And now, I think you used it. But they do actual play. In addition, other podcasts, one of them is like some of my frequent comic book review, like they'll talk about comics that came out that week. And the one that I gave feedback on was one in which Jeff and his son watch the Merlin show. BBC America? I don't know if it was BBC. I watched that Netflix streaming. Oh, Mark and I watched it. I think Mark and I are old. I'm not 100%. Is that any good? It was pretty good. Mark really enjoyed it, and I thought it wasn't too bad. His son did a great job on the podcast. Told him as much, and then he gave a shout out, so that was nice. That's very nice. We certainly appreciate that, the shout out. And just for the record, mystery is still missing. Missing mystery? Yeah. She hasn't posted in a month, so she... Hopefully she's still listening. Don't think she ever saw this. She never saw the white wolf. Only at white wolf, and since they switched their forms over, she hasn't been around, so... She's boycotting. Hopefully she's still downloading us, even if she's boycotting white wolves. But a little shout out to mystery if she's around to give us a hot look. There you go. Okay, and now we'll go on to the adventure. All right, just going back really quickly from last session when you interrogated and questioned Side Street Billie. Chew, you have fortitude and sloth. I don't see any one of those being used. Any great degree that jeopardized your life and really put yourself out there. To use either one of those vices or virtues for that scene. So I've no award for you. Michael, you've got prudence and greed. I will say that you fought with, or at least verbally debated, with Jay throughout the interrogation wanting a more forceful action to be taken against Side Street Billie, which speaks to your prudence. Heck yeah, he's a crazy werewolf. Not just a normal werewolf, like some type of souped up magic using werewolf. Right, so because you went against popular opinion and kind of put yourself out there and used your prudence, you get one will power back from that scene. How about my, well I didn't think it was greed. Maybe some of the people would accuse it of greed, but there was another artifact that required some investigation news, and I think it would be prudent if the local relic, oh that was greed. Well I think it's- Make up arguing that you should have it and I can bargain with it. Well I think it's prudent that my experience is, I'm sorry, that's last time, that's not rehashing. Correct. Moving on. That was greed. Jonathan, faith in pride. I'd have to say that faith probably won out over pride. Your faith in humanity and Billie's ability to tell the truth and not come back to really haunt you, you know, giving him your blood so he can track you. I think that speaks to your faith. Pride, I certainly see glimpses of it in that particular scene, but not to such a great degree that I think it deserves a full, you know, back of all your- Actually, I got it backwards. It's the other way around. If you're doing good through your detriment, you get all your willpower back. If you're doing bad, you get one back, and for some reason I was doing it the other way around. So Michael, you have all your willpower back because you argued prudently from your point of view to kill. If you do good, if you fulfill your virtue, you get all your willpower back. If you fulfill your vice, you get one willpower back because it's easier to give into your vice than it is to be a goody two-shoes. So Jonathan, getting back to you, I have to agree with that. Your faith in side-street Billie, or at least in your ability to see him as something more than a monster, certainly speaks to your faith. And I think you get all your willpower back for that. And Lucius wasn't here last week, so I cannot give him anything back, unfortunately. All right. You're at the church. It's peaceful. The church. The first time in this adventure, it's peaceful. Wait. Yeah. Give it five minutes. You're in a building off of the main cathedral, commonly referred to as the rectory. There are some guest chambers there. Pretty staid, not very glamorous. But here, you know, a writing desk, a bible, a bed to sleep in, a wardrobe. We put some clothes in, and then a adjoining, you know, just small bathroom with a stand-up shower, and a toilet and a sink. All I need right now is a bed. All right. When we last left the different scenes from earlier weeks, you're probably looking at somewhere around three o'clock in the afternoon. On this, the third day of the story. Shit. Really? We started, yeah. It's been a rough two days, two and a half days. Wow. We started on, I believe, what was Wednesday, May the first. The first night was spent chasing Henry and getting rid of the body. Mm-hmm. The second, which was, what, to May 2nd? Which then was the day that you investigated quite a bit, and then were attacked that evening. On second, and this is the third. So I believe it's Friday, May 3rd. I'll check and see in the calendar what day it really is. Actually, it's Monday, May 3rd. Time's just rolling together. It started out Saturday the first. Anyways, you have been brought into your rooms, three separate rooms, but on the same hall. On the same level. Okay. The hallway, is it a dead end hallway or one entrance? There's a hallway leading up from, you're on the second level. There's a stairway leading up from the first level on both sides of the rectory. So you have a long hallway in between with six, about six private rooms, three on either side of the hallway. Stairs on either end, and it's just a two-story building. And a hallway down on the first level, much the same. So it looks like they have room for, well, they have twelve small apartments here, basically. What kind of ventilation do they have in terms? The rectory is actually relatively modern, so they have a central air system built into the rectory. Based on my knowledge of the cult and spirits in general, do I know or do I suspect there's any threat due to this being hallowed or consecrated ground since it is a rectory? Is it something like a threshold, the same type of threshold that Sister Katie had put in our safe house before? Since this is consecrated ground, do we have to worry about rogue or errand spirits, possibly? Go ahead and make it a cult plus witch role, please. Okay, that's five dice. Do you want to give me any minuses for that? No, it's a pretty standard question, so I'm fine with it. Three successes. There's definitely a lot of conflicting reports that spirits aren't something that can get across a threshold, but then there's other cases where spirits were able to freely move across the threshold. The answer to the question is that no one knows, but you know that you don't know. So that should make you feel good, right? Wow, three successes got me there. Sorry, I don't have much more than that. Because there is so much uncertainty about it, you know, about what type of spirit it was, although I'm lost at relative, well, sometimes you've read stories where those had trouble crossing a threshold of past credit ground. Is it some spirit that just is like some faceless spirit that, you know, just attacks a group of hunters? What if it's a B spirit? How are we out of B spirits? B spirits. You don't know anything, unfortunately, about the B spirits, but, you know, I guess the long shore of it is, you know, it seems like there are conflicting stories, and it's just impossible for you to know with certainty. Which, you know, I mean, if you have a lean one way or another, after this story so far and what's going on, you probably lean towards the, we're not safe anywhere. You haven't had a home since this-- Wasn't there some destination we found in the Cleveland Library that spoke of what was not safe? What was not? What did not work on these spirits? Yeah, from Elastir, Crowley's, the book of law. Gochoo? I wasn't really there. Well, these are notes that might prepare for everybody. Oh, yes. Well done, though. Thanks. Even though these are topics that I would like to research, I don't think I am capable of cognitive thought right now because I think we're all going on-- Oh, yeah, I mean, definitely sleep isn't first. Yeah, I mean, we're my priorities, at least. I think I'm exhausted. Should we all sleep in three separate rooms, though? Well, we are in a church. We shouldn't say it. We should be safe. Well, our last two safe houses weren't exactly safe. Yeah, so I'm just going to go to sleep because I'm really tired. The reason I was asking about this, the hallways, I could take the one that's closest to the stairs to put-- There's two stairs. I'm going to turn my phone on super loud and put some earplugs in and a mask. You know, surgical mask or whatever. I'm going to spray around my door, bug spray. Right. Put maybe like an extra blanket or something by the door. I'm a button so nothing can get through there. Oh, blocking up the little, you know, crack that would be there between the door and the floor. Okay. And spraying the ventilation, the air conditioning vent with bug spray and closing it and trying to get the sleep. Fair enough. Wow. It's much more careful than I have. He certainly is very prepared. I know you got one of those tried to bring a few. You can have a spray raid in your ear twice. Not once. Twice. I do have the can door though, so that's great. Correct. I have that handy. I have my gun handy. Pull out the Bible and do a little reading on it. All right. Do the doors open in or out? They open out. Sweet. Is there a chair in the room? Yes, there's like a writing desk and a chair. I'm going to lean the chair up against the door. So if the door were to open, it would hopefully wake me up. After reading the Bible for about, what if I've been to turn hours? Something. Of course, may I go to visit the points chamber and ask for a question? Okay. He's in there talking a cult knowledge with Sister Kate. Mm-hmm. What up? Since it's our belief that your little troll doll there is the fan that we need. I suspect it's the band, but not do what you did. Okay. Not do what I do. What did I do that you... Well, what I'm referring to is to find out how John Beard died. You've got to do it on the band to find out how it was used in the past. Not too far back. A couple of things. One, it's probably, if it's as ancient as it is, my visions would only... The power would only go back. I'd measure it in years. There. So one, I don't think I'd have the power to go back. Two, I have used the power that I could use it on. I won't be able to use it again for a while. And three, considering what happened the last time I used the power, the idea... Terrifies me the way you're terrified of bees to even try to invoke it. But maybe I don't build that one up so much. Okay. It just carded me that... Yeah, but whatever power... At the very least before I could ever use it, again, I'd need to get a lot of rest. Oh, yeah. I'm asking it right now. Just like... I consider it in amongst our plants. Alright, so it's three o'clock in the afternoon. The rain has tapered off. It's just a gray overcast. Windy spring day. As you look out your windows on the gardens around the St. Patrick's Church Theatre. So, what do you... I mean, Choo's obviously going to sleep three o'clock in the afternoon. He's just exhausted. He's like, "I'm crashing, man. I'm crashing and burning." What's the rest of the game plan? Well, I got a body in the back of the ambulance. You sure do? Well, you guys know I went to go get a talk. You know nothing. You just last appeared in. I sent a text. You can go through? Fuckers. What do you want to mean for? 18 days, Paul. Good. You mean so, I remember sending the doctor a text. And we were interrogating Billy, and I hadn't heard from him. No. Okay. Oh. So yeah, that might be something that you want to address. I'm not going to tell you. Not me, though. That's your job. You're the thing, you're the boss. I know. I don't know. Sactime. So off. So I tried calling him directly. But I don't even know about the St. Patrick's idea. So, what are you doing with the body once you can't get it? No, I really don't know. Didn't take it that far through. No. No. I can drive it around in an ambulance. I am. Pretty much right now. I think it. Yep. That's pretty much what I'm doing. Don't call him, although I don't know where this fits into his timeline. You get a hold of him. Nope. Doc, where the hell are you? No. That's a long story. Say of Tony in the back of the ambulance. Was he in the hospital? Yeah, but he wasn't safe. So I'm driving him around. And I have to kill him. Say it right in the hospital. Why? I have to kill him. Why? I'm just telling him. I'm sorry. Which one do you have to kill? Tony. That's why. Which one of us do you have to kill? That's why I'm driving around with him in the back of the ambulance. Um, who gave you that award? I'm pretty sure I'm in charge of this task force. I know I did. Yeah. Well, I can't really talk to you about it right now, but I have them in the back of the ambulance. So you really need to talk to me about it right now. Why are you figured out what I'm going to do? Why are you doing one of my team members who gave you this award? He's got some disease that I can't diagnose. He's going to die. Is that how you keep your perfect record? You can kill the ones you can't cure. What the fuck are you talking about? It's orders. He's going to die. From who? You keep saying it's orders from who? Is it from Tate? No. No. It's because that's pretty much who's in charge of this if it isn't me. No, it's the people that put Tony together. If you know what I mean. Put him together. You want to take it apart. So, right now I'm driving around with him in the back. And he's probably going to die anyways. But they want me to speed it along. So, I'm just driving around. I don't think I need to know this. Why don't I need to know this? I don't think you do either. I just-- I'll try with you, baseball. If you've got any suggestions, boss, be glad to hear them. Can't sisters, Katie, fix him up? But you can do stuff you can't. I know you don't believe in the magic shit. The power of the Lord is strong. God. All right, so I'm just going to hop in the back and kill him now. I'm just kidding. Hey, I got two hours outside, Navy. Yeah, he's going to be coming out of that company. He put him in pretty soon. And he's already moaning slightly. Well, I got a head that whiskey out. Where are you at? I don't even know where you're at. Yeah, you've got to meet up with us. There's a lot of shit going down, and you're probably not safe out there. All right, so go back to the safe house? No, safe houses and safe. Again? Again, the second safe house is in safe. These are scrambled phones. I'm reasonably sure no one can do. Yeah, I mean, you feel pretty comfortable. Sorry, I give them the address of the church in Charles. St. Patrick's section. I'll come around back with the lights off. Okay, so a few minutes later, he pulls in. He pulls into St. Patrick's Cathedral off to the side. One of the side drives and finds his way to the rectory. And he's sitting in there just looking kind of spaced and lost. Like he can't quite wrap his head around it. Paul, you work for Sire. That's your primary concern. You went here for the take, dreaming up. Trust me, we work for Sire first. Mm-hmm. I understand. But I think we can get through this. Because I think Tony would be worth more alive than dead, regardless of... I agree. The people who tell me differently. Tony does, also. But I have to be honest with you. I don't have any idea what's wrong with him. He's going to die anyways. So, get the... It's a sister Kate. Get the virgin over here and we're going to have her do a shot. No, you guys are sleeping because you need a shot. Well, no, you were... You said you were... He doesn't need to sleep quite as much as he thought. Because that whole fighting you for the werewolf's soul really invigorated him to want to kill the werewolf. What do you mean? Yes. Arguing with you. Yeah, the gentleman pulpit did it. Anytime you want to argue, man. Get the gentleman pulpit. Well, how to fight with you? I have to fight with you. I'm with clothes because you're a sniper. So, I don't like these thousand yard arguments that we have. That's very true. He's talking about a debate. I don't think he actually fights. So, strongly worded argument. You're cutting knife. No. Okay. Did you get on a knife? I got my sniper rifle. So, the owners of Tony's part want those hearts back. Yeah, they can have him back when Tony's dead. It's not. But he will be. Then they can have him back. Well, actually, if I think perhaps we should let Tony back. Would you like to kill us all? Mr. Kill the werewolf. Kill Tony. Well, Tony is infected and he's really more of a threat now. When he was infected. Well, this I got from Billy. The information I have on Tony. When did Billy give information on him? Am I jumping ahead and something? Keep talking. I'll let you know if you made him stick. Alright. When did you get information from? I was... Maybe it's just coming back to me. But part of what... I was just talking to Billy. You weren't talking to Billy. You were talking to Billy. But maybe it's part of the vision that I saw linked with my dagger. I'm going to get a dagger vision. Right. Based on the conversation that he ever tried to be. What in God's name are you talking about? If you have something to tell me about the patient, tell me because the guy's going to die. But that envision... Involved John. Billy and John. They have nothing to do with Tony. And directly it's only to do with Tony. Tony got blown up. How is he infected with anything other than, well, metal? It doesn't. Tony has the body parts of a wolf. He has the Iba. The Empire is charged by him. He's got more than that. He's got claws. He's got claws. He won his head. And his claws. Okay. Again. He's not that. What does he have to do with him? Well, what did Billy say? What is he in fact? No, no. That's not what he said. It's what I saw. And the idea is that if there's morals involved, that's bad news, guys. It should be eradicated and eliminated before the threat. Or more of a threat. They're a threat. So you think Tony's... I'm confused. Are you saying Tony's a werewolf? Is that what you're saying? He's... I don't know yet. I need to find that out. But I suspect that if you were to... If he's got claws, he's got that subgrafted onto him. That's not good, right? Maybe you were. Don't you have stuff wrapped in him? What? Yeah, stuff wrapped in him. Of course you don't. He's the doctor. He has harvest marks. That's all. David, show him a doctor. I'm really confused. I knew what you're saying here. I understand that Tony has... Literally what? What? Could be werewolf parts. That's fine. How is that an infection? Those are implanted by a human. Yeah, well that means... I mean that's something that you don't... Apparently he's been fine with them without any symptoms. The reason he's dying is because he was in a building that exploded. Pretty much standing next to the hospital. Well first of all, no, that's not true. That's not true. He's stable. Surgery went fine. In an emergency room, he will recover. He will recover. Good thing you took him out. He will recover from abombles at point blank range. I'm a good doctor. Yes, he will. But he's not human. But there's something wrong with him. And... Now you're going to stop now with patient confidentiality? I mean, I don't know what it is. Is there some HIPAA agreement you can't read? Yes. No, I don't know what's wrong with him. I cannot tell you what's wrong with him. And do you think it has something to do with the werewolf parts? No, I don't. Not you, him. Michael. If he's got werewolf parts, that's bad news. That's an entirely different subject. Yes, they killed John because he had werewolf parts. Yeah. Are you saying ponies in danger because he has werewolf parts and werewolves will kill him? Or are you saying that the werewolf parts are doing something? That is exactly the reason why Billy killed John. I gave you two examples. They can't beat exactly. Pick one of them. How you did? I just did. That is the reason why Billy killed John being here was that he had those werewolf parts. And he doesn't like people that use his body parts. I got that. That's not an infection. All right, so I use the wrong word. This is an infection. What's an infection? That's why I made it. How do you know it's an infection if you don't know what's wrong with him? Because it has all the symptoms of an infection. Exactly. The temperature raising, the blood, the white count going up, all the doctor things that he's going to say. Right. So just because you use needles, does that mean you're a doctor? Look, look, all I'm going to say is Tony, we got to do something with Tony. Because right now, they think I pulled Tony out of the hospital dead. That's what everybody's going to tell them. Everything went infectious disease at the hospital. I pulled Tony out dead. That's all that they know is in the hospital. So you know, you were now carrying an infectious. Of course. He's a corpse. Well, no, he looks like a corpse. He's only mostly dead. He's only mostly dead. All right. What? How could we not getting full disclosure for me, doctor? Full disclosure? You want full disclosure? Yes. Full disclosure. I've got to kill him and take him the whiskey island and chop his head off and his arms off and hand him over to somebody else and get money for it. That's what I've got to do. Now that is clear, but I thought like you're answering to a different authority than we're answering to. And I think that's, that's not how it works in the field, is it? Right. Because I don't think that that would. And I agree with you 100%, so what I did was risk my career, lied to my fellow professionals, fake his death, put him in an ambulance, throw out the ambulance, guys and take him here. I potentially did a lie. Well, so what do you want me to do now? I would be like to be on the side of the equation. I know. You're going to bed over and pet my nails. Don't bring the infectious somewhat like a corpse thing to hear. Okay. I don't think that would be a good idea. I was trying to save the fellow siren. Remember, you wanted to do the same for you. Let's get Sister Katie out here and see what she told me. She can't. Well, she said none. What do you think she's going to say? Like I say, what? I've got the power of God. I think this is a mistake on two different levels. What's the option? And you thought it was a mistake to let the world live. We don't know either. What? I'm not wrong. We've got the answer. You're going to be tomorrow's meal for it. That's my problem. Well, not yet. So, I still think we can use you as bait the trap and kill him, but that's a whole different strategy. Yeah. I can see your scenario taking me out. Please, Michael. We've got our rules for what to do with unconscious infected members from now on. Because you may be that person, okay? Well, then we might very well be true, but I think... Okay, well, we can't just save him. Katie, get over here. Katie comes over and says... I'm going to do a fucking one. He looks really bad. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Were you sure that? I'm going to play Katie tonight. Okay. I'm just saying, bring something that you know to be highly infectious and dangerous. I'll go, Michael. I'm just simply saying that. No options just to bring him here for us to save him or to kill him. Is he cheering in artifacts? Because otherwise I don't want to see him. You come back to your room if you wanted, hi. We're saving a fellow member. That's another question I don't want to save him. In fact, maybe my action is trying to save him from apparently a fate worse than death. This is why you want to save, why you want to kill him to save him from that fate worse than death. See my logic? No. If it's worse than death, you want to kill him. Oh, Bill. Yes, I don't necessarily agree. I just think it's not very prudent to bring a... Contagious. You've got it. You've got it. Okay. Katie wants to know, he looks like when she comes out, he looks dead. Right. Oh, yeah, that's just her turn. He's not really dead. He's not really dead. He's not really dead. So you don't want me to raise him from the dead. Or a tie to him. No, no, no. You don't want you to raise him from the dead. He's not powerful. I could raise him from the dead. I imagine that you can, but he's not dead, so that's not going to work. Unless, of course, we kill him and then you're petitive. But he looks like he's dead. He put some medicine in him to make him look like he's dead. Oh, you... He looks like he's dead. Right. So you want me to heal him? What we believe is an infection of some sort, and it's causing a high fever. You're going to tell her all this. Love, love, love. You're right. I could try to put my hands on him and his skin. There's something wrong with him. I don't know what it is. And it's only dead. That's what's wrong with him. Yeah, it's dead. Follow along, Katie. I put him in this coma. Do you be able to transport? Yes. But then, if I have to transport him over to the other place, then he's not dead. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah, but what do you want to do? Make that place none in the official hospital. She starts pouring in Latin. And she's holding a cross that she has around her neck. She's holding it. She's repeating some words in Latin. And she puts a hand on his chest. If I can help you for just a second, I might go suggest that Billy told him that perhaps it had something to do with werewolves and lycanthropy. But I don't know that. And I also don't believe in it. So do your best. Nothing you can do. You can hurt him. I think you need to take control of this situation. Okay, now that he's here and in with enormous reach. You need to, you know, sorry, doctor. I'm going to talk right in front of you. He's a wild gun. Yeah. This guy's dealing with people that we've already had a very specific conversation with Tate about what to do and what not to do in this type of situation. Correct? We work for siren. No one else. And remember the, remember the zombie chewing you got for giving up a body? Yes. And now we have another body. My ass still hurts. Sorry. The siren really is getting quite well. Chiron wants him dead. They want Tony dead and they want his body parts. Dr. Lucius is here with Tony's still alive trying to save him. He's following my orders. Correct. And there isn't. I would total honesty here. There is a little bit of self-interest. Hi. My own self. I was never in a something otherwise. Special pilot protest. Oh, you're that guy and I grew up by that now. You're a GS-12. So she prised her teens. In Latin has a hand on his chest. Can I give her my faith and support? No. Okay. And no more than she could conjure up your drugs. But can the doctor be more specific on the contagion factor? Nope. She looks at him. Are we wearing masks or gloves at all? Are you in your room? I sent you to your room. He comes to in a sense of being mostly, you know, he went from groaning to like kind of coughing and spitting and drooling out a set of a mouth and his charts are looking, you know, like the regimes that he's hooked up to are being, you know, kind of a couple of them go off. But some of them are kicking back on like he's coming back to life. His vitals. Thank you. His vitals. Don't look great. But, you know, she definitely brought him out of the induced coma that Lucius put him into. He checked on to see if he's doing better. And she mutters underneath her breath. That should have went better. So you brought him halfway back. He's, there's something wrong with him. Everybody knows that. Is, is he still all burn victimy? Oh my God. Yeah. He's, that's not contagious. Don't worry. No, but I'm just saying. Is he, she says that's the prayers to the war. I mean, she doesn't know why it's not working. She prayed the same way she always prays. And do you think that what is much less is limiting the signal to God? That's just crazy. That's the look that most of us say. Everybody knows. I, there's something, it should have worked better. There's something wrong with him. I don't know what it is, but there's something wrong with him. He had surgery. Has anyone ever, she scratches her, her head a little bit. What's a knife away, Michael? And, she's like, has anybody had any, any problems? Have you had any problems healing or, or feeling good or, or, if there have been any problems with anybody that you know of? Well, since I've been 19, I haven't really actually felt very good about myself. Right. No, no. I understand what the point is. Recently, since this whole crazy stuff started happening, I mean, I'm assuming that you guys all had relatively normal childhoods, but I'm speaking specifically to his situation right now. Something's happened to him. Yeah. There's something, yeah, there's something wrong with him. Is there anyone else that there was something wrong with? Well, that means something going on. First of all, for the last 24 hours, none of us have virtually stepped at all. So imagine we're all feeling like shit. Anyways. Sure. Even I'm tired. Right. Are any of us experiencing more than what we would consider. I let you know if you were exhausted, you're covered in grime and blood and sweat. Wait a second. Is she suggesting something like some type of... Curse. Or spell? Like occult wise? Ah. Have any of you felt any spells? I mean, that's why. Anybody mentioned that you missed her? Sick. That's why I was saying, you know, do we feel and do I think? Well, I think they're under something because they're wearing very rich house insurance. They're not being receptive to my positive and good ideas at all. And I think they kind of formed a K-ball against me and I don't like it at all. Well, let's see what Tony's been involved with that. Let's think back in the last couple of days. What has Tony been involved with that we kind of haven't? Aside from being blown up. There was that. A carbon monoxide attack. He also, the car that came through the front room window, slammed it to Henry, Tony and me. So that's kind of... Well, I think the only thing that changed was... Henry goes upstairs to get his belongings while Tony cases the lower floor, all by himself. Mm-hmm. There's several points as Tony hits Henry up billowing swarm of bees exits from Henry's mouth. Nose and ears. Wait, you know, she took the bees. Did you check for bees? He had surgery. If they had bomb bees, they would have told me. You actually did the second surgery. Oh, I did the second surgery. And you assisted on the first surgery. There you go. If you remember correctly, I know it's been a while. No bees. No bees. And, you know, his heart hit four valves and looked more remote than you don't have any... And he had four stomachs and... Oh, it looked like a dog. It looked like a child heart or anything like that. So, Tony used his powers to convince one of the vagrants to leave the alley. He used his eye too. Oh, that's right. It didn't work. Well, the other one talked... Oh, so he was shot, wasn't it? The other one talked about, out of the guy next to him. He was also shot. Tony? Yes. Graced. Oh, okay, well... Well, when you and I put him in the ambulance, that's when we lost track of him. I don't know what happened between when he was here. It was the building that exploded and got to the hospital. I had no idea. He got him to the hospital. Were you with him? Yeah. Yeah, I was with him. We set him up in one room. We faked him, you know, took him to another room. Got him in the surgery. We stabilized him. You know, he was fine. He's on the road to recovery. Right. We explained all that to Sister Katie. It doesn't sound like anything. You don't have anything wrong with him. You're something wrong with him. Yeah. It seems like he has some kind of something resistant to my help in him. The truth is that your department, is there something that you can maybe take out? Absolutely. Oh, the truth is, he didn't say he was going to sleep. Sister, if we were to talk to somebody, is there somebody nearby or in the town? Am I going to talk to? I am a member of Malia's Maleficarum, which is the witch's hammer, which is a... You're making an ugly Facebook. I'm okay with you. Which is a group sanctioned by papal authority to chase after the evil things in the world, using God's power. My immediate supervisor, Father Benedict, is away from Cleveland right now. He normally is a pastor here at St. Patrick's. But he currently, unfortunately, is away at Malia's Maleficarum business, which is why I got the call from Winston Tate to come and help you that there were some issues that were needing to be addressed after Tony got him. Is that this is one of the evil things that you have to put down? No, I don't get that at all. I get that there's a resistance. There's something within him. There's something going on that he's resistant to my ability to a great degree of my ability to help him. Is there any object on him when he took them out? Or is he just naked and a granny in a town or whatever? Yeah, he's a son of a guy. So there's nothing physical, no object or anything that you notice? Not that I'm aware of. We can check now. Go ahead. Check him, doctor. He does a quick once over and there's nothing to see. Is he conscious now, Tony? Fairly. He's in so much pain that he's really just moaning more than anything else. But he is conscious where he wasn't conscious before he was in a coma with the occasional moan escaping. But now he actually is conscious, but I can get a lot out of him at this point. Well, I've got his stolen ambulance here behind our safe house. That won't make it safe very long and I've got a guy who's supposed to be dead now awake in the back of his ambulance. And, you know, any thoughts on how to resolve the situation would be helpful. Well, you've already rejected the primary thought, which is what? Killing him? Putting him out of his misery. Saving him from a paid worse than death. What is that paid worse than death? I don't know. You won't tell me. Who? You. Why would I know? Well, you know, he's contagious, but you don't know with what? Right. Exactly. You don't know that he's contagious. She just said the same thing. Yeah. I just think it was contagious. Huh? Oh, I made up the contagious part. Thank you. Oh, well, I'll see. That's key information here. I didn't realize that that was part of some total cover story. Yeah. I thought he wasn't contagious. I thought it was the bluff that you used to get out of the house. Yeah. Exactly. I mean, in seriousness, it was a good miscommunication. It wasted, you know, 20 minutes of game time. But, well, I'm not sure what it is. And got us in a sled. Well, it's just, I'm the only one who seems to be carrying that. We've got some type of typhoid Mary coming into this place here. Oh, that's how I got him out of my house, Bill. I guess I'm taking out of the house when I'm into the public domain. All right. Awesome. Hello, Cleveland. I got nothing that can help see curses or, I mean, sister Katie hasn't. She apologizes, but that's not one of the benedictions that she's learned yet from the Lord. What if we did this? I don't know what's wrong with them. Just between us, guys and gal. What if we did this? What if we put him back under? And I drive towards where I'm supposed to be taking him and other siren agents come and stop the ambulance and take him from me. And I report back to Kyron that I couldn't complete my job. Yeah, it's not a bad idea. Why don't we call what's his name and see if he can. Well, this is all. And actually that might work because there's already been a little bit of payback since Kyron has already kind of upstaged just once before. So if siren were to upstaged Kyron, that might be perceived as an action on Tate's part and not necessarily ours. However, let me add one thing to that. It was probably have to take place over the next minute. I love that. And it seems. Thanks for listening to the nights of the night at actual play podcast.
