This episode begins with a death...and gets progressively worse. Listen in as Task Force S.I.R.E.N. struggles to get organized after an ambush that leaves them with a dead body to get rid of (again), a compromised safehouse, and a potentially nasty situation with the furnace in the basement.

KOTN Actual Play Podcast 16: Shit Luck: Ep. 17: "Why am I on Dead Body Detail?"
[Music] Hello and welcome to Night's The Night's actual play podcast. This world of darkness story line is shed hot and was written in run by our storyteller Scott. And now please enjoy chapter seven scene two day old YMI on Dead Body Detail. So this is chapter seven of the world of darkness adventure or story ship lock and I am the storyteller Scott. I'm Greg. I play Dr. Lucius Miles. I am Jim. I play Tony Bonadillo. My name is Tom and I play the character Jay. My name is Bob. I play Chew Park. My name is Mike and I am playing Michael Clay. Before we get into play, just take a moment and thank Eddie Webb for mentioning our podcast on his podcast, the White Wolf vlogcast. Yes, we very much appreciate it. Always nice to get a shout out and very nice to know that Eddie had actually listened to a couple of our podcasts. We are quite honored and hope we haven't abused the rules too much. Alright, so let's start. Another guy Tony kills. You feel flipping away. You think this is a modus? Well, I think you said you got another minute with the examples. He got four successes, not five. You didn't get five. Two very most. Lucius woke you up out of his dead sleep, put you in a poison filled building and said, save the day. Yeah, that's a good point. We did have five combined. Yeah, I'm sorry he died. You lose him right on that right there, right? You had him this close to bringing him back and you lost the heartbeat again and then it flatlined again and he's gone. Which guy was that? The guy shot the shot? It was a guy with the shot. He shot the shot. One syringe. One syringe will be fine. Yeah, you can save that other one. I used it. I didn't know one myself. So, it should be noted that right now. You have to turn that into magic. You know, you two were standing around and the moment of silence is the gentleman slips away, but there's blood everywhere on the floor as these two valuance doctors tried to... Somebody tried to save these lights. One guy is alive. Can I ask right now? What is exactly the thing I can't breathe? We can't breathe because it's carbon monoxide. Yes. Okay, but we can't turn on the light because it's explosive, then it's explosive carbon monoxide. Well, you don't know. Oh, God. It's not like a decree from Storyteller. You can't turn on the light. It was two remembered in a class he took once back at... Where were you? Where did you grow up? Phoenix. Phoenix. So, the Phoenix College show. No. University of Arizona. University of Phoenix online courses. Phoenix campus. He learned that he thinks that carbon monoxide is incredibly flammable, and this entire building is filled with carbon monoxide, so he's telling you not to turn the light on. Okay, so Chew killed this guy. Yes. Chew. Why didn't you let me run outside? Well, 47 dice and got one success. You're blaming it on the 48 dice that Chew took away from you. Buddy, I'm telling you, outside the game, I mean realistically, I am unlucky with these kind of dice. I'm like, I mean... You need to buy your own little bag of ten ciders. Maybe. Because, you know, sometimes when you buy your own, they bond with you or something. I don't know. You know, I got really good success last thing. I didn't even think of it. Roll, but the three rolls before I got nothing, nothing, nothing. Yeah, that was a big part of it, too. I mean, nine dice with you. Zero. I think you got zero, zero, one is how it broke down. But still, nine dice, one success. I mean, we should barely do that. I mean, that's terrible. It wasn't your good unit. So, anyways, the patient died. I'm very sorry to say the security guard, the guy in the security guard, beautiful. He's only focused here. We've got to try to kill us. Die. Well... He was possessed. He was possessed. Well, I don't know. I don't know what these guys are going to kill our buddies. They're still these guys in the car and let somebody drive away. Yeah, I'm here. I mean, she will take them out. I'm already in the car. I'm like, you know. Okay. I got my nicks in there. Michael and I will take them out. You guys... Yeah, I'll... What? I'll be carrying this body in the car. Well, it's my arm. Yeah, right. And my shoulder. Man off. You're taking both to the car. Right. One at a time. Oh. I'll tell you I just won the other one here. One at a time. I'll take care of John and I'll take the bodies out. Two. Make a perception check, please. Minus four. Nope. Just minus one for the darkness. Nope. Not even minus one for the darkness, actually. It's great. I don't know. You can mention I'm still concerned that no cops fill up. I think I need something to roll up. I think I need something to roll up. You're out in. It's a problem. By who? By K or by B? No. K could have called in and had someone else do something that could be supposed to go. I don't know. Oh my. Look at that. Talked over and then suddenly you went somewhere else. Go out, too. You see headlights coming down 26th Street. Headlights. All right. All right. Let's spend the most points on our safe housing. Yeah. Well, let's get this scene completed before we devolve into inter-scene conversation. Inter-scene. Inter-scenes? Very interesting. Um, just how light's coming, guys. You might not want to bring the bodies out quite yet. I don't bring the bodies out quite yet, but we're gonna get you in the kitchen door. All right. And do you know if it's police will have Tony go out there? What are you doing, Jim? I'm bloody. I'm heading. I am going to... Yeah, you're both loose just in Tony has covered in it and you a little bit from his... This is not in the alley. Not much though. I have my hands on arms. 26th Street, which is right head on pretty much. Yeah, it's coming right door to you. I am dashing up to my apartment to change it again. All right. Up the back. Tracking blood throughout. Oh, no. Well, up the stairs and then into your apartment. I'm not tracking anywhere. I'll leave the clothes. I'll run up there. Bear naked if I have to. Okay. Guys, I'm thinking about reading this totally blow up and I think... After we're out of it. I mean, how does that fit into our apartment? Uh, as he drives by, but he like kind of slows down and checks out the car and then continues on to Lorraine Avenue. The terms like Lorraine, which is heading west. Was it a police officer? No. It was just some workers. So it looked like an early morning factory worker cheering for a sec. He turned back right on Lorraine. Correct. He's heading west. Grab the legs. We need it. I grabbed the legs. I grabbed the arms. He grabbed the legs. We carry our body out. We swing it in. Which one? The awake one or the sleeping one? The awake one. First, give me a syringe. No, wake. I'm sorry. The living guy. Like a body. Do you want to, um, drunk body carry it? Sure. Sure. So if you break arms over your shoulders, go down the alley. Get to the car. Open the back door. When he goes in, you grab his syringe. Well, actually, if we're thrown in the back seat, he could just syringe him. Hey, hey, hey. What are we doing with the syringe? What's the syringe? It's called the damper over the damper. It's called the damper over the door. It's a syringe. It's actually garbage men and stuff. We can go down this town alley. Winston Tate told us to do this. Well, I don't give a fuck over to this. This guy is my patient. He ain't sticking shit in him. Let me see what he says. Hey, this guy didn't try to kill you. You're face 10 minutes ago. You're upstairs taking care of him. Hold the car to the back door. Like you're making a delivery. You can just pull the guy in there and sort of walk him down the dam street. Allie's too short. If I was the car, he's not sticking stuff with the car. You get the delivery? Yeah. Well, you get in the garbage truck. That's fine. We're not sticking anything in anybody. Let's go. Body two. This is actually a body. We'll, uh, drunk buddy. Carry in. Whatever. We're gonna bring you to style. We'll throw this one on the floor. All right. Where is Illusius Miles rather than it? He's upstairs trying to help. Look at him. John Beamer. I'm gonna try to inject the, uh... unconscious one. All right. Do you guys need me to make a roll? Let's go with dexterity plus medicine. You ain't good at this? Let's not. Let's go with... Let me just arrange. I just stuck one in my eye. Give me this wrench. Huh? Give me this wrench. He just stuck a syringe in his eye. I bring the second body back and you just hand me this wrench. All right. He's... Plus, he's got gloves on and a mask and a plippin... Go. Is the other body in? Yes. Both bodies are in. One is injected, the other is not. What do you do with the syringes? We're sleeping in the car, right? I thought I had the car. Wait. This... I don't know. Um... Hand me both the syringe. We'll get rid of them. Yeah. Because it has your fingerprints on it, right? Okay. All right. Alright. Nixon on the car and... Nixon on the lights are on. Head off to Luther. Yeah, he's out. Nixon mask on and a big hoodie over his eye. I am not a cropper. Agh. The clock. And then I've been made my way to Lutheran Hospital. Go into service entrance. Actually, I keep the second syringe. I'm probably interested in this. Okay. I wonder what this color is. The emergency entrance is on the front facing 25th and vestry. So what you want to do is you want to kind of park and put on hazards and get the hell out of there. That's exactly what I do. All right. I'd like you to make a stealth plus dexterity roll, please. As you're leaving the vehicle after you turn the hazard on. That was one success. That was a good one. I'm one doctor. Nice job. You slink away from the vehicle. You think you know where the cameras are. You kind of try to pick up where the cameras are at and you stealthfully move away from the vehicle so as not to leave any, you know, impression of where you were or what not. So you leave it on our car. I'm sorry. Go ahead. John. Okay. John back up in the... Can I have light and air? You have no light and you have air though for a change. I got a breath of pressure working upstairs. And there's still plenty of, just for the record, there's still plenty of air kicking, bad air kicking all over is different. Thermostats lead to different heaters and they're filling up these rooms. Would it be safe for us to turn on the heater again? I'd probably blow up the whole day and build it with it. Well, two better factory workers in here. So, I have three successes, John's last little bashing damages. But that was two quarters. Assuming his last bashing. Sure. What? I'll take a look at it. What is the same thing about the heater? Nothing. You can say anything. I said if the building secured is, you know, who's wounded? Are the men alive? Yeah, either shut the heater off of the source in the basement. Just stop this. Yeah, watch out for anything you might have left there as a trap or a guard. You're trying to make it look like an accident that's unlikely, but you have to be careful. We'll turn it off. Might spark something. I was hoping that if you went down there, you might see some evidence gone. You could pick things up and like get vibed from one shit. Maybe you can do that wherever the stem attached is. Yeah, you've got a bloody mess in the kitchen. You've got... My grandpa... Quite a bit around that, dude. Get him out. Let's go. All right. We'll clean that up. All right. I started working on that. What do I do? You can clean up relatively... Because right now, there's not a time constraint on it. So you just get some bleach. You get some cleaner and some water and try again to keep any kind of... You're working in the dark, so it's tough to tell. But you're trying to keep any kind of flammables or... You're not turning on the light to at least not now yet. We have a closed egg. A closed egg would work great. Or a flashlight. Yeah. Not sure, but... Yeah. What a candle. Not good. That would be bad. And open a flammable bed. Oh, that's where that... Boarded spray. We could just... Go to bed. I'll clear the building out real quick. How soon before daylight? It's about... At this time, it's probably about... 4 or 20. You're walking back to you right now. They're cleaning. You're changing some clean clothes. Dr. Lucius stabilized beamer and brought him back to consciousness. Obviously, he's not feeling particularly well, but... I am... He's alive. I want to see if I'm being followed. Until I hear something else, until I know it's going on, I'm going to go to the apartment from my apartment. I'm opening my floor up, turning off heaters, and opening windows in all the apartments. Okay, a lot of the apartments are on the... Yeah. Are closed. Well, put it this way, your door is locked. No, I came out my door. You left it all the way, yeah. Okay. So, then everyone should be open then, because on the second floor... On the second floor, it's you and... Jay. We're the original residents, right? Yes, yes. Third floor is... John Beamer, I think, right? You're fourth floor, right? We're not the front door. So, third floor is beamer and the... Michael, and Michael's door is probably still open at this point, too, because you rescued him and you were up there. Yes. And then the fourth floor is... Chew. Chew. And the common room. Chew. So, and everyone has a key to the common room. Right. So, you can get into every apartment at this point, and start opening windows... Turning off... Turning off... Turning... Turning down thermostats. Yeah. Mine went out, and then I went back into the snowboard, and then I went back out, so just... I'm looking through all the belongings while I'm going through the room, too. Okay. Open around. Chew. That's a cabinet. Right. Yes. What are you open around here? He's going to each room, opening windows, turning down the thermostats so that the heater's no longer kick-on. 'Cause we're in our own place, right? You're in the three levels of condos... Got it. Got it. That's what we're trying to address. Right. They might want to try to take you out of your place, too, so you might want to watch out. Oh. Yeah, we didn't mention this, but we think it might have been the bees. He, like, he clacks into a corpse and they escape. They might have carried the message back to the hive about us, because that's the only time we think we've let it be known that we are investigating this. So we don't think there's a high second thing telepathically. I think Henry... The second time we... The second time we... The first time was... Henry Jacobs. Uh-huh. The second time. The only thing Henry and his bees knew is that we were... Well, that's... The safety and trying to move forward from what I was trying to... They already know where we are, so... Oh, okay. And then he just took... He just bolted and ran from his apartment, and that's when we stopped him in the bees' foodway, and we were trying to jump him and drag him down. Of course, we only said I was going there with him and all of a sudden we all appeared and trying to jump him and take him down, but still, they didn't know what exactly what was going on. But anybody else that we've had contact with doesn't know that we're living in this building and that we're associated here. Yeah, he didn't know we were building... He was the only one that knows that. And he would be of all the people we encountered in this building. It's either because of that or because of the idol. Right. And that's still a possibility. And still, I don't think it would be hard for the bee company to deduce that we all work at here and to come here and ask around or whatever and to find out. How does the bee company know that we even exist? If the bee company and the bee guy have anything to do with each other and they're not foes, but friends are somehow working together. The only one they're going to know about is me and John. I used Google Talk. We were talking to Ethan and they wouldn't be able to figure out who I was just based on that scare telephone call. And then the bee guy came and tried to take Henry out with the car while we were talking to him so they might have known. And it seemed to me it was like right when he was about to, we were really getting into okay, he said we got information that could have been something that could have led on. And as soon as that happened, that's when that car turned around. But Benjamin tried to kill Henry which would make them enemies. Ethan never exploded in bees. He wasn't being controlled by bees. He seemed to be able to control it in a totally different method. And that was the stingers in the fingers. Which I believe came from Benjamin. Right. I was going to jump and let him... This is my fingers! The ones that are being being controlled by the bees seem to be from the bee corporation. So... And they... Benjamin, in my opinion, I think when those bees left his giant mummified corpse and headed back, they took a message with them. Well, it's not a time we were attacked, but I think it's not a time we really loved it. It's known, let it be known unintentionally who we are and where our fingers are. Isn't it true that we were attacked after you guys had... Everybody had gone to the maze. Yeah. That's kind of a... Well, unless there's some magic involved with them tracing us back, yes. And again, that's what Jim or Tony is saying is, out of the maze we took a... And I believe they can control it all. It is sitting right upstairs now in all the carbon monoxide. I did a reading on it. So it might as like it could be... Yeah, it is. But you guys don't think that that's the case. That's not the impression I got it all. Right. It's a device used in a ritual. A very many, many modern things. What's that about? It also has a lot of spiritual... It didn't seem like it was a scrying device when I used my power on it. What's that? The ideal. Not that you picked up on it. Not that I picked up on it. It seems like it was used as part of a ritual. It's good to deal with it. But it had a lot of positive energy associated with it. To get that. It wasn't necessarily an instrument. But again, they came from Benjamin. He could have taken us out when we were at the maze. Be company figures out that Henry is being watched. Be in your career or whatever. So the beach company can never get to hold Henry. But he doesn't die because he's got bees in him. Maybe Benjamin gave him. And then after we... No, it doesn't really make sense. And then after we did... Because then maybe after we took a look at Benjamin's house, all of a sudden more people saw it appear trying to kill us. And remember when we neutralized it? Possibly. The assailants, the bees flew out west towards Carol Street, right? A Carol Street is to the west. That's where the corporation is. And Benjamin's is where? It's actually to the west, too. It's north. It's north. It's north. They flew to the west. Or your court, Bob. We're on the top of the map. Okay. She lives right around the corner. Right? Is that the president of the bee? Meredith Burke, yes. She lives right around the corner for us. That's going to back on our go. I'm borrowed off. Yeah, I don't know when Henry died. But obviously he was dead for a while and controlled by the bees. I'm sorry. What? Wasn't, uh, Henry dead for like three months according to you? Yes. That was his autopsy finding. And my guess is that he was a bee person like these people were died. Well, he was still inhabited by bees and they kept them alive. Thank you. Now, these security guards that we encountered, they were working on this. Well, one of them is now. But when the bees left them, they didn't die, which leads me to believe that they were recently possessed. What security? I'll fit that they have. A price security outfit that they have at the bee corporation, their security. That's all we can check out. We are definitely. I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. Did anybody take the time to die? No. In the chaos of the night, you don't want to take a picture? I did take a picture of them. Of the symbol, right? The security symbol? Of the security guys. Yeah. The face and, you know, upper torso. Sure. So his death three months ago was, I doubt, the coincidence of death was the same time that he started dealing with Benjamin. Sorry. I just thought of this, but, uh, I would have done this anyways. The guy that we actually did save. Yes. I want to kind of do the, uh, weird, you know, the double I empty look on him. How long was that take? Yeah. Because you rushed in and you tried to save him. I know. I'm looking. Then we had a rush. There was some time. The guy that went upstairs and I helped John. Right. And you know what? I don't do it. If it was like a one turn, a three second thing? That's okay. It's really important. I mean, we really wanted to get you to take a look at the bus. I know. But my character wouldn't have done that. He would have wanted to help. What I would have liked to have seen is what you saw while they were. Oh, John. They were head bees. And then what they look like when they're bees a lot of them. That would be cool. It was dead. The one that's lie. He meant aura. Ora. With bees. Ora. Without bees. Right. It's instant. An instant action. Just like that. Action. Did it cost you anything? No. Coffee. No. Is that the wall? I don't have a problem with that, correct? If you think in character, Lucius would have took three seconds. Which is not that much time to, you know, before going up to see John. I mean, you knew John was non-threatening. It's like, you know, like it wasn't. Right. Am I going to be, well, I mean, it'd be pointless if I, if it's, if I might. Is it me possibly hunter for this? No, no. No, I've got to make it. I will need hunter for this. No, I've got to. I mean, I. Me. I am going. But if it's minus one for dark and minus one for breathing, it's. Not going to work. Not going to play. I'm going. I'm going. If I can. Oh, no. Looking for an aura. I don't think you really need the light to, to see someone's aura. Remember, you probably see it better in the darkness. Yeah, I agree. Um, I don't even know. I don't even think it's comfortable. I can still see that minus one. Yeah, it's page one. We're going to go. Well, I'm just going to roll two down. Okay. 187 you said, but it's easier to see in the dark. So you should add a dice. Which versus empathy, which for me gives me. Three. And minus one is two. I was a zero. I have a success. And we're over to an eight. All right. And that gives you. For every success, we're all a hunter. We're all a hunter. You see model shifting colors. Oh, fuck. I always see. No, no. That's every time. That was different. The other one was. Was it cream or something like that? Yeah. He told me. Yeah, cream. Right. Model shifting colors. It's confused. His aura is a confused aura. It used to be something. He's experimenting like in college. Show. He's really confused. Meaning the person's confused. Oh, see, I do have that. See? There it is. He was a. Good. As was hunter. What do you add? No, no. No, no. He was. He was cream. Which was a color that has never been seen before by Dr. Lucious. And he asked HQ and told them about it and hasn't heard back from them yet. Right. HQ as in. I don't know that I actually. HQ as in. I'm sorry. You're a handler. Right. Not HQ. HQ would have been. I think it would have been. It would have been. You feel like such a freaking animal. But lovely Jade. Or Winston. But you didn't call that. That's a lovely Winston. I did not. I did not. Don't be talking bad about Winston. He had a game plan today, baby. He did. He did. He did. Yeah. I mean, he voted the cops. It's probably the most organized thing that's gone. I don't know if I can call. So that's what I like. I have a call. You're working for an organization. How do you know he's the king? When we're running around, I call. Either Tate or. Jade. Jade back with her. And I just asked. Okay, wait a minute. I think. I think it was said earlier that I mentioned it. It's really quick. I think it's very fire. They're the ones who turn the cops away. Or not. You don't get. Wait a minute. You'll call the boss and ask him. You don't get handed. You can call Jade. You do. You only have Jade's number. Jade can get a hold of Winston. It's a chain of command. But Jade says what? I said the cops we figured would have been here. And they sound like they're on the way. And they did not show up. And I wanted to know if you guys did that. Or if somebody else did that. I'll double check with Winston. But I have no recollection of us calling the police up. Okay. I don't think it's safe to be here. Yeah, definitely not spending the night here. I hope not because. Well, I figure at this point, yeah, it's still full of gas. But you probably, you'd move down at this point to the wine bar itself and turn down the thermostats in the wine bar. So for all intents and purposes, the furnaces is, is all. But it's not off. Did I get back to the... There's a... Sorry. Yeah, you got back. There is a stairway in the kitchen weeding down into the sub-basin. I'm sure we got some pledge lights for power outage purposes around the wine bar somewhere. Oh yeah. I'm searching those out in here. Is it the iPhone have a LED? You have to be together to go down into the basin to make sure there's nothing down there. A flash? No, the new one does. Your phones have built-in flashlights or they're relatively weak. Yeah, they're kind of... Or like reading lights, right? It's actually... They're relatively weak. Yeah, in pitch blackness, they're not that weak, actually. But they're not flashlights. They can't give you a direct beam of light. So you, there happens to be five flashlights, doggling enough, in one of the storage cupboards in the kitchen. I make sure I have my piece. It's like one of those things. It's only loaded. Oh! I'm not sure. That I need this next area. A flashlight reloaded. I make sure I have my reloaded revolver. Yeah, my old phone had that. Those things are powerful. Oh my goodness. It's... You know, I got to get the military thing or you got the flashlight. I don't know. Take it to the right. I got it. So, you put a flashlight in one hand and a gun in the other hand. Anyone else? Yeah, I'm going to go down there try to find the gas man in general. I definitely want you to be down there. I'm gunna... What are you carrying? Stay up in the kitchen area. Flashlights, make sure you're in the kitchen area. You might not be a good idea to fire your gun in the monoxide. Wait, are we just going downstairs? They are. They are. The sub-basement where the furnace is. So, I am holstering my gun and pulling out maybe a large something we use. Like a knife. I grab a knife. I sure there's a knife in the kitchen. Who came up at this idea? And you know what? And then I put the knife aside and I say, "I'm going to be closing up to use a knife." I can use a cloth. Why don't you Google it? John goes and use a knife. I did. It's got to be really, really, really high concentrations. You guys would be dead already if you were walking around explosive carbonate. I keep thinking carbon monoxide is what you get after something. Yeah, I mean, that's what comes out of your exhaust. You have to be in high quantities of that to be in the most of the high quantities. I think there was high quantities and that's what we were dying. To be fair, they almost did die. I'm not. Just to let you know. Not saying whether it is or not. Most of us were more than half dead. I was in here. There were half ways of becoming permanently unconscious and slowly slipping into their own dead, angry, or even. I've never heard of a hormone exploding because of carbon monoxide. That's because you need a shit out of it. Natural gas. Natural gas. Yeah, natural gas. Yeah, natural gas. And usually, you have a bunch of plants in the basement. We've got to go out here and find another way to save. Yes. Hey, what are you doing? Crass. Actually, I've only lived here else. I have an idea for that place. Good for defining the gas man. Henry Jacobs, please. Don't shoot unless you have to. Use a knife or something instead. Let's go down. It's clean. All right, so these students clean. Are heading down into the sub-basement. Everyone else is just finishing up cleaning. Wait a minute. The music changed. Wait, do you leave the car here? What did Winston say? Do you leave the car here? Or do you drive? The car is left by the high school. It's been taken care of. It was left at the hospital. Hazards on. We all go, except for these two. I do not go into the parking lot. We go into the hospital. We're in the hospital. Where any cameras can see me in any way, shape, no fault. We are in the back alley. We check in with Jay. We tell her that the car has been delivered and everything's under control. Leaving the crawl flies at minute. We're leaving this location and going to somewhere where we're going to be safer for the moment. All right, end of night. Let's go to the ritz. Why don't we go to Lucius' house? Why don't we go to Lucius' little lavatory? What's key on? Yeah. Let's go. That's safe to me. Finish up in the basement. Good. Okay. So, basically you guys disengage yourself into the alley. Start talking a bit. To Jay catching up like these two go down into the basement. You work your way into the basement. It's a sub-basement, so it's really... Blue rays. It's really low ceilings. You know, six or seven feet high, so it kind of just feels closed in. It's ancient. I mean, it's just really wood pillars holding the... It's for the foundation. You know, wood pillars, basically. Serving is the foundation of this building. And in one of the far corners, you can see the furnace. And with your flashlights, both of you could make a perception check, please. That written down. Any minuses from just the usual, I'm still sick, minus or what? Yeah. Oh, shock. Oh, yeah. This is straight up regular perception. Straight perception minus one because of the holding your breath. Oh, shock, I'm bleeding. Want to go with it? Wait, how much time has passed since... Yeah. Half hour. So how much batching have you done? Two. You get that one batching every 15 minutes, yes. So we got two bands to last you in like a little batching? Yeah. Oh. I took no carbon. I took no carbon. I could turn it. Mine is one because it's still kind of yucky down here. So I got two successes. That's good. Six, nine, two successes. Oh, and you could have used investigation for your... When you use perception checks many times. In this case, you could have used investigation. Oh. What's the perception combination of? So do you remember? Perception is width plus composure. Four. Four. Four. And then I would like you to make a... I successfully turned this into a batch. What's your specialty of demolition underneath? I have weaponry and my specialty weapon tree's explosives. Okay. Hang on, magic. You can make a weapon tree roll, you too. You can make a science if you want. Science or weaponry, whatever, is better for you. I have crafts too. Science plus... Either one of those three, actually. Science crafts or weaponry. Can I flush your wits? Two. I got three successes. Two. If you approach the furnace, you see some anfo attached to a timer attached to the furnace. An anfo is... Amonium nitrate fuel oil. And there's some TNT along with that to blow up the tree. It's the first time. Yeah. And it's got some TNT attached to it and a timer attached to that. You're describing lots of things. I think they're focusing on one, the timer. And what's the timer? What's the timer? The timer. Yeah, the timer's small. It's almost like a wristwatch. You know, just a really small timer. But you can't see it here. I say get out and then I work up and look at it.
