How did I get to Atlanta, I moved to Atlanta from L.A. I got to L.A., I really wasn't supposed to be out there, I was sneaking out there first I was on some probation shit because I was on probation, I wasn't supposed to leave But Brooks and I was out there, so I started going out there And then, like, the labels, we was fucking wet, ended up getting a crib out there for us and everything I have a D.C. deal, I ain't gonna lie to you, like, I'm a D.C. deal and shit So we all ended up moving out there, I ended up moving out there too after I got off probation and shit So I went to Atlanta from that shit, fucking around I can round, turn up in Atlanta, here's the time in Atlanta Yeah, hell yeah, I got some shit with Lucci out there, I ended up doing a lot of shit out there I met, what's the name, Mike Will made it and shit Yeah, I met his ass in L.A., but no, L.A. and Atlanta, them the vibes don't hang on a lot How was it working with Lucci? Solid, it was solid, I did that too, I don't know if y'all are familiar with this producer, OG Parker OG Parker, yeah, yeah, OG Parker used to kick shit heavy, he was producing I think he's still producing doing this shit right now, but a young land on the track, everybody used to be a little different Like, everybody was like, kicking back how we right here, it used to be easy, I think Yack, at the time, he just wrote "Glorilla," that new song she's that, "I ain't got no niggas" He just wrote that, we used to just all be in the studio, fucking around I remember I was in Atlanta, I just had everybody pull up, Yack Z-Money Just a lot of artists and shit just to cook up, but you was able to do shit like that in Atlanta That's really why I went to talk about Atlanta and shit like that too I would say, man, for real, because I ain't no lie, I like Atlanta, but I always went to Atlanta on some party and shit It's got that stereo type with a lot of the bull shit, but Atlanta vat So I don't want to know for real, for real, far, it's like from a Chicago native, like myself, when we go down, we gonna take our Chicago shit down there And they got their Atlanta shit, how would you say you made the transition to where it was a smooth vat? Because at first, I knew it had to be a lot of those You from Chicago crazy, I just remembered how I ended up standing at Atlanta, bro This shit weird as hell, I drove from Chicago to Atlanta to shoot a video with AZ production So after shooting a video, we finna get it back on the road, so we meet my cousin and I'm off the Eway And so I remember getting out the car like I ain't going back to Chicago True story, right off the Eway, we finna pull up, I'm not going back And I stayed in Atlanta, and I ended up meeting my other, today has been like, I mean, now it's like nine, ten years That's why I met my girl out there, so I ended up standing with her while I was getting my shit together We ended up getting a crib together out there Okay, okay, that's what's up I ain't even coming back to Chicago to like, probably two years, two, three years So you ain't turned it back up, today, never gave back Yeah, that's crazy, that got to be in a movie You saying that, like, you know what I mean, you stayed down there in the A That was probably like the best fit for you Do you think it's kind of hard for people to focus and do what they got to do, where they from? And moving to Atlanta was the best thing for you to do, because you think you'll be able to be successful I used to assess for today, staying in Chicago It depends on your strength, it depends on your mindset You get what I'm saying, it depends on how strong are you by yourself as an individual Absolutely You get what I'm saying, because a lot of people would be like, my environment made me I can't do this, because what's around me? It's a lot of things we say is really just excuses I sit, go low all day, plan, get high, go to sleep, execute my plans If I ain't got to do shit, that's like, dealing with, I don't know what the fuck going on out there And I'm what's around me, this is my fucking environment You get what I'm saying? I mean today, right now, but that's not stopping me from coming right here And sitting and talking with y'all, I'm not blaming it on who just got shot or dissing or whatever You know what I'm saying? So what's trying to do back to Chicago, do you feel like Atlanta, you were exhausted at Atlanta enough that you needed? I was in Atlanta, and I got a phone call from one of my guys out here He like, man, I got somebody that want to fuck with you on the music At the time, I wasn't saying to nobody, you know what I'm saying? I had just got out of a situation with me, Drizzy and Brooks We was all under the same contract with somebody So I was one of the last to get out of my contract I actually bought myself out of my deal You know what I'm saying? I ain't gonna lie, now that I'm telling this story I'm actually kind of like, did a lot of raw shit They make you proud of yourself, right? They make you proud of yourself, right? Yeah, they make you proud of yourself So I bought myself out that deal with my advance from the new situation He called me, he like, man, I got somebody I want you to meet in Chicago They fly me back out here because he was from here, you know what I'm saying? So I ended up doing a deal with him He like, man, the city need to make sure you can either make sure your city know you first Come back out here, I really wanted to come back out here anyway He ended up getting me a crib and I think it was Mokina or something like that So I was just put up out there So I was low-key standing out here but still back and forth from Atlanta and shit Like some people really kind of thought I was still in Atlanta the whole time I put up Me and him ended up having a bad like words in Houston where it kind of went It made our relationship go sour So that's what happened, so that was my last situation I think yeah, counted that was my last situation And so the motivation left after that Because you know all this time since Harper I got somebody I can lean on to make sure that this image is of help You get what I'm saying? So at that age now I'm getting knowledge to be able to move and own my own company Now how could I utilize what I learned from him and everybody else I dealt with and build my own So that's how I ended up creating musical genius in court So how did you transition into I want to talk about this movie that's coming up Wanna be in movies and ain't nobody put me in a shit I saw you being my own shit I saw a little clip of it man I saw a few so hot so man y'all not gonna believe me But I've been working on this movie for three years Damn I could believe this three years That's a short film to call What the fuck is that called? I can't remember the name of it But that's a feature film I'm in so I'm in a few feature films Like one with Leon Rogers, one with my acting coach My acting coach is E3 He on power force right now he plays a giraffe right hand So yeah so I got him he so when I meet him I'm like look I want you to help me with my movie This probably like last year So he man I want you to help me with my music I'm nigga I got you Right So the first part of it was structuring the script Because you know I got the script in my nose just a bunch of fucking notes So they don't let you copy and paste this shit So now I have to rewrite the whole fucking script You hear what I'm saying? So I had to rewrite the script You know it was formatted like maybe four different ways before I got to the point where I'm at right now with it No, no, no But that that that I don't know if y'all remember Cayenne, Cayenne Higgins, Caschet, yeah Caschet, old brother But I had his son if you remember the short clip teaser that I put up That's Cayenne's son Look the dread Yeah with the dread, you know Cayenne got killed on the back of the yards Yeah, so I'm trying to make sure I get him in the act and get him going You know what I'm saying? So when you only create this certain type of female at one point in my time I thought that I was only supposed to post professional pictures Professional videos, a female thought that my page was fake That changed my whole outlook I'm like I want people to know I'm a real fucking person I don't want them to think that I'm not That you can't come to see me, you know what I'm saying? So, I'm thinking in my head, I'm like, "The first thought was maybe the left side of the show, the devil cry" Like, "Man, you're probably too busy, you ain't gonna be able to come do that" Then the other side was the angel, like, E3 telling me like, "Man, whatever we say we gonna do, we been doing it" You get what I'm saying? I'm like, "Man, if I need these niggas to show up, they gonna show up" Because I've been that solid individual Only a motherfucker that's gonna break on you, not gonna be there when you need them You get what I'm saying? It was never meant to, you know what I'm saying? So, I want you to get some young actors or inspired rappers, like, some inspirational advice for making it in Chicago Some type of tips on what they're doing to navigate to get to what you're getting Strategize, plan, sit by yourself for 30 days if you got to learn yourself and then show the world who you are If you got a iPhone 9, put the iPhone 9 up, how you look cousin, records, I don't care if you're just sitting there talking I don't care if you're doing your song "A cappella" You get what I'm saying? Damn, you see them results, man No fucking, you know, so it makes you want to do it, you get to going about yourself Six in the morning, nine in your day, now you eating breakfast, you cooking breakfast for your daughter You cooking breakfast, you don't even do this on a record You doing it 'cause you up, you already up, you pump, you hear what I'm saying?
