me he said y'all yes it is you can have something praise God it is good to get to be here we all we love you folks - we got acquainted with most of you a lot of you anyway a bunch of years ago and you're older but I still recognize you well don't don't time make a change in us people talking about being able to been over and tied you shoot man you got to find it first this this this this it's just I don't know times got away but you know love never changes it only gets stronger we we've known brother sister Samson for many years we we I'm glad we got acquainted years ago and like he said we we still have a friendship I I thank the Lord for new friends I appreciate them but I cherish friends that I've had for a long time I've lost some friends and I know what it's like it it it's it agrees you but thank God for some that you turn around you say well I've known them for 30 years there's brother you know what it's brother Samson but we've always called him brother hatch can I tell a little short story can it's related to him kind of back when when he was in Bradford he was helping brother McCormick and I don't know if you remember the day that a bunch of our men from the church came and and helped y'all put trust us up on the church I had I had been praying and asking God to let me travail in prayer I didn't know how to travail in prayer I never had and I'd heard about it and I wanted to I wanted to reach that place in prayer and we had a young a boy I guess you'd say not just probably 14 15 years old he was gonna have surgery and Nashville so I left like 5 30 in the morning to go to be with him and at the hospital excuse me for that surgery and several of the men of the church went to Bradford I know all this is great to you because you don't know if you hadn't been to Tennessee but anyway they went one way I went the other way and they were helping set trusses on brother McCormick's church and on my way to Nashville I was praying in the car and man a spirit of prayer got on me so strong I just went to weeping and groaning from deep down inside I knew I knew when I've done it that I just I just went into travail prayer and it went on and on and on it took me like two hours to get to Nashville but it was probably an hour whatever man it come it was gut wrenching and I knew I knew from all that I'd heard that something just took place somehow some miracle some miraculous thing so I thought what it was probably was that boy that was gonna be operating on I thought when I get to the hospital they gonna say hey he don't need surgery now but I got the hospital and they cut him open and done the surgery then I drove about an hour or so back to brother McCormick's church in Bradford Tennessee and when I when I drove up and got out some of our men from the church come running out there to me and they said man you ain't gonna believe what happened Nelson Nelson at that time was in his 60s and he was he's real tall and skinny he's just like a pole like I wish I could be while they were setting up the trusses the truck jerked one of the trusses out from under him and he fell 14 foot and hit concrete on his back and never broke a bone it never knocked him out they got up and ran and told me said you're not gonna believe what happened said man he fell he fell 14 foot and hit on his back and bounced off of that concrete and he's up there working right now didn't do nothing to him and when when they said that I knew I knew what had happened hey he ain't changed folks God is the same do you remember that brother Hatch you was there that day wasn't you he was kind of stoved up for a few minutes and kind of knocked a breath out of him but in a few minutes he got up went back to work wow wow I thank God he's been good he's been good to us for a long time you know what I like to go back there a few times that's that's a good place to be folks when you go there God's gonna he's done something or gonna do something and it's exciting it's exciting I love it so much thank you for that wonderful room that we slept so good last night in with a belly full of catfish oh man it was good it was good and thank you for the basket that we've done got into it I'm kind of like brother parts junior of course he's a whole lot bigger than I am but he said I got that basket he said they had my favorite food in it and he paused and he said food so we're enjoying that we're just having a good time you know I love what I see it's buildings beautiful on my way up here brother caulkin common he said elder he said they they've been in revival and have 11 people got the Holy Ghost at seven or eight been baptized I'm so excited I'm so excited I thank God for that it ain't over yet it ain't over yet it ain't over yet there'll be somebody get the Holy Ghost probably the day the Lord comes probably well until he comes somebody's gonna get gonna get this salvation hey and it ain't over yet today could be your time why not today man I don't know a better way to start this day than than receive a whole I don't have to preach today you can you if you want it you can have it right now it's here it's here amen it's it's good to see our young neighbor she just sit back down but I'm known her since she was a little girl - besides these Samsonites that suitcases in it well I go places and I see I see young people that I'm known since they were kids and that makes me feel older because I am older I don't have much time left but I tell you what I'm gonna do I'm gonna spend every minute of it for the Lord I've just about made it home and I ain't about to give up they can go worship Beow if they want to but I don't found me a Jehovah that meets Abraham need I've got God why you're standing for me to read I want to tell you brothers are he's a missionary in Baruch living on he may have been here great great man he's over there he's from there but he married a woman from over here but they're over there doing missionary work and doing a great work for God he's he's one Muslims Muslims are difficult to win they have they have a guy they call Allah and he said he he was witnessing to this woman and one her to the Lord she got the Holy Ghost and she stood to testify and she said I've lived for Allah for years I've prayed for Allah I've prayed to Allah many many times Allah never answered one prayer said I prayed to Jesus one time and he answered me hey I'm gonna stay with this this works praise God Hebrews chapter 11 I love this chapter I'm not sting you if anybody needs a drink of water just come up here and get it just don't spit back in the bottle that's all Hebrews 11 I love the whole chapter but I'm not gonna read it all verse eight and nine by faith Abraham when he was called to go out into a place which he should have to receive for an inheritance obeyed and he went out not knowing whether he went by faith he's so journeyed the land of promise as in a strange country dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob and heirs with him or the heirs with him of the same promise I need to pray God we thank you for the opportunity today to get to be here thank you Lord for your mercy for your people or my people too I need you help today Lord I need you help today Lord thank you thank you thank you Jesus name praise the Lord you can be seated if you'd like to man I feel I feel no no they got to have attitude about it did I remember where I got this message I was on interstate 24 the other side of Nashville and I was supposed to preach a conference and I couldn't get nothing it would not come no bells was ringing nothing falling it wasn't nothing coming and I'm praying and I'm driving and I'm saying I was going to pick up some flooring for the church Jim and I and I I hit the right note I said God you Abraham I said when you told Abraham to leave you told him what to do I said I don't know what to do you you're gonna and man he let the scripture come to me and I won't I'm gonna share it with you today Abraham Abraham went out not knowing I want to I want to talk about not knowing today my poor wife she hears me over and over and over I love my wife 54 years wow I was ugly then and I'm uglier now and she still loves me I appreciate her so much she goes with me everywhere she's shy timid and has to put up with me and and she she'll never get up here and help me never she she will not she will not oh god the word not knowing it it expresses absolute denial when you don't know you've been denied you it's it's hard to this is this is one of the hardest things that I have had to walk with God is not knowing and I'll show you I hope I can anyway 24 years ago I'll give an example approximately 24 years ago when you felt God call you to do what you're doing right now and you went to the house and started church with a handful of people you never dreamed you had no knowledge of what was going to take place you don't know whether it's going to last a month or if God's gonna put his hand in this and it's going to turn out to be something God will withhold that knowledge from us he'll deny us that because God said that just y'all walk by faith and not by sight if you see it why do you yet hope for it this is this is my term is you won't find it in a Bible like this but in the verse one he said now faith is a substance of things hoped for you've all heard that so many times you can quote it faith is a substance of things hoped for I said hope is faith food if you don't have hope you don't have faith hope comes first when you lose hope you lose faith when you get the hope then praise God faith what's the difference faith is what you do hope is what you desire but faith makes you do it you do whatever you got to do to make it happen brother you know what God would have messed you up if he if he just said brother Sampson which he wouldn't call you that he just said Kelly I tell you what I'm going to do son I'm going to take you and I'm going to do this and dust and dust and you're going to wind that up over a neo show on that road and you're going to build a huge building and I'm going to fill it full of people and the Holy Ghost is different it is now he said that they uh this preacher in his family was praying and God told him to go to a place and uh man they had they wasn't praying and the gifts of spirit got to moving and told him what to do and they jumped up and said let's go and and the dad said no no the Holy Ghost told me to wait 30 days and it said 30 days he said go he said no I'm to wait okay so they waited and prayed and fast didn't 30 days later they went into this town and there was a Methodist church in that town and he was a circuit writer it was the only church in that town and and prior to that he had been there and so what it was he had been there like the week before and God knew that that's where it was going to be so he said wait and and just as soon as he left they went in there and they started having church and the next time the circuit writer come his whole congregation had the Holy Ghost been baptized in Jesus name because God knows just exactly what to do and when to do it and how to do it come on now we're always running against things that we don't know what to do we don't know what to do build an altar and pray and just say God I'm not moving until you tell me or till you show me what to do and he will he will a day at a time a day at a time a prayer meeting at a time oh whoa Abraham is 75 years old and Sarah's 65 and God said I'm elblivin I'm gonna give you a son we've always won this son the only problem is I hold him to play and Sarah's gone through the change of life that's an easy way of putting it because we all go through changes in life so he goes home I'm like just let me be he goes home he said Sarah you ain't gonna believe what God told me said well I might try me said you're gonna have a baby I just got on social security I just got my Medicaid yeah he may have weighed 12 pounds when he was born who knows man I don't know and Sarah 90 years old you see what I'm talking about I don't know but he does he's never missed he's never missed it never missed it never missed it not one time he hadn't even come close to missing he's always right on time he's never late when they accused him said if you'd have been here four days ago that man that you love it in that in that tomb would be alive and you know what he said I'm gonna pray but not for my sake but for your sake last let's come forward it was for the glory of God folks oh had we known if we knew if we knew you's gonna do that we wouldn't worry if you'd waited a month but we didn't know we didn't know we didn't know there's bone her eyes out God said I know I know well you know what Abraham took his bunch and they went out and it was a short while when they first got to Canaan I don't know how long it took them to get there but when they got there people started looking at them and called them nomads and souljourners and everything of pilgrims and strangers wow and then a famine come God you didn't tell me it was gonna be a famine you called it a land of promise you called it a land of milk and honey we're milking honey float and we're in a famine he messed up during the famine anybody ever felt like you messed up and you know come up short for God I've done it so many times I'm I'm ashamed Abraham went to Egypt for help and he almost lost his wife and I'm just hitting high points almost lost his wife and God just stepped in there with mercy and he said to that king said you touch that woman you touch that woman and I'm telling you and he got all tore up he said Abraham why didn't you tell me that was your wife and stood to your sister oh God you didn't tell me we was going to run into that I wouldn't win if I'd have know that you know what a lot of the things it happens if we knew what we were going through we could not get the courage to do it and we'd say get somebody else lord I just don't think I've hey I've been through some storms and you have too I've been through a storm when I looked and I said God if you don't move I'm not going to make it and I don't want to quit there's nothing out there that I want to go to but I just feel overwhelmed and I can't make it and you know what he done he just slipped right in there put his arms around me and he squeezed me a little bit and I felt peace come yes yes yes we can't do it we can because he said I'll never leave you lord for shake you but I'm with you I'll go with you all the way all the way all the way whoa oh on and on and on my my my people I know people look at this way and and to them it's I don't know if I could live this way you couldn't live this way neither could we if it wasn't for God he he does it for us wow he didn't know that in a little while they were gonna have problems in the family and that his nephews gonna have to go one way and we're gonna have to go another way this is the last of my family I mean my dad's gone my brother's gone and we've left the country here we are now my brother's fixing my brother uh my brother's son my nephew's fixing leave me there's gonna be a division it's hard to go through family division I know what I'm talking about you'll cry you'll weep you'll mourn your fast you'll pray and you'll say God help us through this and you know what God I help you through it praise God brother hatch I think of you often I've mentioned you so many times son when I was preaching that when you got in church your wife said if you do I'm leaving and you know what she left and he's still here if you had known that would have been difficult but God took your hand one day at a time that he led you we can do it we can do it I don't know what you're going through but I know him that does know he knows you by name when he climbed under that tree since Zacchaeus or Zacchaeus Abraham how you want you come down son I'm going home with you today nobody knew he was up that tree Jesus did and knew his name he knows where you're at right now elderly pastor died he when he died the kids put his put their mother in a nursing home in a thorough state from where they were that's bad she don't know nobody no church and she's sitting in a wheelchair in that room or in a chair she's looking out the window and it's dark and blooming it's raining until the winter time everything's dead and she's sitting there praying and she's crying and weeping and she made a statement I wonder if God even knows where I'm at you ever been there God do you even know where I'm at I know that's foolish but that's that's a thought that's that's our flesh you know day or so maybe the next day or the next day whatever they were taking a group of them in a van to the grocery store to buy by things she might have been an assistant living I don't know what she was something like that she got in the van went to the grocery store and when she was pushing her buggy around the house she forgot about that you know the rain's over and but there was a black man that she met in the aisle he was going one way and she was going the other way and he spoke to her as he could tell you know that she was a apostolic there's something about us there's something about us and he went on past her and when he got to the end of the aisle and was fixing to turn God spoke to him and he turned around he said hey sister never seen her before in his life said God told me to tell you he knows exactly where you're at come out folks when I when I don't know he does know you know what some of you want you want to live for God and you're trying to make a turnaround you can't do that by yourself it's good that you're trying God sees that but do the rest of it turn to him build you an altar and ask God help me help me the rest of the way Lord and he will he'll come to you he'll come to you and he'll help you make all the decisions you need to do and give you strength to do it oh God oh God so Abraham when Locke chose he chose the plain that had all the water and the grass for his sheep and Abraham looked and he thought all I got left is I don't know then God made a statement to a bewildered man a man that looked and felt hopeless at the present he said I am thy great and exceeding reward I am all you need me Abraham as long as you got me you've got everything you'll ever need in him we're complete in him we're full oh lord we don't lack any you know what he said his disciples out and he went and sent them out he said don't you take no script don't take no cloak don't take no extra this no extra that and then just before he ascended he said when I sent you out he said did you lack anything you didn't have no money did you lack anything did you won't know when you get there well that may be true in logic but I'm going to tell you something God's greater than logic God's got a way of letting us know even though we did not know until we pasture was empty and he had 5,000 camels he's got 10,000 camels where he had 500 yoke of oxen now he's got a thousand yoke of oxen where he had 500 donkeys he's got got a thousand I'll never dream this yeah but joe I had to prove to the devil that there was somebody that loved me when they didn't have anything and everything was God and you know what he never gave the devil no credit when he took everything from him he didn't say the devil took it away he said the Lord give it and the Lord took it away because the devil can't take nothing from us without God permission him hey man he can't go whether it's our health or whether it's our finance or whether it's the church or whatever it is he can't take it unless God allows him and if God allows him there's a purpose and a reason and I'm going to give God all the credit and the glory and he fell down in my ashes he said blessed be blessed be the name of the Lord my my my just a few minutes a 17 year old boy wow 17 year old boy God gave him a dream hell you son that's what I thought close to it you imagine God giving you a dream too old how that he was going to exalt you to a level to where all men would bow before you that's kingship that's high up he's young please don't take offense him he's like the rest of us when we were 17 young and dumb you were there I stayed there for many years maybe when I turned I'm just fixing to turn 73 so maybe I'll get out of it just a few weeks he got so excited he told his dream to his brothers and they hated him and they were jealous of him and they said let's kill him God no you can't kill him that's my boy so they were going to kill him and and I think it was Ruben the oldest one said no no no no let's let's don't they put him in a pit and then we'll decide you know and they put him in a pit and he was going to get him back to dad but it was Judah that said let's sell him into the islamites came by and they sold him to a band of islamites for 20 pieces of silver and and they took him in 17 years old 17 years old I lost my parents I lost my my family I lost my country he's gone down into Egypt he's in Egypt and he stands on that auction block and they start the auction and a guy bought him and took him home made a slave serving out of him and he'd done his best he'd done his best and by doing his best wherever God put you he excelled and when he saw that God had prospered him when the man what was his name was it name but checking to see if you know because I forgot he promoted him to be or he said you're over everything that I have except my companion everything and y'all know the story so I got to cut it short she lied on him and they put him in prison and they put him in prison I may have done something wrong with it put on my account I for my pastor's wife for the for the church I pray and I say God I thank you for your people and I almost always say they're my people too the people of God is my family and because because he done his best God promoted him and it went along to the jail keeper he said man it's this this guy special you can trust him he'll hey he let him be over all that years went by years went by you know that that was called a dungeon it's dark it's damp it's cold it didn't get that didn't get to clean up like that like too it was it was a mess you ate what they sent it was difficult it was difficult I wonder how many times he thought about his dream I mean you know there's some things you don't know but when you get something from God you know it come from God you hold on to God I don't know what this means I don't know when this is going to come past but I know this is what you said after 20 years 20 years Pharaoh had a dream I'm bypassing all that other stuff and the baker said I remember a man in prison two years ago that told me in the baker our butler excuse me told told us our dream said he's a Hebrew and said he can interpret it he's got the spirit of God in him they brought Joseph up and Joseph man he began to he began to interpretate that dream and when he did Pharaoh said who in the world could be better than you I mean he's standing there telling what what you need to do you're going to have seven years of plenty and you need you need to start storing it up and then stored up for the seven years of famine it's coming he said there's nobody no better you're going to be the governor the governor was the number two person in the in the kingdom and this is what Pharaoh said nobody about me unless you're with me man that's putting it out there folks 20 years ago God haven't thought of Joseph in 15 years he's dead but now probably whatever Joseph's got on Egyptian clothes and he acts like an Egyptian he's the second ruler in the kingdom and they come and he gives them a hard time your spies he ought to give them a hard time thank god it's time for you to read what I'm fixing the soul you know what he didn't do it out of a wicked heart I can prove that just God sent me to preserve life it wasn't you God used you but it really wasn't you it was God all the time I didn't know it I couldn't know it I did not know until I saw you guys come in the room and I denied so in just a few days he went AWOL or maybe the next day or whatever he went AWOL trying to worm his way back home to be with his wife he didn't make it far they called him he was summoned to the he was arrested he was summoned to the captain's tent if I'm if that's who the superior was and he is sitting there and the soldier walks in and he stands at attention and he salutes his superior and he stands that way he don't he stands there I know I'm sorry soldier I don't know how to be one but he was and he pulls the paper out and he reads to him and he said private so-and-so because you forsake the army and you were you betrayed he read him all that he said you're to be shot tomorrow that sunrise unto death and he stood there and he's stealing attention and he said yes sir he said I deserve his sir was quiet the captain put the paper down and picked up another paper he said private this paper tells me that you've been forgiven he started shaking he lost his form and he fell on the floor weeping forgiveness is so powerful it's so powerful so powerful don't hold a grudge forgive one another even as Christ for your sake has forgave us stand with me lord of mercy lord of mercy if I had known if I had known but but God said I don't want you to know I want you to trust me I want you to walk with me and let me be let me be what I want you to be then when it's all over and we this one and God blessed that one and God promoted this one and God promoted but I couldn't see it then but I can see it now go ahead and see us sing I'm done the oh
