Hey, anyone new that is joining us for the first time? We appreciate you being here. My name's Adam and that's Ken. Yeah, we're expecting some new listeners this week because we are in the Go Fest season. We did our live episode last week from New York City in Harlem. That was awesome. That was absolutely awesome. Super fun. Super great. We didn't have any breaks whatsoever right in the Go Fest global. And here we are. So we have plenty to talk about. I'm sure our bodies are a little beaten and battered and beat up for us. For sure. Honestly, I think more like the wallets. The wallets. The wallet. Yo, JT valor in the chat. What up nerd? Valor's in here. Oh, and so is JCPix havoc band. I was going to say, I didn't even think I was playing here. I didn't even think I was playing here. I don't think I was playing Pokemon Go anymore. What's going on? What's going on? No, we got plenty to talk about, man. We'll talk about our bruised and battered feet and all that good stuff and wallets and all that fun stuff, but we'll recap global Go Fest and the back-to-back week thing. I don't think I'd like to do this again. I think I'd like some time in between events. I'm even lucky because I didn't have to travel to New York City because I live an hour away. So it was no big deal for me, but I could only imagine if I had to travel extra day of traveling, missing an extra day of work maybe, and then right in the Go Fest global, man, it was just it was just a lot. It was it was a lot. Yeah. And with Go Fest wrapping up, that means the ultra unlocks are on their way. So we'll kind of break down everything that we know about what's really think we weren't going to get these ultra unlocks. No, we do it every time. We know we know this is because we do it every time. Ultra unlock one is called better together, brings a Pokemon debut and free timed research. I know we are better together, Ken. We are. Ultra unlock two is strength of steel. It brings a new shiny. And then finally ultra unlock three is mega raid day, which was going to be pretty popular with the trainers. I'd imagine. Don't forget this weekend is time to go community day. So you'll be able to you won't be able to fully relax. You know, it's not like it's just go go go go. Mega requires elite raids are coming back for their make good and many in the community are still calling for elite raids to never come back. We'll talk about it. And then finally, we're raising conversation about remote raids and how some of the game's hardcore most hardcore raiders were actually banned for unusual activity for raiding like the mad people that they are. So we'll talk about all that good stuff. But let's let's get caught up. I haven't talked to you since global this weekend. So tell me, did you get to play? Were you working and how'd your how'd your weekend go? So we went out for breakfast Saturday morning. The original plan was to go see you, but I just I literally just couldn't fathom it. It was a lot, man. Yeah, it was I would have to have Ashen get in the car with me and drive five hours to and from and like to have him sit in the car for 10 hours just doesn't seem fun. And plus he said he wanted to go to breakfast and wanted to try a new place. So we did that. We had had family time at the beginning. And then from there, we went to our downtown area and we hit as many raids as possible, utilizing Chanel's hot spot for him. So he could actually play alongside dad. Was your weekend raid based? Was it really like it was it was a lot of raids. It was a lot of raids. And then, you know, he got sad because nobody was inviting him to raids. And yeah, I think he still has the two remote raid passes that he bought or I did, you know, but it was like, he's like that just nobody's sending me them. And I'm like, I'm so sorry. Well, you should have said to the community, add him before the day of. So people. Yes, I know. I know. But I didn't I didn't really think that he wasn't spinning stops while we were out. He just was catching nonstop and then realized that all of the polls that I had helped him get for the past couple of days are all gone. I'm like, I'm like, I opened a bunch of gifts for you. And he's like, yeah, but I only have like 40 pokeballs. I was like, oh, man, it's not much fun. I'm sorry. So that was one of the other things worth talking about coming out of Gofest, New York City. You know, I had hyped up like you guys better stock up. You know, you better you better go into the event with with crazy balls. You know, I went in with 4,000 ultra balls, 16 or 1700 poke balls. And definitely ripped through the poke balls like crazy, even with spinning everywhere in the city, constantly having the go plus on, you know, overnight's in the hotel. You know, yeah, that was nice. Yeah, there was like four or five stops that were always learned up. I didn't even have a chance to put down a lure because they were always learned up. I think I only use like three or four lures the entire weekend because everything was was already hit up. But having, you know, people survived Gofest, New York with their with whatever balls they brought in. And then it's like lo and behold, you've got Gofest global and you're like, oh, yeah, I didn't have any, I didn't even have a chance to like fully restock. So for the first time in a long time, I went through all of my poke balls on hand. Hell no, I'm not buying any poke balls. I did not go through all my poke balls. I will say that I totally did. And that's a terrible feeling because I want to be able to go plus plus while I'm raiding. So took a little bit of manipulation, backing out, going, you know, just the spinning stops, not recognizing Pokemon or going to ultra great balls and doing the manual catch things. So a little bit of a manual labor required. I wish the football is to go plus plus. I wish that had more fluency, like it just worked better. I don't think it works bad. It's just, I wish you didn't have to go into 43 levels of menus to like change things. Yeah, it just, it just doesn't recognize things as fast as I'd like. Let me press and hold on the go plus plus button, the icon and a little like wheel comes up where I could just select what I want to do with it. You know what I mean? Like that would be nice. It would just up quick pop up, not like, you know, menu settings, advanced, you know, connected devices, go plus plus. It's just, it's so annoying. It kind of breaks the immersion for me. My favorite moment of Go Fest New York was when I forgot my go plus plus and you're like, oh, I have a spare go plus. And it just, and, and everybody around us must have had one or something like identifying as identifying as many as it possibly could. And I was like, I don't know which one. Let's hope this one works. And it was like, no, disconnect. Try this one. Being able to name the device would be pretty cool. Like if you could name the device, so that that's definitely some feedback that I that I've pushed up. Just a quick reminder, we are streaming this live on a bunch of different platforms. We'll do a quick rundown of GoFest Global. We had Necrozma, of course, and Saturday was all about raiding Ultra Beasts. Sunday was all about raiding the actual fusions. So I think this was the main takeaway that I can give feedback is that Necrozma should not have been in any raids on Saturday, on Saturday, on Saturday. It should have only been on Sunday. When you had to face Don wings and dust main because I was so burnt out from doing Necrozma raids, people were sending me them and I'm like, I don't even care about the energy at this point. I literally don't. I just stopped raiding. I was like, I think I did two or three and was like, that no, I was waiting for other Ultra Beasts. I was like, I need more. I still need the shiny zirketree. I still need the shiny buzz. Oh, no, I think I got the buzz. I think I got all the other shinies, but I was like, I'm after the zirketree because I have the 100%. I really want to get those extra large candies and they were nowhere to be found. And I was like, this is such a waste of time. Every raid is Necrozma. I don't care if it's dust main. It just didn't matter. It was just like, come on. Well, I agree with you. I had absolutely no desire to do Necrozma on Saturday, knowing that you couldn't even get any fusion energy until Sunday. So I was, it was difficult to not do them because the group, the kids, you know, they all want to do the Necrozma. So it was like, I was doing them, but I was like, it's like, it doesn't feel right. Like I'm burning passes here. And Ashton saw Don wings and dust main and was like, over the moon, like, no way. But again, it lost its luster when he's like, oh, it's just Necrozma. Like even he had that having band that goes Adam, that's a paid player complaint, aka user error, it's free to play players that were grateful for the extra Necrozma. It's like, look, man, those those extra those free passes were amazing. But I wasn't, I wasn't spending them on Necrozma on Saturday. I was trying to get the Ultra B shinies. How'd you feel about the shiny rate? Shiny rates seemed low, man. I got a shiny and Ashton got a shiny his first Necrozma. It was Dexter entry as the shiny. Oh, that's legit. That's he was, he was so stoked. Like he had such a great time. He was, he was just thrilled to be able to play. All right. No, that's awesome. That's awesome. But he was devastated that he didn't have enough stardust to, to trade me an Necrozma. That's all he wanted. He was like, I don't want to trade anything else. I just wanted an Necrozma. We just didn't have stardust. So I was like, dude, you got to play. You got to open the game and catch Pokemon. I was like, that's how you get stardust. And he's like, yeah, but I don't understand. He's like, how much does it cause? I was like, you don't have it. Just be like, get good, bro. I can't say that to him. No, but, but it was nice that the first Necrozma raid we did together, because it took us a while to find an Necrozma raid, but we found one. The first one we did, he pulled out the shiny. He's like, no way. It was, it was, it was like a proud dad moment. He just felt really good. So that's all I cared about. Yeah. Sunday was all about the fusions though, which was a pretty exciting game to finally get our hands on some fusion energy and, and all that good stuff. I mean, if you were sleeping under a rock and you didn't get the free promo codes that Pokemon Go was sharing through their Instagram, it was like a hundred energy. It was 200 of each energy. It wasn't even that, that like, significant. Well, how much do you need for the fusion? You need a Gino. You need a thousand. Oh, okay. Yeah. So it helps, you know, I mean, everything helps, but there's no additional way to gather fusion energy, you have to wait for them to come back to raids. It's not like a mega where you can walk it for mega energy or walk it for candy. There's no way to do it. Oh, that's another mistake there. So hopefully either they're going to be more common in raids going forward, or there'll be some way walking, buddy, something to allow us to get more energy, but very interesting adventure effects. Sun, steel, strike, and moon guys beam animations definitely look awesome for both of these. In my opinion, not really the most exciting adventure effect, just making it, you know, sunny out and sun-based bonds and sun-based evolutions or moon-based evolutions, you know, that kind of thing. I don't know. It works like an incense. I'd rather kind of use an incense. That way you're at least attracting the current Pokemon. Otherwise, every time you use sun, steel, strike, you're going to be seeing piggies and young goose and hilly uptile, you know, like it's a very limited pool for it not to rotate with the times. However, the rock rough, you know, the dust form rock roughs, I mean, there is a good little grind in there, but I don't know. I don't think that I'd be using this as opposed to something else. I don't know. Kramer, thank you so much for the follow. Appreciate you. I'm not too excited about these these adventure effects. You know, through New York, through global, I was running Palkia, the entire time blew through serious amounts of candy, serious amounts of stardust. I didn't care. I was, you know, stacking 10, 12 hours of it every morning. This unlocks playability for players who, you know, work all day in the morning and they work every single day and they just don't have time to dedicate to the game and they can play hardcore at night, but as if they were during the day. So I think it's cool. I don't think it's practical for me, but I can see it being useful to other trainers. Yeah, JT valor in the chat saying very lackluster effects should have been like the daily incense and had something exclusive in the spawns. I agree. That would be cool. That way there's like a chase. I mean, is the rock rough a chase? Kinda, but like I already have a zillion of them. It's not like I'm gonna, you know, come across a Galarian bird or something like that. Like if they put like a real chase in there or something exclusive, that would have been, that would have been really cool. But I had an absolute blast during global. We had some crappy weather on Sunday. So we had a really solid group in Red Bank, New Jersey. We started with about 30 or 40. And then through the day, we probably had about 150 trainers come through town over the course of the day. And at one point, we had about 100 at together, which was really cool. So it was a massive, massive group, like just kind of marching through town. Then the storms kind of rolled in. So we have this Bell works, which is where they film that Apple show severance, fun fact. But there's a really nice indoor spot that we go to whenever there's inclement weather. So we kind of five minutes before the rain hit gotten the cars jumped over to Bell works, which is like 10, 15 minutes away and rode the event out there. And no one said anything. They weren't like, Hey, this is too big of a crowd to be walking through here. No, well, we, when we ended up going over to Bell works, we probably lost, you know, the herd was culled by about half. So we didn't have like the full group. Once we got there. But, but there's still plenty of room in Bell works. It's an indoor spot, but it's, there's more room than we would need. I did about 100 fusion, the Cosmo raids on, on Sunday, which is definitely a lot for me. You know, I kind of threw caution in the wind with, with spending and bought a ton of coins. You know, there was that really nice like storage upgrade box that you could buy three of that came with some raid passes. You could buy three in the web store or three in the in-game store. So I kind of took advantage of that. Yeah, that was really nice. Bought a bunch of coins and just rated, rated, rated. I don't know how I managed it, but I ended up with three Hyundai Necrozma, which I've already brought up for all three of them. You know what? Let me pull it up on the phone. Come on, man. Of course, you know, you know, you know what I got. Well, I guess, I guess two of them would pull up on the phone for the video viewers right here. So I've, so I have, you know, the dust main at level 50, the dawn, whatever. And then I've got my regular one that wears it. Here he is, fully maxed out. And I'm still sitting on 2900 solar fusion energy and 3200 lunar fusion energy, but having these things for raids is amazing. Like the moon guy's beam is legit in, in raids. So couldn't believe it when I was, when I got the two Hundos on one day, I got one in New York and then two, two during global. So that was really cool. RR Kramer says would have been nice to sneak a new gen eight Pokemon in the shiny and it's shiny for global go fest. Yeah, you know, the spawn pool kind of, I don't know, I don't know if did they want to make this a raid heavy event, because the spawns that and the Saturday was the day to play. Super exciting. And then Sunday was just like, it felt like there was no spawns. You had to use incense to get spawns. It felt like, I missed the unknowns. Yeah. You know what I mean? I was raiding all day. Like it was, it was all about raids and you know, the go plus was, I would come out of a raid and look in my inventory. What are they catch? You know, while I was raiding, it's like, I don't get me wrong. I had a blast raiding, but it was definitely a different vibe. It felt like a different vibe than like a tour or go fest over the past, because I wasn't focused on just hand catch, hand catch, hand catch. It was a little bit of a different vibe, but we definitely want to hear how everybody did. Let us know, you know, send us a tag us on social, post your best catches, all that stuff we want to see. Sippy Osane in the chat. Jango was the new, the new shiny for go fest global, which is a damn good looking shiny. And I did not pick up one of those as well. I got it from like they weren't spawning really, but they were spawning in raids. It's a great looking shiny. Yeah. Great, great, great looking shiny, super, super cool. Have that for the next, but I only got one. I only got one. Overall, loved go fest. Yeah, New York was a blast. Loved global. Even though it was hot, it was still a blast. I'm just sad. I didn't get to see everyone. We saw, I saw J.T. Veller when we were we were on the scoot, like the go cart going by, but I never saw him after that. Yeah, exactly. Well, this is what we were talking about. We even did like a poll on Twitter of like, what was your favorite city? Chicago, New York, Seattle for the US Go Fests and Chicago ended up winning. And the one thing I really loved about Chicago is just because of the nature of the layout of the park being a giant rectangle, everything was easy to navigate to and everyone was in one spot. I felt like no matter what in New York, the entire crowd is cut in half for the park experience. So if you had an opposing schedule to your friends or your community, you may go the whole day without seeing them at all. And that's a, that's a total bummer. Like I was totally bummed out about that. So it was nice in Chicago, even Seattle, I just don't like the layout of Randall's Island. So we were kind of talking like, what do we think? Where is it going to be? Where is 25 going to be? Will this be New York again? I wouldn't mind, you know, it going back to Chicago, but people were saying Nashville, I think Nashville would be a really cool place, awesome, different vibe for Nightlife. But then we brought up city safaris and safari zones and how amazing like Philly safari zone was because it was in October. And how much more enjoyable this game is to play outside when it's not 95 degrees out. Like if New York, if it was 75 degrees in New York City during Go Fest, it would have been like the greatest event of all time. Because it was disgustingly hot and humid. Like, you know, we, we do it for the, you know, to, for the love of the game, right? But under normal circumstances, we're not going to spend 12 hours outside, not at all, five degree human heat, you know, no way. But and like the subways were so hot, like Philly, it's like some train had a seat. Some did not waiting down in the just get that nice, beautiful aromas of the of the subway. Oh, that fresh sense. All good. It's all good. Yes, yes. In the chat, they're saying that was perfect in Philly. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. It was it was amazing. But the ultra unlock is the fruit of our labor over at Go Fest Global. We absolutely destroyed all of the bonuses and all that kind of stuff. So it was a lot of fun doing that. But again, because you're raiding, you're stuck in the raid screen all the time. So you don't really see what's going on around you. You don't really see the challenges like, yeah, this is where you don't have the and then all of a sudden it's like, oh, if you don't have the Go Plus, the Go Plus Plus or the Pokeball Plus, it really stinks to not have something catching for you. Yeah. Well, I felt the anxiety coming off of your body when you were without the Go Plus Plus for like, that was that was our whole session. Yeah, I just felt like it wasn't until I met up with Chanel that she like, it was really like gave it to. I was like, oh my gosh. Oh, I want to call out one thing. You shiesters. So during our our meet and greet at the notable trader tent, shout to Niantic for hooking us up and getting us there and all that good stuff. We raffled off three Go Plus Plus's. And on the final day, we actually were able to meet the person they were still in the park when we pulled the ticket. So we were able to like, take pictures and hand it off in person didn't have to ship it or anything like that. It was really, really nice. And the next day, I get a message through Patreon, which was weird, like through our Patreon saying like, hi, I won one of the Go Plus Plus's. Here's my photo of the ticket. And it's the ticket, the number of the ticket of the one that we verified in person and gave the person the Go Plus Plus. And I'm like, yo, all right. So either they're in coats, or there's some something sus going on here, like real bad. So I reach out to the winner, he's like, yeah, I still got the ticket set me another picture. I was like, all right, dude, I know we verified you in person. You're all good. So I kind of put up a little bit of a resistance to this person on Patreon, like, yo, how is this possible? I've already verified that someone won this. And then they kind of like talked back for a little bit and then went away. And I was like, all right, so that was, that was fake. Two days later, I get another message. This one on Twitter, hi, I won the Go Plus Plus, they sent the same photo as that person that messaged me on Patreon. So there had to have been like a Google image of like a red raffle ticket of that number that people were just like, I was like, you Shasty, like what's wrong with you people, man, come on, we're supposed to be Pokemon traders, love in life and be a positive and honest. Wow, that's, I was like, you guys trying to, trying to dog me for a Go Plus Plus. Shame on you. That's why I didn't realize that cheese. Anyway, yeah, dude, I was like, you got to be kidding me. I was like, we've already like, literally verified this in person and gave the thing out like, ridiculous, ridiculous. Anyways, the ultra unlocks are the fruits of our labor over Go Fest Global. And we have three of them that are going to be coming over the next two weeks, I guess, yeah, over the next two weeks or so, with the first one being better together, this is pretty cool. So this is going to be running from the 17th to the 22nd Pokemon debut tandem house, the couple Pokemon and Moshold, the family Pokemon will make their Pokemon go debut. This is going to be an interesting one to see how they do this. We probably won't know exactly until I guess more data comes out of how the evolutions are going to be working with this, with their rate, because in the main series game, when you evolve tandem house up, there's like a 99% chance of the family version of Moshold being four and a 1% chance of the family version being a three family. So I don't know if that data is really coming out wild. So we'll definitely have to see. Yeah, because so it is a split evolution. So if you're if you're going for the full, you know, alternate form kind of thing, you know, we'll have to pay attention to that. It's like these times like this, you really miss self science, right? Yeah. But the event bonuses for the next couple of days, quadruple catch XP. It's ridiculous. Put that, put that lucky egg down and just go off double catch candy and friendship levels will increase at twice the rate. So if people were like a stalemating you or sandbagging you with your friendship, open their gift and show them what's up. Flip that friendship over wild encounters. Nothing too crazy here, Vulpix, Alolan Vulpix. It's like Pokemon that have like different versions, Diglett, Alolan, Diglett, Meowth, Alolan, Meowth, Glary and Meowth, Execute, Whooper, Pal day and Whooper, a bunch of cool stuff in here. Clink. Have you seen a tandem house? I have not. I have not either. But okay. Well, you got to look, pay attention here, man, because they are not in the spawn pool. So if you look in the raids, you have a one star Hasuian Growleth, Alolan Grimer, an unknown B and T with their shiny release. So if you want that shiny for unknown B and T, got to rate it in star and one stars. I think I already have to see. In Tiflosian, Samirate and Decidua Shiny. Yeah. In three stars, Field Research, Slowpoke, Glary and Slowpoke, Voltorbs, Coffee, Combi, Dara Maka, Glary and Vanellite, Dino and Tanda Mouse. Tanda Mouse in Research. So all right. Go for it. You know how like this this season, we didn't have the monthly ticket. Remember two seasons ago was like here by this $15 three month ticket or $5 for every month. And then they're like, okay, now by this one, it lasts three months. And then we didn't have like tickets this month. Well, they dropped a ticket on us. And it's an interesting one. This is the shared skies grow together ticket. Have you kind of like looked into this yet at all? It definitely interesting came out today. Trainers will be able to purchase the grow together ticket for the latest season of Pokemon go shared skies with the growth together ticket trainers will receive five times XP for the first Pokemon first, polka stop spin of the day until the end of the season. And trainers can also expand their experience with premium timed research, which reward premium. Yeah. Look, it's a paid ticket. We just have to be ready for it. However, this is one of those things that when you buy it, the opportunity lasts until the end of the season. Oh, well, here you go. You get a tandem house. This is how you get one for free or four, three, four, nine, three, four, nine, four, nine, yeah, three, nine, three, four, nine, three, four, nine, three. People are already and I heard this at Gofest, New York, starting to prep for mega metagross. So they were like, oh, Beldums, give me some Beldums. Here we got Beldum in research. You know, get some good good IVs and prep and get that Hondo start building it up. I've got some Hondo metagross. So I'm ready. Nice. Free timed research collection challenges, poke stop showcases, web store bundles, all that good stuff. It's a new shiny event with old Pokemon. We've talked about this plenty. Are shinies content? I don't know. I don't know if they are, but when they release them, I mean, it's something to talk about. Yeah, I missed the days when it was like a surprise. It would just be like, whoa, I just kind of, I just, I just, what is this? Is this real? Remember when like, there was no blogs from Niantic, we would have to get all our information from Reddit and Go Hub and all that stuff. And I remember like being like, Hey, all of the news this week is coming from Niantic's website, like from Pokemon Go Live. It was like a big deal. But finally, the third ultra unlock, I probably the most exciting for a lot of people is going to be mega Lucario ultra unlock raid day, which is Saturday, July 27th, 11am to 5pm mega Lucario, making its Pokemon Go debut mega Lucario more more frequently in raids feel like I've done a lot of raids. Yeah, but this is mega Lucario, dude. One and a half XP from raid battles, increased shiny chance for Lucario. It would have been really nice if they put riolu like around here with some increased shiny chances to feature an attack will know the fast attack force palm. So that's pretty cool. Web star avatar item really cool looking mask for Lucario, but a $5 event ticket, eight additional raid passes from spinning gyms, increased chance to get candy rare candy XL that that feels that feels bad right there increased chance increased chance. What are the exact numbers? You're getting one guarantee you get yeah, but you get one guaranteed rare can all I see what you're saying you're paying and you don't know what yeah yeah that's that's the question mark. Yeah, that's not okay. Yeah, triple XP from raids double Stardust from raids. Yeah, I see that I can see that I can see that but can you can you sound like you're defending it the when you play for free you get five raid passes from spinning if you buy the ticket you get an additional eight so 13 plus two you can have for free one from the previous day one from the current day 15 raids over a six hour period that's pretty good day of raiding. That's for five bucks. That is pretty good. I'm not going to lie. Yeah, so not too bad, but I know that this is going to be a good one and mega Lucario is just a really good looking Pokemon. It also says please note that the ticket will only be available in the in-game shop until Saturday July 27th at 5 p.m. local time. Yeah, so you'll be able to buy that ticket up till the end of the event just be wary because if it's 4 30 p.m. and well the by the ticket you're not going to be able to take advantage of. Well, the event ends at 10 p.m. No, the Lucario raid day ends at five. It says these bonuses. These bonuses will be in effect. That's terrible. Why just take it out. Well, the the remote raid limit is going to be up. It's because like I guess to give Pacific time it'll let you do remote raids while the rest of the world is finishing out the event. But remote raid limit increased to 20 and we're going to talk about this at the end of the show, the whole remote raid thing because definitely a lot of conversations to be had about how Niantic handled the remote raid limit during New York and then opening up completely during global. Yeah, I feel like I did a money spent. A lot of raids. A lot of raids. Yeah, dude. I did. I did a ton of raids. An absolute. I was able to power up Necrozmann two seconds. Yeah, I just had all those excels. I still have tons of excels, which makes no sense. But I used I used some rare candy excel and either like four rare candy excel to power up my third. Undone across with a level 50 like that flex. So I use a couple of rare candy. Oh, and one more thing before we take a break, don't forget Tynemo community day is this weekend. Sunday, July 21st, two to five. Volt switch is the move that Electros will learn. One dollar ticket. It's quarter hatch distance. I always think this is like the most lame bonus for a community day. Quarter hatch distance with eggs, because I've got a free incubator, patches, no, you go into the event and then it's like the stuff that you want, like charcadet and stuff out of 10 Ks. Even if you go into the event with a bunch of 10 Ks after that initial wave of eggs, you're just getting two Ks. And it's like, yeah, you could turn them over quickly. But it's like, okay, another two K Pokemon, another two K Pokemon. It's not, it's not terribly, terribly exciting. Bonus raid battles will be around all that good stuff. Time research, field research, the usual suspects. But Tynemo was was kind of like a wishy washy kind of thing. Only because like, I don't think people were expecting this. Like, I don't feed gyms. I just feed my golden raspberries to my buddies. And so I had been getting it down to like a two digit number. I was getting so close to 50. That was kind of my goal. And now I'm at 400 now. I'm just kind of like, Oh God, I'm like, why? What am I going to do with all these berries? So I guess, I guess I might like actually be swapping my buddies around every day just to shovel golden raspberries into their mouths and get them out of my inventory. But I was just curious what your numbers are because I'm just curious they're higher lower. That's all piece saying. Yeah, I feel like I have the same problem. So I have like just ridiculous bag space. I still haven't recovered from my poke balls. I'm only at 753 poke balls. But the berry thing, I've I've fed berries all day today. And I'm still at like, you know, I still have like over well, you know, creep it on 2000 total berries. It's absolutely ridiculous. But these golden rasp, I usually only use golden rasp on like my buddy heart, you know, so it's easier. But I'm going to have to do something. I'm going to have to do something with those golden rasp because it's just that's just too many. Yeah, because I mean, I'm basically just using them for my buddies because I I learned in New York that you can't just feed a couple. You just you want to save time. So you just I forget who said that. But I agree. They were just that was me. That was you. Okay, I don't wish you said you can't wait times. I don't want to have to. Yeah, three berries takes like like an extra 10 seconds. Like I need that 10 seconds back. Yeah. And honestly, it's made all the difference. I'm back in the game. I'm ready to go. Yeah. Alright, pulling up a niantic support tweet real quick. Here we go. Trainers due to issues affecting elite raids featuring mega requires a special global makeup event will be held for all trainers on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at 1 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time. More details to be shared on. Oh, good. Is that is that a Saturday? It is a Saturday. So one and six. So they're not doing four elite raid cycles like they did during the fuller elite raid day. They're just doing two, one and six that will make things a little bit easier to plan. Hopefully the eggs, you know, they better clarify when they give more info on the blog, like is this going to be a six a.m. eggs thing like they did last time, like to, you know, because that was crazy for coordination. But it was typically the APAC region, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, they always get the the short end of the stick and they got really, you know, beat up during elite raids. I was thinking that the make good was only going to be for the affected areas, but instead they're giving it to everyone kind of probably because a lot of people are sour on elite raids. They want more people to have the chance to do it. And I just want to give some post feedback here on the elite raids because as much as we talk about them and as much as people have strong feelings against elite raids, the fact of the matter is the communities that are on top of community development and coordination thrive in the elite raid format. Now, does that mean that every community is going to have a blast? Does it mean that rural trainers are going to be able to do this? No, but elite raids kind of personify the way this game is supposed to be played in public, outside with people. And it requires a significant amount of coordination. You got to do a lot of planning. You got to do a route. Like if it's one thing, if you're like, Oh, we're going to meet here at 12 o'clock. We'll do one raid and everyone goes home. But that's not how it goes down. You want to try to get in as many raids as possible. You got to plan a route, a lot of coordination. In my opinion, that's what separates an elite trainer from a not only trainer. And in my opinion, I just don't do elite raids. But if you lived in Red Bank and you had a huge group, wouldn't you be doing elite raids? I'd be inclined. I'd be more inclined to go out, not a huge group. You had four friends. If you had four friends, three friends, listen, saying I have one friend. I mean, that's accurate because you're on the podcast with me. No, I'm just kidding. I have a lot of friends. Adam, you and Justin, New Jersey on August 3rd. You should come to New Jersey on August 3rd. That's when you should come. That's when you should come because then we could do some some crazy elite raids on those days. Let's do it. And then it would be like an intervention. You'd have to try to convince me that. Well, I'm telling you, at the end of the day, you're sitting looking at your inventory going like, Oh, I got unlimited mega energy right now. And I got 10 shinies and blah, blah, blah, you'd be like, all right, I'm in. I'm in. Let me see here. Let me see. So the make good stuff. If you look in the comments, and this is a very, very highly viewed Niantic support tweet here, that might be a four hundred and seventy three thousand views. But if you look through the comments here, which could be dangerous here doing this on Twitter live, but if you look through the comments, the bulk of the people are just saying, like, look, thanks for doing this. But why don't you just scrap elite raids should have been in regular raids should have been this should have been that anything but elite raids. It's like, what will it take? Is it possible for the community to come around on this? And again, it's not my community, because when I go out, we have a huge crowd and everyone's having a good time. But it's online. People hate it. And they want to be able to remote these things. And they're also the same people that complain about remote raids. So that makes things so much fun to talk about, because they want to be able to remote raid, but then they don't like the cost of remote raids. They don't like the limits set on remote raids. They're giving increased limits of remote raids, and they're like, Oh, well, now it's a money grab or now you're taking advantage of me or I just stop complaining at this point, you know, because like, it just means you're you're you're gated. You can't do as many as you want. So like, okay, that's as many as you can do. But if elite raids were remoteable, would you do them? Probably. Yeah, right. Yes. Okay. So I think what the community's beef with elite raids is, is not the fact that they're limited raids, not the fact that they only spawn at certain times in certain locations. It's simply the fact that you can't remote them. And for me, what makes them exclusive is the fact that you can't remote them. So I think if well, like a normal workday for me, I'd be working from 10 to six. So even if they were at one and six PM, I would never be able to make one. But if I bring back the conversation, the plan to do you need to have everything though, I don't I don't and I'm okay with not having a hoopa. Yeah, but you're you're you may be okay, but a lot of people are not okay. They want it all like for Grooke assault, the Schnauzberries taste like schnauz. You guys know what schnauzberries are? Google that. I thought it was a schnauzberry schnauzberry. So it's interesting that they're coming back. I'm glad they're doing it as a global make good and not just an APAC make good. Although APAC does deserve much, much more like a makeup week where they just have like all this crazy stuff for a whole week. Maybe that increases people to go fly over there and make content because they did this. You know what I mean? Like that would be insane. Aren't they still owed a community day from like five years ago? Yeah, there's a lot like and it's it's it's sad, but it's like, come on, give a give a makeup week and just be like, listen, yeah, all of your eggs are half attached distance. All of your XP is doubled. All your stardust is doubled. Just like makeup week, like just enjoy the game. Play with friends. Yeah, like two free free raid passes instead of one or whatever it is. All right. Well, just saying this bring this brings up another interesting topic that came across this weekend with global and with the remote raid pass cap completely lifted and you know, allowing like the whales of the game to like truly be whales. We had something interesting happen and I'm going to pull up a tweet here. TRDF 53 Noel, good friend of the show from New York City. It says free hang PJs, free Vantee, free Angela Tini. Nice to help. These are your champions that are getting flagged and falsely banned. Please fix ASAP. So it's pretty funny because I got Vantee on my friends list and I had posted when he was at 840 raids and this is because there was a global challenge. So you can see how many people, how many raids are being done on your friends list. I posted it in a discord. I was like, you know, you guys think you're raiding a lot. Check out Vantee's got 840. But TRD here puts up a image showing hang PJs 973 raids during the challenge. Wow. And I'd imagine most of these are remote. That's an expensive weekend of raiding. That's a very expensive weekend of raiding. But if we scroll down a little bit further and look at hang PJs tweet, you can see that they were banned and it says we have detected unusual activity from your account. As a result, temporary limitations have been placed on your play. So the most hardcore of hardcore trainers, these typically aren't the mob of pitchforks and torches on Twitter. These are the true core whales of the game that play. I've played with some hardcore players like this and I can't keep up like these. It's like another level, another style of gaming that most people are not ready for. And does this affect a lot of trainers? No, but it's very interesting when they remove the limit and then punish the people that go for it. So I think there was a total of like six or seven hours where they were out of the game. And then it went back, it came back, their accounts came back like eight p.m. that night or something like that. But what an absolute like bummer to think that you can go off and raid like a maniac and then just get banned for it. Like that's a bad look. That's a total bad look. And again, this has to be automated detection systems saying like, Hey, we see here, you're based in California, but you've now done, you know, 800, 900 in Australia raids today. Right. And I guess that's what flagged it. But why should that be a flag if it's well within the parameters of what I don't know, it's this is that balancing acts between and then what kind of make up then what kind of makeup do they do for somebody like this where this is happening and they're out of the game for that long. Yeah, but the thing is it affected a handful of trainers in the world. There's yeah, but I meant for them, like if they have all these remote raid passes and they're raiding and doing all the stuff, it's like you took that valuable time away from them. That's not okay. How do you make that music is the one that gets punished? Yes, I know, but like how? I guess that's the bigger question. How do they get punished? What can you do? Who is giving the slap on the wrist? That's if these are remotes, right, which we have to assume the majority of them are, you could only carry three, five passes at a time. So it's not like they had inventory that they couldn't burn during those hours because you could only hold three or five at a time. So that's not an issue. But the fact that, oh, Havoc Bandit in the chat said, maybe they capped at 999, they got the ban hammer. I don't know because they received the ban before they hit 999. I just don't, I don't, again, this is that balance between the human humanity of security and the automation of security. There's no way to police 87 million trainers by hand, by human, by manual, you need automation. But when the automation flags stuff like this, and it takes hours for them to fix, like maybe there should be some kind of system in place where when they notice this type of unusual activity, it gets escalated to a person. And then the person can look at it and be like, Hey, let's make a decision. Instead, it was like all the trainers, like, you know, tagging and posting and tagging and posting. And you know, I sent messages internally, I was like, yo, this is this is crazy. It's just an interesting thing. I don't know what they can do for these trainers. I don't know what they can do to prevent this from happening again in the future. So I don't know. I don't know. I spent a lot of money on raids this weekend. I can't imagine the amount of money invested in this game for that weekend alone from these trainers. Like, these are true, true whales. Yes. Yeah. So I'm like, I'm like looking at mine. I got like two people on my friends. We all do different things. We all do different things. But I don't know. I don't know. But Adam, that's that's a show.
