June is definitely not the calm before the GO Fest storm as we have had non stop events like Spelunker’s Cove and Scorching Steps. We take a look at what makes these events tick and how we can tell the difference between a filler event and an event that actually has substance. The 8th Anniversary Event looks to be a much needed step in the right direction, bringing a comprehensive lineup of bonuses and features. One thing that has been missing from our game screens lately, is new Pokémon in the wild.

Mega Rayquaza is coming back at the end of the month and the Community is still salty about Elite Raids. While the majority on social are clambering against the Elite Raid decision, in-person communities are already planning to have an amazing day of Raiding with their Communities. The differences between actual IRL Communities and those that virtue signal for them on Twitter is more clear than ever. While Elite Raids are far from being universally loved, it still asks the question of how do you make this game difficult and how can you keep things exclusive?

Michael Steranka sat with Tom Phillips of Eurogamer and discussed some of the most relevant topics in the Community zeitgeist. While it was refreshing to hear questions being asked that matter to the Community, Steranka did often play the PR card and didn’t divulge much, leading to an overall feeling of, “We are working on it”, as a response to every question that was asked. Niantic has asked us to have faith in the process before, but this time the Community is more demanding than ever.

Finally we wrap things up with a Raid Guide and Battle Party for Mega Rayquaza! Ice is all you need to worry about here and it will make sense to support that with a Mega of your own. We look to both GO Hub and Pokébattler for tips on what to bring.

Let's get into the show. What's going on Pokémon Go Trainers? Welcome to Episode 310 of the Lord Up Podcast, where we take Pokémon Go way more seriously than we do ourselves. Lord Up is part of the Pokémon Professor Network, and today's Thursday, June 20th, 2024, and this episode is streaming live on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. Thank you so much. If you are here, we've got some early birds in the chat. Shout out to Omega Specs here up in the chat first thing. It's so great to have you. Appreciate it. Wow. I'm Ken Pestator. That's Adam Tuttle. Yeah, they're getting an early search. Hey, everyone. It's pretty nice. Thank you. What's up? I'm doing all right. It's the deal. Yeah? Did a lot of ice cream today. Did a lot of ice cream. I ate some ice cream today. I ate some ice cream. It's probably not as good as the ice cream. I made, I mean, I'm biased, you know? We have Nicholas Creamery here at the Jersey Shore, and gosh darn it, it's pretty good, man. Okay, all right. It makes small batch ice creams in-house. I make small batch ice cream in-house. It's phenomenal. It's phenomenal. Well, how was your week, man? How's it going? Did you get to play? Did you have to get out? Probably played a little bit less. The summer schedule has certainly taken over. It is now full swing for us. Is it hot by you? It is very hot. We have had two days straight of heat warnings, and at like 2 or 3 p.m., both days, like the whole power grid shut down up in LaConia. It was pretty wild. What's the hottest it gets by you during summer months? A hundred. A hundred typically would be- All right. Like today was like 90-something. It was pretty close to a hundred. There was a heat warning, you know, for the past two days. We even got like a voluntary like, "Hey, don't use your water so much." It's really hot outside thing from the water company. So it's- Oh, that's nice. Yeah. Yeah. It's a little bit crazy, but this definitely impacts the way people play Pokemon Go. The one thing with the immersion of this game is you have to be outside. In the winter months, that makes it really tough with the snow and all that, and with the summer months. It makes it really hard with all the heat and stuff, and the sun. It could be brutal. You know, I'm a little spoiled because I have an indoor option to play. So it's a little easier for me on the days where it's just like overwhelmingly hot. We can go inside and play indoors and have AC and all that kind of stuff. So we're pretty spoiled, but I know for a lot of people it's especially, you know, closer to the equator, you know, that two to five community day window is pretty pretty cool. Yeah. I would suggest find them all. There might only be a couple of stops, but at least you'll have spawns for sure. Yeah. If you have them all, you could definitely find things to fill with stops. There should be nominal excuses. I think at my malls, like the motorized trucks and stuff. Those are playgrounds. Yeah. It's a playground area. It's nice. Yeah. That's the way to do it. But we got plenty to talk about on today's show. We're going to recap the last week of gameplay, including Spelunkers Cove and we'll prep for Scorching Steps, which is up next. India and Indonesia are getting a month long event to celebrate Horizons on Netflix. That's pretty cool. India and Indonesia are both massive, massive emerging markets. You know, they had benefit of wayfarer challenges that the game board has been really developed in those areas. So shout out to those areas we get a lot of love from India. So it's really cool. Crazy to think, but Pokemon Go has been here for eight years and the anniversary of events coming up and it's bringing party hat Pokemon. Yay. Yeah. Yeah. Social media response to mega requests in elite raids is continuing to degrade. And to celebrate, Niantic has released a blog detailing all the details that people don't want to hear because they don't want to do elite raids for mega requests, but it is what it is. We have additional details about Go Fest in New York City for us, including our plans for the weekend. So we'll talk about that kind of stuff, including our New York state of grind on Saturday. That's going to be a ton of fun. We can make some announcements of who's going to be joining us. Michael Staronka did a chat with Tom Phillips over at Eurogamer and they touched on a bunch of important topics. People kind of talk about it. That's good. I like it. I like these chats. I do too. And it's funny because you have people that are in support of Niantic and in support of the vision and in support of the game, love these chats and they say, wow, this is great. Look at all this insight. And then you have people that are kind of on the other side of the fence that are, you know, perpetually anti-Niantic that are like, look at us, they didn't tell us anything. He's doing double speed. They didn't mention remote raids once. It's believing that people really, really want remote raids to be like the only thing anyone ever talks about. But we'll close things up with a raid guide and battle party for Mega Ray as we prepare for that. I think that, you know, we hear a lot of talk about people not going out to elite raids, but I guarantee on elite raid day, we're going to see plenty of screenshots of people doing raids and campfire will be popping off and all that kind of stuff. So well, that's great. Don't for them. Yeah. Yeah, dude, it's, I'll be out there. I'll be out there. Raid of my little. That's awesome. Ken, I'm excited for you. I'm excited for you. Should I drive to New Hampshire so I could do some raids with you? No, because you'd probably do one with me because it would, when's the elite raid day? It's the 29th. Is that a Saturday? That is a Saturday. Okay. Are you available? I'll have to check my schedule. Is it? Wait, is that? That's this month, though, right? Yes. No. No, I'm actually not. I'm doing a card show. The best flippin card show. And shout out to best flippin card show. Wait, so have you believe it's the venue, the venue that you came before? I believe so, yeah. Didn't they have a couple gyms there? Yes. So, all right, so maybe they'll be-- But that's a Sunday. But that's a Sunday. Okay, so then you're not doing the best flippin card show. No, because I'm doing the elite raid day. I'm not, but I'm at work because I have to switch that day so I can be available. Because typically I work Sundays. Gotcha. Well, Adam. Well, Ken. I guess that's your out for elite raids. I mean, you can still come up. I mean-- You can-- You're just going to have to get some candy and chocolate and ice cream. Look, chocolate pretzels. Chocolate covered pretzels. Chocolate covered pretzels. We have those. That's the-- I know you do because that's what you send me every holiday. And then-- And then-- And then you can just join me at the show. So let's say you were available. Let's say you had-- But like bring your cards. I'm just saying. But look, if you were available, would you be able to get four people, three people together to do Mega Requisa? Like, is this-- is it that difficult? I'm sure I might be able to find somebody. But it would be easier-- You're sure you might. It'd be easier if I just was at the elite raid and just hope to get in with the-- with the cars that are surrounding because there's not going to be nobody out. I remember the last time you sang that your-- your elite raid community was very car-focused, right? Like, people don't even get out of the car. They just kind of-- Yes. Yeah. It's a little bit more tough, especially with not knowing when, you know, people are dropping on the raid. Yeah. And like, I might get there a few minutes late. And if everybody's dropped, I have no one to do it with. You miss the boat? Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So it's just, you know, or-- or they're-- they're well organized and they do a private group. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know-- I'm just saying. I do something to get the community going and, look, we'll get into the elite raids a little bit. I understand. I understand. All right. Well, Spolunkers Cove was this week. Spolunkers Cave. Spolunkers Cove, June 15th through June 18th. So we had a couple of days of this. We had a bunch of shinies out in the wild, Crabrawler being the new shiny of the event. I'll tell you. I didn't get any shinies. Dude, either did I-- actually, I got a shiny-- Marie, I was about to say a shiny fleas king. A shiny-- Marie, because I-- I named it fleece queen because it was female. But that was the only shiny I got. And it was go-plus. So it wasn't even like I actually even put any effort into it at all. But we had double-catch candy over the event. Onyx was in three-star raids. I know a lot of people were kind of just catching up on candy and stuff like that to power up their mega for Steelix. Field research. You know, same thing. Crabrawler was there as well. It was a $2 research for additional encounters with Crabrawler. I believe I bought that. And I didn't get anything out of it, so it's like, eh, oh. There was a web store bundle, all that good stuff. So let's talk about this event and the-- the calendar for June was packed with events. We had slumbering sands. We had stadium sites. We're going to have scorching steps. These events-- I don't want to say that they're lackluster, right? But they're definitely not powered by compelling, right? There's no new release. There's no story with it. There's no-- No, I agree. I agree. And I think that that's part of the problem here because we just-- a lot of people are saying like, hey, we have these events for the sake of events. We're not having these events because it's driving a narrative or there's new Pokemon being released. It's kind of-- I don't know, does it-- does it feel like vanilla spawns just-- but there just happens to be like-- Honestly, the vanilla spawn search feel more like an event than the events, if that makes any sense. Well, I think that this is a really important thing because we have a lot of-- the calendar is packed, so on paper, it looks like there's so much going on in the game. But in practice, we're playing these events, and it's like, all right, GeoDude, you know, cool. It's like more Kanto spawns, like Ryhorn, awesome, you know what I mean? Like, I don't know. I don't know if these-- Well, the game is tailored towards new players and returning players. So they want to have Kanto-- But new players don't need Kanto. New players could benefit from any Pokemon. It doesn't need to just be Kanto. Yeah, but that's-- Draw them in. Yep. Really, though? Because is the window of nostalgia over for this? Like, are we attracting new players because they're still in that kind of-- I think the attracting new players is in-- I like Pikachu, so I'm going to-- He's in the new Pokemon, right? You know, you're talking about the Sprigatito, the Foycoco, the Quaxley. Those are still spawning, because those are popular. Those are what people are-- Well, also, you have Horizons on Netflix, which are-- Exactly. Wishing those Pokemon into the zeitgeist because that's what-- I'm surprised we haven't seen the starters in one-star raids. Have we? Yeah, that's-- I don't know if we have. I don't know. I don't know. Trader Mr. Cassin' Cubone in the chat. What's up, fellas? What's up? How are you? Welcome. Welcome. I brought the tank too. Oh, Adam's got the guns out. Yeah, I'm representing, you know. Look at-- look at those Twigies you got going on in there. I don't know. They're just-- They're so small. Oh, gosh. I'm ripped. All right. To rip some packs. Let's go! Now, but-- I don't know. Spelunker's Cove was a weird one, because it was only a couple days. Yeah, we got Shiny Crabrawler being released. We've talked plenty about our Shiny's actual content, or is it just kind of something to-- I don't know. Keep us-- keep us slightly engaged. If you're not out there grinding the Shiny, this feels like a regular day out playing. It doesn't necessarily feel like, "Oh, man, this is a--" And a lot of my researches and stuff, they were like nose pass and car banks, and I-- It was very few Crabrawlers, like, I know that there are specific tasks to get the Crabrawlers, but it's just like-- sometimes I just get the task and just want to complete them to complete them, but the just the rewards are just not exciting, I'm not thrilled to get them. All right. Well, that-- that'll lead us into Scorching Steps, and I think that with Scorching Steps, we have, again, no new Pokémon. You know, the release of Pokémon is definitely slowed down. We're going to touch on that when we talk about the Staronka interview, because Tom Phillips have brought it up in the interview. But we have Scorching Steps, which starts tomorrow from the time of this recording. It's June 21st through the 25th, so, again, another small event, and what we're seeing here is a glorified hatch event, and in the past, hatch events have been not so great, and not very well accepted by the community. So what makes this-- this hatch event different? There is some stuff here that makes it-- makes it a little bit better. Double catch handy from hatching eggs again. If you're like me and you're on the single incubator grind, this event really isn't going to do much. However-- Well, it's the first-- the first three eggs hatch during this event using the Pokémon Go egg hatching widget will be quarter distance. Yeah, so my recommendation on that is stack your 12Ks, stack your strange eggs, the-- you get three of them, and then via the widget, drop those in, get the quarter hatch distance. But like when they do this on community day-- Do you think we could get like some instructions on how to use that widget? You press on it. What are you talking about? What do you mean? How do you do it? How do you get the widget? How do you get the widget? What do they need to like tell you everything? This is a widget for your home screen. I don't know how to use a widget. Oh geez, Adam, let me Google that for you. OK, thank you. If you don't know how to use a home page widget, you can add widgets to your home screen on iOS. You just press and hold. It'll give you a plus symbol. You hit plus, and it'll-- you can search on widgets. A lot of them are for the Apple native apps. There's also like Weather Channel, things like that. And a trainer missing in the chat saying, Adam, you're a widget. That makes sense. But if you search on Pokémon Go, there's three different widgets on iOS. And that's like an adventurous sync one that shows eggs, and then one that kind of shows buddy and eggs. But if you click on any of those widgets on your home screen, it launches Pico. And it'll launch directly into your buddy, or it'll launch directly into your eggs. So if you click on an egg widget, go into the eggs, drop those quarter-- you know, drop those 12Ks in there. You'll have quarter hatch distance. I now have all three widgets. OK. I have all three. Thank you for that, though. Because that's important, because people like me who just have an iPhone-- I don't know those things. I don't-- because I don't use those. So I'm dead battery squatter right now. I'm dead battery squatter right now, so I can't show you. But the problem is the widgets are a little redundant, like one is eggs, and then one is like buddy and eggs. It's like, why do you need both? But if you do that, at least take advantage of those three eggs at quarter hatch distance. But there is an increased chance to encounter and hatch shiny slugma and shiny littlio. And what makes this good as far as a hatch event is concerned is it also says increased chance to encounter, meaning that these Pokemon will be in the wild still. So it's not dependent on eggs. There is still going to be options in the wild. But in the eggs, Larvesta is really the-- I guess the chase here, because Larvesta will be available in two, five, and 10K eggs if you're lucky also, Pokemon Go, trainers might hatch shiny Larvesta. So shiny Larvesta here-- Wow, this sounds like a-- you're going to have to spend some money on some incubators. Dude, kind of an event. I'm honestly-- What kind of event is this? Spend money. Dude, that's the bane of hatch events. Because if you want to be free to play, it's just the slow go. It feels bad. Because it's a lot of effort. It's a lot of effort for a few encounters, which makes this kind of lose its shine a little bit. You know what? I might have to try-- what's the weather like tomorrow? I might have to try to run and try to get some eggs. There you go. Go for a run. But what-- I think the saving grace here, besides Larvesta being in two, five, and 10s, right? That's good. Hopefully, we'll get a good mix here, especially on 10Ks. If the pool is specifically Larvesta, Turtinator, and Charkadet, this is great, because it'll trim down the fat of that pool and allow us to get more Larvestas and more Charkadets in our life. Turtinator, what makes Turtinator good in this event is it's available via field research. So you don't have to have to rate it. You don't have to rate it. You don't have to catch it. You just have to find the corresponding research. Now, this is a fantastic way for free-to-play players to actually grind and chase something specific. But the problem being is, if you're in a rural area and you don't have a lot of stops, these tasks might be few and far between. And even if you spend, you know, 20 stops, you might only see three, four, five of the Larvesta or the Turtinator tasks. So again, this is how they make difficulty in the game, is they make things challenging in the real world. You're going to have to track down those researches. You're going to have to find them, or you're going to have to walk a lot to hatch eggs. So that is what it is. There will be timed research to hatch eggs, earn Stardust, XP, and encounters with the event-themed Pokemon. So probably you'll see Slugma and Litleo in that. Poked-Stop showcases will be around, Web Store bundle, you know, they're just constantly pushing Web Store stuff. That's where I exclusively buy my Poked Coins now. And sometimes, like they had a $5 kind of little bundle the other day that I picked up. So sometimes there are really good deals in here at the Web Store. But this is an egg event. If you're on the scene, open those wallets, open them wide. It's a pay to play. It's definitely not pay to win because you still got to get out there and walk, but you still have to pay to do it. So interesting. What a content. I think people will be going after the Charketet and the Larvesta and Turtenator and Field Research. I think that's what people will probably be chasing. The Slugma and Litleo, while they are somewhat rare Pokemon in terms of you don't see them in a lot of events. So the shiny may be a holdout. But it's an egg event. That's fair. So yeah, it's an egg event. You know, you can't dress it up any more than that. What's on the horizon? What's on the horizon. What's on the horizon for us? Oh, I see what you did there. We can celebrate the release of Pokemon Horizons, the series in India and Indonesia with a special event. We have this really awesome picture. So this is just a reach-eat event for us because of this. This isn't even for us. This is only for people in India and Indonesia. Oh, okay. Yes. So it says, this is because Horizons is now coming to the Indian and Indonesian Netflix market, where we've already had it here in the US market and other European markets. This is now coming to Indonesia. So they're celebrating specifically for them. Pikachu wearing caps hat is returning to Pokemon Go. Take a snapshot in Pokemon Go during the event. You might have a surprise encounter with chances with characters from Pokemon from the animated series. So I'm sure all those starters will be in there. For fans in India, you can watch Pokemon Horizons on Sunday. So it's like, yes, either show or they're pumping up the Netflix show here. But again, the event is limited to India and Indonesia. So shout out to the trainers that are in those countries. I think after the last, you know, the India Wayfarer Challenge, there was just like an extreme amount of Pokéstops Resolve there. And that's awesome. Yeah. No, the communities have been building up. We got tagged a bunch in in-person stuff in India. We appreciate the tag. It's amazing to see. I will say that. Yeah, totally. Totally. It's awesome to see. But cap Pikachu is going to be in there, which is legit. I do have the shiny of cap Pikachu. Surprise encounters and Pikachu known volt tackle makes me think of detective Pikachu when you like use his volt tackle when he's fighting Mewtwo and knocks Mewtwo out. It's pretty awesome. But no, I like regional events like this. It kind of just gives, especially when it's in emerging markets, it just hypes up the game and hypes up the opportunity for people to feel more immersed. So I'm all about it, about it, about it. All right. So eight years the game has been around, Ken, we're Pokemon Go players. We love party hats. I don't, I don't know if everybody loves party hats. Do you love party hats? Adam loves party hats. Adam does not like any, anything at all that has to do with, it's wild to think that the game has been here eight years. So that, it's pretty, it's pretty cool. I've always been a loyalist when it comes to certain games. You know, whether it was, you know, I played so much rainbow six growing up, halo is so much for me. Mega Man. Smash Brothers. You were a Mega Man. You know, the Skylanders franchise. Skylanders. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Many, many years. But that was insane. That was an insane time. I love Skylanders. There's no other game other than Pokemon Go that has dominated my screen time. You know, since the release of Pokemon Go, I've played so little console games and PC games and I was a console, like I played console games like crazy. And I just don't play consoles at all. Or Fortnite kind of teeter that me being on a console and playing, but I still play way more Pokemon Go. Yeah, no, for sure. But Pokemon Go is celebrating eight years. Join us for the fun 8th anniversary event. Now this event kind of carries over elite raid weekend for mega ray. So keep that in mind Friday, June 28th to Wednesday, July 3rd. So carries into July. Grimer wearing a party hat and muck wearing a party hat, which can be shiny, will be released for the first time. And you can see them in the key art here, which is really cool. But you also see Meltan, Meltan will be coming back for the history box. Let me ask you a serious question. What was the last time you used your meltan box? The other day, I consistently use meltan boxes. So no way. No way. All right. Everyone in the chat. We know when the last time you opened your meltan box. As a Pokeball turn says, give us a monocle unknown, you cowards. Oh, dude, a monocle unknown would be so great or like, like, uh, like the exclamation point. That'd be awesome. That'd be awesome. But meltan will be shiny. No, that that's going to happen when they sunset the game. They're going to be like, they're going to be like unknown exclamation point for everyone. No one saw it coming. And they'll be like, now would reduce radius. So they'll be like, and we increased the remote rate, stop. So Friday, June 28th to July 3rd, you can open three of these boxes. If you time it right, meltan boxes. So make sure you're going into the event ready to go. So that means that, you know, don't open a box after the 25th to allow for that three day cool down for you to get another mystery box. So make sure you have a mystery box ready to go and open it as early as possible after the event at 10 AM kickoff. So that way you can open another one on July for, you know, on, on what you would call it, is there, let's see. So if we started on the 28th, yeah, so then you could, oh, no, it's not reduced timing, right? So maybe you could only open two boxes. No, no, you can open the mystery box more frequently. All right. So I guess it's every two days, right? So if you do it on the 28th, you'll be doing it on the first. So yeah, you could open three of these boxes if you time it right. So make sure, make sure you're doing a little prep work, go into the event with meltan box ready to go. These chance to become lucky friends, increase chance to get lucky Pokemon in trades, friendship levels will increase faster than normal chance of finding eight or 88 or more. Gimme gold coins when you spin a pocus stop with a golden lower module. Pretty awesome. Get those gimme gold coins. So is that eight or 88 and those are the only two options or maybe more or maybe more. Okay. Okay. Maybe more. But is it eight? 89 is the lowest. And then it jumps from eight to 88 and higher. Then you got eight 88 magic at 888 gimme gold coins. That would be fire. Yeah. But what I'm trying to figure out was 25. I'm trying to figure out. Yeah. If it's if it's just those two numbers is the only yeah, eight 88 or a higher number. Because that's using big deal, using their language, it just says chance of finding eight or 88 or maybe more. So eight 88 or 89 or higher, who knows. But in addition to the above eighth anniversary party will have special bonuses on certain days, 20th and 29th half egg hatch distance, 30th to July 1st double XP and then the second and third double stardust. So let's talk about how this overlaps with elite raids and elite raids being an in person thing only, right? So you're going to have an increased chance of becoming lucky friends. If you're rating with best friends, which is awesome, you're going to be with people. You should probably do trades, two special trades per day, this season, lucky friends. And then you have the increased lucky. So this is a great opportunity to take advantage of being in person with people because you're going to increase faster. Yeah, don't screw people over on their XP. Make sure if you're two days away from hitting best friend, I know you get warned and stuff like that. But I'm just opening up your your gift. So if you send it to me, I'm so sorry. Be mine. I'm sorry. Try to be mindful of it. There's plenty of people that are like holding out, you know, sand bagging gifts, waiting for community data open, you know, to do that stuff and then a double a double friendship event comes around and it's like, boom, they get screwed over. It's like, well, the warning to use a lucky egg has been amazing. That's a great quality of life. Yeah, I agree. I agree. Awesome. If you're trying to stack 20 people and then one person opens, you may not want to use a lucky egg just for that one person because then you're going to end up having to, you know, break your stack up or, you know, yeah, I do, I do like that they asked. They're like, you're going to about to be friends. Do you want to use a lucky egg? It's like, yeah, you just went great friends. You want to use a lucky egg for 10 K? No. Yes. No, I do. Every time. When counters during the event, we have returning party hat Pokemon, Bulbasaur Charmander Squirtle, Pikachu wearing the party art, Bulbasaur Charmander Squirtle wearing party hats, Pikachu wearing the K cat is making its return. Evie with a party hat, Grimer with the party hat, Sprigotito, Fuikoko, Quaxley, again, the horizon is kind of smart. With the party hats? No party hats. No party hats for them. Okay. Some trainers might even follow a counter the following, a low and Grimer will also be in the wild. That's a great shining. And then they have specific Pokemon per the days that kind of correspond with those different rotating bonuses, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodal, Trico, Torchic, Mudkip. On the first two days of the event, in the middle of the event, Chertoig, Chinchar, Pimblup, Snivy, Tepig, Ashwat, and then July 2nd and 3rd, Chespin, Fenniken, Froki, Rowlett, Linton, Poplio. So it's kind of like a starter celebration of over the course of the event, which is pretty cool. In Raids, one star Raids, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, and Grimer. So you have, you know, from what I understand, these costume Pokemon when they're in Raids, there's no increased rate of Shiny. So whether you catch a Pokemon in the wild or you raid it, I believe it's the same odds. So it just feels bad though. Keep that in mind. You know, but I mean, is it use your free raid passes? Use your free read passes, you know what I'm saying? Build research, task rewards, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Septile, Blaziken, and Swampert are in there. These are cool chases because they can, or most of these can mega here. You can get the Shiny. You know what I mean? That's a great fun chase to be like, you know, I caught a Shiny Charizard in research with a high chance of being, you know, a high IV shelf. Like that's awesome. I think that's awesome. Time to research will be available, complete tests to earn XP Stardust encounters with event themed Pokemon. It's just radicate wearing a party hat, Nidorino wearing a party hat, Wobbifat wearing a party hat, Meltan also in timed research. But actually, really cool, Meltan in timed research, well, that opens up accessibility. So if someone doesn't have access to Pokemon Home or anything like that, you could still get yourself Meltan for decks via timed research and it's free. But there will be a two dollar paid timed research as well, but they're doing it right. It's not just like, hey, here's five more encounters with her brawler. They're actually giving consumables. One incubator, one super incubator, one premium battle pass, a lucky egg, a rocket radar, a star piece, an incense, a poppin, 88,888 XP, and an encounter with Meltan, two dollars. Take my money. Take it. Worth it. Yeah, that is definitely, that's definitely worth it. Because it comes with all the goodies, right? If this was just super incubators already, like 200, so that's two dollars. The rocket radar is huge, too. The rocket rate. This is- And the incubator is $150, so that's $350 right there. And then you've got all these extra things and the Meltan, I'll take it. I'm in, I'm in, it's a very good, it's a very good use for two bucks. But here's where- Yeah, you buy in that for me. I'll buy it for you. Okay, thank you. Whispers in the woods for $5 or the equivalent, you'll be able to pick up masterwork, read research story, Whispers in the woods, which leads to an encounter with Shiny Celebi. There's an asterisk there. So- Oh, are you gonna buy that one for me, too? Yes, Adam, I'll buy it for you. Shiny Celebi originally created Pokemon Go. Cheaper to play. Not free to play. Not free to play. Just cheap to play. Like cheap date. I'm wrong. Listen, we're still looking for a house, so we're broke. Yeah, I hear you. I hear you. You should be able to access masterwork research story. Tickets will be available until July 3rd, so the end of the event, you'll be able to buy this. But again, special research, masterwork research, it won't go away. It's not time. So, be mindful, the $2, the free research, the free-timed research, paid-time research, time-gated, right? You got it completed before the end of the event. The Whispers in the woods, special research, the masterwork. You can buy it. As long as you buy it before the end of the event, you'll be good to go for a while. But, traders who purchased the masterwork research story, who have previously received the distracted by something shiny special research story, either active or completed, can also enjoy the following bonuses for the duration of our 8th anniversary party event. So, if you have already got your shiny celibae, right, from previous research, and you buy this FIDAR ticket early in the event, like, say, on the first day, on the 28th, you'll have double incense, double daily adventure incense duration and double lucky egg duration for the whole event, which is great. Wow. That's huge. Especially, it's great. Wow. That's huge. Lucky eggs for-- Especially the 8th. Great. I'm telling you, it's great. Double daily adventure incense. It's like, people are using a roar of time to do this. Now you can just do it with this FIDAR research. We've talked about this plenty, though. The jump from $2 to $5 is a lot. It is. It is. But, I mean, I think the fact that you could get a shiny 100% celibae is much greater of an excitement than Zorud. Oh, and shout out to Inspire Danny in the chat saying, "Read the text above raids." It says, "The following Pokémon in raids, Pokémon appearing in one-star raids have a greater chance of being a shiny Pokémon than when found in the wild." Boom. Prove myself wrong there. So, yeah. All right. I have higher shiny odds for these costume Pokémon. All right. It's a really grimer. It's the only one that matters. Yeah. But, look, I'm not going to-- I'm not going to remote these one-stars, right? I'm not going to do a remote frickin'-- I'm sending you each every one of these. Dude, you sent me a krabrawler the other day. I was like, dude. Yeah, but that's the chase shiny. Why would you do that? Because it wasn't boosted, and it's like, I got plenty at home. It's like, I was like, "This guy's sending me a krabrawler in the middle of the day. I'm not doing it." But all right. Maybe-- I mean, I'll definitely use my free passes, but I'm kind of in that mode where I'm buying and stockpiling battle passes, premium battle passes for GoFest. So it's like, do I really want to blow through Kigity 10 premium battle passes to raid Squirtle and Pikachu? I don't know. But I'll definitely put my free passes on this each day. So a lot going on in this event. There will be an anniversary web store bundle for $5 with three premium battle passes and three remote raid passes, so that's a pretty good deal. There will be new avatar items. The Oreo Corio hats are coming back, and then we have Noctau loose fitting jacket, a manky loose fitting jacket, and some loose fitting pants are really, really cool almost. What? I think the pants are awesome. They look like street wear. I dig it. I dig it. Meltan sticker, pretty sweet. Pretty sweet here. All these stickers are actually really cool. I think I like the starter Pokemon all with the eight. That's actually really cute. All right. Well, so let's unpack the event and compare it to slumbering sands, scorching steps, spelunkers, where all these events kind of didn't feel great. And now we have this eighth anniversary event and it's like, okay, it's a little bit more common. Yeah. This is going to feel like an event. You're going to see that there's an event physically because you're going to get cool stickers. You're going to see Pokemon on the map with hats. You've got new avatar items. You've got new raids with all the raids are going to be all the rage because they're going to have all the hats. Yeah. Yeah. You've got paid time research. You've got paid time research. And it's got a ton of goods, like you're going to want to play this event. No, I agree. I agree. I do think this is a good event. I think that this is leaps and bounds better than what we've seen in events over the past couple of days. Why is my camera all screwy? Yeah, because you're going to open the game on the 28th and be like, oh, sweet. I got all these chikoritas, cindyquilt, toe to die, all this stuff. And then you're going to open it the next day and it's going to be a totally different spawn pool. Then you're going to open it on the second and it's going to be different. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's just, it's going to feel like it like there's levels to the event. So it's not going to feel stagnant. Yeah. Cipio Blue in the chat says they say increased odds. But what do they really mean by increased? Yeah. It goes from 426 to they move it one, one little click like this is like, all right. We're not liars. We didn't tell you how much. Oh, shout to noggin dude in the chat. That's true. Shout to TJ. TJ. Oh, hey. Well, that's going on. He's not with them anymore, but Drew is an awesome friend. Yes. Good stuff. Good stuff. All right. So eighth anniversary event. I'm sure everyone will be playing it. All that good stuff. But Adam, why don't we take a break? Let's take a break. I want to talk about mega requests, uh, I want to talk about, uh, that's like the one I actually just dip here because that's like the one thing I didn't want to talk about. All right. I'm going to hit out. Yeah. We're going to just going to leave in the podcast now we're going to take a break when we come back. We're going to talk about mega requests. We'll talk about, uh, go fast a bit. We'll talk about Michael Staronka on your gamer and then we'll wrap things up with a raid guide and battle party for mega requests. All right. Yeah. Okay. I guess I could stay for the battle party. So all right. I can't be a listeners. We'll be back right after this. And we're back. Oh, Adam's in second gear. Well, I mean, I was going to go to fifth gear, you know, but my pal, you know, Luffy, he just, he just does it for me. So I say, ah, I can't get that goofy. All right. Luffy can't get that goofy, a little bit of a housekeeping here. I just wanted to give a shout out to some of our patrons. Thank you to our gym leaders, Ben, DJ one to bread, GK hall to counselor Joseph Kimberly Mythical hitch and noggin dude, a special thanks to our executive producer, Paul, but as well as the other executive producers on the network to Smith and Kate the cons and make sure you check out pokemonprofessor.com for everywhere. You can connect with us, grab some merch, leave us some reviews and check out all the other shows on the network. All right, we're going to get right back into it. We're going to, we're going to talk about Eurogamer first. And this was a pretty interesting one. Because the last time Tom Phillips over at Eurogamer, he's the editor in chief, by the way, of Eurogamer, Eurogamer was just, was just bought, I believe to the whole, the whole massive kind of IGN action going on. But let's talk about it. So the last time Michael Soraka, it was interviewed by Eurogamer, it caused a lot of, a lot of just, I don't know, disdain for, for him, a lot of people saying that he was dodging questions and all that stuff. But it is good to see him back in the press because, you know, I know Michael personally and I think he's a great dude and I think he's, he's absolutely the, the right person for, for the job. So it's important that we get to hear his voice because this dude, you know, people always have this kind of vibe about Nancy employees that employees that they don't play or they don't care. And I swear, I've never had, I've never had anything even remotely close to that. Whenever I've engaged with, with Mr. Soraka here, he's the real deal. So very glad to have him in his position where he is, but Tom Phillips starts off by saying eight years into Pokemon goes life in the game's annual summer Go Fest events remain a firm fixture in the apps event calendar. More than a dozen of these meetups have taken place around the world and the most recent this weekend in Madrid, where tens of thousands of Pokefans brave the heat to catch an enticing array of species ahead of other players starts pretty normal. Games like just straight gaming journalism speak, but then there's an interview right, but what happens is you also, you, you get this vibe that it goes from, Hey, I'm interviewing this person as the editor in chief of Eurogamer to, I'm a player of the game and I have concerns personally and I'm going to ask you and grill you on these questions. And that's why I think this interview is so cool, because even though it's formatted properly and looks just like an interview that, you know, any publication might put together, you can tell that Tom Phillips is an actual Pokemon go trainer, which is pretty awesome. So he talks about, you know, how Sino tour was, you know, very, very well received and it was really great for engagement. But the avatar update was a, it was a miss, he even calls it a feeling decidedly rushed and also calls out the slowdown of Pokemon new Pokemon being released. And we've, we've talked about that in detail how we're just, you know, besides charcadet, you know, and that's an eggs we are wild Pokemon new releases have been very, very few and far between. So he starts on, and again, I'm not going to go into every single question that he asks here. I do recommend everyone checks out the interview, I'll put the link in the description. But the first question he asks is Pokemon go has slowed its release of new species into the game, which is something I've noticed I've seen pointed out on Reddit as well. How intentional is this? And as the game works with the, the finite number of Pokemon available generally. So Storanka says, so we would say Storanka, Michael Storanka says, he kind of talks about how they've, yes, they've intentionally slowed down on this, but it's naturally happening with the cadence of events. Now what we were talking about before, what is this ad of like this woman taking a shower they got shown right here, let me close it. So there's like some adding of like some chicken, a shower, got to stay clean. I know, we've talked about the, the lack of new Pokemon, right? And the cadence of events that he's calling out where we've seen lots of events and not a lot of new stuff happening in the game. So is this really a good thing that like, yeah, like we're getting an egg event and there's nothing really exciting except for a shiny larvesta that's an eggs, you know what I mean? Not a new Pokemon, right, is the shiny, is the shiny version of a Pokemon, a new Pokemon. I don't think so. It's a shiny, but it's not a deck century. And I think that even though that the, the deck century is that single dose of dopamine, you get that one deck century and then yeah, it's in the decks like you've already, you know, finished at that point. I do think that new Pokemon do make it exciting to get out there and see them on the map and see them on the encounter screen, but he puts a very interesting spin on it and says, how do we keep things? This is Michael Staronka. How do we keep things exciting without needing to rely solely on brand new release of Pokemon? That is top of line for us, but you know what you're saying isn't news to me. It's definitely something the team is putting a lot of serious consideration around. And I'm pretty excited with a lot of discussions we've been having on that. Now, I'm not calling Michael Staronka out at all, but this kind of vibe in interviews and in press is something we see a lot from Niantic where we've got a lot going on in the back, back, you know, in the back of the bus here. Wait till you see what we have this summer. We have a slate of killer events like like it's always like there's stuff going on that you're going to love. It's just not here yet. So don't put a lot of merit into that because that will kind of, in my opinion, kind of just breeds disappointment because then you're like waiting for something and you're like, where's this blockbuster thing that, you know, supposed to blow everybody away? And they're like, what are you talking about routes were released? And it's like, you don't care about routes, you know, so it's like, I mean, I do, but I'm saying the proverbial. The proverbial. What do you mean? AR routes where you could see the Pokemon on your route. He talks about mega Pokemon. Again, the release is slowing down. We had mega Heracross, but other than that, we've seen nothing but repeats for a while. We talk about, he brings up Gen 8 and Megas and Z moves and dynamics, like if all that stuff is coming, he says we, Stronka says, we've definitely been thinking a lot about Gen 8 for a while and poking Pokemon go, nothing to share right now. But there's always something we're trying to do to play homage to the source material and do that right by that source material. So it does say that they're focusing on galler still, but again, mega or not, we're just not seeing new Pokemon. We're just, it's just kind of hit a wall. This topic has definitely been brought up a lot, especially when we had that deluge of XP bonus events. He, Tom Phillips says, as time goes on, more players hit Pokemon Go's current level 50 cap is you're thinking around expanding that cap changing over time as more people get there. Before even go into Michael Stronka's response, it's important to remember that if you're level 50, you are in like the smallest minority of trainers in this game. Like there is such an incredibly steep drop off of trainer count when you go from like level 10 to level 20 to level 30 to 40 and ultimately 50. I remember when the task force calls were first happening like many, many years ago. And again, I'm not gonna quote anything or bring out any sensitive information, but they, we were able to like get the information of like how many people in the player base are actually level 40 and how many are level 50 and I was shocked. It's way less than you would think like and by way less, I mean like way less, way less. So the end game trainer, the end user, the hardcore player, we are, you know, we will always make fun and say, oh, we're the 1% looks like, no, no, we're like the 0.1% of trainers when it comes to the grand scheme of things. So in Michael Stronka's response, he talks about they are, you know, still concerned about the new trainer and we've said it for a long time. New trainers are the lifeblood of this game. That's what's going to make this game have longevity. That's what's going to keep this game at the top of the app store and the top of the top of the revenue channels is new trainers. So they want to do it in a way where a new if the level cap goes up to 60, the new trainer will won't be like, I am so discouraged. How am I ever going to get the level 60? This doesn't seem realistic. So it's a definitely an interesting thing to discuss. I just reading this response from Michael Stronka. I don't think level 60 is coming anytime soon. I thought it was coming. I thought this would be like a, you know, go fast surprise. I don't know if we'll see that continuing on in the interview. He does bring up the avatar update, it says feedback to the character creator update this year was mixed. Are there still changes you'd like to make there? First of all, Mr. Phillips, I think you're very kind by saying it was mixed. I think it was barely mixed. I think that 95% of the people did not like this and 5% were like, it's okay or I can have long hair now, but for the most part, no one really dug the avatar update. I know Chanel had mentioned she's like, why is your character huge? And I was like, because in my deli bird onesie, I wanted to look like a deli bird on the map. You do look cute in your deli bird ones. That's all I'm saying. But yeah, the, the, we all know that this didn't go over well. Yeah. Storanka steps up, says absolutely we knew this was going to be a challenging one for us. Players have grown to love their avatars for the past seven and a half years. And anytime you change something like that, there's a lot of risk involved. And he goes on to say, yes, we hear the feedback, but he goes on and says, I would say it's just the start. So that means what? If it's happening in the back end, you know, sub is happening behind the scenes that new updates are coming or changes will be coming to the avatar system. I don't know, but he does call out that, uh, he says, I want to share on this front just how technically challenging that feature was for us to bring to the market because we have a backlog of different avatar items and articles of clothing and poses. Those were all designed for two specific form factors, taking these dozens of hundreds of avatar items and implying it to a much customizable character was very, very tricky for us. We have seen the feedback and have already been making some adjustments and we have more to come. Okay. What is the start? What? Yeah. But is it though, or is this just the, you know, just like, Niantic putting their finger up to your lip, just like, just be quiet. Things are coming. It's, I don't know. I don't know. What is there really more avatar stuff coming? I don't know. I don't know. Theoretically, there's always new avatar items. Like there's items coming. Yeah. Yeah. Just updates to the avatars themselves. We don't know. So a couple other questions he touches on, um, you know, there was, there was this character here in the, the, the sixth anniversary, uh, at poster that came out, we're like, who is this person? Like, is this, is this a new character? Um, you know, we have Matteo, uh, you also talks about extra, extra small Pokemon. And why are we saving them? If showcases never feature extra, extra small, uh, all in all fantastic interview by Tom Phillips, make sure you check it out. I'll link to it in the description. Yeah. What was that? What was the discussion with the extra, extra small? Cause I have a lot of small ones. It's a, I mean, he took the easy way out and says, we always want to make sure players can find value in different Pokemon they have in their inventory. It's just extra, extra small Pokemon, uh, there's, it's just not visually fun to see. What? What's your extra small Joltik or bounce feed is amazing to look at. I love that. I love that. Yeah. Uh, it also brings up, uh, only having a thousand, uh, gym badges and then they start falling off, which is a total bummer, especially for people that travel, total bummer, total total bummer. Um, all right, let's, let's, let's shift gears really quick. We could just touch on this for a second and talk about GoFest, um, really excited. We talked about it last week, just want to make sure everybody knows that, uh, Adam and I were both selected to be on the notable trainer and meet and greet panel again. Um, so we will be there every day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. The 12 p.m. At the meet and greet tent should definitely come say hello to us. Um, in our time slot, we'll also have Pokey Daxie, the trainer club and swag run, uh, in the afternoon, awesome Adam JT Gilly, Landor Alpha, True Inferno and Zoey two dots. So always good to see the peeps and, uh, always a lot of fun, um, you know, Pokey Daxie being new to the group. This is, uh, should be really awesome for him. I know his, uh, his fans are pretty fanatical. So, um, that's really good to see. We're also doing our New York state of grind. Actually, if I, uh, let me jump over real quick to, uh, we're jumping, we're jumping over to luredup.com and, um, I can show you the teaser image for the New York state of grind. And this is the second one because we did do it last year. Hey, there's me and Adam at the booth last year, you know, 10, 10 a.m. The 12 p.m. But state of grind is going to be taking place on Saturday at 1 p.m. So what we're going to do is we're going to meet at the base of the bridge from Randall's Island, the R, the Robert F Kennedy bridge going over to, uh, into New York, into Manhattan over by, uh, Spanish Harlem. And we're going to meet there at one o'clock. We're going to head over details. We'll be on luredup.com. I'm going to be updating this page this weekend with some other stuff as well. And we're pretty much going to walk straight out to Fifth Avenue and walk Fifth Avenue all the way down past Central Park to Rockefeller Plaza to go to the Nintendo store and that's where we're going to end. It is a five mile walk. So be prepared, bring your, your comfortable shoes, bring your sunscreen, bring drinks, get hydrated, all that kind of stuff. If you call me out at the beginning of this event and you make it to the end at New York and Nintendo NYC, the first 10 people are getting free lured up t shirts for New York state of grind to celebrate that. So if you make it the whole way, get a free t-shirt, limited to 10. So if you could do it, that'd be great. Last year we had about a hundred, I think we had, you could get a t-shirt too. I think we have like a hundred at the start and by the end we had like nine or something that so it's, it was a long go. Right around the middle of Central Park, we had like half the group go, yo, my feet are done. I'm good. My dogs are back and my dogs are barking. Yeah. And I was just asking me, she goes, do I have to walk that whole thing? Yes. Yes, you do. You know, but she has to carry a case of water though. Oh, yeah. The whole, the whole time. Well, I mean, I guess I could because it would get lighter because everybody would want to water. So it wouldn't be like I'm holding a case for very long. Shout out to Havoc Banda, JC picks in the chat says, "Litten ones of your bust." Love's that Litten. It could be pretty hot, you know, no, but joining us on the New York state of grind, we are going to have, as the Pokeball Turns podcast, we're going to have all the podcasts that are on the, the Pokemon Professor Network. So waste spotters will be there, special conditions will be there, purified podcast will be there. Good morning. Johto will be there. Round table chat. Taught also going to be joining us. Shout out to Johnny. One ball. He'll be there. Dandy in the, and Dandy of the Bronx, New York streamer based streamer will be joining us there too. We might have some other special things to announce on the sec will definitely be there for sure. So we have a lot of people coming together for this, for this meetup and get together in grind. This is going to be epic. It's going to, it's going to be awesome. It was so much fun last year. So just be ready for that. Friday night. Just be checking your, your Pokemon inventory. Let us know if there's a hundo like I want to, I want to find some good stuff. This is taking place on Saturday, Friday we're going to probably be cutting loose somewhere. Don't know where yet. So stay tuned of our socials for that Sunday night. We're going to be doing an invite only special top secret live recording of lured up. If you want in on that, shoot me a DM. I don't know how many people we're going to be able to fit in our recording space, but we're going to try to make some kind of live studio audience recording live studio recording of lured up on Sunday night. So hopefully, you know, we'll, we'll, we'll get that going. It's going to be, it's going to be a lot of fun. It'll be a lot of fun. All right. Well, let's talk about mega requests before we wrap up and do our battle party here. We talked about this in detail. All right. That's enough. All right. Okay. Let's talk about that. Okay. Get that. People are not happy. People are not happy. Oh, we're still talking about requests. Uh oh. Yeah. Not happy. They're not happy about it. Uh, you get four opportunities to do it 12 and one PM and then five and six PM. So it's it is what it is. I officially think I'm a fan of elite raids. I really do. I officially think I'm not a fan of elite raids, so officially, like I'm going on record. So here's the thing though, like why do we have elite raids during the go fast weekend? Because then they're not elite because then people have artificial groups. They're not going to have their own community. But that's fine. This is fine. That's fine. Then you have. Nobody nobody can forget. Nobody can forget. This is about building communities. This is about bringing people together. This is about doing things locally. Ah. Okay. Think globally. All right, mom. Act locally. Geez. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. No, there will be free time to research where you can get your hands on a meteorite. The meteorite is required for you to mega evolve their equation. Do I have to do an elite raid to get this limited timed research? It just says free timed research will be available for trainers during the event. I mean, I'd imagine that the requirement for the thing is going to be like last time where it's defeat of mega requisa. Oh, I probably won't get it. I probably won't get it then. Well, you know what, maybe if you're not elite, Adam is not elite, folks. Yeah. Just get used to it. Just get used to it. There will be web store bundle. What are elite raids, Adam? What are they? They're a chance for a waste of time. They're not. This is we've had we've had requisa like in raids before. So then, didn't we just get mega requisa in normal raids? Weren't they in normal raids? Yes or no for the previously? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Great. Why? Because it's just so frustrating. It's an opportunity for the elite trainers to be like, hi, I'm elite. All right. Might as well put in the crossmen elite raids might as well put Entei and elite raids might as well put Lugien elite raids. It's an elite Pokemon. It's the best. I mean, you two put in a name was enamorous a great Pokemon that people cared about so much that they had to put it in the yeah, it's an elite. It's an elite. It's an elite. It's a cloud. It's about the exclusivity. Well, I'll tell you which Pokemon I don't have that one. What? All right. Let us know how you feel. I'm pretty sure we know the answer. Yeah. I hate it. I know. Look, Havoc Bandit say I'm stoked for this. Don't give the gimme gimmies any freebies. See the mega wasn't ever on regular raids only during events. So yeah, the mega requisa was only go fast. So if you weren't at go fast, you know, but still, how do they make raids hard? Man, party play. You have three friends. You could do anything. Maybe you'll struggle a little bit with like the primals or something, but like requisa. It's a punk. I don't know. Okay. I don't know. But let's let's talk about taking this thing down and we're going to be looking at two places as we normally do. Oh, my screen just like going crazy. We're going to talk about we're going to look over on Pokemon go hub shout to kitty Pokemon's a lot and a shot to cilantro. We're going to look at poke a battler as well. So Adam, if you would, could you please grace us with your beautiful tones and melodies? Battle party battle party. All right, folks, we are talking about mega requisa here again, elite raids. So hopefully many of you will take advantage of elite raids and actually be able to use your battle party for mega requisa. But if we look, let's look first over on poke a battler, we're going to keep all of our filters on and mega requisa is a a double week to ice. So I think that pretty much spells it out. Yeah. Especially. Yeah. Bring ice Pokemon. If you have a limited amount of Pokemon or a limited amount of trainers that you could do this with, make sure you're partied up. Make sure you got your your party bonus going. Bring your ice Pokemon. Hopefully you have friendship with them. There's ways that you can build community and influence and impact and increase your ability to take these down with fewer trainers by having being in a party, being friends with someone and also using the right Pokemon. So take advantage of the stuff and all of a sudden you'll have less and less people. It says in poke a battler three trainers with Pokemon of this strength. It will be a difficult fight. Make sure everyone use their best Pokemon, but three trainers. Come on. Get the three trainers in there for party play where to keep all the things on here. Shadow mama swine top of the chart here powder snow and avalanche mega Gardevoir up there charm and triple axle. It is also if we look up here, it is also weak to fairy dragon and rock. So get that mega Gardevoir in there for that fairy. Shadow Mewtwo ice beam you know shadow Mewtwo is still one of the highest DPS Pokemon out there. So it just wrecks with ice beam. So if you if you pair that with a mega ice Pokemon like mega Glaly, which is number five on the list, you do some serious output, set a tan also on here might be a cool opportunity to use a Pokemon that you don't have a lot of use for mega Obama's snow is in there. Beyond mega ray rays even in there for dragon tail breaking swipe. If we jump over to Pokemon go hub, we'll get some information regarding its CP and let's see they have shadow mama swine up top up top as well. We have a Darmanitan, Glarian Darmanitan is in there we vile shadow we vial up there backs caliber. So we have some diversity up here of who you could use they have mega Gardevoir all the way down to number nine. That's why I like looking at both both ways of or both sites when it comes to counters because they kind of think about and calculate everything a little bit different. But there's plenty of Pokemon and big big diverse move said that you could you could use here. Oh, here's our numbers. This is what I was looking for. No CP's no weather boost level 20 21 91 is what you're looking for mega requires a boosted level 25 in windy weather 2739. So the numbers you're looking for 21 91 all right and 2739 27. Good morning Jodo Lane in the chat with some names in the chat. Well, good morning. I mean, good night Joto. Good night Jodo shiny requires is available. It is badass. I believe is the official term for what it looks like. But a lot of diversity here Adam, I'm going to bring up my I am dead battery squad, but I'm going to bring up my party here that I put together. I'm going to be bringing mega Obama snow even though that this thing itself isn't going to be putting out a lot of output. It's going to be important to boost the other ice Pokemon that are around. So I might even stagger this somewhere in the party other than leading with it, but I'm bringing mega Obama snow backs caliber just not something I use often. It's not just something I had just evolved because I had the candy. I just shadow mamma swine in there regular mamma swine. I have shiny than their shadow weavile boosted up there as well. And my current Blissey that I'm working on for buddy a donkey punch is its names shout the donkey punch my Blissey. So bringing a bunch of ice Pokemon and Blissey in there as well, but definitely stagger a mega ice Pokemon that glalia or Obama snow, but yeah, I've got Obama snow backs caliber double mamma swines and a weavile in there. Adam, how about you? All right. All hundos. You know me. You know the game. Yep. Yep. 100% we're going mega glaly as the lead. I've got a purified 100% mamma swine. Cheater. Cuz I'm not leaving that shadowed 100% avelug, 100% glacion, 100% purified weavile. And then the all rounder coming in at the last spot here, we've got 100% fully maxed out. Garchomp. Okay. All right. Nice. So it opens the door for diversity even though we're talking about ice Pokemon here, there's plenty of different Pokemon that you could use, you know, and have fun with it. Maybe I'll bring that Galarian darmanitan in there just cuz it's silly looking. Maybe I'll replace one of my mamma swine with that just cuz it's dumb. What's the deal with it? It's like snowform. Are we ever gonna get that? Are you talking about the Zen form? Yeah, the Zen form. See, like there's still cool stuff like that they could do, you know? No, sure. There's plenty. There's definitely plenty of stuff. But yeah, we're really excited for GoFest, you know, let us know if you're gonna go. Oh, also, during our meet and greets each day, we're gonna be giving away a Pokemon Go Plus Plus. So we'll have some good old raffle tickets that you just come by and say hello, get a ticket and every day on Instagram, we'll be announcing a winner. We'll actually will announce it on all our social channels. But if you want a chance to win a Pokemon Go Plus each day of the event, we've got three of them to give out. That's pretty sweet. I'm even gonna show up. Time to show up again. Yep. You're not getting one. Remember like the little disclaimer at the end of every contest, like friends and family or you're not eligible. You're not eligible. All right. But stop by, get a ticket, get a chance to win a Pokemon Go Plus Plus. It's good stuff. Good stuff. But Adam, I think we did it. I think that's a show. Did we do a show? I think we did the battle party, whoop, whoop. We kind of just brushed elite raids under the bus. We talked about the-- I'm ready for it. I'm here for it. I'm here for it. And we talked about some other great interview that happened, and we're live, but we're about to not be live. So I think we did a show. I think we did a show. I think we did a show. All right. Well, I'll have stickers and stuff too. You know what I mean? Yeah. Well, have goodies. Yeah. Make sure you come see us. That's all we're saying. But we have a couple more shows before GoFest.
