And now, without further ado, here's your exclusive Patreon clip. (upbeat music) - Okay, so we have jumped over Will's, I'm going to say, silence of the lamb-esque entrance into Tobias's office space, and then down into the cellar. - Yes. - But, Trace, I'm interested. Did you like that this is basically Hannibal's friendship test for Will? - Ah, I mean, what do you mean, do I like it? Like, do I feel like, oh, Hannibal, bad man, like, you shouldn't be doing this to your friend? - A little more, just like, you took a big swing there, buddy. I mean, sure, you wanted to see whether he was up to snuff, but you quite literally sent him into a serial killer's den to see whether he would survive. - I mean, I guess the idea is that if he had died, Hannibal wouldn't have thought another second about it, 'cause he's like, okay, cool, he wasn't worth my time. He wasn't worthy of being my friend, but now that he has made it through, it's like, oh, what do I do with this new found feeling that I have? Why he talks to a Padilla about it later. - Yeah, it's interesting because I completely agree with you in terms of that was the mentality. I 100% think that that was his plan. And yet, the way that we saw him just in the last episode, looking for Lornley out into the hallway when Will isn't there for their scheduled appointment, like, this would have been a bad move if Will hadn't been so capable. Like, Hannibal would have regretted this. - Absolutely, but I also, I think it's the thing where Hannibal is kind of like the smartest person alive. He's at least the smartest person in this television show. - I would actually say Badelia is smarter because she's able to convince and corral him. - Well, okay, but see, here's the thing. It's because there is a Hannibal who's just fascinating characters because it's that, like, his code of conduct, you know, he mostly kills, like, rude people, or people that, quote, unquote, deserve it. And so, it's like, if you're a kind person, if you're a respectful person, but God forbid, you play one note wrong at a fucking symphony. - Jesus. - Yeah. - It's this thing where I constantly have to remind myself that Hannibal is a psychopath. Something, like, a label that he seemingly welcomes because whenever Franklin mentions something about psychopaths, he says, well, no, no, no, this is what a psychopath is. Like, you know, they know what they're doing. And it's like, well, he's talking about Tobias, but he's also talking about himself. So, it's always a thing with Hannibal where I'm kind of, I would love to, like, just, like, go to dinner with Hannibal, but, like, I also, like, he's also a psychopath, so I have to always remind myself of that. (laughing) - Okay, so question then, would you, if you went to dinner with him, would you want him to make the dinner, or would you go out? - I would eat you, man. I mean, come on, like, right. I wouldn't, like, tell someone, like, make me human, but if someone cooked me human, didn't tell me what it was, and I found it after the fact, like, I feel like when it happens in movies, people always, like, vomit, and I'd just be like, "Eh, okay, well, it's in me." (laughing) - Too late. - Too late. (laughing) - Too late, it tasted, at least you know it would taste good. - Well, there is that, yeah. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
