Things are getting complicated and even more dangerous as Jack, Doc, and Reggie work to unravel the Richard curse. Before we play tonight's episode, let's talk for a minute about the actor who plays Doc Long in tonight's show, Jim Bowles, who had a radio, television, and film career that spanned nearly 30 years before his death in 1977 at the age of 63. Bowles, born in Lubbock, Texas, starred in "I Love a Mystery from 1949 to 1952," and appeared in numerous classic radio series like "X-1," "Suspense," "Yours Truly Johnny Dollar," "One Man's Family," and many more. He started his film career in 1950, playing Fisher in "The Tattooed Stranger," and would go on to be in such films as "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken," and "The Apple Dumpling Gang," as well as many more. He also appeared in television numerous times, including spots on such shows as "The Virginian," "Adam Twelve," and "Even the Monkeys," where he played the preacher in a 1967 episode entitled "Hillbilly Honeymoon." One more note before we listen. As I said when we started, the series is missing episode 10, but you'll be able to fill in the blanks fairly quickly as you listen tonight.
