I don't know what Joe Bob is doing at any given moment. He may be lost in darkness or whatever, but he may be off track. I don't know. But my prayer, Father, I pray that Joe Bob will continue to work with Joe Bob and bring him into and be with him to grow him spiritually. Then he may grow up spiritually. And the Lord says, okay, I'm going to answer your prayer. I'm going to take Joe Bob across the colds. I'm going to bring discipline down on Joe Bob, and it may be a part of my prayers. I've actually said this to a mother one time that wanted me to pray for her son, and I knew her son was way off balance. And he was going through some difficulties, and I say, listen, ma'am. I go, my prayers may have God made because of course my prayers going to run him over the, you know, bring him deeper into discipline, because his life is not right. And the way I'm afraid for him, I remember the colonel out of my curls, somebody said, you know, pray for me. You know, I'm going through this and this and the colonel, and the colonel said, yeah, I'll pray for you. I'll pray that God will, God will hammer you. And that's out of love, because we want our loved ones to come across that finish line to be victorious. And you know, you don't like it now. And gentlemen, you may not like the discipline now, but one day when you find that you're in a position that, and you look back on your life and you see where you could have gone without the discipline that your parents had placed upon you, you're going to be thankful. You can be very thankful, and your love for your parents at a capacity or love for your parents and what they did for your life is going to be chewed out the roof as mine is for my parents. But God, when you stand, listen, when you stand victoriously at the vemma, at the just receipt of Christ, to receive the well done, good and faithful servant, those of you that, those of us that have won, ran the good race, fought the good fight, and we stand before God as winners to be rulers over nations, to be able to set on a throne to his throne as he has set on the father's throne, to have our names written on the pillars of the kingdom. When that time comes, when that glorious time comes, we're going to sit there and we're going to look back on the times that God had disciplined us. On times when we could have slipped away further into the darkness, God doesn't want us, when discipline comes down, it's not that God is mad at us, it's that he loves us, and he wants you beside him. The Lord wants to bring you to that point, probably more, I won't say probably, but he wants you to have the crowns more than you want the crowns. Verse 12, therefore strengthen, I have just enough time for this, therefore strengthen the hands that are weak in the knees that are feeble. When you come back in, out of carnality, having suffered divine discipline, you're going to be weak, you're going to be hurting. But once again, it's time to reestablish, strengthen, to bring back that strength and to make straight past your feet. See, discipline is made for correction, to bring you back into spiritual life, so that the limb, which is lame, may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Let's go back 13, let's look at this real quick, I've only got a few minutes, think about this, and make straight past for your feet, so that the limb, which is lame, may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Anything come to mind on that? You're a Jewish believer, back to shaking your head, what do you think? Jacob, Jacob at the River Jabak, very good, smiley face over on the right side. Remember, Jacob, when people say that a true believer cannot live in carnality, our Calvinist friends would say they are not really believers. But I always like to go back to Jacob. Jacob was a God's man. Jacob was established a covenant with him. When was the first time that, when I was here at school, when was the first time that God spoke to Jacob? But it was during the wrestling, wasn't it? No, no, prior to that, did you speak to him in the dream? In the dream, the Lord spoke to Jacob in the dream, about 20 years prior to the wrestling match. Remember, Jacob fell asleep, he was running from his brother, he came to Bethel, he took a rock, put a rock under his head, he fell asleep, had a dream that night, saw the angels ascending and descending, and the Lord inhabited. I believe this is Genesis 28. That's Jacob's letter, right? Yeah, what's going on is Jacob's letter. Somebody gets, I think it's Genesis 28. Yes, it was 2810. Yeah, 2810. Jacob, what we said that Jacob was a heel grabber, he was trickster, he was a conniver. He lived according to the flesh, if anybody did in the scripture, who are believers. He rarely had a God moment, he did have some God moments, but he was essentially always in trouble with someone. Sounds familiar, don't it? And then when he finally stole the blessing from his brother, he had to run because he saw, he saw, and we're going to talk about, he saw on Hebrews here, he saw a threat and to kill him. So, 60 miles out, he's running from his brother, he's going up the bottom and around to be with his uncle Laban and to find a bride up there. He fell asleep, here's the Lord, he's up there and he makes it covenant with Jacob. At that point, you think that Jacob would have been, wow, I've seen God, he was fearful, and he said, if God will do this, if God will do that, then I'm going to give 10%, and I'm going to do this, and if he brings me back to the land, yes, I'm all for the Lord. So, he had a motivated religious moment for a moment, but it's back to the same old same old, recognized, and with uncle Laban, he went to the school of trickery at that point and trick shirt. He leaves Padma Ram 20 years later with his wives and his children and the concubines, and now he's got to meet up with Esau, he's down on the river of Jabak, and he wrestles with the man, and you can read that, and Genesis, after that, Genesis 32, I believe that one is, let's look. Jacob created Esau, 32. Jacob wrestles, he had 32, 100, 32, 24. The angel of the Lord wrestles Jacob throughout the night, and we, in addition to start with 24, and Jacob was left alone in a man wrestled with him until daybreak. When he saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched a socket of his thigh, so that the socket of Jacob's thigh was dislocated while he wrestled with him, the Lord wounded Jacob. And at that point, Jacob had a decision, he could have cried out unfair, he could have thrown himself off, he could have said, "Okay, this guy is a conniver, like me, he could have said that, he could, well not like me, but again, Jacob and his arrogance, he could have been blinded." But what was Jacob's response? He said, and 26, then he said, "Let me go." The Lord says, "Let me go for the dawn is breaking, but he, Jacob said, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." So though we are lame, though we have wrestled with God in man, and though the Lord has touched our, and wounded us, this is a wound that Jacob had until the end of his life. Remember also that David also had a wound. David suffered also for the rest of his life, but David was a man after God's own heart, even afterwards. What do you do with divine discipline? What do you do when God dislocates your hip? Are you going to be bitter and angry at God? Or are you going to make some changes? Are you going to confess where you've been to come back into life to say, "God, I need you?" All right, Wally Gunner. Let's close it up with a hand. 553 is. Gunner makes his way on up here.
