Jones Valley Homecoming : Set My Feet Upon A Rock
I'm totally incapable and unable to preach, but I'm thankful I know one that can't help and I've been in trouble for this service as I've been in a long time. Actually, I'd be honest with you, it's had a hard time at the church this morning because I was to have you about this service tonight, to be honest with you. Don't know all the needs it's here, don't know where everything maybe the Lord's got for us. Just had just a few thoughts, don't know that we'll be real long, but I do know this much that we've got a heaviness about us that's a fearful thing. Matt read some scripture this morning at the church and seemed like it tied in with what we were preaching on Gideon this morning a little bit, and then tonight it just seems like it goes right along with where the Lord's got our heart at, over in the 40th chapter of Psalms, and then we'll maybe turn over to the Book of Job a little bit, but the 40th chapter of the Book of Psalms said I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the myry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings, and that's kind of where my heart is right there in that as he set my feet upon a rock and he established my goings, and I got to thinking about the day and the hour time that we live in, see my kiss weekend and through this week it's just really hit me a lot, and I know we say it a lot and we get to think it may be a whole lot about the day and the times we live in and the uncertainties and things of that nature in it. Yeah, we get to looking around and I get to look and see in the way that things are going and I think about the next generations, and I think about all those things, and when I look at what I can see with my eyes, and we thought about the scripture over there in the day, and it talks about hope and seeing as not hope, but I'm thankful the day that Kevin, I've got some things that I'm hoping in that I'm not seeing here in this world, but I have to get the thinking about those uncertainties in this world and get the thinking about the generations to come, and I get the thinking about both the lakes and the things that I go through, and just how things have changed in my own fifty-two almost fifty-three years, and I get to looking at it and sometimes if you get your eyes on that, you'll get discouraged, Jay, you'll get this heart, and you'll get the worry so much, but I won't deny it, I guess where my heart is in this service tonight, I just wonder about what you got tonight, the warm heart. But it kept waking me up like Santa, and my heart was so heavy for somebody that was going to be here for this service today, and I just got the wonder of it, about like Santa, and we got that, and we tried to pray for a little while of home, but I just prayed to everybody here today, whenever certainty in your life is about knowing where you're going when you leave here, because I'm going to tell you something that I've got a certainty in my life, and when I walk through this world, when I see the things going on, it troubles my soul and my own flesh, it gets discouraged in them things, but I've got something that was certainty in my life, but I've got a place, I've got my feet are plated, I'm on a solid rock, my ladies are fabulous, and my goal is for sure. I know I sleeved the trouble and things I'll never have, they don't wonder why on me they don't look at me, I'm thankful my God don't change, I'm thankful I didn't control this, I think it's based in Canada, where I look daily, I think so many people, it's just so trouble, and they're so unsettled in their life, don't really know from one day to the next, oh you hear people say, yeah he's coming back, I know it ain't gonna be long, I'm ready over there, I'm showing you right now, I'm saying Peter, where he said he was gonna come, I can read to you where he says he's not slack, concerning his promises, and I know that's for sure, and I know it's none of them, it seems just words to do. I can say it all the way along, I know he's coming, tell me they ain't wearing a shirt that pews out, sitting on the way of a Sunday, and not a bit more knowing, but God and I'm hurting, and the peace that I've got, I know I'm gonna read to you what we hear, this is saying I wanna do, because I got to think it all these things, and my heart got troubled, like I'm thinking about telling them, just have certain you're gonna be, just have certain can I be, that you'll be sitting in the house of God, if he loves there, I'm telling you, this is how certain are you that you'd be right where you were at right now, hey if everybody's thinking you're right, right from your children, down to your wife, down to everybody in this life was taken from you, where are you gonna be tomorrow, I've got you, I'm thankful under God, Joe if you'll get to reading on over in there, that's the fight for the Joe, no, he said I know, I'm a day for a living, I praise God today, it's the last ever train of God, and glad I know some things, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, How the Lord went with the bell over there? 36,000. Down to 300. You don't know how our churches get winmed down. The first little problem comes by. The first thing that bothers her life out of here. It's mine Joe. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. But Joe wasn't waiting this year anymore. He's better than his thighs in his life, of course. We'll take a second. My pulse, I say it's all the time, and I don't know what tomorrow will change. My sweet flag could be standing up for me more. My children could be going for me tomorrow. That precious little brand new can be taken tomorrow. But I know some things. If Lord sees it, take him, Lord, and hurt my life. But I'm like, well I wouldn't make you do it. We had to win. We're back when I was 12 years old. I got my feet pulled up out of the fire. I got the feet pulled up out of the clay. And I got my feet set on a solid rock. I got my ladies' family. Break God out of my God. I don't want to face them things. But hey, look at my day. I've got to go. That'll break me through. They come no way. And you say you don't understand it, but now if you lost everything you got, you know what you have. You've never earthly played in this life if it's gone. Are you still established? You better know it, because it can make down this thing. It can make down in the next moment. Joe, continue to the altar on behalf of his family, because he knew how important it was. They did. They might be something in their lives that they've done wrong. They take it from the end of this floor. It was the last time you all heard of something over the house, taking you out of town. You don't want that sentence in our life, Kevin, when we go before the load on behalf of others that we believe what we're doing. They take it from the end of this floor when people say something that says it's foolish and you don't have to do it, and I don't guess maybe you don't have to do it. But I've got a conviction in my life that God gave us children, and we're going to give them back to humans. We promised to be amazed with it, that we would raise them in the house of God under the fear and have the mission of the Lord. We made a commitment, under God that day, and I don't want to back up on it. They sleep really quick, right? No, they don't like. They're saying, "What are you going to put in the evening?" Right. What are you going to see in your life? They see consistency and continual offering before the load. They see a dusty Bible get regrapped up on Sunday morning, and they throw it back down on Sunday night. They see a place of priority in your life, and the reverence to God continually every day. They're just going to get around the church with people. They didn't have to be like this this morning. No, it didn't. What we made. I want to lay back to be out. I've seen everybody like and smiling and having such a good time. I want to run so bad. I don't know why I get it because of you. Like they don't want those coming and that brings some more message. But you know what we need? We need this, and yes, our children need this statement. They know it's like this fun game center, God, this is a lot of things, that's right. It's real. And a whole lot of life goes on and on and on. And it's right. It's solid and serious, but I want to tell you what, the hands aren't still light. Right here before we will get solid and serious. Right here before we will get down to business for God. What do they want to say to you? What do you want to say to you? What do you want to say to you man? What do you want to say to you? I keep telling you. I just want to get you through it. That's what we need to be worried about. They stay in that book, Jake. They stay on your knees. I don't know what was the game, what we leave here. I don't know what will get us through it. I don't know what all these girls see on this earth. What do you want to go to your food? That's what my heart was this morning. I bring this so much, just don't know what's going to get through this. It ain't our friendships and it ain't our family. That's the truth. It's the word of God, it's the same way she's on our lives. I only hope we got. I think I'm going to find a believer in this, right? That's my message this morning. You've got to know what's going to get me through this life. Do you just have to take the ground while I'm here? Don't watch. Last night, Bob, you sure had told me? He said he said he just drove back to church up by and he said the white ground was rich. I think about him. I want the time. He said God was a drama in his game, but he said I ain't ready to turn this. He still had turned the lens. I just remember a bloody moment, it was really bloody moment. I can tell you it wasn't. We better know what we got. We better be holding the real flag from our turn into this world. I think no hope, and I ain't no hope in the world for none of us. We wouldn't take much preciousness and just throw it at our middle of the road. We try to take care of it, nurture it. It's really great. What God did, it made me to shoot people. A man that was established, a man whose feet were set upon a solid rock. This was before Christ. No, they said I ain't a place to believe in nature. They were receiving the promise yet. If you don't want to say it then, I know. He didn't say I know that one of these days by Redeemer is going to live. His Redeemer was a lot of things. He just knows one day he's going to put his feet on this earth. He knows one day he was going to see when he's on the ice. He knows one day he's going to go down, he's going to be captive. He's going to go down into the heart of the earth. He's going to bring out those that died in place. Those that waited, those that believed. One of these days I know I've seen him. Whether it be by the grave or whether he steps out and declares time no more. I'm going to see him with all the shirts. I don't know nobody's heart, that's what God gave me. I'm short long, I don't know. But it's what God gave me. Are you ready? I need to do what you find. You might have to do what you find on your heart. I need to thank you for the message. I need to thank you. God bless you. Are you sure of what you've got? Are you established? I promise you this, my way got clear when I got saved. I got established. My going was clear. I never was worried about having written me one more time after that. That's the truth. I've had discouragements and I've had a few doubts in my life about some things. But I promise you this, I know beyond the shadow of the man I'm born here. And I know where I'm going. That's what God gave me, Brad. I'll turn it back over you.
