On FM, on the station app, and on Open View Channel 606, this is East Coast Radio News Watch. A Caseredan woman who was holidaying at a popular Underberg hotel has described the moment a raging wildfire tore through the establishment. The wind and the embers were like tree-hat coming over the roofs. That's how big it was. It wasn't just a little fire on the cross. It was a heart of tree. And people were just running and they peed out getting into cars. The Bushman, Snake, Bergen, Trout Resort was completely gutted after a runaway felt fire blazed through the area in southern Drakensburg last week. Barbara Whiting and her husband from Amamsen Dorti, south of Durbin, were staying in one of the chalets. In an interview with News Watch, Whiting says they watched the Skyton orange from the flames describing the valley is coming alive within minutes. She says they watched the flames destroy around eight log cabins before making its way to their chalet. We watched it until the embers and the wind were coming on absolutely horizontally onto our glass doors that I said to you, my husband, no luck. We've got to go, but you're very scared. You don't know what to do. Crown Gospel Music Awards founder and bucoisseur femme presenters en el em borkazim kamboule has passed away. She died in the early hours of this morning at Parkland's Hospital in Durbin. Her passing comes after her husband, Bishop Impenjulung kamboule, revealed recently that she was diagnosed with cancer. An investigation has been launched into a shooting incident at a Casedin police station. It's understood that a man walked into a community service center in Richmond, claiming that he needed help over the weekend. Officials allege that he grabbed the service pistol of one of the police officers, a scuffle ensued and the female officer was shot. It's alleged that the suspect then managed to grab the gun and shot an injured three more officers before he was killed. And tabling molefe who's with police union pop crew says the officers who were on duty have begun receiving trauma counseling. This is an unfortunate situation because it shows that our police stations are not safe when the person can be able to come and attack the police. We don't know what is the rationale behind, but we are calling all the police officers to be vigilant at all times. And abroad, a fire has broken out at a Russian-occupied nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine, plumes of dark smoke, who are seen emerging from part of the Zappari Shah site, with Kiev and Moscow both now trading blame. Both sides claim that it has been no detected spike in radiation levels. The incident follows Ukraine's shock incursion into the border region of Kursk last week, forcing Russia to evacuate more than 76,000 people from its border.
