Listen back to Paul, Barry and Mark as they talk all things Scottish football.

This is the Goradio football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 08, 08 at 17, 17, 700. Let's go! Wins for the big two, the weekend rangers on Saturday, Celtic yesterday. Also Dundee thumping hearts, Aberdeen beatings in Marin. Instant Johnson's surprise went over 10-man killing. That's the premiership, tomorrow night rangers back in action at Hamden. Against animal care, we know 1-1 last week. What a week coming up, Mark Whitty is here. So too, welcome back, after a few days away. Barry Ferguson, evening Barry. Are you doing Paul good to be back? Yeah, you're looking fit and tanned. Obviously, maybe I've got a tan, but no, the fitness has went away the last week. But let's not get back to it, don't you worry this week. What did you make out of the weekend rangers kicking off the weekend, obviously, and getting a win at Hamden 2-1 against Motherball? Yeah, I watched the game, Paul, the first half. I thought rangers were good, the dominated the game, the second half, it was like a different rangers team. But you've got to give credit tomorrow, and they get closer to the rangers, they made it more difficult for rangers. But at the end of the day, Paul, the most important thing was the first game at Hamden in the league was coming away with three points, and that's what they've done. That's love, Cerny, I find. Yeah, he looked really sharp, Paul. It's not a note, now, wide player, I like to find wee pockets inside. But I've got to be honest with you, I was really impressed with him. Obviously, he took off, but it looks like the performance in Saturday, I think rangers have got a real good player in their hands. Mark, for Celtic yesterday, top of the table, unbeaten the two games. Two against hips, and it could have been many, many more. Yeah, Celty, I've had a comfortable, Paul, they made it comfortable. Be like a go from Colin McGregor, obviously, which I'm sure we'll talk about in the show. And Celty, they coasted it, Paul. They coasted it, they took off from where they finished against Command at the previous weekend, taking nothing away from Celty, that said, very, very disappointing from Hibbs. You know, for their first home game of the season, Paul, they are the miles off it, they've got a long way to go. Yeah, Hibbs fans would be worried. Hearing Glasgow's Celty fans would be more worried, maybe, about Kayogo, and injury, the shoulder. Here's the manager. He had, I think, his shoulder when he went in. Obviously, the guy's just trying to put it back in again, but he's felt the pain. So we didn't want to risk that, so hopefully it'll be okay in a couple of days. And Mark, that would be a big blow if they were to lose him, just now, because we all know the story. Ida looks as though he's on the way, but he's not here yet. Yeah, and it's been growing, Paul. I just don't think, at the moment, I know it's two weeks and three days, go up to the 30th of August. But right now, if you're assessing it, it's far from acceptable. What Celty haven't done, and the transfer may go to be starting the season, defending your title with one striker. I don't know. It's just really, really strange why they can't get deals done. I find it strange, and I'm sure that it's very, very frustrating for Brendan Rogers, and for a number of Celty supporters. Barry is the former Rangers captain or Rangers legend. Kayogo has been brilliant for them, but you're surprised at the moment. They've only got one out there, no striker. Yeah. Very surprised, Paul. Just co-it, Matt says there. I thought, certainly, we'd had the deal with the get done, at least that. A week or so ago, or if that wasn't going to happen, they would have brought someone else in, because you can't have one striker going into the start of the league season. And saying that, I thought Kayogo looked very sharp, just to the Paul. Sharpest, I've seen him in a long time. Certainly, in the first half, it looked to me of his back to his best. But listen, he'll be a big miss of that shoulder injury. As bad as we think it has, but I just heard Brendan Rogers obviously say there that, hopefully, bank a couple of days. But he's had this injury now for at least a couple of seasons, Paul. So they really need to fix that. But also, they really need to get another striker on. Celty finds what you're thinking. You can call Barry and Mark O8, O8, 17, 17, 700. Thanks for making the switch to the Goradio football show. Lots of people yesterday, Barry, at the Dundee Killwalk. At Simon Murray was there, the Dundee striker joined top scorer of the season. He was there, but a lot of people walking say they do enjoy it. They enjoy your contribution, you too, Mark. Seriously, in Dundee, as well. A lot of people from all parts of Scotland. Yeah, I had them myself when I was at the airport. Excellent. A few people coming up to me. Mentioning, enjoy the show, enjoy the pundits, so that's good to hear. Isn't the right channel, yeah. You're sure it's not as pretty Rob's hosting? Yeah, I've got it. Ask for that one, O8, O8, 17, 700. At the weekend, went for Dundee. Mark, are you thinking? Oh, it's very early, but my goodness. Yeah, I think we're all very impressed with hearts the previous weekend. And then we'll nail again strings, but really entertaining game. And hearts could have had a couple of goals that day. So, yeah, for hearts to then go up there and lose. So, I credit to Tony Docket. I think the second season is always more difficult, Paul. They've just come up, but they're absolutely flying. I draw it to Anadise, which was a tough game, Dundee Derby. And then to beat a really good heart sign, as you mentioned, Simon Murray. Really good. I think, you know, for Dundee's sake, you hope they hold on. And look, my current terrific player in the middle of the park, but I'm sure they're going to have a lot of bids to deal with. But, yeah, credit to Tony Docket. They're doing really well. Big win for Aberdeen. And it looks as though he said to cheerio to Bozhan, Myofsky. They're saying six and a half million. Barry, it looks as though he's going to La Liga. Yeah, and listen, I think he's been an excellent sign in for Aberdeen. I've been honest, Paul. I wasn't too sure at the start, but he's grew on me. And I thought last season, certainly when I seen him up close. I was very impressed by him. And I'm no surprise that they're getting that sort of transfer fee in for him. And again, there was a lot of talk with maybe Rangers or Celtic Pinterest. That's another one that's obviously went elsewhere. And I think, similarly, when we're talking about Lon Shaitlin, I think he's a player that can certainly do a job for Rangers or Celtic Rangers fans. What are you thinking? You've got big games tomorrow night. Are you going to be at Hamden? Give us a call. Oh, 808, 17, 17, 700, the goal radio football show. Michael, it's our first call tonight on the line. Good evening, Michael. Good evening, guys. Because I've been marketing fast. So what it is, my point is, I think that Myofsky has got way a bit of striker than Utah. And I'm fed up here than a bit, Utah. And he's got important goals. But he's not an out and out goals scorer. So I think Celtic should just try and move on. Because I know these here might all be right. They will not replace them. Because of that board, they are not this stingy with the money and stuff like that. No, no, that Liam scales as well. No disrespect, but he is going to do it in Europe for us. We need an our decent decent at half or less back. OK, a couple of things in there. Who wants to kick off on Myofsky better than Utah? Probably too late. But Mark, would you agree? Hey, I'm not I'm not so sure if he is Paul to be honest. But what I do know is that I'm a light dad. I thought I made a really good contribution over the five months. I've said this program was Celtic need to go a seven and a half million. I would do it all day long to get Adam either. Were they able to get by off skin? Yeah, absolutely. It would have been a good sign. And I'm almost tempted to say, why not go and try and sign the truth? With a both 23, 24, 25 years of age as improvement in them, as development in them. And you can bring them in. So and I know a bit have to satisfy it. So I get that. But as we say, they're on the program. Why sell to have they get a deal done for at least one striker is absolutely beyond me at the moment. Girona have agreed 6.8 million. So looks as though they'll be on the plane. Any moment, Barry, I would imagine. I think that one's gone. What do you feel? Yeah, as I said, Paul, a minute or so ago, I think he certainly good enough to play with the way Celtic or Rangers in terms either. I've got a bonus for you. I like what I've seen last season. I think he's a work in progress. I think he's one of the players that can improve. And obviously, if you're going to play under a very good manager, like Brendan Rodgers, you are going to improve your game. But I'm very surprised how long it's dragged on because as we've spoken about the start of the show, getting into the season with one striker. I don't think it's an ideal situation. Mark, Michael is not alone. A lot of Celtic fans are saying, look, you've got to be prudent. You have to watch. But we know there's a lot of money in the bank. You could easily blow it in football these days. They're not going to do that. Is it fair to say they're stingy, the board, or with two and a half weeks to go? I mean, before the programme, we talked about last summer when they spent, was it, six, seven million on defenders who've not played much? Yeah, well, I mean, I think the time to always make a proper assessment, Paul, was the day after the window closes. Then you can decide if you work, if it's appropriate to use words like stingy, etc, etc. But right now it feels as though they're in the black for transfers in and out this summer. I mean, I don't care. For me, the transfer system that they've got at certain points is flawed. So just like you mentioned there, here's an example. Michael's mentioned Liam's skills. And I agree Celtic need to seriously upgrade the left side of the centre of the fence. And that's not against Liam's skill. He's got a roti plate Celtic. But if you're proper, is Liam's skills the best Celtic can do in that position? By 100 million in the bank? Absolutely not. They need to upgrade in that. So here's where it's flawed. They buy in the verosce in Lager Bay, okay, this time last year. For a combined fee, we're running about seven million pounds for the tournament. Why not go and spend that seven million on up it? To eight million a go and get some day that's ready to play. For example, a guy they've been linked with, Darryl Shae Burnley, who's still available, as far as I'm going to. He was interested to see if he plays for Burnley tonight against Liam. But if he's somebody that the manager's identified, then surely it makes more sense to spend eight million in some day, he thinks proper than seven million going into seven million, going to waste in two guys that unfortunately clearly on the up to being, being first in place for Celtic. Michael, how'd you feel about that? Mark's got it on the spot on their mark. Mark's sentiment exactly. Why are they still there? A fee doesn't he find for them? Narovski and Lager Bayelkna? No point works, whoever. Darryl Shae, I was being written about him last night and has, he is a really, really good defender. And I can even mark 100%. I would like to see that guy from Crystal Palace come. That's Slop. - Slop, yeah, yeah. - Mm-hmm, yep. And because I don't think Bernardo is in the same scale as a matter. - Really? - A matter, I always go with 18 goals. - Yeah, and he understands as well, Michael. Michael, on the positive, what about your team the way they played last weekend and at the weekend there? What about, for example, Nicholas Kuhn? Nicholas Kuhn, he's getting on to your game. You know, I was in Ireland and I watched it last weekend and it was going manic. She helped it were brilliant. One touch, but great. And then yesterday, again, I seen that I never, Callie Medrega's goal was an absolute peach of a goal. You know what I mean? So, but I, I, that's playing good. She helped it, you know what I mean? But as I say, we need to get these employers in on the next floor, maybe because maybe two, I think they're definitely a striker. Definitely a striker. And the manager has said that, you know, they definitely will get a striker, but I can hear. And especially with Caiogo getting an injury at the weekend, then they really needed them in quickly. Barry, I wanted to ask you as well, what about Callie Medrega, a uniformer, Scotland captain? He's been a great Scotland player. Were you surprised that he's played his last international game? Yes and no, I've been honest, but you have to respect Callum's decision. Paul, if you look over the past three years, for instance, the amount of games he's played, he said, no break whatsoever. And he's maybe getting to an age where he's thinking, right? You know what, I'm at an age where I might need to take that rest. And maybe you get three, four weeks in season, where you can go, let your body recover, because look, he's not getting any, any younger. And listen, he's got to think about yourself first and foremost. He's been an excellent Scotland player, oh, six to odd caps. He's always turned up, he's always gave everything. But I think it is probably a right decision for Callum, a call at a day. And let the younger players, like my nephew, like your Billy Gilmers, now come into the fray and go and prove that they can be international class players. Mark, that's a good point, because we are, we've got loads of great midfielders. And he did surprise people with it, but maybe there's a logic to it. I mean, he's looking after himself and he's perfectly entitled to do so. And I get it, some people don't agree with, you know, the time for it. And that's the footwork, it's all about the international team retires you, rather than the way I get that way of thinking. But, you know, he's 31 years old, he's given great service. He wants to keep playing for this club. Bottom line is clubs pay the wages, Paul. And I think he does well now, UEFA and FIFA. They're just asking for too much of her footballs nowadays. I mean, they are, you know, the want of a World Cup every two years. So, you talk to understand, um, Callum McGregor's body is battered and bruised. He needs to look after it, he needs to be careful with it. It's a blow for Scotland, no doubt about it. Must have been agony for Steve Clark and John Carver. I've watched him score that screamer. Easter road yesterday, no, that they're going to do it. But then they need to go and replace him. And as Barry says, I've got Billy Gilmars, I've got Lewis Ferguson's, I've got some real good talent coming through. Before you go, Michael, this is what the manager said yesterday about the striking position. And who's coming in? Well, hopefully, it's always been an issue for us. But, like I say, we concentrate on the players that are here. And hopefully, like I said, by the end of the window, we can reinforce and strengthen the squad. Yeah, it's ongoing. I've no update on it. He's obviously a player that did really well for us last year. But he's still a Norwich player. He came on for them yesterday. So, I don't want to speak too much on that. So, yeah, we'll see what the rest of the window brings. Michael, thank you for that first call tonight. Oh, eight, 17, 17, 700 will bring you some news on. Billy Gilmer, who could be on his way, he's wanted, Barry. And I wonder if Matt O'Reilly, if he does go to Atalanta, has been mentioned, but obviously Brighton were mentioned a lot last week, 25 million, maybe. Yeah, I'm not surprised that the clubs are in for my O'Reilly. And watching the game yesterday, Paul, is that a huge double-look spot on? I had Brendan Nord just speak about that during preseason. And listen, it's easy for all the rumours and speculation to go at your head, but it looks to me if he's really grounded. And listen, if he does move, it'll be a massive loss for sale. In terms of Billy Gilmer going to an applet, I think that sort of football, Italian football would suit Billy down the arty. I think he would go there and rip it up if I'm been honest with you. Look, he's good enough to play down the Premier League, but I think Italian football would suit Billy Gilmer perfectly. And the passion and Napoli that you know Barry and that, Dermando, Maradona Stadium, it's legendary, isn't it? They're crazy, they are, aren't they? Yeah, they're mental, they're fans, and it looks a brilliant place to play your football. Paul, there's no doubt about it. So I'll be interested to see what Billy does, but it's great for players to go to these different countries and go and showcase their talents. And he certainly won it, could go there and rip it up. You weren't aware it was great to go there because the secret was in holiday. Oh, Billy Gilmer's dad. You may have seen on social media. Don't give him your number anyway because you would never hear the end of it. Although I tell you, he's grateful. He was in the real life, he's been blocked, doesn't he? I saw him this morning, he was back in the breakfast show, and he will be tomorrow morning. So yeah, Billy Gilmer, watch out. He's such a brilliant player, Mark, isn't he? Yeah, and obviously Antonio Conte wants him. It knows what he can do, and clearly like these way. But he says when they can go to this area and be a superstar, just yep, Billy gets himself. Nice, we play some serento, we can go. Oh, I'm taking a game. Oh, yeah, faster. We are game, really when Chellos and all three go to the game. My thoughts, man. Oh, thank you. Would you? That's perfect. All right, the murderer. Okay, that's it from us today. We are off to listening, talking about Billy. Yeah, I still look back to the euros and why he didn't start that first game. We're too cautious. No, but no even, for me, technically, you need, when you're coming up against top teams, the most important thing to do when you come up against top teams is when you get the ball. And that's very rarely throughout the game as you keep it. And he's one of the guys that can keep the ball all day long. So, yeah, that was one of the things that surprised me. But listening to him in the last couple of games and he showed what he's all about. He's just a fantastic football player. He sure is. Rangers in action tomorrow night, Hamden, part 50,000. 2-1-1 for them at the weekend. It's been a good few days. Isn't it really when you think about it, the draw, the late, late goal from deserts over there in Poland. 2-1-1 at the weekend. Here's Philip Plamon afterwards. I saw very positive things today. We started excellent. With good football, with good running actions, with the right choices on the ball. And then you need a little bit luck to score early. What was not the case? Because we had two, three chances in the first minutes already. But we kept on playing with a good tempo on the ball. Not giving away transitions. Then you get one moment across in the box where you have the worst scenario that you can have. One defender touched the ball, the other defender touched the ball, and the ball goes really in the corner of the goal that I cannot save. So it was really an unlucky goal to get against. But it didn't create any doubt in the team to get a victory. And the only thing we missed today, I think, is to score a third or fourth goal, what we deserved to make. And then you killed, believe, more for the opponents. And now they have the feeling they stay in the game. And you get long throwings and long balls and fights for second balls. Where you need to see that you win those, that not one ball drops bad. And you lose points because of that. Barry, what are you thinking? They played the hand, and it didn't seem to affect them. No, certainly in the first half, they were really dominant. There was a good intensity in the game. I guess this comes out with another goal. I know it comes in for criticism, I spoke over it last week. Paul, one thing the big man gives you is 100%. And listen, he scored two goals in two games, 22 goals last year. And I don't think you can get rid of him. I don't. I know Rangers do still need him. My is another number nine to command for competition. But no, I like the big man's attitude. Look, sometimes he likes that bit of quality. But listen, if he had that quality, he'd be playing somewhere else in a different league. And so, yeah, another goal for him. What would annoy me in Saturday? I thought the goal Rangers lost were really, really poor. The guy had so much time to bring the ball down the middle of the pitch. The ball goes out wide, and you've got to close the cross down. You've got to get closer to stop. Crosses come into the box. And obviously, like proper sticks, he's foot out. Unfortunately, he's into the back of the net. But then listen, he's sure a reaction. And that's what they're doing. She hasn't even come up with that bit of magic. Setting half could have been better. But as I said, it started to show Paul. Most important thing was coming away. For your first league game away for Eibrocks and playing it hammed and away with three points in the bag. And hopefully, now they can gain a bit of confidence going into the game. Tomorrow night, because that is huge. Tomorrow night, because that's worth a red four to five million pound. And so that's money that Rangers, I'm sure of, they get through. That will go into the managers' budget to go and hopefully get more players in through the door. Could be another striker. And obviously then, Rangers could come back. I know people are going a bit straight. I still believe they need that central midfielder. That I'd promise it. Yeah, I really do believe they need that. Look, we call her barons done excellent since she's come through the door. The Oman day, I like, and it's here a bit more from him. I know Raskin's out. Andrew, Tom Lones, players in there, I think they need a midfielder in there who is dominant. We have a bit of experience to help these other midfielders grow in their game. Mark, trying out for another playmaker. Yeah, I mean, I think experience would be the key. Even if it's a one-year loan deal for someday, why not? I'm never against that. And it helps bring going. Because I really like calling a baron. I think he settled in really well. Ten casts always came to look for the ball. Diamandé would show over a period of six months, if you could call it, but they are kids. At some point, they're going to need help. And so if you can get that in, it wouldn't be necessary. I don't even spend a lot of money. Another point I would definitely agree with Barrio is now, I would just see now just killing a talk of Dessar's leaving. Okay. Cause Calgary reported to you. Do you know what, unless it's ridiculous money, Paul? You know, for me, selling Dessar's for the million, three and a half million, doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense. You've got to keep him now. And what you've got to do is actually supplement that position, bring in help for him as well. But keep Dessar's absolutely keep him. All right, it's Monday night. We've kicked off. You can call next '08, '08, '17, '17, '17. 700. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go! Some of the schools will start to go back. I know some of the teachers back today. Good luck, Caroline. And all of you who are back, the teacher's getting ready for school, going back. Mark, does it take you back? Did you go to school? So, yeah. No, no, you were good at your English. Yeah. So enjoyed the school days, Paul. It was a long time ago, but you ate this. Some of our old days, I'll be over soon. But great weather yesterday though, wasn't it? It was fantastic. Beautiful. Yeah, fun to this one. Oh, yeah. I'm not scared too much, but... No. So you know what I think, yeah, yeah, it gives me a bit edgy. Yeah, it was a feeling. No, easy. There you go. There's a headline, a badgy figure, some edgy, and it's a bit of thunder. A bit of thunder, like a bit of thunder. Yeah, it was unbelievable. Let's try and get back to the football now, because there's a lot on the go. Matter, really, still waiting to see Mark. Probably this week you would imagine you would go. This is what the manager said about the Celtic midfielder. Not so much. There's nothing new. I'm not aware of it. I was asked before the game that there was another bid coming for him, but it certainly wasn't aware of that up until last night, or first thing this morning. And why is that? He's obviously playing very well for us, training very well, working well. And yeah, we just continue along that road until I get told something different. Celtic started at Phil Pilt yesterday, didn't they? Two up by halftime and it could have been more? Well, it was demand to score goals. But I think, going into the game, you know, when you look at what we have, we have one mentality and quality. And that combination is a really good, it's the best combination you can have in football to win games. So we showed that two excellent goals. First goal into the depth. Great pass by Nick, and then he actually gets on the end of it, which we're encouraging him to do and get in more to the second post. Good pass by James Aynn. And obviously the second goal is to share quality, sustain the attack in the final third, come out and then Calam has got that massive quality. It was a great finish. But we had other chances to close the game out, didn't quite do that. And but yeah, I thought overall it was a very good performance. Who can catch Celtic will be the question, Mark? Yeah, yeah, the dominant team, Paul, the champions for that reason. And they are going to be the team to catch the first two performances. Baddys here themselves, he's been impressed. For Nell against Comanno. To Nell against him. Hips fine enough, Kiyoko's not scored here, but he's played really, really well in both games. And on your point a bit matter really, looks now, Paul's after one or two teams get within that kind of ballpark. And I'm only two or three million shot. I know that's still a lot of money, but it's it's edging towards it. A deal getting done. Has he played his last game for Celtic possibly on a meet with this Sunday? Against him's the lead cup at Celtic Park, could be his third well game. But I think now it's reached the stage where for me, it's 95% certain that the magic number will be hit and Celtic will will sell him. And Brendan Rogers. Well, I've put a lot not to happen sooner rather than later. So he can go and I mean, I'm sure they've got a list of possibles, but they'll be a concern as well, giving them out a time and it's taken that it appears to take Celtic a deal over the line. They're not going to replace like with like now. So you're not going to get somebody, as good as matter really coming into the club. But you've got to go and try and find somebody that's got that bit of quality. And his body spoke about a bit Rangers, that bit of experience as well. Paul, we've come into the middle of the park. One and a half million pounds, Barry. What a signing he's been for Celtic. Yeah, unbelievable. By the business, Paul. I don't know what the figure is. It looks to me if it's 25 million quid. Yeah, it looks ugly, yeah. They're going to deal that and yeah, he's been an excellent player since he's come up here. He's grew, he's grew. And I complete all round midfielder. He's got everything. He's very easy on the eye in terms of he's calm on the ball, can pick a pass and it can score goals. And it looks to me if he's a lot further than the first member he made his debut at time castle. Looked to be struggling in technical struggling, but getting up to speed with a pace, because there's obviously a difference for a league one up to the primary league here. But listen, he's grew in here. An excellent midfielder and a shout-out are getting top money for him. Harry's on asking you, Barry, where could you see him play? If it's between Italy and England, say it's between Brighton. And Italy, and why? What's that atleant? I'll ask you it again. It's Liverpool and very impressed certainly at Anfield. And yeah, I've always liked Italian football. Always try and watch it when it's on. And I think, again, something about what we spoke about, Bully. I think that type of football out there would shoot them out really. If you could run your career again, do you wish you'd go into Italy for a couple of years? Yeah, I wish I'd, obviously, a lot of interest, that was Spain, but listen, it never ever came to anything. That's one thing, but yeah, you're looking. I love to see these players go and experience different countries, different cultures, different way of playing, different languages. Certainly there's a lot of young Scottish players made that move over the last few years. And now it looks to me of Matt O'Reilly, I'll be doing it with Atalanta. I just think Italian football would shoot them better, I've been honest with you. I look at Brighton and look Brighton, they're a good team. But I think he's better than Brighton, I do. But it's one of the only ones that might be a little van Dijk. You go down to Southampton, you go and prove yourself for a year, and then one of the big six or seven come in and then take you. We're the first time call of the other night, Tom, big Celtic fan, he said the same thing. He said, "Come on, not Brighton." And I know Brighton have done brilliantly. Yeah, a little bit less than Brighton have done brilliantly with some of old watch Brighton last year, playing some fantastic stuff. But I just look at it and I just look at the type of players, I just think the kind of Spanish Italian would really shoot at Matt O'Reilly. And don't be surprised if I spanned his team. I mean, there was a lot to talk about, I let it go, Madrid. Coming in from it still looks to me if they still have a fair bit of interest, so an overall looking at Italy. But listen, that could change. Some day could come in from another league and pick them up. Because I think wherever he goes, I think he'll do really well. Mark, where can you see him landing? What do you think? I think the English Premier League may be obviously bright now in the box. They just now pull for a match if Matt O'Reilly wants Brighton to be his next destination. And there's two ways to look at it. Yeah, they're not the most sexist of clubs that say they think they've got a reputation of allowing their players to grow. So they might be like, let's say, something more ten year ago. So if you look at it, they'll let Cassido go, they'll let McAllister go. So Matt O'Reilly might say, well, this is a nice move for me. But Brighton, I've got lots of scouts from all over Europe, watching their games, watching their talent. So he makes you as a point for him. I've got a new manager come in this season, so we don't know what light they're going to be. 31-year-old, it was in charge of apparently, it was in charge or so. They're going back in an unknown quantity this season. But he'll go wherever there's a bid accepted. They need to hit that number. And then for him, he'll go and quadruple his way to his nice big fat contract, going to a bigger and better league, whether it's Serie A or the premiership down the road. So look, yeah. The bottom line is, whatever he goes, whether it's Brighton, whether it's totally whether it's to Spain, you'll go and do really well, because he's a really good football player. So I think it will just come down to who bids the most. And then, obviously, you'll have to make a decision, but he'll be a huge loss to Celtic. And Mark makes a good point. You're not going to get a matter of rally coming in. It'll be someday slightly different. So how Celtic going and what that? Because the three, you look at the three yesterday when I was watching the game, the three dovetail brilliantly. They know each other's game inside out. And when you've got that kind of relationship with your midfield three, where I think that's the most important part of the team, you're taking a huge part of that away. And it's great. I think it will help Celtic. I can take your very real heart, Celtic fans. Well, you're thinking, oh, eight, oh, eight, 17, 17, 700, Rangers fans, Jack Butler speaking to the media today, as is the manager, end of the game tomorrow night against Dynamo KF. One, one as we know. And what about his future? He came last summer. He was absolutely brilliant for Rangers last year. He was the player of the year. But it's interesting. He's got a good dialogue with the board and with the manager. And he was asked today, what about his future? I think we've got a good relationship. I think there's certainly an idea of what we want to achieve and ultimately want to be successful here. So we've had conversations and my conversations with the club. Well, what are we doing? Where are we going? How far are we going? And how far are we pushing? Which is as any player at the club is what you want to know. You want to know the ambitions. So for me, no cloudy areas over that. I'm looking forward to this season and looking forward to playing as well as I can. Have you got the opportunity to speed send your directors on planes when we travel and you always pick the brains and speak to people and that's what this club's all about. We've got to be together and it's a concern of mine. I'm not concerned, but it's a concern. It's good to speak to those people. It's good to know where the club's at and the direction and the optimism and things like that as a player. There's certainly things that you want to know and be a part of. I hope my opinions sometimes are taken and mattered as well. And it's a good relationship and thoroughly enjoy how things are going. Mark, what are you hearing that first? Yeah, very interesting. You know, clearly he's had a concern. Where is the club going? What are we doing? Are you possibly looking to sell me or not? So it sounds like it's been good, dialogue, but something that he's wanted to go off his chest. He's obviously got his toppings worth in to the board of Wolverines and to the manager. And that's where you should be. We've seen your pros and Paul. They should be allowed a voice and they should be allowed to listen. I think this is where we can improve. This is really good. But have you looked at that? Add your way of this? So no, it sounds like there's been real growing up conversations. Because for the players as well, they've been looking posted for God. Well, no eyebrows. Champions are qualify. 40 million, quit in the line. We've got to try and get the title back from sell to it. But what is going on at the club? Is eyebrows going to be ready? What are you thinking? Dada, dada, dada. So no, it sounds positive. Barry, what do you feel? Well, that tells me that he's driving to be successful. He's interested in seeing what's going to be happening in terms of who's going to be coming in through the door. What is it going to look like in the future? And I like to hear that. That tells me he cares. That's one thing. And he's no up here for a jolly. He's up here to be successful. And listen, he's an experienced guy. And it's good that he's got that dialogue with the board and the management team. And it looks to me if he's happy with the way that the club are going to be going forward. Because if you lost him, that'd be huge. Huge. Because he was Rangers best player. Be a country my old last year. Yep. People say that he made a mistake in a court final where they had a goal. But I think overall, he's been a giant between the sticks. And he's one player that spoke about at the end of the season that Rangers had to be on it to make sure that he stayed at the club. And it looks to me of Jack's more than happy to continue and try and be successful as he can. He's the manager speaking about the goalkeeper. No, it's important that it shows also that we're on a good way. Because people with that quality and they feel like, this story is not going the right way. They step out of the story and they will have several other opportunities. So Jack feels what's going on inside the building, what's going on inside the squad, the squad, how things are evolving here in every sense. Things that fans cannot see because they only see the game and the result that you guys also. So it's a really big signal, I think, that somebody with this after his season, somebody with this quality is saying that I think it's a really symbolical thing. It's a real grown up conversation, Barry, it seems, isn't it? Between Butler and the manager and some of the directors. Yeah, and Mark made the point that you've experienced players at Interesting DC, what's happening? There's obviously, I can say, and obviously there's a big rebound happening. Obviously, what's going on at the stadium in terms of having a player happening. And listen, I have no problems at all, but that shows me, as I said, at the start when you ask me the question, it shows me that Jack Butler cares. And if you've got players that care, then you're halfway there, it'd been successful. And I think the next few weeks of the transfer window is going to be pretty important because you'll still see some players get out the door. And I'm more than sure that you'll see some players coming through the door. Mark, Rangers in the transfer window in the next couple of weeks is going to be huge. They need to strengthen the squad. Yeah, yeah, they do. They're still looking at one or two positions, Paul. I mean, they have brought in five or six players. But yeah, they'll look to do more. And obviously, Paul, a lot's going to depend. And if they're in the Champions League or not, we're not talking about, you know, two or three million quid. You're talking about 40 million potential, which is an absolute game changer. So, they've given themselves a really good chance. It was a terrific result in Paul and last week against Ian McEve. I think Rangers have more than got it in them in front of their own support tomorrow night to go and finish the job and either play a 20 or a salt spark, which will be another difficult tie. But anything can happen. So, if they do get in the Champions League, Paul, you'll see a full day to go and spend a right few quid. Yeah, that's only issue, but it's not a lot of time. They need to wait and see if the first and foremost you need to get through tomorrow night, which I think Rangers will. And they're more than capable of doing that. But yeah, that's interesting to listen to a big Jack here and obviously listen to the manager. And the manager's more than happy that he's having their conversations. Good stuff. Great to have the season back, isn't it? The domestic season. Lovely. We're going to find out, is it an injury worry for Rangers ahead of tomorrow night? This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go! It's the Go Radio Football Show. After a full weekend, Paul can you hear with Baddy Ferguson, the Rangers and Scotland legend and Mark Goudy, Scotland's top pundit. We're here every night this week. Oh, wait, oh, wait, 17, 17, 700. Oh, I don't know. Exactly. You need that, I believe, yes. He's murder, but he's still getting away. Something like that would be fair, wouldn't it? Is he still alive? Yeah, yeah, yeah. What? I was going to say something. No, maybe not just now. Yeah, right, Rangers in action tomorrow night. What about the injury situation? Ballygan didn't take part at the weekend. Here's Philip come on this afternoon. We have one doubt towards tomorrow from the squad that was there in the weekend at Leon Ballygan, who felt something at the end of the game. So he didn't train today. We will see how he's tomorrow. The rest, everybody came well out of the out of the games, of course. It's now it's really short. Today was the second day, so it was really a very calm training. It's more recovery now, because it's still 48 hours or less than 48 hours after the game. And it's about making the choices tomorrow with who to start and knowing for several positions that that I need to change and who to put in in that moment and to make good decisions, what you need in the beginning of the game, what you need maybe at the end of the game, also to think about over times, for example, that's also possibility. So, yeah, interesting choices to make. Big choice for tomorrow night, buddy. What we're hearing there, obviously, Leon Ballygan, a doubt. Did you think he will be fit? Listen, but we don't know. They'll do a session maybe in the morning and just go through so many tactics for the game tomorrow night. So, I'm interested to see if he's available. And I know it's a quick turnaround, Paul, but you should be programmed to play every three days. I don't think you should have any issues and the new guys now. Jamie, who I said and pressed, he's got to play. Paul, he has a defense maker. As I said, he picks up some brilliant positions. So, I don't think there'll be many changes, maybe one at most tomorrow night for the team that started against Marlowe. Mark, every Rangers player, Paul, should be chomping at the bit tomorrow. If you're not chomping at the bit to be involved in that kind of game, you shouldn't be any of the other club chomping. So, they should be straining at least to show the manager they want to be a part of a aggregate chair in the end. Even if you're getting 55, 60 minutes out of getting in, he's got European experience. He's played that hand in already. He's scored that hand in. He'll be buzzing to have a start in Jersey tomorrow. Deserts is in good form, I think, going on bar and settle down really, really well in the middle of the park. Jack Butler, you know what you're getting, et cetera, et cetera. So, it's a chance tomorrow night to really go and make a statement as a Rangers player. In front of 50,000 Rangers supporters, hand in will be absolutely bouncing to them. Yeah, there's maybe one, but I was thinking about it the team that started. Dijo and Sterling, obviously, was on the bench and started. He's one that I think he's got to play. If he's fully fit, he's got to play in the Rangers start at 11, Paul. I'm having him all day long. He's one of the guys you can play anywhere, but see centrally in the sit in the middle of the pitch. I really like him and now. Yeah, I really like him and now, really like him. He's aggressive. He's a good football player as well. He's going to Sterling. Even if it's known to send it to the pitch, I would have him in a team somewhere. Yeah, I agree. If he's fully fit, he has got to start for me. Peter and both will shoot us on, Barry, to ask you that. Why is Sterling not starting? Well, he did have a few injury issues during pre-season, and maybe they've just been careful now, obviously. He come on last week, played another few minutes again in Saturday, but now he's played a few minutes. For me, he's clearly going to be match fit. Are ready to play, are ready to start, and if he has advanced the case, sorry, he has got to play in the start at 11. Vaclav or Vaslav Cerny, who's got a great goal at the weekend. His first full start, his first goal. Here's the manager speaking about it. Yes, of course, and not only that, also in his combination play, like you saw, he's a assist, but also his defensive work. So he's an experienced player who can help the team a lot in the way we want to play football. It's really positive for him already, two games, and a very important assist and now a very good goal. It's what we expected from him. Of course, we expect much more. You see also, I need to take him off after 55 minutes. Physically, he needs to make steps the next couple of weeks. But like I said already the past week, he came out of four weeks already after the Euros. That's that part of the season, but we are a club now who needs to compete directly in the league in Europe. A lot of leagues didn't start yet. A lot of teams are not playing in Europe. So yeah, that's a different case for all these players who play the Euros. For him, it's about being fresh in every minute that he can be. And for the moment, it was 55 minutes. We will see how the recovery is to make decisions towards the Tuesday game. Mark, I was listening this morning to Simon Jordan with Jim White with Graham Sunnis, Rangers legend, and they were talking about who can catch Celtic. We've been seeing similarly tonight, who can catch them? And he was saying, look, you can never tell them football. I mean, you're talking about Celtic and Rangers, then anything can happen. But they have to do better. And he talked about the fact that he was involved in the appointment of Philippe Clemong. But I think, Sunnis, I heard some of it, he was saying, no, he's not involved in that now at the club. But I think we knew that. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I think if there was going to be something permanent, not necessarily even a full-time role. I don't think he really wants that. And at this stage of his life, it's something you know, in a consultancy basis, part-time. I think a deal would have been done by now, Paul. I think you know, the kind of optimum moment has passed. I think he did a good working relationship with James Biz Grove as well, who's no longer the chief executive. So, listen, Graham Sunnis will always have rangers at heart. They'll always want to see them do well. But do I see a former relationship developing? No, I don't. Barry, he's such a Rangers legend. He talks about weed this morning in the radio. Yeah. And listen, you've got to hang on to people like that. He's an experienced guy. He's been in football a long time. He knows the game inside out, rangers as his team. And I think, why not? Why would you not use the experience to someday like a Graham Sunnis? It doesn't need to be in a full-time capacity. It could be part-time. So, I know there was a lot of talk last summer. It's kind of died away. There's not been much talk. But I think you always need to use the experience, the guys who have been there and done it. I think he thought this morning, I don't want to quote him wrongly, that Graham Sunnis was saying that there's not enough experience. Football experience around the boardroom table. Derek's on the line, the huge Rangers fan. Hi, Derek. Hi, Paul. Hi, Paul. Good evening. Why do you think, why do you think Daniel's getting no chance at rangers? Yeah, how are you doing, Derek? Yeah, but I'm surprised as well. He's had a pre-season and he said a few minutes in pre-season, but I've been surprised that he's not come on the last couple of games. Probably that's the reason why you're phoning in, Derek. I thought you maybe I've got maybe he's not ready to start games, but why not put him on 15, 20 minutes and start getting him up to speed. I know he's a serious injury, but it looks to me if it's obviously clear now and he wouldn't go on a bench if he wasn't fit to participate in the game. So I've been surprised that I've not seen Daniel because before his injury, Paul, I like to what I've seen. I did. Mark, any thoughts on him? No, I mean, he's kind of the forgotten man, you know, in many respects, which is a shame because it was nothing to do with the ability he was used to do with injury. And yeah, I'm surprised he's not at more game time, but I think that's one thing we've kind of learned about Philip Clemourne, pretty much from day one when he walked into the club there. He made a point of highlighting that he doesn't seem like a manager that likes to take risks with injuries. We've talked about doing Sterling five minutes ago as well. He really likes to be very careful how he reintroduces him. So maybe he's just protecting Daniel a wee bit, but there's no doubt he's an asset. And as a manager said there in his conference, there could be extra time tomorrow night, there could be a role for Danielo off the bench, but no, I don't expect him to start thinking days as he's got that number nine years at the moment. Derek, what do you think? I do not want to manage him, maybe there's a financing or something, but I'm very, very surprised that especially against my little answer, I thought the second half is a medical. And for maybe the preparation that I've had that in giving my route and I've not seen at all. Yeah, second half. I was watching the game, Derek, and I thought maybe this is the time you get more in the pitch and get more a few minutes. But yeah, I was surprised that look, it could be the case that the manager's just looking after him or it might be the case that Derek's just mentioned there. Maybe the manager doesn't, doesn't fancy him. We don't know the situation, but we'll obviously see in the coming weeks because as a manager says, he needs to use the full squad and he's been on the bench the last few games, but he's not had any minutes obviously. Derek, do you think we'll have a seat? Do you think we'll have a seat casual again with Angel? No, I can't see that Derek. I think obviously he's asked him over the next couple of weeks before the window closes, you'll see him either going out in a permanent deal or maybe even a loan deal. You're okay with that, Derek? I think it would have been a good addition to the like, shame with the team. I'm not sure if it'd go off-class, but I think like in the second half against vulnerable, it could have been light and they're clearly the thing is getting good question. I don't know what's happened there. Tomorrow night, before we go for the news, what do you think Derek, what's your score? Are you going to go through? Two of them, Angel. Yeah, extra time. Right, Barry? Yeah. Oh, I'm not sure if I can call it. I need some coffee. Derek, thanks. Derek, thanks a million users next, then we're back. Is the Go Radio Football Show? Listen live weeknights from five on go. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Call Oh, wait, wait. It's 17, 17, 700. Let's go, go, go, go. Oh, two with Barry Ferguson and Mark with you. Lots of calls coming in in the first hour on the day when we look back at the weekend and we look forward. It's not very far away as it just over 24 hours, 50,000 that hammed and Rangers up against Dynamo Kia, the manager saying, well, look, they did so well in Poland. A last Tuesday night will need, well, an even bigger performance tomorrow. A very big one comparable, I think, with Tuesday. You need a good efficiency. You will not get 90 shots like today or nine on target like today, so you need to be really efficient in that game and it's a team that showed a lot of quality the last couple of weeks, but the last couple of years also by playing together. So, yeah, we need to be on top of our game and to have everybody at his best level and then to have the 50,000 behind us to push us through the difficult moments. It's always been crucial at Ibrox and now it's important we get this at him also. Although I know that the fans are a little bit further away of the pitch and that's different, so I hope that they want to shout a little bit harder than also because it gives so much energy to my team. What a game this is for Rangers tomorrow night, Mark, just putting it in perspective. The importance of it if they win. Oh, it's massive. We talk about it whether it's Rangers at the moment and it has been the last three seasons, PSV twice, was Giovanni Van Brinkos get through, Michael Beale didn't, but financially, it's a game changer, an absolute game changer. Financially, we all know, I've got a rough idea that the difference just now, financially between Celtic Rangers, this is a chance from Rangers to go and close the gap, financially and give them a better chance of being successful and, you know, Philip, come on in these players, Paul get a terrific result in Paul and then they find something, they get to go, I thought they would lose the first leg to be honest, but they dug in there, and that's one thing about Rangers over the past five or six years, you looked in there, they always, a lot of the time, they find a way out with that six games in the Champions League under Giovanni. They find a way, home and away, they dig out results really, really well and I think tomorrow night, I think they'll go to do the same. I'll look at the drone, I think that they've had a good draw, I've been honest with you. Look, they have good teams, dynamo, they're good team, seen that in spells last, last Tuesday in Salzberg in, in 20, they're good teams and not top teams. So, look, this needs to be a performance tomorrow, fully desire and a bit of quality in mixed in, and if they do that, I think they're more than capable of going through, because it's worth money, this game tomorrow's worth money as well. Yeah, so, as I said, that could go in the coffers and hopefully help the manager going forward, and I know he spoke about the fan, you don't know what about the fan, the fan will turn on the numbers and they'll get behind the team, that's no doubt, a lot of people spoke about that, Hamden no being the best atmosphere, it's not, but, listen, European nights, they'll be in full voice tomorrow night. You're not buying that Barry, are you? Forget the argument about Hamden. Yeah, I've never been a huge fan of the atmosphere, but, I'm not, no, listen, once that whistle goes, you're focused on who you're playing against and you're in a bit of grass, 11 against 11, you sort it out there then. He's Jack Butler. We learned a lot from the first picture last week, certainly things that we could have tidied up on perhaps gave them a few too many easy opportunities, but we certainly felt that, that tactically and in the game we didn't feel out of our depth, think we could have been better as well, so there's things that we can learn from that, and there's definitely opportunities to create and create more chances than we did, so we're optimistic about tomorrow night and looking forward to it. We're in just fans, what are you thinking, O8, O8, 17, 17, 700, the 2-1 win at the weekend, Celtic fans, what are you reckoning, you've got another week without football, Medweek, then you've got League Cup at the weekend, Kevin, a big Celtic fan is on the line, good evening, Kevin. How are you doing, Barry, you got to eat? Yeah, good, yeah, Barry is very chilled, I would say, but next week we speak to you again, Barry, it's been a while. I don't know if I'll be chilled in a little bit enough. Yeah, you may not be chilled in a minute, I actually hang strangers and go through it, it's usually a Celtic fans point of view, I actually thought, I was actually pleased to play the negativity support that was in the Rangers last week, because I thought we were just in half a chance to get in a pause, I was so aye aye aye aye aye aye aye, I don't know what the negativity is going through, because I don't know, I don't know, I don't know if I could jump to the Rangers the more I think, I think the Rangers are getting through. Thank you, Kevin, that's good to hear. I think and good luck to keep on killing some men as well, hopefully they can get through today. Just thinking, go away, we came there, it's another brilliant performance we've seen, especially first half, I thought first half, we absolutely blew away, the first five minutes have actually pressed this quite well, but after the first five minutes it was just total dominance, to hang me all day down point, which really should have scored four or five, Kyogo had a couple of chances, they they spawned, but it's just on the Kyogo point, I think I made this point last week, the Brendan Rodgers and the board must have been sitting watching that game in half a minute for Kyogo when done, just for the Celtic fans, because when he even did him in that shoulder injury, which is pretty, we have, how can a club like Celtic be bringing on Nike Johnson to play as a makeshift striker, it's an absolute joke that we have got that money in the bank and you kind of go and just pay the seven, eight million for add a meter and maybe pay this, I don't know, the two, three, four million for Ron Shankland or Miyowski, get them bafing, it's an absolute joke and all it takes is for that one entry and we get next record, it's just no, it's just no good enough and I hang a lot of the Celtic fans are starting to get a wee bit, they're starting to get a wee bit annoyed with us now, it's trusty Celtic board to take away the enjoyment they are signing, because I think exactly what's going to happen, if I don't need a sign, there's not going to be, you know, there's not going to be a massive celebration that would have been if they would have done a week ago, it's just, it's going to be a damn square, this all will, it's just dragging on too long, it's just no good enough man, I don't know, I don't know what is going on, but it's really frustrating. - Mark, what would you say, I mean, I know Norwich will be trying to get every single penny they can get for him, but it has gone on for a bit of time. - Yeah, it has and you know, there's dozens of other strikers out there, they add a meter, Paul, so, you know, for Celtic to have started the competitive season with one striker, it isn't good enough, for a club the size of Celtic, it's not good enough, you've got importantly games to play, you know, you get a chuck-tister road home, a commander, you've got a game against Rangers coming up in a couple of weeks, and it's those games, those bread and butter games that gets you that 40 million, that gets you into the Champions League, so never underestimate it, so yeah, it's not, it's not good enough, it's not acceptable, that there's not been a deal done for another striker, because you've sold all, and you've left Kyogo as you own the credible number nine at the club, and Kevin's right, well, it was shanked under three million, we off-skicked six million, but I had a meter, you know, at seven and a half and eight million, I think that just comes a point where, of course, we prudent me on money, and again, it would have been an adult thing, I think they were right to haggle with that fee, so you've got to give credit to the board, I saved a bit two million quid, which is fine, but you can do that in every deal, sometimes if it's, when you're sitting with 100 million, the bank, you've got a top-class manager, and you've got supporters who've plowed in another 40 million quid in season ticket holder, who are going to be asked to pay another 150, 200 pounds for Champions League tickets soon, and they've been asked to pay to go and attend the game against him, and Sunday the League Cup's not in the season ticket, now comes a point, he's just sitting, I know these guys in the board, they have jobs to do, and they're answerable to the shareholders, et cetera, but sometimes you just go, you just go that wee bit, actually get the deal done and move things on, because Kevin's right, again, it's almost like if it is Adamida, let's say in the next five or six days, it's not like, oh yeah beauty, it's more like relief, but finally, I'm nice to get something done, you know. Barry, was there a shiver down your spine when he said, "Eida" and Lauren Shanklin, because Celtic could do that. Yeah, they've obviously got the money, they're going to do that, I think that these might have pursued either as because they're a really good four, five month up here. He knows the League now, he'll not have any surprises, and I think he'll probably hit the ground running, because he was impressive, there's no doubt about it, but I'm very surprised, and the Celtic supporters that I speak to are frustrated, there's not been any more signings, because there's no doubt the money's there to go and make those signings. The only thing that I kind of looked at me spoke about it when we were in and the office was the only block, I think, would be the wages, because I would, I guess, sell to it, I've got a strict wage structure, and they might know what to go above that, because we all know the wages down south, even in the championship, you're talking some players in 40, 50 grand a week, and even some of them, and more than that, but yeah, I'm surprised that Celtic haven't done some more business, because obviously the funds are there to go and do it. Kevin, what are the positives for you after Saturday or Sunday, rather? You were right, it could easily have been four, rather than the two-nil victory, but there was a lot to like about it. Oh, I think they, I think, going forward, I think they bound up play, if it's a midfield-to-front, was just superb. Like I said to you, I said to you last week, and I don't know if it's made sense last week, but I was here again, it's like, I know it's almost the same team as last year, and a lot of them are Angie's players, but it feels like a brand, a brand and not just team, no, it seems like it's awkward, isn't it? He's coached these players the way he wants to play, and it's looking really good. That's another clean sheet as well, so I'm going to be struggled with last year, and we were considering silly goals, although it's a very close way on. I still think, I'm going to be banging on about a striker, we must say on another set, set on half cricket, and it's had a great start on left-back. I think we need another left-back as well, although he's played well, but William Scales again said moments during that game last day, as though he's improved, a couple of shaky moments at the back, a couple of mistakes, so probably get punished in the Champions League. But a lot of positive objective in the general play was great, I think, couldn't, looks like a completely different player. For us committing, it's just been a master's throw, straight play, Brendan Rodgers, for the last six weeks of last season, this season has been great. Callum McGregor, what a strike, I mean, it was almost like watching Barre Fergusson, so it was picking that ball and playing that play-five yard. So a lot of positive players have been in the dumps, but by the way, Mark's made a great point, we've said to him, "Well, you know, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that, you don't have to see that." There we go, and it's really even half-terrated, Mark has a joke, it's just getting really frustrating, but our faith that we're all saying players because Brendan Rodgers will be absolutely fuming if we don't say anybody being into this one day. Kevin, what do you think about Darrow Shea at Burnley? Mark mentioned him earlier, we're going to watch to see if he plays tonight. Fancy to look at him? I'm quite honest with you, I don't know a lot about him, but he comes with a good reputation. Well, I think we're also linked to Davey, the left-back bet as well, he's been linked, and there was a really lengthy Ryan Portius, and I don't know if I fancy that one, but Darrow, she's come through a good reputation, I can't say I know a lot about him, but if he plays in England and he's playing a lot of games, he's obviously a good player, so why not? Mark, 25-year-old, good edge? Yeah, yes, Paul, and again, like I said, down on the program, I don't know if Kevin had it, for me, where the flaws in Celtic's recruitment have been like, you know, if you look at it last summer, they spent seven million pounds on Lager Bay OK, and they were asking, you could argue whether the manager wanted them or not, but clearly, for different reasons, both of them are not up to it, certainly Brendan Rogers doesn't think they're up to it. So, why are you messing about if you can go and get Darrow Shea for eight million, and even eight and a half, Paul, or even nine, go and do it, go and do it. If that's the need that, you know, there's, at the moment, certainly the less set and a half, two strikers are left back in potential and are sent a medic to sell matter really. There's a lot of work to be done, and in orders, what have we got, 19 days to go and do it, so I know it can be done, but there's a lot of work to get over the line, and the key to that, Paul, is quality, and by the way, you don't need to spend eight and nine million quid to get a quality print, but you've got to learn your lessons. You know, if Darrow, or Shea is a guy that the man just identified, go and get him in. Adamida, go and get him in. I left back to challenge Greg Taylor. Hi, God, go and get something in. You know, how long does it take? He's got a good pedigree, or she's 30 odd games last year on the Premier League. I think he's got 25, 26, and a national caps as well. As you mentioned, Paul, 25. He's at a good edge. He's got a fair bit of experience, and yeah, I'm just surprised that they've not done much business, because I was positive the way that Brendan Rogers was speaking towards the end of the season, that it was going to happen pretty quickly for them, but that's when we'll just nate away and see over the next couple of weeks, but I'll go back to it. Another one that signed players, but the biggest loss is going to be a rally. I'm telling you, that's three in the middle of the park. They're in sync with each other. They've got a brilliant relationship. If he leaves, they've got a big job in their hands to replace him. I tell you, and again, I'm not trying to be doom and gloom. I'm not going to be critical of the Celtic board because there's 18, 19 days left to get business done. However, you look at when the last two windows have closed under Brendan Rogers' watch. Last September, he quotes the players I'm giving. Remember that? I mean, what an insight he gave you to actually the recruitment strategy, and Paul will suit the club. At the end of the January window, we need to be brave on the transfer market, as in the club's hierarchy. So there's two clear messages. What likes the third message going to be if he doesn't get the players that he wants comes up to him with the first? Kevin, thanks for your call. Here's Tom, a self-worth on. Cheers. Hi, Tom. Good evening. Hello, Tom. Oh, is he there? We'll check shortly. We'll maybe come back to Tom. We'll double check. Barry, let's hear a bit more on rangers with a huge game tomorrow night. Jack Butler was asked about the new signings that are in for this season. They have done. I think it's always important during the summer transfers. I've got to make an impact. They've got to come in and be the right characters, which you've certainly seen so far. Some have already made some really important contributions. Hopefully, we continue to see that as players and staff here. I think we've been really pleased with how they've settled in. But we all know it's about performing. Vassalav's turned out with a brilliant goal on the weekend. Robin looks solid and offers us something different. Another sign is here. We hope to contribute. What about Colin and Baron? The manager spoke about him this afternoon. Yes, and a positive thing. You have three signings playing and they all played a really good game. You have two experience with Vassalav and Robin. And Conner is still a young lad who took some experience last season in Aberdeen, but not playing all the time, who takes really big steps because he's so hungry and so determined to play for this short and to give his best. We see him grow every week. I'm really happy that we could bring him in and it's also what we want to do, not only to get players from all over the world, but to get really good Scottish players into Rangers. Like I said, when it's signed, it's going to be for the future of Rangers. Very good aspect as well as getting Scottish players in there. It's so important, Paul. It's so important that if they don't produce their own players, which I don't think they've produced enough over the years, they need to go and handpick the better ones at the inner clubs. And certainly, young corner bands come in and I've been impressed. I love his attitude. First and foremost, I love that. It's clear that he's won't allow him. He gets about the pitch really well and he's impressed me. I just think he would come on leaps and bounds if he had that and experience heading. I think that would help his game so much and I'm sure that's an area they pitch where the manager will be looking to get a player in. Because as I said, everybody talks about centre backs, other positions for me. I think it's that central midfielder way about experience that Rangers really need as well. So important. We'll come back to that and build up to tomorrow night. Tam is on the line now. Good evening, Tam. Good evening, Paul. Good evening, Barry. Are we doing barks here too? Yeah, I thought. Hey, Tam, sorry. What's in your mind? What's in your chat there? I might have you. And in the garden, the transfers, he's transferred to the Gaelic players, who knew he was going to moderate this one. And this is about, I think, a lot of fans. I don't know. I ain't a lot of people I'm missing out on this thing. There's a well known Scottish journalist that works for another Scottish radio station, or no mentioning name. He's probably known him talking about it. Right? And here, he came away with a statement saying, "Celtic have millions upon millions upon millions." And there wasn't a street in the world in the press, not that, in the radio. There's many of 90 million in the park and they'll get another 40 million, 50 million for the Champions League. The transfers money for a railway acceptor. They've got 150 million pounds, 60 million pounds in the category below. No, they don't have that amount because they've got outgoings as well. But let's see around 90 million. So what's your point, Tam? Yeah. The point is, there's a limit on the transfer fee, right? Because transfer fees is by the point to do. The transfer fee reflects the wages, and the wages you're on reflects with your worth, the transfer fee. Let's go and buy a 10 million pound player. Let's not know what we'll do. We'll buy a 15 million pound player. We'll see you buy a 15 million pound player. You need to pay them 70 grand a week. And that ain't going to happen. Nobody at Celtic is going to earn any more money than Carole McGregor in the world in the street. He's in 35 grand a week, 40 grand a week. Nobody is going to earn any more money than Brendan Rogers, definitely, right? So that then reduces the transfer fee for other players. So Adam Eder, C8, he's one. He may be working with 40 grand a week, and he's not just coming in just like that and getting 40 grand. It's not happening. They want to try to get them for 4 million and pay them maybe 20 or 25, like set that, but they've got the wage structure. So are you agreeing with the board? Are you being critical of the board? Probably about both. Again, I get the financial dealings that are, but well, I'll say like, of course, you want to see them just pay the money and get them, right? But to do that, you need to pay them top money. And I understand that. Yeah, and I think you're talking about you. I would imagine you're giving to this great journalist, but don't always agree with them. But Mark, it's an amazing run there. But we've always said that here, you said it all along. Barry said it, if you're going to pay, Celtic Rangers can't pay 60, 70 grand a week. It's not possible. So they can't get 10, 11, 12 million per player's, can they? And I don't think ever in this programme, Paul, we've discussed Celtic spending 15 million per player, because we know it's out of the equation. That would be financial folly, regardless of how much they've got in the bank. I think what we're saying is, if the right players are available 6, 7, 8, possibly even 9, then go and do it. And the example I've set out in that is Nivroski and Laga Belka, 7 million quid for two players. No update. So why not go and pay 8 million per player? That's my logic on that argument. I get as well, you need APM 70 grand a week, but we've never said in this programme, pay anybody at Celtic 70 grand a bit. What we've said is, the 40s, if you need to go to mid 40s to get the right one or two in, go and do it with Colin McGregor of a problem with it. I wouldn't think so for guys coming to enhance the team. And by the way, see whatever year nowadays, you know, it's private. You know, all those other always end, and this is the end, and that. Don't do those unless you've seen the Wasteland. But I think he's just going a crack on, but so 50 million pound players, no absolutely not, 70 grand a week, absolutely not. An 8 million pound player for me, yes, 40, 45 grand a week, yes, going to. Barry, does that sound about right? Yeah, I think they would probably go to that. I mean, I'm not privately exactly what Celtic played at highest standards, but I would guess it would probably be run about what Tom and Mark have spoke about. And if the right player comes at that kind of price, 678 million pound, you do need to go above that, maybe 5,000 pound per week, then if he's going to improve your team, I would imagine that they would go and do that. But it's flooded with so much money down south. The championship is absolute crazy money. And also, some agents who have done some deals down there, and the wages are just wild, even in the championship. I'm not even talking primarily, I'm talking about the championship. A couple of million, 40, 50 grand a week. Wow, in the championship. Tom, it's another universe, isn't it? Are you hopeful for this season or for your club? Hi, I think, obviously, they're the last couple of days. They're a bit hard there. But can I just make a point, correctly, on the Warren Shankland talk as well, right? What would you say, yes or no? See you Warren Shankland. Yeah. Seriously, I think if he was going to go and be going to Rangers, and everybody says he's a Rangers supporter, a Rangers producer, he'd have done it, been all right. I also think I think his agent is sitting back and saying, just hang fire on your son. I'll get you doing the England, and I'll get you 56 to 70 grand a week. Forget all this passionate nonsense about wanting to be a favorite boy who'd demon or that. You mean when he's a free agent, maybe in the summer, sorry, in January, because he'll be a free agent by then. Tom, we're on our time. Thanks for your call. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Good Radio Football Show, Paul Cunningham, aren't we? And, Barry, just for that information, Paul. Yeah, just give me a right up to date there on the way home this evening. Schools will be back soon as well. What a start to the season of top self to get the top. Aberdeen's Barry, so a lot of people said at the beginning, the season could be top six, but there was no evidence. But under Jimmy Teline, then six games without a defeat to them in the league. Yeah, it looks like he's done a good job up there. It's early stages, Paul. There's no doubt about that, but listen, I'm sure the Aberdeen fans will be happy with what's going on just now in terms of the results and look, the beat are a good Sipman team. I mean, again, I've watched Sipman, I know it's early stages, but Sipman and a good team, Stevie Robinson's got real good players there, so that's another good result for them. And we'll just nate away and see, but look, Aberdeen is a club. They should be up there challenging for European places every single season. Yeah, there's no doubt about that. And he could be the man to do it. Mark, good start for him. My Oscar went over to the crowd at the end. I know he was on the bench yesterday, but the deal was just about done. They've agreed a fee 6.8 million with Gerona from Spain. Yeah. Quite a move for him. It is great move for me, Oscar. He's been a great siding for Aberdeen and, you know, credit to the Aberdeen board. Paul, you know, what a fee they've got, you know, for a club outside of of Celtic and Rangers. I didn't pay for him. Good question, wouldn't they? I paid a lot, if anything, to be honest, you think about it. They might have paid quarter a million, but I don't know. But to get that kind of money in from is absolutely incredible. So, you know, good what they're by the Aberdeen hierarchy. That said, he's going to be a missed to the team because he's a quality quality player and you don't replace something like that easily, but you're right. They look to be headed in the right direction under Jimmy Tilleen. But, of course, you've got to keep that going, you know, week after week after week. But yeah, the early signs are very promising. And Mark, more importantly for us here in the West, what about St. Marin? It's classic early season. Good first result. It's European games. It takes so much out of them. They had to draw the other night at the New Love Street at the Smizer, but they're off to Bran St. Marin. Later in the week. Thursday, the game will be. Yeah. So, St. Marin and Bran killing Troms. So, I would give St. Marin a slightly better chance in commandant, getting through, but I hope both of them do. But we do see the evidence, Paul, going Thursday Sunday's difficult. So, there's commandant and St. Man, both played Thursday, both lost at the weekend, albeit commandant, don't attend men, you know, right, you know, two yellow chads. It does have to go. There's no doubt about it. It does have to go. And it makes life really, really difficult for these players, for these teammates rather. But yeah, hopefully St. Man and Kelly get through. And St. Marin made such a good start, Mark. So, you're still hopeful for them to be top six. I know it's so early in the season. Mark can look at, Barry can look at Kelly. Classic for them as well. It was like the rules. The rules came off the other day in the game, but the fact they've been down to 10 men, what was he thinking? After you get the booking, you know, you know you need to be careful, Paul. There's no doubt about it. And then a few minutes later, they just flies in the attack. There's no need. You've got to stand there. Poor defending. I'm sure they would have been absolute raging with the decision they made to go into the tackle. Yeah, but as Mark says, commandant and St. Man have done. But I'll wait to get into Europe. But I'll wait in seasons last year. That's just the size of their squads, Paul. And it takes a lot out of them. These players are no use to playing three games a week. So yeah, it's been a tough start for commandant, but I've got no worries about commandant going forward in the season, because listening to the job that Derek Stanner has been excellent. And similar to Stevie Robinson at St. Man, fantastic job. His recruitment's been really good as well. Both managers have been really impressed by them. But yeah, I think Europe at this stage is a step too far. Jamie, a big commandant fan's been on saying, Barry, Mark, should that have been a penalty for commandant, Denny Armstrong? I mean, I was watching that last night. I honestly, I know the captain is the going to beat to the referee, but I was listening to Deals and of you after it. And it was a total different wording that the fourth official gave Deals to the ref gave the commandant captain. That was somebody all day long. I mean, again, to go and review that, with that, and for a penalty not to be awarded, then Denny Armstrong gets booked. The candidate, the candidate changed that, but they could still give a penalty. But that's what baffles me, Paul, when you've got a second bite of it, and you look at it, it kind of seems a penalty. See that rule that they can't take away the boot. I know that that could kill commandant further down the link. He's an important player. What have they got into there? See, he doesn't pick up a lot of bootings, I would imagine, but he's going into the final four to five games. They're going for New Year, absolutely, and they're missing one of the top players. I think that rules terrible because it's clearly been clipped. It's clearly apparently. It shouldn't have been getting booked for that. Yeah. Hard to recognise the table at the moment, at the bottom, isn't it? Kelly, at the bottom, no points after the two games, along with Hibbs, no points as well. Harsh on just one point after the two. We know the first one was against Rangers. Motherwell in one. Ross County in two, along with Dundee United. Jim Goodwin raging that they lost the goal right at the end, five minutes into injury time. St Marin on three points, along with St Johnson, what went for them? Rangers on four points, along with Dundee and Aberdeen and Celtic, or in six points. Mark, where do you want to go on at looking at the predictions and things from the other day? St Johnson, killing nobody, saw it, but Bigwin, Sidibay scoring twice, and Kim Pioka, the penalty. Yes, Sidibay's attracted a bit of interest from down south, Paul, I think St Johnson will all cash in in him. They can end up selling for six or seven hundred grand, which is good money, but again, a bit lost to the team. Well done to Craig Levine and these players, what a result. Ross County in Dundee United, Jim Goodwin raging that they lost it, that Ron and Hale in the fifth minute of injury time by Bunsky had scored in 48 minutes. It's these points when you've come up, Barry, you want to hold on to all three? Yeah, you need to see that game out. Jim will be seeing that that when you're going into the final couple of minutes of the game. What was it, five minutes extra time? Yeah, it's a difficult place to go, but when you'd won that, you need to keep a hold of that result, so that'll be our sole one for Dundee United. What are we thinking from other world? We talked a lot, Mark, you know, but Rangers, obviously, for the world, we've had seven of the top players out at the weekend, so I think the manager was happy that the way that they were recovered, a bit improved as the game went on, and it's no disgrace to one at iBrucks or Hamden. No, I mean, for Stuart Kettlewell, you know, it'll just take a while to get things going. I think Paul United find the formula to score goals, keep the great chance. I think that's going to be the biggest challenge. I think defensively, they'll be fine, but you would have lost a bit out of the team with you, Bear, and Blair Spittle, and also it's finding a way to do it. So I think the next few weeks are going to be a struggle for Mullerwell, but I think they'll be fine. They'll eventually come through at Stuart Kettlewell, knows what he's doing. He's been through turbulent times before at Mullerwell. Remember, last season, it was 14, 15 games, I thought it would win. The boards stopped by him, they got it together and he turned it around. But also, they've caught me a lot of injuries just now. They've got seven or eight players out injured, and they've got a thin squad model as it is, so they need to get some of their players back quickly. And if they do that, I think they'll be fine this season. What about we're touching the medley today, Dundee, three-one against hearts. What'd you make of the performance, Barry? But I went performance, I just, you're always weary. They were my favourites last year to get down. Tony docked on a brilliant job. You think, second season, people have found them out a wee bit, they know how they go about their business on the pitch. And now they've started first two games, four points. And what a result against everybody's favourites, probably a finished up, and they thoroughly deserved it. They absolutely battered him. And the first half, but Dundee's main concern is keeping my hold of the young man in the middle of the park. Because he's a player. I said that last year, and I'll say it again, Dundee will do well to keep a hold of him. Mark, we're four up, weren't they? But then it was chalked off, but the hearts found some of them were leaving early. And the sunshine have done. Day was up there, but couldn't get in for the second half. Fourth Dundee is remarkable story, isn't it? Under Tony dockedee. And it doesn't happen very often that an assistant manager becomes a really successful solo boss on his own. Yeah, and it's nice to see a man who's been I think Tony docked started at SFA's 29-30 years old. Had to hang his books up early, yeah. And then we looked with Jim Fleetman and Ross Mathie, and Eddie Black, way back then. And then Ian McCall took it with him, Ian Eited as a coach, and then Derek McKinnis played it, and Ian Eited under Tony saw something in him and took him on to his staff. So yeah, it's a great story. He's wonderful to see. And then he cruts well, Paul, and the secret for clubs like the D and other clubs is to use a loan market, well, and they clearly know the business they do it. He's also got a really good number two alongside them in Stuart Taylor, who said a wealth of experience under Paul Lambert down south in English, Premier League. So they're curbing Gordon Strackins in as well as a mentor for them. So no, they're in a really good position, and it's great to see his Tony dockedee's first-class guy. Sure is. Barry, two games in, Kelly, were sure they will recover. They were down to 10 minute at the weekend in the European Games. For Hibbs, do you worry for David Gray? Watched in the game yesterday, I know Celtic was really good in the first half, but I couldn't believe how poor Hibbs were. Oh, throughout the game. They got slightly back in the second half, but I think it could be a long season for Hibbs. I really do. And look, it's David Gray's first management, when he's come in at caretaker, I think he was caretaker four times, done really well, got a good jolt out of the team, but yeah, looking at them yesterday, and obviously they're the result last week again, sit-man. Yeah, but I think it's worrying times for the Hibbs supporters. And Bill Foley's done him no favours, hasn't he? That's, you know, it was poor. Yeah, multi-millionaire, but, yeah, why would you say that? There's no need for that, yeah. Sure is, though, that interference, you don't need it. And the championship kicked off since ages ago, doesn't it? Friday night, Queens Park in Livy, 1-1. And they're united on the Telly 5-0 against Adrian, obviously he's got Browner Sombre interview there. Are my favourites? It would buzz in the power of two clean sheets, two wins, top of the table. As we said before, it's a real, or are we expected to be really open division? No doubt, there'll be two or three that'll pull our way and fight for the title. But no, I'm really pleased for Scott Brown and Steven Whitaker as well, he's got with him, and good for the town here. But I think we've all got a soft spot. And for Ayers, great Somerset Park, you know, you can see that buzzing, there's a potential there for a really good home, a crown. And yeah, it'd be lovely to see Ayers do their business. Barry was some score line, wasn't it? Yeah, I mean, Ayers doing a good team. Yeah, Bruce McCabe's got a, he's done excellent since he's used to a cover there, and that's a big result for the year he's knighted out. Just looking at that league. Yeah, and they could win that league. I think that's, yeah, I mean, listen, don't, don't not fall. I think folk are going to be up there. I know they just come up for league one. But they're continuing to be the left off. Two nil, acting firmly, that's a big result. That's a bad behind it. Yep, they don't like each other. It's about feisty. But a brilliant result for folk are then firmly. But that's going to be a great league, I guess, yeah. Mark, not a bad point for Queen's Park, given that was, I know they were a goal up, but against Livy, who are third top of the table? Yeah, and Livy's just coming down from Queen's Park, still a wee bit of every building going on for Callum. But yeah, I mean, I think Queen's Park will be fine. It's the same way our top flight, Paul, when we speak of it, Hibbs and Mallory on Ross County, he's done the United's. It's the same thing. We'll get an idea of a shape after an eight and nine games. Coming into September, you get a clear idea of who's going to make it a top perfect and who might be struggling. So, you know, no rash decision, right? It's all Ian Murray, who's his job. He's like, yeah, pressing north end in the road, drawing low after one league game gets sacked this afternoon as well. But just the chairman, chief executive, just take it easy, calm and see where you are after an eight and nine games. Who are you going for? The championship. Do you want it? I suppose it's going to be easy to see now, because of the start that you're the United have had. But yeah, why not? You're the United? People were saying part of this. So, Barry, what do you reckon? I know that race-and-overs came second. You were going for them last season. It's a strange game. I'm going to fall cup. How are you going for? Yeah, the bounce. Wow. I'm going to fall. Fantastic. Do you want me to go and do all these stuff? I do. Do you know what the crowd was? Seven and a half thousand. I love that. Do you know what the quarter of a million of a crowd in Scotland in the premiership? Is that right? In the first two days, which is great. Race-and-over is beating part of this old one-nil. Four thousand and two, Barry. But the big crowd, worrying start for the Jags, who are one of the favourites? Yeah, but I wasn't still thinking about the after. Well, it's end of the season, Paul. Yeah, there's no doubt about that. Yeah, no, an ideal start, but I still think they'll be challenging. And Martin and Akke's nil-nil that we came to. Well, you were away, Barry. You know that Akke's there was an issue about the payment of the salary. So, hopefully that's sorted. And that's nothing, but that's fine now, for sure. Does the stick work out? No, you don't never have that, anyway. O8, O8, 17, 700. Looking a bit more from Brendan Rogers, and also from Philippe Clemong, and Jack Batlin to head of the game tomorrow night. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go! This time tomorrow night, Andy Walker will be here, along with Stephen McGinn, the Invincible Stephen McGinn, now the coach of the Under-18s at St. Merrim, but good luck to Saints this week. We'll all count down to their game, with Bran on Thursday, and Killie against Tronzo. That's all coming up this week. Tomorrow night, though, it's going to be about Rangers, and just, well, it could be three games away from qualifying for the Champions League. And Barry, how good that would be. Celtic in there already. Rangers could be in there as well. Oh, this is how important it's going to be for the many. To get through this game tomorrow night, listen, it's not going to be easy. They've got some good players, but I think Rangers will have enough in their locker. Look, it's a big game, Paul. That's what you want to be involved in, is that a football player is going to be packed to their afters hammed in tomorrow night. And these are the games that you need to produce the goods in. As I said, it's all greater. A bit of money for Rangers. I know they've still got another couple of legs if they do get through tomorrow night, but yeah, I'm looking forward to it, as always, a bit nervous. But, you know, I think Rangers will do it. It'll be tight game. I don't think it'll be an easy game for Rangers, as I said, they've got some players that can damage you. But, you know, it's very important for Rangers. I'm sure the players will know that. I know the manager will know it as well. So, yeah, I feel expect Rangers to get through. Mark, they rested players yesterday for their game. They won two, one, as you know. And nobody, well, it's far from dismissing them. Still going to be a tough game tomorrow, isn't it? Yeah, it will be, Paul. I think it'll be, it'll be a, an every one, but it's certainly, you know, from the evidence of the first leg in Poland last Tuesday night. There's nothing for Rangers to be scared of. Of course, you'd expect them, and you take it easy, and you're well-drilled, and you keep the back door shut. But, in terms of getting at them, you know, dealing with, are there for the taking, Paul, and with 50,000 Rangers fans, it'll be a chance that they'll get a victory tomorrow night. Even if it has to go to extra time in the manager, alluded to that, in terms of these options on the bench, I think Rangers will do it, probably tight, but they'll get there. He wants an eyebrow style atmosphere at Hamden. I hope, like, in eyebrows, I hope that, and that the fans feel already more at home after the first time, and the first time, it's always like the first day in school. You feel a little bit uncomfortable. It will be now for a lot of people the second time in that way, and like this, that we can create an eyebrow atmosphere in Hamden also. It would be a huge achievement also from the fans to sit a little bit further away from the pitch, but still create the same atmosphere. So I hope they can get there, and we're going to give everything on the pitch to that they are enthusiastic about it. That's our role to do also, of course. It's not one way street. Barry, you know how important the Rangers fans are to them, especially in European nights, when they've boosted you so many times over the years. Yeah, look, the atmosphere's not going to be the same as an eyebrow, because you're too far away for the pitch, basically, but they'll still go and make a noise. There's no doubt about that. No crater. A really hostile environment, and that, of course, so should help the players, and that's one of the reasons why I think Rangers will go through tomorrow night. I don't think it's going to be easy. I agree with Matt, I think it's going to be close, but no way. The team at Rangers put out, I'm sure it will be good enough to get the victory. Now, we're not sure if Leon Balagan will be fit. What would your team be for tomorrow night? It looks to me, Billy, he's not trained, Paul. So it looks to me if he's a major doubt. I would go botlin to have a near, set her proper in yalmas. I would go corner baron, deal Monday, Tom Lorn's, Sterling, Chainlet, and Cyril Desser's. Strong team, and no surprise. I don't know where they play. Tom Lorn so far, right? Sterling, but they can interchange each other. That's what you love about Sterling, isn't it? Yeah, listen, you can start him on the right. I just like him in the middle of a pitch. He's a real powerhouse, and you need bundles of energy as well. Tomorrow night, Rangers really need to start in the front foot. But yeah, that's my start in 11, whether he starts Lorn's on the right or centrally and play Sterling on the right. But listen, as I said, two of them can change a bout, and I would put Sterling one back. We're corner baron and push the old Monday. Further forward, if Tom Lorn's was to go on the right. Marshore in the left, which I mean the right. Yeah, I think that's where the finder plays for Sterling, but I agree. I think he's a big game player. He's, well, maybe apart from a tournament, but he's probably the fastest player at the club in places. Such a quality to have on the pitch, Paul. So yeah, and I would definitely, although the manager's going to say that, I bet you're going to get me a bit to go. Just start with your best players. Start with your players that give you the best chance of taking the lead in a game. And then if you need to show it up and hold on to it, I'll be it. But yeah, I would definitely have changed the start because he'll be absolutely buzzing after that fantastic win going on Saturday. Yeah, I mean, Charlie certainly starts the right hand side. And I think Tom Lorn. So just floating that area in the left-hand side, and you'll have the three that I mentioned in the middle of the pitch. Look, Charlie can't play in the left-hand side. There's no doubt he has played there in the past, but he looks to maybe he's more settled in the right area, where he can float in and come in with his left peg. Is he done against model at the weekend? Where we're going to go? You're looking forward to it, buddy. Yeah, yeah. Listen, there's a player poll. These are the game. Save your no-look forward to this. What is the point? These are the games you've already been involved in. Yeah, there's a wee bit of pressure on you, but you have to deal with that pressure. You're playing for your Rangers. So you need to go out. It's a Champions League qualifier. Go out, do the business. Make sure you get through an extra round, and then you can deal with who you're up against, whether that's South Burger or 20. And Mark, we might get our Champions League. European Knights again. We had a couple of seasons ago. We had Celtic in action. We had Rangers as well. We know it was such a tough story for both teams, but it's great to be in there on the hope. Of course, the new format poll, extra games, right up to the end of January. You know, four games at home, four games away. And all different opponents, you're not putting the same team home away. So the new format's quite exciting. Also, we know Celtic's a part of it, a bit fantastic to have Rangers, a part of it too. And tomorrow nights are definitive for these players, with Jack Butler and James Tavernier. All the rest of the guys showing that they're up for it, that they can handle the pressure, they can cope with it, that they are winners. And they can get through. This tight is going to be tough for them, but that's what playing for Rangers is all about. Paul, if you know what for it, if you don't believe you can do it, you shouldn't have anywhere near a jersey. And for Celtic fans today, you know, the headlines were about Kiyogo. Even off yesterday with an injury, and it was his shoulder, it turns out to be. Here's the manager. Speaking about it after the game yesterday, he came off early. Yeah, he had, I think his shoulder when he went in, obviously the guys just tried to put it back in again, but he's felt the pain. So we didn't want to risk that. So hopefully it'll be okay in a couple of days. He was happy with the Celtic performance. Yeah, I think long periods in the game were very good. You know, he used to raise one of the toughest venues to come to in the league. So I thought we'd played with a lot of control. She just scored more goals, weren't clinical enough in the box. The standard of a game was very good. Started the game as you'd want to start. So a little period in the second half, where we just, the game became too long for us, and we stretched triangle too direct too early. And that's where I stretched the game a little bit. But overall, I thought we were very good for the victory and played well in a lot for long periods. And he was asked about Matt O'Reilly almost inevitably beds of reporters to be around 25 million, maybe from Atalanta and certainly from Brighton. Not so much. There's nothing new. I'm not aware of it. I was asked before the game that there was another bed coming for him, but I certainly wasn't aware of that up until last night or first thing this morning. I'm wise it's that. He's obviously playing very well for us, training very well, working well. And yeah, we just continue along that road until I get told something different. Whoever are the champions this year, it won't be as easy. Next year, in the sense of there'll be a qualifying game in what late August to early September, but for Celtic, nothing until it's this new format in September. For Rangers, how they would love Champions League. Here's the manager speaking about the importance of getting to the top table. Of course, and it's in the first place as a player. As a manager, it's about competing against the best. That's why I always like to be in the Champions League when it was as a player or as a manager after. It's the nicest place to be. It's also the most challenging place for your players also, because they can compete against the best and all the spotlights of the world are on them. So yeah, of course, that's the main thing. As a club, of course, you need to look at both. And you need to look at the exposure and the tradition and to want to be there. But the finals are really important and affordable. And I think this club knows this really well after what happened 12 years ago. So it's a really important thing to keep a good balance in those things and not to make silly faults that you come into trouble. So the club is very, very conscious about that. I know that. And together, we want to create a really good story, a strong story for the future. But it's not a story that you can write in three four weeks. That we know, that they know, everybody knows. So we're working hard on that. So the Champions League can help to make the story go faster. The market could well be Champions League if they get through tomorrow, two games to go. Yeah, as Badi said, I think it's going to be tough, Paul, but I think the draw is relatively counter in terms of getting them at a fighting chance. I don't think it's a PSV. So what's of course not to be underestimated or 20. But first things first, get the job done tomorrow night. Halfway there, hand and plaque, 50,000 range of supporters. I think Rangers will do it. You think you're going to do it? Yes, score line. Two, one after extra time. Badi, what do you reckon? I think Rangers will win the game and I'll go with Mark, but I think it will be in 90 minutes. Two, one, your Rangers. Thanks a million to both of you. Great show tonight. Thanks to everyone who called in and made the switch to the Gorydio Football Show. Thank you, Maxie. Thanks, Badi. Cheers, Paul. We're back tomorrow night at five. This is the Gorydio Football Show. Listen live weeknights from five on go. Let's go!
