Please. I actually said to my wife yesterday. I wore a shm medium so it would look that way. That used to be bigger than when he was about to wear that. Now he's thin. He's in shape. Ladies and gentlemen, join the show Scott Peters everybody. So, no, this is actually an issue now with golf shirts. Because I'm no longer really an XL, but if I put a large on, I look like a bouncer douche. You're trying to really show. Absolutely bouncer douche. Like I'm going to stand at the door and not let you in. So, yeah, it's the triple douche. It's the trials and tribulations of being lean, mean, fight machine like myself. Wow. They strident in it. Streamlabs in Twitch. Now joining the show, a man you all know and love. Hater of new playgrounds and youth sports umpires, host of the six-strings podcast and visor connoisseur. Yeah. It seems all accurate. So, what do you make of the whole offensive line of their issues? And it looked like it was like I feel like both offense and defense had bad days. Oh, no, it was a bad day. So, we were right with that. Bad day overall stacking bad days together because I thought yesterday was a bad day. That's the way to win. That's the way to win. I think today would be an intense day. So, that's tomorrow. No, plot a lot of walking around. It could be ugly. I really think it could be ugly. This offensive line. I mean, we're finding Chris Price. God bless him. Was trying to ask Brissette nicely about his outline. How bad is? He was like, you know, how long does it take to learn how to play behind a certain offensive? And he basically was like to run for your life. I saw you down there. I saw you down there talking to me afterwards. And the second time I forgot the way he asked it, he tiptoed into it. And it's just, it is what it is. The head coach said the offensive line is under construction, right? Like, I mean, we're just being honest. Vadarian Lowe is your left tackle. He is now, the line is now pretty solidified. It is, this is who they got. Lowe. So, huh, Lowe. So, Andrew's feel good on when you feel good and chukes Okora for on the right side who I don't feel great about. So, I mean, it doesn't rhyme either. No, but I think that's going to be a challenge. My guess is you're going to see different bodies when guys struggle, like, okay, we'll give a different guy a shot. You know, Mayo's whole theory is we're going to put the five best out there. And maybe that's your five best, but they're not good. And the Eagles have a massive defensive front that is going to be a challenge in any drills where they actually go live. It's, it's not great, but my bigger issue is that's, that's, that's, we, we know, over something else. But we know they need line help. And we know this is a multi-year roster rebuild. And we know if everything goes right with May, you're probably targeting either an elite wide receiver or a tackle with a top five pick, right? Like, we knew all that coming into the summer. This is, shouldn't, I didn't know they wouldn't be able to line up and play football. I didn't know they wouldn't be able to get the right number of players on the field, whether it's a preseason game field. You know, the defense is supposed to be dominant. You guys supposed to be DC, DC, it's both his initials, and his title, DC, was here. Mayo is here. The troops should be in order. The veterans are here. And that group doesn't look good. And then offensively, they, they struggle with fall starts. They struggle with, you know, getting their ish together. And it's funny, I think we were here when Brissette talked, maybe not the last, it might have been the first time he talked when he said we got to get the stuff done right that doesn't take talent. Right? Remember when he said that? And they haven't done that. Oh, that's a great line, Bob. It is. It's so true. It's basically the little things. We got to handle the little things. Right. Because it doesn't take talent to have 11 guys in the huddle. And I would argue, with this newly expanded coaching staff, that's even less acceptable. You have a million assistant coaches. There should never be a point when there's not 11 guys on the field. There should be so many sets of eyes making sure the personnel groupings are right or the knowledge that, oh, this guy got dinged, so the third group is missing a corner. Okay, one of the million assistant coaches, pop somebody up and get somebody like, so I don't want to be like the sky is falling. I mean, it is what it is. We all knew what this team was. It's already falling. Yeah, I mean, if you went into this with eyes wide open and I think most people are. I do think there's stragglers that still think we're in, you know, 2016 or 17 and everything will come together somehow, some way. And I mean, there's a radio host in town that keeps saying 10 wins or whatever, double digit wins. Greg Hill? No, not that. Greg Hill's competition on one of the other stations. Oh, very nice. It is what it is. Like when I come out here two days in a row and it looks sloppy and crappy, all I can tell you on the six rings pod and your airwaves is it looks sloppy and crappy. No, it really does. And I'm happy after that one. Well, and there's and sadly, there's no fix. And if there are delusions of, well, just go throw 15 million at David Bakhtiari. I think the veterans are not exactly lining up, but the doors play here anymore. And it's not just the offensive line. Like Mike, the defensive coaches spoke today. We had tremendous early warning that that would happen. They told us at least two hours before that they would be out here. And Mike. Yep. It's a fluid situation. Maybe one of those silos that we knocked down had the ability to communicate and schedule in it and we should build that one back up. Anyway, Mike Pellegrino, the cornerback coach, who's been here. He's a holdover, said, you know, he's very confident in all his corners and we're going to make it hard and like, all I see is Christian Gonzalez. And then Marcus Jones has not been out there. Jonathan Jones has not been out there and then a bunch of guys that are battling for playing time, which, I mean, that's fine. I know you're a coach and you want to stop your guys. Right. But when you are fielding back end rotational guys against teams like, I don't know, Philly, who'll be here tomorrow, who has AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. Well, Christian Gonzalez, who we don't even know he's great. You know, we think he's really talented, a great athlete, whatever. He can't cover both those guys. He can only be on one side of the field and they face a lot of those the dolphins. You have two of the top ten receivers in football, at least in terms of pay in wattle and Tyree kill. You, you're going to struggle to cover some of those guys if there's, because I'm not even sold on Marcus Jones. I don't know that he's proven he's an elite corner. I think he's an elite returner. He's an elite guy with the ball in his hands. And then Jonathan Jones has been dinged up a lot of late 10 playing a bunch of safety. And that's the other issue. It seems like they kind of want him to be safety, which I get. They haven't had that safety since McCordy. Right. But he can't fail two roles. Is he the safety or is he your number two corner or is he your slot corner like he can't play all those jobs. So I don't see the lack of debt. I mean, I don't see the depth that Mike Pellegrino seems to see at his position group. But you know, to each his own, we owe. How worried should we be about Hunter Henry and his injury that he had over the weekend. I think very much worried. Oh, geez. Well, I look at the offense and I say there's going to be a lot of questions, a lot of development, concern. There's three guys that I feel pretty comfortable when they're on the field, they can contribute at a representative level. And that is Ramondray Stevenson. Nice 11 yard run in the preseason game. Right. Like, just show me a flash of where we're going to be able to do something. Hunter Henry and Pop Douglas. Well, Pop Douglas just got out of the red non-contact jersey and Hunter Henry is not out here. So. Two of the three guys that you're counting on have spent portions of August unavailable. And there's no depth behind him. Austin Hooper is not going to replicate what you have in Hunter Henry. They don't have anything like a slot receiver like Pop Douglas. I'm like, if you want me to have a positive take, if Pop Douglas stays on the field, I think he has to catch 100 balls and be like a fun guy, a guy that fans can be like, well, at least we got Pop Hunter. I mean, Pop Douglas, even Jacobi Brissette said he's kind of excited to see the evolution because he actually feels like he's more than just a slot receiver. And you've seen them run some deep overs and things with him. So, you know, this is kind of that new, I think, Zae Flowers. That's what they kind of do with him in Baltimore, like these little guys, but like, we're going to use them down the field because they're fast enough to be used down the field. The guy on the Giants from UMass used to be one of those. Victor Cruz. Victor Cruz, like some of these like more big place slot guys, not just the Wes Welkers who for the most part are just going to catch it laterally and try to run after catch, but Pop Douglas, that's my positive takeaway. And that's what I got. Yeah, there you go. Judon today. Oh, yeah. I noticed it in a non-contact. There was no pads and there was no pre-practice Judon. Interesting point number one. Number two. I don't want to be in his crosshairs. I'm going to move over. Oh, you want to move over. So when this video gets to his Instagram, I don't want to be out of the video when he's firing. I don't want to be on. So came out, walked through the steps, like normal, no universal backlot entrance, came over and messed around with Pop Douglas for a second, then came on the field and took the cart for the equipment room and drove that around on the field a little bit. See, he's a fun guy. And then put it back. I don't know why you bully him. And then did his thing. And then in one of the laps, he came back and mugged with the fans. Oh, yeah. A couple of fives and everything. Yup. Yup. Way to good. That's intense practice focus. And then on the next one, he wasn't on the field and led the lap, like ran in front of everybody to be hard-o and led that lap. And then got a rep with the twos. Well, and he also, if we're a detail oriented here, he was called off the field and no one replaced him and was one of the reasons why they only had 10 players on the field. Now, to be fair, the coaches said, Judon, they called him off, but he was a part of that miscommunication or whatever the hell was going on there. You know what I like is, so the team was not in full pads. But with Judon, you can never really tell. It looks like he wears the same thing every day. Is he in pads? Is he out of pads? Does he have pants on? Does he have pads under his pants? Are those just sweatpants, joggers? I don't even know what to make at that whole thing at this point. I really don't. Well, how about the fact that what's taking so long? Money. Well, hold on. They got money. Well, wait a minute. Yeah, they don't want to give it to him. Well, but that's the thing. That is the problem. Is that is this over? If we are to go by, well, to Marcus Covington, and John Mayo said him back-to-back days, we had a bad day. Which day was that, by the way? Thank you. I want to say the same thing. So there was the day after the sitting on the equipment leading up to, then he fought, not fought. He had a disagreement with his head coach and his executive vice president, a player personnel on the field. Then he was on Twitter saying, "Make me look bad again." Then he was showing you he was playing video games. Then he did an interview where he did some weird jalani tovai thing. Step brothers, let's have fun. Oh, yeah, I had tovai at the beginning of the press. Until P.R. said, "Jalani, this is not what we need to be doing. Get out of this frame." And he said, well, how was the wording? I said, play game didn't say nothing about it. So which of these days was the hiccup or the bad day? Just sit down and talk. I got to be honest, I was a good line by him in that retort. I'm generally on your side. It was a solid line. Yeah, nothing like saying that to a 13-year veteran with two Super Bowls and who recruited one more free 18-year than Jude on this. No chance. No offense. He knew who you were or what you were. No, it's funny because we've talked to him plenty of times. Yeah, but he wasn't thinking that way, I don't think. I think he was just firing off. He's so emotionally triggered. He's a child. At least he made sure to note on his Twitter that it was him tweeting it. Yes, yes, which he pretends other times that it isn't even though I think we all think it is when he's pretending it isn't. If this is the excitement that we get, I'm fine with it. Otherwise, an otherwise boring season, which is going to be where wins are going to be in short supply. I hope they drag this out until at least October. Well, because we had the little hiccup with a yuke, where we got that short window of entertainment. Shut that window. What else do we have? I keep saying. I think Joe Milton's backflips are probably the most exciting thing we see on the practice field. This is why you know it's so... I think he realized I'm going to give the people a show. There's nothing here. This is when you know it's bad. We can't really even manufacture a quarterback controversy after a preseason game number one where Joe Milton is basically the highlight. It's not even a Malik Cunningham 2.0. It's like we're hinting with it, but it's like it has no legs. Which is weird because it should because there's nobody entrenched. I mean, Jacobi Brissette is entrenched. He takes the first rep of every Joe, whatever, but he's no offense to him. Jacobi Brissette, like he's a journeyman backup guy. Even he said when we were talking with us just kind of what is... Comes with the job. Right. Right. He's $8 million worth it. The problem is early in practice, you see Joe Milton run left. Oh, front pylon and he bounces at it like the five and you're like, "Oh, there was a reason why he went in the sixth round and not the sixth tick." That's why you're not. So, like, I don't know if you want to be a Fitzy, if you want to be just a raw, raw, like... It, Demario Douglas. Yeah. Ramondre Stevenson, you know who's grown on me a lot is Gibson, Antonio Gibson. I feel like there's going to be some spark plays both as a pass catcher, but also as a change of pace runner. They've struggled with the run game on the practice field for the most part. He every once in a while shows you a little burst, a little spark where I feel like he could be a fun player on this offense, but I just... My base rule of sports is like, entertain me first. I understand for you guys it's a business and you're competing for titles. No, same. But for me, like, if I have to tune in, entertain me. Like, I want to see things entertaining and right now it feels like this team is going to struggle to entertain, never mind when. Well, I mean, what do you think is going to happen? I know they got the joint practice. Yeah. We'll talk to you Wednesday again, but what do you think right now? No, we won't. Oh, we won't. Oh, that's Jimmy Fallon. Okay, we won't. So, yeah, so tell me now then. Wait, why can't you talk to me tomorrow? You're not going to be here? Oh, Jimmy Fallon tomorrow. No, Jimmy Fallon Tuesday and Wednesday. Did your ears turn off for a second? No, I mean, he said he, I wasn't. Thank you. Just own it. Thank you. You're the anti-Judon. You own it. Yep. What do you think is going to happen then tomorrow and if it will have any bearing on what they do on Thursday? Well, I think tomorrow should be a really physical competitive practice. What do you say? Heavy on the May, heavy on the May. I think which is set. Which is part of my issue with the way this has been handled and I do think it was mismanaged by Drod Mayo. That it's great that you had some plan like, oh, because there was a differentiation last Thursday night. There was the real quarterbacks who got a series each and then were treated like real players, right? Just like the Panthers didn't play Bryce Young. Real guys aren't playing this game. The problem is, okay, we're going to ramp it up for Drake May in joint practices and game against the Eagles. Arguably one of the two or three most. He needs some of those feel-good reps. He needs to boot out. He needs Joe Milton time to make some plays. Now there's a little buzz. He's like, I can do this. I can play on an NFL field. I'm not sure he's going to get a lot of that with the double clutch. Oh, crap. Jordan Davis is in my mug. Batten balls down. The Eagles could make life tough on him. That's why you can't get back those pick-me-up reps. It's almost why I wish I said this to Fitzy on the post-game show. If you were really building for me, it would be Drake May would have got some against the Panthers. And if you played the commanders, a better team, and then build toward the Eagles, and let it be a true kind of progression. Step one, step two, step three type thing. He went from six snaps against a Panthers backup roster. And now he's going to play two days on Tuesday, Thursday against the Eagles. I don't know that you're building A, his good experiences, but his confidence. And I'm not saying he lacks confidence, but everybody wants to build. Whether it's real or fake, it doesn't matter. I almost don't care. And what's the confidence level Drake May has of the people around him? Namely, the five up front. Right. And that goes for both guys. I mean, I think that offensive line that's been a talking point is going to be against that physical Eagles front. And I know the Eagles are facing their own challenges. Like, their coach may hate their quarterback and vice versa. But they're talented. Well, they also have a 65-year-old defensive coordinator who yells at people. Okay. So, apparently, those things don't happen to me. And you like that? Well, I think the Eagles players have come out and said, "Oh, yeah. He holds us accountable. We like that. We listen to him." Like, they're responding to Vic Fangio kind of being like, "Y'all got a ton of talent, but y'all stink." And that's where I play your side of the street a little bit. Jacobi Brissette has been complaining about pre-snap penalties and disruptions for two weeks. And it hasn't improved. So, at some point, that reflects on the coaching, right? And then 64 jumps off sides. And he runs a lap, but the whole unit doesn't. But the defense, like, the consistency. And I do think there's a little bit of like Jesus' age. We can't run them lap every-- I know. Remember when Austin Hooper said we can choose to be a cross-country team or a football team? Yep. There's a little truth to that. I feel like if you, every time they effed up, you made them run a lap. I'm not sure you'd ever get the practice done. And if we're still pinging and hanging around with basics, good, Lord. Right. That's what we're doing here. I mean, jumping off sides and stuff. That-- the Lacon Robinson, I guess, was his name. The kid, 64, who was running. All right, that's a rookie. Right. So I can at least be like, all right, they say, dumb rookie, you go run. But when you see the whole team doing it and your gas and the coaches out, too, they got to run. Right. Especially some of the bigger ones. Yeah. Not happening. Yeah. He needs a kick and go. Yeah. I've been like, give me a scooter. Get a scooter. Scooter or whatever. This has been a very negative segment. I mean, probably-- Maybe it's a realistic segment. What are we selling here? I mean, we're not Douglas. We're selling the real-- Joe Milton. No, but we're selling the realism of kind of what is going on right now. We didn't even get into Miss throws in the corner of the end zone, and balls should-- Oh, the Brissette one. Oh, that Brissette-- The Brissette throw was when I turned to everybody and said-- Yep. Keep telling me this team might not be able to-- Yeah. Like, zero wins is in play. If you can't make that-- Because you're not talented enough to say-- Oh, we'll get it. Can't whisk those away. If Brady misses that or Peyton Manning, they go, I'll get it on second down. Correct. You're not-- you might not get another chance at that. And that's-- there's been a lot of those, and it's not just on Brissette. There is-- like, Javon Baker, I think, rounds his routes off. I think he's a guy that's been-- He's not ready. He's been buried. Yeah. So he takes some twos, but then he also takes the threes. I think there's some questions about him. K.J. Osborne has not shown up for sort of your veteran upgrade at receiver opportunity. He's your fifth guy right now. There's just-- and that's where I don't put it on just the quarterbacks. The quarterbacks are going to be the whipping boys all season long. Yeah. Because their mistakes are going to be magnified. But the line and the receivers are complicit in this ineptitude. All right. It was a good sentence right there. Yeah, complicit in this ineptitude. When are you back on as you pat yourself on the back there? Barry Horowitz. When are-- what's your schedule this week? I think next time will be the Thursday post-game show. Join us after the game. Fitsy and hard-- That'll change. Driving home from Gillette's-- it changes very quickly. You're right. I'm surprised you're not telling me he's off tomorrow or something. No. Oh, no. We're in Boston. He's working tomorrow. He misses days here. Not up in Boston. It's still a day off. Oh, boy. And I enjoy my drives into work. Oh, I'm sure you do. Why? Yeah, right. Because he wants to torture himself. Pinch yourself a whole ride. All-star, closer, Ken Lee Jans and we have a question.
